Can't go wrong with golden chopsticks, the food is always good, prices are reasonable, I have never been disappointed when it comes to that, the only problem I have had here is that on several occasions our order would take forever to come out. The staff here are outstanding, very kind. I will say that the location is questionable but never had a problem so far.

Golden chopsticks has been around since the 1970's. Is a the family owned korean restaurant with very good service. Everything I have ordered has always been fresh and very tasty. I eat at Golden chopsticks at least once a week! I recommend anyone looking for good authentic Korean food go to here.

When I was in Columbus, GA a couple of months ago, I did not expect to have good Korean food. That I got some great K food at Golden Chopsticks was a very pleasant surprise. I ordered takeout, so I didn't get the full restaurant experience. Nevertheless, I thought the daeji bulgogi was on par with some of the better restaurants I go to in the Bay Area. Not quite as good as the stuff my grandma makes, but still pretty legit. Only complaint was that it was a little on the greasy side. Other than that, delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Omg! What a treat to discover this place...in the middle of a pretty sketchy strip mall! I have a friend that's from Columbus who gave this place rave reviews....and after a delicious meal here, I must agree. Yes. The location is crappy, and yes, the atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but I thought the portions were awesome, the banchan was tasty and the service was great. Especially from the cutie who was working up front. I had something that I can't remember the Korean name, but it was basically a soup with dumplings and the most delicious rice cake ever ever ever. I want to eat here every day after clinical. Talk about hearty homestyle Korean...yum! I thought the menu was pretty comprehensive, they have the prerequisite kalbi, bulgogi and bibimbap...plus tons of other soups and stews that I am dying to try. Don't be turned off by the location...this place is definitely a winner.

Best Korean food on the east coast! Daejji Bulgogi is a must try! Unfortunately for some reason this dish has been impossible to find at any other K BBQ restaurant I have been to.

We have only tried this place via takeout. It was fairly good. A little on the greasy side. The banchan was good. This is what I consider Korean "fast-food."

This is my favorite Korean restaurant! The side dishes are awesome and include different things on different days. The potatoes, spicy cucumbers, kimchi, fish cakes, egg, and spicy bean sprouts are all delicious! I also love the shrimp gimbap as an appetizer here. The rice is always fresh and delicious. The bibimbap and spicy squid are great and my boyfriend loves the regular and spicy bulgogi. The prices are really good and they even have lunch specials. They have fountain drinks and the service has almost always been fast and friendly. The restaurant's outside appearance doesn't do it justice! The inside is clean and tidy. Don't let the hole in the wall appearance deter you from trying this place, it's awesome!

Nice and simple Korean food. Nothing fancy here but to quote Racheal Ray it's "yum-o"!

Delicious. Decided to try it based on the reviews from other Yelp members. Ordered beef bulgogi. Flavorful. Chicken fried rice. Plentiful. And the service was calm and quick. Overall, my top Korean spot from here on out in Columbus, GA. Much better than the spot off of victory drive. Portions are perfect. Lunch time ftw.

I came in from Biloxi, MS to come to a class on FT Benning and the Golden Chopsticks was recommended by a coworker. I tried it with four other colleagues and we were all impressed I had so much food as you can see in my pics. I ordered enough for later cause I knew Asian food makes me hungry later. This place is definetly worth stopping in tomorrow.

My sister and I dine here today. It's our first time dinning in a Korean restaurant and the experience is great. The food is awesome and the woman who's serving is friendly. They serve the food fast and it's in good portion which is worth the prize. We are definitely gonna go back.

If you are expecting a super friendly staff this is not the place they take your order and bring you super hot delicious fresh food. Try the hot stone bowl comes with lots of fresh ingredients to add to your bowl. Includes white rice and bulgogi ingredients provided are pickled cucumbers, potatoes, kimchi, onions, carrots, and picked radish. If you are looking for something new to try give this place a shot. One more tip DONT order soda from the fountain this is my second time coming and I have to send it back as it is always flat.

Incredible!!! I'm so glad we moved back to Columbus and Golden Chopsticks is still here! It's been 5 years and I'm so happy to be back! Golden Chopsticks is the best place for exceptional Korean Food in Columbus! The fried Mandoo are so tasty and the Daeji Bulgogi is excellent! My husband usually has the Bi Bim Bop or the Yukijong and they are always delicious. The ban chan are plentiful and so good too. The family that owns the restaurant are very friendly and work so hard at keeping Golden Chopsticks an extra special place to have a terrific meal at a great price!

We love this restaurant and have been going there ever since we moved to Columbus. Best Korean food you can get in town.

I got disappointed by the to go food (bulgogi and beef brocolli). Food was not at the right temperature and seemed to me they served the dry left overs of the bulgogi (late dinner). What happened with the tasty bulgogi I tried once?? It is been two times where my expectations of food were not met. I had to live a low rating since I don't plan on coming back to have a left over food!

Found this place through yelp and I'm glad I went. I was in Columbus for work and like to try out to local spots. Julie C.'s review is on point. It's in a sketchy strip mall and definitely doesn't have anything going on as far as decor and ambiance. But the food is oh so good. I'm Korean and the food I ordered reminded me of my mom's cooking. I used to live in the DC area and the Korean food there is awesome. Golden Chopsticks is pretty close given that it's located in Columbus, GA of all places. The ban chan is good and there's a decent variety, definitely more than I expected. This place was so good I went 3 times while I was in town. The prices were awesome and averaged about $10. One of the employees mentioned that all their advertisement is based on word of mouth - they've been in business since the 70's and so I think that says something. If you like Korean food, definitely go. if you've never had it, try it because you'll be pleasantly surprised. I brought all my co-workers here, the majority of which had never had Korean food, and they all loved it!

I think this place is okay. I don't want to give it two stars, but I don't feel like it quite deserves three, I'm giving it three though because the ban chan was good. The set up is a lot like a lot of other Korean restaurants I've been to so that doesn't throw me off. As I said earlier the ban chan they give out is small but tasty, their kim chi is okay, but they bring out some fried egg, and spinach, and seaweed, they were all delicious. I ordered the dol sot bi bim bop, mixed rice in a hot pot, it is to Korean restaurants as the hamburger is to any American place. I was a little disappointed in it, the gochujang-hot pepper paste was a little bland and that's really what makes the dish in my opinion. I kept adding more and more and it just didn't seem to do anything. The other customers seemed to be gravitating towards the barbecue dishes which came in huge portions and I'm willing to try that out, but I'll take my time in coming back.

A great little hidden gem that's close to post if you are on lunch break or want to stop in on your way home. If you live at Independence Place apartments, this is probably the closest restaurant I would actually recommend you check out without driving between Exit 6 & 10. The service is always very friendly and quick, with decent food and great prices. Next time you have a craving for some asian cuisine, check out Gold Chopsticks, it might just become your go-to for SE Columbus.

Food is okay. For the location and wait time it isn't worth it to me. I have gone in a few times at lunch (my boyfriend used to really enjoy it) and watched 2 or 3 tables get up and leave because they couldn't get waited on. I have sat for 15 minutes and never gotten a drink. That doesn't work for lunch time. We have had to leave and just hit a fast food place on the way back to work.

Locally owned and operated. I love this place and crave their food. I'm finding less and less people willing to venture away from the corporate cluster of the north part of town. It's quite a shame too! This place rocks! I remember my parents telling me that they went to GC in their early days of dating. The food has remained AMAZING and is still as I remember it from a child. As my tastes have changed as I've grown there is still a place on my palate for GC happy family. The vegetable buffet that accompanies the plethora of Korean dishes that have made my mouth water to the point that I will be having lunch there tomorrow. Kim bahp, a magazine and an afternoon with a Korean meal that will leave me with leftovers for three days...sounds like a great start to my weekend. Don't miss this gem....by far the best Korean place in town. I've tried the rest, they just don't compare!!!

After searching for "the place" to go for Korean food, we decided this place based on the reviews. Thanks reviewers! Although I wasn't quite sure because of the name... I didn't want it to be a place where they served all asian cuisines because then it's just blah. It wasn't so I was glad. My boyfriend and I like the place. It was not a far drive, thank goodness because we were starving our pants off! *lol* As those who has had Korean food before, they always serve several small dishes first. The small dishes were good but not as good as the ones in New York City! *haha* =P We ordered the seafood pancake to share, it was a good size for two people. We had to take home three pieces of the pancake home because we wanted to finish our main course. =P I ordered my usual, the kimchi broth, I can't remember the spelling of the name too well because the restaurants has different wording or spelling, oh well. My boyfriend ordered this noodle dish; it comes with a plate of the noodles, and then the other dish is this sauce... It's good because you can add how much sauce you want instead of it being overpowering. Anyways, the food was great... My stomach thought so. =D The service was good, the lady was nice. I left a good tip because of the service, food, and in general because of the small dishes they always serve... That's just the way it is. =) Oh yeah, the food came out at a pretty good time, not too long but not too short. Good thing for the little dishes to help out on the growling stomaches we had. =D

Start with the negatives, took awhile to get seated then took a bit to long to get drink and appetizer orders in. They did make up for good response once orders were placed. Now to the food, I ordered the pork bulgogi it was fabulous, the appetizers were good and tea was tasty. If it wasn't for short drive I wouldn't go out of way to go there but if in area defiantly go. Location sucks hard to find but I will go back to food quality, fabulous just portions are a little skimpy on certain things. All in all good would have been 3 stars but location sucks
