The fried boneless pork chops were crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. The only issue I had was that they were a little too salty for my taste. The brussel sprouts were yummy. The Mac and cheese is lackluster. It tastes like the flour wasn't cooked enough (which they probably used to thicken the sauce.) I think I would have enjoyed my meal more had I ordered the green beans instead of the Mac and cheese. (The green beans looked fantastic based on other people's plates.)

Wow. This place rocks. Haven't found a dish I didn't like yet. I am now definitely a regular.

Delicious! I stopped in for lunch after trading the other reviews. I had the baked lemon chicken, sautéed green beans, and Mac n cheese. It was clearly homemade and everything tastes really good! This will be a great place to stop in for dinner to go!! I'll be back soon and tell others!

Good, hearty fare that didn't quite knock our socks off. If you think sit-down meal at a mid-range property for a conference or off-site, you'll be in the ballpark. Odd sked conflicts finally gave me a reason to stop and seek Baked's take-out solution for busy East Cobbers. Two orders of the lemon and garlic bake chicken, with side of mac chez and garlic potatoes ($10 each) seemed like they would fill the void, and they did. Bonus was the option to have it packed family style, which is something I didn't consider, but which made serving it and clean up much simpler. The chicken was firm and moist, with plenty of herby flavor, while the garlic potatoes were plain evil in their garlicky goodness, although they had turned a little gray from holding. Mac chez was ooey and gooey and rib-sticking, although maybe not as browned as some would like. In all, a fine haul at a decent price. But also nothing that triggered mad cravings for more. It is good to know that there is such a safety net close by, and I think that is the niche that serves Baked -- and many busy families -- the best.

Believe me I never do this! 5 stars on one visit!? Well maybe 1.5! We sampled at Taste of East Cobb. This place is delicious!!! Location is a bit weird. But flavor brings customers! Staff is amazing! It's all about you! I had the all American burger. Didn't even think to taint it with any condiments! Every bite was a flavor explosion! Garlic Mash with gravy... Crazy good! Wife had lemon baked chicken with green beans and sweet potato mash. She loved every bite! Kid had the cheeseburger and he ate it up with fries! It was tough cause we all wanted to share a bite but couldn't pull ourselves from our own plate. And it was plenty! Home cooking in a restaurant! Hidden gem!

After trying Baked two times and being bummed by the pork tacos and the fried chicken, I didn't think I'd be trying it a third time until Scott, the owner, invited me back. Thanks Scott!! If it weren't for you, I'd be missing out on some finger-licking good brisket ... ENTREES Roasted Beef Brisket I was floored by how good the beef brisket tasted. It literally melts in your mouth. It's a HUGE piece of brisket slow cooked for 11 hours with a family-recipe rub. I believe this dish is the star of their menu. Shrimp and Grits Another hit. The grits weren't soaked in broth. There was a good amount of creaminess with simple toppings of shrimp and sausage. I enjoyed the simpleness of the dish. Featured Baked Salmon The salmon had a mustard based topping. Although I didn't like the topping, the salmon itself was cooked perfectly. SIDES Mac and cheese: good but not the cheesy, buttery indulgent mac I'm used to. Baked's mac and cheese is like the guilt-inducing mac's healthy sister zucchini: yumm, I love me some nicely seasoned veggies. DESSERT cobbler: good, home-made peach cobbler. It'll remind you of the days you spend spoiled by your grandma's treats when you were younger. chocolate pie: YUM, my favorite of the two desserts. The chocolate filling was a thicker, fudge-like consistency. Baked was the most packed on my third visit. It's a family-friendly restaurant with quirky decor of mix-and-match dining tables. There's also kid's play area. Dining in felt like you're just eating in your backyard; it was a comfortable and relaxed experience.

"Trust me... Get Baked. Everybody is happier and more relaxed." These words of wisdom adorn the walls at Baked, a large, utilitarian space filled with an assortment of mismatched tables and chairs, good for both large groups or intimate parties of two. This restaurant/catering business has a welcoming warehouse community vibe, and includes a dedicated play area for kids. Order at the counter from the large printed menu overhead, then sit back and relax while the staff prepares your food. Basically a "meat and two" place, you can also have soup and salad/sandwich combos or order from their list of daily specials. Gluten free and vegetarian options are clearly marked. On a cloudy, chilly day during the holidays, Baked provided a central meeting place to gather friends from all over metro Atlanta. Our party of six ordered liberally from the menu, sampling quite a variety of their delicious offerings. I loved the tomato basil soup, one of the day's specials, which was nicely seasoned and filled with fresh tomato flavor. Their house salad is also good, topped with Baked's made-in-house roasted garlic vinaigrette. Other highlights included a special of beef short ribs, fried chicken, okra, and fries, along with a sampling of all their desserts. The hands down dessert favorite was the salted caramel cheesecake, also a daily special. (I see a theme here. Definitely check out the daily special board.) One interesting menu item was an order of egg rolls, which look and taste (according to my husband and friends, as these are not GF) like upscale Totino's pizza rolls. If you like those, order and enjoy. If you prefer a more traditional egg roll, don't. It's unlikely I'll find myself in this area of our fair city in the near future, but if I do, I'll definitely make a return trip to try their baked lemon and garlic chicken with sides of garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.

I ordered take out from Baked for lunch for the first time a couple of days ago. I have wanted to try Baked for a long time after having seen the reviews here on Yelp. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and think this is a really great fast-casual restaurant with good quality home-cooked style food. On a Saturday afternoon for lunch it was not crowded at all with no wait to order at the counter in the store. The staff at the counter were very friendly. The interior is pretty nice if you want to eat in the store. There are ample seats and tables of different sizes to accommodate different sized parties. It was a larger seating area than I was expecting, and a little nicer area to sit in. I had their fried chicken with the sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts as sides. The fried chicken was moist and tender and there was plenty of meat on the breast and not a whole lot of breading on the outside. This was just perfectly cooked for me. The sides, though, for me were the standout. I am not normally a fan of Brussels sprouts, but they cooked them so well with light charring on the outside that I just couldn't get enough of them. The same goes for the sweet potatoes. The cooking style was fairly simple, without any complicated sauces or anything, but they were still able to make everything taste really good. I also ordered as an appetizer the Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls. You get two fairly large egg rolls that have a slight buffalo sauce taste in them -- not too overwhelming. They are deep fried and were pretty tasty, but really the main course turned out to be large enough and tasty enough that I didn't really need to order an appetizer. I definitely want this on my list of places I'll go to again. When I don't want to cook at home, but still want excellent quality home-style cooking, this is the place I would go.

Second time here & not disappointed at all. I had the Beef Brisket with Brussel sprouts & Mac&Cheese. It was yummy especially the Brussel Sprouts. I love me some lightly charred sprouts. Will be back for sure. Oh & because of other reviews we might be leaving with a crack bar. Even though I'm soooo stuffed.

This is my favorite restaurant ever! Everything is so good! I especially love the tilapia! The owner is also the one of the nicest people you will ever meet. You should definitely try BAKED!

  • Lindze M.

Well, huh. Based on the rave reviews, I was excited to try it. I was super disappointed. I got the fried chicken with Mac & cheese and garlic mashed potatoes sides. My daughter got Mac & cheese and fries. We had apple-berry cobbler for dessert. 1) the chicken is breast only, which bummed me out cause I prefer dark meat. The breading was a tad over fried and not super flavorful. 2) the Mac & cheese was my favorite part of the meal, and my daughter loved it. 3) the garlic mashed potatoes were yuck. Not garlicy at all and flavorless. Gravy tastes bland and like the kind made from a mix. 4) fries were good 5) cobbler was super BLAH. Not good topping and again just super mediocre. My daughter didn't even finish her half. I'm giving it 3 stars, not 2 like I want, because they have GREAT customer service and I really liked the interior. My daughter had a blast in their kids area and they have tons of coloring stuff for kids. The employees kept checking on me and were so nice. Customer service is very important to me, so for that alone, I will be back to try something else. Maybe I'll like it better.

I hate to say that we didn't love it at all. First of all, there sweet tea you have to mix yourself with a bottle of il simple syrup which is dated a week ago. We received or food in a timely matter I received chicken breast that was bone-in and Mac and cheese with Brussel sprouts. Mac and cheese was smoochy and Brussel sprouts were burnt. My son got the tilapia which had absolutely no taste and his fries he said were just wierd like they weren't cooked all the way. Unfortunately we won't be back. It's a drive but I would go to Gabriel's on Whitlock instead.

I can't believe I haven't left a review for his hidden gem in East Cobb. It's funny because I used think it was a smoke paraphernalia shop, my friend thought it was a bakery and another friend it was a clay vase store. Boy was I happy to see it is none of the above. Their Shrimp and Grits amazing. Very few places have me craving this meal (the other would be Highland Bakery in Atlanta). These come with shrimp and sausage and they don't skimp on the meat. The grits are the perfect, fluffy consistency that melts literally in your mouth. I've also had the broccoli chicken that has a type of curry in it. Sadly it isn't prepared at the store often since all dishes change each week but if you happen to see it, try it. I promise you'll be back for more. Their sides are all tasty too. The brussel sprouts are charred and tossed in bacon, yes! The mac and cheese is made with a large shell pasta, perfect! The only set back to this place is it closes at 9pm. I can't meet friends here after work to have an amazing meal or enjoy their 1/2 price wine (glass or bottle) night on Thursdays.

Excellent food. Loved the beef brisket, grilled brussel sprouts, and the fried okra was off the hook!!! Easy to find, great service.

Great place to take the kids! Staff is so nice and food is yummy and reasonable! We go weekly and they also deliver to house or pool if you want a change from pizza. Great spot!!!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was good southern cooking just as advertised and the staff was more than friendly. It's just that the food is so very not good for you. All the vegetables are glistening with butter or oil. I would liked to have some sort of healthy option. It was very yummy, but I can't see myself going very often.

I am unable to recommend Baked. First off you have to order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Self serve beverages also. Our food was pretty lousy. I had chicken fried steak with brussel sprouts and fried okra. My husband had herbed lemon baked chicken with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. My chicken fried steak was horrible. The crust was burned and so very greasy. My husband's mashed potatoes were cold. He said his chicken was ok, but I could see it was undercooked near the breast bone /: This is supposed to be comfort food, there was no sweet tea! Just a squeeze bottle of simple syrup next to the unsweetened tea dispenser. The bathroom was filthy, with an industrial rug running by the sink that looked like it had never been vacuumed or cleaned. On a positive note, my fried okra and brussel sprouts were good as were my husband's green beans.

Food was not bad - Price was ok - Service was good. Only problem was the place was EXTREMELY smokey - to the point that my eyes are now watering. Other than that - a nice find.

I'm not often caught off guard by a restaurant. It is both familiar and yet completely different, as if my grandmother drove up in a food truck to serve some lovin goodness. I recently ate at baked and can honestly say that their take on comfort food is unique and delightful. Also unless you have had the shrimp and grits at baked, then you have never had shrimp and grits before. Well done ... indeed

4 1/2 stars with over one hundred reviews? I'm not sure about that. I would give it 3 1/2 starts. Mostly because I feel it is overpriced. Also, the food, while quite good, does not seem to be consistent from time to time. I have gotten take out from here several times, and the mac and cheese, for example, varies it seems both in quality and quantity given. The fried chicken is good, but not exceptional. The skin is very well done, so maybe it's just a preference thing on my part. The Lemon Chicken I did not care for at all. What brings me back are the green beans - absolutely fantastic, exceeded, in my opinion, only by the green beans at Chong Qing Hot Pot in Chamblee. Still, the staff here is very friendly and they do seem to care, which goes a long way in my book. I will return I'm sure, just be prepared to pay high prices.

After being vaguely aware of this place for a few years now, a friend finally dragged me in, and now I am regretting my pre-Baked years. The food is incredible. I am not a cook, my mother was not a cook, but my Grandmother made amazing meals, and the food here reminds me of her. I ordered pan-fried pork chops and green beans - both were incredible. I had to come write a review because I want this business to thrive. I will be eating here regularly. There is so much I want to try!

So, today was one of those rainy, cold blah days that are harbingers of winter. A day for soup and sandwich with a little solicitous pampering thrown in. Where would i go for lunch? BAKED, of course. My wife had the fish and chips again. She's absolutely in love with it. She told me it was even better than last time. I had the tomato-basil soup and the Turkey BLT. An excellent choice for a cold, rainy afternoon. The soup was redolent with tomato pieces and fresh basil leaves. It had a hint of garlic and just a bit of heat to offset the saweetness of the tomato. The chef showed a deft touch with the spices although the soup could have used a bit iof salt, but that's a matter of taste. The turkey sandwich was served on grilled whole wheat bread, dressed with romaine lettuce and tomato slices. The turkey was a thick cut slice of turkey breast, not the dreaded "turkey roll" so common in sandwich shops. The turkey was well-roasted and moist. Once again, it could have used a little salt, but that was its only fault. As always, the server was sokicitous without being intrusive A perfect bit of sunshine on an otherwise crummy day.

Overall I liked this restaurant. The pork belly tacos with Apple slaw was delicious. Next time I'd get that as my meal instead of a warm up. My wife had the steak sand and it was good, not exceptional. Kind of on the small side for 10 bucks. I really enjoyed the Country Fried Steak with sweet potatoes that were on point. The Mac and Cheese was average at best. Lastly, they charge 5 bucks for a kids meal that had two from the freezer chicken strips and a side. It was 36.00 for a counter service lunch. Thought it was a bit overpriced for 2 adult meals and 1 kids meal

I'm not a gourmand and I don't particularly love "fluffy" restaurant foods that don't go together. I am writing this review while eating the flank steak, zucchini, and mashed potatoes, and I am fairly certain my taste buds are doing a happy dance! The food is fresh, seasoned to bring out exceptional flavor, and decadent in a simple, comfort food type way! I think this is the best meal we have eaten since moving to Cobb!

Very good fried chicken and roasted Turkey BLT. You need to get to this place and try it. All fresh, cooked in house. Support local business, East Cobbers!!!

This place is fantabulous! I have been twice now, but look forward to going back again. I got the herb lemon chicken both times because it was just TOOO good the first time and I needed more. Haha. It is open, casual, tasty, and everyone who works there is nice and helpful. On both occasions, they were patient with me while I toiled over what sounded better to get. I felt that the price was fair and that it was a great spot for a low-key date.

I have been coming to baked since they opened. I find the food and atmosphere enjoyable. I don't come as often as I used to just because my son doesn't like it too much. Try it and I think you will find something you like!

This place has THEE best food! I stopped by on a whim after seeing the sign & reading the reviews & I'm so happy I did. The owner (I assume) was super friendly and informative and the food tasted like someone's mom was back there cooking. This is true comfort food, with large portions at a great price and they will definitely see me again!

Really enjoyed this place. Had the shrimp and grits. Very tasty. My bf had the pork chops, green beans and sweet potatoes he loved everything especially the sweet potatoes. The chocolate pie and crack bar were the best part of the meal. Rated it a four because it was a bit over priced.

This is the second time in a row I've ordered the roasted beef brisket. The flavor, juiciness, and tenderness are superb!! I always get the fried okra and sweet potatoes. The little salt flakes they use make the already scrumptious food's flavors just POP! Baked combines excellent comfort food with extraordinary customer service. Baked is a mainstay of our short list of good, family friendly, and Paleo compatible (if you choose wisely) restaurants.

I went here for the first time tonight, and it's definitely my new go to place. I ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes and green beans, and everything was amazing. The pork chops were fried. They had a savory batter and were cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes are cooked great, and came with a very tasty gravy on the side. The green beans were cooked to perfection. They were blackened, crisp, and flavorful. These green beans were not overcooked. It was nice to see a restaurant that can cook vegetables. If you haven't eaten here, where have you been eating? Because there isn't a better place in Cobb County.

We had baked and fried chicken with green beans and sweet potatoes catered into the office for a meeting. The baked chicken was super moist, which I find that most baked chicken is not. It was very good. It was bone-in though, which I wouldn't normally choose. The green beans were a little too al-dente to me, but the flavor was spot on. I normally hate sweet potatoes unless they are savory. These were coated with cinnamon and honey and I love them. That is a BIG deal. I want to go to the actual restaurant sometime to see what other kind of yummy southern food they have.

My husband and I came down with the crud and were too sick to cook. My sweet sister called Baked from the other side of the country and ordered us three days worth of food to be delivered at 4:00pm. The doorbell rang at 4:00pm sharp! The food was absolutely awesome! All we have to do is just heat up a dish when we get hungry. Faves are the shrimp and grits, chicken soup, chocolate pie and really everything they brought. The nicest people you ever want to meet. Thanks sis and thanks Baked!!

I literally don't know where to even start...this was the BEST "HOME" FOOD EVER!!! I travel a lot for work and saw this place had great reviews and looked modern industrial on the inside from the pics, so a co-worker and I stopped by. To me, it's an odd location for a restaurant. But, was easy to spot...so that made me happy. I enjoyed the low key, industrial/modern decor. Was very relaxing. 1) Love brisket. I order it where ever I go and it's available. This place, hands down, has THE BEST BRISKET I HAVE EVER HAD! So tender, fell apart, nothing I could/would/should change about it. I had enough left over for making a sandwich for tomorrow. 2) Mac 'n Cheese egg rolls...uhm hello...amazing! You can taste that it's homemade. 3) Brussels sprouts...for those who don't like them, I would see if they would allow you to try just 1. I promise you, they are so good! Braised and have a slightly grilled taste. I found them to be DELICIOUS! And I only recently acquired the taste for brussels sprouts. 4) Green beans...just the same. Have a slightly grilled taste. SO amazing! 5) Fried chicken...WOWZAAAAH! Not greasy, all white meat, nice crunch. SO great!!!! 6) "Crack" bar...don't ask questions. Get it...because it tastes like heaven. Couldn't even tell you whats in it...but it's DELICIOUS! If I lived in ATL, I'd be here at least 2 or 3 times a month. This place is just great!!! I am spreading the word to all the people I work with down here who aren't familiar with this place as well as a couple family members to bring this little place some happy new customers!!!

Sometimes when you work the weekend, you need a comforting lunch to help you through the day. That is exactly what I received today when I ordered from Baked for the first time. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Sprouts have a great char, potatoes were seasoned perfectly and I could bathe in this white gravy!! Well Done Baked. You will see me every Saturday in May =]

This was not an establishment that I would have sought out based on the cuisine (American Classic), but it was serendipity that brought us here (we won 2nd place in the photo contest at the Yelp Elite event at their "sister" restaurant RedSky, which included a gift card for Baked) but it was the fried chicken that will bring us back. Wen we placed our order we were told that if we could wait about 20 minutes they would have a fresh piping hot batch of fried chicken ready ... Who can say no to fresh hot fried chicken - I can't. S we ordered two side salads and the fried chicken with sides of Brussel Sprouts and Mac N Cheese. In a matter of minutes the salads were out, and yummy! A nice collection of greens, tomatoes, with a healthy handful of bacon bits (bacon is health food isn't it?) and hard boiled eggs accompanied by their house dressing - a delightful roasted garlic balsamic vinaigrette. This was by far one of the nicest and tastiest side salads I have ever had. Then came the chicken - I have never seen a piece of fried chicken (it was the breast quarter) with such a uniform and delightfully thick golden brown breading in my life. Too hot to hold in my fingers when served - I had to break into it with a fork - and that delightful fried chicken smell rose with the steam... Just so moist - this was the star of the meal. And the Brussel Sprouts were also very well done with lots of deep caramelization that brings out the real taste of this delightful mini cabbage. All in all quite a nice surprise, and highly worthy of a repeat visit !

We came here after reading some reviews here on yelp. Coming from the north and hawaii I wanted to experience the south states and get a good feel for the food. I've tried many restaurants so far but this has been the best by far! Fried pork chop and country fried steak are really good! All the sides are delicious as well. Everything tastes soo fresh. Definitely be back.

Fresh food..the manager is always friendly, funny and helpful. Delivery is fast..food is hot and fresh. Only thing we would change would be the fries portion to be a little larger. We love it

My husband and I ate there for dinner. I had a lobster roll which I cannot find around here, and my husband had shrimp. They were both great meals with 2 big side portions of our choice. We want to go again and try the pork chops and flank steak. They do take out and delivery, so we are going to take advantage of it. The only thing I would recommend is better signage outside. You can pass it easily not realizing what it is.

I've driven pass the building before and I had no clue what it was, so I looked them up and I knew I had to try them, because I was in the mood for something different and something that wasn't fast food. When I entered the building no one greeted me immediately, but it didn't bother me much it gave me a chance to look around and check out the menu. I did have to wait a few minutes before someone emerged from the back, but the guy behind the counter (whom I believe was one of the owners...I'm bad with names) was very helpful and answered all of my questions (vegetarians are very inquisitive). I'd decided on the vegetarian dish of the day which was pasta with marinara (alfredo is the other choice) and vegetables and I got 2 sides-the macaroni and cheese and the cinnamon sweet potatoes and the crack bar...yes I said crack bar. The concept of take home meals seems familiar to me, but the food was fresh and hot and I couldn't wait to try everything by the time I got home. 30 minutes of traffic later....Home So I unpack everything and dive right into the pasta... It had good taste but it could've had more vegetables. Something else odd was the portion size for dinner. It would've been a great amount for lunch but it was a bit small for dinner. But that's not a turn off since the taste was good. The sides were good as well. The macaroni and cheese was made with white cheeses (just added a bit of pepper) and the cinnamon sweet potatoes were good as well (I like mine sweeter so added a bit of sugar). Next time I'll try those green beans. And don't let me forget about the crack bar which was very yummy indeed. It had a shortbread bottom, a light caramel sauce, something else in the middle I think snicker doodle, and chocolate on top...it was good I want another one like right now...maybe that's why it's called the crack bar... But overall I had a good meal and the customer service was great, I will definitely be back to try more of their food and to get another crack bar of course...

I found Baked on Yelp while in Marietta for a midday appointment and am glad I did. Inside the perimeter there is sadly a lack of good Southern places to eat. The ones there are typically charge $14 and up for a meat and 2. Baked offers a healthier spin on traditional Southern. Most items are between $10 and $12. I had country fried steak with green beans and Garlic Mashed potatoes. The steak was tasty and served with white gravy. It wasn't deep fried but still had a good flavor although it was a tad small. The green beans were sautéed. Not typical southern style. They were slightly crisp with a little garlic flavor and a great taste. The garlic mashed potatoes with brown gravy were delicious. Overall, this was a great meal for $10.95 and I'll be back when in Marietta.

This place is great for lunch (and dinner too although I have never been in the evening). The food is obviously prepared with care, the portion sizes are appropriate, and the ingredients are fresh. They do something with the green beans that puts them over the top. I think they must place them on the grill right before serving them. They are delicious. You can eat lunch for $8 including a drink and dinner is only a few bucks more. They serve everything from flank steak, to shrimp, to a BLT. The service is great, always smiling and prompt. Also, there is a a little area for kids to play in, not a trashy playground, more like somebody's cool kid playset. Oh and they have bottled beer like dogfish head for like $3 all the time.

I love the concept. Dine-in, take out, use their menu and products to plan a picnic ( spotted cute cooler/heat-holding bags on display), order a double portion or more to take home for dinner - fresh, made to order. I had heard of Baked earlier this year from friends at Red Sky Tapas up the street but never found myself looking for lunch in that random part of Johnson Ferry. I knew about the large to-go options and maybe let that thus-far-unneeded aspect (often cooking for one) cloud my mind from allowing Baked into my East Cobb dining options. I am telling you now, give this place a try! I requested Chicken Country Fried something on the Yelp Talk message board for my New Jersey guest and was recommended Baked.! I would liken the whole thing to "Mom's" cooking. Just imagine going to your Mother or Grandmother in her kitchen and asking for one of her 11 best homemade dishes. She makes it fresh right there (she didn't already have it sitting in a pan awaiting your arrival.) She serves it to you on one of her plates, a huge portion, "Mangia! You're skin and bones!" Maybe she wraps it up for you to take home to your house for yourself and maybe your family, too ("Here take more for so-and-so you live with.") Or maybe she is quirky and stylish, and she gives it to you with her picnic basket, blanket, silverwear, fake flowers in a vase for atmosphere, a little wine, too (Yea! Gramma knows what's up. She's a wino.) and some cloth napkins so you don't embarrass yourself in front of your picnic date. (Don't forget the sunblock and/or bugspray!) This colorful reenactment is just an example of the excitement I feel Baked could bring to lives. I don't know if they have a stash of embroidered, monogrammed hankies but I do know they make a swell, filling homecooked meal fresh to order and they totally have wine, too. (Travel-friendly disposable Copa or a straight up bottle.) The shrimp & grits are excellent. Creamy, cheesy grits, perfect consistency. Tailless shrimp, cooked great, sausage-YES, savory brown gravy... I could go for this now. If the gravy were a little less rich, I may have force fed myself the whole thing. Instead, I happily opted for leftovers (score!) Gordon Ramsey hates doggie bags but what does he know? My lunch date from NJ of course had the country fried steak. The white gravy was on the side which was a bit of a plus for me. I think my Northern aversion (myself, from NJ) to country chicken fried anything has been the big, sloppy, drowning meat presentation I have always otherwise previously seen. I tried it, and I approve. :) We also had fried okra (cooked just right) and the mac & cheese (delish, but could use a little more savory. Went well with my brown gravy.) Owner Scott told me the only thing not made in house at Baked is what they call the Crack Bar. They get it from a nearby bakery I didn't catch the name of, but I dig that these 2 local biz' support each other. Back to Crack: "Like a Twix," he said. Chocolatey, caramelly, a little bit of a cookie cake inside. Munchilicious and addictive... :) The restaurant is simple, casual, clean, cute.. not fancy. Order at the counter, they'll bring you your dishes and bus your table if they're not swamped. I am excited to try their nine other menu items and hope Mom doesn't find out ;) On second thought, maybe I will bring her out to enjoy it with me!

Baked's roast turkey is so heavenly, even after Thanksgiving I still crave it. Tender and moist, with a wonderful oven-roast flavor I've never tasted anyplace else. Paired with home cooked veggies, it defies description. So far the cornbread and cranberry dressing has only been offered as a catered dish, but it sounds absolutely scrumptious. Definitely at the top of my wish list for the perfect Christmas dinner!

A friend and I stopped by here for lunch today. I thought this place was simply a take out place - nope, they have dining available, too! I ordered the shrimp & grits, she was looking for more healthy fare and chose tilapia, green beans & sweet potatoes. We were both very pleased with our meals. It's hard to find comfort food spots that also offer fresh veggies in addition to mac n' cheese, etc. One of the owners visited our table and we had a discussion with him - he's very passionate about the restaurant & the food they serve. It shows! I'll definitely be back, not just for in house dining, but for occasional meals to go. If you've been driving by this spot, but haven't tried them - GO! You won't be disappointed.

I love this place. The food and the staff are the best! Shrimp and Grits are my favorite, the kids love the brisket, but tonight I will be checking out the Pork Belly tacos, they sound awesome. Bake it Happen!

Great in a pinch. We are working parents and sometimes we need to have someone else do the cooking. Their fried chicken is awesome!

BEST IN EAST COBB!!!! I cannot believe how delicious their food is! The lemon & garlic baked chicken is just to die for. I come all the way to East Cobb from buckhead just to eat here. Can't wait to see this place expand. Also try their crack bar dessert. I do not have one bad thing to say about this place and the customer service is out of this world. 5 stars is simply not even enough! (:

The best fried chicken I have had in a very long time. I don't even know what black magic they are using to get so much of the flavor to penetrate the skin into the breast meat. I am a Dallas, TX resident visiting friends near my old stomping ground and we stopped by for our last lunch in Atlanta. I didn't even know that I was really missing southern fried chicken until this meal. Now I am on a hunt to find something close to as good as this in the Dallas area.

Baked just saved our Thanksgiving. The family got sick and we were in triage mode when we realized the holiday was around the corner, nothing at all for anyone to eat... Found out these guys had a nice turkey meal, and they would deliver to boot! Well, the results were shockingly good. I'm talking about gourmet caliber, the bird was so juicy and flavorful, stuffing tasted great (little bits of pork were amazing), the cranberries were perfect. My compliments to the chef!

AWESOME!!!!!! I Loved this place! I just finished eating there fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and crack bar. Also tried my fiancé shrimp and grits and Mac and cheese. Every single thing was great!! Their fried chicken was better than other fried chicken that is on "Atlanta's top Fried Chicken lists". The owner and other workers were so nice and friendly. When it comes down to it, I will be back here very soon!!!

I remember the first time I came here. I was extremely hungover and my roommate suggested we go get baked. Now, I told him he was insane and i'm not about to smoke some weed. But he reassured me and told me it was this awesome place for food. Still thinking it was a trap I reluctantly went with him, and it forever changed my life. Baked is nestled into a small area and at first it's hard to find at first. Every time I drive by it, I have to resist the urge to pull over and buy dinner. Service: I would give it a 4/5 The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and people who actually care about the business. That combination is always a winning ticket for the staff. The only reason I say 4 is the fact that sometimes they miss the door chime. Food: This is probably as good as it gets. For being quick, and the quality of the ingredients. 5/5 Decor: Simple, elegant, and lots of green. Their daily specials, you do not want to miss them.

Awesome home cooked food but better than most home cooked meals. I absolutely loved this place. I travel for work...on planes four times a week and I am often eating in places I don't know and too often disappointed. However in Three years on this job traveling all over the country this is on my list of top 3. Just Go! Don't think about it. Don't procrastinate. Just GO! I had the brisket, Mac and cheese to die for and I loved the way they do the veggies. Sautéed and just the right amount of char. I had the Brussels sprouts. I am going back tomorrow!

Super happy with the food we got from Baked. We were first timers and will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend the beef brisket, shrimp & grits, bbq chicken. As far as sides the fried okra was delicious. And the sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes were great. I'm a big brussels fan and found them a little lackluster - but other than that the food was perfect. See you again soon!

So I have been reading about this place for quite a while now and it's a little tough to get to from Smyrna with traffic and what not and they close at 8 pm. The food was all very solid and some of the things I got: Triple d fried chicken Country fried steak Fried Pork chops Bbq ribs Shrimp and grits Each order comes with two sides and I tried to sample all sides but they forgot to include my Mac and cheese along with Brussels sprouts. They also forgot to include the blackberry cobbler. Given that I still say it's a solid 4 stars. Everyone is raving about the shrimp and grits which is a great plate but the creamy grits make it. Green beens were good and not over cooked. I saw they also have a camp menu, those are some lucky kids, wish I got this for lunch during camp!!

I was not excited about this place at first. I'm still not too into the whole country cooking/ southern comfort food thing. My husband wanted to try it and who am I to say no? We got our food to go. Me: flank steak BLT, garlic mashed potatoes. Him: brisket, garlic mashed potatoes. We both got crack bars on the recommendation of the guy at the counter. Seriously you guys - the best sandwich I have had in years. I couldn't have eaten it fast enough and I wanted another one immediately. My cold, northern heart grew three sizes that day. The brisket was pretty good too. But I don't really have anything to compare it to. Oh, and the crack bars? Yep. Crack. So good. Not that I would know that crack is good - but these bars certainly have an addictive quality. The prices are fantastic. The sandwich and the sides were under $9. You can't beat that. It's a much better deal than fast food given the quality and love put into the menu. I will definitely be back here again.

This place changed my opinion on grits. Their shrimp and grits feel like a hug on your tastebuds. UTTERLY delicious and ive never described grits in such a way. I dont know about anything else, but the shrimp and grits will keep me a customer for life.

I'm kind of in love with Baked. This is one of the few places I know I can go and eat healthy food that tastes good. You start out with a choice of protein, then choose sides, and there is a BIG selection of veggies, not just your typical fries and baked potato. The brussels sprouts are to die for. There is a separate play area for kids, which is nice for them, for their parents, AND for other diners. The ambience is casual, bright, clean and colorful, but just a bit warehouse-y for me. In the winter, the wooden chairs were COLD. Service/friendliness would get six stars if I could manage it. I went there while I was in treatment for thyroid cancer, and was on a restricted, low-iodine diet before undergoing radiation. I called ahead and let the owner know, and he made up a plate of food tailored to my restrictions, then came over to chat with me and my mom during our meal. THAT is service. Now whenever I go in there I get the warm fuzzies. (which helps with those cold chairs)

Just tried Baked today for the first time. A friend who lives nearby had recommended it to me. I drive by there all the time and finally decided to stop today. Glad I did! The entree salad I ordered had an excellent dressing and the ingredients were all very good and fresh. The baked chicken on the salad was excellent-incredibly tender, flavorful, and not the least bit dry. I really enjoyed the salad. The owner was on site-he was friendly, accommodating, and gracious. What more could you want from a casual, neighborhood restaurant???

Now, let's do check off list for this restaurant for a nice change of pace from my other reviews. 1., Great location: Check 2., Wonderful employees: Check 3., Delicious food: Check 4., Incredible price: Check 5., Wonderful Decor: Not Checked It has everything that I would want for an on-the-go restaurant, but lacks a nice dine-in experience. In a world of ever-changing gas prices, the people have asked for good food at a good price, without any of the bells and whistles of a fine-dining restaurant, and Baked has spoken. This great establishment is also related to the nice lounge/tapas bar, Red Sky, down the road, but seems to have planted its seed far from that tree. The atmosphere is a little dry, but perhaps some more music (that or raise the volume a tad) to draw attention away from the plain decor could be suggested. The food is the main attraction, and may I suggest the fried chicken? It's possibly the best fried chicken I've had the pleasure of eating in East Cobb. I was very pleased to be advised on what I should try according to my announced cravings. The employees were very helpful in deciding my next meal, and I cannot thank them enough. So far, everything on the menu has delivered, and I have always been satisfied. The consistency is there, and the meats are cooked the way it should be. Not dry, not under, just right. The sauces and spices have left me wanting something more creative, though the sweet honey potato did have me surprised. I always have a great experience with my orders, and will come back soon for some more of that banana pudding. Thank you for coming to East Cobb, Baked!

I haven't had a bad meal at this restaurant. Staff are very courteous and helpful. If you like shrimp and grits, theirs is one of the best I've eaten. Shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The grits are creamy and very good. Vegetables aren't overcooked. If you give the place a try, you'll be back.

This review is long over due!! We just moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area and looking for a place that has great food and an great atmosphere for kids. The first placed we tried based off of reviews and we nailed it. Outstanding quality you can taste in every bite. My wife loved the shrimp and grits and the fried chicken along with the brisket is to die for. Limited beer menu, but what they do have is very good. Great service and in the front corner of the entrance is a little space for kids to play which was great. Great atmosphere, and great comfort food that is fresh tasty and quality you can taste. The

I've been here several times and been impressed every time. My favorites are the shrimp and grits, the pork chops, and the brisket. A great place to go for some home cooking. Nice atmosphere that is kid friendly though there have never been kids running wild any time I've been there. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is very clean.

We used Baked as our caterer for a dinner party last weekend. We had about sixty people ranging from carnivores to vegetarians. Everyone loved the food! It was scrumptious and plentiful. You have to try the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, grilled string beans, mashed potatoes and fried okra. Their fish and chips and pecan crusted tilapia are awesome and all of the desserts we've tried are rich and sinful. Baked was a dream to work with. My family has been to the restaurant numerous times. We spoke with Scott, the owner. He told us to check out the website for the best options for catering. Scott advised us on what works and what doesn't for a buffet. He also advised us on portions. His crew came exactly on time and was set up quickly. Jennifer was the caterer for the party. She was excellent. Everything was hot and appealing all night. The guests talked to her about the dinner and she was extremely knowledgable and helpful. Not anticipating everyone coming for seconds, we were close to running out of plates. Jennifer even offered to go get more. It was like having your best friend run your party. We highly recommend everyone to check out the restaurant Baked on Johnson Ferry in the heart of East Cobb. It is southern cuisine at its best! And we will certainly use them again for catering. It was easy, beyond delicious and our friends got in line to take home leftovers! Ellen M

Ok, so I know I reviewed Baked in June, but it was imperative that I comment AGAIN. My best friend came to visit me in MD and delivered my frozen shrimp and grits!!! Wow, what can I say? She even brought some for my hairstylist, who by the way, sent a kiss to everyone at the restaurant; she was so upset that her kids wanted to share her meal!!! I had to call the owner, Scott, and RAVE about my meal! We have shrimp and grits here in Baltimore, but I refuse to try them. I know that's not nice, but when you love what you love...what can you say? I am so biased!!! LOL! Scott makes me miss southern hospitality and just plain old goodness. The fact that the food is absolutely delicious is one thing, but to find people like Scott and his staff, truly dedicated to their craft and their customers, just reaffirms that great food, great people, and great service is not a thing of the past. Trust me when I say I have no ties to this establishment, but if I did, I would scream it from the rooftops and run commercials nonstop!!! ; ) If you have not had the opportunity to visit, please do. It is so important that we support small business. I am keeping this place on my prayer list for exponential growth, mega success, and decades upon decades of longevity!!! Kudos to everyone at Baked! I just cannot say it enough...you guys are so AWESOME!!!!!!

I absolutely love this place. The shrimp and grits are amazing, and so is the brisket. They are both some of the best that I've had anywhere. I also enjoy the veggie cakes and lemon-pepper chicken, but the first two items I mentioned are my go-to menu items here. I've heard that some of their other items are also amazing, but I've only tried these four. You absolutely have to finish off your meal with a crack bar. Be warned though, they are highly addictive. I have one major regret with this restaurant though. I wasted a year of my life and I wish that I could have it back. For a year, I drove by this restaurant often saying to myself, "I really need to try that place out." If only I could go back in time to have that year back, I wouldn't have this void in my life from knowing that I missed out on a year's worth of one of the best restaurants around.

as you can see, this place is mostly good reviews and the majority did enjoy their visits..but that was not the case for me. from the looks of it, I was the ONLY unsatisfied customer of theirs. it was about a couple of weeks ago..that the owner, Scott, reached out to me. I kno I vowed to never return to this place, but I believe in second chances. we stopped by Baked around 2pm. it was a pretty slow shift for them since there was no one inside; besides one couple that was ordering carryout. we proceeded to the counter and we introduced ourselves to Scott and vice versa. Scott was very appreciative that we decided to give Baked a second chance. he then went on to explaining the specials to us, which rotate weekly. the specials were: braised beef w/ polenta AND light chicken alfredo pasta. those 2 were right up our alleys, so that's what we ordered. | FOOD: | [ braised beef w/ polenta ] the beef in this particular dish were boneless short ribs. they were also shredded, or you can also say they were "pulled". the beef was marinated and braised in a light tomato sauce. it was not too strong of a tomato aroma, which is why I loved it. the braised beef short ribs were placed on top of the mashed polenta ( cornmeal boiled into a porridge). it was very similar to the texture of really smooth grits. to top the dish off, Scott throws a little touch of mozzarella cheese and parmesan on top. I don't kno if this is just me, but it taste very similar to lasagna! the only difference was the type of meat used and the polenta as the starch, instead of lasagna noodles. think of a very smooth, non-chewy lasgana. overall, job well done. this dish was amazing! (so delicious that the boyfriend stopped by the next day and ordered 2 more orders...lol) the balance of flavors worked very well together. there wasn't too much or too little of anything. this is definitely an unique dish. the only downside to this dish is, it does NOT make a good leftover. since the meat is pulled so thinly, it causes the meat to be easily burnt. especially with the cheese that has already melted on top of the meat. be careful when microwaving this dish because the layers of meat on top will be burnt or wayyyy too dry. I had to discard the top layer and only eat the layer underneath; which is a total waste of meat :( other than that, the polenta rehears just fine. [ light chicken alfredo pasta ] when this dish says light, it really means light! I'm actually very tired of these alfredo sauces that are so chunky and heavy. it's about time that a restaurant/cafe tweaks the consistency of the alfredo sauce. not only does this dish rebel with a lighter sauce; but Baked uses rotini (spiral, twists) noodles instead of fettuccine. the sauce contains a little twist, with the addition of cuts of portobello mushrooms. kudos for originality. the noodles are also topped with grilled chicken. the chicken was not dry and had a very nice char on the outside. of course, Baked is also kind enough to cut the chicken into strips for you. | SERVICE: | after all the negative things I said in my previous (first impression) review, Scott was very mature and understanding. he actually appreciated the feedback and was willing to change some things around. I absolutely loved his personality and demeanor. he was so respectful of my comments. I love people who can take criticism; those are the type of people that become successful in life. overall dining experience, Scott was very accommodating. the dishes on the special board were great and he even let us sample some other dishes on his menu. I must say I've never been a fan of grits, but you NEED to try the grits at Baked. it was soooo creamy and smooth. it's usually paired with shrimp and sausauge, but I can just eat those grits alone! the service was great as well; Scott was such a good host. he checked on us after every little thing was sent out and asked us for our feedback on everything. he was just wonderful and so was the "redemption food". I don't need to say "we will be back" since he's already seen us come back the next day~ lol. thanks again, Scott!

Yet again for the fifth time I've placed a Togo order. Yet again they claimed to have certain items and then on arrival told me they did not. The food is OK but not worth being screwed around with by lazy wait staff and their inability to verify their stock. Service is apathetic. Food is fair to median. Decoure is pleasant. Not worth visiting when its basically an upjumped chili's and theres better food around.

This place is a gem! Locally owned, everything is prepared fresh. They emphasize baked food, but everything we had was delicious. Ate there for the first time on my way home from work on a Tuesday evening about 5:15. Only one diner at the time, though it started picking up with take out and dine in customers. Got the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and sautéed Brussels sprouts and a glass of Pinot Grigio, which came out about 5 minutes later. As it was order at the counter, I tipped only 10%, so the check was under $17 total. It was one of the few times I found myself wishing for heavier breading on the fried chicken. Don't get me wrong, it was very tasty - I just wanted more of yummy, crispy fried coating. The skin was crispy and the meat was done exactly right, cooked fully, but still juicy. I'll be back to try their other offerings. Excellent comfort food! Mike

A savior from having to cook! We tried this place for the first time on Tuesday. Where have I been? Some of the nicest owners & fab food to match. A great concept. Varied menu with specials, order at the counter with sit down service level, fresh high quality food, priced well and cute decor. I had baked chicken, Mac/cheese & green beans. Husband had brisket, mashed potatoes and Mac/cheese. perfection. Plan on seeing us at least once a week!

All I have to say is FRIED CHICKEN... oh and Shrimp n grits, and brisket. I have yet to have anything I didn't love at Baked! And the wine selection is great! Fried Chicken...sooo good! great sides as well. read about this place somewhere about how good the fried chicken is, yep, I'm from North Carolina and love Bojangles especially for tail gates or hangover food., so glad they're opening them up in Atlanta, just need one closer to my house. ahh,, but I reminisce, this place is like a high end Bojangles with nice decor and homey feeling. Feels a bit out of place in the strip mall they're in, so wasn't sure when first saw it, but definitely go in and enjoy.

Ate here the other day and was surprised at how good it was. I've driven by a couple of times but never stopped to eat. Stopped in for 'to go' lunch, got soup and a half sandwich. Soup was roasted chicken and pasta, very good. Sandwich was chicken salad on wheat and was amazing! If I knew how good the chicken salad was, I would have gotten the whole sandwich! Yummy!

We went there based on good Yelp reviews. The space is very open with mismatched tables, chairs and stools. You order at the counter for eat in or take out. You can also call or email for pick up. They'll also pack a picnic for you. And they have a delivery area. Greg had chicken noodle soup, which was very salty. The noodles were spirals and there were a lot of them. I prefer a few small flat noodles. He also got a turkey sandwich, which was bland. I got a side salad with their house dressing, a roasted garlic vinaigrette, which was rose colored, thick and crave worthy. I also had fried chicken, which was a perfectly done breast and wing. My sides were fried okra, which was okay, but should have been a little crisper and hotter, and broccoli, which was firm, which I like, but was oddly and deliberately burnt in places. It was black and tasted burnt. I would love to learn how to make that salad dressing. The man who enthusiastically waited on us (the owner?) said they also have ranch dressing, if a customer insists, but he proudly praised the house dressing.

One of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had ( and I have had plenty) can be found in Baked. Love the roast/ baked chicken and brisket as well. They have beautiful roasted veggies as sides ( broccoli, green peas) and typical southern fares like braided fried okra. It's a very clean, modern, affordable and friendly neighborhood joint for a quick lunch or week-night meal.

Friendly folks with delicious food. Southern cuisine, but flavorful and not like what you find at some other southern spots (usually I envision cafeteria food but this was not like that at all). Been twice - the first visit I had the fish & chips and was treated to two massive tilapia fillets with crunchy, delightful crust. My second visit I tried the veggie cakes and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were. My husband had a fried shrimp dish that was also very good. Would definitely recommend, and the staff was very friendly. They close at 8, and my husband and I pulled up at 7:59 as they were turning off the sign thinking that they were open until 9, but they came into the parking lot to invite us in and were very welcoming. I've worked in restaurants and hated that table that came in at the last minute but they were super chill and said "well, we will be here another hour closing up anyway so it's no big deal!" They also have daily discount specials - one day is kids eat free, another is senior discount day, another is buy 2 entrees get the third for half off. Definitely worth a visit!

We were invited here by some friends a few nights ago and I had the country fried steak. The food was very good, but the entree portion size was disappointingly small; I received a single piece of country fried steak about the size of a deck of cards. Given the price, I'd have expected twice that. Portioning on the sides was decent.

Just a quick update that I've gotten really good with using them for curbside. I literally just park along the curb and Scott runs it out to the car; no unbuckling of kids from carseats!! They also deliver, but curbside is more convenient and faster for me.

Food was good. My glass of wine cost more than my entree...little odd. My son's food came out after our entrees. When we placed our order, it was interrupted by phone calls and we had to repeat our order a couple times before we were set. We enjoyed the meal, but probably not on our short list of places to come back to. :o/

Comfort food at its finest, and for a VERY reasonable price. Fried chicken is light, crispy and juicy. Green beans were perfectly cooked -- fresh, crisp, and charred just slightly for flavor. The service was friendly, but not pushy and our lunches arrived quickly. If you're not up to cooking one night for the family, stop by and take it home. I really don't think you can do better for the price.

We'd heard great things from someone who had gotten their Thanksgiving turkey from Baked. The menu changes on a regular basis, but this night I had the amazing grilled flank steak and my wife had the country fried steak. Everything was delicious! My son ate every bite of his meal, including vegetables that he typically won't touch. Scott, one of the owners, was very friendly and we had a great conversation with him during the course of our meal. After our meal he brought out a sample of the Shrimp and Grits. It was fantastic. I know exactly what I'm getting the next time I go. Prices are exactly what I'd expect, and while we were there at least 10 people picked up to-go orders.

So glad I finally came here! Large menu with tons of options & great prices. $8.95 for a huge portion of pecan crusted tilapia with 2 sides? Awesome. The roasted sweet potatoes and Mediterranean pasta salad were delicious. This is a great option to pick up as well - all entrees can be made for 1- 6 people.

Great lunch. Flank steak sandwich and perfect fried okra. Can't wait to go back! Crack bar was yummy.

LOVE Baked! Yummy, yum, yum. Lots of choices for sides! Manager was warm and personable! Just plain great! Coloring pages for the kids, too. FYI though, they're still working on getting their liquor license!

Absolutely delicious! Baked absolutely has the best food in East Cobb and is conveniently located on Johnson Ferry Road (great for dining in on my lunch hour with a co-worker or picking up a to-go dinner for my husband and I on my way home from work). I was amazed at the quality of the food on my first visit. I had the tilapia with peas and sweet potatoes, and it was wonderful down to the last bite. It's so nice to find a restaurant that creates food from scratch these days! The desserts are craveable and unique, as well (my favorite being the mint chocolate brownie). The customer service is friendly and attentive. I will be spreading the word about Baked to everyone I know!

I discovered Baked last October and fell in love! The food is soooo good! I have been a repeat customer ever since my first visit. Where do I start? So far I have had the fried chicken (awesome, so crispy...don't miss the chicken special on Friday when it is only $7), the shrimp and grits (creamy, yummy, and oh so good), the boneless pork chops (where else can you get 2 boneless pork chops and sides for around $8), the crab cake special (unbelievable) and prime rib (so delish). Side items are really great! The green beans are lightly charred on the grill and it gives them a slightly smoky flavor. Roasted sweet potatoes with a hint of cinnamon and slightly sweeten are always a favorite. The fried okra is extra good. Their website allows you to pre-order and schedule a pick-up time. The owner, Scott and all of the staff are super friendly and are constantly adding new items. In the past couple of weeks, a must try weekly fav has become the cajun shrimp garlic risotto. Wow! Just a little heat but the risotto is extra creamy. Love it! Tuesday's at Baked are my favorite. They offer a Buy 2, get 1 special. I order and put a couple of dinners in the frig for later. Try Baked for lunch or dinner, you will be so glad you did.

This. Place. Is. Awesome. For about $8-ish you can get a meat and two sides. Drink is extra. My go-to: Fried chicken. Not too greasy, very crispy. Also great: pecan-crusted tilapia with peach salsa. OMG. Very yummy: shrimp n grits, chicken pasta. Best sides, IMHO: honey and cinnamon sweet potatoes, baked apples w/ raisins, squash, mashed potatoes. Normally I have to stop myself from faceplanting in their chocolate pie, but lately with the cold weather I've been getting the peach cobbler--not too sweet, I think they said it was bourbon-glazed peaches with some kind of bready crust. If you don't order dessert here, you're really cheating yourself out of a lot of happiness in your life. Best part is that the prices are the same for lunch and dinner, which makes dinner really very reasonable. I work nearby, so I eat there a lot. I'd much rather get some freshly prepared veggies instead of a sub sandwich or fast-food burger. I have yet to try their wine, but they do have a huge selection. Also a kids play area.

Our first time here and what a treat! This place features high quality prepared food and bottles of wine - just take home, replate and light the candles for a super Saturday night dinner. We sampled the fried chicken and pork chops - I'm not sure whether we enjoined the entrees more than the sides but the green beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable medley were each delicious. I believe I could get addicted to the green beans! Enjoyed talking with Ricky Parker, one of the owners. I will be checking out the menu again this week - it's perfect for a working gal like me!

Super nice people, delicious food. I totally agree with the other review that raved about the green beans. They were the best I've ever had.

Delicious. Their shrimp and grits is the best I've ever had. They must use a ton of butter but that's what makes it good. Great for to go. We've never actually eaten there.

Tried the curbside service when I was in a pinch on a Tuesday for dinner after passing by it a bunch of times. I had looked at the menu online and then called in my order because the mobile website online ordering had a glitch. I told them I would be there in 15 minutes and they had it ready to go when I pulled up to the curb. I ordered brisket, green beans and mac and cheese for my 6 and 4 yo to split-they loved it and it was the perfect amount. I had shrimp and grits (which rivaled some we used to enjoy in Charleston-yum!) and a side of brussel sprouts which were decent. My husband had the pork chop with white gravy, green beans, and sweet potatoes. The pork chop was fantastic as was the brisket. Delicious and love the curbside service!! Can't wait to try some of the other dishes!

This place is very good and great atmosphere! I've had the Shrimp & Grits, Lemon pepper chicken, grilled shrimp, and some sides and they are all good. That "Crack Bar" is crazy good but must eat slowly, lol it's so rich. My family loves this place as a go to for home cooked food when Im being lazy and it turns out to be treat every time.

Well done ... indeed

  • Denise M.

Ellen M

We were invited here by some friends a few nights ago and I had the country fried steak. The food was very good, but the entree portion size was disappointingly small; I received a single piece of country fried steak about the size of a deck of cards. Given the price, I'd have expected twice that. Portioning on the sides was decent.

Must. Have. A. Crack. Bar. (Good thing the food here is so excellent. It gives me an excuse to come back over and over to get a Crack Bar fix).

All I have to say is FRIED CHICKEN... oh and Shrimp n grits, and brisket. I have yet to have anything I didn't love at Baked! And the wine selection is great! Perfect for grabbing something to have at home or eat in. And kid friendly with the little play area tucked int he corner. And Scott and the staff are so great! A must visit!

Ate here the other day and was surprised at how good it was. I've driven by a couple of times but never stopped to eat. The fried chicken and Mac n cheese is great but the green beans were a little crunchy. If you live near and have the craving for some home cooked comfort food, this is the place.

The food was very good...especially the mac'n cheese. I was greeted by the owner, who was very friendly, and concerned about the dining experience. He consistently checked up on me, and made sure everything was ok.

This was awesomely good!!!!! Smelled like home cookin when you walked in! It was yummy and fresh!! Couldn't have made better at home if we tried. Everything we ordered was delish!!! The owner was warm friendly & so inviting. We will definitely be back!

Just a quick update that I've gotten really good with using them for curbside. I literally just park along the curb and Scott runs it out to the car; no unbuckling of kids from carseats!! They also deliver, but curbside is more convenient and faster for me.

Food was good. My glass of wine cost more than my entree...little odd. My son's food came out after our entrees. When we placed our order, it was interrupted by phone calls and we had to repeat our order a couple times before we were set. We enjoyed the meal, but probably not on our short list of places to come back to. :o/
