Great BBQ around the corner of the Georgia World Congress Center. I had the pulled cheshire pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich was pretty good! It wasn't fatty at all and the bun was nicely toasted. They have about 6 different sauces to choose from at each table. My favorite was the Spicy sauce...it has just the right amount of kick. My BF and friends preferred the Sweet and Spicy sauce. They were all delicious in their own way. We also shared the banana pudding. Wow...that was amazing! If you're at the Georgia World Congress Center for a conference I recommend try this place and skipping the fast food in the area. It won't disappoint.

The food is good .. But can be better ... Mac and cheese had a mix of extra stuff in it which I don't like .. Cole slaw was good and the sweet potato casserole was delicious... No wait staff so for everything if you want extra you have to go get and pay each time .

This is how I imagine southern BBQ to be, dripping sweet melt in your mouth smokey meat. A perfect end to our trip or when visiting Coca-cola World or NASCAR. Literally right around the corner. Simple choices with a side, even the kids liked it!

Took two visits before we made it early enough to actually get barbeque and even then they were out of brisket. I understand controlling food costs, but closing shop when you have paying customers outside seems like bad business. I did enjoy the pulled pork. It was tender and juicy. Ribs could have been a bit more tender and why in the world would you put green chiles in Macaroni and Cheese? I think they are trying to separate themselves from every other restaurant that has M&C, but come on! Don't mess with a classic - especially if you are a BBQ joint.

Coming from a place that doesn't do good BBQ. Twin smokers is a oasis of brisket and amazing sauces. Match that with a staff that is friendly and outgoing. This place is a must stop for great food and great bourbon. Also try the wing!! They were a surprise that made me smile from ear to ear. Came back again! Went pork crazy! I can't be happier. The only downside to twin smokers is that eventually I will have to leave this meat heaven. Once I get back to my hotel I will take a Xanax to get over this beautiful meat induced separation anxiety.

Perfect pulled pork in my opinion. Tender, smoky, moist and a great char. Also had the collards and pickled beets. I typically have to salt and pepper my food, and use pickled pepper sauce on collards. I did not use a single condiment, grain of salt, flake of pepper or drop of pickled pepper sauce on any my food. Nothing needed it. I am already anticipating many visits prior to sporting events as the seating options are super as well very inviting decor and staff was extremely accommodating.

I couldn't hit the South without having some fine BBQ and BBQ in the Atlanta city limits might not get better than this. Famished from a long morning of travel and just in from Hartsfield-Jackson, the five of us strolled into Twin Smokers around lunch time. As soon as you enter, you'll see the day's available offerings and walls stacked with logs of hickory and other hardwoods fed to the namesake two smokers in the rear of the room. Place your order at the counter, grab a basket of fresh made pork rinds, head to your seat, and wait for incredibly flavourful, succulent barbecued meats to appear. The five of us split the 'Pride and Joy': a heaping family sized platter of pulled pork, brisket, ribs, hot links, bread, pickles, and a choice of three sides (we went with mac & cheese, collards, and coleslaw). Man, oh man. Each of the meats was cooked to smoky perfection, with the brisket and pulled pork meltingly tender, the ribs coasted with an assertive dry rub, and the sausages packing a peppery kick. The sides were solid, if not mind-blowing: the mac was creamy, the slaw crisp and the greens tender with just enough smoky flavour. Adding to the experience was the dozen or so BBQ sauces at the table, ranging from NC vinegar to SC mustard sauce, sweet KC, spicy Texas, and even a simple chili-infused vinegar. If I make my way back down to ATL, Twin Smokers is a destination.

Our one day in the city we wanted some bbq. After reading the good reviews decided to give it a shot. I had the brisket, pulled pork and sausage with pinto beans and mac & cheese. I loved the meats the sides not to much. The beans where cold and had to much what i think was vinegar the mac was ok. There is no table service you order pay and sit down. So if you need another drink you must get back in line and pay for it to bring back to the table.

I'm always apprehensive of restaurants opening in touristy parts of town, however this place delivers some quality BBQ and has a solid bar program going on for itself. I think most people have an idea in their mind that good BBQ can only come from some "Road House-esque" establishment. I'd beg to differ. My gf's pulled chicken was moist and full of smoky goodness. Complimented by the assortment of sauces to cater to any palate, you'll be satisfied with your meal. Her potato salad was nicely dressing and not chock full of mayo to enhance flavor. It was well balanced. I ordered the smoke sausage for the first time at any BBQ joint, and I loved my meal. It went well with the mustard BBQ sauce, and didn't have a boiled taste to it. It had a nice spice and snap to it with no chewiness, and was made from quality cuts. My beet salad was great too. Nice pickled brininess too it without being overwhelming. What amazed my the most is that you could get a great meal with booze and not leave broke. It's not often you find high quality food in a touristy part of town that still offers a great value. Great place to stop by before heading to a game or event in the area.

Twin Smokers BBQ provided some of the best barbeque I've had anywhere. Though the establishment's name refers to its pair of wood-fired smokers, it could just as easily allude to the two styles - Texas and Southern - served here. The environment is appropriately rustic, and the lengths of hickory and mesquite stacked along the walls add a nice touch of authenticity. If you aren't already hungry walking in the door, one whiff of the aroma here will change that promptly. Our group opted for a Pride and Joy, a $75 combo platter that feeds for to six. The quantities were generous, and the food did not disappoint. The ribs were smoky, the pulled pork succulent, the sausage nicely spiced, the mac n cheese creamy, and the collards well-seasoned. The free homemade pork rinds will make converts out of skeptics, and the assortment of half a dozen sauces (from sweet to spicy to vinegary) means you will find at least one to your liking. Twin Smokers may not have the cachet of a legendary BBQ joint, but give it time. The food is all-around excellent.

1st thing - I ordered brisket. Guess what? They are all out. The suggested burnt ends...JACKPOT!!! This is all I will order forever and ever, Amen! They have a ton of different sauces. The mac and cheese was creamy. The coleslaw was good. I even loved the little slices of pickles placed in my plate. My hubby loved the beef ribs (think Fred Flintstone on the grill!) It was huge. The smoked wings were moist and flavorful. I will definitely be back...but they'd BETTER have some burnt ends when I get there.

The pulled pork was my favorite item here as I could literally have the taste of the smoke in my mouth for hours after eating it. Staff was friendly and inviting to an outsider like myself who came in seeking some good food and some shelter from the flash rains of the Southeastern US. They have a few beers on tap and a lot of bourbon whiskey on their displays but since it was lunch time, I ventured to get one good beer and then off I went to my next destination. I did enjoy the decor immensely with the large stacked chopped wood display as well as seeing the aptly named twin smokers children. I got the banana custard as a dessert for later after my meal and it was surprisingly good. It's a nice sweet ending for such a hearty meal.

Very good BBQ and good prices, surprisingly, for being right near the Georgia Aquarium. The staff is super friendly and laid back too. We got an assortment of brisket, sausage, and pulled pork. The pork and brisket both had good smoke flavor and a solid but tender texture to them. They have a wide variety of sauces too so you can pick your favorite. The sausage was especially interesting...I think there was subtle but strong undertone of anise as the mystery ingredient (it's not bad/overpowering, you'll only notice if you look for it). Definitely worth a stop...especially post aquarium.

Good BBQ and a decent selection of beers. We walked in and was promptly greeted by the staff and the smell of BBQ. I think that was a good start! We had the half a rack of ribs and briskets and both are recommended. I also got myself a local IPA from Sweet Water. Wish I had more room for the beer bucket so I can try a few others. I do see Harpoon UFO, but in can.

(4.50 stars) Incomparably moist and succulent barbeque which shows a genuine respect for, and appreciation of, the various geographies of the barbeque "map." Twin Smokers may very well be among the best urban barbeque I've ever eaten. Using indoor smokers, beef is smoked over mesquite and post oak in the Texas style, while Southern-style pork, chicken and ribs bask over hickory and white oak; all overnight. Eight regional varieties of house made sauce are on each table, and they are every bit as good as the meats which they grace. Arriving diners are given complimentary baskets of homemade pork rinds, fresh and lightly seasoned with cayenne. Service is fast, friendly and very accommodating-- it is clear that they are enthusiastic about their product, and should be. Our table of five shared the "Pride And Joy" platter; easily five pounds of pulled pork, brisket, full sausage links, and pork ribs. Accompanying this feast was mac 'n' cheese, collards and coleslaw. The only demerits were minor, and reserved for a somewhat dense rendition of mac 'n' cheese; everything else was as good as it gets. The pork ribs were a particular favorite, as their smoking rode that narrow line between "enough" and "too much." Moist, flavorful and with enough "give" to evidence that they were neither steamed nor parboiled like the ubiquitous "fall off the bone" abominations of lazy 'pit masters', these were perfection. The brisket was about as juicy as any I've ever eaten, yet richly smoked. A mountain of tender pulled pork was loaded with flavorful outer "bark." The sausage was an uncommonly good premium local brand, and the collards were tender and nicely flavored. This was our first meal together in Atlanta, after traveling since before sunrise, and seemed to be one of the meals that everyone referenced throughout the week. Twin Smokers BBQ may not merit another trip to Atlanta for the sole purpose of eating here again, but is darn close!

Great food and great service!!! What else can you ask for?? Sauces were great but didn't really need them cuz the meats had a lot of favor without it. They also have the best sides!!! Slaw n collard greens were the best I'd ever had!

I really enjoyed lunch at Twin Smokers! I hadn't even heard of this place before today, but noticed it as we were driving by and we were headed towards another bbq place, so we decided to stop in. Happy to park in the garage across the street, knowing we would get our parking validated. When you walk in, you order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. As I watched the guys making plates of food, I pretty much knew I was going to be happy with whatever I ordered. The food looked delicious! I ordered the pulled pork platter with macaroni and cheese and potato salad. The pulled pork was fantastic. Smokey, juicy and a good sized portion. I honestly could have eaten it without any sauce, but I did add some of the sweet and smokey bbq sauce to about half. The macaroni and cheese (although I think it was actually penne) was good. Very creamy and I think it had a hint of jalepeno in it. It wasn'y MY macaroni and cheese, but for a restaurant I was happy. The potato salad was also good. Again, not what I am used to making, but unique and good. It had red potatoes and grape tomatoes. A little salt and pepper and I was good to go. There was a full bar, but I did not partake. I can see coming back though for a few drinks and a belly full of swine. Service was pretty much non-existent as they leave you alone after they bring you your food. I'm okay with that. Oh, it's a little pricey. Lunch for two without drinks was $27.

We were in luck tonight it was a Greet and Meet (the farmers) so the special was the Farmers Plate (see photos). Both the brisket and the pulled pork was tender, flavorful and delicious. I know because usually I leave a little bit for a midnite snack or next day lunch. But alas I ate it all and was satisfied. The staff was friendly and helpful and we meet one of their pig farmers that provided the succulent pulled pork. Also this place provides you with 5 different BBQ sauces to try. I recommend the sweet and spicey mixed with the spicey. But they also have mustard, vinegar and mild. The is a nice spacious place good for kids too. No smoking allowed by the way. Ginger one of the managers mentioned that this place has been open for only 5 months but it's got a great location. By the way PARK ACROSS THE RESTAURANT BECAUSE THEY DO VALIDATE. Which is great since I don't like paying for parking but I will be back.

While walking around downtown Atlanta scoping a place for dinner, we were lured across the street by an aroma that you could not ignore. We were greater by a very nice hostess. They give you a menu and have you place your order with a cashier; who was equally friendly and knowledgable about their menu. They ran out of pork ribs, you have to get here early. We decided on the pulled pork, collard greens, sweet potato casserole, pinto beans, mac n cheese, and coleslaw. My son is a very picky eater and he inhaled the food. I couldn't stop eating, I was a little annoyed that I wore my spanx!!! Their BBQ expert came to the table and asked how everything was. He explained their process of smoking meat. The pulled pork is slowly smoked for 15 hours. You can taste the flavoring in every bite. We will definitely return when we come to Atlanta again. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and sensational food make this place a must visit if you're ever in downtown Atlanta

Definitely one of the top BBQ places I have eaten at. The pork ribs were excellent and so was the side of mac and cheese. I'll definitely be back

The husband and I were in town for a race. We were walking around having just left the World of Cocoa Cola and wanted something to eat. We saw 2 restaurants and decided on Twin Smokers. We walked in and we were greeted by a nice hostess. Like other reviews have said, the customer service here is amazing. Everybody was very nice and courteous. She explained to us how to order and our options. So off we went, The husband got the pulled pork plate with mac n cheese & potato salad. I got the brisket plate with mac n cheese, chili and decided to splurge and got a side of potato salad b/c it looked so good on the line. And OMG it was! It was a bit different b/c it has cherry tomatoes in it, but it was delicious non the less. My brisket was so tender and you could taste the smokiness of it and the wood it was seasoned over. I like how it tells you which wood each meat was seasoned over on the menu. Prices are on the higher end and they have a full bar. All-in-all an excellent experience!

Me and my friends have been eager to try Twin Smokers and tonight was the night! They had a VIP taste testing this evening, but officially opens her doors on December 27th, 2014! *I must note an awesome perk: 3 FREE hour parking after validation in parking garage across the street from Twin Smokers on Marietta St. This is a great perk since there isn't much free parking in the area! Anyways, my little group walks into Twin Smokers and we're greeted by a charming host who hands us our menus and instructs us to order at the counter when we are ready. You order, grab your number and sit down at a table of your choice. It has such a warm, fun and home-country BBQ feel. What really caught my eye were the stacks of different types of wood that are labeled and placed in one corner of the restaurant. And the infamous "Twin Smokers" are located in the back of the restaurant. Two big, red beauties. Both working hard for their guests! It brings an authentic and unique feel to the place! The menu offers your basic BBQ. Smoked chicken, shredded pork, beef brisket, beef and pork ribs. All these meat options come in so many different combinations. Like I chose the 1/2 Smoked Chicken and two sides. But, there's other options like choosing two or even three meats and then you can choose multiple sides. They also offer the traditional sides, BUT there's a little twist! For example, the cole slaw has cilantro! The potato salad has fresh tomatoes! Everything tastes fresh! And everything can be ordered by a 1/2 pint, pint, quart. They also offer and boast themselves on having a great selection of bourbon, whisky and moonshine! And their beer selection ain't too shabby either! The bar is rocking! For those of you with a mean sweet tooth, they offer many different desserts like Bourbon Pecan Pie and Banana Pudding. As well as, two different kinds of milkshakes. One that's spiked! And one that's not! Since tonight was a test run and we got our entire meal for free :D , we didn't wan't to abuse their hospitality so we only tried one of their desserts, but the urge to try them all...haha I enjoyed my meal, but I like my food well-seasoned and with a kick. I felt like my sides were a tad bland and needed something special. And my chicken skin was a little too rubbery. But, the one thing that I did try that I really loved and so did the person who got it ...Yes, I was eating off his plate....was the brisket! So damn flavorful and tender! It was bonkers! When I go back, I will be ordering that brisket! If you know me, I'm a sucker for a nice selection of house made BBQ sauces. And you got it here! They have a big rack of about a 1/2 dozen BBQ sauces that are based on famous sauces around the country. Most of the sauces, were pretty stereotypical. Nothing really stuck out for me. But, they were good. Twin Smokers is a kid friendly atmosphere. Well equipped with high chairs and booster seats. But, when I asked if they would be introducing any children's options on the menu, I was told that it might be a possibility in the future, but not definitely. I don't quite understand that. It's not hard to incorporate a smaller portions option for kids. Last, but certainly not least, FANTASTIC customer service! So nice and friendly. The perfect encapsulation of southern hospitality! Excited to go back and see whats new :)

Very great atmosphere. We just had beers at the bar rail but all of the food that came out looked (and smelled) fantastic! Our bartender was very knowledgeable about all of the local brews, which added to the experience. We are already planning our next trip back to try the food.

Very disappointed in this Southern Bbq. Pulled pork and pulled chicken...very little to almost no smoke flavor. Mac n cheese although good was pasta swimming in cheese sauce. The pinto beans would have been great without the cilantro. The cilantro over powers everything it's put with. The potato salad was good but like none I have ever had. Potatoes, grape tomatoes, and corn, corn? It did like it it was just weird. Even the bbq sauces on the table were very much alike in taste and texture. Really really expected WOW flavor. It did not deliver.

Good BBQ for downtown Atlanta. Mac & cheese is different but really good. We had brisket, pork, wings, chicken good, but out of ribs & sausage.

For openers, if you believe the best barbecue is usually found in the worse part of town, in a place with bars on the windows and just enough grease on the table to write your initials - then this isn't it. On the other hand, if you believe it's possible to find good 'cue near several of the biggest tourist attractions the city has to offer, then Twin Smokers BBQ may be just what you're hunting despite the fact that the folks there really didn't have to have good 'cue to bring in the business because most everyone from World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium and the World Congress Center are likely one time visitors and not likely repeat customers. Fortunately, the smoker people didn't want to settle for just "good enough." First, let's get the obvious question out of the way: there really are twin smokers (big ones), and they're named (yes, named) Elizabeth and Matthew (as best I remember). Who are Elizabeth and Mathew? They are, in addition to being smokers, are also the owner's twin children. What do they do (the smokers, not the kids)? Turn out some very good barbecue that, with a little fine tuning could be even better. Twin Smokers is a fairly large place, spotless (so much for grease on the table), with a good portion of one wall stacked to near ceiling with the wood they use in the smokers: One burns only hickory and oak and churns out the chicken and pork (ribs and pulled), the other smokes only oak (I basically post oak- a Texas staple not easily found in these parts) and does brisket duty. They also have mesquite, which is regarded as a weed in Texas. I'm nto sure what they do with it. Order at the counter, take a number and they'll bring it to you table, to your seat at the bar or bench (your choice, depending upon when you arrive). The woman at the cash register taking orders (and money) was personable and friendly, suggesting the more popular sides and how we could get a combination of all they offer in that they don't have a combination plate or platter (why not?). The young woman delivering the food was more matter of fact when she brought it out and then again when she cleared - never once stopping by asking if we'd like a drink refill. Why not? TS BBQ is not a cheap lunch - a little service would have been appreciated. In-between Mr. Twin Smokers, or at least the man who keeps things stoked, stopped by to check on how we were enjoying things. Turns out his name was Mathew Hall and Mathew Hall is a great goodwill ambassador for TS BBQ, answering a lot of questions with good information about how they do things at this Texas style addition to the local barbecue scene. Bottom line, the ribs and pulled park outpaced the brisket by a length and a half. The pork was moist, had a great smoke flavor without being overwhelming and ribs had a nice bark (char) as the result of a good rub and had obviously soaked up the best oak and hickory Mathew or Elizabeth had to offer. The brisket needed another hour or two in the smoker, less fat trimmed away (with the fat goes thee moisture and flavor) and probably sliced just a tad thinner. Not quite shoe leather tough, but certainly no threat to Righteous Barbecue's world class brisket. We tried a couple sides: the potato salad had good sized chunks of thee obvious, and then something that wasn't very obvious, tiny tomatoes. It was good, the slaw not so much; nothing that made it stand out either by taste or ingredient. In fact, of all the slaws to be found in a city with maybe two dozen good barbecue joints, only 'Cue with their Pittsburgh slaw really has anything unique to offer in that category. Understand their collards are very good. They have five sauces: Kansas City (described as spicy and sweet), Memphis ((sweet and tangy and the Brown Shoe Gourmet's choice), North Carolina (vinegar), South Carolina (mustard) and their Twin Smoker special which was OK, but not too special. And when you place your order, make sure to grab a small tray of their pork rinds - every bit as good as Pig n Chik, the heretofore leader in that category. Smoky, spiced and the perfect with a class of sweet tea. For someone who has spent a life time in pursuit of the perfect barbecue, this isn't it. Close, good with a lot going for it, in the upper echelon of Atlanta barbecue ( check my 74 other reviews) but not quite on the small circle of local places that do it all well every time. That said, Twin Smokers BBQ is worth the drive and a great addition to the local barbecue scene. We'll be back. And by the way, park in the garage across the street and they'll validate.

Friendly place, awesome BBQ. We stopped in here while biking downtown Atlanta and were thrilled with the combo plate and sides. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food, and everything was delicious. Love the variety of BBQ sauces at the table- I think we got the best results by mixing some of them together. Service was fast and friendly even though this is an 'order at the counter' kind of place.

Ridiculously succulent BBQ!!! Pulled pork perfection. Collards perfectly cooked & seasoned with just right vinegar to spicy ratio. Was very crowded & service was expedient & exceptional. So many incredible condiments!!!! Sweet & Southern sauce was my fave followed by vinegar spiked with hot peppers.

Great BBQ!!! It doesn't get any more authentic than this. Great brisket, ribs, and sides. I wish I could of ordered one of everything on the menu. You walk up and order. Self serve drinks, and food is delivered to your table. Great friendly atmosphere. When in town again I will be revisiting this awesome place of goodness. Lol!! Good stuff!! Nuff said!

Before even walking in, I said to my boyfriend... "this restaurant looks like a tourist trap" and I was sadly right. Located right in the heart of downtown Atlanta near the coca cola museum and the Georgia Aquarium sits Twin Smokers BBQ. I expected a more down home BBQ feel when I saw the word smoker in the restaurant name, however Twin Smokers gave me more of a chain restaurant feel. They have you order up front with the cashier, and then within 5-10 mins your food is delivered. The price/portion ratio didn't cut it for me as I left the restaurant still hungry. Also weary on their idea of pulled chicken. Once my order arrived, there was literally a small piece of broiled chicken on my plate ( nothing pulled about it) Overall BBQ had a decent flavor to it, and they have tons of sauces to choose from if you don't want to go the au' natural route. The house made pork rinds you receive pre meal was probably the best thing I had there. Probably would not return.

  • Robert S.

Complimentary baskets of pork rinds. I know those aren't for everyone, but personally, I would go back just for those smoky, slightly spicy, melt in your mouth bites. The barbecue and sauces are also really solid. I tried the brisket and pulled pork which were great, and the collard greens were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The coleslaw was different...Not my favorite. For a group, you can also get a mixed bucket of beer at a bargain.

Great environment and I love the fact that they have the wood on display for the smokers from Hickory to White Oak, it gives the meat so much flavor! My top choice and recommendation is the brisket, it melts in your mouth. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the side choices, it could have been better. The Mac & Cheese and Chilli were ok.

Walked here after going to the Georgia Aquarium because of the great Yelp reviews and we loved it! I was a little nervous of the cafeteria-style ordering process when we walked in, but the quality of food was out of this world! They had the most moist (I know, I hate that word, too) chicken I have ever tasted! The brisket was also great. The highlight of my meal was the Mac and Cheese. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

A blessing in disguise =) so this is what happens when you have limited time and arrive on a Sunday brunch. Limited restaurant options, time slots, and lunch service. Awesome sauces, great potato salad and mac & cheese. And the beef rib, always my achilles heel. Did i mention they have moonshines for shots/sipping; being the tourist that i am i just thought this was the cocktail on mason jars (i guess i didn't pay any attention lol). Good thing they have 40 proof. This place is pretty good for a fast food type for a BBQ place and has a better ambiance than Chipotle. I'm glad i decided to have my late lunch here.

Food was fantastic, but the way you order and sit is a little back a$$. We showed up before other customers and were in line, but several groups took empty tables and sat while their friends ordered behind us. The host actually told people to do this. The manger was great and got us a table from outside to eat. Brisket was great / service needs help.

Love BBQ? This is your place. They have some amazing smoked meats - in my four times eating there this week i tried a variety of meats. The Brisket is my favorite followed by the pulled pork. None of the meats have sauce - as there are six different sauces on the table to choose from. While you wait for your food they bring over homemade pork rinds (which are so yummy!) They have a great selection of local craft beers and a fantastic selection of Bourbon. And this is one of those places you should eat dessert first. The banana pudding was amazing. So creamy and flavorful. For sides - the potato salad had tomatoes in it, which seemed odd at first but I really enjoyed it. The Mac n cheese was good. The collards were a little vinegary for me. The sweet potatoes were delicious. And the broccoli/cauliflower au gratin was awesome. The staff was very friendly and very attentive.

the hubs and i went here on one of the most stressful days of our lives. we were both in funks, we were both counting the hours unit the day ended, and ran in here, because--bbq. and alcohol. you order through a line and then take your seat, later someone brings your plate of dinosaur ribs to you (or brisket, or chicken...), and they also bring you your adult beverage--that was the important part. it was relatively quiet, which s awesome for a bbq joint in the middle of downtown area atlanta. not too ruckus. though, it may get ruckus, i don't know. it could, the guys that work there seem chill. chill as in it can be slightly ruckus and they'd be cool with it. but this day it wasn't. this day it was quiet.... i ordered the brisket and was relieved when they brought it to me and i saw sweet and beautiful juicy fat on it. i love fat on brisket, and really give it to a place if i get anything less than that. the fat seals in the moisture, the flavor, the fat taste sweet traveling to your tummy, the fat is beautiful .... the hubs had the dinosaur ribs. the really are huge. he couldn't even eat them all. and he likes ribs. the margarita i had was heavy poured enough to make anyone able to stand being around kanye. my husband had to hold my hand on the walk back to the car--which is what i needed, to forget that day ever happened. except this food part of it. i always want to remember those huge ribs and my brisket with all the beautiful fat on it. a'men.

Great bbq place when u r in Atlanta! Ok I honestly think I got sick after eating here because I ate too much too fast but I'm still giving it a 5 star. Unfortunately they were out of dinosaur rib when we went so we got 1/2 chicken and full rack of ribs. My chicken was sooooo juicy. I'm not a fan of skin so I took mine off but my fiancé seemed to like it. Rib was literally falling off the bone AND there was so much meat on it. Sauces were great with our fav being Kansas City. Definitely try the place. Service is also so great!!! They were super attentive but not annoying and respectful of our space.

We had no idea where to eat after a long, hot day at Six Flags. We found Twin Smokers by internet searches. I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered a half-pound of beef brisket with collard greens and pinto beans. All were excellent. My wife had smoked chicken breast with Brunswick stew. She loved the chicken, but said the stew was too sweet for her taste. Everyone else at the table liked it. My oldest son had pulled pork, which he loved. My youngest son ordered a bowl of Brunswick stew and mac and cheese. He said the stew was the best he had ever tasted. Nice touches were the complimentary fried pork skins and the apparently home made pickles that were served as garnish with the meals. The pickles were delicious. They also had extensive selections of beer and bourbon. In my opinion, Twin Smokers is excellent!

This is definitely a delicious place to try. Love bbq? Love options? Go here. It's a different style of service you order in a line like chipotle then they'll bring the plate to you fairly quickly . It's a little expensive but very much worth it. I chose the shredded pork entree with Mac and cheese and chili. It was ON POINT. They had a ton of different sauces to try and every flavor was better than the next. You even get some pork rines to try the flavors with. The sides were amazing, much better than fox bros... now the meat itself is in close competition.. I've only had the ribs at Fox bros and they were amazing and next time I'll have to try them here. They are definitely in competition here. Now the place was clean the people were nice.. huge selection of beers. They validate your parking since it's right in the city by the coke factory and aquarium! All in all, if you're looking for a good environment..laid back music...not too crowded... fast service..and delicious bbq, try this spot.

I'm a BBQ fanatic and could not be more impressed with quality of food and flavor at Twin Smokers. Brisket had perfect bark, ribs were smokey and delicate, chicken and pulled pork were moist. And the sides could stand out on their own. Incredible collards, potato salad, slaw, pinto beans, Brunswick stew, mac n cheese. (Just remember that the wonder bread is to sop grease from the rich pork, not a sign of the food quality.) Finished with a bourbon milk shake! Simply an amazing meal in an upscale atmosphere. Best BBQ in Atl by far.

I really enjoyed my meal at the Smoke Ring, but more than that I enjoyed the customer service. If you have not notice good customer service goes a long way! The greater gave us his recommendations and he checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing okay! I had the pull chicken sandwich and it was great. So often the meat is dry, but this chicken melted in your mouth. The bun was sweet and I opted for very little sauce because it really didn't need any. If you are a sauce person you will be very happy to know they have a tone of them to choose from. I was not so impressed with the side I opted for the potato salad and it was okay.

I can't believe this place has five star reviews. I can only assume the people who wrote them don't regularly eat BBQ. And if they live in Atlanta, they should be ashamed that they don't eat better BBQ than this. I visited Twin Smokers last Saturday afternoon. It was doing a brisk business, but not crowded and there was no wait. I was lucky that someone was up front when I went in to explain how service works there (bar is full service so have a seat and place your order there OR place your order at the counter register, take a number and have a seat outside or at a table/booth.) Other patrons were not as lucky because the young lady working the counter was also running food. It's a gorgeous Saturday afternoon with a ton of people out and about, why be short-staffed on this day? I ordered the half-rack of baby back ribs. I'm glad I got in relatively early (around 12:30 or so) because about 20 minutes later the bartender told the guy next to me that they'd run out of half-racks and he had to order a 2-meat platter. I can see running out of racks after lunch but it's only 12:30 and it's a Saturday! Not a Monday! As for the ribs, these were the TOUGHEST baby back ribs I have ever had in my life and the rub was flavorless so I smothered them with sauce. (They have one of those carousels with sauces - sweet, spicy, tangy, etc.) I was going to eat this $17 dollar rack of ribs no matter what and I was flossing this tough meat out of my teeth all day. For sides I had the mac-n-cheese and potato salad - awful and awful. The mac-n-cheese sauce tasted powdery in a bad way, not in a Kraft-box-awesome way. The potato salad was okay, but not enough to eat more than a few bites (it was chunky red potato salad and I prefer a yellow potato creamy version). I ordered two drinks - Lynchburg lemonade and Texas margarita. Too much mix in both or poorly shaken. I couldn't tell. Order a beer instead. Service was awful. Initially when I sat down the bartender came over, I placed my order, but I had to look at the drink menu to make a selection. (For the record, I order fast - I eat out a lot and it doesn't take me long to pick.) The bartender moved to speak to a couple a few seats down and I thought she would come right back, but she didn't. She actually disappeared for a very long time. So long that I was able to watch two segments on ESPN before someone (a manager, I think) came to ask if my order had been taken. Turns out, the bartender hadn't put in my order at all. I thought she had and was just waiting on the drink. Nope. She just forgot about me and walked to the back to find bloody mary mix (she had two bottles when she re-appeared after about 10-15 minutes). The bartender made my second drink but she stopped in the middle of it to do some other things, so there was a significant wait there too. She needs some major training. I waited to write this review because I didn't want to be mean but I can't help it. The service and the food were so awful, that I wouldn't come back here, and I can't believe it's surviving in a city with such good BBQ places; it has to be the location. Yelp 100 #29

My wife and I came in for lunch today and it was pretty empty. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and potato salad. The pulled pork tastes a lot better than it appeared and the brisket looked better than it tastes. Overall, both had really good flavor. Not sure if it was later in the day but the brisket was a little dry. Solid options when it came to BBQ sauces.

Let's cut to the chase...man this is AMAZING BBQ! I've had some really good BBQ in this town, but this place bested them all. The moment you step through the door and that smoky goodness hits your nose, you know you're in the right place. The environment just lives and breathes BBQ. There's red brick and wood everywhere (not to mention stacks of kindling for the smokers) and a huge bar to sip on some whiskey while you decide on what you're gonna get. While you're at the bar, get a drink from Melanie...she's not only an awesome bartender and a cool ass chick, that will treat you well, but she hooked us up with what we dubbed the "Mel Special." The MS was a hearty sampling of their various specialties and it did not disappoint. I'm usually not a sausage guy, but theirs was delish...I kept going back for more. Not being a big BBQ fan, my lady opted for the chicken which she was crazy about...SO moist and flavorful. As you can imagine the stars of the show, the pulled pork and beef brisket, were to die for...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Delicious BBQ, had brisket and pulled pork both where very good. Mixed drinks where delicious as well. Only opened a couple months ago and is in a good area close to Centennial Park. Give them a try.

The Georgia Aquarium isn't far so parking is ridiculous but we were lucky and got a spot right in front. It's only 30 minute parking but we sat outside and kept an eye on the car. The waitress was so friendly. We did an assortment of meats pulled pork, brisket and sausage with collard greens, chili and sweet potatoes as our side dishes. The brisket and pork were flavorful and tender. I usually think brisket is hard but it was tender with a strong smokey flavor. I recommend both. I did not eat the sausage but everyone at the table who did thought it was average to slightly above average. I would recommend it to people if they were in the area and wanted BBQ.

The bbq is really good here! Me and my friend both opted for the pulled pork option and was not disappointed. The service was great! We were asked if this was our first time, which it was, so I thought that was very thoughtful! We were then explained to all about Twin Smokers and how they operate. I love the big windows as I like to people watch. Our food came out fairly quickly. The pork rinds that were given to us were good and homemade although I like mine a little bit crunchier. Our sides were not good at all. I had the mac n chz and collards and my friend got the collards and potato salad. The mac n chz had bits of jalapenos in it so that was good but that's the only thing that gave it flavor. The collards were OK, a little vinegary and my friend said the potatoes in the potato salad were too hard. I took my remaining pulled pork (and some of my friends :)) and ate it later on that night and it was even better! I judge all food by how well it reheats and Twin Smokers BBQ passed the test! I would definitely go back and opt for a sandwich without any sides.

I ate here twice while in town for a conference at the Georgia World Conference Center. Both times were for lunch and both times were excellent. I love that the two smokers have names, and their beer list is pretty decent, especially for local options. BBQ sauce is on the tables and the meat is tender and juicy. I'd happily return here if I were ever in the area again.

Great BBQ. Good service and friendly staff. Price was right. If you're ever in Downtown Atlanta and want BBQ, this is the place. I went with the 3 item combo plate because I've been good and felt like I deserved it. Had the pulled pork, brisket and pork ribs and Mac N Cheese and Greens for sides. Everything was excellent. Portions were big, couldn't finish it.

Move over Fox Bros BBQ: Now, I have the ultimate respect for great BBQ done right and have had success in finding great places here in Atlanta. While that may be true, I've now found the crème de la crème of BBQ in Atlanta. Great atmosphere and quick service. Large filling portions; you should never leave hungry. If they don't offer, be sure to ask for the skins while you wait on your mountain of food. Worried about parking?? Don't be! Parking will be validated if you park in the deck across the street. Thank me later...

This is some darn good BBQ. Checked it out based on other Yelp reviews, boy was I glad I did. Brisket is amazingly good, super tender and tons of smoky goodness. Try all of their BBQ sauce options - or mix them to make your own sauce. Great beer selection. Decent sized bar. Good location to grab lunch or dinner if you are a solo diner on business. Barternders are super friendly.

Outstanding BBQ. Stand outs are the Beef Rib, Burnt Ends, and the Brisket. In terms of quality, this is on par with or better than Heirloom to give you an idea. The Beef Rib is enormous, succulent, moist, and has a great bark. I am here at least once a week.

To quote Archer, "Do you want a 5 star review?", "because that's how you get a 5 star review.". Actually, did not sample the food, as their Yelp listing said they were open until 11 and I arrived at 9:15. Ginger the host broke the bad news to me, but offered a drink at the bar. Melanie mixed an incredible Manhattan, consoled me; I drank up, paid my check and off I went in search of solid food. Ended up next door at Max's Pizza. Ginger found me, apologized for not buying me a drink at Twin Smokers and bought my drinks at Max's! She also apologized again for not having food for me. WOW. Ginger gets it. That's how you make client's rave. Of course, the next time I'm in Atlanta, I will have to sample the BBQ at Twin Smokers, right now, I'm a fan. Thanks Ginger & Melanie.

Had the brisket sandwich and it was one of the best I have had in a long time. My friends had the ribs and they loved them as well. The restaurant is very clean and has great lighting. The servers and the food prepares were very friendly. The brisket in my sandwich was cold when I got it and they replaced it with a fresh hot piece right away. Great overall service.

Good brisket, great sauces and mac and cheese. The location has a cool vibe inside with the stacked wood along the wall. The meat came out fast and was carved at the bar. I was not expecting much from a downtown location BBQ, but they knew what they were doing.

Before you order your meal make sure you are going to save room for the banana pudding! The brisket is amazing and so are the ribs! They offer many styles of sauces to choose from, and my favorite was the Texas style. The sweet potato casserole side made me feel like I was having my dessert with my meal (that's a good thing). The collard greens were flavorful, tangy, and made me want to eat all my veggies! The bartenders are so fun, and they serve canned drinks in the restaurant's own custom coozies. I left here stuffed and happy!

Twin Smokers was pretty good. I went with a group, and everyone enjoyed their meal. I got pulled pork and a side of mac and cheese and collards. My sides were definitely tasty, but I didn't feel the need to finish my mac and cheese. I didn't want to slap anybody because of it, meaning it wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was still tasty. Some people in my party complained that the ribs were dried out. Must have been that second twin smoker that did it. . . Overall, I'd say it's a good place for groups. It has free validated parking at the parking deck across the street, which is super helpful. I also like the location, right downtown, and has access to other Atlanta attractions. My favorite part of Twin Smokers were the sauces. While most of them are overly sweet, there were a few of the spicy ones that really stood out. Look for those. All of them are on the table. So the major question is: Would I go back again? The answer is. . . maybe. I would go happily if someone else suggested it, but I've had better bbq in Atlanta, so I wouldn't suggest it personally. It's good enough to go with someone else if they want to try it, but not good enough to enthusiastically recommend.

  • Harry H.

We were skeptical of such a high rating so close to all the downtown attractions, but went here anyway because yankees are suckers for barbecue, but it really was mediocre at best, and not as filling for $38.88 as comparable meals.

Terribly disappointed. Sold out of all protein at 6:15 on a Friday night. That is just really bad planning/ management. That's probably enough that I won't even try going back gain.

Pretty good BBQ! I love that the meats do not have any sauce and you have 6 choices on the table to choose from. Everything was very delicious and the place smells amazing! Only con is you order and then sit down so if you want another drink, you have to get back up and pay again.

We saw this place on Atlanta Eats, were downtown and tried it. Good choice. The ribs were excellent. Get the mac & cheese. Pulled pork was good and they have 5 different sauces to put on it. We enjoyed the Memphis sauce the best. You order at a counter, get your own soft drinks and they bring the food to your table. That works OK since the menu choices are very visible. A couple could split a pick 2 or pick 3 combo. They say there are over 40 beers, but there are about 6-8 on tap. What they are could be easier to figure out. The rest are cans. This place is not that big. We went late afternoon, but I could see it being crowded. If you are in the Centennial Park area, you will enjoy Twin Smokers.

  • D K.

The line was very long b/c of it being a holiday weekend. People continuously skipped the line and walked straight up to the counter, ordered, and the cashier said nothing. There's not a lot of seating. B/c we ordered at the register and sat at the bar the bartender didn't want to serve us more drinks, which were alcoholic! The customer service could be better among the staff, but the management was great! When we received our food, one of the meats was not what we ordered. The manager got the right order to us and let us keep the meat we didn't order. The only thing I would recommend to them is to make sure if they're going to have a busy weekend to order more food and to work on customer service skills! They were out of the sausage (which looked really tasty!) and out of ice cream to make the shakes.

Der Biergarten was closed. And that's where I wanted to take my Mom, so we tried this place because I was hoping they would validate. The place smells amazing. But there's paper menus and you have to place your order at a register and get a number. And get your own drinks, so don't tip twenty percent like I did. BECAUSE when a 67 year old woman finds a lipstick stain on her plastic cup and you tell her to go ask for another cup once she is seated with her food. You owe me money! Now for the food. Bbq is comfort food and like many of the amazing bbq places in Atlanta, a $14 plate shouldn't be dry and skimpy. The sides are cold because they come from a Picadilly buffet at the bar. The meat isn't memorable, but the sauces are good and the Sunbeam white bread isn't Texas toast! The only reason I gave it two stars is because the place smells and looks cool. And the free pork rinds that we got at the end of our meal, after we asked for them, were on point. Two smokers needs to learn not to disrespect old people and not to be chintzy with comfort food.

Well, at 7:30 p.m. on a Thursday they ran out of chicken and brisket and served us cold mac and cheese. Those are pretty much the only things you need to not screw up at a BBQ joint.

Restaurants can sometimes have me hooked before I even taste the food with a warm greeting, fun environment, compelling story, and the promise of a good time. All of these and seriously tasty eats come together at Twin Smokers BBQ in Downtown Atlanta. This concept is an Atlanta original, but features the distinct flavors of Texas, North Carolina, Kansas City, and Memphis in their BBQ offerings. The actual "twin smokers" at the restaurant are named for owner David Marvin's actual twin children- Elizabeth and Matthew. Executive Chef Chris Blobaum has a classic Atlanta culinary pedigree, having overseen such iconic kitchens such as The OK Cafe, Bones and the Blue Ridge Grill. Showing off his brisket smoking this afternoon, there was so much pride in his voice as he pointed out the different woods used to create signature tastes for the different smoked meats being served. Start your meal off with a free basket of house made chicharones and then make a plan to dive into the meats & sides. Some standouts for me included the large chunked potato salad, pickled beets and classic Mac 'n Cheese. Save room for dessert - their banana pudding is some of the best I've had in Atlanta and I have the feeling they will quickly become known for their "Double Trouble" milkshake featuring High Road Craft vanilla ice cream mixed with Bulleit Bourbon. More twin references? Speaking of Bourbon, their list will get fans of the classic Southern brown liquor excited. Twenty-three blends and some of the top names in the business - including Angel's Envy, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, and of course Bulleit. Parking is easy (almost unheard of in downtown), with three hours validated in the deck across from the restaurant.

I've made BBQ cooking a hobby and always love to try new places. BBQ is as controversial as politics and religion so I can understand why this place might not suit the tastes of some. However, this place does everything right. So I believe the people who posted bad reviews are the problem, not Twin Smokers. No restaurant is perfect and mistakes can be made, but my belief is if something is wrong here they will make it right. The brisket, for me was just okay, but I'm not a big fan of brisket. However the flavor was great as was the flavor of the pork. I've eaten a lot of BBQ and the pork here had the best smoke flavor of any I've had anywhere. I wish I could duplicate their results on by smoker. Some have complained about the prices. I believe them to be reasonable for what you get. I observed the plates of other diners for quantity and have to disagree with those who complained about prices. Remember food prices are up. That's not the restaurants fault.

How can you be out of brisket ??? You're a Barbecue restaurant! Highly disappointed we walked over from aquarium just to try them. Top it off they were "out" of sweet tea as well .. Out? Can you really be out of such a thing?? Lost hope - Won't be back.

Here from Boston at the Americas Mart. We're here twice a year and always looking for a new place to go. First plus...walking distance from the show. Second...delicious and amazing BBQ and sides. Third...incredible hospitality. Will definitely be shamelessly promoting them to fellow show attendees and returning myself. If you want to try the best dish, order anything!!!!

Twin smokers - Elizabeth and Mathew - turn out Southern and Texas style BBQ pork, chicken, brisket and an amazing Dinosaur beef rib. They keep it simple and delicious at the Twins. Great sides like pickled beets and crispy Cole slaw and creamy mac 'n cheese and collards. Our only regret is that we were too full to try the amazing looking banana pudding.

Cool atmosphere, cocktails w/large selection of bourbon, and outstanding food. A friend and i both had the 2 meat sampler, brisket and pulled pork, collards and slaw for sides. Hands down the best brisket i've ever had, very juicy and flavorful. Pork was moist with a great bark. They have several sauces available at your table, and while i tasted and enjoyed them, the meat stands out on it's own. Staff was super helpful as well; my dumb ass misplaced my parking ticket, and the manager was kind enough to walk me across the street, get me sorted out so i didn't get stuck with an inflated parking fee.

Every now and then you come across a restaurant where all of the meat is well-cooked and well-seasoned. And it's nice when you come across those. But then sometimes you come across a place where the meat changes your palette and expectation of smoked meat entirely. That's this place. I know they've just opened, but if they have to work out kinks, I don't know what they are. We had each of the meats and every bite was followed with a closed-eyes proclamation of "ooh" or an "aah." Paired with an incredibly warm environment and friendly staff, this place is a win all around. If you HAVE to choose, go with the chicken and the sausage first. They are hands-down life-changing. Then next time you go, which you will, go with the pulled pork and brisket. They also have a variety of housemade barbecue sauces, so you can personalize for your taste. Last, their Twin Smokers Bar Cocktail is excellent, and if you've got it in you, you HAVE to try the bourbon milkshake. Just outstanding. Can't say enough. Excellent restaurant, and it's already making Downtown Atlanta a better place than it already is.

It's very rare that a 4.5 star rating is unfair to a restaurant. But in this case it absolutely is. The food here is spectacular. The smoked meat comes out of named smokers (Elizabeth and Matthew). There is a slew of BBQ sauces at each table (they're all delicious). They have a great beer list, draft and bottle. And the service couldn't be friendlier.

Nice drinks, I had three meat plate(chicken, pulled pork, and ribs) and collard greens. It was average. Not a lot to talk about, the meat was a little tough but the collard greens were great. The Georgia Peach drink was great! Love the peaches!

Amazing bbq. The beef rib is Flintstones size. HUGE! Incredible food. Tried a little of each person and all were amazing. Service is also great. Rob was a little on the small size and they proactively came up and let us know. They then went ahead and added a few extra meats to the dish. I recommend for anyone in Atlanta. I will return whenever I visit.

Four and a half stars with more than a couple dozen reviews is usually a pretty good indicator of a good spot for me. This place certainly did not disappoint. Some of the best brisket i've had, in a lively, friendly atmosphere, with great local beers on tap. Can't wait to try the ribs!

Loved the atmosphere....not stuffy! The Brisket was great and to my surprise the chicken, which I normally find dry when BBQ'd, was moist and flavorful. Loved the cauliflower and Brussel sprout casserole so much that I made one like it at home! Very nice surprise! Really love this place...I'll be back

I tried this place for the first rims today. I had a taste for BBQ, however when I got there I changed my mind. I had the half chicken with 2 sides, which consisted of Mac n cheese and collard greens!! As a southern women, I was impressed the with the taste and consistency of the sides! They were delicious!! We went about 5 pm on a Friday, and it was pretty empty. The service was quick and friendly. Next time I will try the ribs; however my chicken was very moist and flavorful. I forgot to take a picture, but I will next time

I can't even begin to tell you about the food, since my friend and I walked out during the ordering process - which was a complete customer service disaster. (I will say that the place smelled like BBQ heaven.) First of all, I got there about 10 minutes before my friend and not a single staff person greeted me, approached me, nor asked me if I needed anything, nor offered me a drink while I waited - nothing. I stood by myself off to the side until my friend arrived. We met at 5:30 p.m. because we had read that if you want the beef rib you have to get there early - well let me tell you - that means go for lunch. But the fact they were "out of beef ribs" actually wasn't what sent us out the door. We would have ordered something else if that were the beginning and end to the story. But it is not. There were three stooges running the place. Stooge A is the cashier. Stooge B is the line server and Stooge C was the manager hanging out at the end of the bar. We step up to the cash register to order and we order two Beef Ribs. Stooge A says he needs to check to see if they are any left (you have no way getting this information without walking away from the customer?). Stooge A goes to Stooge C and she tells him there is one left. He comes back and is telling us there is one left when Stooge B overhears and says there on none left. Stooge A walks away again and he and Stooge B look in a warmer, pull out a tray and Stooge B announces she had no idea they were back there and lo and behold there are THREE beef ribs in the tray. Stooge A comes back and tells us there are three ribs, when Stooge C overhears this and waves over Stooge B and Stooge C apparently to tell them that she had already promised someone else the other two and there is really only 1 rib left. Note - all of this is right in front of us .... and we can hear and see everything. At this point we are already beyond frustrated that they have no idea what meal items they have in inventory and can't get their story straight. We start to pressure Stooges A and B and come to learn that Stooge C allowed someone to call in ahead and reserve ribs. Ummm ... excuse me. If your website says get their early because we run out. And no where does it say you can call ahead and ask the manager to save you some ... and your manager fails to communicate her behind the scenes deal with her staff ... well then you have created a huge debacle in front of your customers. So it doesn't really matter that the place smelled amazing and the food we could see on the line looked delicious - when your customer service is horrid - you don't get our money and earn crappy reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp!

They opened up for a pre-opening VIP tasting to some local residents in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as well as the staff and food. The pulled pork was very tender and moist, and the sides I got were fantastic. The BBQ is straight and to the point (how it should be), and the uniniqueness comes from the sauces and the sides (I got burnt ends chili as well as the potato salad, which had some tomatoes and corn slaw thrown in). The meat is served unsauced, and they have about 5 bottles of sauce at the tables. I recommend the Texas (spicy) and the Memphis. I'm generally very picky about my BBQ, but this place would keep me coming back. I would rank it top 5 in the metro Atlanta area. They have a decent selection of craft beers as well.

I'm from Texas and a little picky about barbecue. I was more than happy with this place. I'll be back.

BEST BARBECUE EVER!!!!! I was visiting from San Diego, and my wife and other family went there. 40 bourbons!!!!! I had 3 different ones that the bartender suggested to me. The service was top notch. They went above and beyond to make sure our meal was memorable. We got the $75 platter and some extra sides. I also got the largest beef rib I have ever seen! So tender and awesome! Best beef brisket you could ever have! Thanks you guys for an awesome experience!!!!!

Decided to go here because of the 5 star rating, but what a disappointment. While the hostess/cashier was very nice and knowledgable the food attendants/cooks were not engaging. The food overall was lacking. We ordered the ribs which were not tender and not very flavorful and the brisket was extremely dry. The manager was nice enough to bring us some more brisket but they were worse than the first ones (woefully over cooked and had no flavor. The sides were good ( pinto beans and sweet potato casserole). If you have the expectation of really good barbecue I would recommend you find another establishment.

In the immortal words of Jim Carey in The Mask ... "SMOKIN'!!!!" In town for business and sat at the bar where Amy took care of me with terrific recommendations and even better service! The twin wood smokers fired up some of the best ribs and brisket I've ever had. The selection of sauces was great and each had its own unique taste. Texas had a spicy hot kick and the Kansas City spiced and sweet were two of my favorites. Great atmosphere and will definitely be back whenever I visit Atlanta!

The food, atmosphere and service were great! It was my husband's first time in Atlanta and I wanted to take him to some good bbq. It was my first time here and well worth it. Very reasonably priced and a great selection of whiskey to boot! Loved the variety of regional bbq. Kudos Twin Smokers

Good potato salad, good Mac and cheese, good pulled pork sandwich. Not the best I have ever had, but certainly above average. Price is not bad considering the area. If you are down in the area, you should put it on the list for lunch or dinner.

Was looking forward to trying a new neighborhood restaurant but they closed before 8:00 because they ran out of food... Turned away at the door... Did they run out of everything????

Incredible smoky pulled pork. Delicious "spiced and sweet" sauce has a hint if cinnamon and nutmeg. Never had anything like it! Local beers on tap and moonshine for the brave.

Great choice of barbecue sauces, tender ribs and great wait staff. Only gotcha I could mention is that the Mac n cheese is heavily spiked with jalapeños, which I found quite unexpected. Great location just up the road from the Georgia aquarium!

Was looking for a place that was an easy walk from the Georgia World Congress Center and served food that my kids would eat. After reading all the good reviews on Yelp, we decided to try this place. We all loved it! We had a pulled pork sandwich and ribs. Sides were cole slaw, potato salad, and mac-n-cheese. Everything was delicious. The meat was cooked well, had a nice flavor, and had the perfect level of juiciness for us. They had 5-6 different BBQ sauces at the table. I couldn't find one that I absolutely loved, but the Memphis one as OK. Kids liked the Twin Smokers one. The cole slaw had a nice bite to it. It was cut to a good size and had just the right amount of liquid. Perfect. Potato salad was odd. Tasted good, but wasn't my favorite. Possibly the way it was cut or maybe wasn't cooked as much as I would like. Not sure. I still ate it. Mac-n-cheese seemed to have a little jalapeño in it. One of the kids didn't want it. I wish I had tried it before the potato salad. I probably would've eaten the whole thing. We went late in the day, a little after 8pm on a Thursday, and it wasn't crowded, but the food was still nice and fresh. There aren't a lot of tables so I imagine it gets pretty crowded at peak times. We will definitely come back.

BEST BBQ IN THE A!!! I work in the area so we are always looking for new lunch spots. We have not gone anywhere else for lunch on Sunday's since. The brisket is great. Pulled pork and chicken also awesome. The Mac and cheese is the greatest though. Especially if you add some spicey BBQ sauce to the mix!!!!

Just got done eating here for the first time, and am an avid foodie here in Atlanta. This place has its smoking technique down to a science as the smoke rings weren't barely visible. They were dark pink and thick. The smoke flavor is present in everything they had. I had the three meat platter (meats including the sausage, cheshire pork, and the brisket.) Though the sausage was a bit grainy in consistency, it had an amazing taste. Maybe cooking with a more solid snap to the skin, but the way it was smoked was well done and locked in every bit of the flavor. The brisket was great, aside from I feel it was cut a bit too thick. Still, great smoke ring to it and good flavor. My favorite, the cheshire pork, had the most amazing burnt ends in it, and the pork was fantastic as it is. Again, as the other two meats, the smoke rings were very noticeable and were fantastic. They have every kind of bbq sauce you need, but with this food, you won't need it. The two sides I got were the potato salad and collards. I'm not a fan of collards at all, but they didn't really have another veggie that wasn't starchy. These collards, however were amazing. Best I've ever had with good bits of bacon and the liquid the collards sat in had good "fat rings" in them, where you could tell they did it right. As for the potato salad, they did a good mix by adding corn and tomato in it. The potatoes had the skin on it, which I am a fan, but the taste wasn't really there. Not bad, but not my favorite. Here's where the problem everyone talks about. The piece of bread isn't done as "Texas toast." Here's the problem with that... Texas doesn't do Texas toast. The bread is there just as something to have to nibble on that sops up the sauces and juices. No butter needed for the toast. Too many whiskeys to choose from, which anybody will tell you is not a problem at all, and I agree... and they have moonshine for sale there that makes it even more of a great place to go to. I give it 4 stars because I see where they're going, and I like it, but they have some room to improve in areas. That being said, my rear end will be sitting on a stool there at the bar again very soon. Good prices, and great food with great drink selections. Keep it coming, and I'll see you soon!

Some of the best brisket I've had in Atlanta. Very tender and juicy. You have to get the burnt end chili as one of your sides!

Just left and had a great experience!! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The menu was easy to read and I felt was very affordable. Kids meals were $5 and well portioned and the adult plates had large portions as well. The meat was delicious and our favorite was the brisket - well flavored and so tender. The atmosphere is great and very well designed. Very cool vibe. Service was quick - order at the counter and delivered within minutes. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 is because I felt the sides were lacking. I'd like to see more traditional BBQ sides. While this was an upscale twist, none of them knocked it out of the park. This is coming from a southern girl y'all and it was GOOD!!! I had to come back and mention the complimentary pork skins - second best I've ever had. Yummmmmm!!!

I believe they have the absolute best brisket in Atlanta. They're brisket rivals my grandpa's and he was a born and bred Texas brisket smoker. Their collards were pretty darn good too. Well actually they were excellent. Not so much a fan of the weird potato salad. Nice flavor but corn and cherry tomatoes have no place in potato salad. I didn't try anything else and probably will only work my way through the sides because I can't imagine ordering anything but the awesome brisket!

We showed up at about 6p on a Sunday and they were out of everything excepted pulled chicken and sausage. It was good but the portions are really small. I got one pickle slice and a few onion slices. My greens were only enough for three forkfuls. I really did want to like it more.

What a great BBQ option for Atlanta. Twin Smokers is a simple, no-frills dining experience that we all definitely enjoyed. I took the "tour of metas" sampling with the 3 meat plate and everything I ate was wonderful. I'm usually turned off by places where you order at the counter and then sit down, but it works for Twin Smokers. Food came out quick and staff was friendly and helpful. At the table, a selection of BBQ sauces means there's something for everyones' tastes, although I didn't feel the Kansas City one tasted very Kansas City (and I lived there for many years). Regardless, they were all quite good.

Outstanding. Visiting from AZ and wanted to try Atlanta BBQ. The ribs were fabulous as was everything else we tried. The highlight for the table though was the Brisket. Amazingly tender and moist. The servers were all great to talk to and made us all feel really welcome. Even the manager came by our table and bought us a beer to welcome us. What a great experience all around. Going back for some burnt ends tomorrow.

Within walking distance of our hotel which is why we decided to go. It was a little weird that you order at the counter and they bring your food to you or sit at the bar for full service, which is what we did. I ordered the pulled pork plate with collards and coleslaw. After a recommendation from the bartender, the Huz ordered the brisket sandwich and potato salad. The food came out quickly, served on a tray. The portions were huge. I think they had 6 sauces to choose from to include sweet and spicy, vinegar based, spicy, etc. The pork was moist and had enough flavor that it really didn't need sauce to be honest. The collards were HANDS-DOWN the best I have ever had. I think they made their own pickles -also very good. This place was so good that the next day after we watched the Panthers lay the wood and end the Falcons season, we stopped by for a celebratory dinner and we both ordered the same thing. Thanks for the hospitality- I highly recommend.

Awesome brisket, chicken, everything! The potato salad and burnt ends chili were delish! Save room for the banana pudding and the bourbon milkshakes! I think I gained 10 pounds but it was worth it. Great selection of beers and the Texas margarita rocks. Brian and his staff treated us like royalty and I can't wait to go back. Great atmosphere. Loved it!

Ah, where to begin? 'Twas a brisk December afternoon when I decided to step into Twin Smokers. Little did I know that my life was suddenly on the brink of eternal alteration. I was instantly welcomed by the hospitable staff as well as enveloped in the modern-folk decor. After being seated at a rustic farm table, I was served a fine assortment of the establishment's tenderest beef ribs and pulled pork, along with a vast array of delectable and unique sauces. My heart now belongs to the Kansas City sauce: the perfect combination of sweet and spicy- adding the perfect zing to the already succulent meat. Shortly after dining at Twin Smokers, I began to experience a rather odd combination of events. Upon immediately ingesting the delicious brisket, I was approached by a vision of the Virgin Mary. She began to speak to me in a benign tone, "Try the macaroni and cheese, my child. It will help you move mountains." Of course, I did as the Virgin Mary requested and I was met with the sudden onslaught of a heavenly choir, singing the Hallelujah chorus from Handel's "Messiah." It was a truly heavenly experience. I will definitely dine here again.
