So sad how badly this place has gone downhill :((((. Floors- sticky and crumbs everywhere. Staff- all their first day? Food- I got the Balsamic Bleu salad- move the toppings over and all the lettuce was slimy and rotten. I took the salad back to the front and nicely showed them- no apologies were given, but they called their manager over (Denarus?) and he asked gruffly what was wrong- I showed him and he just waved his hand at me, assuming hat meant I was to receive a refund. Again, no apologies were given. There is no way this restaurant will remain open much longer- or at least pass any inspections. Sad :((((

So, I've patronized the competition for years. But since my eating habits have changed, I now prefer Atlanta Bread Company. They have way better vegetarian options. They have specific selections for vegetarians and I can't say the same for the others. It's much easier to order a meal without going through the trouble of having them discount it because you don't want the meat. I like the selection at Atlanta Bread Company. I like the setup. The wifi is FREE and fast. The staff is always nice and has great feedback when you ask about menu items. It is always crowded during lunch, but the crowd dies down after 2pm. The parking is adequate because it shares the lot with other businesses within the shopping center. They also have good desserts. Chocolate Chip Cookie is a must have. My only grip is the restroom only has two stalls, which is a problem during the lunch hour, but other than that I'll be a regular!

This is a good place to come for lunch, with some very tasty sandwiches, soups and bread. It's busy, though, so have patience in the line-ups. Service is adequate and consistent.

So much better than Panera! Bread is always fresh. Salads, sandwiches and soup are always good. Can't beat it for a chain soup and sandwich cafe.

I generally like Atlanta Bread Company, but this location left much to be desired. I had the half and half. I got the chicken noodle soup. The chicken was fatty ( gross) and the noodles were mushy. The only good thing about it was the broth. I also had the chicken salad which was ok. Really nothing to write home about. I was very disappointed, and next time I'll just go across the street to Panera.

Driving through Augusta on my way to Atlanta I pulled off the exit to grab some grub and every place we drove by was packed out; after all it was a Friday evening around 7PM. Then we saw the Atlanta Bread Company, which wasn't very crowded and we figured we could get a bite to eat; so we pulled in. I was a little excited since after living in Atlanta for over 10 years I never got the opportunity to try the Atlanta Bread Company; all the stores there had shut down before I had the chance. Well, here was one in Augusta and I didn't want to let the opportunity escape from my reach. The whole experience started to go downhill from the time we walked through the front door. The cashier greeted us, but didn't look too excited about taking care of us. Anyway we ordered 2 pick 2 menu items priced at $6.99 each; I was told there would be a $1.00 upgrade for getting my soup put in a loaf of bread. After ringing us up the total came out to around $27.00. I'm no mathematician, but $6.99 + $6.99 + $1.00 = $14.98 and add 2 drinks at around $2.00 each + a tax of maybe 10% (high); and you got a total of $20.88. So I was paying a little over $6 more than I should have, so I inquired as to why. The cashier told me that the soup my wife ordered cost extra because it was loaded baked potato soup; there was an extra cost for bacon and cheese. I was tired and didn't want to argue since I had already been on the road for 3 hours after a 9 hour workday, and just wanted to eat and get back on my way to Atlanta; so we paid and took our seats where we waited and waited (patiently) for our food to come out of the kitchen. Finally the food arrived and oh how disappointing it was. My loaf of soup was nothing more than stale bread soaked in what was supposed to be French onion soup; a nasty mess that tasted even worse than it looked. The 1/2 sandwich was mostly bread which was hard like hardtack with little meat; my wife's 1/2 sandwich had even less meat on it. The bread the soup was in and the bread on the sandwiches was so horrible; this place doesn't deserve to have "Bread Company" in its name. Overall, it was a horrible experience at the Atlanta Bread Company and I do not ever plan on gracing them with my presence again. No wonder there is not an Atlanta Bread Company in Atlanta!

Not too happy with this visit. Starting out I had to repeat everything to the cashier then she gave me a look I did not like. Didn't inform me of the upcharges which I was not aware of. I ordered the half and half and got the chili and spinach and artichoke sandwich. The chili was alright and the sandwich was tasty but really small. And what I really wanted was a bread bowl and didn't get one. I just didn't bother going through the effort.

The only reason this place did not get a 1 STAR from me, is because I didn't get food poisoning, as of yet. The turkey, egg white, and cheese was disgusting, microwaved, bread was hard, paper thin egg white, and the turkey sausage patty was thin and tasted like cardboard. My 21 month old daughter spit it out and said "Yucky dada". THANK GOD THEY WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO BE ACROSS THE STREET FROM A PANERA, so breakfast isn't a total lost!

I honestly like Panera Bread better. But the parking over there is a nightmare and so twice I've been forced to get my sandwich at ABC instead. It's fine. I'm pretty boring, I like ham and cheese on croissant- toasted. On my last visit they failed to give me any cheese and the toasted the croissant before adding the ham. Fail. I got chips with my meal, and I like kettle cooked chips but theirs just aren't that great. I ate one and was done. I think next time I'll park at ABC and risk walking across the road to eat at Panera.

I won't be returning to ABC. I thought I would give it a chance but I now realize why I frequent Panera and not this location directly across the street. I ordered the turkey, bacon & avocado sandwich and it was the most average sandwich I have ever had. I saved half for later because I wasn't that hungry and ended up throwing it away because it was gross. I'm not sure how you mess up that simple of a sandwich but I recommend you brave the crazy parking situation at Panera and get fresh food there.

Just waited 30 minutes for a soup to go! They care more about getting food to the customers eating in and not the customers who pay, then stand around waiting on there food! We do have places to be..... Hence the ordering to go!! Someone needs to train them on customer service, a paying customer is a paying customer! How long does it take to put pre-made soup a cup and a bag?

If you like Panera, you'll LOVE ABC. Seriously, I recommend them to everyone. Sandwiches are awesome. Good, fresh ingredients on amazing fresh bread. I particularly enjoy the Avocado Sandwich, I've been ordering this thing since at least 2003, possibly longer. I think it comes standard on the Tomato Focaccia bread now, which is really good, but I always prefer it on baguette or sourdough. This is a great location too, always good service and fresh ingredients. Have yet to have a bad experience at this place.

This place ruined me forever. I will never be content eating at the bigger chain across the street (coughPANERAcough) again. I actually miss this place now that I'm no longer in Georgia. Every sandwich, soup and salad I've had here has been perfect, though my fav is half the veg sandwich (yummy dill sauce) with fruit salad. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly enough for a chain.

Worst sandwich i've ever had was here. Go across the street to Panera

Don't go. So since Yelp won't allow my review to be 2 words per my preference and as a reflection of my sentiment, I'll just say how I feel blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, don't go.

Because I don't live anywhere near this side of town, when I do come over here for food I want to be satisfied. I have never not had a good and fast experience at ABC. I have eaten a lot of items off their menu and everything was great. The price isn't too bad, but it's much better than going to somewhere cheaper and getting far worse quality food.

Pretty good if you're looking for a quick meal that isn't fried. The baked potato soup was extremely bland but the Cuban sandwich was delicious. I still prefer panera across the street but really, they are one in the same.

I go here often. I love their salads, soups and sandwiches. They have a half and half option which I love. The last time I was there (yesterday), they had a dining room attendant cleaning up after people, which made me feel at ease. This place has decent bagels (I'm having bagel addiction's right now, so they have to be good). Clean, Friendly, Great Service.
