My husband has been coming here since he was a kid. We always start out our meal with a large cheese dip and about 4 baskets of chips. The enchiladas are good, the margaritas always look really good, especially a peach virgin margarita!!!!! Definitely start your meal off with a large cheese dip, you won't regret it!!

I noticed the unfavorable service reviews on here, but personally my service was fine. First time here, but not a first-timer with this chain. Its smaller than Howell Mill and Gainesville's location, but they were more accommodating. I came in and sat w/o being seated, which I know is annoying but I was in a hurry and needed to use laptop immediately....Nevertheless, i was greeted several times, recieved quick svc, and was in and out on a Saturday afternoon in less than 40 minutes. They also fixed my special requested tacos perfectly. Same ingredients just lettuce replacing the shell. The waiter was really friendly and made helpful suggestions. And also left me alone when i was clearly busy. They. R. Awesome.

OK - I've been coming here almost weekly since I got to Georgia in 98' ... so I can't complain - otherwise I'd be an idiot. The service is great and quick, which makes it the perfect lunch place. The wait staff works as a team - I never have to ask for another bowl of chips/ salsa or a re-fill. Everyone pitches in. The food is very good - I'm never disappointed, and neither will you!

Great Prices!!! Great Drinks!!! Great Service!!! On my way to Zumba class on the Marietta Square, my friend convienced (not that she had to do alot of convincing, but it makes me feel better to think of it this way-lol) me to skip class and meet up at this spot instead. (Note to self: find a new workout buddy, this isn't working out- :) :) ) We arrived around 7ish, it was crowded but we were seated within 10 minutes. I like the seating and lighting at this location, it's bright and really has that "south of the border" feel. Our waitress was new and had a bunch of sticky notes in every pocket, which I thought was cute....after locating the correct sticky note she read off the drink specials. I ordered a 20oz frozen mango margarita with sugar on the rim and my friend order the frozen Stawberry which was extremely tasty. Our waitress was prompt and very efficient, getting the chips & salsa to the table and our drink orders. I ordered Chicken & Steak tacos and my friend order the chimichanga, the food was good, but I had to order cheese seperately for my tacos, so I was feeling a little disappointed about being charged for that....I mean, cheese should go on tacos right? :) :) :) My other complaint is the parking, it took us atleast 10 mins to park. This is a great place for groups, they also have a full bar if you want to grab a drink after ( or before-lol ) work. Check 'em out!

I go here almost every week for lunch. The food comes out fast and tastes great and if you order the daily special, the prices are wonderful! Though they seem to have a bit of turnover with the servers lately, the staff is excellent. The hostess remembers me by name and the manager remembers me by face. If I get my 'usual' server, she actually remembers my order! You can't go wrong here and I'm a regular for a reason.

This is my all time Mexican restaurant. The steak tacos, steak nachos and La Parilla dip are amazing. The service is great too--they really aim to please. Only thing I would change is the frozen drinks. Too many ice cubes. Perhaps they need a better blender...not sure.

We've tried several locations; this one performs consistently well. Basic Americanized Mexican fare. Good food and good service. I love the Queso Fundido and the poblanos rellenos. Wife and daughter like the burritos and fajitas. Our usual includes the Baja fish tacos Ensenada style. Pretty good margaritas - strength is dependent on who is tending bar.

This place has a slight air of "who cares" from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave. Why was I so sensitive? IDK but it just left me cold. Food was ok, got the table made guacamole and chips and it was good. Carnitas and enchiladas verde were ok too. The food came out as ordered and was hot and tasty. Just never got a warm feeling so I'd say the atmosphere or service culture is weak. The staff just seemed sad to be there, Children of the Corn Tortillas? Once again there are so many Mexican restaurants to pick from I'll just keep trying, or stay home and break out the green chile.

Really fantastic food and service. I had really nice tacos for dinner with my friend. Arianna was our server and she was super friendly and attentive. I got the fish taco, the chicken and the beef taco - for less than ten bucks. The cheese dip was also really good- it had jalapeño flavor in it. One of the best places for Mexican in Marietta. Muy bien!!

We ordered the guacamole table side and it was excellent. Texas fajitas to share were really good although I'd like the meat to be a little more flavorful. Jose our server was excellent. The "h" Fresca margarita was the best!!!!! All in all a fabulous dinner!'

This is La Parrilla number one. Their first location. I like how they have stayed here despite it not being as fancy as their newer ones. This has to be the only property in the Square area not owned by the Goldsteins. Solid Mexican gringo food. Clean. Snooty Colombian servers. But good. These people know how to make money.

I must say this is perhaps one of my best experiences in a mexican restaurant. The attention was super. The food was mouth watering and the atmosphere felt like I was in mexico. You gotta try this place. It will be an unforgettable experience.

Very cheap when it comes to food, my family of six can come and spend only $60, including the three house Chardonnays my mother always gets. The cheese dip is to die for, and I'm serious. It's the best damn queso I've ever had. The don't charge for chips, which is very nice, and the atmosphere is very lively and the service is fantastic. The only reason I gave it four out of five is because the food is a bit lacking. It's very typical, but it's also very cheap and they have good margaritas. Wholeheartedly recommend for the whole family. :)

My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night around 730pm. To begin with, there was NO WHERE to park. Their lot is very small and we had to park across the street. Once inside we were informed they had ab 15/20minute wait so we settled in. One we got to our table and ordered drinks and food, i see why they were so packed. The food was amazing. I ordered a ultimate margarita as well as chilaquiles and it was delicious. Delicious. I loved the prices and the ambiance. I'll definitely be back soon.

We felt we were being pushed out the door by our waiter. We'd just been seated and had received our chips and salsa when he asked about beverages, appetizers AND entrees all at the same time. When we explained that we'd like to enjoy our appetizer while mulling over the menu, he gave us a frown. Five minutes after serving our appetizer, he was back wanting our entree orders. His offer of refills on my water and my husband's iced tea came with the bill, and he stood at the table while my husband perused the bill and got out a credit card. So much for the service, now for the food: Salsa, guac and beans were good. Pico had spent the night in the cilantro patch and had brought too many friends to the table, overwhelming the rest of the good ingredients. Hubby's dish was fair, certainly not worth craving, but still ok. The poblanos chiles rellenos, however, were inedible. The skin on the peppers had not been removed, the cheese had begun to set up and the brisket was barely discernable. I'm not even sure the peppers were poblanos - they weren't the right shape and they had absolutely no heat. In short, the entree was incorrectly prepared and served, not exactly cold, but darn close to it. On a more positive note, the band was a whole lot of fun and musically adept and we thoroughly enjoyed their playing. The crowd was having a ball and was good to be around. A little noisy, but not to the point it was intrusive to our evening out. While we waiting for our card and receipt to come back - which took a really long time, despite his earlier behavior - my husband asked if I wanted to try La Parrilla again. Nope!

We were in search of a new favorite Mexican restaurant since the one we had been frequenting suddenly let us down. This place has become the one for us for now! Service is quick and the queso is yummy. They have your usual menu items and the items come out at the appopriate temperature (which is what we have been missing at other Mexican restaurants). The margaritas are good too.

I ate here for the first time today at lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were quickly seated. The service was rather good, as they quickly removed the dishes we finished and kept our water glass filled. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa had a little bite to it. I ordered the Tacos La Tinga. I loved it. Our food arrive quickly, it was hot and full of favor.. I will return to dine here for sure!

My SO and I visited La Parilla for lunch last Saturday, and were pleased from start to finish! The salsa was flavorful, and the chips were hot and fresh. We ordered the tableside guacamole which was also delicious, and it was prepared by our server, so we didn't need to worry about tipping a separate person to avoid feeling like stiffs. Speaking of the service, it was prompt and friendly. Our drinks were quickly refilled anytime they reached the halfway mark. For entrees, my SO ordered the pollo con las rajas, and definitely enjoyed it, although it was a significantly smaller portion than my enchiladas verdes. Said enchiladas were the 2nd-best version of the dish that I've ever had anywhere; I was very happy! We enjoyed the meal so much that we even decided to order dessert, which is a rarity for us. We got the brownie, which comes out warm, topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel syrup, and a ton of whipped cream. The whipped cream was the spray-can variety, so we just scooped it off to the side, but the brownie was rich and much enjoyed with the ice cream. Their parking lot is a little small, and I could see it being difficult to find a spot on a Friday night. The restaurant also backs RIGHT up to the train tracks, which makes for a funny "jump out of your seat" moment when a server goes out the back door for a smoke break right as the train's going by with its horn blaring. The price was also very reasonable for all the food we ordered - one starter, one dessert, two entrees and one soda for just over $35 before tip. Overall, we loved it, and will definitely be back!

You can't go wrong with the food at this place. They have a band that plays for you at your table. The meals are not too expensive. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the service is average. It's nothing out of the norm but nonetheless a good experience. I def recommend this spot for authentic mex food and a good time. Be careful what times you go though as they can fill up quick but the wait times are never too bad.

This used to be my favorite Mexican place, but now it's just your run of the mill Mexican. Apparently they have switched ownership, as when I went in, I was greeted by a new menu. I used to love the chips and dip, they were always fresh and thin and crispy, and the dip equally tasty, but what we got on my last trip was just so-so. I asked if they could do my favorite item which I used to order, and they said I could order something else with a bunch of extras (and obviously a much higher price tag). So I just went with the Carne Asada instead. It was ok. I used to look forward to visiting this place, so unless they go back to the old menu and cooking, I guess it's time to find a new one.

disappointed. yes, this was one of my go to mex places, but sadly had a disappointing meal last night. tacos asada (which i have ordered many timesin the past) consisted of 3 folded over and small flour tortillas with about 2 tablespoons of meat each. it used to be comprised of 3 hefty rolled flour tortillas with enough for today, tomorrow and maybe the next day. I can see cutting the portion back a bit...but this? Wife's salad was anemic with no variety of contents. menu is new..looks like La Parilla has gone into franchise mediocre mode. drinks and table side prepared guacamole were fine. service always good. parking is sparse.

Good food and good service. They seemed a bit understaffed but our server was attentitive. Our drinks were kept full and they brought us chips as needed. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The parking lot is small and during peak hours you may not find a space. My taco Loco was delicious and came out exactly how I asked for it. The restaurant manager came around 3 or 4 times to make sure everything was okay. Maybe a bit excessive but I suppose better too much than too little. We'll be back.

Um. So what's with the multiple entries for the La Parilla's at the same addresses. There's like 80 different ones for like 5 restaurants - I'm exaggerating - but it does need some clean-up. Much like the restaurant. Bah-dum-dum! Any how - I'll give the S Marietta Pkwy the same review I gave the Dallas Hwy location: La Parilla has several locations and I think I some point in my life I've been dragged to every - single - one - of them. That said - I pretty much hate everything on the menu except the fish tacos. Those friggin fish tacos. Not the regular ones. The ones with the fried tilapia, mexican coleslaw and peppers. Yum. I always seem to get a bad server - one that can't speak English, or one that can speak English but is either mad at her boyfriend or mad that she has to work this weekend, or - and this one's my favorite - one that seems like he's still in high-school - with bad skin and afro or emo haircut and clunky, funky glasses - and you just know he's cracking up the kitchen staff, doing "funny" and obscene things with my tacos before he brings 'em out. And the parking at this location is horrible. They are near the square and parking lot is teeny-tiny. The only thing that I can add about this location is that on two separate occasions, the amount debited from my checking account was not the same as the amount I signed for. Each time, my bank has taken care of it - but it was still a hassle. (Of course I tried calling the manager of that particular location first but it was like talking to a brick wall. A brick wall that spoke little to no English.) Any way - I encourage patrons to use cash. I had the same problem with the Dallas Hwy location one time - but the manager took care of it in a timely fashion.

A safe choice for Mexican food. The staff is very attentive and always sweet, their house guac is made in front of you and delicious (although I would ask to make it a bit more spicy), and the food is decent. Their large margaritas are....potent. If you're looking for something high end, this definitely isn't your place, but it gets the job done if you want some decent food at a good price. side-note: I'm new to the area and apparently La Parrilla is a chain, but I've only been to this location.

I love this place! The food is very americanized, but it's still awesome nonetheless. The staff is just as awesome. The cheese sauce is pretty good, and I have yet to have a dish there that I did not like (although the enchiladas aren't the best I've ever had). The chile relleno is nom nom, and the fish tacos were pretty good too! I have a horrible problem with nachos and thus have had their nachos like 5 times. They are awesome! The great thing is that the staff is super nice and seem to work very well together. They quickly recognized me as a regular and are very friendly. Love going there :)

All time favorite Mexican restaurant, I keep going back, for the awesome bean dip, the aguas frescas, and well the food of course! Every time I'm in the area, I come here because I frigging love their steak fajita quesadilla. Everything about it works, especially the delicious, always perfectly cooked and seasoned steak. It's the best quesadilla I've ever had. I love it. They also make a mean margarita here that balances flavor and alcohol content. The chips and salsa are good (the chips often need more salt, but the salsa is really tasty and has a little heat), and the queso dip is good too. The service is for the most part very friendly. Negatives: the wait is often really long, and there's not a good waiting area. The restaurant is usually very crowded, and the noise level can be a little prohibitive to conversation. It ain't a fancy Mexican restaurant, but for me, no trip to Marietta is complete without a stop here.

I like this place a lot. Very good Mexican food in Marietta. Yes, it is a chain, but the restaurant make up and menu is constantly changing, which is always a good sign. My family and I have had a lot of items and you can't go wrong with any of them. La Parrilla is very consistent, always tasty, and offers great portion sizes.

Came here for a late night meal since my roommate was craving her favorite queso. We ordered a large queso with thin tortilla chips -- very yummy. I ordered the Steak La Parilla which came with a huge side salad, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I only had a few bites of the steak but it wasn't too flavorful or tender even though I had ordered it rare. The mushrooms were also very dry. Overall, the food was okay. But the queso was indeed very delicious! Would come back if in the area to give it another try!

My daughter and I are in town for one night (swim meet) and booked on hotwire (Hilton great deal). We tried the Hilton's Pub - awful, awful, awful. My daughter's milk, she's 11, actually came in carton... Enough about that. La Parrilla was 3 minutes away so I got it to go. Their margarita was awesome! The food is also awesome!! Above all, the service - hostesses, bartenders were welcoming and knowledgeable. We will back when we travel.

La Parilla is a great place to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner, but overall, it's nothing special. I usually order the Taco Loco, which is basically a salad served in a bowl-shaped taco shell. The queso also known as "crack dip" amongst my friends and I is highly addictive. I have always received decent service at this La Parilla. Parking can sometimes be a problem if you go during peak hours, but you can usually park in the Walgreens lot next door.

Okay...I've probably been to this La Parrilla 25 times now and it's high time that I finally write a review. This is our default Mexican place near our house for a number of reasons: #1. It's very reasonably priced. #2. It's consistent. #3. It's close. Those are probably the main reasons that I only give this place a 3 is that it's decent, not terrible, but not great either. As I'm sure anyone that's bothering to read reviews of Mexican places know that they truly are a dime a dozen here in the Metro. That being said, here's what I usually like to get and you can take it for what it's worth. I like to order things a la carte here, b/c my ideal combo doesn't exist virtually at any Mexican restaurant that I've been to, so I find it easier just to order that way and you get exactly what you want. Usually I'll get a pork tamale (too difficult to make at home), a chicken enchilada with green sauce, and then if I'm hungry enough a beef enchilada with red sauce. What's great about this is that they'll each come on their own plate and it's super hot, which incidentally, is how Mexican food should be experienced. Oh and on an occasion, I'll get the small order of cheese dip with jalapenos. The chips and salsa are decent. Not particularly awesome, but if you're hungry you'll easily scarf down a basket even before your meal arrives. The drinks / beer prices fluctuate greatly depending on the day of the week. There usually aren't specials Fri. - Sat. (who would have thought!?), but they have some great unspoken deals during the week. Big tip...pitchers of Dos Equis for $4.99 on Wednesdays. Maybe that was a freak one-time occurrence, but that is an awesome price! Generally speaking, you can get seated pretty quickly here if you don't come at the peak hours (think 5:30 - 8pm Fri. - Sun.), but it's usually fairly busy as a whole for lunch and off-peak dinner times. The service is about what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Hostess seats you, someone else brings you chips and salsa, you get a server, and then usually someone different removes your plates. As a whole, La Parrilla is nothing too exciting, but the quality of the food and service is generally consistent and fairly inexpensive. Although it's not my favorite place in ATL, it'll do for where we're at.

Ok folks so I have been to the place a few times and I'll tell u how good the food is. I'm writing the review like 8 mths later because I wasn't on yelp then and just starting looking for good Mexican food in FL. Yeah I'm from south FL and very hard to find comparative to GA. I still remember the queso dip with the beef in it, in a word "immaculate". Had a few different orders from this place always a good look. Try the strawberry margarita we usually get the pitcher. Now to the main event. If u like skirt steak & shrimp do yourself a favor. Try the Veracruz steak and shrimp but important note have the waiter change the steak from ribeye to the skirt steak. I get mine medium well and it will CHANGE your life, Legend................DARY!!! Think I'm kidding challenge me! I mean I'm salivating right now just thinking about it. I wish I could teleport right now to order it. But everything else(ie burritos tacos enchiladas have always been more than solid). I've always been good at this location can't speak about other locations but this one is OFFICIAL! Once again if you have the Veracruz the way I said it, "Your Welcome".

The food was decent, the margarita was absurdly sweet. The service was terrible. Initially it seemed good, but it took 30 minutes to get a second margarita, and the waitress seemed to be avoiding us. The kicker was her giving the wrong change (shortchanging) and disappearing. Would never go back.

This is good cheap Mexican food. La Parilla isn't trying to be fancy or cook gourmet Mexican food; they're excelling at serving good food at a great price. The salsa and cheese dip were amazing. The chips were thin and crispy...perfection! We split the Texas fajita, which was fantastic. We were able to order the steak medium rare (and it came out that way). The shrimp was delicious. Our bill was under $20 and we were stuffed. Our server could have been a little more attentive, as he forgot a couple of things we asked for, but he was also taking care of five tables. No complaints here.

I was hanging out around Marietta Square with some friends and they wanted to go eat here. They are regulars. I'd been to a location somewhere else a long time ago and it was fine so figured this would be ok too. Service- Even though there were a lot of us (7 adults) and the place was packed, we were seated fairly quickly. 10 minutes is not a bad wait at all at peak time. We always had refills and they came around a lot to check on us. Salsa- TERRIBLE. Looked like watered down tomato sauce. Thin, watery with not a speck of anything in it. I like to have salsa that at least has a few chunks. Chips were meh. Queso- It tasted fine but was nothing to write home about. Entree- I got fajita nachos which is my standard meal when I go somewhere that is going to be serving really americanized mexican food. It's really hard to mess them up. They were pretty good. Price- really reasonable. I might even consider it cheap based on what I ordered. Overall- I'd here again if someone I was with wanted to, but I would never pick to go here myself.

Food was good, the service a little pushy, but not over the top. Wide menu, lots of choices other than the usual mexi-by-the-number. We'll be back to explore the menu. Margarita's were a bit pricier than I'd like.

I have eaten here multiple times. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the downtown Marietta vicinity. There are others, but they aren't as fresh as La Parilla. The fajitas are wonderful, the chips are plentiful, and the beverages are great. You may find yourself asking why I would give my favorite restaurant in an area only 4 stars: Parking. If you come at lunch time for their great specials, the lot is almost always full. You almost have to shank somebody for a parking spot or park at CVS or the abandoned Asian restaurant next door.

The other day I was on my way to a job and passed by this establishment. I decided that as wise as I am, I better go to battle with a full stomach. My client requested "death by fire" which in my opinion is not elegant but what do I care; knife, sword or fire the outcome is always the same but I digress; anyway, the image of the target nice and toasty made me think of a burrito so I stopped by La Parrilla to see the offerings for grilled chicken burritos. I was quickly seated and chips and salsa were placed on the table right away. The salsa was good but the chips were too thin. Ordered some cheese dip, nice and creamy but since the chips were thin they started to break after the dip sat there for a minute. For dinner I had a grilled chicken burrito which comes with refried beans, Mexican rice and the usual salad topped with pico de gallo. I meditated while waiting on my meal. The chicken was nicely grilled; once again I thought of my target and wondered if he was thinking of chicken burritos. All things considered it was a good meal fit for assassins; my only gripe was that they served too much of the beans which can be deadly for me when out on a "death by fire" mission. The staff was friendly and attentive and knows when to leave you alone so I spared their lives... this time; can't say the same for the target though. out! *poof*

I'm not really into visiting franchise places, as we like to visit the hole-in-the-wall dive places, but since we live right around the corner from here, my wife and I decided to try it out and ate here not too long ago. The food is standard Mexican with no bells or whistles to speak of. The only downer worth mentioning were the chips The chips are a vital piece of the Mexican experience and I was disappointed with them, They are very thin chips - every time we dunked a chip into the salsa or queso dip, it broke and we had to use another chip to scoop it out. Now if we were kids, the repetitiveness would be fun, but not for adults, sorry. Parking is horrible as you have to cross the traffic from the square, so good luck getting in/out!!

This is my family's "go to" Mexican restaurant. We went recently on a Thursday night and it was great. The food was excellent! Spot on! Although I was surprised on how tiny the place was (this because I'm used to the one in McDonough, which is huge!) The service was fast and the food was very fresh!

This is our regular Mexican food hangout. It's not the best but it is consistent and fresh. For the price I feel it's justifiable, but of course I'd say that as we eat there about once a week or so. Service is good, prices are acceptable, portions are a bit small (Chimichanga for example). The ChimiRica is very good and my wife generally orders spinach enchiladas, which she says are very good. The 32 oz frozen margarita is pretty good too!

I love this restaurant. Very tasty, great service and very fast. And one day our truck needed the battery jumped off and the manager did it. The nachos and enchiladas are the best.

We went here last night, after 9PM. I wasn't starving, but wanted a little something before going to bed. Since Dude works in this area, he seems to frequent it on his lunchbreaks. When we got there, it was obviously close to closing time, 9:20ish, but we were welcolmed & seated. There was quite a crowd in the restaurant for it to be so late. Chips were presented to us right away with 2 sauces (nothing was mentioned to explain that one was spicier than the other). Our drinks and appetizer was presented right away. Dude ordered the queso dip that has shrimp, steak and chicken in it. They give you some flour tortillas should you want to make a taco, I used the chips that were already on the table. Once I saw how much was in the queso dip, I opted to not order anything else. I appreciated it for its simplicity. I don't eat spicy food, I was pleased that it was simply cheese melted with some meat in it. Had I desired spice, they had a pico sauce on the side to mix in. He ordered some sort of chimichanga (I really don't know WHAT he got), but he wasn't really impressed. He said that it was pretty salty. They have the cutes little tortilla cups to put the sauce, sour cream or pico de gallo in that are edible tortillas. They didn't have black or pinto beans, only refried. They didn't have plain old rice, they only had something like fried rice. Would I go back, sure, for the queso. I think that I'd rather go to Don Pablo's on a Tuesday for all you can eat taco night instead for anything else, though.

I've never eaten here and didn't realize this was a chain restaurant. My friend is Mexican and she likes this place and I thought that's got to be a good sign. This place gets a +1 for unlimited chips and dips, but I think most Mexican restaurants offer that now. The restaurant is clean, kind of tight on space and kind of dimly lit. boo. It was pretty packed for lunch, but surprisingly, there was no wait when we came, which was a little past noon. There's plenty of servers and they're pretty attentive and friendly, so we didn't really have a problem when our waitress wasn't around. I had no idea what I wanted. I didn't feel like the 4.99 lunch special which, for the day ( Tuesday), was Mexican beans, Mexican rice, burrito, and a soda (?). I instead got chicken ranchero ( chicken with cheese on top, rice with beans, slice of tomato, dab of sour cream, and a pinch of lettuce). The portions were pretty good, by pretty good, I mean larger than what we should be consuming, but standard size for restaurants these days. I would say the food is good, no complaints there. Although I would have liked more than one slice of tomato. Overall, I would come back and try other menu items. I am not a fan of the prices here for lunch because it's around 8-10. It's kind of pricey for me, but it was a nice treat. Parking lot is very narrow, but there's more parking in the back.

So we walk in, we see a few Mariachi's walking out. We just missed the show. It's Sunday night, 9:30-ish. On the way to being seated we see that there are some people passed out at the table behind us. So we had already discussed what we were ordering on the way there... we were very hungry and ready to fill the void. The service was pretty good, so it didn't take long to get drinks and chips n salsa. That was a good way to start it. As we were ordering the food, drunken Rancheros were helping each other out of the booth, free entertainment, right on! We tried the Queso Con Chorizo, uhm... not that great. The regular queso was much better. Then the main course, best fajitas anywhere. Also, you must try the beef brisket, the Chimirica was very, very goooood. This is the best Mexican restaurant there is. I don't care how expensive any of the other ones are. This is better than that.

I don't know about this place. Some work colleagues of mine are lunch regulars here... Now that we are temporarily sans Monterrey's, our sit-down Mexican options are limited (who'd figure given that nearby Windy Hill Rd / Atlanta Rd is like Little Tijuana). So, this is one of the few we got. Everything here is OK; not A-OK as in a 3-star-review. More like a 2 star review as in it is consistent, inexpensive, and doesn't make me sick but not very flavorful. On my lunch visits, service has been fast and efficient and friendly. The free chips are pretty decent but the salsa is weak. There are some pretty inexpensive lunch specials and you can be in and out pretty quick. Normally the burritos and tacos are pretty decent but nothing to go out of the way for. On my most recent visit for dinner, I was on the way home passing La Parrilla and very hungry. I stopped in and ordered the La Parrilla Burrito which was a huge grilled chicken burrito. Maybe I should have known better but "grilled chicken" means "very bland chicken"... like a grilled chicken sandwich... except it was wrapped in a tortilla... and covered in queso (thank god for the decent queso). It was rather disappointing since I had my hopes on a flavorful Mexican meal out. The upside of my dinner was my 32 oz Dos Equis. Man! It was as big as my head. I thought I was back at Oktoberfest hoisting that big stein... um, drinking Mexican beer... in a Mexican-decorated tent.

Have eaten here multiple times when visiting my parents, and have yet to have food that hasn't been amazing. The sangria is only second best to Dominick's in Ann Arbor, and the food and service are perfection. Marietta itself is a unique place in Georgia, and La Parilla restaurant is not to be missed!

This ended up being my fall back position after running from Rancho Grande :) This place ended up being more of a generic type of Mexican joint. Not that, that's a bad thin sometimes. The place was smaller than most of your other places with painted on the tiles of the dropped ceiling. I had the enchiladas with a beef taco and ice tea. Other than the service being a bit slow and the tiny parking lot it was A-OK

The food is pretty typical for a mexican restaurant. They have a nice small area to sit outside. I always sit out there just because is seems loud inside. Service is fine. Typical pricing. They dont ever have specials on the weekends.

So once I got over the food poisoning for Los Reyes, I was still craving tex-mex. I live really close to this La Parrilla ,so I gave it a shot. The salsa is ok, pretty thin. But tasty. When the chips are warm and fresh, I will down an entire basket. So I did. And thank goodness, otherwise I would left hungry. The cheese dip is standard tub o Queso, which I like. I have tried several dishes, aside from the numbered specials, and none are stand outs. The beans are super lardy. The Rice is cooked to death and ubber starchy. The Steak and Chicken have a weird faux smoke flavor to them. I am not a fan. Stick with the veggie or cheese items. Any mexi joint serving burgers is a little odd to me. "No tongue but we got burgers for your picky little ankle biters" phooey. They menu says fresh fruit margaritas. Uh sorry no. I tried several, all syrupy sweet and unnaturally colored. fruita fresca ?, no bueno. This place is the equivalent of Applebarf's or Ruby Spewsdays. If you like your tex-mex by the numbers then iz good. Otherwise keep moving ,nothing to see here.

So, my aunt and I went here for lunch! It was great....we truly enjoyed...the service was good, the bathroom was spotless, and the price was uber reasonable. I had guca dip which was okay not spicy enough for me!! My aunt had the cheese dip..it was excellent...I dont know what type of cheese it was but very good, nicely melted and warm! My main dish was the Veggie Fajita,......WONDERFUL...spinach, tomato, oniions, mushrooms..very tasty! My side of rice, beans, sour cream, guca was also FAB!!! I would most definitely good back and again and would recommed to other yelpers!!!

This is a totally acceptable, pretty standard Atlanta area Mexican restaurant. They have margaritas and beer, queso dip, combo plates, chips and salsa - everything you'd expect. The food was good but nothing too remarkable; it was satisfying and tasty, and I definitely would return, but it's nothing I would gush about or highly recommend. The cheese dip was a little thick and not uniformly melted but my veggie combo #6 hit the spot. It was a bean burrito, cheese enchilada and rice. I actually really did like the rice because it had corn and stuff in it. The service was fast, very attentive and extremely pleasant. The price was also very reasonable. I would go again but I might not actively seek it out.

All time favorite Mexican restaurant, I keep going back, for the awesome bean dip, the aguas frescas, and well the food of course! My husband has been coming here since he was a kid. We always start out our meal with a large cheese dip and about 4 baskets of chips.

Dumpy, loaded with white suburban folks, food doesn't taste fresh, no parking expensive for what you get. There are so many better Mexican places.

I took my mom out for diner and took her here because she loves Mexican food. Great food and really great service, and it was really cheap. In all it was a great place.

I've been eating at the downtown marietta location for years and I've only had one bad experience. They've remoded the place. The music is awesome and the staff is always nice. Thx Tito for letting me have my drink in a styrofoam cup...lol

Delicious Mexican food and great customer service. Ordered a meal not listed on menu and waitress obliged with no hesitation. My new favorite Mexican joint.

Service was very sloooooooow! 2 hours, excuses, excuses.... No pricing on drinks. Don't think they peeled the pepper on my chili relleno..tough to chew.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
