Always a yummy experience. I always get the quarter chicken meal with the fried okra and one of their sides of the day. Make sure to get their bbq sauce for the meat and ranch for the okra.

Had a hankering for some Q; checked Yelp and decided to give this place a whirl, ordered the two meat combo which consisted of ribs and brisket, for the sides I chose the fried corn fritters and buttered cabbage, loved the cabbage & fritters with ranch dipping sauce. The ribs were smoky in flavor and tender but kind of heavy on the rub (salty) the brisket had a good crust/bark but kind of fatty; still managed to be quite flavorful, my only complaint is, I didn't get any type of bread/roll with my meal :*( I tried the hickory bbq sauce and the carolina mustard based sauce, both okay. I also ordered the banana pudding, jury still out on it since I'm too full to eat it, I will update when I do.The service was great, friendly and hospitable, server tried to sell me on the grape lemonade but I've been mixing grape kool-ade with lemonade since I was a kid, I still mix it in my water bottle using drink mixes that are low in sugar, overall, a great meal & I have left~overs to boot.

Pretty good BBQ spot. Brisket was moist and tender and the Ribs are really fall off the bone. I got the 2 meat platter with baked beans and fried corn nuggets. The corn nuggets with ranch was really good. Baked beans was not bad. I also got 6 wings tossed in the Sweet and tangy sauce.....Nice size wings and they were smoked well and cooked to the bone like they should be. They weren't bad to me but not to die for.......PLUS THEY GIVE A MILITARY DISCOUNT........ I will be back. And they deliver....

My wife and I had stopped here the night before but they were closed, so we tried today and man it was worth it we had the turkey meal special w/ Grape lemonade you heard me right and it was bangin lol. The staff was very helpful and kind. We took our peach cobbler for the road, but had a little taste at the restaurant, let's just say I don't know Ms. Willie Jewell's, but I sure thought that my mom was in the kitchen. I looked up there were 2 guys in there. Lol I recommend the restaurant in using ice cream instead of whip cream and cut the stems on the collard green.mmmmm good

YUMMMMMMMMY. This is definitely worth a detour from the highway. Platter of BBQ is well prepared. The sides were freshly prepared. Great sauce with a mustard base and a kick. Sam Adams to wash it all down. Check them out online. Damn good.

This is a nice little BBQ place tucked in a strip shopping center with excellent service, but only good (not amazing or even fantastic) bbq. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch off I-95 and it was fairly quiet. I had a brisket/sausage sandwich and the deep-fried corn. My wife had straight brisky sandwich, son 1 had brisky plate, son 2 had pork plate and daughter had chicken. All were cooked fairly well, but none had any smoke at all. There's a large Southern Pride gas cooker immediately behind the counter and that was my first clue that I wasn't going to get much. I will warn that I've eaten BBQ in every corner of the country and am a certified KCBS judge, so I have pretty high standards. The meats were OK, the corn was actually pretty good. The service was particularly friendly here and I give them really high marks to making sure our family could eat outside on their patio (we had the dog with us on the roadtrip and we didn't want to leave her in the car while we ate). They moved all the sauces and condiments and napkins outside along with our food for us. So they get big props for being accommodating. I just wish their BBQ had more flavor. Just a thought: I read reviews on the Grape Lemonade and I tried a sip before I committed to the whole cup. Do that. It wasn't my taste. I guess some people love it. I found it too tart. Sweet tea was a better choice for me.

Excellent ribs that are smoked to a fork tender consistency. The sides are great as well, which deepened my conviction that if the sides are good, the mains are usually up to expectations. Be mindful if the menu says 1/3, 1/2, or 1, it refers to the weight. I ordered a 1/2lb ribs thinking its 1/2 rack. Comes with 2 sides too. Nevertheless, it was a satisfying meal.

I got the brisket dinner. The chopped brisket was very fatty and not overly flavorful. Everything else was pretty good. I hope I just caught them on a bad brisket night.

Came here for lunch the other day. Staff was very friendly. You order your food at the register, grab a seat, and then your food is brought to you. The sauces are in the back. I got the beef brisket sandwich with two sides: fried pickles and mac&cheese. The sandwich was delicious, nice and messy as BBQ should be. The m&c was a little watery, but the sandwich was so good, the rest didn't matter.

I was very impressed with this BBQ place! It's like a Shane's rib shack with more sauces and a larger menu. The brisket, pork, baked beans and corn fritters were my favorite. 4 sauces: red, sticky sweet, classic mustard and mustard with a kick - all good, but the sticky was my favorite. They also have this grape juice lemonade that is really really good. Nice bar with two flat screen TVs and 4 domestic beers on draft. Definitely recommend it

Not a fan of the St. Louis ribs. It has the dry rub over them which I couldn't stand the flavor. The baked beans were okay but tasted like they came out of the can. The coleslaw was good. With the great rating, I took a chance. Oh well. The staff was friendly.

American Cheese is NOT cheddar cheese. Correct you menus. Are here today and ordered the Bo Hawg. The menu says it has cheddar cheese on it but the sandwich I got had American cheese. Sorry, I find American cheese to be nasty and would not have ordered this if I had known the truth. That aside, I have given it a fairly high rating because everything else was good. Side dishes were better than most barbecue places. Baked beans were very good. They put some of the pulled pork trimmings in with the beams which make it very tasty. Iced tea tastes a little bit like swamp water, but that is to be expected in the low lands of Georgia. I would definitely come back to this place. Let me clarify by saying my last visit here I warded the beef brisket sandwich. The beef was cut way too thick and had too much fat. I would deathly not order the beef brisket sandwich here. I would order anything else on the menu. Also, as a sidenote, when you go back to the bathrooms the doors are dirty and nasty. A little housecleaning would go a long way. It looks like the cooks in the kitchen go to the bathroom and get the door dirty and never Clean it.

Willie Jewel's is little gem of a bbq joint in Kingsland,Ga! As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with southern hospitality! The decor is a Pinterest win! They have refurbished hardware and distressed wood that creates a cozy pottery barn meets bbq decor! They are known for their grape lemonade which is well...awesome! Today I had the brisket sandwich on Texas toast with Mac n cheese and onion rings. Not a huge fan of the o-rings...pretty sure they were frozen! The Mac n cheese was creamy but nothing to write home about. My husband had the pork sandwich with fries and corn nuggets. The nuggets were awesome! The fries were hot and crispy! Both of our sandwich had a healthy portion of juicy meat! Sauces are pretty good and the ranch taste like it was from scratch! Overall good job! Excited to learn they are opening a location closer to our home front in Yulee florida...mid Sept.

OLD SCHOOL YUM!! williejewells.com We were visiting my boyfriend's family in Georgia and we were looking for a place to meet them for lunch. When I read reviews on various websites, I was hoping they would pick this place. When you first walk in there is a board to order off of. The only thing that I do not like about that is when there are several people behind you, you tend to feel rushed and don't get a chance to really see the menu and all its offerings. But we already had an idea what we wanted. The wings were suggested (plain and simple) so you can enjoy the "sauce bar" They have some delicious sauces. I only wish I had bought some to bring back to Florida. We ordered the platters, which was way more food that we could handle especially after eating 6 chicken wings a piece. 2 meat combo of pulled pork and beef brisket was delicious. Full of flavor and so tender. The collards and fried okra were full of southern style goodness. The staff are all very friendly. There is not really waiter/waitress ordering (just bring the food out and refills of drinks) but they are very attentive and they even gave my boyfriend a free beer after we had already paid for our group. He would not take the money, so we just left extra in the tip to cover it. We will definitely be back whenever we are in Kingsland, GA. Heard they are building one in Yulee. What caught our eye was the $1 Yeungling drafts advertised on a billboard. This place is the way that BBQ was meant to be!

Willie Jewell's is an okay place to get BBQ, but don't set your expectations too high. I had a BBQ pork sandwich with mac and cheese on the side. They use toast instead of buns and the BBQ is essentially pulled pork. The sandwich itself is pretty good. The meat was a bit dry, but the sauce helped with that. The mac and cheese was utterly disgusting, something like Kraft. I had water with my meal and it tasted like swamp water, so apparently they don't filter it. The prices aren't great, either. $7.49 for a sandwich with a side. Not terrible, but not great. I also had a chocolate chip cookie, and it was fine, but it didn't seem homemade. I don't think I'd go again, but there's definitely worse food in the area.

Found this place on a road trip. Glad we did. The brisket was so moist and well cooked. Pulled pork was great. The mac-n-cheese and fried pickles were pretty good too. The only negative is the sauces, I prefer hotter than they had, but that's a minor thing. The people are very nice and the decor is typical BBQ Restaurant. This is definitely a place to check out if you're in Brunswick, GA.

Great BBQ! Old school style with great hospitality. Had the pulled pork meal with slaw and fries. Nice choice of sauces. Waitresses were friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again.

This is surprisingly authentic and tasty BBQ restaurant located in a modern store front shopping mall. The brisket was tender and smoky, generous servings. Wonderful fried corn on the cob and a great selection of BBQ sauces. We'll be back!

I don't give five stars unless something is truly on par with the best in its class nationwide. So 5 star Q will be reserved for those places where the volume is so high that meat comes right off the smoker onto the plate. Without doing that there is no way to obtain the ultimate Q. However, compared to the vast amount of BBQ not in that class Willie Jewel's is among the very best. The pulled pork is moist and has excellent flavor. The wings are big and meaty. Portions are generous and prices are fair. They have a patio outside if you have your dog. The drink station is another plus. Fresh steeped sweat tea with sliced lemon. Their signature grape lemonade also delivers. The sauces are fair, they have two mustard based and two others; one traditional and one sweet. I thought the traditional was too sweet which gives you no great options if you don' like sweet or mustard based. Overall a great experience . If you are in Georgia get off at exit 3 which is the second exit from the Florida border and head past Sonny's another quarter mile and Willie Jewell's will be on your left. Stop in; you'll be glad you did.

From the smell when I opened the door to the time we left... great BBQ! The ribs were fall off the bone and the brisket was amazing. The green beans were a wow! Don't leave without trying the grape lemonade.
