I have dined in once and ordered to go a few times. I have always ordered the gyros sandwich. The meat and bread are always fresh and full of flavor. I can't beat the price. Only $5.25 for a sandwich. This is my go to place when I want a gyro.

I came here with some friends after the gym one day. I'll be honest. We didn't seek this place out at first. We drove all the way to Conyers to go to one of my favorite sushi spots out there but they were closed and moved to Smyrna! My friend suggested this place. When we went, it was trivia night. The clientelle was much older for the most part. We walked in and sat ourselves. We looked through the menu and everything sounded good but since I had just left the gym, I decided to go with the gyro salad. I feel like I made a really good choice. The salad was extremely flavorful. It came with slices of lamb and beef, 2 olives, some tomatoes and feta cheese. The only thing I would change is I would make it Romaine lettuce instead of Iceberg lettuce but who knows... My friends were making fun of me because I practically licked the bowl. They had the 6" special pizza. They said it was really good but I didnt try it because it has mushrooms. They were a little surprised at just how small a 6" pie is but in the end, they seemed to be pretty full and satisfied. We also had the steak fries but we didn't enjoy them too much. They have baklava which I had to try and it was pretty good. Overall it was a good experience and if/when I'm back in Conyers, I'll check it out again.

I love this restaurant. I've been coming for years and always feel welcome. Lasagna is great!

For me - The Best pizza in town. Their spaghetti is very good too. Have been coming here for about a year. I only have take out from here so I won't comment on eating inside. What would make it 5 stars for me is a better garlic toast -- you know, fresh bread sliced, with butter and garlic, then grilled. Currently they serve 4" torpedo shaped garlic bread that can be bought in the grocery store freezer. Nice people at the counter. Take out has never been more than 20 minutes to wait. Hope this is helpful.

My parents and I have been loyal customers of this place for over 10 years. Despite living further away now (Cobb/Sandy Springs) we always tried to stop by and pick up some amazingly delicious gyros whenever we visit family in Rockdale. However, customer service has never been a priority here and it has bothered the crap out of me. At one point, I would come here almost every other day after class and was treated the same repeatedly and as if I didn't order the same gyro (no O/T) and small greek salad (no O/T) every time and was a complete, unappreciated stranger. Smiles and a "how are you" are rarely returned, they tend to carry an "unapproachable" facial expression and body language, and there's never any interest in any genial small talk--not even weather. Who the heck doesn't like to join in on weather whining in GEORGIA??? The lack of fundamental, positive customer service simply baffles my family and I. It's just not a "happy" restaurant, I suppose. At this point in time, we only eat here maybe twice a year now. The food is great, but the grumpy service is such a mood-killer. Fortunately for them, their gyros are wonderfully satisfying and I'm very ambitious when I do waltz in--I just KNOW I'll get a reciprocated upbeat attitude or response eventually. Would I recommend Atlanta Pizza & Gyro for the food? Heck yes! Would I recommend Atlanta Pizza & Gyro for the service? Heck no.

The one star is for the service only. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was quite empty. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, but unfortunately the pizza was "blah" almost as if it were a frozen pizza reheated.

Just what you're looking for when you want a great gyro. Great gyro meat, great pita, and great tzatziki sauce. The Greek potatoes are awesome, some are so thin, they're almost like kettle chips. The steak fries are so good, I have a hard time choosing. I always get a side of tzatziki to dip my fries in. I also pay for extra gryo meat and get a super sized gyro. I have been with people that get the pizzas and they taste great but I always get the gyro. Great owner, Mike, who will take care of you.

Decent....nothing great. The food was pretty overpriced and there was nothing that made it exceptionally good. Food was fresh, service was okay. The gyro was pretty dry-tasting and bland even though the pita bread was nice and soft. Probably won't visit again.

This has become my go to place for a good gyro. They even pronounce it correctly :-) . It is a local spot that always has a nice crowd in the dining area. I haven't ventured out to try anything else on the menu. Not sure I will since I am so in love with their gyros.

I wanted some pizza so I stopped in to try theirs. I ordered a 14" special and a coke to drink while I waited. The woman who took my order moved on to the next person so I stood there not sure how I would get my drink. A young kid who waits tables finally asked me if I was getting take out and I told him about my drink order. He said they didn't have any "damn straws" but I got my drink and sat down to wait...and wait. I guess it takes longer to cook a pizza when it comes out of a fridge pre-made. I saw them go in the back and bring mine out. They pile a massive amount of cheese on it, shove it in the oven, and then when it's ready they take it out and put it in a box on top of the oven to stay warm. It's important to know that because they don't let you know that it's ready. Anyway, I'm headed out to go find something else to eat now because most of my pizza is going in the trash.

Although the owner is extremely nice and friendly, it does not make up for the very disappointing food that we were served. We ordered a large cheese pizza and regular lasagna with small Greek salad to-go. I do wish to go into too much detail as I do think they are really trying, but I would not eat here again.

The best gyro I've found so far in this area. The food is really good, the portions are generous and the service is fast. We really enjoy eating at this place.

Great pizza and cheap beer but I don't think the inside has been updated since the '80s.

Probably would've enjoyed my pizza better, had it not been for the grumpy old man who was behind the counter. First, he disputed my call-in order, then he read the ticket and saw it was just as I said it was. When I paid for my pizza, I said thank you. No comment from grumpy old man. I said thank you again, a little louder in case he was hard of hearing, and he just looked at me. Another couple who had come it after me decided not to place an order, and spoke to me outside, in disbelief that the old man was so rude. What was that all about? I live in Conyers, like to patronize local businesses, but I figure, if you have a problem serving me, there is no point in coming back. I'll stick with Mellow Mushroom!

I've only had their gyros and they are pretty good. The lunch special is reasonably priced and their staff is friendly. The only negative about the place is that you usually have to wait about 15-20 minutes to get your order which is pretty weird since the gyro & fries are pretty much cut, serve & go. I believe they finish all orders (even pizzas) before yours before they finish your order.

Greek salad no olives? Pizza has forgettable dough. Greek potatoes overcooked and dry. Thank goodness I was using a Groupon. Got lectured for not printing that too. Shame because I try to support local as much as possible.
