We waited for over ten minutes at our table without a single person even acknowledging us. Walked out and will never give Fuji any business. Definitely will not be recommending this place to any friends and are happy to suggest alternatives to them.

Well overall it was not totally a bad experience. I preface it that way only because the first part of the dining experience was not very good. A friend and I walked in to have quick meal. Once we got in the door the noise hit us....children. I thought I had landed in chuckie cheese. I have yet to figure out why so many kids were here unless its kids eat free night. My first course of soup was a huge let down. The miso was way to salty and the flavor was off. Tasted like some tofu had been burnt in the pot. That was the worst of it. The main course was very good. I rather enjoyed the chicken shrimp combination from the grill. The sushi rolls were slightly above the average non coastal dining area. The pickled ginger was the best I have had. I had to get some just to take with me. Service was average due to the crowd. I would and do recommend this restaurant but only as a lunch spot verses a dinner dining experience. Hope this helped someone.

The only reason I agreed to go here to eat is because my daughter likes sushi. We have been twice and neither time did I get what I ordered. When I pointed that out to the waitress, she had no apologies and shrugged it off. The second time we went I made sure my children heard me as I ordered and once again, that's not what I got. The waitress acted as if she understood me but clearly, she didn't; no-one seemed to care if I was satisfied at all and it's extremely expensive. Not worth what I paid.

Fujilicious! Best Japanese in town. Go for lunch same food 1/3 less dinner prices. Consistently good and sushi is yummy too!

The food wasn't bad kinda grocery store sushi maybe a little better. We ordered smoked salmon appetizers and mine was dry and unappetizing. Our waiter was bad. He was really rude to us and slow. We brought our kids with us and they loved the atmosphere watching the cooks but anyone that has ever served a family before knows that speediness matters. I don't think we will ever go back. The grill room was also really dark and I felt like not very clean and the lights were to help that fact. The bathroom was disgusting. Not impressed we will find somewhere else for our next craving.

Sushi chefs are awesome! I prefer to sit at the sushi bar. They're friendly and informative. As for the rest of the restaurant I find it to be overly dirty and sticky... Not sure why the fuss over the teppenyaki, don't get me wrong, those guys put on a show and are friendly, but the quality of food is not where it needs to be. Meats are always drowned in sauce is a sign that the meats are not fresh. Three stars for the amazing sushi chefs.

This is the place we go whenever we want to have a special celebration for birthdays, etc. The "show" is great, and the cooks are always excellent at entertaining. Best of all, though, the food is awesome. My husband always gets sushi and sashimi and the rest of my family does the grill. The teriyaki chicken is wonderful, as is the tempura shrimp appetizer! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The atmosphere is what you would expect from a hibachi place. Service was good. Food is mediocre. With the exception of gnats in our sushi!!! We understands that happens, except the waiter and management didn't bother to help out other than apologize! We didn't continue to eat the sushi and they didn't comp is for the contaminated food. Upsetting.

Great place, great food! And so much food for the price. The service was good too. Only the NBA finals were on and the were blasting some preacher program on the TVs that I thought was really weird. Would go again but am interested in getting to know the other sushi joints in town.

Definitely a place to try! We went on saturday night to the hibachi grill side and ordered items from the sushi side. You will likely have leftovers but if you are a big eater like myself you can finish the hibachi order minus the items below. A little on the pricey side but worth it. Fried calamari- was ok.$7 Dynamite roll... Not the best I've had but def good enough to eat and have again. Spicy salmon roll- which my Gf loved, simple but tasty. The sushi ranges from $4-$14 for specialty to roles. Hibachi side includes: watered down miso soup, but an excellent salad. Fun experience as they cook infront of you. Chicken $14 + noodles $3: very tasty Shrimp and scallop hibachi All very good. We added a Tasty mayo based sauce (common at all hibachi rest.) and with the previously mentioned appetizers were unable to finish our meal. Had enough left over to have an entire meal the next day and were very satisfied. Total night $70-$80. Worth it. Would be less if you only do hibachi and dont eat like me lol Enjoy!

OMG I miss this place, I no longer live in Columbus, I live in Hawaii and miss this place dearly, I had 2 chefs I loved! One is a very big guy and he made the food perfect and we always had half or more to take home, they are very accommodating and take very good care of the guests

Went on my daughter's 7th birthday. She really enjoyed the show that the chef but on and he even sing happy birthday to her. Very clean. Only thing is the waiter was never around. We all took food home. For a family of four we spent about $80. But it was worth it. Plus my daughter loved it. My son as already made plans to return for his birthday.

The food was excellent but service from the cook was unacceptable. He threw food on the plates and put my food on top of my packaged chopsticks. He was rude challenging the way we wanted our food. The restaurant didn't send anyone to clean the grill. So we had to eat with a dirty grill. To add injury to insult when I reported the incident to the manager. She looked at me like I was invisible and then apologized. However she dismissed me after I informed her and kept talking to another server. When I asked whether she was going to speak him.The manager looked at me as if I were alien. No thank you Hibachi cause if I were white I would have gotten a better response to my complaint. African Americans steer clear of this eatery. Use your money at a place where you are respected.

We had a good time! The food was good! We had a party of 10 and each couple paid for themselves. What we did not notice till we checked the bill after was they added the "service charge" tip to each and every bill. We have eaten at many places that add this charge because of the idiots that leave a less than acceptable tip to a server that has worked a large top. With a group of 8+ it is expected. But, when that group is broken up into multiples of couples the group is no longer a large group but a collection of couples. Enjoy the $33 tip. Was it that important to you compared to repeat business? Hope so... We won't be back. Oh, and to the chef / cook / whatever you are called. There are people that actually enjoy watching you cook. We are there for the entertainment and the interaction with you. The point is to get the attention of the audience. When you are doing the "egg roll" don't talk about it to the cooktop. Announce it to your audience!!! When people in the group try to engage you about the food and enjoy the moment it would go a long way if you actually acted like you cared. A smirk, accompanied by a less than interested look, doesn't cut it. This is a show and a meal. Simply going throughout the motions comes through. There is performing and working the guests, and there is simply getting through it and moving on... This is entertainment dining. "This is water to form a steam cloud over these beautiful vegetables to help steam them to perfection!" "And now we add some very thin soy reduction to cook down with our very fine filet mignon to add a subtle taste and hope I cook it correctly!!!" Smile. Grin. Unless they are idiots they will enjoy the joke. We have enjoyed this style of dining in South Florida and Indianapolis with incredible experiences. We will continue to enjoy this wonderful style of dining. Fuji, you have the opportunity to be one of the best. Previous reviews have complained about decorations and service. We don't agree. Decor was very nice. Service was there with only minor adjustments needed. The SHOW needs to be brought up to SHOW standards!

Hostess was rude gave a hard time about the checks when you add an automatic 20 percent tip I guess you can abuse your customers food was okay above average but again chef was arrogant price is high for customer service provided

This is my favorite restaurant in Columbus, GA. I recommend you try the Hibachi Grill. I usually order the steak and chicken with fried rice. If you are planning on taking your significant other out on a date I would refer you here. Plan on spending around fifty or sixty bucks. They usually have coupons you can use if you look around.
