Hong Kong City Chinese Restaurant Overall: 3/5 Price: 4/5 Food: 2.5/5 Service: 2/5 Overall: Decent dirt cheap Chinese fast food. Quantity over Quality here. They are open till 2 am. 1 entree enough for 2 if your both not starving. Price: Entrees were 7 ish each and app was 4 each. You have the option to get a smaller entree for 5. Delivery is 2. You get a lot of food for what your paying here.... Food: We ordered the crab ragoon, beef lo mein and mongolian beef. Crab ragoon tasted more of sweet cream (no crab flavor). However it comes with 12 and they are pretty good so i didnt care too much. The beef lo mein was very very oily but the flavor/seasoning was decent and came with a lot of meat and noodles. The mongolian beef tasted like the beef lo mein - nothing too different - it should have been less oily and spicy/salty. However, it did come with a lot of meat and veges as well. Service: Lady on the phone was friendly and professional. However I was told delivery would take 30 mins, it ended up taking 1 hr. After payment, when opening the bag of food, we noticed the oils of both entress were spilled everywhere making everything very oily and cross contaminating the flavors. The sauce for the crab ragoon also exploded in the bag furthering the "explosion" of mix flavors and sloppiness. Additionally, the food was luke warm which was a bit disappointing.

I ordered from here knowing it would be an easy, cheap dinner and didn't have high expectations. I called in an order and it was written down wrong so I received the wrong food after almost an hour of waiting on a Sunday right before 5pm. Not really peak time...I ordered chicken and broccoli with shrimp fried rice and received shrimp and broccoli with chicken fried rice. Normally I'm not a complainer, I know mistakes happen, but I dislike both of those dishes. So, I called and they offered to bring the correct dish, but asked me to give back the wrong food. Again, I don't like the meal I had, but I would have been happy to give it to a friend and take it as compensation for their mix up. Now it's over 2 hours after I originally ordered, I'm extremely hungry, AND am paying extra because the incorrect dish was more expensive. With customer service like this I will be taking my business elsewhere. Buyer be warned.

So I love egg drop soup. I order it every time I get Chinese food. My problem is consistency. The dish can't possibly be that complicated, but I've had some BAD egg drop soups before. The soup here is consistently good and that makes me happy. The rest of the menu? Ehhh it's alright. Just your standard cheap Chinese delivery. Other items I've tried are hit or miss. I usually get the beef fried rice, which is just fine. I got the sweet and sour chicken a couple of times and it's just too greasy with way too much batter on the chicken. The crab rangoons are alright, although I am 99.9% sure that there is zero crab in there. It's just sweet cream cheese, which is fine with me because you get like, 12 to an order and they're cheap as shit. Service is fine. Delivery is almost always within the quoted time. The reason they get three stars instead of two (because I've definitely had better) is because the other cheap Chinese delivery joints near me are even worse. Yikes.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
