We went here last night and overall pretty good. Five stars for the presentation of food, the generous food portions, the service, the atmosphere, and the CAKE!! We shared a giant slice of carrot cake-cheesecake and it was amazing. I am happy that there is a place closer than Marietta/Kennesaw or whatnot to get some wonderful cheesecake. But all of that aside I must deduct one star for the taste of the food. We both thought it was just OKAY and even kind of bland. Don't come here expecting to give your tongue a taste of food heaven. We both thought there was a distinct lack of spices and seasoning. I didn't even really care for the salsa that came with the chips or the guacamole that came with the meal. For this price point it is acceptable, but the food is not exceptional. So in summation, this is a fine place to eat - especially for a discount or kids eat free type deal, but the food is nothing I would crave or go out of my way for at this point. I would return for the cheesecake however!! (The cheesecake is beautifully decorated as well, so I apologize that there is no picture. It smelled so good we demolished it before we knew what happened).

Meh. The decor was nice....and then you pick up your menu. All the pages stuck together. Gross! The waitress didn't bring chips and salsa, we had to ask for it. Hmmmm...first Mexican restaurant where that happened. Then I asked what one if the sauces were, it was listed in all the beef and chicken menu options (or the majority)...her answer, and I am being honest, "well, ummmmmm (looked away and then back at me).....well it's a sauce with spices". Say what!?!?!?! Thanks for nothing. Had to google it. She was nice, attentive, but not knowledgeable about Mexican food or the menu. The entire time we sat there the bus boy rolled around a cart plum full of dirty dishes that made such a loud noise and was really gross to look at. The food was mediocre. Nothing special about it. Nothing horrible though. Won't be back. When we left a truck pulled up next to us and asked about the place. My husband pointed down the road to another Mexican restaurant to try. And my husband is NOT a picky person. Try a different place.

This restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the interior decor is impressive. My co-workers and I would eat here for lunch every payday, and the service was always excellent. Their food is authentic, and there are a lot of choices, all reasonably priced. The parking lot can be a little busy, but don't let that deter you; the space inside is larger than it appears, and most importantly, the margaritas are delicious!

Great decor. Staff friendly. The chicken nachos were bland and not what I expected. Cheese dip was small but tasty. The chips are light and airy, love that. Salsa a bit spicier than I like, asked if they had a milder version and they didn't. Bathroom messy. Would probably return if there wasn't better Mexican in town. But there is.

Great steak fajitas, cheese dip, enchiladas Supremas. Clean booths - Mexican music not so loud you can't talk

Normally good food, decent service. Tonight was very disappointing. Waitress continually ignored us. Never got drinks. After 5-10 minutes they seated two more tables in iur area and same waitress who had to know how long we were there, waited on other tables first!!!! We got up and left. Very sad. Beware.

Food was typical fare, maybe somewhat better than down the street a mile or so. The service was horrible. The hostess lost track of our party and kept passing us up... even though we were 10 feet away at the bar. (And it wasn't that busy) The server was clueless - he might have been new.. but awful. That's a management training problem! I'll give them another try... because friends routinely recommend them.

Great chips and salsa. always fresh!! I have only had the lunch quesadilla with cheese and beans, so cannot comment much on food except that the quesadilla was good. The service is quick and friendly so good for lunch. The ambience is nice and casual.

I have never been to a restaurant chain that has better chips & salsa than Las Palmas. I have eaten here a few times, and the food is just as good as other Las Palmas. Interesting note: Unlike other Las Palmas that I have been too. This one actually mixes some cilantro into the salsa, and just like the good Las Palmas chains, this one gives everyone their own salsa bowl. I have also noticed this Las Palmas has special discounts on each day of the week. I am not sure if other Las Palmas have started doing it, but this is the first Las Palmas I have noticed to start doing it regularly. The fact this place combines all the best parts of the other Las Palmas chains, and includes cilantro in the salsa, coupled with special discounts, makes this my favorite Las Palmas. Hands Down.

Love the fajitas, cheese dip and fresh guacamole. Lots of daily drink and food specials, as well as super nice servers.

Some of the BEST Mexican food ever. The guacamole made right at your table with your choice of ingredients, the presentation, even the chips and salsa were all fabulous. I dropped in on my way home from a trip. I will drive 40 miles back to get this wonderful fare and great service again. Absolutely 5 Stars +.

Good place for Mexican food, service is fast and friendly. Once you walk into the restaurant you feel relaxed, because of the surrounding.

Great food. Great prices. We were driving down I-75 and yelped mexican food. Las Palmas came up. Thank goodness. We had the guacamole and steak quesadilla. YumMee. The guacamole portion could feed a family of 5. Looking forward to my next visit.

Best Mexican food in Cartersville. Clean, bright, well decorated with great wait staff. Easily the cleanest washrooms I've ever seen in a Mexican restaurant. Great for those who don't like their food as spicy, or who like super spicy food. Highly recommended!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
