The best Pina Coladas! Food is great prices are great and portions are great. I love the jerk chicken wings, coconut shrimp, sweet corn cakes, and the banana bread dessert. I love the atmosphere, cool, and relaxing =]

Bahama Breeze reminds me of suburban restaurant chains like Applebee's, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday, and TGI Fridays except with a Caribbean theme. It's an American chain, popular with families, and the restaurants are designed to look like mini island resorts. This Bahama Breeze in Kennesaw on busy Barrett Parkway has been around for several years. It's not as nice as other Bahama Breeze locations I've seen (e.g. no palm trees outside), but it's still festively decorated inside with colorful floral patterns, airy architecture, and an enclosed patio complete with a mini fire pit. There are multiple areas of seating and live music at night during the weekend. I stopped in for a weekday lunch where salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, pork, fish, and shrimp entrees make up the majority of the menu. Expect to spend at least $10 at lunch, though you'll have to shell out a few dollars more for their specialty dishes like wood-grilled chicken and coconut shrimp. They also have a fresh fish of the day which you can wood-grilled, like the chicken, or sauteed. Dinner entrees can reach upwards of about $20 (filet mignon, lobster and shrimp linguini). Note all appetizers are half price during non-peak periods: Monday-Friday from 4-6pm and Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-close. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken entree ($13.99). Portion size was generous. It consisted of a half chicken, roasted, and was served with yellow rice, black beans, and plantains. The chicken wasn't bad. It was a little dry, but sufficiently marinated in jerk spices, so the flavoring was good. Spiciness level was mild. The rice and beans were OK, filling. The plantains were probably the best part of the meal. Plump, ripe, and sweet. My tablemates seemed satisfied with their orders. One person had the Cuban Sandwich, which looked decent. When you order a sandwich or burger, you get a choice of side from items such as fries or beans and rice. One of the more interesting sides is their fruit salad which comes with a Haagen-Dazs mango sorbet. I didn't try any, but it looked tasty. I'd give it a try if I came back. Another person had a lunch portion of the Coconut Shrimp, which were jumbo, breaded, and fried. It came with an ordinary-looking side salad. Service was satisfactory during a busy lunch hour. Bahama Breeze isn't located far from I-75 exit 269 (Barrett Parkway/Kennesaw), so it's easily accessible from the highway. The restaurant is in its own standalone building in front of the Town Center Commons shopping center with Dick's Sporting Goods, Original Mattress Factory, and Shane Co. Ample parking.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. When we arrived it was busy with a long wait for a table. So, we sat at the bar and glad we did because we got waited on before we could get comfortable in our seat. So customer service was A +. I ordered a the Key West Fish tacos with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes was so good that I wanted to swallow it whole without chewing but, I did it anyway. The key west tacos was served in a steel upright for all 3 to stand up without spilling on the plate. It's located within a couple blocks off Interstate 75 on Barrett Parkway. I found a parking place right in front of the restaurant. This made for easy access when leaving.

A big chain without a lot of actual island flavor, but with great service. I came here with a friend to celebrate having said "yes" to the dress, and we sat at the bar. I visited the North Point Mall location as a kid, but it was so long ago I don't remember details. Because we didn't want to spoil our dinners, my friend and I ordered a drink and split the chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was really good! Lots of good flavor and fresh veggies, without being overly cheesy. I'd come back and order it again. I had the Yaka Hula Hickey Dula to drink. It's a Hawaiian drink with dark rum, Reisling and pineapple juice; something I hadn't tried before. It was really good, not too sweet, and deceitfully strong. In other words, just the way I like it! And the slices of fresh pineapple were a good touch! My friend had a pina colada and enjoyed it. I had a sip and it tasted pretty authentic. Also served with a huge slice of pineapple. And, the bartenders were really friendly. Despite being busy with almost every chair full, they remained calm and made everyone feel like they were the most important customer in the restaurant. Definitely a great experience! I can't give Bahama Breeze more than 3 stars because: 1. I feel the food is overpriced. $11 is too much for one quesadilla. 2. It's overly commercial. I prefer smaller restaurants to big chains. 3. I'm confused by the theme/atmosphere they are tying to convey. The name makes me think Caribbean, but they offer dishes from anything island-related. My drink was Hawaiian, quesadillas are Mexican... It's confusing. Everything was really good, but this isn't a place I'll visit too often. I'd rather spend my money at an independently owned or small, local restaurant than a big chain like this.

Bahama Breeze I've been told is a chain restaurant but we see it all the time when we drive by Kennesaw and we finally got to check it out one day. I will say that the indoor decor is very tropical and we felt like we were on vacation when we walked in. The drink menu is very extensive and if I wasn't such a lightweight, I would have gotten a drink or two! We went on a Friday night and they had a live band outdoors which I thought was a nice touch to the place. The food is decent. I think it's better than Applebee's/Chillis, but it really depends on what you get. For instance, my husband got the Paella and it was AMAZING but I got the grilled salmon and it was really sub-par and nothing special. So, get the seafood paella, get some pina coladas, sit outside, and pretend you are on vacation!

One of my favorite restaurant environments and very friendly staff. The jerk chicken pasta is delicious and the jerk chicken wing appetizer is great too!

Enjoyed every minute of my visit. Went for Happy Hour, 1/2 off all appetizers and I must say, the waiter we had was pretty prompt and attentive. The food, my God, was delicious. We made a meal out of several HALF PRICED appetizers. I had the Fire cracker shrimp, beef empanadas and spinach dip (that was ok). My frozen drink was the bomb and next time I'm trying the coconut shrimp and lobster and shrimp pasta. It's not your typical Jamaican food spot but definitely a Caribbean flair to it. Very tasty food. I ordered food to go -__-

I had the Chicken Cobb Salad and Cumin Black Bean soup. The soup was very good, but the chicken on my salad was dry and over cooked. Appeared to have cooked in advance and ready for lunch crowd. Disappointing.

The food here is not nearly as good as the one at the Gwinnett location and the drinks aren't as stiff, either. The chicken empanadas had meat so dark that I'd swear it was beef. They insisted that it wasnt but I'm not convinced. I also had the conch fritters and had they actually been warm I think I would have enjoyed them. The pineapple dipping sauce seems to make everything better. I've had jerk chicken pasta over a dozen times at various locations and this one was by far the worst. The sauce was very runny, chicken unseasoned, and noodles overcooked. I arrived at noon and was advised that I could not have a drink until 12:30 (backwards blue laws in Ga). I was offered a virgin drink instead, no thanks. If I'm going to have empty calories they may as well be stiff. At 12:29, a young lady brings an ultimate pita colada with hardly any rum in it, rounding out one of the most anticlimactic meals ever Terribly disappointed overall and highly unlikely that I'll return. BB is usually one of my fav eateries and I drove out of my way to have it this day. My server was attentive and pleasant. She's the only reason I did not give this visit one star.

This was my second time visiting bahama breeze. Both times were great. I enjoyed the food and the drinks. Service was good too. I wish there were more than two locations in Ga but luckily, since I've moved, the Kennesaw location isn't too far so I'll definitely return. No complaints.

Plenty of parking once you get off the chaotic Barret Parkway. We were seated right away, the hostess was friendly, our server was nice and had a positive attitude. She gave some recommendations and provided the right level of service, didn't hover, and made sure we had what we needed. We ordered the chicken tostones and they were delicious, heavy on the plantain but light on the chicken. The flavor was great. We also had the ultimate pina colada which was tasty and just the right amount of rum. Overall it was a positive experience and I'm certain we'll be there again.

We decided to try Bahama Breeze because we were given a gift card. So glad we did. Everyone was very friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and the live entertainment was good. We started with the chicken tortilla soup. It was delicious! I had the wood grilled chicken breast with broccoli and mashed sweet potatoes. My husband had the tilapia. Both entrees were flavorful and filling. This will be a new favorite restaurant for us!

Really delicious seafood and tropical drinks. The deck really does allow you to imagine that your at the beach. Really enjoyed the coconut shrimp and the kids loved their options. Will have to try something new next time as so much I saw looked delicious. Also enjoyed the island feel of live music. Will definitely return!

Waited quite along time for our food. Everything looked really good but just mediocre in taste. The servers were very clumsy... a topple here, a topple there . It was just an ok experience, I'm not a fan.

I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand the food is delicious and prices for the food are very reasonable. You really get a plate full and whatever you pick (my favorite is the buttermilk chicken) it is delicious. On the other hand, the coconut mojito for $7.50 was filled with 3/4 ice and it took me 4 sips to empty it. It tasted like lemonade, almost seemed like there was no alcohol in it at all. Way overpriced for some coconut water. I really like the "bahama feel" ambience, although they could stand to fix those fans at the front desk. The pavilions you eat in are great, and sitting outside at the bar is very cosy and nice. However, this place is loud. If it is crowded you will have problems having a normal conversation with anyone sitting across from you. If you go there on the weekend, don't eat until 8 PM if you don't want to have your meal ruined by screaming, out of control kids that are running around like we had to deal with tonight. I understand kids are loud but this was beyond ridiculous. I would think at some point management would step in and tell parents this is not a playground and if they can't control their kids they need to leave, but nothing was done. Then we saw a busboy (Kyle C.) spray chemicals on a table to clean it, and without blinking he sprayed it on top of the salt and pepper shakers (nice! chemical in your food!) and then wiped the tops off with the same cloth he just cleaned the table with, gross. Our waiter Darryll was beyond polite and attentive, I wish I we would always have wonderful waiters like him. Give the man a raise, he has been with you for 5 years and going strong. All in all, great place to eat, but stick with the sweet tea, and have earplugs and your own salt and pepper shaker handy.

So as we all know service is one of the most important things we look for when we go out. This place has some of the worst service I have ever received. I won't even go into details. It just is not something I would pay for. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the food was decent. Not that anything in the menu is complex or stands out in any way what so ever. If you have a special occasion I would recommend you go somewhere else. Oh and my menu had pieces of food and greasy finger prints all over it.

I have always like Bahama Breeze but I only get to them when I travel. This location was OK, that staff to the most part was friendly and helpful. The food was just OK, not great. I had a shrimp dish and did not look or taste like much love was put into it preparation. They do have great key lime pie. I would go back but not on a regular basis.

Food is generally fine, but they rush you out too fast. Can't take two bites of salad before the main dish arrives.

Living off Barrett Parkway has taught me a couple of things about myself. I really enjoy chain restaurants. That being said, Bahama Breeze is a chain restaurant with really good food and a really good drink menu. It seems standard that these restaurants off the main strip are all decent food. Places like Jason's Deli, Provinos, Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden are all known for their specific, yet generic food. This Bahama Breeze is probably one of the best I've ever been to. Go to another Bahama Breeze, expect the same menu, but don't expect the same service. The service here is wonderful. The staff is really upbeat and tries their best to serve your every need. Good service is hard to find in a college town. Beside the good service, if you live in the area, check your mail. Bahama Breeze will occasionally send out coupons just to be nice. I got $10 dollars off my meal today just by checking my mail and discovering a $10 gift card! Thanks Bahama Breeze!

The place is very clean and the waitstaff is as friendly as you could want.... we went there for lunch.. i got the guacamole & goat cheese burger that was vooked to perfection!!! It had to weigh close to a pound..... it was HUGE!!! It was probably one of the best burgers ive ever had!!! I also had a fruit salad that was topped with mango sorbet.. ive never had mango sorbet before and im here to tell you, its the f¥€¥"""g bomb!!! My wife got some kind of huge salad that was equally as good.... we will b coming back here... havent tried dinner yet but id venture to say that we will b bacl some time next week for dinner.. everyone needs to try this place!!!!

The ultimate piña colada is delicious but the thing about Bahama Breeze that was kind of weird was that the food had nothing Bahama about it. Yes, they had a fish taco that was bland and really boring on the palate and maybe some pasta that was just the same. Bland and boring. The sweet potatoes were delicious thought and there was nothing else really special about it. Oh well, you can eat here if you want.. Otherwise, stay home and cook.

I'll be honest. The only reason we tried the restaurant was because of a $10 coupon. I have to say .... I was pleasantly surprised! My husband ordered grilled mahi mahi, which was fabulous: fresh, wonderfully seasoned, cooked to perfection. I had the seared tuna, expecting it to come out over-cooked and not very good. Boy, was I in for a surprise! It was truly seared and very very good. (In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I returned the following week for lunch.) My only complaints: Bahama Breeze is a bit expensive and they need to expand their choice of sides. (I don't want mashed potatoes. I want baked!) And would it hurt them to provide a gratis basket of bread or something to munch on while waiting for one's food???

One of my good friends LOVES their jerk chicken pasta, so you'll find us here every once in a while, especially since we live right by it. Service is terrible, every time, without fail. It's expected now whenever we come. The servers are nice and all but they're just incredibly slow no matter if you come at peak times or when the restaurant is nearly empty. My friend used to be a server, so she's always telling me to cut them some slack, but even she gets bothered when she comes here with me. Their food is bomb dot com, though! I highly recommend their jerk chicken pasta, coconut shrimp, seafood paella, pan-seared salmon pasta, and the banana nut bread supreme for dessert. These are the hits among my friends and I. They have a great promotion for half off appetizers for happy hour from 4PM-6PM Mondays through Fridays and Sundays through Thursdays from 10PM-close. The appetizers are filling on their own, so you can save some money by ordering a few of these and sharing amongst your friends. There's live music most nights of the week back in the covered deck seating area. You can check out their performer schedule on the website: bahamabreeze.com/locatio… . Tommy G is pretty mean on the sax! And speaking of the covered outdoor seating, there's a GREAT fire pit back there. It's the Mister's favorite spot to be seated at because you're front of the fire at the round, stone table. When you sit there, you're bound to share the space with other patrons, unless you have a huge party. They offer free wi-fi and parking is ample. There are plenty of speed bumps along the way, though, so if your car is lowered or slammed you might be creepin' over them super slow. My slammed ISO friend gets over them relatively okay. Most people park to the right of the building, since that's the first lot that you come to. There's more parking in the front (parallel) and to the left of the building, where there's even a special performer parking only spot. It's cute.

Made a mistake by taking my daughter on a date night with my husband. The server acted like we had cooties. We were ignored. Not really a family friendly place. The food was delicious. Seasoned perfectly.

We visited on a cold day and were taken to the part of the restaurant that has the fire so it was comfortable. I ordered the tropical fruit salad with greens. It came with either chicken. I don't eat meat so I asked for it on the side and was able to take the chicken home to my cat! This salad was so good, it really didn't need dressing. The pineapple and other fruit made it unnecessary. I was able to eat this with no guilt! My guy got the guacamole and goat cheese burger which was HUGE. He said it was wonderful. The side fruit salad he got (mainly for my benefit) had a small scoop or mango sorbet which was out of this world!!! I will come back just for more of this sorbet! The service and atmosphere was fantastic. The prices are a little high but the quality is there. Try this place out!

Yesterday we decided to try Bahama Breeze after close to 3 years of not enjoying it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable (so I thought) and friendly. When it came time to order, I chose the hamburger sliders for my daughter and I had the turkey burger no arugula sub bibb. I also had the conch fritters. When are food came out my daughter's burger had cheese. I was livid. I said I ordered a hamburger because she can not have cheese. He said, "yes it normally comes with cheese." By then, I'm complaining about how the menu needs to read properly because no where does it say cheeseburger. He goes along with me and says you are right the menu should say its a cheeseburger not hamburger. I couldnt even keep the side of broccoli because it was mush! He apologies, but blames everyone else but taking ownership of the problem. My daughter is hungry, I try and wait for her but my burger is getting cold. Now, I am no longer enjoying my food. I cut my burger and I also see cheese. I told him how I wanted my burger and once again I asked about the cheese thing and he said yes, it normally comes with cheese. all of our burgers come with cheese. Im truly confused but I don't want to cause a scene so I eat my lukewarm turkey burger with cheese. After, I finish my food, her food finally comes but she no longer wants it. When my check comes I have been charged for cheese twice. So I ask my waiter why was I charged when I clearly didn't want cheese. He still doesn't own up to mistake. He mumbles something and says yes I will take it off. That was the final straw. I lost respect for him. If from the beginning he had been honest, I would have looked at him and Bahama Breeze differently. I want honest people waiting on me. Don't throw everyone around under the bus but obviously he chose to add cheese to everything. I will make sure if I ever go back to never allow him wait on us. As a matter of fact, I probably wont go because that did not sit well with me at all. Liars and thieves disgust me

The food is very fresh and because of the atmosphere, I always feel like I'm on vacation. The inside dining area had a strange odor for some reason and I have received good service, but nothing extraordinary. You must get a lemon breeze, which is their lemonade drink, but it's made with cane sugar and it is the PERFECT balance of sweet and sour. For appetizer, you have to order the firecracker shrimp!

Cheesy, "Carribbean" (?) themed restaurant in suburban, Kennesaw. Too funny! We went on a Sunday night, and got hit with a 45 minute wait time. Luckily, we only waited 15 minutes or so, but were they trying to scare people away by saying 45 minutes initially?? Had to send our drinks back because we were convinced they forgot to put the alcohol in. SERVICE IS HORRIBLY SLOW. We waited for the waitress, waited for the drinks, and never got water. Megs- our not too friendly waitress, never came back to check on us, and we had to ask if they went to Grenada to GET our meal, as it was taking so long. The food, though? OMG! The lobster and shrimp pasta was to die for! That thick cream lobster sauce is just the business! Makes me (almost) forget how underwhelming the visit was. I'll be back for THAT dish, I'll just probably get it to go. I guess the Jerk Chicken pasta was "ok". Not sure, as the gf spent most of the night trying to sneak bites and "tastes" from my dish. Coconut Shrimp gets a huge thumbs up from her though. They have NO sides? Where are they? Menu isn't all that expansive, and they're semi-pricey. The End.

Service and waitstaff friendliness on point. Food, eh, not bad. Pretty good. But what really kills me is the Napoleon lookin' mother effer that scolds his employees and brings them to tears in front of customers and other staff. It takes a man a deliver criticism but it only takes an inferiority complex to debilitate his staff/those making his bucks for him. So whatever was said by the short aging male manager, it had a ripple effect throughout the dining room. If that's how they treat employees, why should I go back? That prick probably makes six figures yet doesn't have the decency to do his temper tantrum and harsh words behind office doors...? I don't know. It just wasn't very "Caribbean-ie" if you ask me.

It's funny I lived about two miles from this place and never got around to trying it. I was invited back to come visit some friends over Labor Day weekend so of course I obliged and we came to eat here. As most times when I eat with my old friends they are always late. There were seven of us and only two of us there on time and I they still gave us the first available seat even though there were others waiting. The rest of the party showed up about thirty minutes after we got seated and our server wasn't even mad. We all ordered drinks and meals and everything came out to everyone's pleasing. I got the shrimp and grits that were advertised on the front of the menu and I loved them. The alcohol was a typical restaurant cocktail nothing great about it. Side note: I think most restaurant bartenders learn on the job therefore not giving them the knowledge to make that drink pop like your typical high end bartender can after going to mixology school. All and all I enjoyed the spot. The food tasted good for the price and service was at par.

We had a small get together this past Saturday, July 12, 2014. The food as well as the service was great. We sat on the porch, what we normally do. There was a band and they sounded really good, played great music. The only issue was how loud they were, the only time we could talk is when the band was taking a break. I am not a hater of loud music, I quite enjoy music. But in a restaurant in the mid to late afternoon, it would be nice to be able to have conversation over dinner and drinks, without yelling at each other. It would be great if they offered gluten free foods as well. I ordered something I thought was pretty safe, but had a reaction to the gluten on my way home. I have a very high intolerance to gluten, but I do not have celiac disease.

Don't know what in God's name happened to this restaurant. It use to be so much better then it is now. The drinks are still good. The staff are somewhat pretty friendly. But the food is horrible nothing just really pops out at you and when it does its really just whatever taste wise. The inside needs some major updating it's tacky and old looking and pretty dirty. Only reason for 3 stars are drinks and staff everything else was awful.

How I ended up in Kennesaw on a Saturday is a wild and magical ride that I won't get into here. Since I had been joking about going here all day, of course my friends decided we had to go. I guess I see BB as the epitome of chain restaurants that I rarely visit. But, after hitting up Red Lobster a few weeks ago, I was on tear of ironically visiting restaurant. When we came in Saturday evening I almost kicked someone in a Hawaiian shirt when they said the wait was 2 hours. 2 hours?! For Bahama Breeze? And you wonder who those that live ITP joke about people that live OTP.... Anyhoo, to the bar we went and had some very reasonably priced drinks, a literal mountain of onion rings, and some spinach and artichoke dip. $6 for a goombay smash? Party on, Garth. Two of my friends were convinced the artichoke dip tasted like eggs, but I think it was just more salty than usual. The onion rings were gigantic and there were probably 15 of them on the plate. Fun for the whole family! I had the small portion of the jerk chicken pasta, and at under $13 was a great deal. I like how they have smaller portions for those that don't want to have food babies after a meal. Our server was great and even helped inform us the lady sitting alone staring us down was harmless. The people watching at this place is also top notch. From camo hats and a one man band, you'll be ironically entertained.

We used to eat here at least every two weeks however we no longer go for this one simple reason. They seem to discontinue things from the menu quite often. I'm a bit of a picky eater and there was only one particular thing that I like as a side with my fish and they discontinued it. How can a restaurant discontinue plain white rice? Also on this visit, service was not very good, the server never cleared dishes or empty glasses from our table even though we pushed them right over to the edge. Also after we had the problem with the menu the manager never came by to even attempt to make things right. Sometimes in their gusto to create new fantastic items restaurants overlook the obvious things such as service and customer satisfaction. With their Red Lobster brand floundering Darden Restaurants needs to up the ante at this remaining establishment by retaining customers rather than running them off. Now, about the food, their tilapia is very good when cooked "simply grilled". I love to team it up with the lemon herb butter. I used to love it with white rice but no more.

Although it is a bit on the expensive side, Bahama Breeze is a wonderful restaurant if you're looking for a place that makes you feel like you're at the beach and not in Kennesaw (I felt like I was on vacation while I was there). The atmosphere is relaxed, and I love the outdoor seating area which has a very nice fire pit. Even the bathrooms felt like they belonged in a nice hotel right on the beach! The service and food were great, although portions could be slightly larger for the price.

We made a reservation for a family party (23 people) 5 hours before and we still had to wait 2:25 after we get there , food was fine, but service on the table was terrible, I do recommend , and I will never go back in this place again

This place has made a pretty significant turn around when compared to a few years ago. We have never had to wait but we go during off hours. The food is great! There are healthy choices and lite and full portions. This restaurant is diet friendly. Even when I emailed corporate with a question they responded the same day and were incredibly helpful. There are many different seating areas, each different. There is a giant fire pit in the middle of a round bar like table. We sat there once and it was really a lot of fun. There is live music though it can be more annoying than enjoyable. Oh well I am a regular here and I don't see that changing any time soon.

As I'm not a fan of most chain restaurants, I was extremely surprised by everything that made up Bahama Breeze. We honestly only stopped in since a close friend is managing one in Florida so we wanted to try it out. From the moment the hostess opened the door for us and our server asked if it was our first visit, we were hooked. The prices were very reasonable for a quality sit-down restaurant, the food was superb and the atmosphere was much more lovely than it was kitchey. My daughter had one of the lunch combos. . .she went with coconut shrimp paired with a Caesar salad. The shrimp were coated and cooked perfectly, and the salad (with fresh shaved parmesan. . .YUM) was as fresh as they come. I had the Calypso shrimp linguini and loved everything about it. It was fresh, the taste was fabulous, and there were more shrimp in it than I could eat. We DEFINITELY will be back.

Yuck. We went here because I had a gift card. Our drinks tasted like a mildewed dish rag. The bar counter was sticky and smelly (what on earth was the smell??) my husband said his bar chair was sticky as well. The food was fast- but really just tasted like any other chain restaurant frozen food. After we left, my husband called the manager to complain and the Mgr said "ya, we're having problems with our dishwasher"! What?!? Is that why our drinks tasted so horrid? What on earth did I drink? Mildew dish water? Ugh- never ever ever again.

This is such a cute and fun place. It reminds you of a restaurant at a resort. The staff is really nice and knowledgeable. I find the food to be mediocre at best. However, the variety of drinks cannot be beat, and they are CHEAP!

Really disappointed. Ordered a salad that came out without all of the listed ingredients, so they had to take it back. They didn't even bring the dressing I requested. Plus the chicken was so cold it was like it came out of the refrigerator or something. By the time it would have gotten back to the table my husband would have been done with his food so what's the point? We work hard and have 4 kids and get very few opportunities to go out so needless to say I'm not pleased. I waited 15 minutes + for drinks to show up. This place is poorly run. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I really dislike chain restaurants and my recent trip (to celebrate my fiance's dad's birthday) just proved why I avoid these types of restaurants like the plague. We thankfully had reservations... otherwise I couldn't imagine how long we would have waited for a table on a Saturday night. Always long lines. The food? Bland, bland, bland, bland, bland!!! I ordered the top sirloin. The steak was cooked well. The mashed potatoes didn't taste like anything. Neither did the vegetables. Has the cook ever heard of salt?? The selection is strange to me given it's supposed to be a Caribbean themed restaurant. There are no Caribbean dishes. Just lots of burgers and sandwiches. The entree selection (if you don't like fried food) is not good. Our server acted annoyed the whole time we were there. The highlight was our desert. The dulce de leche cheesecake was delicious!! I will continue avoiding this place as much as possible!

    1. No Coke Zero 2. WiFi, which is a plus, but it's ultra slow and disconnects a lot. Unusable. 3. Not on OpenTable.

The place is a gimmick and the food was overpriced and bland (do not buy the lobster pasta). The best thing was the crab appetizer, but it wasn't exceptional by any means. The waitress barely came around and when I paid with the gift card which had less than her desirable tip, she asked me if I wanted to close out the food on the gift card and buy another drink so I could put her tip on my credit card. We would have tipped her anyways, but I found that completely inappropriate.

Fun atmosphere with great Caribbean food! Live music, not sure if it's everyday or just the weekends. I love the Chicken Quesadillas, Jerk Chicken Pasta, Key Lime Pie and Bahama Rita's!! Great place for a group of friends or nice dinner with your love!

First of all, I am not a fan of theme-chain restaurants at all. Went here with my sister-in-laws for dinner one night and was not overly thrilled upon entering. The wait was long, drinks were expensive (and not alcohol-induced) and the food was good, but not worth the price. The service was not superb, even though it was a busy Friday night. Doubt it if I'll come back here.

I never really thought that Bahama Breeze would qualify as a family feed bag, but from my experience, I would say it fits the bill. The wait for a table was super long even with call ahead , granted it was for a Saturday night, but whatever. Anyway after a 30 min wait we were seated. Unfortunately, we were seated smack dab in the middle of a birthday dinner party. There was a long table next to us and a few booths with chair on the end which blocked the aisles which were all occupied by the party attendees. Anyway, my family and I felt like we were interlopers in this get together...not cool in my book. Especially when you have people standing over you while you are eating. I think they could have arranged this party bit more effectively so that they would not disturb the other patrons. In terms of the food, it was good. Honestly I was expecting more Caribbean inspired dishes with goat, pork, and more beef selections which didn't have mashed potatoes on the side... I was craving something exotic and, well.... I was a little disappointed by it. I ended up ordering the Salmon tortilla salad, which was pretty good. Salmon was really nice and well cooked, the salad had lettuce, tomato, onion, some sort of cheese, pico, mango, and a toasted tortilla in the bottom. This was pretty good... i was actually a fan of their dressing, it gave the salad a bit more depth and really complimented the ingredients. I also had a taste of the coconut shrimp, man that was really good, I just with this dish had more variety, it was mostly shrimp with a little side of broccoli. They should include a salad or some sort of color. The plating was a little blah. The service was pretty decent, people really didn't really go out of their way here. Honestly I think on this night, the servers were in survival mode. This place was a mad house on Saturdays. #365Yelp 50/365

I LOVE CARIBBEAN / ISLAND FOOD!! With that said, I was beyond disappointed in this restaurant. When I first went here, I was unaware this was a "chain", but that shouldn't make a difference in how good or bad the food is (in theory, right??!??). The decor and atmosphere is kitchy, and stereotypical, but you definitely feel transported to the Bahamas. The blended tropical drinks are decent and make you wish you were in fact in the Bahamas instead of Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw, GA. Now, down to the food. It sucks. Yup, I said it. My review for this place is go somewhere better. The restaurant's prices are not inexpensive, so, personally, I would rather go somewhere better and actually enjoy my entire meal experience. Sucks when the drink is the best part of the night out.

  • Lynette R.

This place is not all that to me. Why do I still go? I dunno..something that you do I guess. I'm never really a fan of franchised Caribbean restaurants. Why? They all taste the same and they are never remotely close to true island food. So with that said, if you want true Jamaican or other Island style food, you gotta go to the hood (tip: Look for the Island flags outside an establishment when you go to the hood to find authentic Island food) I usually get the coconut shrimp at Bahama Breeze and I don't know why I put myself through this torture because the coconut shrimp at Red Lobster is waaay better and cost less!!!! The drinks here, I will rate as a five but my waitress is sub-par. She doesn't ask me if I need anything or if everything is okay until AFTER I ask for my bill. Not a good luck to try to squeeze in extra sucking up for hopes of a big tip. I tip well , I've worked in the industry before but like those before you, you have to work and not expect tips to fly out of the sky. Save your money and hit a real island restaurant joint.

Bahamas breeze is one of my fave restaurants bc I esp love their drinks. I raved about it to my picky bf and he looked forward to it. We loved our appetizer - the spicy shrimp. We had incredible alcoholic drinks. But when our food arrived, not so great. My bf was hesitant to complain but I encouraged it bc I really wanted him to have a good experience. Our server was awesome! (Cant remember his name but he had a tom selec type mustache.) He asked what he could do. We just asked to have his entree removed. Then his manager came over and she wouldn't take no for an answer. She offered to recook. She made other recommendations. The two of them really impressed. Service like this is rare. Not only were they great but every single employee that we encountered greeted us as we entered and left - from bar to host to servers. Food was ok, drinks were awesome, service was stellar. It's worth a visit. You will find something you like and they will take care of you.

This was our first time having dinner at Bahama Breeze. After a wait in line at JC Penny Home store, an employee from Bahama Breeze was behind us in line, and we asked him to tell us about Bahama Breeze. He gave a good review. We were greeted by friendly staff and our waiter, Steven, was very nice and helpful, when it came to answering our questions. He recommended the ribs. I am a HUGE rib fan, quite particular about how my ribs are cooked. I prefer smoked ribs. However, it was the bbq sauce that made these ribs tasty. We would definitely go back. There are other menu items I would like to try.

I looove this place. If you ever been to an island, u kinda get that vibe here with the outdoor seating, bands, and fruity drinks. I personally live for their sugar cane lemonade. Their margaritas are nice too. I am not a big soup person but I highly recommend the cuban black bean soup. Its addictive and I have turned so many non-believers on to it. Their wings (any flavor) are big and juicy like the coconut shrimp. I like the beef patties and key lime pie. It's been a while but I remember their pasta dishes are tasty too. This is a fun, kick-back joint. The service is slow many times, nonetheless. One day I waited 20 min. at table jus to see a waiter. The manager made it up to me and bought me and my BF desserts and appetizer. So I forgive them.

Went there last night and it was busy really busy so the customer service lacked. We were seated before another couple and they received their food 20 min before us. When we got our food it was cold and the plates had food spilled over the side like they just through it in. We order a martini and it was so sweet it upset my stomach. The food was just average and the customer service was mediocre. Maybe it wasn't so busy it would be better but I'm not willing to give it another chance considering this was my third attempt and each time it was just average.

We have been 2 times. Each time either my food or my husbands food was terrible. Each time I noticed the pile I dishes that remained on the fire pit in the gazebo area-it's just dirty, and nobody wants to look at dirty dishes-we won't be back.

Bahama Breeze is basically what it might be like if the owner's of Friday's decided to try to get crazy. Carribbean food mostly designed and served by subruban white people? Nah, dude. Not really. I think I'd much rather eat the real thing out of a brown paper bag in some dive hole. A lot of concept restaurants like this one do a nice job in the IDEA of the menu items. The Jerk Chicken and pineapple should be something incredible, if it were cooked by people with real Carribean experience. Unfortunately, here you're still in Kennesaw Georgia on Barrett Parkway. It's nice that they're TRYING to do something different, but really it just kind of falls flat. I can imagine, though, suburban white fathers who would think this place is realy crazy and awesome. "Honey, take an iron to my Hawaiian shirt and call the Johnsons. Tonight we're going to fiesta!" Of course anything starts to taste good after youv'e had a few mojitos. Maybe go pound a few and then you'll feel like you're overseas. But as Gabrielle pointed out, $8.95 for sandwich???? Booooooo.

I actually bar-tended here for around 9 years. It's the cleanest restaurant I have ever worked at, the kitchen manager is completely OCD and it reflects on the cleanliness of the entire place. After eating the same food for 9+ years here I actually still enjoyed several menu items. Both the wing apps are delicious and the roasted red pepper sauce for one of the chicken dishes is great. I think this is the kind of place to meet up with friends before a night out or maybe a date night. Oh yeah, blind dates here were very common, a day never went by when strange couples met at the bar. Anyways, I chose the restaurant to work at because the first time I ate there I loved the fun atmosphere and energy. That's still there as far as I know.

My hubby and I went here for lunch over the weekend. When we got there, the place was pretty much empty, so we were seated immediately. The waitress came to take our drink orders, but had to come back for our food orders, because we needed more time to scan the menu. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. They didn't have a very big selection on their lunch menu. Hubby ordered the Calypso Shrimp Linguine and I opted for the Shrimp & Soup Combo. I had 3 coconut shrimp with seafood chowder. Hubby really enjoyed his pasta, especially the piece of Cuban bread they serve with it and his pasta was pretty well stocked with shrimp. My seafood chowder, while being very good (and steaming hot), was not so much of a chowder as a thick broth. It wasn't chowder-like... I can't explain it. It was very tasty though. Kudos for topping it with four fried shrimp! The sauce that they have for their coconut shrimp, a citrus mustard dipping sauce, was very tasty! I'd like to go back to see what their menu looks like for dinner, but I'm fearful that it will have way too many exotic things on it (hence the name Bahama Breeze) and I'll stick to the same old plain stuff. The prices here are a little high but the food is good quality.

I like this place. it's a nice spot with a patio, close to home , that serves frozen beverages. Surprisingly found right in the middle of mallsville. They have a massive drink selection and their food menu is all over the map. We went for drinks and apps. I recommend checking the nutritional guide online prior to going there to eat. Some of the seemingly innocuous choices are outrageously high in fat. Also, ask for the frozen drink menu before you order. We were given the dinner menu which only has about half of the options listed. We tried the ultimate margarita on the rocks and a spicy mango mojito. The rita sucked and the mojito was insanely good. Really ,really insanely good. The apps we ordered were Jamaican Grilled Shrimp, The Crab Stack, Corn Fritters and Chicken Empanadas and a Caesar salad. The shrimp was killer, The stack was good but bland, the friiters tasted like dessert and the empanadas were alright. the salad was large and not overly dressed. I will definitely come back to part take in the libations and the patio. I need to try the chicken soup for sure. I can see myself making a meal of the soup and salad in preparation of downing a few icy cocktails. The drinks are large, strong and reasonably priced. The food is not bad at all. Our service was great and the atmosphere is pretty mellow. That's really not too shabby for an otp chain near the mall.

Oh my. Why have I been here 3 times? Did I not learn?! Visit 1 - great experience. Loved their take on calimari. They actually serve succulent strips of calimaloni, whis is sweeter than calimari, and cut into tender strips...not rings. So we had drinks and apps. Nice experience Visit 2 - After the nice visit with the office staff, took my husband here and had the seared tuna salad. Which sounded delicious. Not so...seared means DONE WELL at this joint. I love sushi so I was saddened by overcooked tuna. And the salad was rotting before my eyes. The lettuce had been dressed for too long and was swimming in too much dressing. Visit 3 - Had a lot of paperwork to take care of for my business at lunch so I was dining alone. Figured they couldn't mess up a martini and a salad. Come to find out they serve you the completely wrong drink, and all their salads are rotting in too much dressing. Wiater was scattered and busy all over the place...never could get his attention about the drink. Won't be back.

Great food at reasonable prices with a very nice atmosphere. I had the shrimp and grits and they were superb. Hearing the dessert offerings, I had to try the banana bread with warm butterscotch sauce (served with slivered almonds, fresh bananas and whipped cream). Without question, one of the most outstanding desserts I've ever eaten...ANYWHERE! If you go, save some room for this one.

Does this feel like a gimmicky Disney restaurant? Yes. But they do it well, and besides it's Kennesaw. Where else are you going to go? I have always had consistently decent food here. The best way to hit Bahama Breeze is to go for drinks in the afternoon on a Saturday. They have a breezy, covered deck with live Carribbean music that's a low key way to spend a few hours when you are dozing out in the suburbs. Cons: hostesses are consistently rude and do a poor job of dealing with busy weekend nights. Also, this is yet another Kennesaw restaurant that will not take reservations. Last time I was here they completely messed up the meal order (salads and appetizers arriving after entrees already delivered). Management admitted their mistake and comped appetizers and desserts. All restaurants have busy nights where mistakes are made, and I always appreciate management that has a professional attitutude. Try their mojitos and jerk chicken.

Loved It!!! My friend and I are the first to arrive so we get to pick where we want to sit, although the patio was covered we still opted for the seat next to the torch... Real Fruit Mojitos???? Adored it!!!! I had the banana strawberry mojitio and it was to die for. The waitress was very nice, making sure everything was going well. I had a spicy shrimp dish which was pretty much just fried shrimp in a spicy mayonnaise based dipping sauce. But the prices were good so I can't really complain. Once we finished our early lunch the waitress actually asked if we wanted separate checks!!! Loved her ;-)

I met Kelly for lunch one Rainy Afternoon last week. I had a feast of seafood the day before so I oped for the Burga! Bad call. It has the familiar taste of freezer burn...covered up with ketchup and mustard... and it was still not edible. The shrimp thing was good, and Kelly had the paella, but I do not care for the rice they use so I passed. There is no much to say. Is a chain chain... had to deal.

food and drink good. nasty sweaty employees drinking and smoking around customers was gross. Its a chain which I dont frequent too often, but they are consistant. Service was good too. Management needs to sit back and take a good look at how the place looks as a whole though. I will go back, I usually find myself on their patio once a year.

I plan on actually taking my girlfriend to this Bahama Breeze at some point over the weekend because their Tilapia is some of the best that we have ever had. That includes eating at restaurants by the ocean. I love the cheesy shirts that the waiters wear here also. Nothing says "Bahama's" like bright fluorescent colored shirts with little stupid flower designs all over them. Makes me feel like getting my iron drum out and playing a melody similar to the one in the old school Toyota commercials. I'm feeling hot, hot, hot. Toyota! Yeah, its a chain, but a chain that has been very successful at this particular location. I don't like all the rich snots in Cobb county either. Just ignore them and focus on your food and fruity drink.

Plain and simple the best restaruant meal in months. I ordered chicken which can with some type of sauce of which I could have eaten a bowl full. My date ordered the talaipa which was delicious. I'll go on record and say that it's better than Johnny Caraba's hands down and better than the Cherokee Catlle company.

Great service coupled with decent drinks and good appetizers. I recently had a group event on the enclosed patio and the staff was excellent in helping to organize it and in the service provided. In the previous review i mentioned the service being a little slack. In my most recent visit to Bahama Breeze, 'a little slack' was an understatement. The service was bad, straight UP. The workmates and I recently got together for a lunch of unknown meaning (supervisor-initiated, no known occasion - am I too suspicious?), and in the process of indecisively deciding where to go settled on Bahama Breeze. Reasons being, it is close to the job, and I liked the sound of the Sun-Drenched Portobello & Vegetable Sandwich (even though the little takeout menu I viewed in advance listed the price as $8.95 - What?!, for a sandwich?!). Well, someone had to make a decision, and after insisting that I can find "something" without meat in it, on any menu (okay, maybe not, but I've had good luck so far - if I ever bite the bullet, so to speak, and go vegan, forget it), I realized this veg option sounded pretty good: "...With char-grilled seasonal vegetables, tomato, asparagus, pepper-jack cheese and fresh basil, hot-pressed on Cuban bread." Alas, we were off, two cars' worth of us, six in total. The outdoor patio is self-seating, and it is lovely, as long as you're not facing the huge box store Dick's Sporting Goods, unless of course you like staring at a big sign reading "DICK'S" throughout your lunch (assuming you've tired of your lunch companions' faces). Or the parking lot. I faced toward the bar, which was closed for lunch, and had a great view not only of my lunch companions, but of plenty of faux-Caribbean style outdoor patio architecture, complete with ceiling fans turning at high speed. If not for knowing I was in Kennesaw, on Barrett Parkway yet (egad, what a horrible road, filled with nothing but box stores, strip malls and chain restaurants, everything the average Cobb Countian craves... apparently), I would have thought I was in some equally touristy type Caribbean restaurant, maybe even in the actual Caribbean. Not the sea itself, but you know what I mean. Since this was a work lunch (paid for by each of us individually - hey, it's not a corporate job, after all), no imbibing of fancy drinks with umbrellas took place, just ice water with lemon all around. Our server was klutzy, dropping his nametag and assorted items from pockets in various places on his person, on the floor around our table, but took our orders well enough - the kitchen, however, seemed stymied by the lunch crowd, which didn't seem too much of a crowd from where we sat, and took forever in getting our food to us. My yummy sounding sandwich, the "Sun Drenched" blah blah blah, was rather grease drenched (fried Cuban bread in oil - the "hot-pressed" thing), and the accompanying side of fruit salad (choices are fries - a VAST amount at that, pasta salad, or fruit salad) was old. Seriously old. Like someone had cut the pineapple, melon and the one strawberry atop it all a week or two prior - so old I took a bite or two, wanting it to get better, and ate nothing more. Disappointing food overall, but the asparagus in the sandwich was a very cool touch, and something I may implement in my own home cooking (asparagus in a sandwich? WOW!). I suppose showing up when alcohol can be consumed, designated driver in tow, with money being no object, sitting on the patio and hanging out for a while might be fun. For a quick lunch, forget it, and if you're a vegetarian, take a pass. The salmon did look yummy, if you eat fish, I can say that, but the fish entrees at lunch are priced around $10 or $11. Maybe YOU can afford that sort of thing, but they don't pay me enough for that. Addtional info: there is a funky fire pit on the patio - good for heat on cold nights, thus making it a year-round patio.

I live downtown and don't really go OTP that often to eat. But went to Bahama Breeze for a family get together and I thought it was good. My husband and I shared a bowl of the seafood chowder and I had the coconut shrimp for dinner. He had a seafood pasta dish of some sort. The food was O.K. The best thing about eating here was the porch and the Pina Coladas. I can think of ten places I'd rather eat within a few miles of my house that I'd enjoy more and without the 40 minute drive to Kennesaw.

We had an OK experience. I had the ahi tuna entree salad which was pretty good and spicy. Another person at the table had the salmon with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were, in a word, awful. The salmon was undercooked and rubbery. The filet mignon was not anywhere near as tender as one would expect and had plenty of gristle for a meager 8 oz filet. The martini that was ordered dirty, had to have an extra shot of olive juice brought out and my bahama breeze lemonade was way too sweet. The servers and hosts appeared to be in a daze. Our waitress was doing the best she could, considering so many things that seemed to be going wrong around us.

Been there twice now. Drinks are OK, but the menu is pretty limited. I had jamaican chicken breast that was just ok. Frankly, if it weren't for my inlaws (that wanted to go) I wouldn't have been there the 2nd time. There are much nicer places to eat in Kennesaw.

I was introduced to Bahama Breeze about 4 years ago and love the food there. I personally hadn't been in over 2 years so i begged my boyfriend Jef to take me. We went on a Saturday evening around 7pm. We had to wait an hour before we were seated. Of coures this did not make us happy. You typically don't want to wait long when you're paying money. Our waitress was wonderful. I orded the Lobster and Shrimp pasta which was abosolutly amazing...and Jef ordered the Jerk wings which were a hit as well. One thing i didn't like was that they don't give you any bread prior to your meal coming. Now a days no matter where you go they give you some type of bread to snack on before your meal. This is something i feel they should do, especially since you pay a nice amount for the entree's. Overall the food was great. I'm not in a rush to go back but i would but just at maybe a little earlier in the day when it shouldn't be as crowded.

This place is great.... we sat by the fireplace... i think this part of there restaurant would b a great place to bring your significant other for a romantic dinner.

The End.

  • Corporal H.

  • Tom N.

  • Kim K.

Great Live entertainment on Saturday nights! Great range in music and genre! We did not eat but enjoyed our time and a couple of drinks! Premium margaritas with the grand on the side! :)

Bahama breeze is my go to restaurant if I'm out with family or friends...because it has a great atmosphere and reasonably priced. The Jamaican grilled wings are the best...I wish they had more of a food selection.

Price vs. Service/Quality do not match. Waitress didn't come back until the meal was mostly complete, and told us she expected a tip.

Great service coupled with decent drinks and good appetizers. I recently had a group event on the enclosed patio and the staff was excellent in helping to organize it and in the service provided. Thanks for a good time. A good time is what they strive for as they bring a little bit of the Bahamas to Barrett Pkwy

In the previous review i mentioned the service being a little slack. In my most recent visit to Bahama Breeze, 'a little slack' was an understatement. The service was bad, straight UP.
