The first time I tried this place was the Buford Hwy location. This place never fails me when it comes to tacos. They have the best and the cheapest. I love love love this place for authentic mexican food. It is good and cheap. Now I go to the Pleasant Hill location since it is closer to my house. And they taste the same. My friend bought the Asada fries loaded and they were so good and so filling. We couldn't finish it all. The portions were huge and they load those fries with toppings! I always get 4-5 tacos since they are pretty small (maybe 2-3 bites) with different meats in each one. Pack that thing with lime, cilantro, onions, and hot sauce. OMGOSH... so good. It can get really busy here and they do have good amount of seatings, but when they were really packed it can get hard to find seats. There's always enough parking for this location.

This place is my go-to Mexican resturant when I'm feeling anxious and/or sad and I just need some girl time with my food. Macho burrito with extra meat and extra cheese!! HUGE portion and less than $10. Did I mention $1.75 tacos??!?! Yeah this place not only has great prices but taste pretty darn good! Does the trick everytime! Now this place is far from fancy and from the exterior just looks like a small dinky diner but goodness, food comes out quick and has never been disapponting.

Tacos was good.. Got the carne asada & barbacoa. At $1.49 a taco, can't really complain.

Had the burrito al pastor....again was not dissapointed wifey had the burrito mojado asada... big ol burrito she couldn't finish it had to bring it home every order comes with freshly fried chips which are excellent. ..the salsas are extremely delicious n chiles are good as well along with agua de horchata which in my opinion was watered down too much other then that good fast food Mexican style

Got two Asada tacos and one sopito asada and order of fries. everything came out hot and fresh.

I went here for lunch with my mom the other day. I ordered a ceviche tostada, a carne asada taco and a pastor taco. My mom had 2 lengua tacos and a carne asada taco. Our bill came out to be a little less than $10 which isn't bad. I thought it would be enough food for us but we ended up ordering 3 more tacos after we finished our first order of food. The ceviche tostada was ok. It was cooling and refreshing because of the cucumbers in it but I've had better. The tacos were good. I tried lengua (beef tongue) for the first time and it was actually really good. The thought of beef tongue just sounds gross to me but it was very flavorful and tender. The asada and pastor tacos were also flavorful. The tacos were a little on the small side to me but they were good. Food came out quick. I'd probably be back for the tacos.

This place is delicious! They have the best steak/cheese quesadillas, and their home made pickled jalapenos and veges are delicious. I've also tried their combo platters that include rice, beans, and tacos. Their service is great, and people here are pretty friendly. The best part of this place is that they have a drive thru. :) Muchas gracias!

With so many Mexican restaurants in this area it's hard to stand out. This one stands out. Just good food plain and simple. Fresh ingredients, well seasoned, good portions. I'll go out of my way to eat here. I'll pass 15 other places to eat here.

First time eating here. This place is prett my good. I would compare this place to a Moe's or Chipotle but a little better. Food: I had there chicken burrito. The burrito was pretty big, not as big as Moe's or Chipotle. And it didn't have all the filling that these others store had but that flavor was better. The only thing it was missing was a little more seasoning. It came with a a handful of chips, they were ok. I also ordered a Queso dip. It was pretty good and it also came with a handful of chips. Price: The price was a little bit up there for what you got. For the chicken burrito and Queso with water, the price was around $11. Atmosphere: The restaurant was a little dingy and could use a little sprucing up. Overall: I would give this place a 3.5/5. I would definitely come back and try something else. I would probably choose this place over some other chain restaurants.

There is a G-d, and his name is Don Pedro. Picture this....a drive thru window for the best $1.35 tacos of your life. Fast food just became awesome. Don Pedro is our go to place for 1 night a week. The Norcross location is equally awesome, but no drive thru. It is too bad that they don't offer seafood tacos, but it is a good thing. I would need a 12 step program to stay out that place if that were the case.

Excellent Mexican food for a great price. You can tell it's great Mexican food if there are always Mexicans eating there (which there are). This place is NOTHING LIKE MOE's OR CHIPOTLE! The only thing they have in common is that this place used to be a Moe's (and they have a drive-thru because of that). I can't believe someone compared this place to Moe's and Chipotle. That's ludicrous! The tacos are great. I've also eaten the sopes and the mulitas. They were all great. You'll never find anything like this at Moe's. This is a great, everyday Mexican restaurant.

The food was good but kind of heavy as in greasy but good nonetheless! Get the chicken tacos. They are a little heavy on the onions but they are good for you just not for your breathe!

Menudo soup is fantastic. I haven't had much of anything else at either of their locations b/c I'm so stuck on this dish. Tacos are pretty good, and you can dress it up using their salsa bar.

I rolled through for lunch and selected the 22 beef burrito. What a surprise when I got back to the office. The food was delicious, good shredded beef in the burrito and the pickle carrots with japs was a wonderful surprise. This is good mex food.

  • Wavydavy ..

The food here is better than the other don pedro locations in my opinion. I enjoy that they always have tropical juices as an option away from the soda machines. Their burritos and tacos are cheap and delicious but i prefer their carne asada nachos best.

Back in the day, this Don Pedro was a Moe's. The food has undergone a significant upgrade in its current form. I've only been once so far, but I can guarantee it won't be my last visit. I opted for the lengua taco and the carne asada taco, along with some rice and beans. I always think the beans at a Mexican restaurant are a good sign of the rest of the food, and I would have eaten these until I popped. If I had chips, salsa, and a big bowl of these beans, I'm pretty sure I could be happy for a few days. Although I'd probably want to avoid elevators or road trips. Anyway, as good as the beans were, the tacos were even better. I limited myself to two because it seemed like the right thing to do, but I'd like to go back and do a taco sampler of all the tacos on the menu, because they were just so darn good. I didn't feel like I needed to add salsa to the carne asada, but the tongue did need a little bit of a kick in the pants to make it perfect for my palate. Both meats were cooked very well, with good flavor and texture. The lengua was surprisingly tender, in fact. Definitely worth a stop - they even have a drive through if you want to try to eat a soft corn tortilla taco while driving down the road. But I'd recommend you go inside so you can enjoy the salsa bar!

I only have one word for this place....Gross!!! This place is one of the first "Mexican" food places I've tried when first moving to Atlanta. I'm really surprised by all the positive reviews because the food left me speechless, and not in a good way. We ordered really simple entrees, chicken and shrimp fajitas. Who can screw that up? Don Pedro, that's who! The chicken and shrimp were swimming in tomato sauce. It was almost the consistency of a stew with a side of tortillas! Last time I checked fajitas are grilled and not cooked in a tomato sauce. You're better off going down the street to Kiko's on club drive.

Unfortunately mediocre at best! I tried this place because of the good Yelp reviews but I was disappointed. I had the Chiliquiles with steak and it was quite bland. The rice, refried beans, and tortillas were also nothing special. The place it self was clean and the counter people were nice.

My love for Don Pedro's is so dangerous. Im a white American and my girlfriend is Asian, it's always interesting walking in to a restaurant full of Mexicans. You know it's authentic there when you're in a Mexican restaurant and it's loaded with it's own people. I've had legit Mexican food in Mexico and San Antonio, and this place is up there in my ranks. I've been here at least 5 or 6 times and it's always as delicious as the last time. I usually get their loco burrito which is a huge burrito with nachos around it, for under 8 bucks with a drink. Such a good deal! I sometimes opt for the quesadilla or the Huervos rancheros, all super tasty. My girlfriend usually gets their tacos, loves em. The service is quick and it's a casual place, sometimes not the cleanest but it's fine, the food is bomb so who cares. It gets really busy and loud on Sunday lunches. Overall, this place is awesome sauce, pretty inexpensive and delicious. They give you fairly large portions and the salsa bar is worth it itself. That green sauce is a masterpiece, I usually go through two or three sauce cups of it myself. If you're deciding between here and fontera or on the border or one of those American Mexican chains, GO here it's worth it!!

I have done drive through here a few times. The breakfast burrito was mediocre at best, but the Pastor Burrito was very good. That said, I had not been here in a while. I recently saw a number of Yelpers who's reviews I both follow and trust note the premium salsa bar. Therefore after a workout at the gym next door, I decided to try out their tacos. I had one pastor, two Asada, and one cabeza (Shredded beef). The Pastor and Asada were both awesome and I will get both again. The tacos ($1.25) seemed perhaps just a little bit larger them the ones ($1.19) that I get at Gallo Giro. The tortillas are perfectly crispy. But the most important thing is that as the yelp reviews dictated the salsa bar is solid. There are like 5 different types of salsa. One of which is the creamy green style. I always like the creamy green. The creamy green can be VERY spicy at some joints. Here it is just medium in spice. I will be back here to try some other things on the menu. Having been to Buford location once, I was expecting more of a dive, but the inside was clean with many booths. I'll be back again soon.

I got 2 chicken and one steak taco, rice and beans and spicy pork toastada Omg it was all delicious. I ate everything despite the fact I was stuffed. The tacos are a good size, not stingy at all with the meat.

Craving some real mex did this evening..so, Don Pedro seemed like a great idea. At first the menu from the indoor line looked authentic so I couldn't wait to order. Unfortunately, their just not flexible enough for a vegetarian who just wants bean supreme tacos. Broke my heart, they definitely lost a future repeat customer. It's hard to find that authenticity (mex rice and beans with the green onion) on that side of town. It wasn't the cleanest restaurant, but it was cool to see the diversity of customers. Who doesn't serve bean tacos, if that's your request? I explained that I'm vegetarian and how is there problem with just making tacos with no meat just beans? Taco bell wouldv'e hooked it up! The attendant checked with the guy next to her on other register, they consult each other in espangnol and then she tells me..no just meat. I started to just get sides, but felt like wow! Who let's a potential customer walk out of the door?? Anyhow, will see if authenticity can keep up with the times. It is a business and could be a better business if it catered to ALL consumers in its community.

Yummy so far. We've had the steak tacos, steak burrito (our favorite), and steak sopes. Tacos are small, so order more than one if you're hungry. Burrito is a good size, my husband and I usually order just one and split it, I think half is pretty filling if you're not a big eater. The sopes are filling, too! One sope is filling enough for me. Yummy, yummy. We've never been inside, only been through the drive-thru. Just note the wait time for the drive-thru is a bit longer than regular fast food places, but I think it's worth it. The chips, and green & red salsa that come with your order are also delish. This is not the healthiest place to eat, but it sure hits the "spot" for us when we crave Mexican! Haven't tried anything else on their menu so my review is basically of those three things. Lol :)

I'm in love with Don Pedro. The restaurant! Not the person. Though, I'm sure he's quite wonderful as well. Ever since leaving California, eight years ago...there has been a void in my culinary world. And then, Don Pedro, came into my life. The food is always so flavorful and they have Mexico made glass bottle coca cola. When I'm there...I can eat as much as a burro. It just so good! Try the asada torta or rolled tacos. Delicious!

Awesome tacos at any one of their establishments. Carne asada is goid too. So are the huevos rancheros. I have been here over 20 times. It is my go to taco place. Their pastor tacos are not exactly traditional because they aren't burnt and crispy on the outside. But they are good.

We were drawn in by the idea of delicious $1.19 tacos and the comfort of catching up with wonderful friends on a rainy day. I've been to the location on Buford Highway several times for their $0.99 tacos and get a craving for it every once in a while. This location is a lot bigger and cleaner, but they still have the same salsa bar. They have a sign up stating that the first two sauces are free, and any additional would cost extra. I didn't see it enforced though. Aside from that, there are a couple of different hot sauces on each table. After a while, one of my friends and I were still waiting for our orders, so we stuck around close to the counter. We were drooling at all the food that came out before ours and I instantly regretted sticking to just a few tacos by that point. The beef tongue taco was SO tender and definitely a favorite of mine -- it's a MUST TRY! Unlike the BuHi location, there's plenty of parking and the lot is low-car friendly.

This is my go to mexican place when I want authentic mexican food. THey have lots of diferent meats for their tacos. The best part is the salsa bar. Great pica de gallo and they even have an avacado salsa.. Really good place.. definitely go here.

This is another place on my list for cheap and convenient eats. I never was a mexican food fan, nor am I now. I like this place because I heard: "1.50 tacos, any kind." from my friend one day. I must say, I love the steak tacos here, because I got 4 last time and they are quite filling. I want to give nachos a try, because they also looked good. Everything else on the menu looks enticing, but a heaping plate of food just makes my mind sick because I'm use to tiny portions. The steak tacos were flavorful, and just right. It was also my first time having corn tortillas also. Not sure how I feel on that, it just needs more flavor. Giving this place more visits later on.

I absolutely LOVE this place! So does my entire family! I have posted pics of those delicious Steak Tacos (that are only $1.35 each) on facebook and now I have friends calling me for "lunch dates", reminding me to bring those tacos!!! The service is awesome with a smile. Clean and plenty of space to enjoy your meal! My family says Thank youuuuuu!!!!!!

This place is so awesome. I've been several times with the last time being yesterday for lunch. The food is inexpensive yet the quality is always fresh and hot. I'm almost done trying everything on their menu. My favs so far are the steak tacos and steak burrito. The burrito is so huge I always save the other half to eat the next day. The meat is always seasoned perfectly and the people who work there are always friendly and accommodating. I love this place and can totally understand why they are always crowded.

Well I could'nt leave this place well enough alone. So I ventured back to checkout something else menu-wise. I had to sample the different flavorful items they had to drink. l like the Horchata and Pina beverages. The Mango was a bit too sweet for me. I must say the Horchata seemed more like a liquid dessert of sorts than a regular drink item. It consists of rice, vanilla, and cinamon. It is indeed a tasty drink. Worthy of a togo cup(large). I liked the Pina as well however, it was not as startling as the Horchata. I had a number 4 with chicken. It was not too memorable. I must mention that it was much better than most any regular run of the mill tex-mex establishment. I have had the number 7 (burrito) before and I really liked it. The number 7 was more filling than the number 4. What I need to do is observe and order menu items that the regulars get. Perhaps, I should try the shrimp cocktail on my next visit. It seemed to be a popular item. All of the say es are great! "I'll Be Back!" 64/100

The don pedros on buford hwy (10 min away from this one) is SOOO much better. Not so much location wiss, but the buford hwy one has better food and is WAY cleaner. I come to this one every once in a while just out of convenience and I always regret not making the 10 min trip to the one on buford hwy. The one advantage they have is that they have a drive thru.

Came here to try them out since they took over the old moe's building...I ordered a steak burrito aka Carne Asada...(TooSalty4me) Service thru drive thru was a bit slow...................... Big menu with combos galore..you get a small paper bag of crispy tortilla chips added to your to go order for free. If i feel the need for mexican again.... I will head further up to beaver ruin where they are cheaper and a better to me. Sorry Don gets no more of my pesos!

All I can say is that I was truly surprised by Don Pedro. I've driven by this place so many times and was never curious on trying it out. I personally love Mexican food! Specially authentic Mexican food! The tacos here are the small tortilla tacos with double tortillas and a good handful of meat. I tried the carne asada and apastor tacos and they were great! Juicy tendered steak and pork! The salsa bar is great! Fresh limes, salsas, and pico de gallo! Overall for my first time I absolutely loved it. Soft drinks have free refills and fruit waters are also free! Very rare you get that at other Mexican joints. I definitely recommend Don Pedro for anyone looking for some great authentic tacos and Mexican dishes! Place was pretty clean and restrooms were also well taken care of. Huge plus!!

I've been here multiple times and each visit has never been disappointing. Their tacos are very tasty. From pork, chicken, or steak..all is pretty good. My favorite is the al pastor(pork). It has pieces of pineapple in it, which makes it interesting. The macho burrito is massive! Soooo good and easily split between two. The regular burrito is also really good. They really stuff it to the max. The quesadilla is one of my faves. It's enough for both lunch and dinner for me. Their salsa bar is ok. I tend to over sauce every time we come here. It's kind of hard for me not to lol bc it's just there. The pico de gallo and the pickled carrots and jalapenos are really good too. They get pretty packed in most nights so they must be doing something right. They definitely hit the spot for my and my husband's cravings.

Came here with my cousin and a friend for a quick meal before going to work. This place is located on the intersection of club drive and pleasant hill. We ordered one of each taco except for tongue and our total came to $8 which filled up two people. The price is really good for what we got. They have a salsa bar with many different salsas, but the tacos are so good they didn't even need any extra salsa. We weren't sure which taco had which meat but they were all good anyways. A bit spicy but perfect for me. The drinks were a little watered down. There were a lot of tables that were empty but sitting dirty. We had to search around for a clean table but the food was cheap, quick, and delicious and made up coming here worth it. I would definitely recommend the tacos.

We just moved back to Atlanta from Florida and were so happy to find and inexpensive and delicious Mexican taqueria. We have had the nachos, tacos, and ceviche. The tacos are by far the best thing we had and have gone back several times just to get them. The steak tacos are our favorite. The nachos were just okay partly because I don't like queso on my nachos. The ceviche was not spicy and had a lot of seafood but my husband claims it made his stomach upset. This place is a gem and I definitely recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive restaurant with great authentic Mexican food.

This was my first time eating at Don Pedro's. The service was quick and courteous. The chef included the incorrect type of meat with my order of the "Macho Burrito." I returned the dish and with no hassle a new, accurate dish was prepared. My food was bland. The burrito dish was topped with stale tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, and powered cheese. The meat within the burrito was brisket-like (which is expected when eating "authentic" Mexican cuisine). The meat was well cooked, but lacked flavor. The rice and refried beans (whole beans, not bean paste) were also cooked properly but lacked any flavor. Unfortunately the combination of the few present flavors was more distracting than complementing. I think some of the cheese inside the burrito was colby jack--odd for a Mexican dish. My girlfriend had a chicken quesadilla. She enjoyed her dish. I sampled the quesadilla and found it flavorful. She agreed with my assessment of "bland" upon sampling my dish.

I relocated from Chicago in 2011 and moved to Doraville because it has the largest hispanic population in Georgia. Couldn't live here without my real Mexican food or Panaderia, both of which were found on Bufford Highway. Then in 2012 moved to Stone Mountain and there wasn't anything I liked until I stumbled upon Don Pedro's on Pleasant Hill Road after finding a job in Duluth. The menu offers you an abundance of comida that is as real as you can get. I stop here at least 2 times a week for my carne asada burrito (#6) and 2 tacos de pollo to take home for dinner. If traffic is heavy I opt to dine in and partake in their salsa bar which has pico de gallo and my fav, sliced jalepenos and carrots, free refills on drinks. Wish they would open one on 78 (Stone Mtn. Hiway in Snellville).

This place had started off good. Still has good customer service; however, the most important factor is lacking quality: MEAT.

Finally got around to trying the sister store to the Don Pedro located on Buford Hwy. This place is counter service only just like the original location but it's definitely more spacious and looks less run down. Cashier was friendly. The tacos and horchata here are addictive. Just a heads up, they are the soft corn tacos. At $1.19 a taco, they are deceitfully small looking yet so filling. I am usually stuffed after 3. That's less than $4 for lunch! This time around I got the steak, spicy pork, and beef tongue. All of it was delicious. Love the self serve salsa and pickled carrots/jalapenos bar. I couldn't help eyeing the other patrons' entrees. The carne asada and whole fried fish looked delicious! I'll definitely have to remember to order these next time.

The best thing about this place is the Fanta Grape at the fountain. I had the enchiladas mexicanas and it was not good. The enchiladas tasted canned along with the sauce. the chicken inside the enchiladas was dry and void of taste. I won't be coming back.

I went there yesterday because my friend and I were looking for something that was priced reasonably. I have seen the place many times when driving along pleasant hill and I'm always looking for a place to get a good torta. The restaurant was quick clean and I saw that there was someone going around to make sure the table tops got sprayed. There was plenty of seating so that wouldn't be an issue. You order at the counter and they call your ticket number when ready but if you're in a big hurry, I suggest going through the drive-thru. Our meals took 5 minutes at most, but there were only about 10 other customers in the restaurant at the time. My friend and I got the spicy beef torta and spicy pork burrito to split. Coming in just under 6 dollars each, I'd say that we were both content to with the size of our meals. The burrito came with a handful of chips, which gave us a medium to try several salsas at the salsa bar. There was also a pico de gallo and a pickled carrot, onion, and jalapeno mixture that was very tasty. Both the meats were very tender and flavorful. The bread for the torta wasn't as flaky as I like but was very absorbent of the mixture on top. There were a variety of drinks that looked fresh made; however, due to our need to eat quickly I didn't get any of them. I would say that this an average quick Mexican meal. I would come back again because of it's proximity to my apartment but not specifically because the food is great.

Emm..the food wasn't very good. I didn't like the steak tacos from here the flavor was bland. I ordered the chicken burrito plate and it was decent ...tasted like something one would find from a Taco Bell location.

Awesome, simple, authentic tacos. Just like the ones I ate while living in Mexico for two years. The place is super simple and clean. The menu is straightforward and well-priced. Not sure what it's like in the evening, but during lunchtime it's pleasantly full yet still fast enough. ¡Bien hecho!

What a great taqueria! Fast food at its best, salsa bar is exceptional. Great selection of all Mexican fare and very reasonable.

Like seriously, these were some of the best tacos I have had from a Mexican restaurant in a long time. My boo bear took me here for the first time Saturday, he said this was some of the best Mexican food in Georgia. So initially was like suuuure since we all know men exaggerate but for the most part, he knows good food. So I order two chicken tacos, and have not been the same since. The taco meat is well seasoned unlike other Mexican restaurants and they have a salsa bar, so you can add all the condiments you like. Now I haven't had anything else from there except tacos but my boo bear says everything he has had was great! Also the food might be a little spicy for some, but that's how I like it! I've been there two days in a row now, and I am trying to stop myself from going there today. This will definitely be a new go to spot for me!

Overall 3 stars. We came in a little after 11:30PM and they told us we can only get it to-go since they close at 12 .. -1 star .. ..I'm sorry but I can inhale a few tacos under 30 mins ..and besides ..there was at least 30+ people still eating inside the restaurant..been in the restaurant industry before and I don't like it when people come in super late either ....but we still took the last customer in (letting them stay in and eat there) as long as they come in "before the designated closing time" ..just a FYI for you yelpers ...if you want to eat in the restaurant.. What can I say...sometimes it's just better to eat the food there ..1). you won't get soggy tacos from the condensation of steam inside the plastic styrofoam ..2). freshness....fresh is usually almost always better... Now that that's out of the way... I got some carne asada tacos "to go" Personally, for carne asada tacos, I still like my mom and pop shop (Taqueria Vallarta) across the street. Why? I think the flavoring is better Don Pedro today was heavy on the cebolla to cilantro ratio Their meat wasn't as flavorful ..and definitely not as juicy-tasting. Other things: Open later that those other "authentic" taco places Salsa bar that includes 4(?) different sauces ..pico de gallo..lime and pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños Free refills on the drinks including the horchata and tropical fruit juices .. (Yes I drank a whole cup of horchata before my meal was ready so I can get it refilled) Pretty extensive menu ..but no fish tacos..they have a whole fried fish dish (tilapia I think?) ...but no fish tacos ..

5 stars for authentic mexican cooking. Tried all the beef/chicken tacos and they were very good. Also, tried some other menu items...can't remember what exactly and they were good too. But this place won't disappoint if you're looking for a quick mexican fix. White people rejoice.

This place is always busy. I passed by this Don Pedro several times and one night I finally decided to try it out because I always see it's busy. It's a Mexican restaurant and has great food. I had their steak tacos and it was so yummy and cheap, like $1.09 each or something. The atmosphere is casual and great for Friday night eat.

Best place to get tacos in Georgia. Reminds me of some places in san diego. Great price for a good portion of food. I always get the cabeza and legua tacos. Only downside, i wish they stayed open later.

The steak and chicken tacos for $1.19 are so tasty! I've never tried anything else from there because I only come for the tacos. I love that there's a drive thru also. I used to go to the Buford highway location, but the cashiers didn't speak English well. At this location, the workers speak great English, and they're friendly also!

I always get their beef tacos! They are so delicious and come with all of the right things, salsa and lime! I've lost my taste for taco bell after having the tacos here. They have a really nice salsa bar and the restaurant is really clean. The service is really good too and you can't beat their prices. I wouldn't recommend getting the tacos to go though through the drive through because they get really soggy in the boxes. If you have the time go inside to eat. I've tried a few of their other tacos as well and beef is definitely the best, followed by tongue.

This place is awesome! The feel of a fast food restaurant, with the taste of real authentic Mexican food! It's not pricey and did I mention that the food is amazing?!? I'm Mexican-American from Southwest Texas, where it doesn't get anymore authentic, but this is the most authentic Mexican food in Georgia... Hands down!

Great food with real unique taste! Doesn't taste like Taco Bell or other chain restaurants that are not really authentic Mexican food.

Excellent value for a tasty and fresh meal. We stopped in before the dinner hour but there were plenty of happy people eating. The spicy beef tacos were perfect. A generous and tender filling, topped with cilantro and onions. The tortillas were great too. Three was more than enough. Asked for a side of beans and it was a whole plate- and only $1.60 and really delicious. Husband had the menudo, tripe soup I think, not my cup of tea but he enjoyed it. We will be back for sure!

The food is good, but the cashiers are not friendly. Their fruit drinks are way too sweet. The steak tacos and nachos are great.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
