Food is outstanding. Had the bacon wrapped 8oz steak. They were out of baked potatoes so I had loaded mashed potatoes. Everything about the meal was awesome. The service was the worst. Waited over 2 hours for food. Only got one round of bread and it was an hour in. Some people didn't even get their food. It was awful. Then when we paid we waited a good 30 minutes for bill to come back. Awesome food. Terrible service. Zero.

I could sum up my review of this place very simply: Three dollar brunch drinks. However....there was also super super friendly service and yummy fattening brunch food to be found inside, and I am officially a fan. Columbus isn't exactly my stomping ground, a friend and I were in town for a baby shower, but this was a welcome surprise. Buckhead Bar and Grill has a nice brunch menu....I had tough time choosing between fish and grits, benedict, brisket....so many yummy options. It seemed like the chicken and waffles was popular among other diners, but I got the steak and eggs...always a fav. My steak was cooked perfectly, as were my eggs. Score. Next time I'm getting the brisket...so unbelievably tender and flavorful, and the portion...well, it's perfect for a fat girl. Next time I'm in these parts, I'll be back.

Five stars because in Columbus, GA a good restaurant is very, very hard to find. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was excellent. House salad was special which is something I really appreciate. The overall meal was memorable and I will go again and again. For a special evening this is a great place in Columbus. The only drawback is that some in Columbus don't know what constitutes decent evening wear so you will get an occasional pig in skin-tight shorts and flip flops with her cap and camo clad beau, but that's to be expected in South Georgia, I guess.

Dined here three times while stationed at Ft Benning and had a good to great experience each time. The menu provides variety and taste. I would recommend it foremost for a special brunch, but also good for an expensive dinner. Service at times was spotty, they seemed understaffed each time we dined there, but it did not effect food quality. A solid Columbus stand by that I recommend to others.

Great atmosphere and ambiance! Buckhead grill offers unbelievable all natural options and top choice prime steaks. We loved their homemade balsamic dressing and bread! The Chicken Marsala is definitely a winner for the entree! Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anniversaries or a special occasion. Prices are high, but the food is worth it!

I was looking for a spot that had local, good food, a good beer and a friendly bartender: I found all of this at this place. Fast service and excellent food make this place the go to spot for when I am traveling to Columbus for work.

Food was great. California nachos were awesome! We had the shrimp & grits and filet Oscar. Both were excellent.

While people seem to have had different experiences at this establishment, I for one had a very good dinning experience. The staff was friendly and helpful with the in season choices of vegetables, grass feed beef and beers on tap. The building and atmosphere is perfect for a nice dinner with your special someone and is a good spot to just hand at the bar, get some cocktails and catch up with friends.

The Buckhead Bar and Grill was absolutely delicious! It is great for date nights! The good was amazing and the husbands beer was only $3 a glass! This place is a bit pricey but it's well worth it and the service was amazing!

Nice atmosphere. Complement appetizers. Salad was great house ranch and blue was great dressings. we ordered the ny York steak and it was cooked well( medium rare). Topped with a heavy portion of blue cheese. Beef Marsala was good the risotto is a must have! Mac n cheese was hearty but good maybe do light cheese. Dessert cheese cake and tres leche both where spot on! On the pricey side but the food held up to the price..

Great place! Loved the food and service. Ordered the peppercorn French filet and it was cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere. Definitely will be back.

Buckhead serves some of the very finest food in town. Among the finer things at Buckhead, that makes your experience incredible... Is Nadine. She is flawless. Our server was engaging and good humored.

Outstanding atmosphere, service, presentation, and food preparation. The best, in my opinion, in the area. Unfortunately, based on other experiences, one doesn't always get what they pay for when it comes to local dining, however at this place, I can tell you that I got the best "bang for my buck"! Great place to reinvest locally earned dollars into the "locally owned" economy! Exceptional, well rounded dining experience.

Service was terrible and super slow. Waiter kept apologizing blaming it on the weather and even gave us 25% discount for the inconvenience. We never got bread . Everyone around us got an amuse bouche and we did not until we asked for it. It took 30 minutes to get our wine and 40 minutes for our salads (these were excellent lettuce wedges with gorgonzola cheese, croutons and homemade balsamic drizzled on top.. the best part of dinner.) My husband had the NY strip steak which was just fair. (Normally he would have sent it back but did not want to wait all over again for a replacement.) I had the chicken marsala with mushrooms and risotto which was very tasty. Having read lots of rave reviews about this place, we had high hopes. What a disappointment. Waiter urged us to come back again and give them another chance, but I doubt that will happen.

Two time epic fail! First time we tried to eat brunch there they told us there would be a 30 minute wait. Over an hour later we just had to leave. Today, we were told a 5-10 minute wait. We sat at the bar where there was in either couple. Ten minutes later the bartender decided to ask us if we wanted a drink. Around 12 to 13 minutes I decided to leave again because the story is always the same there and I wasn't getting burnt again. If you are patient to a point of feeling disrespected and can still conjure up an appetite then this place is for you. Good luck!

Two stars for not being a chain and being one of the only restaurants in Columbus to serve brunch. When we got there, the line was out the door. Because the restaurant inside was packed? Nope! It was totally empty. The line was unexplainable, as was the fact that it took the hostess a full 15 minutes to seat each party. And this kind of disorganization is not a fluke. It's happened at least three times that I've been there during brunch. If there were other places to go, I would go to them. The 50% off coupon helps too. The prices are too high for the quality of food and questionable service to come here without it.

  • Allie C.

Very poor service. Did not have a chance to try their food because they would not seat us. The place was empty at 9 pm when we walked in. They did not allow our party to sit at the bar and they refused to seat us because we didn't have a reservation. Ended up leaving because the hostess was snotty.

We didn't get passed the appetizer. As soon as we saw the biggest friggin' cockroach crawling towards us like something out of a cheap B movie thriller, we paid out check and got the hell out of there before he made it to our table. Or worse, the kitchen. No thanks.

I had the best experience at this restaurant. Our waiter, Richard, was excellent and made sure that we were well taken care of. The food was great and although we had a high tab, it was well worth it. If a date night setting is what you are looking for, this restaurant is a great place to go. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I was defiantly a fine dinning experience. The one down fall was my $10 salad. They gave me a whole lettece chopped into four parts, to make it a real salad I had to cut the rest of it up myself.

Went here on a Monday night on business. Oddly enough we had to wait 45 minutes for a table at 7.15 without a reservation. They said this was unusual for a Monday but at least they had a comfortable waiting area. I would have to say if this isn't the fanciest restaurant in Columbus it's got to be pretty close. It's pretty expensive by Columbus standards with steaks as much as $48 each. Most meals come with a salad and a side order though. Everyone but me ordered the lobster bisque and most people said it was good but maybe a bit too salty. Salads were pretty good as far as salads go. People were generally satisfied with their steaks though they all seemed to be cooked more rare than you would normally expect. I ordered the chicken piccatta with a side of grits, both of which I found to be very good. We were all too full to eat dessert but there were a couple I would have liked to try. The place was kind of dark inside which was ok i guess, though overall it wasn't my cup of tea. I would say if you live in Columbus and have a special occasion this wouldn't be a bad place to celebrate. Ditto if you're in town on business and have an expense account. I'm not from the area but if it were my money I might drive an hour and a half to Atlanta. Staff was friendly but I just can't help but think it was a little overpriced for what it was.

Awesome food and I love that they support farms that practice sustainability. The Bibb salads are excellent! The house dressing and Bleu cheese are perfect compliments. The bacon wrapped filet was cooked perfectly. A great find!

My experience at Buckhead Grill is always more than pleasing, we were even offered special experimental appetizers and desserts by the chef the last time I was there. The price is above average compared to other restaurants in the area, but the food is worth it. Dining at Buckhead is a refreshing change from the typical dining experience around town. Great food, wonderful environment, and spectacular service, I consider Buckhead Grill to be among the top fine-dining experiences in the area.

My husband and i got engaged at the Buckhead Bar and Grill last year. Food and service was excellent. We returned about 2 months ago. Everything pretty good. Our experience two nights ago was awful. We had to wait for the hostess to complete her personal conversation with another employee, and she looked as if i had come in with poop on my shoes. She sat us at a table for two that had no utensils, no flowers, no salt and pepper shakers. Waiter was friendly enough - although we probably waited close to 10 minutes for him to come over -- and our crab leg appetizer was delicious. My husband ordered the filet - medium .. the waiter confirmed it would be a little pink and warm in side. In what seemed a very long time afterwards, my sea bass came out (seabass was delicious), but hubby's steak was borderline raw. The waiter took it back into the kitchen. I finished my dinner before the steak was returned, this time, barely medium rare. To their credit, the waiter was mortified. If I didn't know better I'd say that the chef was single handedly trying to do this restaurant in. We had a Ledger Deal Saver coupon and the waiter was able to finagle a $15 gift card for a future visit which, at this point, seems highly unlikely.

I have always heard great things about this place and honestly, it was very good. The server was awesome. Her name is TJ. The calamari was great. The Forerrunner Pinot Noir was great, The Oscar was an awesome 8 o Filet mignon topped off with Shrimp Risoto. Overall, no complaints. The only addition I could think to this place would be to add some form of live music. Maybe they have it on certain days... All in all, a great place for a date or to meet up with friends for a good steak and drinks!

  • Marshall C.

It's pricey and they have a nice selection of wagyu and angus beefs; seeing these on the menu I decided I should try their steak. And you know, it wasn't that good. It wasn't that bad, either, but for these prices, I would rather head up the road a piece. Our server was nice, but for the most part (and this is throughout Columbus) everybody seems like they're in the weeds when they're not. They have a great cocktail menu. The drinks took a little too long, and the wine recommendations were a little off. I would go back, but probably not as a first choice.

I am here from Colorado visiting my son who just graduated from Army Ranger training and who was in desperate need of some good nutrition, rest and relaxation. The food hit the mark but the best part was our waitress Zelda. She was warm, friendly, enthusiastic and was very endearing. She was very attentive and truly tried her best to make our experience wonderful! My son used to work in an upscale steakhouse in Colorado Springs and truly knows and appreciates every aspect of the business, so he may have a different perspective. For me it was perfect...I was with the person I love most and had great energy all around me! Thanks Zelda and staff! Abundant blessings sent your way!

We came here based on a suggestion from our hotel and I am happy we did. The food is incredible, California nachos using fried won tons as chips...deelish! Homemade pickles were amazing and I wanted to put them on everything. Our party kept growing in size from 4 to 8 and finally 10 but the service only got better as the evening went on. Don't miss out on the shrimp & grits (order them spicy if you like heat) and ask for a side of the habanero lemon sauce, very versatile. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was I wasn't a huge fan of the wine list, but there was an offering for everyone it just depends on what you want to spend. Summary: go there

The chef himself came out and apologized for my chicken dinner not being ready. He said it didn't meet his standards so he was cooking another dish. I thought, what a waste of a chicken. It's not like you can make a chicken taste that great. I was wrong. The meal was delicious. The chicken was moist and tender throughout and it was bursting with flavor. If I didn't live 2300 miles away, I'd go here again. I was with a group (of 8, I think) that had mostly steaks and everyone seemed to really enjoy their food and alcohol (I had wine). The staff, decor, and ambiance was great. I still feel bad about the first chicken though. I hope it wasn't thrown away.

Three strikes and their out. Went to place on a Friday and it was almost empty. Should have been a clue as to how far this placed has sank. Waited 20 minutes and was never offered a table. Girl at the front was very unorganized. Could not handle her job. This is the third and last time for this wannabe upscale restaurant. Has never measured up to its potential. Be prepared to to overpay for the quality and service you receive

I think this is one of the best restaurants in Columbus for two really good reasons. First the food is excellent, second the atmonsphere is awesome. It's a little dark, but very warm and inviting. You would never even know you were in Columbus except for the fact that you just walked in from outside. I actually felt like I was in LA or Orange County, CA, where I'm from. Prices are a little steep, but I ordered a pasta dish (Pasta with chicken and vodka sauce) and got a very large portion; so large, the leftovers lasted me two other meals. And it only got better as I warmed it up. Service is decent, not the best. I remember having to wait a little while to order food. The bar area is cute and has music on some nights. Great to go for just a drink or two and maybe an appetizer with a date or girlfriend.

Overall you will find the Buckhead Bar and Grill to be a very nice restaurant with some tasty food items- at exorbitant prices. I had a steak, and it was not a bad steak, but I cannot justify the price I was charged. The cut itself was not anything fancy. You could probably find just as good or better quality steaks at the grocery store. When I finished, I felt like I had just thrown a $10 steak on my own grill and ate it. No way does that merit $40+/plate.

the food is pretty decent and the staff was very friendly. caveat: our server told us that they cook their steaks on the rare side. indeed, my medium rare was definitely more on the rare side.

Pretty nice little place, waiters were very professional and courteous. I had the ribeye special, steak was cooked perfectly (med-rare) and the asparagus and blue cheese roasted tomatoes were unique and tasty. My wife had the filet bistro which was also superbly prepared and significantly cheaper than the special, 19 as opposed to 48. Was the steak good? yes, will i pay 48 dollars again to get it? never, I tasted the filet bistro as well, just as good. Anyways, good restaurant, pricey specials for columbus GA though

  • Hualin H.

The Cab Dry aged ribeye was wonderfully flavored, Filet Mignon was top quality, tender like butter. Bib lettuce wedge w house dressing & crumbled blue cheese won our hearts. We finished a full dinner w Granny Apple Pie a la mode; ice cream chewy and sweet, apple crispy & tart, the way I like my dessert. Top off all of that, our wait person, Sandy was knowledgeable, helpful, and sweet. Luv our experience here.

This place is awesome the shrimp and grits are the bomb (get em spicy). The food is great and steaks are tender. Best restaurant in Columbus hands down.

Awesome staff (especially the bartender), good food, and I love the 80s tunes and televised sports that are always playing at the bar (I have to admit I always eat at the bar, never a table, so service there could be different). It's a low-key, friendly, dark bar with good meat and drinks...

Ok this review is based on two different visits. The first was several months ago with 5 of my friends where we were ignored for so long after we were seated that we walked out. 6 healthy military males, ready to drink and eat would have amounted to a hell of a bill and tip. For fifteen minutes though neither a server, server assistant, host, busser, manager, or even a bathroom attendant showed up to our table. I wrote this place off indefinitely after that. Cut to last night... I wanted to go out and celebrate something, I also had a hot date that was in town, so I wanted to go someplace nice and Buckhead kept coming up in searches. I decided to give it another try. Our server was sincere and unobtrusive, the bartender wasn't stingy with the pours, the ambiance was great, and the Amuse Bouche was delicious. (Sweet potato wedge with an original sour cream, seated on some Siracha) Overall we both had a good time and enjoyed our meals. So onto the improves: I agree with other reviewers here who say it is overpriced. We paid I believe $10-11 a pop on Cap't an cokes, $20 for an 8oz filet mignon, and $59 for one of the chef specials, a dry rubbed NY t-bone strip, with a garlic butter sauce, spinach, and habanero roasted potatoes. The drinks I can understand because fancy places always try to charge fancy prices even though most liquor only costs about $1-2 a pour. The filet was also in a normal range that I have seen before. The special was ridiculous to me however. Two major points about this: 1. since when does dry rub make a bone-in cut more expensive than Filet Mignon or Wagyu beef? 2. I should have caught this when I was reading the menu, but what is the point of dry rubbing a steak, then dousing it with garlic butter? In the end all I tasted was the sauce. It was tasty but I think I got hosed because the menu's description far outweighed the quality of the steak. I also ordered it Medium Rare, and it was Medium through most of it. My date's filet was medium rare and they nailed it. Her garlic whipped potatoes were delicious, my potatoes were good, the spinach was blah. When it was all said and done, 3 drinks a piece, and two entrees equaled $160.00. For that kind of money I was hoping for food that made me drool. Oh and let's not forget the fucking yokels that went there in shorts, t-shirts without sleeves, ballcaps, and sandals. What the fuck hick South?!? I am in a nice matching sports coat and pants with a dress shirt. My date is in a sexy little black dress with heels and we're seated next to people that dressed as if they were going to the Sizzler. So in the end, first visit and 2nd visit combined, I give Buckhead Bar & Grill 3 stars. At least Columbus has a tiny sliver of class, even if it's overpriced.

I had a great meal at Buckhead's. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I plan on going back there tonight now that I drove by it adn it reminded me how much I enjoyed the place. Service was excellent. I felt like our waitresses was psychic because the moment I wanted anything she was there, yet she wasn't underfoot all the the time. If I wasn't married I might have tried to win her heart and take her home with me. Steak was very nicely cooked and obviously of high quality. Sides were good as well. Wine pour was generous and the wine selection was surprising for a small town like Columbus. All told an excellent experience. I probably should have given it five stars but now I'm too lazy to move the cursor back up and change it.

I loved the idea of this place looking like someone's house and the bar looked pretty cool but the food was so-so. I can' t say I was really impressed. I ordered my steak rare and it came out medium. I went to Outback the next week and had a better steak. And I hate it when that happens because the chain restaurants are NEVER supposed to win! I don' t think I will be heading back here. I'll find a couple of other places to try!! Plus I guess I could always go back to Outback, oh the horror!

I'm bittersweet about this place. The food is really good (pasta, steak, and bread... the bread is freaking amazing!), but the service is so horrible that my husband refuses to go back... and it takes a lot for him to get angry. I don't know if it's because we had more than 2 people or what, but we went back there another time hoping that it was just a bad night, but it sure wasn't.

The ambiance was pretty good as it is dark and really homey feeling. It was a little too loud and clamering though. It was not cheap but the portions were good and the food was very flavorful...especially the rack of lamb. The appetizers were huge too. Good place for a date with an upbeat mood.

The food here is very good, service is excellent and the ambiance is perfect. This is one of the top restaurants in Columbus, a great place for an dinner occasion with your significant other. Great variety on the menu, wide selection of wines and beer. Have been here many times and never had a bad experience.

This place is a joke, and it's not a funny one. The arrogance of the ownership/management is evident upon first glance at the menu. The prices are ridiculous. Buckhead Grill wants to be big-city restaurant with big-city prices, but all the fancy and cliched menu descriptions and trendy selections doesn't make for a good restaurant. $14 for crab rangoons ? You mean crab stuffed wontons I can get at any chinese takeout for $5 ? They were OK...but how do they justify the price ? $13 for fried Calamari ? Hmmm...at the best Italian restaurants in Atlanta they are $9 (Fritti and Pricci). It wasn't nearly as good here. California Nachos for $14 ? Just a mess of a concept and execution. It's like the kitchen was trying to come up with something unique sounding to use up all the leftovers. How about the caesar salad with grilled chicken ? It's $17...seriously...a caesar salad with chicken is $17. A dining companion had the Talapia with habanero lime sauce for $27. Talapia is about $5.99/lb at retail...I imagine the restaurant is getting it wholesale for $2.99/lb. Wow..what a dining destination...they have talapia !! It was a pedestrian dish that was no better than "OK, I guess" she reported. Another at the table had the shrimp and grits....poorly done. The shrimp were seasoned with "cajun" spice which did not enhance the dish and the grits were overcooked. How about the $37 grouper ? Are you kidding ? That's about $10 more than the best fish restaurants in Atlanta. Leaving no food cliche unturned, the trendy gourmet cheeseburger is either $16 or $21. Are they trying to compete with the $27 burger at the 21 Club in Manhattan ? I tasted one...again, not as good as the best burger places in Atlanta (Holeman and Finch $12, Bocado $12), and more expensive here. Steaks are priced at the level of the top steakhouses in Atlanta. The wine list has some different selections, but at three times retail pricing, you can't help but feel like you're getting ripped off. Maybe they think most Columbus residents dont' know any better. Infact, I feel like that's they're belief behind the entire restaurant. The problem is, if you're going to be the most expensive restaurant in town, and your prices are aligned with some of the best restaurants in Atlanta, New Orleans, Charleston, etc, then you'd better justify your prices. Out of the 4 appetizers, one salad, and 4 entrees our table had, there was nothing that was exceptional. Some were "not good" or "just ok", others may have risen to the "not bad" or "it's pretty good". That's not good enough. The sevice was fine, the atmosphere was comfortable. The food did not live up to the arrogant pricing.

My mother-in-law lived in Columbus and ever since 2006 I have been coming to Buckhead. It is constantly good and I enjoy the low key atmosphere. I was in Columbus at the end of the June 2012, my mother-in-law had passed away and I was taking care of her business. I came to the Buckhead twice to have dinner and twice to have drinks at the bar - it was convenient since I was staying close by. Amanda and all the other young folks who serve and bartend were and are wonderful. I want to thank them, by the way, for my last night there when Travis - the jerk from Arkansas was being idiot at bar to both Amanda and I, and asked to leave. I was walked back to my hotel by one of the kitchen crew out of concern and I think you guys whole heartedly. This was on the event of July 1st. Thank you guys always, for making my visit to Buckhead a memorable one - By the way, the food has always been great!

We were satisfied with Buckhead although it has ample room to improve. The food is extremely overpriced for what it is. My filet was perfectly cooked but dramatically lacking seasoning. It was extremely bland but perfect texture. The nachos were wonderful but the crab legs were way over cooked and rubbery. The restaurant was empty when we went but the line was out the door because the host was no where to be found and our server was training another server but unfortunately our server was wonderfully polite, however was no where to be found for most of the evening - we waited forever to be checked on, get our bill. Overall, they got a lot right and a lot wrong but I'm still willing to try this place again at some point and we'll see.

I'll start by saying the vinaigrette dressing was AMAZING. Unfortunately, the rest of the story is not good. I remember this place from back in the day, it was great!. I hadn't been in a while, but went a couple of weeks ago. We had reservations for a party of 7 on an early (6pm) saturday evening. An anniversary dinner was taking place and a saxophone player was serenading them for 3-4 songs when we arrived. It was great and sweet but entirely too loud for an enclosed place(I mean painfully loud). Looking back, this set the tone for the evening. The place was desolate, yet it took 10 minutes to get each glass(or should I say 1/3 glass) of wine(one of which was wrong and had to be repoured, that was a 20 minute glass of wine).....waited 40+ minutes for our salads. It was interesting to see the difference in the amount of wine you receive according to what you order. Note: don't order Sauvignon Blanc unless you like paying $8 for 3 sips of wine (the other girls ordered riesling, chardonnay and pinot noir, all got a decent pour). The food was decent, but the terrible service overshadowed this. The waiter was very nice and apologetic about the slow service, I felt bad. I will only try it again if there is a function there I am obligated to attend. I MIGHT try brunch on Sunday....for less money, I can deal with shitty service. Also, for a saturday night, there wasn't an excessive amount of guests.....there was no reason for such slow service...at least none that I could see. Don't get the chicken florentine. And although I'm grateful they feed the cats, they are reproducing at an alarming rate. Trap, spay/neuter, release. I was a nervous wreck leaving and trying not to run over the kittens....which are entirely too comfortable around moving vehicles.

I really liked this place. I thought the steak tasted great (a filet) . Very tasty. And the portions were good, not so small that you feel disappointed. Check the lounge in the front when you walk in, its pretty stylish for hanging out, which was unexpected. And the owner takes his job seriously, and is willing to make anything right (not that I had any complaints, but I saw him working). Plus, really pleasant attitudes on the staff too (obviously there is some training going on there), which always makes spending money out much more worthwhile. Gotta hate rude or pretentious people. If you want a good cut of meat, a drink, and good energy with lots of people around, then this is a good choice. My favorite restaurant in Columbus.

The Buckhead Bar and Grill was absolutely delicious! It is great for date nights! The good was amazing and the husbands beer was only $3 a glass! This place is a bit pricey but it's well worth it and the service was amazing!

Came in for the first time and was seated immediately even without a reservation. The decor is very nice and romantic. Very intimate and there was a beautiful smelling fragrance from the candle burning at the front as we walked in immediately made me excited for our dinner experience. Before we received our food we were greeted with an special appetizer made by the chef on the house. Yummy! Ordered the Chicken Marsala, Buffalo dip Filet Oscar and plenty of sides. Delicious! Pictures do not do it justice. Our waitress Stephanie was very attentive and prompt and made our dinner experience very, very enjoyable. So we had to get dessert! Will be back again and again! Highly recommended!

I've visited this establishment on several occasions and the great service remains consistent. I was host to family from Atlanta visiting this past holiday and they were very impressed with the ambiance as well as the entrees. A solid choice of restaurants if you have a large social group to entertain.

My family always heads out to Buckhead Bar and Grill when we have something special to celebrate. The steaks are always great and cooked as you like them. Note that they will butterfly any steak requested at a temperature above medium. I'm sure it pains them to cook the steaks that way. I usually get a steak when I come here, but had to check out other options on my last dinner visit here. I went for the Rustic shrimp and crab scampi. The dish was really good. Plenty of large shrimp and a lot of crab meat. The pasta also had a lot of veggies included as well. I also checked out the place for brunch on my last visit here. They offer a nice selection of brunchy items to satisfy most cravings. There was a bit of a wait for those without reservations so I'd advise to make reservations if you want to dine here on a Sunday afternoon. A lot of people complain about the high prices here. Yes, the prices are high for the Columbus area. But, this is a steak place. I find the steak prices to be comparable, if not cheaper to those in the Atlanta area. Also, it's very rare to actually pay full price here. I've never paid full price for a meal. They are always sending out 25% off dinner coupons and 50% off brunch coupons in the mail. My most recent dinner here for 4 people included alcoholic beverages, appetizer, 2 filet steaks, chicken dish and seafood pasta dish. We had a 25% off coupon and the meal was only $130 before tip. Make sure to tip on the pre-discounted amount!

This place supposedly has been here for years and in all my years of living in line mountain and traveling to Columbus I never saw it. If you're not driving slow or don't have GPS you'll pass it easily!! So first one way in one way out as far as parking goes. It's surrounded by trees which actually keeps the mood and atmosphere kinda nice inside. It's very quiet and the bar area has a nice selection. I took my best friend here for a late birthday dinner and she loved it she order the lamb medium well. The chef sent out free appetizer (southwestern egg rolls) and they even left a card on the table wishing her happy birthday!! Each meal had an edible orchid on it which I decided to give a shot since it was there! Overall I give this a great rating only thing I hated was that I heard such great lee views about their Gouda shrimp and grits but when I arrived I was told they stopped selling it a while ago. But other than that the pasta and wine was delightful!

No thanks.

Just found our favorite Sunday brunch place in Columbus, GA!! My husband and I ordered Breakfast Wellington and Hangover chili and eggs. Friendly amazing service by our server Joy, phenomenal food and good vibe. The Breakfast Wellington is delicious, beef and some greens wrapped in croissant type of pastry that just melts in your mouth. Hangover chilli egg is good and hearty, with spicy kick to it with that sriracha sauce! Definitely on top of my list!

Went tonight with a group of teachers from work. Service was horrible!! Took forever for our food to come out. They brought out appetizers and didn't bring the plates until a good 5 minutes later. Took 45 minutes for them to bring out my salad. FYI if you have a coupon and your party is over 6 people they won't honor it. Even if you only have 2 people on your ticket. Food was mediocre. You can get a better steak and service at Longhorn. Very disappointed!!

So I was told by many locals that this place was the shit. Well, that is partially correct. We came he with a group of six, half of which had previously been to the restaurant a few years ago. I made reservation as recommended, but probably not needed for a Wednesday night. The ambiance here is interesting..kind of rustic, kind of fancy, kind of bar-e...The hostess seemed a bit off. Not slow, but just didnt seem to react to things quickly. We were seated near the fireplace, and it was off, so I asked if we could have a fire if it was not to much trouble.. I was thinking that they would have to put wood in, etc...I asked twice, finally someone else at the table asked and it was flipped on instantly..yes, its a gas fireplace... Next to our server...oh my..after about 10 minutes, she came by and took our drink order..then 20 minutes later, or appetizer order, then 20 more minutes later our dinner..see how this is going?? The appetizers were OK, but nothing to write home about. The nachos were the best thing, but not worth $15. I do not recommend the calamari. So yeah 1.5 hrs after we get there we get our food. Well, we got parts of each others food. I received my coworkers steak, and he got my side item, and this was pretty much the theme for the rest of the table. I ordered the bacon wrapped fillet. It was actually cooked and tasted great. This was a very long dinner, and the service as non existent. I probably will not be back, but at least the steak was good.

I love the low dim lighting and the food was good too. Most importantly the staff was wonderful, they were attentive to our party of 16. They even left a congratulations on your graduation on the table. I enjoyed myself next time I come id like for it to be on a romantic night with the hunny. It's a great place for a romantic date.

Relaxing atmosphere with great decor and a very attentive staff. The seafood in the shrimp and lump crab pasta meal was fresh and absolutely delicious! My girlfriend had the Reddish Special which was also fresh and very well done! I would recommend this restaurant for a casual upscale dining experience and will be back!

If you want to have a romantic sit down dinner with your spouse, this is the place. I would always recommend Epic first, but not everyone has $150 to drop on dinner. This place was really good and the atmosphere was everything my wife and I wanted in a date night. I fully recommend this place for anyone who wants a nice anniversary or date night dinner. Everything the wife and I have had at this place was great.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I don't usually leave long ass reviews & usually can't stand when ppl do but I have to share my experience so y'all think twice before coming here. I do believe a lot of these reviews are fake because this restaurant offers you a 25% discount off your bill to leave a good comment! Beware! This place is overpriced! You can get better food at cheddars, outback, or Texas Roadhouse! Hell I'd rather go to applebees rather than here! (And I'm not a fan of applebees, lol) this is fine dining for ppl who don't know better. Upon first entering the place looks promising- nice fireplace area, dim lighting... And that's it.. The place is in need of an update. Carpets are dingy and nasty looking (I'm sure smelly too) the service sucks ass... We were a party of 4 who went on a double date.. And our server was constantly MIA?? We had to walk to the bar which was 10 ft away and get our own drinks most the night- the one time our server actually offered to take our drink order it took her 20 mins!! Again, the bar was only 10 ft away.... And our drinks sat there until she reappeared from where ever she was hiding all night. As for the food, yuk!!! Among the four of us we ordered the ribeye, fillet, and some chicken dish.. None were memorable. My steak was so freaking greasy (fried in a vat of butter is my guess..) I had a stomach ache for 2 days... The chicken was dry and also greasy and left to sit there after a couple bites, again, yuk! My husbands fillet was also greasy and not tender but not completely terrible... We haven't found anyone in the town who can cook a proper fillet (sad but true). The BEST thing we ate was the FREE salad that comes with the meal!! Great salad. When we got the bill the server had automatically added a $40 tip to the $180 bill!! Really?! HA! ... But we paid it and let her know that she shouldn't have added it without our consent. I'm mean right??! Honestly, Someone would have to pay me to go back there and IF that happens I'll stick with the salad. Btw, this was my second time here. I also came here 9 months ago... And NO improvement. The first time I met a girlfriend for drinks and we ordered the tuna tataki which came to the table smelly & grey... We sent it back and the cook made the server come out with the whole block of tuna to prove it was fresh and I wish I took a pic because it was a huge block of grey, improperly defrosted, smelly, that was suppose to be tuna?? We very politely told them if they showed us that before hand we would not have bothered to order it. We also sent back the creme brûlée because they lied when we asked if they used vanilla bean or vanilla extract and they clearly do not use vanilla bean (at that time) and it tasted like cake batter. If you want a good creme brûlée go to bonefish grill! Their creme brûlée is excellent! We also ordered the stuffed lobster which was horrendous! I posted a review on urbanspoon and they since taken it off the menu (good riddins!)

I've been to Buckhead a few times now and it seems as if the service gets progressively worse every time. Food is excellent but the service is just horrible. I sat with a table of 6 and they got our drink orders wrong (some were right). they also took forever to take our order and the messed up the food order. We ended up having to trade the food at the table amongst each other to get it all sorted out. Some had the other's steaks or side dish and they had to be switched around. The waitress did offer to cook me another steak when one of my party already had a taste but since it was a close friend and I didn't want to wait another hour for my meal I just took it. It was a huge let down as I was excited to take the folks who had never been. They enjoyed the food but the service was pretty bad. I felt compelled to give it 3 stars but there were no offers other than to redo the meals, which didn't make sense for us since she knew we waited a long time. It took 2.5 hours to eat dinner. Unacceptable in my book.

When calling for the reservation there was a lot of confusion but I was able to get the reservation for Valentines Day. We arrived about five minutes before the 4:00 PM time (which is when they open) and they made a big deal that we were early (along with about four other couples). Once inside the atmosphere was nice and quiet but not elegant as I thought it would be for the prices. The wife ordered a Martini that she said was really good. The rest of the food was ok but nothing to jump up and down about especially with the price. The waitress was super nice and prompt so no issue there. I gave it a two star because the price real doesn't match the food quality.

Visiting the area, this place sounded great for a family dinner. The atmosphere was great as we sat outside, the service was a 7 out of 10. Two out of the four of us where very disappointed in the quality of steak that we chose. I had the Prime New York Strip and the other gentleman had the Hawaiian Steak. Very much over priced for the quality. Again, the atmosphere was very nice.

I have read the other reviews posted here, and agree with all those who commented on the terrible service, high prices, and mediocre food. My fiance took me to brunch today. The place was probably 1/3 full. Yet we waited to be seated (no attendant in sight), waited 20 minutes for a server to even appear to offer water. Then we waited another 20 minutes to place our order, and over half an hour for the food to arrive. We were so hungry we actually fished the sliced cucumbers out of our water, got a salt shaker from another table (no condiments were present at our table), salted and ate our cucumbers. I played games on my cell phone; my fiance walked around outside; we tied our napkins into kerchiefs for entertainment. I wanted to leave; but he had planned the outing as a nice surprise, so we stuck it out. Finally, a restaurant representative of some kind stopped at our table to ask how things were going. I said no one had taken our order. She apologized and said that the manager, Robert, would "take over" and be our server. "Take over" from whom, I wonder? We had yet to see a server! A few minutes later, Robert approached to take our drink orders, as well as our food orders. He apologized for the poor service; BUT his handling of our meal was no better. The food took forever. I needed butter, and asked a passing server. She assured me that she would bring some to our table....... never happened. So I went to the bar and asked Robert (our server) for some butter......... once again, never got it. I finally walked over to a service area to get it myself. We never got water refills. The food was nothing special. My steak was mediocre. The best part of my meal was the potatoes. At the end of our visit, a man obviously in management of some capacity inquired as to our satisfaction with the meal. I told him about the nonexistent service, lengthy wait, and sub-par food. He apologized; but I got the feeling that these people are accustomed to dissatisfied customers. A young lady (hostess, perhaps) approached and apologized, explaining that the staff had worked late last night due to Valentine's Day diners. I told her nicely that if an establishment opens its doors, it should be ready for business. This restaurant automatically charges an %18 gratuity for "service". Because we HAD NO SERVICE, we insisted that that charge be removed, which it was. Customers should not be forced to pay for nonexistent service. My fiance was disappointed and extremely sorry for having taken me to Buckhead Bar and Grill. But I told him that now we know where NOT to go! Never again............

My husband and I enjoyed our second anniversary at the Buckhead tonight. He ate the New York strip while I had the shrimp scampi. The food and service was excellent!

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was exceptional. I had the delmonico ribeye; it was excellent. Our server, Amber, was conscientious and friendly, didn't hover but was always there when needed.

Great food and service. Get the chicken and waffles. Ate here while visiting friends. Will come back next time we are in Columbus

This place was okay. It looks quaint from the outside and has a cabin like feel on the inside. The food was just okay. I had the filet mignon with lobster knuckle topping. Don't order the lobster topping. It's a tiny piece of lobster with a bunch of shrimp. The steak was fine. The loaded baked potato was actually tasty. The wedge salad was really good as well. Overall an unimpressive dinner.

We didn't get passed the appetizer. As soon as we saw the biggest friggin' cockroach crawling towards us like something out of a cheap B movie thriller, we paid out check and got the hell out of there before he made it to our table. Or worse, the kitchen. No thanks.

Awesome staff (especially the bartender), good food, and I love the 80s tunes and televised sports that are always playing at the bar (I have to admit I always eat at the bar, never a table, so service there could be different). It's a low-key, friendly, dark bar with good meat and drinks...

The food here is very good, service is excellent and the ambiance is perfect. This is one of the top restaurants in Columbus, a great place for an dinner occasion with your significant other. Great variety on the menu, wide selection of wines and beer. Have been here many times and never had a bad experience.

Zero.

I couldn't ask for a better dinner or better service. The food was incredible and the staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed the entire evening and look forward to our next visit

Very poor service. Did not have a chance to try their food because they would not seat us. The place was empty at 9 pm when we walked in. They did not allow our party to sit at the bar and they refused to seat us because we didn't have a reservation. Ended up leaving because the hostess was snotty.

My husband and I enjoyed our second anniversary at the Buckhead tonight. He ate the New York strip while I had the shrimp scampi. The food and service was excellent! Their signature balsamic dressing is a must-have on the wedge salad! The chef even sent out a complimentary wonton appetizer and it was delicious! Excellent dining for Columbus area!

Hit or miss. Sometimes it is among the best meals I've ever eaten...sometimes it is a decent meal with inconsistent service. Worth a try but don't expect everything perfect all the time. The steaks are among the best I've had!

You will leave here with a full stomach. Brunch is always great. Mimosas, and Bloody Mary's, will make you smile. Very friendly staff as well. *two thumbs up*

Zero.

The ambiance was pretty good as it is dark and really homey feeling. It was a little too loud and clamering though. It was not cheap but the portions were good and the food was very flavorful...especially the rack of lamb. The appetizers were huge too. Good place for a date with an upbeat mood.
