Very impressed! The General Tso's lunch special with ham fried rice was delicious. Though tossed in Gen Tso's sauce, the chicken remained hot and crispy throughout. No complaints here. The wings could be better. Much better. They're huge, but have a different (and in my opinion, weird) taste to them. I only ate 1 of six...just couldn't do it. The price was excellent - $11.07 for the small lunch special (a good portion for one person), six wings, and a tasty sweat tea (with free refills). If not for the wings, I would have given 5 Stars.

So I have been looking for a new Chinese place to enjoy since the ones most people use on Fort Gordon are pretty bad. Pros: On their website they advertise an hour delivery time (which I love that they put that out there in advance) but it only took 30 mins! Yay! The lo-mein was made with thinner noodles than what I am used to but they hooked it up by using big chunks of meat. The egg drop soup and spring rolls were great as well. Cons: the shrimp for my sweet and sour shrimp... OMG IT WAS BURNT! Literally dry and burnt. I was so disappointed I had to take a picture and share. Usually I would let little things slide since no restaurant is perfect but burnt food that they knew was burnt and they gave it to us anyway... Very disappointed. So I am going to call and see what they say about it. :-)

Really great food for really decent prices. I love the service that I get here. Staff are very friendly and they give you a very good amount of food for what you pay. It's my favorite Chinese food spot in Augusta.

Not too bad, but not the best. The food is usually hot when it's delivered but sometimes it's dry, most of the time it's alright though. I can't complain too much. They do have pretty quick delivery which is a plus.

I don't know what to say, Augusta. Dragon express came highly recommended and yet I find myself disappointed by some rudimentary mistakes. I can only assume this city doesn't know anything about taste, which they've proven time and time again. But I digress. To their credit, the driver was quick in delivering our food. He arrived with a large tray of food, which was far more than we had ordered. We ordered everything as a small, and everything came as a large. Strange. I went ahead and accepted anyway because I usually like having leftovers to eat throughout the week. The food itself was just subpar. Everything tasted of excess soy sauce and salt (most likely MSG or other flavoring). I have no negative opinion of using MSG, but over seasoning a dish is a problem. The texture of the orange chicken was just wrong. I've worked in Asian restaurants before. I may not be a great chef, but I can cook chinese better than this. We won't be back.

You would have better service at Wal-Mart, it took them almost ten minutes before they even notice, I was sitting there. The place has an old dinner feel to it. They give you alot of food for $7.50. The food was good, but I didn't care for the chicken wings. They taste like they have been refried a couple of times. My first experience was not the best, so don't be surprise on your first experience.

For a Chinese take out joint, this spot is prefect. If you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine this is not the place but if are looking for a laid back night with quick hot greasy Chinese take out, this is it. Portion sizes are more than enough and prices are affordable and average for take out. They cook your order fresh right in front of you and are fairly quick. My only complaint are the cashiers that are not Chinese. The lack manners, customer service, and professionalism. At least do your job and greet customers with a smile, don't be loud and obnoxious in front of the entire restaurant, and say thank you come again etc. it's shitty customer service that can harm a business. Despite that, if I'm craving for take out this is my go to spot.

The food is very good but I don't understand the delivery, my house is 5 minutes away and they deliver all over town even farther but not to my address.

Best express Chinese food in the area. I live outside their delivery area but I always do carry out from here. I have tried all the Chinese food near my house but I always go out of my way to get dragon express. I just have to try to remember they are closed on Wednesdays.

Dragon Express is like that awesome 3000 dollar car you buy to get you through the year; it's nothing fancy, it gets you where you need to on time, and best of all, it's reliable. They always quote one hour for delivery but they usually get to you much quicker; they also do charge a delivery fee if you order under 13 or so dollars, I believe. I've been ordering from Dragon Express for over a year and my usuals are: General Tso's Chicken, Extra Spicy Orange Beef, Extra Spicy Shrimp and Scallops Chicken Lo-Mein Hot and Sour Soup, Extra Spicy If you're ordering a combination, opt for the wings instead of the egg roll. PS: Their ham fried rice that comes with every combo meal pretty much beats out any other fried rice in this area.

Dragon express is "OK" if your in the mood for Chinese food. Having a lazy day here on Fort Gordon and decided to order delivery. They don't have a website so I was glad to find their menu on here. I ordered the General Tso Chicken and a small chicken fried rice. The food was good. They put it all in the same box, but it didn't bother me. There was a lot more chicken fried rice than I was expecting, which wasn't a bad thing at all. Overall it was good. I would order from them again.

Here is my attention grabbing first sentence that makes you read the following: The reason I started this way is because the negative aspects are the first that come to mind, but there were really some great words to be said. This is a review of the dine in experience. The Bad: the pork ribs... I didn't order it, my colleague did, but I did taste it, and it immediately had some sort of toxic weird taste (I'm guessing msg). I got the generals chicken and it was good, however it was a lot more tempura than chicken, which is almost expected from this dish, but other restaurants have a much higher chicken ratio which I like. The water also had the typical city water taste. The Good: the friendly staff! That lady there was really friendly and easy to get along with, although a bit chatty, friendliness is appreciated. The portion sizes were great! I definitely had a to go box. The chicken was good, and the sauce was good, despite the tempura abundance. We stayed in the hotel next door and the concierge recommended the lemon pepper chicken wings. My colleague got those and they were actual chicken wings! Not those dinky things you get at east coast wings, they were legit. And he appeared to like them! Unfortunately most reviews seem to have issues with the delivery service. As I am staying in the hotel next door, that aspect did not affect me. And it also is the reason I am writing such a detailed review, what else do you do in a hotel?! Overall, the food I enjoyed was delicious and I'm kind of disappointed I won't return here again to try another dish. I did almost drop the score to 3 based off of that pork alone though!

The hubby and I were in search of a good Chinese restaurant since moving to the Augusta area. One of his co-workers suggested that we try out Dragon Express. So we came here yesterday for lunch and ordered some food to-go. We ordered Mongolian beef, orange chicken, fried rice, wontons, sesame chicken, two egg rolls and white rice. The food was great, service was quick...we waited for about 10 minutes for our food and the staff seemed pretty polite. The restaurant itself seemed clean and it wasn't busy at all. The building looks like it might have been an old Waffle House. And I heard that they deliver to Fort Gordon so the next time we decide to order Chinese food, we'll try out their delivery service.

Back in Georgia again...where else would I get Chinese? To play it safe, I decided to order the same items that I reviewed last year. The hot and sour soup blew me out of the waters and was better than I remembered. It is kind of a fusion between hot and sour soup and egg drop soup with more vegetables than the typical soups you get at most restaurants. This is the hot and sour soup that will ruin all hot and sour soups for me whenever I am traveling. Mongolian beef is still good. Slices of tender beef and julienned onions in a sweet soy sauce is still highly recommended. They also offer a whopping portion sizes. This can be easily shared between 2-3 people.

So sad to write this. Been ordering the delivery for over a year and never had a problem. Food is always good. Tonight we ordered and one 1 out of the 3 meals were delivered. My husband called and all the manager said was she was sorry, and she wouldn't charge the delivery fee again for the rest of our food. We were waiting for an hour to begin with and they said it was going to take another 30 minutes to get our food. I called the manager back and had the worst experience. She acted like I was trying to get a free meal which was nit the case and I even said it several times. She asked what I wanted and I said how about a credit for next time (I didnt specify an amount) or take a little off the Bill. She kept saying over and over she didn't charge us the second delivery fee. Yeah I got that. Then repeatedly asked what I wanted and I repeated myself 3 times and she kept asking and saying she didn't know what I wanted. Then she went off about how my husband said he was fine with everything. Ok yeah you talked to my husband and then I called. You aren't talking to him anymore you are talking to me, and I made how I felt pretty plain to the delivery guy so it wasn't like it was a secret. I told her that I worked customer service for over 10 years in multiple fields and that the situation wasn't right and we needed to be compensated. She then tells me that I should be more understanding and that she can't make me order from them and it was my choice. I've never had such horrible customer service ever. Never have I been in a situation where they don't care for return business. I even requested to speak to her manager and she refused. She went off the phone, spoke I. Spanish for a few minutes and then came back on the line. I don't care how good your food is, if you treat your customers this way, you can keep it.

Dragon express is the best delivery Chinese food we've found in the area so far unfortunately they don't deliver to our area now. The sweet and sour pork is my favorite and I love the egg rolls my husbands go to is the general tso's. Very good for the price and they're always fast and friendly.

Although the wait staff was a bit awkward, you take into account that it is family run and the teenage boy taking our order had no previous training. Once the food came out (under 10 minute wait I might add) it was piping hot, tasty and more than my husband and I could eat. A great local eatery that deserves it's customers. Decorations/atmosphere is a 2/5 but the food comes so fast and tasty you don't mind.

Food is good as well as prices but delivery stinks. Thisbis the 2nd time we have ordered from there and it has taken them over an hour to get here and I live maybe 7 min away (I know I could go pick it up but I have kids so its a pain).

Hooray for late-night hotel delivery! They'd get three stars even if their food wasn't great--which it was. Ordered the curry chicken and hot and sour soup. Got the biggest container of curry chicken I've ever seen for just $7.50 (we couldn't possibly finish it) and they did make it spicy enough for us. The soup was egg drop when it arrived--but really good, regardless. Paired surprisingly well with Moet. Tee-hee.

Yummy!! The best Chinese fast food place next to a microtel hotel I've ever been to!!! Really!! Lo mein fresh to order, wait staff is excellent and super nice. My sister brought me here for a late night (9pm) bite. Actually this is the only place open that we could find after leaving the mall. This is a great place! My niece loves the lo mein and the Mongolian beef looked jamming. Every dish I saw them make was a foodies delight and the food tastes great. We ordered some fried chicken wings and all I could say was wow! Tastey fried goodness and flavorful. Prices are awesome for the amount of food that you get.... And it's alot of food. I definitely like this place and will be coming back before I leave Augusta. Truly a find.

Good standard fast Chinese. Ate a lot here during my long stay at the nearby Comfort Inn.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
