My experience wasn't as bad as Mikaela's. I was feeling like a hot dog and the only place I could think of was DQ. When I pulled up MZ was right, the speaker situation was dreadful. I had to ask multiple times for the girl to repeat herself, but in the end I got exactly what I wanted - 1 slaw dog and 1 slaw burger. They were actually really good. When I got home my wife said my breath smelled like sausage so I had to brush my teeth.

There is a reason this Dairy Queen is located directly in the middle of Cumming. That's because it is the Mecca, the ultimate destination of every indigenous Forsyth County resident, the center of the Forsyth redneck world. As a matter of fact, this location was recently expanded, nearly doubling in size to accommodate scores of those making the pilgrimage. On the few times I've been, I've seen toothless hillbillies, high school girls with too much eye shadow and four inch heels, and a replica of the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard (with working horn). If the South will ever rise again, I feel like this is the spot from which that will happen. After all, they can load up on disgusting fried food and processed ice cream before conquering those damned Yankees! Nevertheless, I sometimes have to satisfy my inner redneck, and thus find myself here ordering a peanutbutter cup blizzard. They put the right amount of candy in the ice cream so that each bite has a taste. However, I was disappointed that my teen aged server didn't turn it up-side-down before serving. They have a thing or two to learn about presentation here.

Had a bad experience, my son got a blizzard and he said it tasted funny. I tried a taste and it tasted disgusting. What was the taste I have no idea but I tried to tell them we had a problem and they told me they couldn't do anything and no manager was on duty. They started smiling about it the angrier I got, even though I wasn't outraged. I asked again if we could have a new blizzard and he said shhhh to me, trying to silence me. Then, a girl bursted out laughing running to the back area. I told him he was a weirdo, I would never spend a dime at this Dairy Queen- and walked out. Never going back.

There is not an appropriate word to describe my experience. Awful. Horrible. Embarrassing. Rude. Went through the drive through and the speaker system is clearly not functional. Got to the window and my order was wrong. Was upcharged for something and not told in advance (though it wouldn't have mattered because I couldn't fully understand what came out of the speaker). They seemed irritated to have to remake my order the way that I ordered it. Made me feel like an idiot. Well, fix the speaker and we'd be all good, right? Called the store to tell the manager that the speaker obviously doesn't work (if it was my store, I'd want to know!), and that it would be great to describe the upcharge to customers. Manager gave me some nonsense about how they have a sophisticated machine that measures the levels of the ingredients, etc., etc., and basically didn't seem to care. Got home and realized my order was STILL wrong. I don't live too far...plus I'm pregnant and really wanted what I ordered. So...I drove all the way back to ask for the right order. I had eaten some of my blizzard in an attempt to see if the missing ingredient really was missing (how else would I know?), or if it was mixed in further down. So I'd say about 1/4 was gone. Lady who "helped" me took my cup, walked to the toppings and put in a few spoonfuls and handed it to me. I said..."oh, you aren't going to use the machine to make it a blizzard? It isn't mixed in!" Not to mention the nonsense I had just been told about how it was impossible to make the blizzard without this mysterious high tech machine controlling the ingredients. And, I was shocked that I didn't just get a new one. She grabbed my spoon, mixed the ingredient in by hand, and sarcastically said, "Well, you ate most of it, I can't help you." First of all, clearly not true. Second, you got my order wrong TWICE and you cannot bring yourselves to make me a new one to correct the problem? And I am 99% positive this was the manager. Not a great customer service role model, so I am not surprised the reviews reference lackluster customer service. I will never go back. I have ice cream with toppings on top, not a blizzard like I ordered and was charged for. I was treated like an idiot. Really, DQ? That's cool, if customer service means nothing to you, you don't need to have my money.

Even though there's better and there is worse you can never go wrong with a blizzard in my opinion. The service is funky. Sometimes it is great and sometimes it's very crabby. I have never had my order messed up at this location however the lady next to me was getting the total run around about her sandwich. I have seen every type of person at this location....

As my local DQ, this Dairy Queen will always be my go to for a frozen treat, and a decent stop for burgers as well. However, at this time I am 3 hours in to my jury duty service and have yet to leave a waiting area and all I can think about is this mysterious lunch hour and getting some delicious grub from my local Dairy Queen down the street.

They aren't the brightest bulbs in the box, but it's not hard to mess up ice cream, though they have been known to.

Every once in a while I like to go to a Dairy Queen to order a Blizzard. Every Dairy Queen in the metro Atlanta area seem to have employees that can make a Blizzard except for this one. There have been a number of times that I have placed my order and received a Blizzard that was missing ingredients. Come on people this is not rocket science. I'm not returning.

If you can get past the smart alec older ladies taking your order that find some way to tell you they've been there 18 years and they can't accomodate your request, the food is pretty good as far as fast food fare goes.

The best slaw anywhere! -cleanliness is pretty good -staff is friendly -prices are what you expect -their food is pretty good for a Dairy Queen -The best thing to get there is the slaw dogs -you will get your order very quickly -it is very busy so expect lines

Only reason I came back to this location was a gift card! Rude slow service unfortunately from our previous experience this Dairy Queen lived up to my expectations! I was in the drive thru for over 30 min, even though it was recently remodeled I was told the cash register is broken so had to wait at least 10 min to even place my order. Could only catch every other word from the speaker & the server could not understand me either; guess this was not updated during the remodel. The food is average not worth the hassle of the drive through or the lack of customer service skills of the employees. I've used the gift card now, I won't be back.

I love Dairy Queen normally. This location is extremely slow. I recently went through the drive thru to get my son a sundae. By the time we finally go up to the window to pay and receive my order. It was melted and more like a bowl of milk than ice cream. Staff is not cust service oriented. Perhaps service is better inside. But not sure I want to try it.

Absolutely terrible. We visited the drive-through for a couple Blizzards. They were out of the ingredients to make our first two choices. The drive through speaker is terrible, so it took a while for us to be able to order. When we finally found a flavor that they actually had the ingredients to make, we drove around to the window. We had received an e-gift card and tried to use this to pay, as we have done without issue multiple times before. First the older lady in the drive-through said "We don't accept printed coupons". I explained that it was a gift card, not a coupon. She walked away from the window. 10 minutes later, she finally came back, punched some numbers in the cash register, then walks away again and comes back with another employee. This woman tells us that she got an e-mail from "corporate headquarters" saying that printed e-gift cards could no longer be used. I know that is not true because they are still sold on the DQ website. Maybe this franchise owner has decided not to accept them... big mistake. We left without making a purchase and went to Bruster's instead. I will never visit this location again.

Service seems to have improved. There's fresher food and my order has been correct lately.

Slowest Dairy Queen in the entire United States. Oh, and your order has a good chance of being wrong.

This has to be one of the oldest Dairy Queen's. The location is in a tough place to get to and the speaker at the drive thru window is busted so you can barely hear the cashier but the ice cream and blizzards were good.

They just remodeled this place and actually made it worse. Gone is the condiment bar and they actually charged me for extra pickles and onions! WTH! They only have one credit card machine for the front counter. If you are going to remodeled, upgrade your technology too! They now deliver to your table, but if you paid separate, there is no guarantee both will be served at the same time. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger and the combination of the mushroom and Swiss cheese burning the roof of your mouth and falling out of the sandwich made the dining experience horrific. My dining companion got their order 8 mins after mine was served. Most of the same staff is there, so they continue to have no sense of urgency to serve you.

I had a really good experience at Dairy Queen. I ordered my little girls birthday cake from this Dairy Queen. The lady who makes the cakes is great. She sat down with me and went over exactly what I wanted. I showed her a picture and explained that I did not want too much color. She did a fabulous job. My little girl was thrilled. I did not give her a lot to work with and she totally exceeded my expectations. I drove out of my way to get to this Dairy Queen because the last one I went to in Canton lost my order and really did not seem to care. I would drive out of my way again just to make sure someone was making my cake that cared!

If you can put up with the rude, oddly-bitter-about-something old lady working the cash register who seems to think she's smarter than everyone and the frightening backwoods redneck patrons, this place is ok. The blizzards are good and so are the other menu options, but then again it's pretty hard to screw up fast food and blizzards. Wouldn't particularly recommend it, but not worth going out of your way to avoid either. Meh.

One of the best Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I tried to steer clear of fast food, but I really do love their burgers. I would definitely recommend checking this particular location out. Center of town and a fun place to people watch as well. Love seeing all the high school kids but always see the old couples. Food and service has always been great.
