Loved it. Probably the best spot to eat in Helen, Ga. If you like ribs this is the spot for you. Seating is outside for some that may be a problem you can always take it to go.

Walking up to the restaurant, you'll see a sign that reads: "If your underwear is showing, we will not serve you." And another inside, on a jar for a free lunch drawing: "For the slow learners, this is NOT a trash can." This is the kind of rough and tumble place you're going. Get over the gruffness of the lady taking orders and you'll get some good BBQ. We were shown that they have plates and sandwiches, both of which have side dishes available. We all ordered their pork sandwiches. The rolls were soft and lightly toasted. The meat was tender and tasty, and they offered four sauces. Fire was basically Buffalo-style hot sauce (and, really, not that spicy, but better safe than sorry). They also had sweet, tangy, and hot, all of which were kind of confusingly similar one day later. We all found that a concoction of two or three sauces suited us well. We got fries and potato salad for sides. The fries were nothing special--Ore Ida types--though they were crisp and not too greasy. The potato salad was similarly average, a bit mustardy without too many spices or extra ingredients, just the basics. We also had their sweet tea to drink, which was pretty good: not too strong, and plenty sweet. Overall, this seems like a reliable place, and it's pleasantly removed from the hubbub of the touristy side of Helen. We had a pleasant time and enjoyed our meal. As others mentioned, this is outdoor seating only, so plan accordingly. But if the weather's nice, a good BBQ sandwich is a fine way to enjoy it.

A nice walk up order n takeaway or eat outside BBQ, Ribs were nicely smoked and tender, coleslaw was finely chopped with very little mayo=perfect! The potato salad on the other hand was heavy on mayo. Sauce choices are sweet n mild, med and hot, they give you plenty in covered plastic containers. Rib plate with 2 sides, Texas Toast and a pepper was only $7.50, for a tourist area this place is a winner. My guests had pulled pork sandwiches and a chicken breast, said it was great.

The food was amazing. I tried the Brunswick Stew after a local highly recommend it. Now everytime I go to BBQ place I order the stew to see if it's up to par with the one N.GA BBQ have yet to find one that comes even close to their stew. Order the Brunswick Stew but be warned because you will never have another like it. WOW!
