I'm incredibly picky and finicky when It comes to bbq. When you've been to Texas and been spoiled by incredible brisket and sausage, it's hard to find something that compares. My folks recently moved to Loganville and found this place about a week ago. I'll admit it- I was rather skeptical when I saw they were behind a used car dealership but boy was I pleasantly surprised! Service- it was great! A+ we came in around 8:15 and they close at 9. Typically when you come in 45 minutes before a restaurant closes you can sense the "what the hell are these people doing" attitudes from everyone who works there. These folks were great! We were seated promptly and the waitress was incredibly nice and attentive. Food- my mom and I split the brisket plate. I'm not kidding when I say that it is some of the best brisket I've had since I visited Franklin's BBQ in Austin, TX. My dad had the Brunswick Stew and it was delicious as well. A+ on the food! Price- it was a little pricey but I'm totally okay with paying more for good food, good service, and a good atmosphere. All in all, definitely give this place a try. F the haters; you're gonna love this place.

The food is wonderful and being from Louisiana I am glad they have bbq and cajun. My favorite is the jambalaya, always get that for a side. Everyone there is very friendly.

The food is delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with original BBQ sauce coleslaw and baked beans. It is at the top of my list of best BBQ joints hands down. My husband had the brisket and said it was delicious. The only downfall was the wait but it was Friday night and it was a little expensive for Loganville.

Their tag line is Faith, Family & Food. If Faith & Family are priorities when you are looking for a restaurant...then Foggy Bottom is for you. Food is third on their priority list and it shows. The brisket was super fatty and the meat was dry. The sweet potato fries were cold. The slaw had the consistency of mayonnaise out of the jar and the collards were tastless. The deep fried cajun ribs were unique and delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful.

This was our first time at the foggy bottom bbq since it opened. Driving by, the parking lot is always jam packed. I had the shrimp po'boy that a friend recommended to me. It was good, but I wasn't blown away by it. The prices seemed a little high for the amount of food I received. Will definitely go again, and try something different.

The BBQ is pretty good. I loved their vinegar sauce the first time I ate here but something changed and now it's different, not near as tasty. The homemade fried pork skins are very good. The Brunswick Stew is not good at all. Not enough meat and way too much filler (mostly green peppers). The service has always been good so that's a definite plus. Worth a try if you know what to order.

The feel inside this place is like being in a camping style dinning hall - personnel are very friendly and personal comes with the great service. Couldn't resist the ribs (went for the full rack). Smoked to perfection- prob would have preferred higher seasoned flavor, but still highly smoked fallen off the bone flavor and with side. This dinner was great for our party of 6 - everyone enjoyed. We will return.

Stay away if your looking for BBQ. The wife and I ordered chopped pork sandwiches, her side was fries while I opted to go for the stew. The stew was nothing short of Dingy Moore from a can-- very bland tasting. Which leads to the sandwiches and fries. Black pepper and Lawrys seasoning are supposed to be enhancers, not ingredients. Who in there right mind puts seasoning salt on top of a chopped pork sandwich? My brother in law ordered the brisket sandwich, which came topped with pimento cheese???? So he sends it back to get just a brisket sandwich which turns out to be nothing short of pulled pot roast imitating brisket. No amount of horrible mustard sauce or ketchup based sauce, or just straight vinegar with hot sauce and red pepper flakes could mask the greasy pot roast. I think he took two bites of his sandwich before he called it unfit for his dog to eat. Hate to give a local spot such a bad review.

I have experienced BBQ all over the state of Georgia and if this is what is considered award winning BBQ I am wondering who judged the contest. To start off the service is great! The restaurant is very clean and seemed very organized. I had the brisket plate. It was very fatty, over salty and the sides were dry and salty as well. I always thought it was the kitchens responsibility to taste what goes out. This was my second visit here and I was trying to give it a second chance. I will not be returning. It is at best a mediocre attempt at BBQ. It is over priced for the area, and needs a lot of work in the kitchen.

I love BBQ and there aren't any great places in Loganville or Monore really so when this place opened I gave it a try. The place is very rustic, but some of the best places are is holes. My wife and I ordered the fried mac n cheese for an appetizer and while the taste was great the price for the amount was way off. It was a very expensive appetizer. For our mains I ordered the $13.50 brisket plate with brunswick stew and green beans with a 1/4 slab of ribs. . The stew was terrible. It had no meat to speak of and was very chunky and under cooked. The flavor was akin to a raw ketchup/bbq sauce flavor. The beans were good. The real issue was the brisket. For $13.50 I expect more than 3 thin slices of brisket. On top of the lack of food was a lack of flavor. The brisket was smoked but had little flavor. It was also cold. If they want to pre-cook the brisket they need to grill it before service. I think it would have been better had it been hot. The ribs weren't all that great either. The ribs were smoked well and were warm, but I wasn't impressed. My wife ordered the pulled pork and she seemed to enjoy her food. I tried the pulled pork and thought it was pretty good. At least her food was hot. They have a selection of different sauces to use. They are all vinegar based which I don't prefer. The service was good.

We had 2 orders of brisket side of chicken. And a hamburger plate. The greens, fries, brunswick stew and baked beans all good. Only complaint was the red beans and rice was dry. Our family will come again.

Great group of folks. Service is friendly but slow. Food is good but over priced. It would take just a bit of intentional effort and the place could go to 5 stars. I wish they would!

Got a message from someone from Foggy Bottom saying "you can't please everyone" and I should've said something to the management instead of writing about it on social media. I don't want to send my food back so you can spit in it and how about an apology instead of blaming the customer and being rude about my social media habits. Yet another reason NOT to eat at Soggy Bottom.

Really good BBQ, great sides and a great atmosphere. Oh, and FRIED MAC & CHEESE BALLS! Smoked and crispy chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had. Definitely will be visiting again!

I loved what I had. Brisket sandwich with pimento cheese. Genius combo. Bark from brisket was incredible. Get there early, everything is fresh and when they run out, they run out. My son had ribs and they were great. Mac and cheese heads will be in heaven. Slaw is creamy and nicely seasoned. Sweet tea was spot on. Staff was very welcoming and professional. I will be back!!

Asked for a lunch recommendation and was given the Foggy Bottom Signature, which is a brisket sandwich with pimento cheese on Texas toast. Recommended side was mac and cheese. Pimento cheese was cold and immediately cooled the brisket to somewhere just south of room temperature. Had it been melted on top of the brisket on a flat top, it would have been a better combination. Pimento cheese was ok, but not exceptional. Brisket was passable, but I did have one of the slices near the end and it was well overcooked, stringy and unpleasant. All of the brisket was underseasoned as was the mac and cheese (to the point where it was pretty bland). The sauce was grainy instead of creamy; sometimes the expensive cheeses need to be mixed with something else to get it right. Regular sauce was pretty good, leaning to a vinegar base, which is what I like. If you want a sweet sauce, this isn't it. The mustard sauce was even more vinegar and could have used more sugar to balanc the acidity. The overall meal was $12 without a drink, way overpriced for both the portion and the quality of what was served

Got a pound of pulled pork. Had a good amount of fat that had to be removed. This was the first time that the pork was not worth the money. Did order brisket one time and the portion was way to small for the price. They need to make sure they do not serve the fat as part of the portion. One more serving like I got this week will be last visit.

Good brisket, but the pulled pork was dry. The sides were gross except the baked beans. Brisket plate was 13.50 for two slices of meat and two sides. Really people?! Left kind of underwhelmed and over charged. Oh the potato salad is an abomination!

Food was ok. The smoked chicken wings weren't smoked. The pulled pork was juicy. Fries were yummy. Jumbalaya was just ok. Will come back to try brisket and ribs.

Worst experience ever! They forgot to put out the Whites Only sign! Staff was not friendly, management didn't speak, food was over priced and taste horrible. Other white customers that came in after myself received their food first. Waitress was not around even for refills. I was the only customer in the place at first. They made it clear that African Americans are not welcome, message received, who knows what they are doing to the food. Never going back, racism in Loganville at this hole in the wall! Total waste of time! Not even worthy of a star.

Just ate at Foggy Bottom tonight. I've eaten BBQ in just about every state that serves it and let me tell you this is the best I've had. If you've read some of the reviews from April and May that were less than flattering.....disregard them! They really have their act together. We decided to try a sampling of the menu and we were not disappointed with a single selection. We started with their Mac & Cheese Bites - Gouda cheese....they were fantastic! Unique flavor you've got to try. Next up were the Fried Ribs. If you try nothing else....you've got to try these! Unlike fried chicken batter...this batter is a cajun season mix. The coating was crispy and the ribs were moist and juicy with a smoky flavor you've got to taste to believe. For dinner we decided to try the brisket and the pulled pork. The brisket was extremely moist and juicy with a great smoky flavor. My wife had the pulled pork and it was fantastic. I've been smoking BBQ for years so believe me when I say they're doing it right! For sides we did the Mac & Cheese, Brunswick Stew, and Beans. The three cheese Mac & cheese was spot on. It did not have the oil and was not as heavy as the Mac & Cheese at the other BBQ favorite I frequent. The Brunswick stew was right up there with the best I've had. Next trip I'm going to try the hamburger that is made with a mixture of ground beef and short-ribs!

The first time we walked into Foggy Bottom BBQ was a good experience. Right away we were told to sit in the waiting area which was a nice screened in porch with rocking chairs. My daughter and I played corn hole which made the wait go by much faster. The atmosphere was really nice and they seemed to have expanded the place since our last visit to when the location was another BBQ joint. The waiting was short and enjoyable since we had something to do to pass the time. However the wait for the food wasn't as short. During the wait we started realizing they were running out of things and having to ask patrons to change some of their side orders to acid ate their running out of certain items. There were no more fries, so we had to order different sides, but when our food came out it was delicious! The BBQ was very tasty, and the Mac&Cheese was great! Overall, Foggy Bottom BBQ was a pretty good restaurant and we'll likely give it another try.
