Great atmosphere, service is excellent and food is very good. Crab bites are yummy. Will be back for sure. Finally found a place in Columbus that is not a chain and is worth coming back to,

Came here for lunch on a Sunday and while they were not very busy, the food took a little while to get to our table. The stuffed mushrooms were good, the steamed broccoli was fantastic, but the serving size of the grilled grouper was on the small side. I would probably eat here again. On a side note. They do not bring out plates for the appetizers and when we asked for them the kitchen staff asked the waitress why she needed plates. She informed my table that they do not have appetizer plates. I thought this was strange.

We ordered the oyster sampler and it was delicious. We had ordered the king crab legs because it was our anniversary, but the owner came out and told us they were bad and she wouldn't serve them to us, then offered to give us double portions of the snow crabs for the same price. Needless to say the crab legs were delicious and we plan on coming back again.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. This place is one of the best places to go in Columbus and is certainly the best oysters in Columbus!

We have been there multiple times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good and comes out in generous portions. Wish they would relocate and have outdoor seating.

It was ok. Enjoyed the oysters, and it's hard to find them on the half shell around here. It's a small sports bar, & seemed to be pretty clean. Don't order the calamari. Thought it would be a safe bet in a place that serves a good deal of seafood, but it wasn't what we expected. Rather than fried rings or minis, it was long, fried, chewy sticks. Never seen it served that way, and it is not my preference. Our waitress seemed quite stressed, and doesn't seem to know much about eating oysters. We sat there for several minutes without crackers or horseradish after she brought our oysters on the half shell. Our biggest issue was the order & timing in which we received everything. Our calamari appetizer arrived after our entrees of half shell oysters (not much of an appetizer). Because our daughter doesn't eat oysters, she ordered wings. We'd had our food for what seemed like quite a while before she got hers. Had the timing been better, I would've given the experience 4 stars.

Cool place with a good atmosphere. Cold beer the beer cups plastic or it would have been five stars. We had three dozen oysters and they were clean and tasty... Small but good

First visit there. We were met at the door and told to take a table and someone would be with us. The place was clean and has Keno super cool. The place was rather brisk for a Monday night. Which is a good sign. We found a table sat down. Our server said Hi within 2 minutes and had our beers on the table within 5 minutes from walking in the door not to bad. My husband requested his fish to be fried rest to be grilled in the captain plate our server came back told him the whole plate has to be fried or grilled. He said to have it all grilled. Guess the kitchen is not flexible for request. After a small wait we got our food. My fried oysters were done perfect. Done just right, they came out hot, also with cold tarter sauce on the side. My husband Did not fair out as good. His fish, shrimp and scallops were done awesome. Crab cake was not bad either. ( kinda wish I ordered that for my starter) Many times shrimp and scallops are way over done and tough. This guys did a Great job on that. However The kitchen was extremely heavy handed with Old Bay seasoning. To the point the salt was gritty. Such a shame for seafood cooked properly. It was not the servers fault however I lay the blame to the kitchen. The kitchen needs to know more is not better with old bay seasoning.. It was not a bad place. Great beer specials, wifi, they even had all you can eat wing night. Our server was friendly, polite and kept our drinks full. She is a keeper for a server. One the kitchen issue, every now and there thing such as this happen Next time we will nix the old bay or just do the captain platter fried. If my husband's plate was not over seasoned and the kitchen not able to handle a simple request Oyster Bay Sports Bar and Grill work have 4 stars.

Just like the stars say- meh, I've experienced better. I went for unlimited hot wings... which they bring out to you six at a time. It took 30 minutes for the server to take our order, and another 30 for food to come out. Really? Do Hot Wings take THAT LONG to cook? They are usually busy on Friday nights, so they should keep more cooks to keep up with the volume of orders. The wings were a solid 3/5. I tried mild, hot, teriyaki, and suicide. At first, the kitchen was reluctant to let me have just one suicide wing, which makes no sense, since I had the unlimited and could have just ordered a whole basket of them if I wanted. The teriyaki were gross and the suicide will really make your eyes water. Overall, I just wasn't impressed. I'll stick to the local Willy's Wings for my hot wing craving. Oh, and the entire place smells like bad oysters, but what did I expect going to an Oyster bar?

Ask for the Pork Chop Sandwich!! They won't tell you this upfront or in the menu that it is a "Bone-In" Sandwich. This might be relevant to the customer who assumed that a sandwich would be served with the bone removed. The owner stated when asked, "Why would you serve a pork chop sandwich with a bone in it?," his response, "Why Not?." The owner stated that it is served as an authentic pork chop sandwich. I am very lucky that I didn't loose a tooth or have dental damage because of my assumptions. The owner is apparently an arrogant type that would rather not admit a mistake than to assume the customer is an idiot. I'm just curious how would one eat an authentic pork chop sandwich??? Do you remove the buns?? This restaurant has a grilled pork chop and a grilled pork chop sandwich. The difference? The sandwich has the meat placed on a sandwich. Word of advice: Remove the bone. This would be a requirement for the item to be referred to as a sandwich. I will pay the owner to illustrate the proper way to eating this sandwich. If your going to have a "Bone-In" Sandwich, for God's Sake, expose the bone. Let the customer know, the bread is only for decoration. Let's say you refuse to change the menu or admit your mistake: Have the waitress inform the unlucky customer that are ordering this that the sandwich has a bone in it. Can you explain why would anyone prefer a sandwich to just the pork chop. It is not a sandwich. It requires deboning or removing the buns and eating like a regular bone in pork chop. Most people prefer their sandwiches without bones. Would any customer complain that their pork chop sandwich has no bone in it??? Don't we assume that a chicken sandwich, hamburgers, mcrib, ham, turkey, etc. have the bones removed. Isn't that the convenience of a sandwich? I can only assume the competence of the cooking staff that would prepare this item. Not too mention a staff that would serve this item. I would be willing to bet that the owner ignores their comments. Another tidbit that find interesting: The restaurant claims to have the coldest oysters and beer in town. I could assume that each is independently the coldest or assume that when combined the average of both are the coldest in town (this is the owner's only argument that he has a chance in). Let's say that they take the first option: (I don't really care about the oyster comment, if their cold so be it) However, if you claim to have the coldest beers in town, can you prove it? The waitress told me that the coldest beer could be from wither the tap or bottle. Well, without getting science involved, I beg the differ. They have no evidence of any methods of getting their beer the coldest other than any other restaurant that has the same methods. I just want to point out that this bogus claim can not be supported and arrogantly (seems to be common with owner) they are offended if asked. I would recommend this place for a beer but don't expect much. They will not exist under this same name or ownership with a few years. Apparently everyone thinks running a restaurant is easy. Just ask the restaurant that was before you, Parnello's anyone?

We had the oyster plate sampler and could not complain...it was delicious. Also, had the fish taco that my Mom tried for the first time and she enjoyed. Will be back to try the fried oyster and shrimp po boy sandwich, which I am told is very good. Beer was good :-)
