We weren't too sure about going to this place because there was only 2 reviews, so we took a shot with this restaurant because we wanted to go different place (we always go to China Star Buffet). King Buffet is VERY awesome and it feels like you are in a night club. The food was very good and offered different and plentiful food choices, from the Buffet, Hibachi grill, and sushi. The people that work at King Buffet are friendlier compared to China Star Buffet... China Star Buffet is good but very limited in their selection. In my opinion, this place is worth the money!!!

Ok...Went there for the first time to try them out. Sushi bar was very good despite the sushi chef not having a good personality. I think the problem there is language with the employees. They do not speak English very well but despite that they tried. The food was good. Great variety for the value. Several soups from hot and sour to miso and egg drop. They even have food for the kids and for folks that want roast beef and baked ham. The oriental food is a must try and even the hibachi grill. (sushi chef doubles as hibachi cook) ?? Decor is very nice. Bathrooms were clean but out of paper towels. Cashier spoke good English and was cordial and asked how our visit was and if we had any problems. Good place to go after church on Sundays and also with a group. Dinner $9.25 ayce. Would give them 4 stars real soon. Will surely be back again.........bon apetit

I don't even like buffets, and I love this place. The food is good. The price is right. The servers are friendly. What's not to like?

Love the new place!!! Selections are the usual chinese-food style buffet: honey chicken, lo mein, egg drop soup, and a couple of other selections you dont usually see in chinese buffets like steamed catfish with teriyaki sauce garnished with sesame seeds, clam chowder (???!!!), and the steamed bok choy. The place is fairly new, and once again, I will get on my soap box and warn everyone that for the most part, all chinese buffets (especially around this area) have the notorious reputation of being "off the fa-shizzle-wizzle" on the first year they are open. After that, the variety of the food and the quality dwindles. But for now, I am all ears!! Sushi bar was great! I dread the day when they start serving 'impostor sushi.' So far they served the usual suspects of salmon roll, tuna roll, about five sashimi, PLUS specialty sushis- they had one that was just like the "volcano" roll, and although what they have was not as good as the actual sushi-place, it will do at $6.75 per person during lunch! WOW. we cannot and will not complain there! The teriyaki catfish was my favorite. I usually wont go for catfish unless it's fried, but I took a leap of faith and do not regret it! Steamed bokchoy will always be my fave, and this place made my tummy happy. It was cooked PERFECT - crunchy, but not raw, and the most perfectly seasoned bokchoy I have had in a restaurant - and this speaks very highly! The fried zucchini was alright, the soups were good and fresh, and everything else is somewhat above your average chinese buffet. Then again, we came during the busy lunch hour so the food was constantly fresh, and again, the place is still somewhat new (no more than 6 months at this point, I think.) - but what earns all five stars is the combination of freshness, not overly seasoned food, and the very low price. I do suggest for the service to be a bit friendlier -- their workers should really smile more (and I sincerely mean this.) So there you have it. I now say goodbye to Atlantic Station and hello to King Buffet! Our next, go-to quick lunch spot!

My partner and I always stop here and eat when in Douglasville ..we are picky. They have a good selection of sushi and fresh and wide assortment of hot and cold food. I would differently recommend this place to stop and eat.

I have returned a few more times since the first review and I must say it is consistently great! Food is fresh, refreshed regularly and the place is very clean. You should try it, it is the only one I recommend. Please avoid the filthy and roach infested one on Fairburn Rd in the Ingles shopping center.

Every single time I've come here (which has been 3 times so far), they have the freshest food stocked. Even came here close to an hour before closing one night, and they still had fresh food on the buffet! The service is always prompt and friendly, and I eat to my heart's desire, variety as far as the eye can see! This has quickly become my favorite Asian buffet.

I'm beginning to think there are no real great Chinese Buffets here in Georgia. The only thing I liked was the price. That was at least decent but there was a lot to be left desired in the selection. One of the manager (or waitress') kid was running around, there were flies buzzing about (not appetizing at all) and a general sense of WYSIWYG.. All set... we will not be returning.

Mediocre at best. The food was ok, but could have been better. Also, our waitress didn't understand English that well when I asked what choice of drinks they had for children. I had to repeat myself a few times. I have to agree with Kim R.'s review in regards to the desserts. My cookie tasted like burnt cherries, and the ice cream is kept in an uninviting deep freezer. At the very least, the ice cream should be kept in a clear top deep freezer, or they should invest in an ice cream machine. There were no major problems, but there was nothing special about this restaurant that would make me want to go back.

Standard Chinese buffet. No major problems but nothing that had me feeling like I would want to come back. The sushi selection was small and just ok. This place reminds me of the cheap buffets on Buford highway just much cleaner. Our service was decent.

I recently migrated to Douglasville and it is always hard to find Chinese buffet that i can trust... I have only completely trusted 1.... Until I cam here last Saturday. The restaurant was very clean, the waiters was very attentive and friendly, and the food was GOOD AND FRESH!!! I always check the buffet before I am seated and I didn't have to walk to far before I could see I would love this place. ALL of the food was fresh and it tasted awesome. Every item has an excellent balance of flavor (Not to Sweet, Not too Bitter, Not too bland). You can tell they actually take their time to cook each dish and not just throw out leftovers. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the seating space is a little cramped and I was seated next to a door that read "Sprinkler Room". This place is AWESOME and the BF and I will be sure to return!

Terrible fast food Chinese food. It's not authentic. The food tastes like something that should be sold in the frozen section of a grocery store. The stuffed mushrooms smelt like dog food. This was my first and last visit.

My fiance, some friends, and I visited this place a few days ago. We went for dinner. At first the place was nice, clean inside, and looked pretty good. Had lots of selections of food you will have a hard time finding elsewhere. Such as octopus. But 2 things happened that made me really not like the place. First I left my phone there on accident and when we tried to get it back they claimed they never had it. And we confirmed that the buffet was the last place I had the phone. Second, and more importantly, my entire group and I got food poisoning from eating at this establishment. I would not recommend this to anyone. I was very disappointed.

My family and I stopped here for our friday night dinner. The food was good, its cleaning and the people are very welcoming. One negative the desserts didn't have much flavor, a lot of the cookies had no taste at all. My husband has a big sweet tooth and he was not pleased with the dessert selection. He was also disappointed that they didn't have a ice cream machine.

My wife and I have eaten here several times and we always both leave very full and satisfied. There is a wide variety of Chinese and more traditional food, so there is something here for anyone's taste here. The buffet area is always very clean and well presented. For the price, about $10 person, you can not go wrong.

The menu was changed a little today for Mother's Day. The staff was just as polite as non holidays. Everything was fresh and hot. This is always a good choice for my mixed family of vegetariana and meat eaters. Thank you

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
