1:00 PM visit mid week. 2/3 occupied with empty tables though a wait at the door. I sat at the bar with 3 others; ordered the fish tacos and side salad. The server asked if I would like the salad first... "yes" was my response. Fifteen minutes later I recieved the fish tacos that tasted like they were trying to cover some "off" flavor with hot sauce. At first I thought it was the fish but then realized that it was the coleslaw that had the rank odor/ flavor. It must have sat uncovered in the walk-in cooler for several weeks. Oh, they did bring the salad at the end of my meal. But it was accompanied by the the smell of the cleaning spray the bar tender used 4 ft. from my food.

Thought we would try it after seeing the reviews on yelp. Unfortunately after sitting outside for 20 min without a server even taking our drink order we got up and left. There were only a handful of people there and now I know why. Can't testify to the food, but the service sucks. Oh yeh my favorite was when my wife got up and asked the hostess about a server the reply she got "yeh hold on". Not an apology an explanation or any sign of urgency. We won't try this place again. Will also think twice before basing our choice on just a couple of vague yelp reviews as well.

This place has a sea food menu similar to B & J in Darien, but this place is a nicer atmosphere.

We were in the area for a week and this was the worst, most expensive meal we had. Half the menu items said Market Price and the waitress seemed surprised that we asked the price. Everything was $5 - $10 higher for the same dishes are similar restaurants. My husband's steak was over cooked and my seafood was greasy,

Excellent food. We all enjoyed our lunch immensely! The cool breeze on the deck made it even more pleasant. Saving this spot to my faves!

Great restaurant right next to the marsh. When you think of a marsh you might think of a smelly nasty pit that you wouldn't want to dine next to. Not the case here, it's actually pretty nice. If it's a nice day out this restaurant has outside seating for a very nice atmosphere. Food is a good mix of sea food, burgers, and sandwiches and it has a full bar. I would definietely recommend it.

Perfect way to start our vacation, on the deck at Marshside watching the sunset over a shrimp boat, listening to classic rock tunes from a talented local band. Kids had a blast dancing, and we enjoyed the meal and drinks. Tip: some of the best fried seafood ever. Quality ingredients prepare perfectly.

Great food. Go see Blake, Marc, and Moon. Best view in Glynn county. Fresh seafood from City Market.

Midweek lunch with storms approaching and the place was packed (not one empty seat at the bar.) My server was fantastic, she could do her job in her sleep! My seafood platter (fried fish, shrimp, scallops, and oysters) with FF and hush puppy was fresh and cooked perfectly, and only $9.95! Great views of the marsh. Comfortable and clean, casual but not frumpy. Will definitely be back soon!

Marshside seems very similar to the Spanky's it replaced. However, the menu is expanded, allowing for a slightly better variety of food. I had the shrimp and scallops meal with french fries and a side salad. The salad is simple, but the Italian dressing that I ordered was excellent. The shrimp and scallops were fried, but still well-seasoned. The french fries were pretty standard, but its not a big deal to me. According to their menu, you only get one free refill on soft drinks. I never go beyond that, so I have no idea what happens afterwards, but its worth consideration when ordering. Service was pretty good, considering the busyness of the place. The area is particularly noisy though. I'm not sure if it was the acoustics of the building or simply the camaraderie around the bar area, but the noise was a bit distracting. You get some nice views of the marsh, however.

Home of the chicken finger! Quick and friendly spanky style service for full restaurant, but food quality was crappy. The waitress was sweet and let me changesome of it.

We stopped here after a dentist appointment, as my boyfriend loved Spanky's. We sat down and ordered our drinks. Two minutes later, while still obviously trying to decide what to eat, the waitress came up asking if we were ready. This is probably my biggest restaurant pet peeve. When I'm ready to order, I look up or place my menu to the side. We both ordered the Full Moon Platter off the lunch menu. He got his fried with spuds and I got mine blackened with a baked potato. I requested the potato be mashed a bit so I wouldn't have to burn my hands on the hot foil when it came. My boyfriend's food looked food, but mine was less than appetizing. The seafood was hardly blacked, but was drenched in oil with the coated spices. No crisp at all. We both received 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, and 3 oysters. The shrimp were tiny, and the portion size as a whole was insulting. 11 dollars for this? I even had to pay an extra $1.50 for my plain baked potato, yet there was more potato spuds on my boyfriend's plate which came with the meal. The shrimp was entirely overcooked and almost hard. My fish, even with the abundance of spices, tasted disgustingly fishy. The only thing I enjoyed was my baked potato after smothering it in butter and sour cream. The waitress only checked on us once after bringing our food, and my boyfriend's water was practically empty his entire meal. She never came back to refill it, only to bring the check. The booths are uncomfortable, and the music went out completely during the meal. The prices may be ok, but the amount of food is laughable. Not worth the 30 dollars we spent.

We ate lunch at The Marshside Grill on Mon Oct 14th. we split a cup of Brunswick Stew (our 1st ever) and it was yummy delicious. Next time will each get our own order!!! We each had the Full Moon Platter and was very pleased with the lunch portion size, price and most importantly the quality of the food. Will eat there again.
