The resturant was nothing special and on the tad side of expensive for the quality of the food. Not the worst place ever but not planning on going back.

Nice family people with good talks and great food on the cheap! I rarely spend over 10$ and I always leave satisfied. Pass up waffle house today and enjoy mainstreet instead!

The food is great with the exception of the orange juice which is watered down. There is a good variety. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is very family oriented. Prices are reasonable.

My reviews generally are a bit lengthy, but as complete as I can write them. 1. Atmosphere---Before you enter the front door the hours of operation are clearly readable in prominently displayed on the door. Upon entering you will notice a very clean well-lit restaurant that contains a bee hive of activity displayed by the servers and the owner. Either the hostess, server, or owner will greet you as soon as you enter. There will also be a chalkboard with a list of specials. Like most good eateries the weekends are VERY busy, but well worth the wait. 2. Wait staff---There are always a pair of servers working in tandem to make sure your orders are taken, food is brought out promptly, and drinks are refilled. If there is ANYTHING that you might need to be exchanged the exchange will be done with no questions asked since you will have already explained the issue. The servers each have their own personalities, but the service will be the same no matter who waits on you. If you need something and you don't see your "tandem" you can ask anyone for assistance...even the owner. 3. Owner---Bill is the owner and makes sure the recipes are followed, staff front and back run smoothly, and is the restaurant's biggest cheerleader. Bill will ask you if everything is fine and will make you feel at home without hovering. He has a lot going on, but takes time to speak to every customer. 4. Food--OK now we get to the food. The menu is varied from breakfast served all day (until 2 p.m. M-TH) and all day on F-S-and S when the restaurant is open later into the evening when full-portion dinners are served. You can look at the menu below my review. You can have pancakes, waffles, and omelets, and the biscuits are great, breakfast sandwiches, you get the idea. The eggs Benedict are my personal favorite, I have yet to have a less than great meal there. Yes I am a regular, but really quite unbiased when it comes to my reviews. Lunch specials are served all day long or until they run out which will happen. Like with ALL restaurants a special is something special...when it's gone it's gone. Main Street offers two sizes of hamburgers and use an extra napkin because they are that good and that juicy. The Gyro is also an excellent choice and no matter what sandwich you choose you will be happy. The Italian dishes are also very good like any of the chicken offerings and the pizza....wonderful. I like the spaghetti with meatballs or sausage. There is beer and wine in their future so I've heard...a welcome addition. Obviously there are some things on the menu that I do not care for like some of the veggies and the mashed potatoes, but that is all a matter of personal taste. Oh, and grab a cookie or two on the way out as you go to the cash register :) Pricing...that depends on how much you order :) All this said there are the customers. Bill knows so many people that it amazes me. So those of you who feel they've had a poor experience or read a negative review....come in and see for yourselves. A restaurant is known by it's reputation and at Main Street new "regulars" are there for the first time every day. Main Street Restaurant 1142 Athens Hwy, #115 Grayson, GA (770) 985-9985

I am a huge breakfast fan! I would eat breakfast morning, noon and night given the chance, so when I heard about this spot I was very excited. My husband and I were seated (once someone noticed we were there) and we encountered our first issue, an extremely uncomfortable booth! We moved to a table, even worse. I thought to myself, "whatever, as long as the food is good I'll sit on the floor". We ordered and the food came fairly quickly but my husband's order was incorrect. My food was correct but barely warm and had absolutely NO SEASONING what-so-ever! How do you make grits with NO SALT or butter?? They were simply awful, the worst I can remember tasting. So, no, we will not return.

The restaurant has moved to Cooper Village shopping Plaza ,1142 Hwy 78 in Grayson Ga. There are in new building witch is a up grade from last location.the food is the same. Fresh & hot and the service is fast.

We love the new location, don't even mind the extra couple of miles to get to it but we've noticed one very important difference in the new location......the food is not hot. In that I am saying, it's not even warm enough to melt butter on the pancakes. Not sure if the kitchen is further away and the food sits longer before serving or if the place is so busy that the wait staff can't get to the food when it first comes out. Not sure what it is. We've been here numerous times since the relocation and the food has yet to be hot. I do love that the check-out is smoother. Payment is made on the way out rather than flagging down a server. And having once been a waitress myself, I have noticed that there is zero teamwork amongst a server or two. What's up with that anyway ?

They REALLY need to figure out their hours of operation and what they serve. It's very confusing after breakfast. Can't tell you how many times we've wanted to go there for a good Southern meal like their country fried steak only to find that they're closed or not serving what we want. Their lunch specials should be served until closing time-business would pick up drastically!

I pass by this restaurant everyday and it's always buzzing. I decided to give it a go this morning, and I must say that I am not impressed. The food has no flavor... the waffle is not Belgian ... the pancakes taste like batter. The plain gravy was delicious... the sirloin was decent. The chicken biscuit sandwich was pretty good.

Main Street has always been a favorite for many years. The food is pretty good but still very simple. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good, and the people around the restaurant always have a smile. But, overall Main Street is pretty good, and we would probably go back again.

I had the most pleasurable dining here at Main Street. The owner Billy is always there and will walk around to see how you like the food. The breakfast was amazing!!!! Very fresh I was told the Eggs are fresh and broken not liquid. It's a large enough place to relax inside or outside. They have a large patio with clean umbrellas to sit and eat. This place kinda reminds me of Seinfeld (TV show) where friends can hang out daily. The menu has a variety of items like pizza, sandwiches and breakfast. I wish they had veggie burgers. I will go back to this place time and time again!

Party of 2 arrived at 10am on a Saturday morning, this place was packed! Not surprising there aren't too many breakfast places around. We waited 40 minutes for our food, which consisted of 2 omelets & 1 waffle. The omelets we ordered were missing one key ingredient: the meat. We were compensated by given a different type of animal instead. Coffee watered down and food overpriced for the quality. 2 stars because the woman who rang up our check seemed genuinely concerned that we did not have the best experience; won't be back.

Good food, attentive and friendly staff, reasonable prices, plentiful portions, and a clean appearance. Breakfast is served all day and it is good. They also have daily lunch specials. Feel free to bring the whole gang as they have very flexible seating options to accommodate everyone.

We always love coming to the cafe and the new location is great. It looks line they are going to have an outdoor seating area soon. If you're looking for a good breakfast/lunch with great prices this is where you want to be!!

I'm normally not this critical when trying a restaurant for the first time. I try my best to give places 2 or 3 times before judging but...this was a special case. We'll start with the food, we had breakfast on a Sunday morning just a little before church let out. My husband had the Belgian waffle that he said tasted gritty. We both ordered hash browns with cheese, which arrived at with the shredded cheese not melted at all since the browns were cold and seemed only partially cooked. I also had onions in my hash browns which I really wasn't expecting to have large slices of onion that belong more on a sandwich than hash browns. Needless to say the rest of the food was tasteless & arrived only partially warm. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant was cold. I overheard another customer ask if they had gotten the heat fixed. The waitress responded saying yes but that it didn't feel like it & there was nothing she could do. As more and more patrons starting arriving they sat a party of six on the side where the bar is which blocked in those of us sitting at the tables by the bar. The poor lady who's seat was in the isle of that party of six asked the waitress why did they block the walkway with her seat and they said they were getting full & needed to sit her party. So they would rather create a fire hazard and make a customer uncomfortable in order to keep seating people. Not a good first impression & I can't say we'll be back.

I was surprised that when we arrived they were able to seat a large party right away considering it was Sunday and right after church let out, but there is a large seating area. Our server was awesome and took our drinks orders right away. While some in our party ordered lunch, Melanie and I were excited about trying the omelets and we weren't disappointed. Melanie ordered a veggie omelet and I got the sausage and cheese. She got hers with toast and grits and I ordered mine with hash browns, grits and a biscuit. Our guests ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a tuna melt with chips. I was surprised at the size of the omelets because they were huge. The sausage in mine was cut large and could have been cut smaller but it worked out fine. Melanie really liked her veggie omelet and said she would order it again. My biscuit was light and flaky, just like I like them. The other thing is that it didn't crumble and fall apart, a plus in anyone's column. One thing Melanie and I would like to note, the food is unseasoned. You'll need to add salt and pepper to your own tastes in order for the meal to be seasoned properly. I actually prefer it this way since now I am trying to watch my salt intake closely. Main Street Restaurant isn't fancy and it isn't pricy, but its great food whether you want lunch or breakfast. Since we're pretty close, I think we'll be stopping in more often. Guten appetit! Read our full review: atlanta-food-critic.com/…

Maintreet is a really good all round food joint. I won't lie and say its the best I ever ate, but its really good. The cost of breakfast is about the same as a waffle house but a LOT better than there. I've had the eggs Benedict on a dozen occasions and its great and cheap. Don't go there thinking its a 5 star joint and you won't be disappointed but in all honesty no one can offer all the dishes they do and be the best ever at all of them. The daily specials are great and cheap, breakfast is usually fast, good and again cheap. I go there all the time, and i'd bring my family, friends or business associates there any time. Gail is a sweetheart and always looks out for me. Yes any good food joint gets busy and slower depending on the day and time you go, if you show up at prime time breakfast or lunch you will wait longer than at 6;00 am for breakfast, but its a real food joint any place worth its salt is going to get crowded from time to time. I'd recommend it to anyone anytime!

A local restaurant with a hometown feel. Husband and I went for breakfast one Saturday, when we walked in we were told to sit anywhere on either side of the restaurant, did I mention that they also have a pizza place? It's two restaurants owned and run be the same people. Pizza is served Friday and Saturday nights only, lunch and breakfast the rest of the week. Anyway, our waitress took our order and we had our breakfast in less than less than 10 minutes! The food was really good, nothing gourmet, more like home-cooking! Yum! The price was right, the service wonderful and we'll be back!!!

Having recently moved into the Snellville neighborhood, I find Main Street Restaurant to be a comforting culinary blessing in disguise! This small town atmosphered restaurant serves home style meals ready in a FLASH, but with no loss of quality and freshness; their breakfast choices cannot be beat for the money (I often get the two eggs with 3 bacon, or sausage, hash browns, and toast or biscuit with a coffee for UNDER $7.00); I have also fallen for their lunch menu as well as the daily specials too! Main Street Restaurant is simply heaven on a plate with a price anyone can afford! Service has ALWAYS been fast and friendly and the place stays pretty darn clean as well (even when they are swamped with business). My only gripe is that they close by 2PM as I wish they would stay open or reopen for Dinner hours; I would surly frequent them for Dinner but in the mean time, I will continue to patronize this small hometown restaurant for as long as they are open for business and I live in the vicinity. In addition, as Wendy T. mentioned, they operate an Italian/Pizza restaurant, "G' Angelos" as well; it is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 to 8:00PM, but they have the BEST PIZZA for the money around!!!! Love this place and as such rates a very solid 5 stars for quality and value!
