Older diner. Not fancy. Seasoned staff that know the menu well and very friendly. I ordered a meal (Sampler Platter) and didn't care for one of my sides (extra Poppers). The server didn't hesitate to return it and gave me two small cookies for the hassle. Very chill atmosphere. Soon as we walked in the door we knew we wanted the Arnold Palmer (fatty) which means lemonade with sweet tea. The other option is "skinny" with unsweet tea. Even got a cool tip about where the outlets are for cel phone charge. #winning!! Country fried steak is very hearty. I appreciate local business that isn't overcrowded and has a good vibe. Prices are fair. $10-15 per entree.

I thought this place was top notch! Seriously, had none of the issues that others have commented on here, so, maybe they've improved their game. We were in the area on business and were looking for a fast place to eat. There are so few options right here that we figured a diner would provide with fast food, albeit probably pretty lousy food. Boy, were we very pleasantly surprised! Each one of us enjoyed our meals, even stealing bites from each other's plates. Would totally go again!

The food and service were mediocre. When asking for a water our server brought only one when there were two if us sitting there. When we asked for to go cups for our coffee they only brought one. Overall the quality of food was diner -esque, cheap but not too bad.

Very good experience food was tasty and fresh. We had the lunch specials country fried steak, and California chicken sandwich.

I waited all the way to get home from a cross country trip to write this review. I was really displeased with the restaurant and the meal. First off, from the moment you walk in you're confused. The counterfront and some of the decor are reminiscent of eastern style restaurants (Such as a Buddha statue and various decor) which was confusing because I initially thought by the name it was a "Down home" style diner so I thought that was a bit unusual. However sitting down and opening the menu with my fiance I noticed that there was an extensive selection of mediterranean cuisine (With other things) along with more traditional American fare which confused me further. I really only wanted a hamburger so I found it on the menu and my fiance ordered the shrimp basket. Apparently the shrimp basket came with a soup or salad which my fiance didn't want and told the waitress who rather aggressively asserted that she HAD to have one or the other. What's the big deal? My Fiance politely told her she didn't want either and to not serve it with the meal. The waitress again aggressively insisted that she had to have it and then asked if I wanted it. I said no and she just started scribbling on her notepad saying that she was going to talk to the chef about it and they'll give her something. Really what's the big deal? Just don't serve it, we weren't asking for anything off the price! Just don't serve it! So we got the food and my fiance got the shrimp basket with some steamed vegetables on the side (The waitress again saying that she HAD to give her SOMETHING in place of the soup or salad....I don't get it either.) and then gave me my hamburger. First bite of the burger (Mushroom and Swiss burger) I knew something was wrong. It tasted too sweet and had a strange aftertaste, however it was 11 at night and we were both tired and just wanted to get to the hotel so we ate it. Later that night I got a really nasty bout of indigestion and was suffering with it throughout the entire night. My fiances stomach fared only a little better. Either way, wouldn't recommend this place.

The curry was very good. That's right curry at a diner! We were surprised how delicious this dish was. It had the right amount of spice with authentic flavors. The only thing missing was a side of naan. Service was cool, the price was good for the portion size. What would make this place even better? Clean the clear dividing glass bricks in-between sections. Oh, and the cookies at the counter are fresh and delish.

Still one of my favorite places to just eat and enjoy conversation. No frills, good service, good food. Welcoming atmosphere. Terri the server has become a friend.

Food here is pretty good. For a 24hr joint it's better than anything you're going to get at Steak & Shake, but the highlight here is the desserts. Their cheesecakes, pies, and layered cakes are INCREDIBLE! Huge portion sizes - one is enough to split multiple ways and the flavors are both original and fun. Go there! You won't be disappointed

Open 24 hours!!! What a great find! I decided to give this place a try after Yelping the immediate area for restaurants close to my hotel. My first visit was such a great overall experience for me that I just had to return before I left town. I had the country fried steak during visit #1, and dare I say that it was the absolute best CFS I've ever had, anywhere. The breading was light and flavorful, the meat wasn't gristly whatsoever! The gravy I think is what shocked me most; flavorful, not overly salted or seasoned or leave a flour aftertaste in your mouth. My second visit put their corned beef hash and eggs in front of me, and was equally satisfying. Generous portions, good flavor and consistency... the only downside if I absolutely H A D to choose one, is no hash browns. I took a slice of their carrot cake to go to have the following day. It was better than most carrot cakes I've had in restaurants thrice as posh! HUMONGOUS!! Enough to share! Service both times were absolutely stellar, thank you kind waitresses!! Even the service help working the floor were attentive and responsive in keeping my beverages topped off and dirty plates bussed. I'm confused as to why others have given this place such shoddy reviews, frankly. Uhhh, actually... upon a more discerning read of what they had to say, I'm really not surprised LOL. Look... if you are in the area, are hungry, and looking for a casual environment which to enjoy a freshly prepared meal served up plentiful and hot in quick fashion, stop by Georgia Diner. Both times I dined here, I didn't see one scowling face from other patrons. You get out of anything what you put in!! Make sure you save room to try that carrot cake!! Mahalo for reading!!!

Stopped by because it's open 24 hours, and I was in the area. Normally, I go to Marietta Diner. So I was expecting something similar with extremely large portions of food, but it is quite different! The place was pretty empty (with the exception of a large group), but it still took a while for the hostess to actually come and seat us. Service as a whole was very slow and a little awkward. Otherthan that we got exactly what we were looking for. All of our food came out hot, tasted good, and the entrees we ordered were reasonably priced. I will say that I wouldn't necessarily choose this place as a dinner go-to spot, but if it's 1 am and I am in the area I wouldn't be opposed to eating here!

Such an mediocre place. I'd say this place is a step up from Waffle House. The few perks: open 24 hours with an array of brunch items. Service wasn't terrible. The waitress did come by and checked on us. The food was by far nothing my friend and I couldn't make at home ourselves--french toast with ham, bacon, and 1 sausage. It was super plain, and a tad overly salted. There is a dessert display if you still want to hang around after the okay meal. Oh. And you pay at the front register even though the waitress does bring you the check. Don't just sit there and wonder when the waitress is going to swing by to get the payment. lol. Overall just another diner place. The food wasn't terrible or anything, but it wasn't awesome either.

I'm a regular here at Georgia's Diner. I like it mainly because it's 24 hours, and if you're craving a bite to eat late at night. Other than the usual McDonalds, Waffle House & IHOP... this is the place to go! From breakfast to dinner foods, and desserts. Made fresh to order. Their burgers are good, the fried chicken platter always does the trick for me. Last night I recently tried the 5 piece chicken tenders. Very delicious! Normally, when I come they're not crowded and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Which is always a plus for me when choosing upon whether I will give continuous business to an establishment.

Unfortunately, other yelpers calling this place "mediocre" is true. First, we ordered a sweet tea and unsweet tea. After a not-so-english-speaking waitress confirmed the drink order "twice", she bought us 2 sweet teas. XD Then other waitress came to our table and took the main order. We ordered a breakfast and fish & chips on busy Sunday afternoon, but it took 30 min. to come out. I thought we had to ditch the meal and go for the former engagement. Food was ok, diced tomatoes in the scramble eggs were barely warm and cooked, fish & chips are nothing special for the price we paid for. The bill was $27. Almost same food quality as Waffle House or less, but they are way cheaper and faster to serve the food. Don't get fooled by the way of the decor and think they are fancier than Waffle House in food and service quality. They are not, and way more expensive.

We haven't been here in about 6 months. No improvement. Came in for breakfast last weekend. It wasn't busy. Th service was slow, the food was undercooked and cold, it took 25 minutes to even take our order and we couldn't get a refill on drinks so we just paid and left. I really like the owners but we won't be back.

We try to find diners for breakfast near by in Duluth. We stopped here to try it out. It's a little dark and outdated. The staff was friendly. The food mediocre, what you expect out of this type of place. I am not sure I'll go back. If I had to, I would I guess.

Eggs, potatoes, grits, sausage, bacon all precooked and comes out room temperature. Country fried steak was worst I've ever had. Breading was greasy and soggy. Tasted like uncooked flour and gravy was bland. Service was slow and unwelcoming. Won't return here ever for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Dated menus, needs a revamp in there.

First I received a huge beef patty as a steak! I spoke with the manager who appeared to be very cordial with other customers but was extremely rude to me.at first I thought it may have been me until my companion had mentioned her rudeness as well!

I was craving burgers one night after studying for so long so I wanted to try something new. Definitely wanted my food to-go so I came in and ordered the cheeseburger and a belgian waffle. I had the burger at medium well and I'd say it's a pretty good burger for its price. Although, I've had better burgers, this one satisified my cravings. The fries that came with it weren't the best. They were somewhat crispy and very oily. But, I also wasn't in the mood for fries anyway so it wasn't a big deal to me. The belgian waffle was okay, granted it was a little hard to cut in since the moisture from being so warm in the to-go box made it a bit soft instead of crispy when I got home. I'll try the belgian waffle dine-in next time to see if there is a difference. Overall, the burger looked nice and not soggy looking like a burger from McDonald's and it was delicious. I would come back there to taste their desserts and try some other things off their menu. I liked the interior of the diner as it was really nice and enough light that's not overbearing or have that fluorescent lighting at Waffle House. It was very homey and the service was good, even for a to-go order.

Very mediocre. I understand it's a diner but geez. My eggs were cold, bacon tasted like greasy super crunchy beef jerky. I've never had bacon I didn't like. The home fries were more like mashed potatoes and the sausage didn't even look edible. :( waitress were at least nice. :) I won't be returning for breakfast maybe I'll try for lunch next time but more than likely not.

Not worth trying. Very friendly and quick service. There are far more breakfast places to eat at don't waste money here. I feel bad posting this but this is the purpose of yelp to read feed back.

I went here for a quick breakfast. Eggs were good, grits were meh. Prices were reasonable for the quality. The reason for two stars instead of three was the painfully slow service. I think I'll stick to Waffle House in the future.

I love this place. I never Yelped about it because I wanted to keep it to myself, but now I lost my chance to be "First". Ugh, idiot! Anyway, it's not that the food is exactly good (ONLY order breakfast items), but... Just something about this place. Always order some variation of an omelet :)

I've been to many diners over the years, and so many of them are just really bad. However, today was my first time at the Georgia Diner. I went for lunch... great service while I waited. I ordered the club sandwich which was delicious and had fresh ingredients (avocado, tomato, etc.)! The only downside is that it's just outside the Perimeter up I-85. I don't live or work there, but I know that when I'm up in that area, I will certainly dine there again.

They're open 24/7 which is great because I can never find anything for vegetarians after 11pm (other than Taco Bell -yuck!). I had the Veggie Euro and fries. The ladies in front were friendly but the food was just ok.

I used to live nearby many years ago and enjoyed dining here. Food, atmosphere, prices, and service were great. Boy, things have sure changed around here! It must have been a bad day for the owner when I came to dine. While we waited for someone to take our order (10 min), we must have seen about four parties come and leave their booth because it took forever to get someone to take their order! 15 min later, our food finally arrived (after being told several times before that the food was on the way shortly). The last time I was here, I remembered the beef tips were pretty tasty. Well, that was then, this is now. First ten out of nine bites were nothing but tough gristly meat. My wife was getting grossed out seeing me pull gristle out of my mouth and placing it onto the plate. I had quite the aftermath pile forming when I finally decided to send it back. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak this time. 15 min later, I get something that just wasn't appetizing. The bread was falling apart and there was more cheese than cheesesteak! My experience here left much to be desired. The owner was short handed on staff, the food was mediocre, the atmosphere was rushed, and the apologies were plentiful. When we finally left the restaurant, we actually saw a group leave after getting no service and walking over to the Popeye's chicken place! On a side note, my wife said her gyro was good and the fries were fresh to the taste. Would I come back again? Probably when new management and cooks are in place.

This business is nothing less than shady. They advertise that they are part of Rewards Network. But their credit card machine at the register does not connect with the system. After three visits, I learned that they maintain a second credit card processing unit that is not available to customers but meets the requirements to be part of Rewards Network, which process various kinds of credit card rewards. While the food is okay, service is slow. My trips there have been for breakfast -- and for a diner breakfast it's fine. But I won't go back. If they falsely advertise participation in a promotional program, then what other things are they doing?

Not sure what's going on with The Diner, but the food and service were of very poor quality. Several items were out and our food arrived in stages. The syrup came in packets and the soda was flat. A real let down. Won't go back again.

I went about 1PM on Sun. It was busy but not crowded. I was greeted and seat quickly. A young man came and took my drink order and told me someone would be over to take my order. The waitress was friendly and patient as I made a decision. After 10 min of deciding, I decided to play it safe with bacon, eggs and grits. LOL. The food was ok. Nothing to get excited about. I have had better but I have had worse. I would pick this place over Waffle House anyday.

So I came here for a quick bite and ordered their 10pcs lemon pepper wings. After 15 minutes the waitress brings me a plate of dried wings and told me that they were cooked fresh. The wings looked old and were flash steamed. The waitress and cook refused to make fresh wings.

Came out to breakfast with an old friend of mine while visiting Atlanta, and this is where he suggested we go. Upon entering the establishment, I was pleased by the over whelming aroma of coffee, it made me grin like an idiot. We were sat at a comfortable table before the cake display and promptly asked what we'd like to drink.. COFFEE! was the resounding choice. That was delivered before we could blink and we both decided to order something equally delicious: He ordered the Thrilling 3 based solely on the name and I got myself the Farmer's Omlette. Both items came out quickly and perfectly made to order. Truth be told, the only thing we actually had to ask for was a refill on the coffee and a glass of water. The food was delicious, the coffee was amazing and the conversation was even better. We were not rushed, we were not hindered in any way. And by the end of the morning, I even purchased myself a slice of the Seven Sins chocolate cake. Lord knows it looks tempting enough.

I'm from the Northeast where there's a diner on every corner, and unfortunately there aren't many down here. That said, I love a good diner and was excited when I found this place. What a let down! Everything about this place is run-down and gross. I felt gross sitting in the booths, let alone eating the food. They don't even have fresh salad dressings. Blech.

Racism is still alive! I ordered a turkey club and it came with cold fries and burnt bread, and the 7 sins cake was old and stale. After the horrible food I was usher out the side door by an elderly woman who was clearly anxious for me to leave.

We had just arrived to the area and tried to scout out a quick dinner spot but only found a plethora of Asian cuisine. We found the Georgia Diner and it seemed like a nice clean place. Outside looked good. Inside was a little strange. I had the country fried steak, wife had a chicken with spinach and mushrooms and my daughter had a burger. We literally left about 90% of the food on out plates when we left. Nothing was prepared fresh, nor cooked with any flavor what so ever. It was apparently ordered frozen by whatever food service company reheated in the kitchen. Not impressed. At all.

Had breakfast there this morning at 7. I was the only customer the whole time. That should have been a warning. The food was below average - the sausage patties had several pieces of gristle in them and, while cooked thourgh, didn't have a nice brown crust, just grey throughout. The home fries were overcooked - just mush, instead of crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The deal breaker for me, though, was the food sanitation score - down from a 95 to an 80 - the lowest B. I won't be back.

I am the Organizer of a Foodies Meetup group. We travel around the Gwinnett County area and hopefully enjoy the various restaurants and their fare. I had 13 people at this meetup yesterday and we really enjoy getting together. We talk, eat and enjoy each others company. Our visit to the Georgia Diner was less than previous visits. The service was great, but the food was subpar. Mash potatoes were cold on more than one plate. Pork chops were over cooked and tough. How do you make cabbage on a stuffed cabbage tough and hard to cut. The filling and sauce tasteless. My wife had the fried catfish, which she enjoyed. The desserts looked really good and hope they were. We will not be going back there. Should have went to Hooters up the road or Popeye's next door.

This is one of the best places in Lawrenceville. The classic diner food is here the best. Dessert is amazing. The staff always greet me and my friends and treat us with the upmost respect even though were college kids and we get the assumption that were noisy. If you haven't tried there food yet, go now. I always get one of there many burgers.. Way better than other places (5 guys, farm burger, and grind house). Occasionally I switch It up and get there wings. Price is good too. I have nothing to complain about. Definitely recommend.

Service was good food was below average. Somebody in our party couldn't stomach the baby back ribs. Someone else tried them and said they were just not good. I had the turkey burger and fries it was fine, but not something I'd come back for. They accommodated our group of nine on a Saturday night with no wait. This may have been a sign. They had a bunch of cakes on display I didn't try them but they're there. Diners are hit and miss with what you order so it could be we just missed the good stuff. The waffle looked good, but I go somewhere else for those ;-). Overall it was simply an average diner experience. Fair prices good service and average/below average food.

fast, friendly service. the food is meh. i've had better. the mac and cheese just doesn't taste right. something is missing.... oh yeah FLAVOR! i had their burger and the tomato was not fresh. it tasted horrible. but... they have some killer french fries. so delicious. don't sub the fires for anything else. that's the one thing you will enjoy.

When in town this place is a staple for lunch. While it's technically a "Diner" the food is of course varied but actually delicious..the best part is that the folks that work here are friendly and caring. My last meal here was the last week of January during the "Atlantica" snow storm, and these folks were the only ones open along Pleasant Hill Road. We've used them for catering and every time they deliver, Stop in and try the Angus Burger or the Curry Chicken

Food is awful. Service is slow. Even for diner food, this place was absolutely terrible! We tried the cheeseburger with onion rings and the Philly cheese steak with french fries. The onion rings were over battered, the fries seem to be fried twice, and the food was so greasy that it didn't have a taste. We will never ever ever eat here again ever. We want our $22 dollars back and the last 40 minutes of our time. The only positive was that the music was nice classic oldies.

I had lunch with a large group on Pleasanthill Rd last week. We ate at the Georgia Diner. These ladies were unbelievably good. We walked in with almost 30 people, were seated within 5 minutes, and amazingly, all near each other. This was almost too good to be true. The Gyro platter was outstanding - although the fries were so/so. I should know better than to eat fries anyway! My buddy had the Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger -- pretty damn good he said! (why he got a cheeseburger at a Greek place amazes me!) From start to finish - we were there about 1:10 minutes. Pretty good for a large group. When you add in the great service from the owner and one of the waitresses, it made for a great experience.

Popped in for lunch with a group of like 25-30. Conveniently located (walking distance) to the Sonesta Gwinett Place where our weekend workshop was being held. We were seated in a separate dining area in the back and from what I could see, we were seated, orders taken and served fairly quickly. We did not sit all together at one big table, but the colleagues I sat with were all satisfied with their food. I was here back in April for the same workshop (different group) and can say they have been accommodating and friendly on both occasions. The food is of at least average quality and on par for other diners I have been to. The service and staff on the other hand are above average. Definitely worth a walk over if you're at the Sonesta and want to eat outside the hotel.

Hmm... maybe I'm not a fan of breakfast food, but anyways, my little sister, Crystal H, brother and mom came here for the first time. We wanted to try it out for a while but never really had the time to try it out. Anyways, my mom and I shared the Georgia Diner breakfast meal ($6.95) which came with 2 pancakes, eggs (scrambled or fried), 1 sausage link, 2 bacon strips (which I thought were very crispy), and fries or grits (either or). It was a lot for me because I cannot eat a lot of food. The grits was bland, so I had to add salt and black pepper to it for flavoring. Overall, it tasted like plain grits. Nothing special. The pancakes!!! Oh my gosh!! The pancakes tasted like Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I think it was the cake batter. Hmm.. not sure.. but it sure tasted like one especially with the syrup on top! The syrup and butter are served on the side. The egg.. I had mine scrambled. It was like any other egg.. but the thing was.. it looked like left over scrambled eggs.. didn't look appetizing at all! But I was really hungry so it didn't bother me that much. Our waitresses (there were two in the diner) were friendly. I would come back again.. but I'm not sure I'll order the scrambled eggs here.

Honestly, this isn't the best place to eat. I always get regular french toast and it is always consistent. The coffee could be a higher quality but it gets the job done. I wish they had options of milk rather than creamer. Some of the waitresses are extremely attentive but the majority are rude. When I sit down at a table and the waitress doesn't even say hello but jumps straight into demanding a food order, it rubs me the wrong way.

Great service here; unfortunately the food is just average diner food. If you have a hankering for some diner food, this will probably satisfy it but I highly recommend Marietta Diner instead. This place is just off I-85's exit 104 and surrounded by a bunch of eats. It has plenty of parking with many booths and tables inside. It's brightly lit with the cake display off to one side. I've read about the cake but have yet to try them. Our waitress was cheerful and able to answer our questions about the large and diverse menu offerings. I ended up going with one of the omelettes and found it to be a-ok. I'm not sure whether I finished it or not since it was a pretty large portion. Overall, an unremarkable experience but nothing to complain about.

I have been here twice. Both times service was exceptional. Food is okay and plentiful, but you pay for the price. Like any other diner, the menu here is extensive (gyros, sandwiches, dessert, salads, etc). Nothing special, but not a bad place to stop by to grab a bite.

I've eaten here a few times over the years and always been pleased. This time I was with a large group and was amazed at how well they accommodated us. Very friendly and helpful staff. The Cobb Salad was excellent although the wrong dressing was delivered. It was so good I decided it was a better choice and never mentioned it to the waitress. My friend had the Asian Salad and said it was very good and was pleased with her choice. Located within an easy walk of the Sonesta Hotel where I was staying on Pleasant Hill Rd near Hwy 85 and a good choice for a quick lunch or dinner. We were in and out of there in no time. They have a large and varied menu. I like that.

Food was good. Ordered the roasted turkey with the mashed potatoes. Turkey was juicy and the gravy was great. Service was alil slow. I had to ask for my check after waiting for about 15 minutes for that same check. Ice coffee wasn't that great.

With the Fiance's suggestion, we pulled into the Georgia Diner's lot in order to give them a tryout. A quick read of Yelp reviews of this place reveals some mixed reactions to the atmosphere, service, and foods that Georgia Diner offers; I will state that there are some overtly glorious reviews for Georgia Diner that I truly cannot fathom as corresponding to this location. Despite being a prime dinner hour, the parking lot of Georgia Diner was nearly empty; in comparison, the "TGI Friday's" next door was PACKED! Seeing the sparse parking prompted my diner senses to tingle with a hefty WARNING, but I was overridden with a natural curiosity of experiencing a new place; I really should have listened to my diney sense! Upon entering through the two sets of doors, we where immediately suspicious of the overtly decorated, dark and grungy feel of the place; the vibe was dismal and BLAH and probably wouldn't have been any better even if the small, sorry line of neon around the interior roof-line where actually lit. Further interior observations revealed ceiling tiles and airways in dire need of replacement and heavy cleaning; dirty floors; disgusting bathrooms; scattered unbussed tables filled with crusty dishes and silverware, dirty glasses, and used napkins; two tables of patrons with looks of despair. We where about to turn around and walk out when a waitress appeared out-of-nowhere and ushered us to a booth. Being seated by said waitress, menus placed, drink orders taken and eventually brought to the table, the Fiance and I had plenty of time to read over the diner offerings and observe our surroundings. As is the case with many a diner, the menu is a plethora of mixed cuisines; all day breakfast, lunch, diner; American, Greek, Italian for the most part. My Fiance, born and raised in Jersey, noticed a lax of a Chicken Parmesan choice and stated that, " this is 'The Diner Standard' of any diner she has even been to"; she was a bit put off with the omission to the menu as this would have been her choice of order. I, on-the-other-hand, wouldn't have noticed the omission being that I never had a good Chicken Parmesan from any diner. A good fifteen minutes pass and one round of drinks emptied brought the return of our waitress for our food order. The Fiance decided on the "Chicken St. Marie" and I chose the "Beef Stroganoff over Pasta"; each choice offered from said in-house printed menu a soup or salad option with two side choices and a roll -- Fiance chose a house side salad with Italian dressing along with Rice and steamed vegetables accompaniment to her entree. I chose the Chicken Noodle soup and didn't get an offering of two sides to my entree as our waitress whipped away in a hurry (I later found out that the soup and pasta where my two sides to the Beef Stroganoff entree. That wasn't what the menu listed). Glasses left empty and no silverware placed, our waitress returned with our Salad and Soup in very short order. Finally noticing a displacement of eating utensils, she lazily fetched some. Glasses left empty for a third time, the Fiance started into her salad and I into my soup. The house side salad is mostly chopped Iceberg lettuce with a few tidbits of onion and tomatoes; it was a very small serving with the Fiance stating, "the onions tasted weird and the tomatoes where hard and tasteless cubes". My Chicken Noodle soup arrived in a pitifully small sized cup (three soup spoonfuls and it was gone) but tasted homemade and was rather good. Another fifteen minutes or so pass and our Entrees arrive. Diner menu pictures (or any restaurant menu pictures) are rarely accurate to the table serving but Georgia Diner's has redefined the art of food picture forma slight! My Fiance's, "Chicken St. Marie" consists of a spindly one and a half butterflied chicken breast coated in a kind of Lowry's Seasoned salt with a few small almost burnt slices of lemon on top; this is accompanied with a small portion of stale and flavorless white rice and three pieces of small, sorry looking steamed vegetables -- one multicolored tiny, tiny piece of broccoli; one small yellowed cauliflower floret; one slice of carrot --; all this for the price of $15.00! My "Beef Stroganoff over Pasta" is a soupy and tasteless mess! It was a very watered down cheap cream of mushroom soup base with a splattering of cheap canned soup sized small beef cubes and some cheap small sliced black colored mushrooms mixed in and ladled over a small bed of extremely overcooked, tasteless, and mushy fettuccine noodles; absolutely deplorable presentation and disgusting creation for the price of $13.00! Our blase' waitress finally filled our drinks mid diner presentation. There was no offer for deserts, coffee, or drinks to go. No administration of quality checks from waitress or cashier. Totaled to $34.00 sans tip. Paid, left, and will not return.

A good respite from the chain restaurants surrounding this diner. The service is friendly, attentative and helpful, the menu offers a good variety including some daily specials, the food itself is good. For lunch I had a half club sandwich & side salad combo. Not, 5 star dining, but solid, good diner fare.

My favorite greasy spoon! I stop by here on occasion for an egg and cheese biscuit - they fry the egg instead of pour it from a container, just they way I like it. All yolky. Mmmm. Probably not the best place for the cholesterol conscience, but the staff here is full of interesting characters that will tell you some stories. And they are a great stop for a late night meal after a long night out.

Since we moved here a few months ago, we've been here a couple of times & had exceptionally friendly service & very good food. Compared to prices in Kansas City, the prices are very reasonable.

Always fast, always courteous and always good. Not out of this world good, but very consistent and always a pleasure to dine. The burgers are always great. The entrees are always good. The salads are always fresh and the home cooked style meals are always flavorful, filling and hot. Fast food served with a happy staff. Ask the staff about their desserts. If they are fresh, which they will be more than happy to inform you, are out of this world. On occasions, I have had the desserts a couple of days old and not near the experience as the fresh desserts. The all you can eat baked chicken is good. Well flavored, juicy and filling although the pieces are a little undersized but that is where the all you can eat comes in. I have never ordered more than a second plate, but inexpensive and good.

Keeping in mind that this is diner food and not a 5-star restaurant.. This place, about 10 years ago, was pretty good. We'd actually seek it out. Over the years it's gotten pretty bad. The meats are mediocre and the veggies taste like they're out of a can. I went there a for my final time over the Summer. I figured, "Ok, cheap food and they're right here." After eating that meal I finally decided, "not again."

Grits were runny and nasty! Bacon was tasty, the real winner was the many, many cakes, pies and cookies!

Stopped there last night (2/17/2013), because it was within walking distance of the Marriott where my family and I were staying. We had originally walked into TGI Friday's because it was familiar to us and located right next door to the hotel. At Friday's we were told there was a 45 minute wait, so we popped over next door to the Georgia Diner which had no wait at all. Man, are we glad we did. The food was excellent (I had the lasagna, the others had breakfast items); and we all enjoyed the lemon mouse & white chocolate cake. If I come back to the Atlanta/Duluth area, you better believe I will make it a point to enjoy the Georgia Diner again. I'm convinced it was way better than anything we could have found at Friday's. Our 4 adults and 4 kids were all very happy. The service was exceptional and the prices were very affordable.

For $16, we got enough food to feed us for two meals. We were looking for salads and boy, did we get them. They were huge with plenty of vegetables and grilled meats to really fill you up. The atmosphere is your typical diner with nice wait staff who made sure our drinks never emptied. Open 24 hours, but no alcohol, if that's what you're looking for. Nice experience.

Overall - a pleasant experience. Parking lot was empty, so I was concerned about the quality. Only three other customers in the restaurant the entire time I was there. The food was average to good. The bacon was cooked nearly perfect to my liking. The only down side was the waffle. It was very chewy and soft. My son called it a pancake waffle. If I travel through this area, I would give them another shot. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive.

I have been coming to this place since before Georgia diner was here ( used to be a pollo tropical). Anyway, this is another one of my places to get work done. The food is typical diner fare, you can order breakfast any time of day, lunch, and dinner items along with different pastries. The place is owned by a really nice family who strives, and they encourage their employees to strive to ensure you are 100 percent satisfied with your meal. When i eat breakfast i order the vegetarian omelet, lunch i order the chicken salad melt (with onion rings), and for dinner i order the Greek salad, or the Greek plate. Portions are very generous. Now if you want to try the best bread pudding ever, you have to try the one they serve here. I go many times to get work done on my computer and just order a bread pudding & coffee. Last time i went i was served the bread pudding and it tasted different!! i spoke to the owner and she said she would bring back the old bread pudding, so hopefully it is back. I can't say this enough, try the bread pudding, you will love it. That's about it, if you want to go to a family owned restaurant whose wait staff treats you like family, then by all means stop by.

Surrounded by chain restaurants this diner will make you feel like family and the service is incredible. The food is better than any chain/franchise restaurant. Had dinner two nights in a row while attending a conference in Duluth, and each night the employees greeted me with a happy smile and converse with me. Something that is lost with most commercial establishments. Servers are attentive, polite, and helpful with suggestions. If your ever in the area, do not pass by, stop in and experience the difference. By the way, the cheese cakes are homemade, Recommend the million dollar cheese cake. You will know why it is called million dollar after the first bite. Hey, there is no waiting in line either.

A person who's hungry at 3AM can't be picky. However, if they find themselves in Gwinnett near the Georgia diner, they don't have to be. This place offers good food at a good price. They're menu is quite extensive. Everything can be found here from standard breakfast food, to contemporary American food, to Italian and Greek. My advice to you is this. If you stick to food you'd find in a standard diner, it's all good. Their sandwiches are tasty, their breakfast food is great, their dinner selections are pretty good, and I imagine their Greek food is good too, but I wouldn't really recommend their spaghetti. If I had to name a single dish that stands out, it would be the french onion soup, I highly recommend it. If you're in the neighborhood and hungry, this place can't be beat.

It's true the service leaves a lot to be desired. It seems to be run by a family and some of them can be a bit surly. Other than that, I always loved the food. I used to get the chicken princess, and have not found anything like it ever since : ( Great place to dine late night. It was much better than Cats. I want to go again and again.

Hmm, food was alright, but the service was much better. They need to trim down their menu by at least 1/3 and concentrate on what they do best. I couldn't get a straight answer as to which items were the most popular. (Is this an Italian place, a Greek place, an Indian place in sheep's clothing?) This is a common flaw in diners though, so perhaps they're right and I'm wrong. Anyway, I suggest ditching the laminated menu and going w/ a printed menu that's easily updated. My fried chicken was competently prepared (though I probably wouldn't order it again), as was hubby's chicken fried steak. The chicken noodle soup was quite good, and by extension perhaps the matzo ball soup would be good as well. But, I have a feeling that I would have liked their breakfast foods better, so if we go back again, I'll try that.

ummmmm. this place was horrible. Me nd the hubby came here 4 dinner and man o man was it bad! I have have been to many diners good and bad, but this one was pretty bad. So the waitress told us to find a seat without welcoming us. Then we waited 25 mins for her to take our order. I ordered the gyro wrap and sweet tea with just an ok greek salad and the hubby ordered lemon pepper wings...... lolz the gyro was great wraps chain typical not fresh meat like at a greek restraunt but it's a diner so I wasnt surprised. But when the hubby got luke warm soggy wings that tasted old like they were made a day before nd thrown in the microwave I was pissed! I was so mad that they had the nerve to do that but I kept my cool and after flagging the waitress down and waiting 15mins until she felt like coming to the table she took them to the kitchen. So I figured well there you have it, fresh wings on the way :-) WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The biotch just had the cook dump the same wings into the grease and reserve them to us and they were dark brown almost burned..... so when the waitress came back and said how was everything I handed her the untouched wings and said the gyro was ok but these wings are even worse than last time.... So she apologized and offered free cake. We accepted and it was delish since its from the same cake distributer ost diners use in atlanta. The bill for my gyro, salad, and 2 sweet teas was 18.00 smh! I wont be back!

Everything you could possibly want available 24 hours a day! Can't get much better than that! It's your typical diner with greasy food that tastes great. I love the 2 eggs any way breakfast with hash browns and toast all for $2.95! Their grilled cheese and fries is also a personal favorite. The owners are very nice and the wait staff is always friendly and personable. They know their regulars and appreciate the business.

The only reason I give this 3 stars is because of the chicken fried steak I ate was pretty good and our waitress was super quick and very nice. Our waitress Louise was one of the sweetest people I've ever come in contact with and she said some funny things. Our ketchup bottle was almost empty and she said "in my house you should not have an empty bottle of ketchup" and brought us a full one. When it was time to get our sweet tea refilled she said told us we should never had to ask for a refill and that she was sorry we had to ask for one. As far as the other folks food at my table they told me it tasted like frozen food and the cocktail sauce with nasty which was made by Kraft. The place has black and white pictures all around framed by a gold frame and they sell a bunch of random items including shirts. As far as desserts their cakes are huge as well as the slices you get when they cut you a piece. The slice almost fills a 10" plate. I would have tried some if I wasn't so full, but a gentlemen on the next table was very content with his slice.

you know, it was ok. if i was craving diner food, i'd go here (mostly because of proximity). i couldn't help but compare it to marietta diner, which is probably very unfair for any future diner i visit. if you have the choice, i'd say definitely go to marietta, but this place is by no means a bad decision. it is what it is, a diner inspired by greek and mediterranean culture. i went with a group of 6 and most of us ordered breakfast food. their menu is pretty extensive by the way. we heard the omelettes were good so a couple of us ordered those. i ordered the greek omelette with the gyro meat added on for $1 which came with my choice of grits or home fries, and toast or pita bread (or, i later learned, a biscuit). i ordered the home fries and the pita bread. the omelette was good, it had feta cheese and tomatoes and the gyro meat was a good suggestion from our server. home fries were pretty good and the pita bread was a good choice because they toasted it lightly. other people ordered a gyro, chocolate chip pancakes, and a sandwich. it all looked decent. nothing out of the ordinary. it's a good place to go if you're in duluth and want diner food. you're not going to be blown away, but you'll enjoy a nice meal. portions were not too big and not too small. and we had a group of 6 on a sunday at lunchtime and it wasn't too busy, we didn't have to wait for a table. i'm not sure how busy it gets during the week or for dinner.

Hmmm... I came here in a half stupor after the Styx concert at Wild Bills. (Yes! I went to a STYX concert and it was fabulous!) We ordered the jalapeno cheese bites, which weren't that great. Everyone else loved them, though. Then I think I ordered eggs, bacon, and hash browns. It was okay. Nothing compared to the Waffle House. But it is open 24 hours, so that's a bonus. We had no wait and our waiter or waitress was quick and nice. (Can't remember if it was a boy or a girl.) Our total bill for 4 people was less than $25. I don't think I'll ever go back unless I'm leaving another concert. It was like Simon Cowell says, "forgettable".

This is the place I go for breakfast. I also like their club sandwich. I tried their dinners, but am not a fan. I like their greasy plates, forks and spoons. I like that heavy coffee cup. It makes me feel like I am eating at a diner. That is important. Go heavy on the salt, extra grease on them eggs, dump the syrup on them pancakes, more jam on those toasts...

We met our friend 'Dre here today for lunch. Louise (that's the mama of the waitress team) hugged us welcome, and brought waters right away. The lunch specials ($7.59) included Chicken Curry with rice and salad, which caught my eye right away. I asked Louise if it was good, whereupon she brought over one of the Indian ladies who own the restaurant, who described the great pains they take to make their curry authentically. Done! My wife ordered Asian Chicken Salad. We were both happy with our choices. Curry was nose-watering good, full of flavor. I could come here once a week and be very happy. Louise, I love ya, honey!

I visit this place all the time! The customer service is wonderful. I've had the burger which is okay... and the Country fried steak which was AMAZING! No knives needed! My fiance loves pretty much all the breakfast items.. all food comes out piping hot and delicious.. if you are in the area, give them a try. Don't be turned off by the decor...oh and the dessert case.... *drooling*

i went there on sunday afternoon for breakfast/lunch a few weeks ago and i find this place just so so. my friend had a hamburger with fries that people were raving about and i had breakfast. the breakfast isn't anything special......just like any other diners or chained breakfast joints. the hamburger was good but not like people are raving about. i think there are lots of places that are better or as good as this place. i think the sign in the front said $3.99 hamburger but we were charged $6.99 or $7.99 for the hamburger. i thought i was mistaken and saw the wrong sign....but after i paid and as i was walking out...it clearly said $3.99. i didn't even bother to go back and complaint about the price b/c the waitress was nice. i just won't go back there again...even the food was ok, the service was very good, the deception of price is not cool.

My best friend and I stopped here on the way to North Carolina while we were on a road trip. The service was excellent; our waitress was a bit older than the standard college fare we are used to (living in a college town), and was obviously a career server, and it showed in her kindness and speedy delivery. I had the eggplant parmesan po-boy, and it was delicious. My buddy's meal was also stellar. But, yes, the service was excellent: my water glass was never empty, and we never found ourselves lacking napkins or any other thing that we needed.
