First off I want to say I have been eating here my whole life. I tried contacting this restaurant on facebook and they said they would contact me, but never did. I cannot forget about this experience! I will not be returning to this location again. I took my niece, my nephew and husband out for my niece's birthday lunch. She ordered the soft taco and rice. When it came back out it was a hard taco. The waiter instantly got an attitude even though he was not the one who took our order. He said he would go see what the ticket said. I said it does not matter what the ticket says, that's what she ordered. He came back with a soft taco and very rudely grabbed the taco off her plate with his dirty hands, touching everything on the plate and threw down the soft taco. I was shocked and disgusted. He then looked at me with a angry look and said "okay?" I just stared at him with my mouth wide open in disbelief. He left and I heard him go back to the kitchen and mention something about a taco in Spanish and everyone laughed. I was hoping to talk to the owner, but he was gone. I can remember having a problem with this same guy a year ago. When my husband asked for no beans and it came out wrong I remembered we had to argue with him. We are not people that like confrontation or send our food back. Every knows us at the other location. I had to ask him to refill my drink more than once, he made me feel so grossed out, I didn't drink my tea because I was afraid he did something to it. You shouldn't feel that way when you go out to eat! He had short black hair almost looks shaved. I'm sure I am not the only one that has ever had a problem with him. Like I said I will not be returning unless I he is no longer employed there. By now, time has passed and I guarantee I would had been there at least once. The last time I wanted Mexican food, we actually drove out of way to go to the square just to avoid this place. The way we were treated was not right!

I just had one of their hand made margarita's to wash down my Chile Poblano. Perfect blend of cheese and giant poblano pepper, a new favorite. I normally get the vegetarian enchiladas- stuffed with squash, zucchini and broccoli and topped with salsa verde. Now I have 2 meals I can't live without. FYI - if you ever have a craving for chicken chicken soup or have sick loved one. My friends swear by it. Tastes amazing and heals you quick. The cheese dip is addictive, beware! You will be back for more. I prefer the Mexican guacamole over the regular green stuff.

Really good menu selection, service, and of course drinks. Finally tried this place out last week and was not disappointed! We'll definitely be back. Husband loves the habanero salsa you can get with your chips (upon request!)

Fantastic food, great drinks, great prices, great family atmosphere and great family that owns it. The chimichangas are the best ever! The place could use some serious updating though.

Born and raised in Marietta, the only reason I'm not giving Cazadores 5 stars is because I'm afraid I might have some kind of nostalgia bias. I have been coming here since I was a little little girl. My parents used to come for the taco salad and a Carona, but I only remember how much I LOVED the cheese. I always ordered two beef tacos with extra cheese. The owners (Jesus and Toni) are two brothers. The restaurant has a great family vibe that you can't help but feel when they greet all regulars by first name. To date, I have probably tried everything on the menu at least once and I have never been disappointed. Great margaritas already, but if you want something really special... ask Jesus to make you a margarita with Agave nectar. YUM! I always said that I must be their biggest fan, but time and time again I run into locals to the area that say they wouldn't go anywhere else. Cazadores is hands down the best Mexican food experience in Marietta.

Overall: 2.5 Food: Slightly above average Environment: Clean and fitting, average Service and Staff: TERRIBLE!!! The food here was very good actually. The environment is friendly and inviting as well, it has nice authentic feel to it. The salsa is a little spicy but the taste is spot on! The catch here is the SERVICE!! It was horrid!! My girlfriend and I went on a Saturday evening and they weren't even close to being busy. That being said we waited about 10 minutes before we were asked what we would like to drink. We finally got our water and placed our order. The food arrived in a decent time(10-15 mins), but after that we might as well been dead to them. We did not get refills on water, chips, or even checked on. We finished our food and sat there for 20 mins waiting for our waiter so we could get a box and the check. Finally I got up to hunt down our check and a box only to find two waiters sitting at a booth, one was watching tv and the other was playing games on her cellphone! I didn't make a scene about it, but I will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant. No Bueno!!! If it had not been for the poor service it would have been an excellent dining experience. My opinion is if you're willing to risk getting bad service then go for it because the food was quite good!!

Food is good. Chips, salsa and cheese dip are really good, and the Texas margaritas are the best!

Disappointingly, the food seemed average despite what I'd heard from friends in the area. Very greasy nachos, almost to the point of of being inedible. The cheesesteak was pretty average, but their tacos were really great. Will try again, hopefully it was just an off night.

Food was not anything to brag about, service was okay, but the margaritas were TERRIBLE! I had two small glasses and felt awful the next day! Poison.

Our go-to for a quick, inexpensive takeout meal or to satiate the need for Mexican food. We love their chicken soup, carnitas nachos, tacos al pastor, tacos de carne asada and the super secret roasted habanero salsa.

Any Mexican place can get you stuffed off of pretty good food and margaritas. Those places are three stars. But here's why it's four: salsa is rich, tomatoey, spicy just enough. Not watery. Taste is full palette. They will make whatever pitcher of margarita you want. I was all, "only 100% agave" and they brought over the "expert" to talk about my options. It's wasn't even that much kore to make sure I had the good stuff! Little things: they brought my girlfriend a beef taco instead of chicken. Just when she realized, they proactively brought out a chicken and apologized. They strive to get it right. Shrimp is tailless, chicken and steak is not dry but perfectly grilled. Service is also quick as you'd expect. It's a little weird walking into the front, surrounded by tables eating, while seeing the hostess - but that's the trade off for a place lively and full of customers. Atmosphere is definitely there (for a strip mall.) Recommended.

Faaaaaantaaaaastic. Every Mexican restaurant that I go to, I ALWAYS try their chicken soup first. I might be wrong, but I think that if the chicken soup is good, the rest of it will be delicious. In this case, definitely true. Don't be too put off by the owner's disposition when he takes your order or takes your money - I don't remember his name but he finally came around after the 3rd or 4th visit with a little smile and when he finally met my kids (under 4), he was super and gave them a little treat. We have never ate in the restaurant (only take out at this point), but I'm sure the in-restaurant experience is even better. My husband loves the enchiladas, cheese dip and tacos. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is the chicken part of the chicken soup is not always consistent.... But the broth is always delicious!

We love Cazadores - our original, local Mexican restaurant. The service is always friendly, the salsa good & most of the food quite good as well. Their best dishes IMO are their carnitas, tacos de carne asada & the chicken enchiladas verdes. Skip the shrimp tacos, but everything else I've had there is good & reasonably priced.

  • Luigi L.

This is one of those hole in wall spots with out dated decor on the inside but good food as well...not to mention the Margaritas! Left with a happy belly as well as being a little tipsy...bartender did NOT skimp on the good stuff!

I gots to say, while I'm trying to be "careful" with my star-giving-out-ness, me likey Cazadores. And I'll tell you why. Fast service. Super chicken quesadilla - this may not sound like a big deal, but you'd be shocked, I tell you, at how many places cannot do a quesadillia with ONLY chicken and cheese. No, I don't want onions. Nope, no salsa. NO - I don't want peppers, either! I really meant it - Just. Chicken. And. Cheese. Gracias! Cazadores does it just right - and they have the "fajita" option so you can get grilled not shredded chicken if you prefer (I do). Side items include a totally solid chicken burrito. Chicken, onion-y, tomato-y, cheese-y sauce mix whatever, topped with cheese = yum. Good fish tacos. Strong if not-quite-frozen margaritas. Fajitas worth ordering and sharing if you're in the mood. Good prices and generous servings. Hey, we all know the ATL is not known for its stellar Mexican food so we have to assess our options and pick from the best available - for me, I like certain dishes done the way I want them (check!), good drinks (yep!), friendly service and good prices (double yep!) . . . Anytime I'm up in E. Cobb/Marietta and The Boy/his fam suggest Mexican, I know that Cazadores will fit my bill just right.

Not a fan. The food is not authentic. The service is less than good.

  • Karen C.

I'm a regular - I eat at Cazadores about twice a month. The service is spectacular. They meet me at the door and bring my hot chips and salsa about the time I put down my coat and purse. Once the orders are placed, the food arrives piping hot and very quickly. The portions are what you'd expect at a Georgia Tex-Mex restaurant. The prices are better than most. The food, in my opinion, is much better than the "chain" mexican restaurants. Finally, I love the fact that they make every effort to ensure I'm a highly satisfied customer. For example, I order my margueritas on the rock with VERY little ice. That way I get more to drink and not a lot of left over ice cubes just taking up space in my glass. Cazadores rocks. Keep doing what you do!!

I'm biased, cause I've been going there for 20+ years. Go To Items: Carnitas Nachos Fajitas Nachos Pork Chimichangas THE Cheese Dip (w/jalapenos) Fish Tacos Its a great place... where else are you gonna go for Mexican? Chepe's? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

Our weekly Mexican place. Taco de Carne Asada, Taco de Polo Asada, Tostatas are great. Tomatillo salsa is best here.

  • Emily K.

Service was good however food was not. We ordered the combo Steak/Chicken Fajitas for two. About 6 minutes later, our fajitas were headed to the table. There is no way that all of the meat (especially chicken) and veggies could be done in 6 minutes! The food tasted stale and gave both my husband and I a stomach ache. Really couldn't get over the fly swatters that were hanging by the salsa and silverware station in plain site. Will not go back.

  • Nicholas J.

Very average food. Drinks watered down and service slow. There are better mexican food joints now far away.

Nothing special I had chicken something, wasn't anything memorable. Must have been a bad night for the waiter (and it was slow). he wasn't very friendly. Haven't been back.

I never judge a Mexican place by the Speedy Gonzales or the Special Number 4. If that's all you get, you'll rarely be impressed anywhere. Also, you don't give them a chance to really show off their skills. Look for the stuff that the staff is more likely to eat themselves. Check out the carnitas. If the carnitas come to your table in cubes, they're fresh out of the freezer and will have the personality to match. Pork shoulder is easy enough to cook, so frozen is pretty inexcusable. Cazadores delivers with both the carnitas meal and the lunch carnitas nachos special. Nicely seasoned and accompanied with complementary sides. I've also tried the Mexican stew and was impressed by the full flavors and comfort built into the dish. These are good at lunch and I bet they'd be even better at dinner. I'll be back and working my way past the Numbers.

I like Cazadores food.... I have since I was a kid.. I am pretty sure it has been there for 20 years or so. But it is not as good as it used to be... I have been there a few times and never got served or greeted and walked out.. Not sure what that was about.. But I enjoy the food and go once a month.

I went to Cazadores based on the reviews posted here on Yelp and was not disappointed. This was just what i was looking for...inexpensive, delicious and fast Mexican food. It has all the core requirements for a Mexican place: Good salsa / pico, hot chips, cheap prices. Highlights - Chips and Salsa / Pico - Chicken Fajitas - Shredded pork carnitas (awesome) Lowlights - deer heads on the wall (only if this type of thing bothers you...) Highly recommended!

As a native of Marietta transplanted to Texas for the past 6 years of my life, I have tasted quite a few chimichangas in my life, but none even come close to the chimichangas at Cazadores! The chimichangas here are deep fried, smothered in queso blanco and filled with delicious moist meat. What more could anyone want? My personal favorite is pork chimichanga, but I also enjoy the shredded chicken. Besides the chimichangas, the salsa is always fresh and freely flowing and the waiters are quick and polite. I love this place and even though I live just north of the mother land, none of the restaurants I have been too come anywhere close to matching Cazadores! I am envious of everyone living in Marietta!

The was amazingly.... just like every other Tex Mex restaurant out there. Combo dinners. Lunch No. blah. They even push the envelope with cheese dip, with jalapenos. The place is as stale as it's chips. You could easily hammer a La Parilla sign over the door and no one would notice.

  • Greg C.

I personally think the owners and staff are tired and over it, they just don't care anymore. What could be a good average restaurant has lost its life and energy. I felt like I was imposing on them and the food confirmed it.

my girlfriend grew up eating at cazadores from a young age, and i've been here several times as a result of her occasional nostalgia. it's your typical no-frills, standard menu casual mexican spot, but the food and margaritas are better than average. everything i've tried is great, but their texas fajitas are definitely a standout. cheese dip and salsa are great.. although the salsa tends to vary in taste from night to night (hopefully due to being made fresh), it's always got great flavor. plenty of cilantro and a little heat. frozen margaritas are very good; sour, sweet, and strong. we've tried tons of mexican spots in the marietta/kennesaw area, and this is definitely the best if you're in this part of the suburbs.

  • Nathan G.

The chimichangas are the best I've ever had. Definitely not a dish for a light lunch or dinner but when you're ready to have the best chimi in Atlanta stop here or their Johnson Ferry location and I promise you won't be disappointed. I grew up near caza's and still make the drive into Marietta to get my fix. The pork chimichangas are always amazing... Deep fried and covered in cheese sauce. I like going for lunch since the smaller portion has a single chimi with guacamole salad and rice. If you like chimichangas and haven't been here you're missing out... go there for your next Mexican fix and you will be writing a review too.

I'd classify this as crappy Mexican food. Not very good. Quick service though.

I would advise not to go here. First, there were many stuffed deer heads looking down on you wherever you sit. The menu has little drawings of deer on it, which isn't something that wets my appetite. The food was overpriced for just plain regular Mexican food. The Guacamole dip looked like the paste that comes out of the grocery store version. The food wasn't bad, just okay. Every time the door opened the breeze chilled the restaurant and I had to eat with my coat on. The service was very quick and very nice. We will not return....

Did you ever wonder how many stuffed dear heads you could put on a restaurant's walls? The answer is at Cazadores Mexican restaurant. once you get past the Deer hunting display of Machismo, you will be glad you choose to eat here. Having recently moved to the infamously snobbish East Cobb, my wife and I tried this place on a recommendation. Not scared by "hole-in-the wall" eateries, we dove right in. The chips and salsa were typical and nothing to get excited over. Not yet impressed, we both got the margaritas....hold the phone....sour/sweet and oh so strong....Bingo! Things were off to a good start. a Few "ritas" later and dinner arrived. I had the Enchiladas Verdes. Awesome choice, a virtual flavor explosion in my mouth! My wife had some equally as excellent, I don't remember I was a bit drunk and enjoying my own dish. The prices were right and I made for a cheap date that night. Many return visits have resulted in high satisfaction for us and everyone we bring. Even their stereotypical Speedy-Gonzalas menu items are a step above most Mexican restaurants. Highly recommend this place. Warning, it does pack in on friday nights.

Being from Texas, I really miss good Mexican food and am always looking for good places. It had good reviews on Yelp so I went here. I should have known not to trust a bunch of east coast people rating Mexican food (no offense). This place would be out of business if it was in Texas. The wait staff was really nice and it wasn't like I got food poisoning or anything, the food just didn't taste very good.

I live very close to this restaurant, ( for about a year) I finally went the other day and had an excellent meal. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Not traditional Mexican ( you're never going to find real Mexican food in the states) but very tasty nun the less.

Cazadores has become my family's go-to Mexican Rest. for several reasons. First, great prices. As everyone else's prices are skyrocketing, Cazadores is holding. You can see the business increase over the last couple of years due to the quality and value that so many of us are seeking these days. I always order al a carte and build my own combo platter. It is the same price or less than the combos and I get exactly what I want. Next, the Margaritas rock. They are great. I always get the regular jumbo margarita and it is my fav on a Friday night after a long work week. Finally, my family loves the food!! It is always, hot, delicious, freshly prepared and we are never disappointed. The pico is always great. The cheese dip is awesome. The salsa can fluctuate in hottness. If you don't like a breeze then don't sit in the front room.

Cazadores ('the deer hunter') is my favorite of the local Mexican standards. Though they offer the same dishes that most other suburban Mexican chains do, their versions seem of a higher quality and care than their competitors. They have some of the best cheese dip here: I could keep putting it in my face until I grow big enough to fill the room. I noticed one time that they use vegetable based oil rather than animal lard, which results in a much cleaner, leaner taste for the traditional Mexican dishes. There's a certain art to picking amongst the combination dinners: I almost always get #4, which is two tacos, an enchilada and a load of cheese dip with a corn tortilla. I've never seen anyone else order this, but when I do, I'll known I've met my future wife. Unless it's a man. Then I guess it's just a dude with good taste. What am I talking about? Eat delicious Mexican food at delicious Cazadores.

I love this place. I have been there at least 7 times in last 6 months. It is my Mexican restaurant first choice in the East Marietta area. Salsa: SPICY and mm good CHIPS: average hard corn tortilla Margarita: A+ .. as another review stated: "sour/sweet and oh so strong....Bingo! " I do not like the typical premixed very sweet margarita that most places serve. I like them to have a bite and not too sweet. This was the perfect mix for me. FISH on the Menu: We always get Shrimp Burrito Supreme, and it melts in your mouth. Huge and satisfying. Chicken soft Tacos: They are nicely seasoned, and always yummy and tender. I have gotten the Fish tacos, twice. The first time it was amazing. The second time, for some reason they were greasy and not so good. I was so sad. I mentioned it to the waiter, and they immediately were concerned and did adjust the price (which they did not need to do, i only mentioned it in passing!). I took my elderly mother there when she was ill and they sat us in a table up front since she had trouble walking. I asked if we could move because of the draft (she is always cold) and they were very helpful and put us at a nice quiet table in one of the back rooms. They treated her as if she was one of the family. Since they cared about customer service and and the food is mostly wonderful, I gave them a 5 star. More people should visit this place.

I went here based on Blake's 4 star rating and I am happy to report that Cazadores lived up to the expectations set forth by his review. This place is a pretty nice and comfortably small Mexican restaurant that everyone in Marietta should enjoy on a regular basis. They have a wide variety of Mexican dishes to choose from on their menu. For some reason I never want to venture out into the Mexican dishes that I am not familiar with. So I just ordered the typical two tacos with rice and beans combination. Cazadore's is well aware that there are many vegetarians in the world we live in today, and because of that fact they conveniently offer vegetarian dishes for those individuals who prefer to exclude delicious hunger satisfying meat products from their meal like Nikki : ) I thought about ordering some of the Chili cheese dip, but I decided that I did not want to risk spending the rest of my night enduring physically traumatic stomach pains. Instead I decided to be typical once again and order the regular Mexican cheese dip, which was everything I dreamed it might be. When it was all said and done, or all eaten and done rather, Cazadores instantly became one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, right behind the Pappasito's Cantina , who actually specializes in Tex-Mex, but I don't think I will ever understand why or how there is a difference.

Cazadores Restaurante Mexicano. Been a fan of this establishment since its inception in 1986 when I was only 11 years of age. The Menu's Greatest Hits: Fish Tacos,Chile Colorado,Burritos Tipicos, and side orders of Jalapeno Cheese Dip and Mexican Guacamole Dip

When it was all said and done, or all eaten and done rather, Cazadores instantly became one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, right behind the Pappasito's Cantina , who actually specializes in Tex-Mex, but I don't think I will ever understand why or how there is a difference.

my girlfriend grew up eating at cazadores from a young age, and i've been here several times as a result of her occasional nostalgia. it's your typical no-frills, standard menu casual mexican spot, but the food and margaritas are better than average. everything i've tried is great, but their texas fajitas are definitely a standout. cheese dip and salsa are great.. although the salsa tends to vary in taste from night to night (hopefully due to being made fresh), it's always got great flavor. plenty of cilantro and a little heat. frozen margaritas are very good; sour, sweet, and strong. we've tried tons of mexican spots in the marietta/kennesaw area, and this is definitely the best if you're in this part of the suburbs.

I personally think the owners and staff are tired and over it, they just don't care anymore. What could be a good average restaurant has lost its life and energy. I felt like I was imposing on them and the food confirmed it.

Very average food. Drinks watered down and service slow. There are better mexican food joints now far away.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
