I'm going to preface this review with 'I go to Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico for about a month- if not more- every year' I've had plenty of good Mexican food. Is Fajitas authentic? Mmm depends on your idea of Mexican food. It's more "Mexican food for Americans" but with that said it's very tasty gringo food. The people who run it (and have been there every time I've been in) are very nice, provide good service and they give you a 52-oz. soft drink if you order that sort of thing. Nothing sucks more than running out of drink. Service is always super quick- no cold food here.

3 burritos, its ok. Last time I was there we had a party of 12 adults for dinner at 8pm. They took us in stride, handled it well. The tab came to $120 plus tip (my ride). We had everything and it was all good, no complaints, everyone went away fat and happy (probably cause I paid). Sure I'd go again. Not my 1st choice, but if you're in the area, its a good meal when you're in a Mexican food mood.

Good food, slow service the day we were there but it looked like they got slammed and were trying to catch up. Our server was very friendly and the food was good. Great salsa and queso! Cute restaurant in a renovated house and a nice little patio area. It's definitely worth a try and we will go back.

Passed by this restaurant several days ago that I had forgotten about b/c I don't get to this neck-of-the woods much anymore. They advertised All-You-Can-Eat wings Monday and Taco Tuesday. As luck would have it ( I thought and knowing my husband loves wings), passed by it again today and decided to give it a whirl. Waiter acted like he had only been waiting tables a few days. He was a little dense, to be kind. They brought these huge glasses of water my 8 yo daughter & her friend couldn't even pick-up w/o a definite mishap in their near future. Asked for smaller cups and he brought the same size "to-go" cups b/c he didn't have lids for the smaller ones... Ummm... We just wanted smaller cups! As far as the food goes, I could have made it better myself, which is why I sometimes hate venturing out to dinner to a restaurant that is not my usual, time-tested, always good quality food restaurant.... My husband ordered the AYCE wings. By the time his dinner arrived to the table, we were all finished... And they only brought out 8 wings! It didn't come w/ any sides. If he had wanted more, we would have probably have waited another half hour or more for his second serving. From the looks of the wings, definitely not worth the wait originally., much less for more so we had him take them back & cancel that order. It took three excursions of our own to find someone to bring more chips and salsa, and b/c they forgot the salsa, a 2nd trip w/ the 3rd trip being the hunt for my husband's wings... ON WING NIGHT!!! It wasn't crowded when we got there but was packed when we left. Guess folks out this way don't have a lot of expectations... Carnitas were probably the worst I have had at any Mexican restaurant. Their flautas, which were 't even on the menu, were good. The chalupa's were soggy & covered w/ 1/2 lb of lettuce to where you couldn't even see the chalupa... I wouldn't bother wasting your time or $$ here.

Went in to eat 50 minutes before closing with the open sign still on. Waiter took order then 5 minutes came back and advised that the grill was closed some time ago and said sorry. This was unacceptable on all levels. They don't need my money.

Fajitas was a great experience. It is located right of Hwy 20 in Cumming, and looks like an old split level home turned into a restaurant...but it is super cool! We sat outside with our dog and ordered the "mexican" guacamole over the regular guac. This is definitely they way the to go. They chop up the avocado, mix in salsa fresca, lime juice and cilantro...so fresh...and SO good! I got the Taco Salad which was standard. Service was a bit slow...but when i'm sitting outside and its pretty out, i really am in no hurry so it didn't bother us at all. I think there was one server for the entire place on. She was AWESOME though! Great time and great prices.

We've been coming here for over a year now because we actually loved the food & how fresh it is, as well as the portion size. We brought our friends for the first time tonight and the portions are a quarter of what they were. The service a awful. I actually think they have run out of food. The margaritas that we ordered the first time came out with seemingly no alcohol in them & the second try was simply frozen with little to no alcohol. I have a problem with the concept of paying for food that I never receive. Save your money, and avoid this place. I know we won't be back.

Because this place is close to home, I've given them many chances. I normally order the food and take it home. Most of the time my order is wrong in some way. Most recently, which will be my last visit, the order was horrible. I ordered chicken flautas and received one with beef and two without ANYTHING, just a fried shell. I always feel like I am annoying the staff, like they'd rather I wasn't there. There health score has also been remarkably low in the past but is now up to an 89 (I think.) El Porton is not much further and so much better. I have never wished for a business to close, but I honestly believe this one does not deserve to be open.

We went twice and the food was just so so, not too much taste. The other Mexican restaurants in the area are better so we haven't been back after the second trip,

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
