Horrible food and even worse service. We didn't like one of the items we got and when the waiter said something to the manager / owner he procedded to yell at this poor waiter for several minutes. We left without eating. Paid our bill and gave the poor waiter a tip in cash.

Had to stop and get lunch with the family. Food was not to bad: General Tso Chicken was good. Fried rice was terrible. Beef Fried Rice needed more beef. Steamed dumplings needed cooked a little more. Egg drop soup was good. Sesame Chicken was okay. Service was okay, but the server seemed to be having a bad day.

Always very good food. The staff is always friendly. The service has always been good. That being said, I would not go out of my way to eat there, but would recommend them if you are in the area and looking for a good Chinese restaurant.

Average/decent food. Reasonably priced. Fast service. They'd get a 4th star if they delivered!

Pretty good Chinese food for a strip shopping center. I expected not so great food but was very pleasantly surprised. Prices are reasonable and there's hardly ever a wait. Take out has always been accurate and fast.

Not up to par for a full sit down dinner food taste bland, waiters need to be nicer. Not friends sky at all! Don't go

Agree with Mike G. Review. Except, food was worse I have ever had. The water was the best part of the meal. Based on other reviews, the Host/manager/waiter must "always" be in a bad mood. Will never eat here again. I can't believe they have been in business as long as they have.

Over the years we've occasionally eaten here. The food is always good, the service is fast, the decor is comfortable and the price is right. Have never been disappointed. Everything is good here.

I have had takeout from Golden Palace for over ten years but have never dined in! I can say that in the ten years of being a customer I have never had one issue with the food when I got it home. Their fried rice, lo mein noodles, vegetable dishes are all great. My kids are big fans of their brocolli in brown sauce, and not only do I not have to fight to get them to eat it, they actually fight over it! While probably not as authentic as those Chinese restaurants inside the perimeter, Golden Palace is a great choice this far north. Their Garlic Eggplant hold it's own against any in Atlanta. I guess it is fair to say that I am a fan!

Ordered take-out from this place tonight. Pretty good Chinese food and service. Good amount of food for the price. We ordered the Dinner for 2 for $23 bucks: Soup, eggrolls, 2 entrees, and rice. Def will order again.

Very bad service. Ordered chicken with broccoli & got beef with broccoli. When we called to try to get correct item they argued that we ordered wrong. Would not correct order. All they cared about was saying WE were wrong not them. Did not try to fix problem. We will not return, bad service & food wasn't much better.

I am wondering if the waiters served my fellow reviewers scalding hot tea that burnt their taste buds to a crisp before serving their food. I found the interior of this restaurant to be extremely dingy and unappealing. I ordered sesame chicken and found it to be extremely dry and chewy on the inside. The sauce was overly sweet. My children had an order of lo mein and I have never seen such greasy noodles. I found the wait staff to be pleasant and polite which is the only reason that I am giving this 2 stars.

I am still on the hunt for something better but this chinese food will do for now. I tried the TERIYAKI CHICKEN, and to my suprise, NO THIGH MEAT! It was nicely grilled chicken breast and it was pretty good, I guess it was worth the $10. I also ordered the TERIYAKI BEEF which was a waste of 5 bucks. The 3 12" skewers had about 3 and a half inches of salty beef on them with a cherry, pinapple, and bell pepper garnish. Ok maybe I should rate this place 3 stars. . . My hubby and I shared the entree and took it to go. Over the phone she told me they closed at 9:45pm and it was really 10. She told me I had to order by 9:30. I guess they were trying to get out of there early. . .Would you believe the hostess (Older lady, maybe the owner) only gave us 1 FORTUNE COOKIE! I can't believe I got stiffed on a 10 cent cookie. I should really take back my star!

Golden Palace serves your typical Chinese restaurant and take-out fare. The food is exactly what you would expect from your average, every-day Chinese joint. It's good, but nothing to get terribly excited about.

Living fairly close, I almost always get takeout, and find the food quite good. That said, I once dined inside and found it less appealing that evening.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
