I will start by saying that I actually like Einsteins as a chain. I've been to several that have great service like the Powers Ferry location for example. I visited this location several times in the past year. Each time the service has been slow and error prone. Often the line to talk to someone about mistakes is longer than the line to order (I'm sure you know what the lines are like on a Sunday morning in Cobb). If you do bring up a problem, they won't give you a hard time about it . The employees don't care enough to even check a receipt or investigate. They have the cold dead eyes of a teenager working in fast food. I can honestly say that the only redeeming quality about this location is the great Caribou that is attached. There are several other breakfast options in this shopping center that I'd suggest instead. Update: Because I can't resist the Caribou that is attached, I returned today. The service was completely different. The food was prepared fast and correctly. They were super friendly as well. This was at 8 am on a weekday. I still won't be back on weekend any time soon. I bumped them up a star.

How hard is it to toast a bagel... What is the purpose of toasting the outside of a bagel. When I ask for my bagel toasted, I would like the inside to be toasted instead of charring the outside of the bagel such as my asiago bagel I couldn't finish. Anyway the service was fine at this location, I was in and out quickly and back into morning traffic. But besides not toasting my bagels correctly, I was extremely upset my honey whole wheat bagel ended up tasting like an onion/everything bagel... I was chomping away at it then all of a sudden the overwhelming taste of onions hit me. I ended up spitting out that bite and throwing away the rest of my bagel. I have no idea how it ended up tasting like onions, but strong flavored bagels need to be kept away from sweet/plain bagels... whether during baking or slicing. I don't get to stop for bagels very often in the morning, but the next time I do, I hope for a better experience.

If it could be lower it would be. Placed an order for Monday 5:45 AM pick up. Got there and sign on door reads sorry coffee machines broken no coffee. Ok I can find 2 boxes of coffee on the way in somewhere else. "Do you have my bagels?" I ask "yes but we only have light cream cheese not the ones you ordered". She says. The sad part no apology and no phone call. This place is a terrible only made worse by an uncaring staff.

Hadn't been in here in a couple years, now I remember why. Not a train-wreck, but also not top-shelf. The staff hops as fast as they can, but just do not have enough manpower in the AM rush. That is a management decision that says it is OK to have folks jumping back and forth between the register and food prep (always with gloves, no issue there) instead of having some efficient division of labor. It also means that the milk pitchers go empty without anyone tasked specifically to the dining and beverage area. And to compound problems, it is only of those tiny, tiny beverage areas with everything smushed together creating serious back-ups with just a couple people. On the plus side, the bacon egg and cheese everything bagel was really good and cooked properly -- which is toasted and not nuked. Their dark roast coffee is also pretty decent for a basic cup, but you seriously overpay as the "bottomless" cup is meaningless on your takeout order. As a result $7+ out the door seems really high for a bagel sammich and a medium coffee and with about twice as much time spent as need be.

It's really hard to get two honey whole wheat bagels in a bag. I only got one and something else that I don't even know the name of. Why why why?? 6 bucks for two bagels and one I didn't even want/like.

As far as I know, it's the only place to get a Lox bagel, which is my wife's favorite and she races about it. That's all fine and good but the service is barely lackluster. Floors are a mess and no one was clearing the table when we came in. The place wasn't packed and two employees were texting on their cell phones. Maybe I was expecting better service. They also seem to be out of most of the stuff on the menu.

Friendly, interested and helpful service, fresh bakery and tasty drinks. I have been coming here for a few months (and notice when places to eat are sloppy), and see no issues with cleanliness. I am surprised at the photos showing how this place looked just over a year ago. I would come here more often if they had a drive-through.

Just picked up a dozen bagels. They wouldn't toast and add cream cheese without charging me extra. This is new! Used to get good service, I guess no longer. Also put garlic in the box without placing it in a separate bag and didn't offer to slice! Really, in east Cobb! Learn some better service people

I had an unpleasant experience recently at this location. I was in the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours studying for an exam. I had ordered food and coffee, so I was a paying customer. The employees proceeded to shut off the wi-fi 45 minutes before closing, and turn down the heat, which I suspect was a tactic for me to leave the building so they could close up early. I ended up leaving 30 minutes before this store closed because it was a very uncomfortable environment to be in. I went down the road to the Starbucks, where I experienced a comfortable, warm, and study prone environment. I would suggest this store emphasize that although only one customer is in the store, they are still a customer.

I went for the first time after hearing such good things about this place. My experience was a bad one. The food was good but the didn't put cream cheese on my bagel that they were supposed to. Cleanliness was an issue and I was waiting for 15 minutes before I could order and I was first in line.

I love Einstein's, and this location is my favorite. Really, really good bagels and fresh coffee. Excellent service, really nice people working there, always willing to help and try and fix it if my asiago bagel isn't toasted right or not hot enough. They have a wide variety of bagels, so I have more choices here than at some other Einstein's. But the main selling point for me is that the service is so enthusiastic & friendly -- in the past, maybe not, but excellent now. I really recommend it.

The music is too loud and it felt really cold inside but otherwise nice, clean, and good service. My bagel sandwich was much better than I thought.

I've visited this Einstein's a few times and they're really slow and distracted. When the food arrived it was great, but the staff could pay a bit more attention to their tasks at hand. The parking is in short supply.

Let me preface this by saying, I love Einstein's in general. They have a great selection of bagels, including Sundried Tomato - which is the sole reason I go there (as opposed to the sandwiches, soups and weird hotdog roll things, that I have no experience with). We go for convenience and it just seems like the "brainless" choice when we "just want a bagel" on a weekend morning because it's around the corner. However, I have never been super impressed by the service.. It's not horrible service by any means.. but the staff usually just seems pretty un-enthused, and often I've felt like they are more interested in chatting than working. Either they need a bigger work space, or should remove the unproductive people. I don't feel like the bagel process is speedy or exceptional considering there are usually people bouncing off each other like bumper cars back there. Also, I have had bagel-preparing quality issues. It sometimes seems cold/chewy even though I asked for it toasted. Sometimes I just feel it's prepared sloppily. ...Even beyond the bagel itself... like today where the guy handed me our bagel baskets stacked on top of each other - Let me elaborate; There was a basket on top of my bagel. The bottom of a basket most likely touched the top of my bagel. I'm not afraid of dirt and it looked okay.. so I ate it.. BUT that's unprofessional and unnecessary. Maybe I'm being unfair.. maybe they just turn lax at the hour I'm there. Maybe it's after their rush (between 10-12, I guess we usually go). As far as price goes, we paid just under $8 today for a soda, tea, and two bagels (one with butter, one with plain cream cheese.) Also, today, the guy who rung us up at the register had a horrible, messy hairstyle that was not netted or pulled back. I didn't witness him preparing any food.. BUT it's still kind of a turn-off when you're about to eat. In summary.. the bagels can be great but are mostly just acceptable. The service lacks occasionally - consistently not great. At any rate, the food is still edible and satisfying, although I yearn for more. Maybe I'm just a bagel snob (I sincerely love my carbs). I will continue to visit this Einstein's when I'm in the area, but I will also try Bagelicious around the corner.

This Einsteins is very good. Great bagels, yummy add-ons, good service, well stocked, and pretty clean. This location is always hopping. If you see a table, jump on it. Parking, ditto. The only downside is the lack of a drive thru. It would be nice if they could find a way to work out a deal with the Caribou they're connected to so they could provide that service.
