Worst dining experience ever!! I attribute the bad service and lack of management to pure ignorance. If the owner doesn't know how to run a restaurant he should be wise enough to hire someone to do it or at least attempt to learn. This restaurant has no systems from the front door, to the timing from the kitchen, to the hospitality given by servers. The owner/ manager allowed the server to publicly humiliate guests/ paying customers and was totally unaware as how to handle the situation. Our server greeted us by telling us to ignore the elaborate drink offering on the menu because, "They don't have any of that." Once we started ordering the server had to deny us our option because, "We don't make that anymore" or "We out of that." The menu was printed on paper. If the restaurant wasn't going to have something why not print a menu that represents what you offer? I have been in the restaurant business for over 14 years and one server should not wait on 16ppl. It doesn't work. Service is slow, the kitchen gets crashed, the server is stressed, and the guests suffer. Our server delivered over 20 plates without assistance. My Curry Chicken Kabobs were freezing cold and by the time I could tell the server, 20 minutes had passed. Because I know this review is used to sway the next consumer my advice would be to eat and drink somewhere else. Venue is a great place for ambiance and the band. But Atlanta has plenty of ambiance and the band also plays at Loca Luna.

This place is a good after work spot. Their food from the tapas menu is so yummy (coca cola ribs, fish tacos were YUM)and the drinks are good too (though I wish they had drink specials).... I like the bar area cuz it's really cute. I haven't been on a weekend night but I'm sure it's packed and just as good...

CLUSTERFCK!!! If you like to drink beer. This is your place. I mean after all if you want a decent drink, why would you go to a bar. This place will screw it up. If you dont like to eat. This restaurant is for you. I mean really. Who goes out to a fabulous looking restaurant and expects to eat within 2 hours of your order? Management is a joke. Staff tries hard but are set up for failure. Then the servers get pissed because they cannot remember who ordered what. Oh not to mention we made reservations and agreed on a menu. Only to get there and THEY changed the menu without telling us in advance. 6 months then it will be something else.

Ok so we went for dinner at 7pm on a Saturday night. The ambiance was beautiful! They had a live band that was good, the singer was just ok but the music was WAY too loud for a dinner crowd. They didn't have any of the wines on the wine list & the waiter said it was due to them being new and they haven't had the grand opening yet. The shrimp curry kabobs were served chilled, which made no sense. The steak bruchetta was soggy as if they didn't toast the bread at all. The sweet potato pie crust was also soggy. The best thing was the ribs & the shrimp and grits. They got 2 stars because I can see potential in this restaurant.

They changed their name to Vibe, but nothing has changed in the inside!! The fish tacos are delicious and collard greens are just ok! Overall this place has potential, but they need to work on their customer service. There was only about 7 people at the time me and my friends arrived and the waiters were not attentive. It took forever to get our drinks!! The bar tender had our drinks prepared and sitting at the end of the bar while our waiter was in the corner talking to other staff. When I told the bartender those were our drinks waiting there, he stated your waiter will be right over....huh???

My first experience with Venue was disappointing. Although located in the beautiful space previously occupied by French American Brasserie (FAB), the food and service left much to be desired. Venue offers a tapas menu which range $8-$10 each, entrees ranging $18-25 that come with two sides (mashed potatoes, collard greens, seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, sauteed spinach, broccoli, jalapeno cream corn, and yams), and desserts. For lunch, they offered a 2 for $20 special in which two diners get to each choose a sandwich (fish, turkey, chicken-grilled or fried, chicken salad, and venue which is beef) and a choice of salad or soup of the day (black bean or sun-dried tomato). Those that chose the black bean soup were satisfied, but I had the sun-dried tomato soup and was sorely disappointed. The consistency was thicker than spaghetti sauce from a jar and it basically tasted like it too. That's not soup... The server was nice but seemed completely new to the profession. After we ordered our food, the server returned approximately 15 minutes later to find out how each person wanted their proteins cooked. Although business was slow, it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. I ordered the chicken sandwich; the chicken was dry, the sandwich flavorless (had to ask for a side of aoili), and the bottom bun was soggy because they put the lettuce and tomato underneath the chicken. The fish sandwich is a nice large portion but was too salty. They have a good basic chicken salad sandwich, turkey, and venue burger. The grilled and blackened salmon entree was not cooked properly and the portion size was quite small. To make matters worse, the seasoned fries could have tasted good if they didn't cook it in the same oil that they deep fry the battered fish. Fishy french fries...not appetizing. However, the sweet potato waffle fries were pretty good; just a little sweet due to the added sugar. I would have loved to provide feedback to the management, but one of the managers walked by smiling and asking"Is everything good?" but kept walking...not waiting for our responses. Additionally, I felt bad for the server who had to refill our water glasses continuously because the glasses only hold about 6-8 ounces of water.

My experience at this place was enough to bring me out of yelp review retirement. Where to begin? Where to begin? We (two guests) arrived at 5:30 to an empty restaurant with several staff members running around. We were seated and given menus. Our server was extremely personable however had to notify us that none of the signature drinks on the printed menu were available. What? Apparently they are already under new management and several items on the printed menu aren't in stock. Um ok. So after working to create a new drink (Jazzy Razz -raspberry vodka, simple syrup, lime and raspberry liquor) with the waiter and bartender it was delivered to the table and was ah-mazing! A nice high note to the evening. It's now about 6 pm and we're ready to order food. After checking out the tapas menu I decided I'd try either the crab cake sliders or firecracker shrimp rolls. Well that didn't happen. Our server quickly informed us that the crab cakes weren't available since they didn't have all the ingredients in stock. A supply run was supposedly in process. The server was then called away from our table to an impromptu staff meeting in the middle of the restaurant floor. After returning to our table we were informed that not only were they out of crab they added ribs, Coca-cola and something else to the list. Honestly I blanked out after Coke. We are in Atlanta and less than 1 mile away from Coca Cola Headquarters and less than 1/2 mile from the World of Coke never mind the Publix grocery store also a mile away. The reason given for being out of so much was they had a busy weekend and ran out of items....it's now Wednesday. Did anyone not check the fridge before you opened? All I could think about was Smokey from "Friday" 'Damn. Y'all ain't never got two things that match. Either y'all got Kool-aid, no sugar. Peanut butter, no jelly. Ham, no burger. Daaamn.' At this point another friend joined us and we told her to just ignore the menu. I decided to order the shrimp and grits and my friends ordered the fish tacos. About 15-20 minutes later the fish tacos arrived and my dish was no where to be found. The guy delivering the food looked as if my order was news to him and then advised it was "coming out". Maybe 10 minutes and still no shrimp and grits. Finally over 15 minutes later and my dish arrived. Of I forgot to mention we were three out of four customers in the place. A little while later the owner comes by to apologize to us about their lack of well, everything. Then he hit us with the news that were also out of takeout containers. Ok here is my issue with that. My Mama has kept restaurant takeout containers at my family home since 1989. I'm not talking reused recycled ones I mean we always kept a stock of those things for family gatherings or a pop up visitor that we sent them home with food. Now if we've had these things at my house please tell me how in the entire hell does a restaurant not have them? Ok takeout container rant over. The owner then offers us 20% off our next visit. Um..sir, there won't be a next. Because of the drink, the server and the fact the delayed dish was actually quite tasty earned them 2 stars. However, I won't be returning.

Went to Venue/Vibe on a Saturday night just because and it appeared that everyone there was for a birthday party. All of the seating was for a birthday party or bottle service. So unless u want to pay $200 to sit down you were standing. The DJ was whack. The drinks were overpriced. You have to pay to park. And I think u have to pay to get in after a certain hour. It quickly adds up to be a mediocre expensive night out. The birthday people seemed to have been enjoying themselves. Maybe it's a great place for bday's but not just a typical Saturday night ou.

Is that my server at the host stand on his phone??? It is, what awful service!! My girlfriend and I arrived at 9:45 for a birthday get together. Five minutes after getting seated our server finally comes around and asks us if we want to order. But wait! This place is supposed to be open until 11! Then he tells us has to check to see if the kitchen is still open. More than 10 minutes later *conveniently after 10* he comes back and tells us indeed the kitchen is closed. Then he leaves without taking our drink orders. Another 10 minutes pass before he comes back and asks us do we want to order. This was only after getting another table's order AND clearing a dirty table next to us. Annoyed I tell him no. I figure I can just walk up to the not-busy bar and get my own cocktail. I stood there close to 10 minutes and neither bartender bothered to acknowledge my presence. No "Hi, I'll be right with you", nothing. At least the barback was nice enough to offer me water. Needless to say, I never got served. This is what has prompted me to write this review. I cannot give my money to an establishment that doesn't want or deserve it. I was ready to drink and spend money but the service has completely turned me off. We should've taken the advice of some patrons who were leaving as we walked in - they said we shouldn't waste our time and I'm mad I did! The music and decor were the best things this place has to offer. If I can offer some advice-don't waste your time! There are many nicer options in Atlanta!

This was my second time dining here for lunch. I work right across the street and was excited to see a full service restaurant moving in since the location had been vacant for a while. The restaurant is very spacious, beautiful decor, and nice atmosphere. My first visit was right after they opened with a group of 12 and we ordered from a special menu, two meals for $20. The food was good, but when a couple of people asked for additional sauce that was on their food, the Server came with a message from the Cook saying there was no more sauce and he provided mayo as a substitute. Needless to say we were shocked. We were the only ones in the restaurant and had to ask for our check several times. Due to the limited restaurants in the area we decided to give them another chance, but they were closed and then a friend caught them open and then they were closed again and then this week back open. Again we were the only ones in the restaurant, but during our meal another couple came in. We were provided the "tappas" menu to order from and after a run down of what they didn't have, I had the wings, it came with six for $10 and my friend ordered chicken and waffles, it came with two chicken tenders and ONE square from a normal waffle for $10. Service was good and we asked the Server what was going on with the place, she stated ownership changes and things were being re-vamped to change to more regular hours and update the menu. We offered some suggestions and told her we would give them another try if they have more consistent hours and a better lunch menu (we suggested they try the special menu they offered when they initially opened and to do some advertising by standing out front and passing out menus to let people know they were open and what they offer).

It is super huge spacing! Drinks are amazing! Hard to get drinks after a while though because so many people crowd it! It sucks it only has 1 bathroom though. New Years was super packed over the maximum occupancy. Other than that , there's nice music, great crowd to mingle, I'd definitely go back.

If I could rate it a negative 1 star I would. This place is horrible, I was there for a private event at $40 a head for a Kappa Valentine masquerade event on 2/14/14. I can't explain how nasty the food was and how inferior the cut of meat was that was served, my boyfriend steak was not fit for a dog to eat. They didn't have 80% of what was on the menu for us to select from. I know we had a snow storm earlier that week, but this was just absolutely absurd. I 'will never go there again and support this business, the owner was crocky and full of excuses as to why the staff and food was so bad, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. This ain't the first time either because a lady at my table said the AKA's had a event there a few months before and it was the same way.

I have been to Venue 3 times. The first time was for a holiday event late last year. The bar was not ready when the event started and there was a lot of confusion among the staff. The second time was on a Friday or Saturday night. The vibe was good. The bar was crowded but was able to order drinks quickly. The last time was this past Saturday night for a birthday party in the room on the middle level. The two ladies at the hostess stand when I came in were helpful. There was a live band performing on the main floor. The area for the "private" party was between the door from the parking deck and the main stairs leading to all the floors. I find it strange they allow this area to be reserved. It was hot in this area even though we asked for the ac to be adjusted. After about a hour we could no longer here the music they agreed to play in our specific area. Not sure why they turned it down. Finally, the server sucked!!! He got orders wrong. He was slow. He did not know about the drink of the night, he told us martinis were made with Tequila! The food that I have tasted was decent to good. The menu we were given this past Saturday was smaller than the menu I previously saw. Overall, I would give this place another try. I am not sure if they are working out kinks or just can't get it right.

I was at the Venue last night and it was a mess ! My server Clyde was the only highlight of my night. He gave great service with what he was given to work with. The kitchen and bar was out of everything I wanted to order. And then I watched Clyde be attacked by the women at the table next to me which caused a scene and it was a very uncomfortable experience. The staff besides Clyde was a mess and all over the place and the kitchen was slow and all the food came out at different times. It was a horrible experience. The patrons and the staff besides Clyde were all hood and I was very displeased with the whole night! I will never visit this establishment again! And I don't recommend anyone waste their money or time there either.

Lovely place. Great atmosphere. I went there for a meeting for the Black Billionaires Club. ( a 30 plus group) I got there at 6:15 and was one of the first three people to arrive. Great parking. Only $5.00. I went in and went to the hostess's stand to ask about the meeting group. She was chatting away with some of the servers and did not know what I was talking about. Dumb as a rock. If you are having 30 people there meeting and willing to spend money at your lounge you should know who and where they are suppose to be. So I walked around asking and finally found 2 people in my group. After 30 minutes there and no staff approached us for drinks, food orders etc... I went and asked could they send a server over for orders. HEY do you guys want to make money or what??? Finally a guy comes over. The food was good. I ordered wings and some people ordered other tapas. No Food or drink complaints. The meeting was moved upstairs to a private room. Very lovely, full bar and big screen TV. After 15 mins upstairs I went downstairs to hear the jazz band play with a friend. WE ordered more drinks and tapas. No complaints. The band is good but LOUD. There is no sense in amplifying the music in that small space downstairs. You had to shout in order to hear the other person talk. Not sure if this place will last. It has been several different cafes before.

Not a great experience here - especially for my first visit. Our server was friendly and I knew she was trying her best, but we had to wait over an hour for our order after two previous orders were placed that they cancelled because they didn't have the necessary ingredients! The bar manager was just down right snippy and rude and everyone noticed. I definitely won't be returning.

Ate here for dinner the other night. I had the ribs, which were delicious and filling. My date had the southwestern salad, which was also really good and large. We split the shrimp and grits, which again were delicious and really more then we needed. Wine by the glass was affordable and the whole meal was reasonably priced. I'm glad to have another dining choice in the neighborhood where we can get a burger or decent meal for 10-15$ and drinks at a reasonable price. Service was fine, as expected. I guess some of the stuff on the menu is tapas style, but in my opinion most items are meals on their own.

Had a wonder experience. The Food is amazing and the Ambiance is Beautiful. The server was awesome. I ordered the Steak and Lobster and my Steak was cooked perfectly and the Lobster had an great buttery, sweet taste to it. The drinks were very good. Will most definitely come back.
