Enjoyed our visit, especially the breakfast and talking to the owner Sharon. If staying at an eclectic B&B lodge in the woods sounds fun to you, then you'll probably like this place.

My husband and I stayed at Lily Creek Lodge this past weekend for one night on a quick getaway to Dahlonega to enjoy the wineries. My husband booked the Montana Room for us which had a queen bed and a separate sitting room. The room was spacious for two and was clean. However, it was just kind of overall old, run down and dingy. The weirdest part was the bathroom. It was super small and I have no idea how a larger man would have fit in the shower or even be able to close the door while using the restroom. The staff was nice at check-in but I was surprised to not be offered any information as to where things were located on the property. I kind of assumed there might be some information left in our room but there wasn't so we were left to find the pool and other amenities on our own. Once the office was closed we realized that there was Wi-Fi. However, since we didn't know the password we weren't able to access it. All of these things would have been nice to have either been told at check-in or to have an information sheet in the rooms explaining. We enjoyed the food at breakfast but it would have been nice to be told what everything was that we were served. The only downside was the coffee. I'm not sure if it was instant or not but that would be my guess. My overall conclusion on Lily Creek is that it was fine. If you decide to visit last minute and other lodging options are booked up or you are trying to be frugal, it's an option that will allow you to stay close to the wineries or the square for cheap. However, if there are other options available, it definitely wouldn't be my first pick.

This place is dilapidated and in dire need of extermination and renovating. This place offers breakfast but I wouldn't recommend eating there because the cat walks all across the kitchen and tables and the food comes out with fur throughout the dish. The rooms are very dusty and the towels and bed linen reeks of mildew. My husband left with but marks all over his body. We cancelled our second night and was promised a refund that we never received. The owner is passionate about her property and called me all kinds of liars when I complained. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Hidden Gem in North Georgia. The establishment was very clean, extremely comfortable, exquisitally decorated and had great food and coffee. We were there during the off season and could only imagine how beautiful it is when everything is in full bloom and when the pool and deck are open. Close to area winerys and it is possible to drive to Helen for the day. The staff was very friendly as well as the other patrons in the dining room. Would highly recommend staying here. The rates were extremely reasonable considering the abundance and quality of the breakfast and fairy tale like atmosphere in the woods.

We stayed here unexpectedly when the weather squashed our camping plans. Lucky for us. It wasn't just a warm place to sleep, but also a really comfortable one. The bed was super comfy, the breakfasts were delicious. The family that owns the place really makes you feel at home - the living room is inviting and the array of cakes and sweets don't hurt. We saw deer in the woods outside and even made some new friends while here. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Maybe because it was raining, we did not get to use the outside facilities. The staff are generally disinterested in the guest. We were never offered any welcoming beverages or snacks. No coffee or water in rooms. The bathrooms are horrible, no other words. We had three rooms, every shower was cracked, had old rusty nail holes, no water pressure, old, out dated and falling apart. The rooms were nice and comfortable, breakfast was delicious but it did not make up for surly staff, musty living room, and horrible bathrooms. No worth the price charged.

Quirky yet classic B&B on the outskirts of Dahlonga. Our host Sharon went out of her way to make us comfortable for our 2 night stay (mid October). Easy to get to from Atlanta. And a great place to stay if you're making the rounds of the many wineries in this part of north Georgia! I agree with the other reviewer, I'd like to come back in the spring to see the grounds in bloom, or in the summer to lounge by the beautiful pool.
