I recently came for dinner because I had a weird craving for soup and the Zuppa Toscana popped up in my mind. Well, maybe not spontaneously. My cousins from CT were in town about a month ago and two of them work at Olive Garden near where they live and were talking about the place the whole weekend so suddenly, I felt this desire to go, after maybe 8 years of not eating at an Olive Garden. We stopped by around 8 or 9 pm on a weeknight and were quickly seated. The first thing I noticed was the stench of a dirty washrag that must have recently been swiped across my tabletop. I really dislike knowing that servers and buspeople are just wiping table after table without washing out the rag but this is the price you pay at times when you eat out. Well, when you eat out and aren't dishing out the requisite money to ensure that unpleasant smells don't reach your olfactory receptors. Anyway, garlic breadsticks came out and we barely touched these actually. I ripped off a piece to dip in my bowl of Pasta e fagioli soup, which was excellent but decided I would rather fill up my belly with soup than bread so I got a half bowl more before my fettuccine alfredo came out. I probably hadn't eaten fettuccine alfredo for as long as I hadn't been to OG or maybe even longer. I enjoyed it though I only had half the plate. Lately I've been wanting to eat strange food... Anyway, my dish came with another classic pasta dish to take home so I grabbed the spaghetti and meatballs and passed it to AT to bring along for lunch the next day. He had the Braised Beef & Tortelloni, which is what he says he always orders the rare times he eats at Olive Garden. He polished his plate entirely, so I guess that speaks volumes. You'll get what you come to expect from Olive Garden here so whenever the craving hits, drop by and get unlimited breadsticks along with soup or salad and a huge pasta dish.

I would've given this three stars because our server was very nice, but my friend and I waited at the bar beforehand, and the bar tender was very rude. My friend ordered a beer, and when I ordered a coke, his face displayed his disapproval. Unfortunate for him. However, the table service was quick, pleasant, and as always - the salad was brilliant.

Will not EVER come to this particular establishment again. I'm really a fair person, and understand that when a restaurant is busy to expect to wait, but within the 20 minutes we were there, we were asked if a booth in the bar area would be ok, in which it was. The hostess left us and gave menus to another couple, and then motioned for us to come sit, BUT the table was dirty. Chaos errupted, glass was dropped and we decided to sit in the dining area at a table. There was no booths available, most being unclean. We sat there for about 15 minutes, watching waitresses pass us by, no acknowlegement, no water or drinks offered. We got up and left. Now we are at Carrabba's within 5 minutes have our thirst quenched and eating zucchini fritte, all within 10 minutes of arriving. C'mon Olive Garden....step it up.

I attended the Yelp Atlanta Elite event at the Olive Garden on Cobb Parkway and won some gift cards. Since I've patronized the Smyrna location and I'd never been to any other Olive Garden in Georgia, I decided to check out the Dunwoody location (where Yelp OTP held their Elite event the following night) and use my gift cards here. Immediately, I was impressed at how much nicer, inside and out, this location is compared to the Smyrna location. Whereas the Smyrna location was originally two buildings renovated and merged into one (or so I'm told), the Dunwoody location appears to have been built from scratch. Olive Garden Dunwoody is located not far from Perimeter Mall and is easily accessible from I-285. We came for dinner on a Tuesday night and were seated immediately. Like other chains, Olive Garden has a big menu or should I say menus. Each of us were handed two menus and there was a third on the table. There was a classic menu, seasonal menu, and a sort of specials menu. I'm not a fan of multiple menus, especially when each menu contains many items. It's overload. However, I did like how the seasonal menu and specials menu had bright and colorful photos of some of the dishes. Many of the items on the specials menu overlapped with items on the classic and seasonal menus. The restaurant offers an assortment of appetizers and small plates such as bruschetta, meatballs, and calamari, pizzas, soups, salads, spaghetti and other pastas (customizable), lasagna, Parmesan dishes (e.g. eggplant, chicken), steaks, seafood, and chicken. At dinnertime, expect to spend about $4-10 per app/small plate and $12-20 per entree. A dinner for two can easily set one back around $50. We ended up having: Breadsticks House Salad with Italian Vinaigrette Chicken & Gnocchi Soup Artichoke Fritti Chicken Marsala Tour of Italy - Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico, Fettuccine Alfredo Breadsticks come standard with every Olive Garden meal. It's a staple as are the soup and salad. The batch of breadsticks I had here were not as good as the ones I've had in Smyrna simply because they weren't seasoned enough. Each entree comes with a choice of unlimited salad or unlimited soup. Since we had two entrees, we got both unlimited salad and unlimited soup. I really liked the house salad. It was served in a big bowl with salad tongs. Olive Garden's house salad consists of iceberg lettuce, black olives, peperoncini, tomatoes, carrots, purple onions, croutons, and a signature Italian vinaigrette dressing. I'm a big fan of salads in general and found the salad to be fresh, crisp, and flavorful. The chicken and gnocchi soup was A-OK. The soup consisted of roasted chicken, gnocchi (traditional Italian dumplings), and kale. The soup was served piping hot and was creamy and comforting. The small bowl only contained four pieces of gnocchi and I wished there were more. Good thing for unlimited. The artichoke fritti was an app I first tried at the Yelp event in Smyrna. I liked it there and Dunwoody's version was tasty too. Sliced artichoke hearts are battered and fried and seasoned with various cheeses. Just by deep frying these things, the kitchen has already won half the battle. The fritti was served with a decent five cheese marinara dipping sauce. The chicken marsala entree was alright. It consisted of chicken breast slices, mushrooms, and garlic cooked in marsala wine sauce with a side of garlic-Parmesan mashed potatoes. The meat was tender and even juicy. I liked the mashed potatoes on this dish the best as it was satisfying and flavorful. The Tour of Italy consists of three classic Olive Garden dishes served on a single plate: lasagna, fettucine Alfredo, and chicken Parmesan. The lasagna was disappointing because it was burnt. One of the fellows sitting behind me ordered lasagna too and his slice was also burnt. He returned his slice and got a new slice from a fresh batch. I didn't say anything and in hindsight, probably should have. Below are links to a picture of my lasagna and a picture of the lasagna from Olive Garden's web site (big difference): My lasagna: yelp.com/biz_photos/oliv… Olive Garden's web site's lasanga: yelp.com/biz_photos/oliv… The fettucine Alfredo was phenomenal. It was the right combination of creamy, cheesy, and garlicky. Even the taste and consistency of the noodles were appetizing and outstanding. Without a doubt, it was the best dish of the night. The chicken parm was OK. It consisted of a breaded and fried chicken breast with a marinara sauce and melted cheese on top. Basic and simple. Service was excellent. Our server was Christopher M. and he did a great job. The rest of the staff was friendly and professional including the manager who politely greeted us as we walked in.

I haven't eaten at an Olive Garden in at least 10 years. The place was nicely decorated with very friendly staff and great service. The food as good, but not what I expected at the price they are charging for it. Over all, not too bad.

Went to Olive Garden last night for the #OGTastes event with my fellow Elite Yelpers and had a great time. We got to try 11 different Italian dishes with complimentary drinks. The new lasagna is my absolute favorite dish! It had just the right amount of cheese. Plus it was just simply delicious and the broccoli gave it amazing flavor! I have to go back to Olive Garden just for this when the new menu comes out. The new crisp risotto bites are pretty good, too. They have the mozzarella sticks feel ans give the same satisfaction just a little bit healthier for you. Their new Sangarita (margarita & sangria mixed) is prettt tasty. Me personally, I'll have to stick with either or because I like both individually rather than them together. Nice idea, though. Some really like it. Olive Garden seems to have really stepped their game up because normally I wouldn't go to a chain restaurant, but I'll be revisiting prettt soon.

So after more than a year, we have returned to this Olive Garden. The experience was even worse than the first. What a mistake. The nasty smell was present at the front reception area. The host was devoid of personality. I think everyone that works at this Olive Garden is just lazy. You people need to work out if you have such god awful energy problems. Our server, an eastern European girl, was low energy, lazy, slow, lackadaisical and boring. She was the poster child of 9% tips and why the customer should always be in control of the tip. The salad had awful cuts of lettuce, tomato and onion inside. It was like the salad prep person was just blindly chopping just to get a paycheck. Basically, I've had better salads on Cathay Pacific's economy class. That's no joke. The breadsticks were hard, old yet rubbery at the same time. How is that possible? Entrees were microwaved disasters that make Fazoli's (Italian fast food chain) taste like supreme gourmet. The only reason they offer cheese is to hide the god awful taste of the entree. This chain is a supreme and absolute insult to Italian food. I can only recommend this place to people that are fat slobs that enjoy eating just for the sake of stuffing their stomachs. It isn't gourmet, it is not delicious and it sure as hell isn't fresh. They should burn this place down and replace it with a bank or Chick Fil A. In the end, I was left with an upset stomach and a definite intent to initiate a charge back after contacting the manager. Yuck.

I never liked Olive Garden but got dragged to go here. Fine. So I come in and ask the hostess what her favorite meal is here and she says "I don't like the food here so I don't eat it". Winner.... That's when I knew my meal would be bad. How do you mess up salad ? Salad was so soggy I almost puked. The chicken marsala looked like pork chop and tasted chewy. Won't be back. Ever. To any location.

Let's be honest here, this is a chain restaurant and I always looked at it as a normal, casual restaurant. I definitely would not call this Italian food, not sure what category it would be actually. We initially came here because we had a coupon. True statement: Coupons are a great way to get a customer into your restaurant! I have come here before and it was just okay but wanted to give it another try. It was just okay again. I had the Eggplant Parmesan with garlic broccoli. The Eggplant wasn't too bad but the garlic broccoli looked as dry as a bone! Even the manager came by and said it wasn't looking so hot so they gladly brought we another side of the broccoli but this time, it was beyond over seasoned! I couldn't eat it so we just switched out for a side of asparagus. The asparagus was editable so I stuck to that. We also had to ask the manager for refills on both of our drinks because the waitress was nowhere in sight. For the price, the meal comes with unlimited salad and garlic bread so that's really the best part but I wouldn't go running back.

A colleague wanted to come here for her birthday lunch. We were a group of 6; none of us had patroned OG in the past 5 years or more. A very bubbly staff member opened the door and greeted us, while a rather surly hostess led us to our table . Quite the contrasting welcome! Our waiter was awesome, but our food, which was ordered off the pronto menu (most everyone got soup/salad/breadstick lunch), took forever. It was over 20 minutes before we got salads; another 20 minutes more to get soups and entrees. I think there was just insufficient staff for the lunch crowd. Our waiter did bring a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl, which was very kind. You get what you pay for - $7 for soup/salad/breadstick (of questionable nutritional value, mind you - just how is it that it tastes exactly the same as it did 5+ years ago???)

After my last experience/review someone from olive garden reached out and tried to make things better after my less than satisfactory prior experience. They were very nice in offering their apologies as well as an olive garden gift card to make up for the last visit. I really appreciate their efforts and thank them for their kindess, and I'm glad that there are still businesses out there that look after their customers and take their concerns seriously.

This is an above-average Olive Garden location. My rating isn't a reflection of the food selection, most people know what to expect from the chain (BREADSTICKS! SALAD!). Most of the staff here are pretty cool and the place is pretty clean. Overall, it's probably one of the better Olive Gardens in the Atlanta area.

Yes, it's a chain restaurant... who cares! There are a lot of great chain restaurants and Olive Garden is one of the best. Very consistent quality, so I know when I want some good lasagna or fettuccine, I can certainly get it there. Endless salad and bread sticks are always a treat! Staff here is great too!

I went there for the "Never Ending Pasta Bowl". I was filled up after the salad, bread sticks and first bowl of pasta. Never got the chance to order the second bowl. I would have loved a smaller serving so I could have tried more variety.

Satisfied my need for salad and a little pasta and protein. It all tasted yummy. I'm not certain why I'm not giving it 4-stars. Probably because the host was really annoying.

Worst service! Walked in and there was no hostess... which was fine because she was probably seating another guest. I was finally seated and no server ever came over to greet me. After 10 minutes of waiting I got up and let the hostess know that I was never greeted, she offered to get me the server, but I'll pass. It should not take more than 3-5 minutes to greet a table... clearly the server had other things going on... They could have atleast sent another server over to take my drink order. I'll take my money and my time elsewhere! I surely won't be back to this location!

Every now and then I just have to have that salad and breadsticks. Visited with the family as we are not Italian food snobs. Entrees were spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Parmesan, and stuffed chicken Marsala. App was the pizzaola flat bread. Now that was cold. But the manager came over and apologized and even took it off our bill. We weren't expecting that. Everything else was classic OG; salad, breadsticks and hot, tasty entrees. No complaints on the service or the food.

My fiancé and I decided after reading about how the Olive Garden has rebounded financially and seeing the commercials about creating your own tour of Italy to take a trip to our neighborhood Perimeter Olive Garden. Neither of us had been to an Olive Garden in many years, but we were excited by the promise of never ending yummy salads and intrigued to try the pasta dishes. Now to be clear, we know food. But we aren't food snobs. We are comfortable in five star restaurants as well as dives. Good food can be found anywhere. Having said that, nothing of quality from service to food to drinks can be found at this location. When we first arrived we were greeted half heartedly by the hostess. We were told there was a wait, which we expected since it was Saturday night. We made our way to the bar and I was anticipating the joy only a tanqueray martini can bring. The bartender then came by, asked us if we were waiting for a table and then walked away with virtually no one else sitting at her bar. We explained we wanted a drink while we waited which seemed to be nothing but an inconvenience for her. I tried to let it slide and think about my drink. We were then called to our table and before we received our drinks, waited on them and brought them to the table. When my "drink" and I use he term loosely, touched my eagerly awaiting lips my face twisted in disgust as my mind desperately tried to process what type of evil just entered my body. Upon closer inspection the what should have been green olives were tinged with spots of red and there was a reddish color to my drink. As a former bartender I know there are two ingredients to this drink therefore making it very hard to do incorrectly. It was an abomination. Period. Since I bartended and waited tables for years I knew better than to send it back. You will never be able to trust another thing that is brought to your table because the energy that should have been put into serving you the drink you ordered with personal professionalism and pride will instead be put into revenge that results in spending the rest of the evening holding your stomach in a fetal position on the floor. When our server arrived he saw I had a drink and I ordered a glass of wine. Something straight from a bottle that her incompetent hands couldn't taint. He didn't question why I wasn't drinking my martini the entire evening. Which was par for the course for every employee we encountered. It was apparent they just wanted their shifts to end and we were an imposition. I still tried to let it slide, take comfort in my wine and the never ending bowl of salad deliciousness that was coming my way. But unbeknownst to me, there was nothing headed my way but frustration and disappointment. And there it was.... The famous never ending salad bowl that has come into my living room every night via commercials showing happy people stuffing themselves with bowl after bowl of wonderful, crisp salad. The horrible truth however was staring at me now from a big plastic bowl of disappointment ... What we were given was salad straight out of a bag with zero salad dressing on it. I've had better salad than this hyped up garbage in a school cafeteria. And to top it off my fiancé was given a dirty plate to eat his "salad" on. The server did notice it and took it away but failed to come back with another plate. Sigh Our main course arrived and I had the tour of Italy consisting of eggplant parm, fettuccini alfredo, and portobello ravioli. It seems that chef boyardi was opening cans in the back that night, but at least it was edible. The night was a complete disappointing disaster. We know we didn't go to the Ritz, but no matter what the price point is every customer has the right to expect friendly courteous service with untainted drinks and clean plates. We received none of these things. It was the worst restaurant experience of my life. Shame on you Perimeter Olive Garden.

The only time I ever go to Olive Garden is for their unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. If I wanted some delicious and fresh Italian cuisine I would go somewhere else. But there is something about their unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks that's very satisfying. I usually have a bowl of chicken gnocchi and minestrone. On my last visit I was very disappointed in the chicken gnocchi, it lacked gnocchi. Overall the service was ok. The restaurant was very busy, but they had enough staff to handle everyone.

Oh what the heck! I love the Olive Garden. Like I really love the Olive Garden. Somehow one of my friends and I had the bright idea to go out for the least romantic, completely ironic Valentine's Day dinner known to mankind. One would think, or at least hope, that the Olive Garden would not be packed to the brim on this day that is oh so special to most. We got all decked out in fur coats and sequined cocktail dresses and arrived promptly at 8:00 PM, where we quickly realized that unfortunately the joke was on us. 1) It was an hour and forty minute wait for a table and 2) we were actually not overdressed compared to the other patrons (who were not being ironic). On a positive note, the hostess clearly did not work for PETA and complimented us on our mink furs. We grabbed a pager and hovered in the bar area, where as luck would have it, we scored two seats at the bar within ten minutes of arrival. I guess the others did not find the bar to be the quiet intimate table setting of hospitaliano that they had so imagined for this romantic evening. After 15+ years of unapologetically loving the Olive Garden, I finally figured it out! Unlimited salad and breadsticks (with alfredo sauce for dipping obvi) and skip the entree altogether is the way to go. Ahhh the breadsticks, so much garlic, and butter, as many as you want, I love them. Let's be honest here people. The $15 chicken alfredo is really not that good and you've probably eaten 3 bowls of salad and 7 breadsticks by the time it arrives. Said pasta is extra not good the next day when you reheat it despite the fact you are still carb overloaded from the night before. All three of the bartenders were super nice. Service was prompt. Really my only complaint is that I was at the Olive Garden instead of on a real date on Valentine's night. Maybe next year, but until then there is always salad and breadsticks.

  • Pat C.

Service was average.. we were seated right away. The salad left a lot to be desired. We were brought bread sticks two at a time and considering we had to wait over twenty minutes for our entree I felt that was pretty sorry. By the time we did get our food I really just wanted to eat a few bites and get a to go box and leave.

If I'm out and about and HAVE to pick a chain, I always favor Olive Garden. I love the soup, salad, and breadstick lunches and the recently upgraded menu items taste a lot better than the prepackaged foods they were putting out in years past. Service is always spot on and I have a secret obsession with the Andes mints they bring you with your check. It's that little, sweet touch that keeps me coming back. This location is a step up from most, designed as outside dining within a building similar to what you experience in Vegas. Rooflines, entryways, and other novel decorations and lighting give you the feel of outdoor Euro dining in a chain restaurant without feeling cheesy. Salads are fresh, cheese and breadsticks plentiful, and I will stab you if you steal my Andes mints. That is all.

It's just a chain nothing spectacular by any means. Menu is meh, vaguely is close to Italian. My biggest gripe is that they use tasteless California black olives, no Italian would be caught dead using these.

This was the second and last time at this location! When you walk in the door there's an ODOR, trust me you can't miss it once you are in the lobby. The first I came here I pushed it to side and didn't think much of it. The second time and it's still there...there's a problem. Maybe it's because the bathroom is close to the door but I don't want to make excuses they just need to fix it. The hostess was pretty mediocre. She had a script and stuck to it. No personalization no creativity no smile. The service was slow. The table behind me one of their dishes was brought out when everyone else was packing their leftovers. When my bread finally came out is wasn't warm and it taste like it was sitting out for awhile. The bread is the main thing I'm excited about. The food quality is what you would normally get for a chain restaurant. It was just a disappointment to me and I like Olive Garden. The only thing that gave this location a 3 star was our sweet waitress. I felt like she did the best she could with what she was dealt. She was even able to answer a question to a game we were playing at the table.

Food was decent but service was not. Never refilled our drinks, and I had to ask the hostess where our server was in the beginning. She finally came to the table yet she saw us in her section and never came to the table the first 5 minutes we were there. Probably won't be back to this locations.

Visited last Sunday night with friends from out of town for dinner. Very slow service and unfriendly staff. Had to get out of my seat to find out where our drinks were after 20 mins of waiting. No apologies from the waitress, just her complaining about the staff being overworked. Would not recommend to eat Italian here when in Dunwoody. Try Maggianos down the street at Perimeter Mall.

They do a good job at this location to provide good service and quick seating, even during busy times. My experience here has been mostly take-out. Every time, they order has been 100% correct and pipping hot and ready to go when I get there. Dine-in experiences have been mostly spot-on. My recent experience was sitting in the bar for a late lunch, and Matt/Matthew was our server. He was attentive, quick with the refills and very polite. He also had a great sense of humor and made the lunch that much more enjoyable. Overall, I would say that even when busy, they do a great job getting the food out, hot and right and take great care of the customers. Keep it up.

I went here and combined a $10 off $30 purchase with the Buy One Entree for Dining Get One Free to Take Home deal. I hadn't been to Olive Garden in maybe a decade because I don't like pasta much but the combined deal brought me in. The dinner dining experience I had was impressive and if I liked pasta more I'd be tempted to go back for that. She even said I could choose the bottomless ministrone soup while my dinner date could get the bottomless salad and of course we could share the two. The salad and ministrone soup were both quite good, especially for being all you can eat. Of course, as I remembered, the breadsticks were also excellent in flavor and served perfectly warm. My creamy citrus chicken was okay but nothing great. I also tried a couple bites of the chicken parmigiana which actually did taste better (still just average though). The 5 cheese ziti I had at home was pretty disgusting and so was the 5 cheese ravioli reheated. I didn't finish either of those. Overall, the four entrees I tried were below average (even for the value). This wouldn't be a bad place to hit for a simple soup and salad for lunch but the entrees I'd pass on.

4 stars for the service! I am definitely NOT a fan of Olive Garden. I've been to Olive Garden roughly 6 times, and every single time, I hated my experience. This time around however our waitress was phenomenal! We ordered the Classic Lasagna, Tour di Mare, Seafood Alfredo, and Potato Parmesan Crusted Chicken off the 3-course dinner menu. The lasagna was alright, but I wasn't too fond of it because I've experience better, homemade lasagna myself. The Tour di Mare was the only dish that was finished in its entirety. My boyfriend's mom got the seafood alfredo and she was not happy with it. She preferred my lasagna so I offered her my meal instead. Boyfriend at the potato parmesan crusted chicken pasta but didn't remember much about the meal. Overall, food was roughly 2-3 stars, but the overall dining experience was what marked it up to 4 because I had such a great time bonding with my boyfriend's mom talking about anything and everything and also having such a great waitress providing us top-notch service.

Breadsticks and Alfredo Dipping sauce! Enough said. Unfortunately, neither of those items are Italian. (I really hope my Italian grandparents don't see this...) Whoops! I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of anything else from Olive Garden. It really just is not that good. But noone can beat their breadsticks and alfredo dipping sauce. I'll order just these to items for take out! Once you have the breadsticks with alfredo dipping sauce, you'll never go back!

My husband and I were completely ignored by our server. She did the absolute bare minimum. She never asked us if we wanted another beverage, breadsticks, or salad. She left dirty dishes on our table that we even piled up and moved to the edge to make it easier for her to take away (they were still there when we left). We saw our server sitting with another table at one point when she was ignoring us. We are usually very good to our servers and generally tip more than 20%, but she didn't earn anything. If you go to this OG and get Racquel as your server, save yourself and ask for another server! The only reason we would ever go back to this OG is because Doug, the manager was nice to us after we expressed our disappointment. He even gave us a $20 gift card to make up for the lack of service we received!

Hello, a friend and I recently dined at the Dunwoody location and were more than displeased with our service and the quality of the food. First, it must be noted that this is not our first poor experience with this location. We were seated in Courtney's section, and it took her more than ten minutes to come over to take our drink order. She delivered the drinks, but no straws and my drink was not as requested (I requested a Coke Zero and was brought a Coke) and she also delivered bread, but no plates to put the bread on. She then delivered the salad and at that time I advised her that my drink order was wrong and that we needed straws. Another 10 minutes goes by and she finally brought my drink over. It is also important that I mention that she only had our table and two other tables at the time, for a total of three tables. My friend and I were paying attention to the other tables as well, who were also upset with the service of Courtney. I placed an order for calamari as an appetizer and requested that I not receive marinara sauce and instead get two peppercorn sauces. Instead I was brought basically a half order of calimari (but not half price!) and it was barely warm and the marinara sauce that I didn't ask for and only one peppercorn sauce. I didn't want to send it back because at this point service was already very slow and I was afraid it would slow our actual meal down even further. I also asked for a refill of my beverage after my glass sat empty forever and my check made it to the table before my refill came. She finally brought my refill, but it was in a kids to-go cup. Needless to say, I just hit the high points of frustration in this review, but there were plenty more disappointments. This experience basically sealed the deal for me with this Olive Garden location and quite honestly, if they closed their doors for good tomorrow, I wouldn't be sad to see it go.

When the smell outside the restaurant entrance reeks of rotten eggs and trash, you don't necessarily feel at ease despite the friendly greeting from the hostess. In fact, the smell was so bad that I asked our hostess about it after we were directed to our table. She just nodded knowingly (and amost in a dismissing manner)- she must've heard this complaint quite often. She basically said that it had something to do with how the building was constructed, and how their waste gets processed...etc. It didn't seem to bother her, as she mentioned that they receive a 99 health score. Um...hello, the health scores are for conditions on the INSIDE of the restaurant/kitchen....just sayin'. Anyway. The majority of our party of 4 got the buy one dinner get one free deal. The meals came with a choice of soups that were overly salty and which were probably designed to keep you from ordering another free portion of soup. Don't get the "garlic alfredo" pasta- it's completely bland. I'm rather thankful I didn't order it (my poor friend did). The presentation of the 4 cheese lasagna was actually decent- the flavor was okay as well, but the portion was pretty small. I'm thinking..."Totally suckered into the 'buy one get one' deal".... What kept us from ditching the restaurant before even going inside due to the smell? Gift card. Had to use it sometime, and the spot wasn't really close to where we live. Bite the bullet of a 'meh' meal...you win some you lose some....

Hey Peeps, it is what it is- Olive Garden. Get your expectations in check. If you want some fancy, authentic Italian dining experience, head to someplace in Buckhead- or up the street, actually. I dropped in here for a late lunch around 2:30pm on a Monday. It wasn't busy at all, I was greeted promptly by a friendly hostess. My waiter, Nathan, was very nice, and cute! Only problem was that my food took forever to come out of the kitchen. Again, it wasn't busy, and all I ordered was Chicken Scampi. It just took WAAAAY too long, and I told them I was on a lunch break, which the kitchen ate up. Also, I asked for sweet tea to go and got disgusting peach tea. Boo.

I'll admit it. I love chain restaurants. Any time I get to the suburbs I grab dinner at one. I doubt I will be going back to this Olive Garden though. Atmosphere: Typical Olive Garden atmosphere. Lots of little booths, some tables, and kids. This place has a weird smell. They need to replace the carpet. Service: Hmm...where's our waiter? Our waitress was stuck with a big table so another waiter started us off with water and wine. I wish they would just assign you over to the other waiter or not seat the busy waiter's section. Once our waitress had her attention away from her big table service picked up. Food: The stand-in waiter comes to give me a glass of the house Chardonnay. There's hardly any left in the bottle but he proceeds to put what little there is in the glass. The Olive Garden has these sneaky little pour lines so you never get a decent pour - but this pour was below the grape marker. He said he would be back with more wine. Eventually our waitress did show up and put new fresh wine on top of the rancid wine. I should have asked for fresh wine but oh well. Salad was delicious as always. Bread sticks were not as fresh as they usually are. For my main dish I got some type of shrimp. It was ok but not very flavorful. My friend got the soup and salad combo which I should have done. However, her soup was more like stewoup with no broth in it. She said it wasn't that tasty. Summation: I've been to this Olive Garden a couple of times before. I don't remember it smelling this bad, but the food has never been that good. If I do go back will go for the soup and salad combo as their salad is delicious.

I CAN'T HELP IT OKAY. I KNOW IT'S A CHAIN BUT I LOVE THEIR UNLIMITED SOUP, SALAD AND BREADSTICKS. uggghhhh I know people either LOVE or HATE Olive Garden.. I really like it. Okay, fine, I love it when I'm in the mood for it. The breadsticks are perfectly fluffy and savory. The salad is fresh and super tasty (love the tomatoes, the light dressing and the cheese they add on top). The soup - omg. There are about 4-5 different types of soup you can choose from but I personally always go with the chicken and gnocchi soup. The chicken and gnocchi soup is a cream based soup with soft pieces of chicken that just melt in your mouth and tasty gnocchi (which is like, a potato ball) plus some spices and a few small veggies (carrots, celery, spinach). If you go for lunch, before 4pm, you get this unlimited dealio for 6.99. Honestly, if you eat one helping of salad, soup and breadsticks, I think you've gotten your money's worth right there.. however, I usually get a second bowl (of the same) and happily stuff myself. Even if you're getting it for dinner, it's about $9 or $10 and deliciously worth it. This particular location had Dominique behind the bar serving us (we sat at a booth in the bar section) and she was absolutely lovely - friendly, helpful, funny and prompt. It's also 2.5 minutes from my home.. so I will be back.

I just got back from the Olive Garden at this location, and I have to say that of all the Olive Garden locations I have been to, this is the worst. First of all, my tiny 6 ounce steak was $18.99. It is literally the tiniest steak I have ever seen. And that's fine because I knew the price before I ordered it. However, the steak was dry with no taste whatsoever. The asparagus that came with it didn't have a lot of flavor either. I took one bite, and it was dry. So I decided to give it another chance by taking two more bites, and that was it. It wasn't getting any better. I told the sever. She got the manager who came and asked me what the problem was. After I told him about the dry steak, he proceeded to say I must've liked it because I seemed to have eaten most of it. I told him the steak was tiny and I only ate three bites. Then he said, "Yeah, it was a 6 ounce." So if you knew it was tiny, then why did you say I ate most of it? He then asked me if I wanted something else. No, thank you. I did not want anymore not-so-good food. They did not charge for my item, but I did not appreciate his attitude. In addition, the hostess wasn't the friendliest, and the guy who showed us to our table was not, either. Judging from the way the manager handled the situation, no wonder the employees didn't have the greatest attitudes. Overall, not a good experience and will not come back. Also, the bathrooms were dirty, and three out of the four stalls didn't have toilet paper.

THERE IS A SEWAGE PROBLEM AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!! THE SMELL ENTERING THE ESTABLISHMENT IS ONE OF SEWAGE!. I'm forced to share my experience the 2nd time at this restaurant. The first time I received dirty wine glassed and my friends food came out COLD!. Disgusted I contacted the complaint line the next day. The store manager (I assume) called me apologized and sent me a gift card in the mail. So, I decided let me try them again (5days later). I get to the door the odor was still there. The bartender said it was the next restaurants grease compartment. Which I thought well why hasn't this been handled with the restaurant then? Which the restaurants sits at least a block away down a hill! And why would the odor be directly at your doors. She couldn't explain. I ordered at the bar this time. And she was great! However, there were some servers coming to the bar (one girl in particular). Cussing and complaining. Along w/a lazy guy waiter who had 3 tables behind me. So, the bartender jumped in waiting on tables and also preparing drinks. She also, was waiting on people sitting at the bar. THIS PLACE IS A MESS!! I would stay clear. You are better off going a few exits up 400 to Holcom Bridge Rd exit. They are 150% better than this place!!

Olive Garden is a great place to go grab Italian for lunch or dinner. I come here every so often to catch up with friends. I like the garlic bread and salads. I usually switch back and forth between the usual appetizers/entrees I get. Appetizers: -Stuffed Mushrooms -Calamari Entrees: - Eggplant Parmigiana - Fettucine Alfredo - Capellini di Mare (dinner menu) Overall, love the food. This place in particular... service could be a hit or miss depending on the staff working.

This Olive Garden is pretty standard as far as the restaurant environment and food goes. There is a little inconsistency in the food taste and preparation, but it's all still good as far as Olive Garden goes. I still eat it and am satisfied. There are a few on staff who are extremely helpful and friendly. After forgetting my $5 coupon at home once, Quinn (is that his name? I think he's a manager...) said he'd take care of it for us so I didn't have to run back home. Thanks!! Chris or Tira are both great servers! They are both attentive and friendly. Chris definitely remembers us. He's the one that kinda looks like Kevin Bacon. Tira (pronounced "Tie-ruh") was soooo extremely patient when I brought my two indecisive, unknowledgeable parents there. She kept a smile the whole time and catered to their interesting requests. They're both great, and ask for them when you go! Standard food for when you don't want to cook but with above-average service.

OK, I can't believe that I am giving Olive Garden 4 stars, but after living in Dunwoody for 12 years we finally got" to go "from here because we were craving pasta and it was very good! We all liked our dinners, my daughter got ravioli, I got spagetti with meat sauce, and my husband got soup and salad and they were all great! I know this is a chain, and being a foodie we usually eat at more upscale custom restaurants, but were were very pleasantly suprised how good the food was here! Good service, good prices, and good food even for a chain!

I when here for dinner with my family and my hubbs was in love! He loves pasta. I was admiring the rock walls very HGTV(ish) but my food was great and the sangria was amazeballs best in Atlanta (seriously)! The service was great as well!

This Olive Garden is always an acceptable destination to me. It's clean, offers good service, and, probably like Olive Gardens in general, has plentiful portions. We didn't really take advantage of the unlimited soup, salad, and bread, will try to do that in the future. On this visit, I ordered the Lasagne Classico, which was good but a bit of a soggy mess. We also bought a bottle of their salad dressing to take home--tasty and not too expensive, and one of the appeals of going here.

I know Olive Garden is a chain but I really really like this place. The ambiance is wonderful and the waitresses we've had here have always been great and so accommodating, especially when I ask for more bread (I love their breadsticks!). We recently went for the 3 course meal special and really enjoyed the unlimited soup option as well as the little dessert you get at the end. If they're still having the special next time I feel like going, I'll def get it! Beware of weekend nights as they can get extremely busy and the wait is not fun.

Service at this particular Olive Garden is kinda like indigestion; something just doesn't sit right and you're bothered by your experience for a couple of hours. Yes, I SHOULDN'T be supporting generic box restaurants. I shouldn't even be giving them attention by writing a review. But, every so often, I don't know, it sounds like a good idea. The food seems consistent. Typical of a chain restaurant, the food stays the same give or take small details. But, more that anything, my issue is tied in with the slimy way that the servers at this specific location act. In my experience, you can always tell bad restaurant management by the employee turnover. Yes, in the service industry, it's naturally high. But, every time that we've come here, it's a server I have NEVER seen before. And every new server face comes with that recent-orientation-training-optimism with a dash of that short-lived company loyalty. Servers here are perky and are very motivated to squeeze $5, $6, $7, $8 more dollars out of your dining experience. And, they don't hide it well at all. In fact, Olive Garden's version of customer service ends up looking like a food-serving-used-car-salesman (ie. clumsily, yet aggressively, trying to persuade the customer to purchase an add-on, maybe sausage, maybe dessert, maybe a $4 drink after any contact with you). Here's my personal experience: I order an appetizer as an entree. I like this one appetizer on the menu, but it's quite filling, so I order it as an entree. I'm sure I'm not the only person who does that there. The appetizer's price is the same as an entree and it's served with the rest of my party's entrees. But, after the rest of my party's salad arrives, the server outright refuses to get another plate for me, and I've only ever asked nicely. I've witnessed some servers go out of their way NOT to give out extra plates. Perhaps it reads better in the Olive Garden Server Manual. Really, what does it cost Olive Garden? I tip well and I'm polite, so... give me a damn plate. This display is where Company Store ethics clash with true customer service. This is what we, as consumers, have been left with to digest, as the new chain restaurant definition of "customer service", one of self-service and "you're coming back anyhow, so, why bother?" attitude. I, like other Yelp reviewers here, wonder why this place hasn't closed yet. Maybe, it's because of Prom Night and Homecoming. Or, maybe it's because people come here to buy the Olive Garden image and not quality. Yes, that's what brought them through the front doors; to listen to Harry Conick Jr (why on earth is he playing on the speakers??) and the only Italian American, according to fake Italian restaurants: Frank Sinatra. If you're willing to donate your funds to this corporation, just remember that quality is assumed here, but it's not a promise.

Oh and to add to my last review, as we were leaving we stop in the bathroom and as soon as you walk in the whole thing smelled of urine and the stall I used was FILTHY. Toilet paper everywhere and pee on the floor, I stepped in it which is disgusting. Grrrr not happy

OK, so I really had a thing against Olive Garden for a long time-- I just didn't like it! I went back recently for the first time in about five years and I have to say, I'm impressed. They've really stepped up their game! We go with a small group for a meeting, and they're always very friendly and accommodating, the servers recognize us and automatically split the checks, and are very helpful with the expanded wine selection. I love the endless pasta, salad, and breadsticks-- I'm pretty excited to save my fat kid points for those nights! Plus, the new wine list is actually pretty decent and I'm impressed all over again. If you're looking for a chain restaurant with a solid, inoffensive menu for the family, I'd definitely vote for this Olive Garden!

Priscilla should not have a job. She had a horrible attitude, and i could overhear her interactions with other people in the building. She is not kind. When i saw another person on this website had written a review...specifically about Priscilla....i couldnt believe it!

We were here for a friend's birthday recently and had a real good time. The staff were very attentive and friendly, offering their suggestions and being very approachable. Our wine selections were great as were our entrees. I had the shrimp primavera and it was nice - served piping hot and succulent as ever. The portion was a bit too large but for a real hungry person might have been just right. We had about 10 guests on the table and everybody was happy with their meal. A good experience overall.

2 for $25! Dee J and I had a great time here! Our waiter's name was Alejandro-so go figure. The experience at Olive Garden is largely gonna be the same wherever you go, its the service that makes the difference. Our waiter never let our glasses empty, kept a basket of hot breadsticks at our table, and gave eye contact with a smile throughout! Stellar. Make sure to ask for this young guy when you go, he will be sure to make you gol on and give that extra star :)

If you're in the mood for pasta, have little cash and want something to fix your craving, Olive Garden is the go to place. I admit, I really do like their lunch special: breadsticks, salad and soup. I also think Olive Garden is decent at accommodating large parties. I feel like every time I go, there is some massive group there. To re-iterate, I am not recommending Olive Garden as a great Italian restaurant. To me, Olive Garden is the "fast food" of Italian, but hey, if you have little cash, it will perfectly do!

Olive Garden's pasta is usually overcooked, but the whole wheat linguine is al dente simply because it's chewier to begin with. This makes their pasta dishes tolerable. We visited this Olive Garden today because my wife wanted the Never Ending Pasta Bowl ($9) in addition to the unlimited soup and breadsticks (or salad and breadsticks). I got the same deal. Her Asiago Garlic Alfredo was so rich it forgot how many mansions it owned. Half of it stayed on the plate when she exchanged it for a bowl of penne with meat sauce. My Tomato Basil Caprese was tasty, and I had a second serving with Five Cheese Marinara (known elsewhere as Aurora sauce: tomato sauce mixed with a creamy sauce). Our server, who was (and I say this with admiration) gayer than Carson Kressley, provided friendly, attentive service. He couldn't have made up for the acceptable but mediocre food, but who could?

  • Fratty F.

I went there last Friday, and I authorized a $15.35 charge on my credit card. However, the waitress, Priscilla D, decided to tip herself an extra $4.00 on top of that. When I called the manager, she acknowledged that the credit card was improperly charged, but the manager only offered to return the stolen funds, and did not seem particularly surprised or distressed by the news of this fraud. Why? And how the does this restaurant get away with this? If you do come here, at least stay away from Priscilla D. She has no issues tipping herself whatever she wants, and the management lets her get away with it. Disgusting.

This Olive Garden needs to work on training staff to be consistent with the business model of the company. I ordered a glass of the sauvignon blanc and they were out. How can you be out of wine? We ordered the marinara sauce for our bread sticks. Had to wait for it and then when we got it, the quality was bad and portion small ( got charged $4 for it as well). Bathrooms were dirty. It was a slow night, but they had the patrons crowded together in a section with not a lot of room between tables ( a lot of bumping and difficult to maneuver with small kids). At the end, did not get the mints we normally get with our check.

I don't eat at many chain restaurants but Olive Garden is great for a quick lunch. I always order the soup, salad, and breadsticks. The staff understand that many who come in for lunch are people on their lunch breaks so they are quick and the food is hot. They are also great at anticipating if you need another bowl of soup or salad or another basket of bread.

I went to Olive Garden for lunch with a friend. It wasn't busy and only one person was sitting out on the patio, but they told us they couldn't seat us on the patio. They must have really been understaffed that they weren't seating people outside or even inside at a quick pace. I had the soup, salad, and breadsticks lunch and while the salad was good, and the breadsticks were good, the soup wasn't that great. It could also be because I wasn't brought the soup I ordered but just dealt with it and ate it anyways. I did order the alfredo dipping sauce for the breadsticks, and that was very good. I would give Olive Garden another chance if necessary, but it's not anywhere close to the best Italian food I've never had. Plus it is a bit pricey for unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks.

I'm rating this review for customer service, food presentation and the atmosphere and overall experience. We've all ate at chain restaurants before. The brands are the same from state-to-state, but the service is what needs to be rating (rolls eyes). The service at this particular restaurant was quite warming from the host that welcomes you in by holding the door to the majority of staff members saying goodbye as you leave. The food was just as I expected from a chain restaurant, the temperature and presentation were a +. The overall experience was a 3 out of 5 because obviously the one location out of a few hundred can't change some of the "problems" most people are rating on. If that's the case, you need to write a comment on Olive Garden page. The customer service and overall experience should be the main benefactor, not how you didn't receive a plate for salad when you've never paid for one.

I took my family and motherinlaw while they were visiting. EVERYTHING went wrong. The order took soooo long, the drink were wrong then never refilled. All the orders were were wrong, completely for got my daughter's meal. Our waitress was MIA most of the time. We got comped a dessert for the hassle and the dessert came out wrong! It was like the waitress made one little mistake and then just spiraled down uncontrolably from there. While she was nice, it was the most screwed up service I've ever had. BUT when I complained to the manager, he comped out entire check (which was a lot!) and assured us if we gave them another shot we would not regret it. Well we have been back and never had any issues again. It was a bad service, but I was SO impressed with how eager the manager was to make it right and he more than did. Kudos!

I went to Olive Garden against my will. Previous to my dining experience, I was actually proud of my record of never eating here. But I went with a bunch of friends who were very determined to go here. I tried to fight it, but in the end, I had to follow the crowd. We went on a Friday night and the parking lot was completely filled as expected. We were really worried that we might end up waiting for 2 hours, but when we went inside, the seating hostess told us that there was no wait. Whoa, no wait on a Friday night dinner? Totally lucky! So we got seated very promptly. Our waiter for the night was so friendly! He made us feel so welcomed. He was very helpful with the menu, but was not pushy in any way. We ordered Calamari and Pizza as appetizers. I felt indifferent about the pizza, but I really didn't enjoy the calamari dish. I prefer my fried calamari to be crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. Well, calamari was juicy.. including the breading. Who wants to eat mushy fried calamari? Definitely not me! I don't exactly recall what others ordered, but I ordered Five Cheese Ziti al Forno, which was screaming "Mediocre." But everyone exclaimed that my "bland" pasta dish was the best among all our orders. Since the portion was very generous, we went home with bags of containers, filled with tasteless Italian food. Still, Olive Garden is a great place to dine with friends, if they are cheap, don't really care about the taste of food, and craving Italian food.

Food is completely horrible. Seasoning is not in Olive Gardens' vocabulary. This business needs to completely start over from scratch or just simply go out of business.

Service-Good (we were there just before the dinner crowd) He kept the coffee coming and cleared away the dishes promptly. Food-Average-We had the soup and salad. I had the Gnocchi Soup( I didn't care for the dumplings) and my coworker had the Pasta Fagiloi(sp) Soup. She really enjoyed her soup. We had the Sampler Italiano for an appetizer. The stuffed mushrooms were delish! The ravioli and calamari I could have done without. We have a Carrabbas in the area so if I wanted Italian that is were I would go. If you are looking for decent soup and salad I would say go here.

ok we all know olive garden isn't really traditional italian food but it's not bad. i like the 5 cheese baked ziti and it's a little salty. i noticed some restaurants add salt to cover the fact that they don't know how to season. i go here when i want to have pasta but don't want the high prices. the unlimited salad is a good idea. the breadsticks could be better. i LOVE the chocolate molten lava cake. what is with the silly outfits the waiters wear? who are they kidding that this is a fancy establishment? anyways, good place to go for dinner w/the kids or grandparents - b/c it won't be too expensive. one of the door ladies tries to talk italian all the time and it's creepy.

The Olive Garden has decent Italian dishes. I say "decent" because their food tastes like something I could easily make in my kitchen and I'd like to think that I am a "decent" cook. The thing to go here for is the salad and bread sticks. Also, the last time I went to the O.G. I tried a new dish - the Venetian Apricot Chicken. Probably the best thing I have had here. At this particular location the service generally sucks. This is the closest O.G. so I just deal with it when my friends want to go. Olive Garden is never at the top of my list.

The wife loves this place for some reason so in the interests of domestic harmony, I decided to take her somewhere she likes instead of dragging her to another BBQ joint....that's next weekend,LOL. Anyways, the food here isn't that bad n my opinion for a chain restaurant and I would come here for the bread sticks and salad alone. For my entree I had carbonara...that wasn't the entire name but I can't remember the exact name at the moment. Basically, it was pasta with chicken and shrimp with an alfredo sauce. The wife had the lasagna, which is what she always gets. I've had it also and their lasagna isn't too bad either. Of course, the meal came with their signature breadsticks and also their salad. It seems like they are skimping on their salads a little. I seem to remember getting more salad in the past, on Saturday we barely got enough to cover the bottom of the salad bowl they brought it out in. Our server was very attentive and kept our glasses full and the manager also came to our table to make sure everything was ok. The only real problem I have with Olive Garden is that the plates are always VERY hot when your food arrives. If you're not careful, you'll have to go to the burn unit at North Side Hospital after you get done eating,LOL.

This was a complete shocker for my family and I just out enjoying the fourth of July. The silverware is not properly cleaned at all. We just happened to look at the silverware we got when we were seated and there was dried up food on there. We went through all 4 rolls of silverware and each fork had the same thing on all of them. The salad plates had dried up food on them. By far it was the worst experience that I have eve had at the olive garden. If that wasn't bad enough, the waitress kept asking if everything was ok and I had to tell her no and look at this. Every piece of rolled up silverware they gave me had some type of dried up food on it. Finally the manager came and it wasn't any better. She gave me a brand new roll of silverware and there was a molded piece of food stuck in the fork. The waitress then stated that she didn't have anything to do with overseeing the silverware. I'm sorry but I was a hostess and waitress and I know for a fact that everyone is supposed to help get the silverware ready for the guest along with the table set up. Never again will we go to any olive gardern again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
