Friendly staff but tasteless food only thing that had flavor was the chicken, I wouldn't go back, cafeteria food taste better than what they serve here.

I am a regular here because I find it delicious and the staff and patrons are wonderful! My 5 stars isn't for top notch fancy food but for the home cooking deliciousness I crave weekly. What I like is being able to have a couple spoonfuls of everything rather than having to make choices. Love the faux crab salad, all broccoli dishes, warm and cold, are yummy. My newest fav is the fried sweet potatoes (yams) Wow! Even simple things like beans are great The booth seats were all replaced (that I mentioned in previous review). Place is kept clean. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Shout out to Teresa, Nicole, Judy, Renee and Leslie!

Came here for the first time today. Not really a buffet person but all the food was really good. Service was great and for the price this place is awesome.

This is a buffet for southern cooking. Reminds me of dinner with my family. Strictly home made. Limited selection of food compared to the larger buffets, but they have a rotating menu every day. Food was great, but, like my mother's fried chicken, it was rather greasy. I just used a napkin to take it off. A favorite for the locals, and the waitress gave it a personal touch.

This place compared to other Country buffet store is not good food at 4pm not very hot or fresh and is limited on selection. The food here could use some seasoning however the rib let's were prety good

I totally regret coming here the food in my opinion was not good at all!!! I seriously would of rather driving to Popeyes 4 miles away then eating here but since it was close I decided to give it a try, worst mistake ever! Only good thing is the price but now I see why it's so cheap

This is a little gem I found because of Yelp! It's a small town buffet with some great food and some not so great food. Try it and I'm sure you will find something you like. The roasted chicken was AWESOME... The Salisbury steak...not do much. The price? That's the best part. All you can eat and they don't take all of your money!

  • Chip C.

I have been to this place probably 10 times and it has yet to disappoint me!! The people are nice, the place is pretty clean, and the food is excellent... They have something for everyone... They always have 4 or 5 different desserts to choose from not counting the little tubs of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream... It's all you can eat... I don't really know what else to say!!! Go have lunch and see for yourself!!!! Wednesdays, they also have pork chops on the buffet!!! :)

Oh happy day! Donnie's has filled a void in Kennesaw's restaurant offerings! Fantastic meat and vegetable buffet with a great selection, and they are even kind enough to publish a weekly menu breakdown (Fried Green Tomatoes Monday is my favorite!) Less than $7 bucks a person which incluces your drink, with AYCE soup, salad bar, fresh veggies and several meat choices, not to mention ice cream, cakes, pie and hot cobbler. I hesitate to review it, cause I like keeping this place my little secret, but since word is already spreading fast, and the crowds seem to be growing, I thought I'd turn my Yelp friends on to the greatness!

  • Laurie S.

Excellent food for a really good price. Their choices are somewhat limited considering they're a buffet, but that's probably what allows them to have such a good price. Still love going there.

  • Amanda C.

Delicious! We were a little nervous when we first walked in, the place could use a little sprucing up. But their buffet was amazing! Tons of yummy southern food and the staff was really nice. We will be back!

A favorite of mine. Buffet with plenty of veggies. Different entrees each day. Friendly service. Large salad and desert bar with ice cream. Buffet includes drink and is only $8.00. They do take credit cards. I highly recommend Donnie's.

  • Jenna H.

My husband and I went to this place because we can walk there from our apartment. We live in an area that doesn't have too much culture, save the orange silhouette of the Home Depot from our apartment balcony. Well also, there's a cool graveyard. So much greasy amazingness in the buffet, no labels, jello garnished with pineapple slices and whip cream. You know what I'm talking about.

Donny's is not fancy. It's a simple, buffet style, all you can eat home cooking excursion that's hard to beat. Donny, the owner , runs a very clean place. The food is a great example that keeping it simple can work. They don't pretend to be what they aren't. What the are is a family-type establishment serving freshly prepared, quality food at a ridiculously low price ($7 per adult, drink & tax included). You'd be hard-pressed to get out anywhere near that price for the amount and quality food at other places. They always have multiple entrees and vegetable options, soup and salad bar, and multiple desert options. As a bonus, Donny offers free wifi. Donny may not have invented this concept, but he damned sure does it right.

  • Bradley D.

Donny's is good food for the price. I would compare the food here to cafeteria style restaurant like a Golden Corral or a Ryan's. There were a number of choices available and everything was good but not great. The price was exactly $7 per person after tax (that includes a drink). In my world that is a cheap dinner! As long as you know what to expect you'll be very happy that you stopped by Donny's.
