Pizza Joint Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Blood Pressure at Pizza Hut

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust and Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice at all costs when you order at Pizza Hut. Both these pizzas contain a high amount of sodium which can spike your blood pressure levels. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

Excellent food and service. The slices are BIG and two slices can fill a person. They have a lunch buffet but I haven't tried it- I stick with slices. Never been dissatisfied with the pizza at any of their locations.

If I had thought to type this during my first two visits, this would be a five star review. This visit finds me leaving with a different mindset. On my previous visits, the wings were to die for - perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. This time it was a pile of soft, greasy wings that tasted of poultry seasoning. In my 18 years of loving stromboli, I have never had one come in eight fingerlike pieces all smooshed into one another. This used to be a family destination when we wanted good food. It may be time to look elsewhere. Also somebody explain to me how they were out of kids ham and cheese sandwiches? I had too much ham in my boli, my wife had cheese in her sandwich, and the people next to us had hoagie rolls in whatever they were eating. I think the waiter didnt know what he was talking about. The next day I still dont feel like eating my leftovers. Update - after speaking with the general manager, he is making an effort to make it right. Ill update this after our next encounter there.

Rough and dirty on the inside, like the owners just said F'it. Pizza is editable, not great but it probably won't kill. Beer selection is pretty sorry. I won't be back.

I went with coworkers after work and had a great time. The atmosphere was relaxed, a little noisy, and fun. I drank a left handed stout and was impressed. My calzone was a little under cooked in my opinion. Everything else was amazing. Great pizza!

Dinner with Friends Service was without reproach but the new item on the menu chicken calzone was horrible, couldn't eat it, friends wanted to taste it and they couldn't eat it, the waitress asked if we wanted a box to take it home, no thank you! Salad was mediocre, meat ball sandwich arrived with cold meatballs, pizza was okay. The place looked dirty, surprised they allow them to serve food.

This place is simply a sh*thole. No other way to put it. It's as nasty and decrepit as the rest of downtown Augusta. Service is non existent. Seriously. The staff just ignores you and I think it is on purpose. You are better off going to the Costco food court for pizza as it tastes better than the crap they masquerade as pizza here. The restaurant is literally falling apart and no one seems to care. They act like they are doing you a favor allowing you to eat there. You are much better off going to Mellow Mushroom up he street.

This place is one of my favorites. The staff are professional and the service is great. We were waiting for a table tonight, no reservations and they kept in constant communication with us. They even moved some tables along in a friendly manner without being rude. Kid friendly and OUTSTANDING food plus the prices are reasonable.

2 drafts bud lights, 2 draft microbrew, 4 slices of specialty pizza and a side of chips will run you around $28 before you tip out. We decided to come here for bite and a drink. first thing I noticed was the staff seemed more friendly than usual, not to say they were ever unfriendly, and it was really nice. We were greeted by the outside staff then by the inside staff. We sat ourselves and our waitress came immediately. It was nice that the table was pretty much clean and the floor was not sticky as I have come to expect. The only gripe now are the menus. They need to switch to a more robust menu that can hold up to being wiped down or go to a one use type as the menus do not instill a sense of cleanliness. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. When we got our pizza the manager came immediately over and informed us that we could eat the slices they delivered if we liked but he let us know he felt the pizza crusts were coming out way too hard and they were making us new ones regardless. I really appreciate commitment to/ pride in quality, as well as the proactive approach is something you just do not see anymore. When my girlfriend took a bite she said the crust was definitely harder than usual but the pizza was far from being off or wrong in our opinion. All the pizzas tasted good and had plenty of toppings. When we got home we did try a bite of the slices they gave us to see how much difference there was and yeah the more chew as opposed to crunch of the crust makes a big difference as to how the pizza eats. Again kudos for caring so much about your final product. I would love to give 5 stars but those menus prevent that. The beer menu and regular menu just look and feel unclean. Like I said change them to a one use or get the more expensive type that hold up better or maybe even change the ones you have a lot more frequently.

I usually love this place but my recent visit was disappointing. Dishwasher was broke so they served drinks in "to-go" cups, which was fine. Server forgot to bring us our salad so it came out at the same time as the pizza. However she forgot to bring us the oil and vinegar and disappeared for 10 minutes. Pizza was caked with flour all over the bottom of the pizza so every bite was like putting a spoon of flour in your mouth. They have a good Greek salad and the spicy sausage they use is one of my favorite in town.

First of all let me start off by saying I do not like pizza very much the boyfriend however, loves it. (I know what you're thinking why would you go to a pizza place then?) I am fine with getting something else whenever we go to a pizza place and just having a slice. Here we go: This place is awesome! We got a salad, wings and a pizza (duh), I recommend getting the hot wings. The wings aren't too spicy, and you can enjoy the wings without setting your mouth on fire! The atmosphere was great, the servers are friendly. It reminds me of a college pizza joint. Once Don't Stop Believin' by Journey comes on, you bet your sweet ass the whole place will be singing along! The place is just great, I even enjoyed the pizza. They also provide many different beers.

Solid Augusta-Local Pizza. I prefer the Downtown Location for Lunch as sometimes it is a great deal to get the buffet, if they're keeping the pizza coming that day. Definitely an easy place to stop in for a cheap lunch or dinner with a group. Good outdoor seating, great atmosphere in general. Downtown staple that everyone should check out.

Service Failure! I waited over 30 minutes for two pizza slices to go that NEVER came. Obviously my order was lost. The problem is the bartender/manager assured me several times it would only be a couple more minutes. But he never personally checked on this, just assumed. I did get a refund, a rewards cards, and an apology. And walked away hungry.

Wonderful Sunday pizza lunch at downtown Pizza Joint. The best draft beer selection in town. In you are wanting pizza and beer, this is the place!

  • Nick B.

Pizza Joint is one of my all time fav pizza places and they seem a little better now than in the past. One of the best brew selections in town, so if ur a beer enthusiast such as myself... At least come enjoy that much along with a fun, atmosphere. I'm used to the service being super slow but this most recent trip I was presently surprised! I ordered a slice of specialty - "carnivore" which includes beef, Ham, pepperoni and Italian sausage. I also ordered another slice of specialty - "the Bleu Buffalo". This one is chicken, buffalo and Bleu cheese of course. Slices here are huge and fairly priced for the size. Both very tasty as well. I've never had a bad slice here... Specialty or build your own. Salads are huge but very standard. A Plain Jane tossed salad with some fancy flavored dressing was still very plain Jane. Atmosphere is very artsy and rustic... A couple tv's here and there. Outdoor seating and a "sunroom" style room for seating make much better spring and summer options than winter! Enjoy the Pizza Joint!

Today I went to Pizza Joint on Broad St during my lunch break. It was during the lunch rush so it was busy. I sat myself and was greeted within a few minutes. My server was nice and polite. I ordered the lunch special of a slice of pizza and a half sandwich. It took about 30 minutes for my food to get to my table. While I understand it was during the lunch rush, 30 minutes is still a bit too long to wait, especially since a party of 4 (who sat down after me) got their food well before me. Overall, the food was good. Next time I'll return after the lunch rush.

Very Poor Bar Service to the point of Rudeness! My wife and I stopped a couple week ago to grab a couple beers and a pizza. It appear that the bartender and bar maid were challenging each other as to whom (or I should say would not serve us). They would both walk past and glance at our empty glasses on numerous occasions and appeared to be disinterested. We remained courteous, but could not believe worst service we have ever encountered. The beer selection was very good but we left before ordering a pizza. If you walk in and see the young man with the ball cap and/or the woman with long black hair & nose ring I recommend turning around and going else where. The experience was at best very disappointing.

The build-your-own pizza was great. The crust was crispy and the ingredients were fresh. I prefer the Pizza Joint to Mellow Mushroom because the pizzas are larger and the aren't greasy at all.

Awesome place to get some pizza in Augusta. Great atmosphere, and really good food. What else can you ask for? Oh wait....wings..... This place puts a spice on wings that is nothing short of spectacular. Get some with no sauce. You won't regret it!

We will never go back to Pizza Joint again. The employees disrespected us very greatly. The cook was making our pizza with his shorts down and his boxers showing. After telling him to pull up his pants and that we didn't want to see his boxers while he was cooking our food, the employees began talking about us and staring at us. We deserve an apology from the restaurant. That is the definition of bad customer service. Customers should not be talked about by employees when we are right in front of them.

Pizza Joint is the quintessential Augusta Restaurant; and lo, it consistently wins a Best of Augusta each year. It has REALLY crappy service. They will give you the check, and not show up for another 15 minutes, then take your card and return in 10 more minutes. Why not just cash out your customers quickly so you can clear up the table for more people? It's just as puzzling as "why not incentivize business and residence in what could be a highly cool downtown area, instead of leaving it relegated to drug dealers and drunks?" These are the mysteries of Augusta. The slices are large, and pizza is thin and not super memorable. Be prepared to wait a decent amount of time for your food: not the place for those shy conversationalists or obligatory final dinner before a breakup. As I am essentially a vegetarian, I cannot speak for the meatzza, but I can say that the treehugger is usually my go to pie when having a sit down meal. But nevermind all that, you silly goose! The real reason to go to pizza joint is singular: pizza lunch buffet, the best one in town. There, I said it. For something like $7.00 they grant you exclusive (not that exclusive) access to a heated line of pizzas and some iceberg lettuce with ranch dressing. You can just keep going back, a gastronomical nightmare yet the sin qua non of American Overconsumption. And I can't look away. Despite my positive family history of Coronary Artery Disease, and my father's close relationship with the Fuqua Heart Center and their great work, I will fill my gorde at Pizza Joint (either here or Evans) on most fridays. Don't try and meet me here though, as this is a solemn and dirty secret of mine, and I don't want your judging eyes counting my slices.

Pretty good, they have 3 locations, aiken, evans, augusta. The place downtown augusta is pretty dirty and gross, downtown can be just slightly skechy at night, so that is part of the reason for the 2 stars. Definitly avoid this place when it is crowded, because buisness slows down. overall, not bad, but not great

    (2)
  • J L.

A decent pizza. Service is extremely slow. Took over 60 minutes to get a 14" pizza, and the restaurant was not packed between 8:30pm and 9:30pm. Only go there if you aren't starving for food right away. College age crowd. Also, we got bit up by Mosquitos at night because they turned on some really bright lights up against the walls of the adjacent buildings.

  • Scott S.

The downtown location of this place has an old college feel. The pizza portions are generous, and the beer is cold. It is, and does, exactly what it suggests it is... nothing more, nothing less.

Pretty good calzones, and the pizza slices are huge here. They have pretty good wait staff also. My favorite thing about Pizza Joint is rolling in on a sunny afternoon to see all the dogs people bring with them to lunch, so they are dog friendly, obviously. Ok place to watch sports, but not quite a sports bar feel.

  • Yelpster P.

I kinda like the atmosphere of the place, and they have an amazing tap beer selection- which, honestly, is the ONLY reason I go to either this Pizza Joint or the one in Evans. Their service and their pizza leaves much to be desired. Also, not too long ago, a friend and I decided to try to get some nosh and beer around 9:30pm one weeknight... in Augusta. "Hey, the Pizza Joint is open until 10- let's go there!" We arrive at 9:45. We understood that they were about to close and didn't want to bother them and planned on ordering everything we wanted right away. You know what they told us? They stopped serving beer at 9:45! How convenient (for the server). Why would you stop serving beer fifteen minutes before closing when you close at 10? Does that fifteen minutes make that big of a difference when you're getting ready to close? Was that fifteen minutes really worth losing a sale- and hopefully with this review, more than one sale?

Oh yea, Pizza joint. How could I forget? After moving to ATL 2 years ago I have not been back to Pizza Joint. My memory was drowned out by Johnny's and Blue moon. One thing you find at Pizza Joint that you dont others is CHEAP food, and lots of it. You think the 99 cent menu at your fast food restaurants is bang for the buck, the huge slices of pizza here blow that away. There are at least 2 locations, one downtown (this one) and another one up in Evans that used to be a Fat Man's store. They totally revamped the one Evans and unfortunately I think took a little business away from their other location. Its saying a lot though when you are your own best competition in town. So this all sounds good right? Why 3 stars? Well thats based on this location. I enjoyed the Evans location much more based on the fact that it was closer, I could park within a mile of it, and it wasn't so loud that I couldn't have a conversation. The spot downtown is a "happening joint" with live bands on occasion, a great little garden area and a "front porch" seating area that is great to hang out on if you cant stand the noise inside. Without the excessively loud music and noisy atmosphere inside this would easily be 4 stars. The only reason it wouldn't be 5 stars is because of the fact that when you order by the slice, you largely get re-heated slices that are somewhat dried out. It is best if you go in a large group that can sustain an entire GIANT pizza. Overall, if you want to get together with friends and have a no-talking hang out session with your friends, or a screaming contest across a tiny table, this is a great place to go. If you want to have a conversation with a bit less effort, hit up the one in Evans. Either way you will be pleasantly surprised, especially if you are a "big 3" pizza chain frequenter.

This place right here, in comparison to other places located in and around Augusta that claim to serve pizza, beats them all hands down. Every single time I'm in here, I get the feeling that for just a minute, I'm back in southern Connecticut, watching the big unibrowed Greek guys spinning the dough while my dad and his friends down pitcher after pitcher of beer and debate which engine would make their Camaros run better. My most recent trip here was well above par for the course. After being greeted by a waiter around my age, we were served an ice cold pitcher of beer. After another 15 minutes, we got our food. The time in between the pitcher and the food was spent emptying the pitcher. I can't give this place five stars because the by-the-slice pieces of pie are sadly reheated pieces of cheese with toppings added. As far as beer and sitting with your friends to have a good night out, there simply isn't a better place to do it. As a starting point for a night out on Broad Street, this is a the top of Broad and is the best place to leave your car before your pub crawl begins.

My family of 4 came in sat down and NOONE approached us for 15 minutes, just as we begin to leave they come over to us. We place our order and no kidding 1 hour later we get our food at this point we are so mad. We only get 2 orders at our table and because we dont really know the Italian menus we really didnt know what we were given, but we let the kids eat it no matter whos it was. of course 30 minutes later we get the other 2 and guess what WRONG ORDER!!!! This place is rude and inconsiderate

When I visit my grandparents, my sister and I usually convince my mom to "sneak out" with us to go drink. This is the place we go. They serve cider in a pitcher, which is good, because my mom can drink it, and it's not too loud, so we can talk. I've had the pizza before too, and it's good. Service is prompt and friendly, as well.
