I loved this place! It's so cozy, the service was great and the food delicious! We had an adorable server with a beautiful accent who was very attentive to us. I had a seafood crepe and my friend had a chicken and spinach crepe and we were both very pleased. The baguettes and wine were wonderful as well. I'll be going back!

I love this restaurant, I attended a Bridal Luncheon here. All of the food was fabulous and authentic. The atmosphere is romantic.

Went here with another couple Saturday night. I have been before for lunch but this was a first for dinner. Let's start with the obvious. This is for people who want a true Parisian experience and not a French wannabe American version of a café. The setting is very traditional as well as the mom and pop service. This means it is not rushed and the lady who has owned this place with her husband for 25 years will actually spend time talking to you and discussing the menu. The menu is limited but that works to their advantage as what they do have is well made. The soups are either tomato basil or traditional French onion. My wife got the tomato and thought it was excellent. I decided on the French onion and I liked it a lot. It had a strong sharp cheese taste and not the mild American version that most chain restaurants serve. We also were served a French baguette bread with butter. Nice tasting bread served hot and the butter may have been packaged but it also had a rich buttery flavor so it was good. We also shared a Salade Verte which is a basic green salad. It was nothing special but they have other salad selections available it's just that my wife wanted a plain salad. I would go with the Salade Nicoise next time as that is with the other couple had and you can just tell by their reaction and the way it looked that they ordered the better choice. My wife had the Crepe au Poulet Florentine which is a crepe with sliced chicken breast in a spinach Mornay sauce. This is a very large serving but the crepe was light and cooked perfect. The flavor was well balanced and she paired it with a house red wine that was light and dry. The wine was a very good compliment to the crepe as if it were heavy the whole meal would have tilted to an extreme overload; especially if you want to save room for dessert. I had the Crêpe au Poulet et Jambon which is chicken Florentine and smoked ham. It was excellent. The smoked ham was delicate and the smokiness with the sharp cheese sauce was a great mix. We finished the evening off with a dessert crepe. We shared a Crêpe Brazillienne which is a crepe filled with chocolate mousse, raspberry sauce, cherries and almonds. The mousse was light but had a distinct chocolate flavor to it. The cherries in raspberry sauce was fantastic and combined with the mousse and sliced almonds it was one of the best desserts my wife and I have had in a long time. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't too rich but well balanced and a great finish to our meal. The only bad thing I can say about this place is the location. It is tucked away behind a Thai restaurant and it is a case of out of sight out of mind. I believe they would have had greater success over the years if you didn't have to play Inspector Clouseau to find it.

Had New Years Eve dinner in this lovely little hideaway. Food was great and loved the trains passing by.

Two friends and I were here for dinner on a week night. Charming place. The food was excellent...outstanding, as a matter of fact. The atmosphere was quiet, pleasant and enjoyable. However, we were off-put by the slovenly attire of the server person and her manner, which bordered on just downright rude unfriendliness. My two friends and I go somewhere for dinner every month and we quickly decided this darling place will not be a repeat simply because of the service...or lack thereof. We left her a nice tip, which she did not deserve. Sad.

We tracked down this restaurant, like one would find a yard sale. Signs directing around sharp turns, down parts of the square few have traveled. It was a bit exciting and made the anticipation elevate far beyond the food itself. The food itself is so so. My salad had a mix of fresh green and canned vegetables. Almost like a 'kitchen sink' salad. Then drenched with a bitter dressing perhaps to cut the odd taste.

This place was a little hard to find, as others have said, solely because it is at the back of the buildings on the Marietta Square. However, the food was well worth the extra steps! We went and were greeted by the owner, who has a wonderful French accent! He was attentive and helped us to choose what to eat. We ordered a baguette, which was delicious! Even better dipped into the French Onion Soup! All four of us ordered crepes for dinner and they were so tasty! The seafood crepe with shrimp, scallops, and mushrooms was to die for...I could have had the sauce on it with just about any food! We definitely cleared our plates! The chicory coffee was strong and flavorful--definitely hit the spot on a chilly night. We will certainly go back!

What are you waiting for.....get here. The ambience is extremely relaxing, clean and inviting. I started with the French Onion soup, of course expected your typical beef broth based norm, however, surprise it's a version from the owners region of France. Onion, herbs in a wine sauce with an amazing layer of cheese. I'm setting here listening to the music thinking Gershwin would have been at home here. The chicken Florentine crepe may cause an addiction to this wonderful little find.

We were going to the other crepe place on the square but it was super packed and hectic. La Cafe Crepe just opened at 11:30 so we opted for this spot. I'm so glad we did. La Cafe Crepe is so quaint and definitely more authentic. It had a mom and pop feel to it. They have a petite menu but everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered a croissant with butter and French onion soup to share. I think it's supposed to be a meal because it was hearty! Of course the croissant was good (and didn't really need the extra butter) but the French onion soup was so perfect. It was the first time my bf had French onion soup and he asked why he never had this before. The cheese was crusty and gooey and the bread wasn't soggy. The best part was the soup. It's so much better than those overly salty beef broth you usually get at other places. I got the mushroom crepe and my bf got the seafood one. Both dishes were very tasty and perfectly seasoned. If you're in the mood for good food and relaxed atmosphere, this place is for you. If you're, looking for something quick, go to a fast food joint.

It was ok. My spousal unit seemed to love it. I think she liked it only because it triggers memories of our trips to Paris and Nice. Well sadly it pales in comparison to what you would find at a mediocre restaurant in France. Sorry to rant, but really they charge for bread? Really? No where , and I've been all over the world, have I been charged for bread with a meal at a restaurant. End rant. The bread was very good, the salad was a salad, the quiche was good, the dessert crepe was very good, service was attentive, ambience was quaint. My tip, just get a dessert crepe and coffee, have your dinner else where.

More than three stars, less than four -- based on yesterday's lunch. This is an intimate restaurant with a limited, yet lovely lunch menu: soups, salads, quiche, crepes. Linda -- my frequent lunch companion -- opted for a seafood crepe, which she thought excellent. I had a crock of onion soup coupled with a small salad paysanne (greens, smoked ham, cheese, tomatoes.) My only complaint: while cheesy and filling, the onion soup was a bit lacking in flavor. The owner, a busy Frenchman who cooks, serves and seats -- actually one can sit where one likes -- provided info about his one-Saturday-a-month prix fixe dinners. Sounds great, certainly affordable and worth checking out. Reservations required. TWO WEEKS LATER: Strolling around Marietta Square after dinner. Where to go for coffee and dessert?? Hmmm..... Café Crepe!! Each of us ordered a different dessert crepe, and each of us said 'mmmmmm!' Monique, co-proprietor, was charming, chatty and solicitous. A sweet end to our evening.

Love this place. Took my girlfriend on a date here on a whim and it has a nice romantic atmosphere. The onion soup was delicious. It was hearty and flavorful yet not too salty. The seafood crepe had so much shrimp, it too was really good.

Had an amazing experience. Food was to die for and the couple working there were so sweet and kind. They are from France too. Ignore all the bad reviews on here for slow service. You obviously don't know French. The pace is slow to make French food first of all. It takes time. Use that time to chat, it's part of the wonderful experience. Besides, the food is worth the wait. If you want a cute, romantic and intimate experience come here!

Le Cafe Crepe looks like a quaint restaurant in the back of Marietta Square. It looked dead during lunch, but the traffic picked up. This place has been open since the 80's. And it's run by the same old guy. For nearly 30 years of living here, he still has a thick French accent. Just like the name implies, they serve crepes. They also have quiches, soups, and bread. Their lunch menu looks simple. I tried the seafood crepe. The seafood crepe tasted okay. I wasn't blown away or anything. But it wasn't horrible. I don't know how else to put it other than saying it tasted okay. The batter was mushy. I'm not sure if it was underdone, or if this is how real French crepes are suppose to be. This place is run by the old owner and one other dude. So they run this place at a leisurely pace. I would come here if I had a lot of time to kill--and want crepes. It's probably a decent place to take a date for a romantic dinner or lunch.

Wonderful menu, amazing ambiance, great prices. Only thing I would change is possibly one more server. Love this place.

My sister, cousin and I went here for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. The food was beyond outstanding. The service was a bit slow and the server was less attentive than I felt she should be for the price you pay, but that may be because we were there at lunch time. It wasn't enough of a problem to keep us from going back. I'm looking forward to a return trip with the hubby. P.S. Save room for dessert!!

Le Cafe Crepe is a small French cafe located at Marietta Square. It's in an odd location because it's not actually on the Square, but facing away from it. The restaurant is next door to Thaicoon and Sushi Bar and faces the railroad tracks. It doesn't border an actual street, so the address can be confusing. The best place to park for this place is the free Marietta Square parking lot near the intersection of North Marietta Parkway and Mill Street. From that parking lot, cross over the railroad tracks and immediately make a left and head down the brick sidewalk. You'll run into Le Cafe Crepe almost immediately, after passing Thaicoon. This is a quaint little restaurant. It's quiet and feels like you're dining in someone's living room. Like your grandma's living room. You better have good manners. In fact, this place seems very popular with grandmas and generally, an older crowd. At least this was the case when I visited over a Wednesday lunch break. The owner, an older French man, greeted us and said we could sit anywhere. He handed us menus, which were pretty simple. There is a lunch menu, a dinner menu, and a dessert menu. Both the lunch and dinner menus are divided into four sections: soups, salads, quiches, and crepes. At lunch and dinner, the soup, salad, and quiche selection is the same. The only difference is higher prices at dinner. As for crepes, there is more selection at dinner and the crepes cost more. Expect to spend about $8-9 per single crepe or $15-17 per double crepe at lunch. At dinner, expect each of those price ranges to increase by about a dollar. I tried #21 on the lunch menu: Crepe au Poulet Florentine which is a crepe with sliced chicken breast in a spinacy Mornay sauce. Mornay sauce is like Bechamel sauce except it has cheese added. I thought the crepe was delicious. It was served hot, freshly made from the kitchen. The batter was light and delicate, not heavy at all. The outside was sprinkled with parsley. The rich, smooth, and flavorful Mornay sauce made this crepe. Honestly, as long as it has this sauce, I think the crepe would taste great with any filling. The chicken breast in my crepe was tender and savory enough. Examples of other fillings you can get include smoked ham, shrimp, scallops, vegetables, and fruit. Service was okay. The owner/head chef took orders, handled payments, and served food. There was a younger man in the kitchen preparing the food. They seemed very laid back. I think Le Cafe Crepe would get a lot more business if they had a more visible location on the Square. However, this place has been around for a long time, so it looks like they've been doing just fine.

Fantastic French restaurant! Kind of hard to find the location since it is tucked away behind the train tracks but it is truly authentic French food.

I absolutely LOVE this place. A hidden treasure just outside the Marietta Square. The food is incredible, the servers are friendly and warm, and the atmosphere is overall warm and cozy. If you want a French experience like you'd get in Paris itself, this is definitely the place to go!

Went there for a party. It was very sweet, a couple runs the place both obviously french. The baguette was good, especially with the butter. The red wine was good, they offered by the glass but we just split a bottle. My friends loved their creamy tomato basil soup, I think they said it was the best part of their meal. I got the mushroom chicken crepe. It reminded me of something I actually ate in Paris, minus the flames. It was AWESOmE, beat the pants off the chicken spinach crepe and the cheese and artichoke crepe. For dessert we had crepes. They were pretty good. I am not sure if the vanilla custard sauce for this was homemade or not. But the pineapple was fresh. My friend liked their chocolate mousse crepes. I remember banana and chocolate crepes being popular in Paris. I bet if they were to sell nutella and banana crepes, people would go crazy! Seriously! Great little place. Nice people. The coffee was awesome too! Tres french!

Discovered this little jewel while walking around Marietta Square a little later in the evening. It's set back off the Square and not visible on the main streets. What a fabulous find. This cafe' is your typical parisian cafe. I felt as though I walked back into Paris as soon as I opened the door. It's your typical little quant cafe and it's adorably decorated and comfortable. I have now been 3 times and last week was my first dinner experience there. As expected the food and wine were wonderful. We were there on a Thursday night and they were fairly busy. I highly recomend a reservation if you are going for dinner. The room is fairly small, as most parisian cafe's are. This cafe is run by a wonderful couple who have been serving in Marietta for 28 years. They are as traditionally french as they could be. Prices are very resonable and each dish is prepared to order. The only thing I would say that you should know, is if you are in a hurry, this may not be the place for you. The service is tradintionally slow - which is how the french are in Paris and when you are visiting this resturant, you will want to go with the flow and simply enjoy the experience. One of my new favorite resturants on the Square!

I would love to give this place a 3.5 Stars but I am unable to... First off the food is great as is the hot chocolate. The bad thing is.. when we went... they were out of EVERYTHING! They had no milk for coffee, they were out of quiche and french onion soup. BUT what they did have was very tasty. I will definately go back but with the thought in my head that I might not get what I want and have to get something else.

We found this restaurant online when I was searching for french onion soup. We went around 7:00pm, and it was such a quaint and laid back atmosphere. The french onion soup was incredible. I had a crepe with butter and my husband had quiche. He is a hard sell but loved this place as well. We will definitely be back!

A little hard to find...it's next to the railroad tracks...but worth the search. Romantic atmosphere and wonderful food. The menu is limited, but everything on it is very good to excellent. The flavor of the mushrooms in their crepes is exquisite. Cosy, you won't be rushed, and prices are reasonable.

Très délicieux! Le Cafe Crepe is a tiny little restaurant hidden on the backside of the Marietta Square (train track side). If you are not deliberately seeking this specific restaurant, then it is very possible that you would never know it's there. A couple of my friends introduced me to the little gem a few years back, and I find myself day dreaming about it every now and then. It's a funny little place (and by little, I do mean small). I think there's one chef in the tiny kitchen running the show, like a one man band...popping out magnum opuses one after another! And one lady, in particular, is usually the waitress (although I have seen others too) and she has the cutest French accent you could ever imagine (nice lady, too)! The dining room is dark and cozy, and pretty small (so don't randomly bring in a party of more than 6 without a reservation). It has a cute artsy feel thanks to some funky paintings on the wall that are for sale, should you be interested in purchasing some pricey modern art splatter paint with your baguette. On to the meal! You've gotta try the tomato soup! Even if you don't like tomato soup, I promise you will like this one! It's got a nice cream base and delicate tomato pieces throughout, warm and comforting. Great with a slice of baguette (oh, bread is not free, so you have to purchase that too, if you want it....two slices will set you back approx 70 cents...big woop...oh but in case you're wondering, yes it's worth it! Go ahead and get a whole loaf while you're at it, Tiger!). When ordering the crepes, you can not go wrong with the Crepe Florentine (chicken and spinach). Oh yum! It's one of those things where I go, "Quick! If I lick the plate right now, will anyone notice?!" You have a choice between single or double portion. Ladies: one is pretty big, two will make you stuffed. If you plan on getting a salad or soup plus dessert (and you know you are, you little devil *wink*) stop while you're ahead and just get one. Or get two...whatever. A few words of caution (reason for 5-1 star): Their hours of operation are kind of finicky. Better be safe and call ahead, check on line, make reservations (Saturdays REQUIRE reservations because they do a "gourmet" preselected meal)...don't say I didn't warn you! Because it's a one man band, sometimes food can take a little longer than you'd want...it's ok, we'll get through this. Down a few glasses of wine, another slice of baguette or two, that a girl! It's well worth it! Also, don't be a high maintenance bitch to the waitress...she's French, so she can out do you any day! Just saying...
