Okay, so after a few visits I've finally figured this place out. This place is a 4-star panaderia and a 2-star pupuseria. The Good: The bakery is extensive and delicious. So many delicious Salvadoran baked goods to choose from including, but not limited to quesdillas (Salvadoreña), orejas, peperechas, y Maria Luisas. You can also pick up choco bananas or a bag of frozen jocotes or loroco from their freezer section. The Bad: I ordered a pupusa revuelta, pupusa con loroco, and a tamale de elote. The pupusa revuelta tasted like it was stuffed with beans...which defeats the purpose of anything 'revuelta'. The salsa de tomate was too watery, and by that, I mean almost entirely water - like agua de tomate. On the flip slide, my boyfriend said his tamale de pollo was too dry. The rest of the food was alright. So there's some refining to be had. The Dour: The manager is a very friendly gentleman, but the rest of the wait staff is downright dour, so if you're wanting service with a smile - it ain't gonna happen. So, come on in and get the pan to go!
