I've been here a few times. it's a decent little after-hour cafe in the middle of downtown. i don't eat here often because i don't always hang out downtown after hours, but they have smoe pretty good tiramisu. ***ladies bring a sweater. it's ALWAYS cold in there!***

The place is convenient when it comes to late night Dining, but there service is horrible my girlfriend and i waited 45mins. For a freaking little cup of chicken noodle soup that should be already made.. All they had to do is serve it on a plate... Will not be coming back to this place..

This place is underrated. I've only tried it for breakfast, but the omelettes are fantastic. It's a few steps up from your chain breakfast joints, like Waffle House, and they've added an international flair. And, hell, if you're craving prime rib instead of eggs, you can get it.

The only positive here are the portions. Perhaps this is great for the college kids, but the food was expensive and tasted mediocre at best, and at times outright awful. Go somewhere else. I ate around 9:15p, so it was quiet inside. The interior looks like a hole-in-the-wall which might have great food. The service was courteous, if a bit distant. I ordered lasagna - which is probably my fault, at a 24hr joint breakfast is much harder to screw up. I watched them pull it out of a cooler, unwrap the food, and microwave it. Served partly on top of a Greek salad, this was a fairly large piece of the worst lasagna I have ever eaten. I think a Banquet family dinner tastes better. The server made a point about desserts, so I tried a slice of German chocolate cake. It screamed mediocrity with flat and dry cake layers separated by very sparing amounts of coconut. All told, 33.50 with tip. Ridiculous pricing for such poor quality.

I get that it's a 24 hour restaurant... I also get that this isn't fine dining. I ordered the steak and eggs. As listed it's a New York strip... It was well done dog food. Hardly a steak. My over medium eggs were done scrambled well. Again I'm not asking for fine dining I'm asking for edible food. My ladies shrimp salad was acidic and had obviously turned... She's sick in the restroom as we speak. If you run a restaurant you have a responsibility to serve safe food. Tonight wasn't just a failure it was unsafe. -------- Mentioned our worries about the food quality to the manager as we paid. He didn't care at all!!! This place is going to get people sick and they literally don't care.

LARGE PORTION WARNING. Ordered the French onion soup and a ceasar salad. Could only get about a 1/3 of each before I was stuffed! Stuffed I say! And both combined came out to about $12? In addition, the lettuce for the salad was vibrant green, fresh and was definitely pretty darn tasty. The French onion soup was basic, but had the cheese and croutons Open 24 hours and can call in for pick up. Will definitely be back if I'm ever starving, or am willing to share the large portioned servings of food.

It's a diner. Not fancy, not pretentious. Simple food withe ample portions. Breakfasts are a slam dunk. A huge bowl of oatmeal for $2. I'm serious. Best thing on the breakfast menu for me is the gyro omelet with added swiss cheese. Oh so good. Lunches are more of the same theme. Salads aren't going to overwhelm you with exotic ingredients, but they're big and tasty. Service slows down a bit when it's busy, but no showstoppers. The thing to remember is.... IT'S A DINER!!! Nothing more need be said.

Ok. So Everyone I know knows I'm no fan of Landmark Diner...... But if I had to choose a location, I'd choose this one on Luckie St. However, don't try the grouper sandwich....yuck. There are no words to explain. Great desserts though.

Don't believe the hype. From the second I walked in the door it was terrible. It was busy, but there were several tables and booths with no one sitting at them. There was a party of five in front of me and my friend, but we quickly realize that they had not been acknowledged at all. Eventually one of their group gets a waitress attention and both parties are seated. We spent the next few minutes looking over the menu, but no one took our drink orders. After around 8 minutes we get our drink orders in and then our food orders. Both of which are very simple orders. I had a BLT with fries and a shake and my friend ordered a sandwich as well with just fries. Another 10 minutes go by and the shake shows up. The waitress practically slams it down on the table. We are both kinda left wondering what her problem is, but we ignore it. The shake itself was a huge disappointment. The menu has these lovely pictures of these large elegant shakes. I end up with a 20oz shake in a foam cup that tastes like someone just put strawberry syrup into vanilla ice cream. Fast forward ahead to the thirty five minute mark I've finished my shake and no sandwiches have shown up. I want to reiterate that we ordered sandwiches. Toast bread, but things on bread and serve. Suppose to be easy and relatively quick. At this point we flag down the waitress and ask her how long she thinks its going to be. She says 5-10 minutes and then immediately backtracks and says 10 minutes. Then she pauses for a moment and shakes her head and says shes not going to make any promises at all. It was all a little creepy and strange. We informed her that we would wait another 10 minutes and then we had to leave. At this point shes smarting off telling us she doesn't care and that she has no control. While these may have been truthful statements, its not how you go about talking to customers. We both stand up and head toward the door. At this point the waitress is all like "What did I do! What did I do?". We head over to the cashier and place down the money for the shake and drinks we were served. Before we can go out the door the weekend manager is practically on top of us. He wants to know what was wrong and were we are going. I turn and point to the waitress who is several feet behind him and begin to explain. At this point I am told to get my finger out of his face. Now it really begins to sink in. I realize that not only am I dealing with an inconsiderate waitress, but a poorly trained manager who is not listening to me. Apparently none of them know how to interact with customers. At this point I was now both hungry and infuriated. I had been polite up to this moment, but the time for that was over. I told him to promptly "fuck off" and I will never visit this (or any of the sister) establishments ever again. Stay away.

After checking in hotel past 11pm, this diner was one of few places still open and close to my hotel (Residence Inn Downtown). I ordered burger and fries to go and the order was pretty much what I expected. It cost $11. Pros: * came exactly as ordered, with extra vegetables. * generous amount of fries. * fast service. Cons: Nothing really.

Yeah I picked this place randomly after my first choice wasn't looking great either. I've had great experiences with Diners before. They usually are very clean and look welcoming but that wasn't the case with this one, they are lucky my Friend and I were hungry if not we would have left. The service was slow and kind of rude which is unacceptable since it wasn't busy at all. The food was just mediocre. We ordered a Beef Gyro and Chicken Gyro they were cold, no flavor, looked cheap, left with a bad taste. The fries were soggy and the gyro sauce was bad, the actual gyro looked cheap also and the lettuce, onions and tomatoes had a strange taste. The water was great though lol. I could tell my friend did not enjoy it at all, and I felt horrible for it since it was our first time meeting sigh. That whole area around us with places to eat looked awful, I will not come back to eat to this place or any other places in this area at all, Terrible experience for my Friend and me.

I eat at the Landmark pretty often, so I am familiar with the pluses and minuses. I like the spacious, open diner decor, and the service is usually very good: they are almost always speedy, but sometimes you may have to wave them down if you need them to come to your table. If I need napkins, silverware, or condiments, I just just grab them off another table--no problem. Here are the menu items I am familiar with: I like the Greek chicken wrap--it's loaded down with a ton of grilled chicken, feta, and vegetables. It does need some tzatziki, though, so make sure you get that. I avoid fried foods, but their french fries are very good, I must say. I usually substitute a Greek salad, which is huge. Amazingly, their potato salad is quite decent--didn't expect that. The salads with chicken or salmon are very filling and quite tasty as well. Soups are good, especially the bean, lentil, and chicken. Haven't tried the matzo. As someone mentioned, the hot dogs are quite good. Veggie burgers are good too here (some say very good), and I really like the grilled chicken sandwiches--huge breasts of chicken on buns with burger toppings, mmmm. The grilled cheese sandwich is wonderful: I like it on rye, with tomato. Greek dishes usually come out well here: I especially like the spanakopita, a large square of spinach, feta, and onion pie. If you stick with the tried and true American and Greek specialties, you will enjoy the Landmark.

Unfortunately the food is flavorless. The hot wings are subpar and the matzo ball soup is ok. The hummus was average and the pita tasted as though it had just been thawed, warmed and served. The staff is acceptable but they could be more attentive. However, with all this said I must compliment the desserts, they are excellent!

The Landmark Diner was a eat and go stop for me before heading to a meeting. The food wasn't very good, but it was tolerable because I was hungry. The waitress was very Nice, however very inattentive at the same time. Next time, I'll find somewhere else to eat and won't be back here.

I decided to come here since it was 15 F outside and I was in the mood for some good soup. I came into the restaurant and was seated in the back to a table for two (I was by myself). A nanosecond afterwards, my waiter asks if I'm ready to order. No, I haven't even opened my menu yet. So I said, give me a few minutes, I'll just have a glass of water. Being that the childhood diner of mine in New York serves matzo ball soup and it's really hard to find down here, I give it a go and order it along with a side of french fries. About 10-15 minutes go by and the waiter brings me my food. The soup and fries are both lukewarm (barely hot), and the matzo soup just looks like Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup with two matzo balls in it. There's barely any broth and it was completely not worth $5.99. I could have made this at home for at most 1/3rd the price. There was a generous amount of french fries given to me, so I asked politely for a to-go box (so that I can have them for a snack later). I go use the restroom (I already put everything in a to-go box) and the waiter or someone threw them away, just randomly. Um dude, that was my food that I paid for and you just got rid of them? What? O_o Marginally lukewarm food that has half star ingredients yet has 3 star prices. I basically just paid $6 for a bowl of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. My bill came out to $14 for both. A thing of fries and a bowl of soup. Ridiculous and now I know why in my four years at Georgia State I never went there nor did anyone I know. Get better ingredients, prepare them better, make sure they're WARM NOT COLD, and don't throw my food in a to-go box out!!

Victory! My quest for a 24-hour breakfast place in the Peachtree Center area was finally successful after 3 days. No thanks to Yelp, which displayed many restaurants under my search (none of which actually served breakfast after 11am). This place does, but did not show up in Yelp's list! WTFO, Yelp? Zero stars for you. As for landmark, they lost 2 stars because I had to track down a waiter to order & pay, and the AC needs to come down a few degrees. I was sweating in shorts!

The boyf and I were staying downtown for a conference and we wanted breakfast food on Saturday morning. Even though the prices are on the expensive side and the food isn't anything special or out of the ordinary, the Landmark Diner came through. Our server was friendly and attentive, the dining area and bathrooms were clean, and the food was tasty. Wait: the boyf and I both ordered bacon with our meals--me with the breakfast platter and him as a side--and we each received four pieces of bacon rather than the usual two or three. And the server had recorded our bacon preferences correctly (him, crispy; me, greasy and undercooked) and gotten the kitchen to comply! That's notable! Atlanta has so many fantastic brunch places that I would not recommend someone make a special trip to try this diner. Nevertheless I am pleased that it exists for folks who are hungry at all hours of the day.

The Landmark Dine is everything a restaurant shouldn't be. Other diners, please read this review and go at your own risk. 1- Service: server started the conversation with: "what do you want to drink?" We ordered, 20 minutes later the food came cold, and no utensils or napkins. So we had to wait 20 minutes until she came to ask her for utensils and napkins. By that time, the onion rings were soggy and cold. After dinner, we asked for the check, 30 minutes later we had to leave the table to go to the cashier to pay for the meal and leave. The cashier started doubting what we ordered, so HE had to wait for the server to come back to tell him what we ordered. Not okay. 2- Food: We ordered Chicken Gyro and Beef Gyro. My friend's beef Gyro looked semi decent. My chicken gyro was awful. AWFUL. please don't get it. the chicken was boiled, dry, old, and obviously left overs. the pita bread was bought from a store (I know which store it is too) lettuce was wilted, onions were stone cold, and their tatziki sauce was nothing but yogurt and sourcream mixed together. I found myself chocking from how dry everything is, how sour the sauce was. It was just not good. It really wasn't. I know this sounds like a harsh review, I'm not trying to be mean, they really dropped the ball. big time. 3- environment: okay. Not too clean, but it wasn't unacceptable either. It has the look of a traditional ole'americana diner. By the time it was 8:00 pm, it got busy with people of all ages and races. I think it was just the only place open at that time near GSU. My advice: If you go: don't order anything special on the menu. Order what they're used to making because it will probably be the freshest and tastiest. Don't order anything fancy, they don't know how to make it, and they get flustered. I don't know why it's on their menu but I guess everything goes in diners.

During my visit to Atlanta i stopped for food in this 24 hours diner! it was nice to get breakfast anytime and it was a must visit according to locals. The staff was nice and delivered our order as ordered.

  • Renee R.

I'm surprised the reviews aren't higher. It's a typical diner, which I mean in the best way possible: it's a large, unpretentious but clean space with a varied menu (including a full bar) and the breakfast I had was surprisingly cheap and tasty (a $6 breakfast special that included eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, and coffee?? a bargain downtown).

    (4)
  • Andy M.

Can I give this zero stars? No. Still, this is the shittiest breakfast I've ever had in my life. The food here is shittier than Yelp's service, which is hard to trump. Somehow Landmark does it. Yelp and landmark -- partners in shit.

This use to be a great place to go. But my last two visits was less than average. I ordered a gyro and got salad in bread barley any meat at all. Just recently went for lunch and ordered country fried steak and got pork instead. When I made them aware of the mix up in my order the manager tried to tell me that white meat pork was country fried steak. My wife food was cold. I was blown away that the manager would even try to convince me that steak was now the other white meat! So I didn't eat and my wife paid 14 dollars for cold chicken nuggets and fries. What a waste. We will never go back again.

I guess I should have checked Yelp before dining here. But they were really close to my hotel, and the Manager I spoke with earlier in my stay was so friendly, I wanted to give the place a shot. I dropped in after check out. I was sat immediately. My server arrived after I had arranged my bags and settled in. They have a country friend steak with eggs and hash browns item which I just had to try! They have decent coffee; nothing to write home about....but not swill. But my meal arrived within about three minutes time....but I ordered a fried item........ Everything was okay. The steak was on the small side. Fried well. But obviously fried ahead and kept under a warmer. The gravy was okay. The eggs were quite fluffy and silky...though you can tell they put milk or pancake batter in them to help with volume/texture. The hash browns were hash browns. The rye toast was decent. They only had grape jelly and one lone marmalade on the table. Basically nothing I couldn't make as well or better at home. But the real kicker is something I didn't notice until I reviewed my receipts later in the day. They charged me $15.99 for that meal. Being from NYC, I didn't even think to bat an eyelash at paying $23 (including tax and tip) for a breakfast out. But, in truth, the dish I ordered should have been $12.99, as it was listed on both the paper menu I took the day before, and the real menu from which I had just ordered. And it was listed as what I ordered, but just the wrong item put on the receipt. Shady, y'all. I really can't help feeling like a tourist who was purposefully duped. And for relatively bland food which isn't cooked to order? Doubt I'd ever give them another shot, even with the quality service and spacious setting.

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday Morning, we were sat right away and they took our orders as soon as we were ready. The food came out shockingly quick and it was soooo delicious! The Pancakes were yummy! If I ever catch myself in Atlanta again, I'll make sure to stop by.

This place is definitely not the best food on the block (literally) and is one of my least favorite in the area. The food is disappointing. The first time I was here, I had the matzah ball soup, a side of turkey sausage, turkey bacon, and some chicken wings. The wings were not good. The sauce was light and the wings were weirdly cut so that all of them had a pointy bone sticking out which prevented one from eating wings the way they usually are eaten. The turkey bacon resembled ham. The turkey sausages weren't too bad. The second time I was here, I had the chichen gyro and some fries. The fries were tasteless. The chicken was very dry and there was too much shredded lettuce in the wrap. The only thing I really think this place has that's good are the desserts. My coworker usually brings me a slice of cake from there and it's very good. Other than that, their other stuff is very plain and boring.

This Landmark Diner is so close to my school, its literally right around my building. I didn't notice this Diner much though because its right behind the school building so I had to walk around to see it. I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon to grab lunch with my classmate. They look fairly busy. The waiter was nice and seated us immediately. Also got our drinks so we didn't have to wait long. I ordered the egg Benedict and my friend ordered the two giant hot dogs. The two giant hot dogs were their lunch specials (7.99$) and it comes with french fries. It's also a chili hot dog not just a regular hot dogs. My egg Benedict was good but the sauce on top I wasn't a fan of. The hot dogs were a little salty but still good according to my friend. Overall, service was quick and they offer breakfast 24 hours a day, Price is reasonable and good portion. So whenever I am done with class or early morning class and want breakfast I would stop in here again. :)

This place scrapes it in for three stars because of the service. I ordered ham and cheese omelette and I don't think it was. I think it was that lamb gyro meat stuff and cheese. I just wasn't sure and by the time I was convinced it was I'd half finished it and it is hard to send it back then (isn't it?) although I was tasting it for the rest of the day. I'd be willing to give them another shot because, as I say, the service was pleasant and chatty and efficient. Without that I'd bump it to one star.

As a Brooklynite, my idea of a diner is not-quite-this, but Landmark is an okay place, kind of leaning more towards what we call a 'coffee shop' in NY. I ordered chicken salad on lightly toasted rye -- happily, the bread came out just as I asked -- and my husband had tuna salad. The kitchen is heavy-handed with mayo, but nonetheless the sandwiches are fine. (At these prices, they should be! Landmark isn't cheap!) I wouldn't go out of my way to return, but if I have time to kill, as I did recently, I'd stop in for a bite. For what it's worth, people at the neighboring table had a more appetizing spread than our's: a reuben sandwich that looked yummy, and thick slices of french toast, made I think from challah. (Diners generally do a good job with breakfast.)

Oh dear God I don't think I've ever had food this bad in my life! This is what I imagine prison food tastes like. And on top of that it's expensive. We went because it was late and the only thing open near the hotel. Jeers to the Courtyard for recommending the place BTW. Little did we know there were 2 Waffle Houses in the area where we coould have eaten for about 1/4 the price and likely better results. This place screwed up a typical American breakfast so I can't imagine what they'd do to something more complicated. Please please please do yourself a favor and stay away!

INSERT SOUNDS OF ERRORS AND FIRE ALARMS HERE Here I am, visiting Atlanta, and there's a huge convention in town. I want to stay away from the masses, so decide for a low key meal. Diner sounds just right. Right? Wrong. What an awful and complete fail this place was. From the time I walked in to the time I left, service was slow and confused. After sitting down, and waiting longer that I should (place was not crowded, less than people in the place), the waitress comes by. I order a Sweet Tea, cause I'm in Atlanta. It was terrible. Just sickening sweet, and it tasted artificial, like instant iced tea. I order blackened grouper and also ask for a Greek Salad. The waitress tells me she'll substitute my vegetables for the salad. Well, that's not really what I asked for. She's genuinely confused, so I figure the Greek Salad will be enough and say "ok". She also tells me my entrée will be served with mashed potatoes. My meal gets served. Seriously? She drops off my plates, says "Is rice ok?"...not asks, and then leaves. Then I take a look. Where do I begin? The first offense. My fish is not blackened right. It's a fish fillet of some sort, but definitely not grouper. And, definitely not blackened correctly. The blackening mix is glistening with oil or butter. The fish is catfish. Rice pilaf, over buttery, is ok. Now, onto the salad. Greek? Didn't I ask for Greek? Black olives, not kalamata. Huge chunks of white onion, not red. And a dressing on the side that is yellow. YELLOW. I taste it with the fork, some sickening sweet vinaigrette. I finish my meal. Meanwhile, aforementioned waitress has not stopped by and is nowhere in sight. I get up, find her, and ask her for the bill and a menu. I check..yep, there's catfish on there. I tell the Manager I'll pay for blackened catfish, but not blackened grouper. He apologies, and takes $4 off my bill (more than the difference). I'll give him that, at least he tried to make up for the experience. And while this is going on, the waitress is standing there and says "I didn't do anything wrong." Man, was I tempted to bypass a tip for her. What a mess my meal and service experience was. Worthy of one star and a warning.

Ive been here a handful of times but the last experience was a lot better than I gave it credit for. My beau and I met another couple here for brunch before heading to a bridal show. He had fish and grits and I had hasbrowns, eggs and turkey bacon. It was really good! His fish was seasoned to perfection and so was my turkey bacon! I had to take the rest home. It was too much to finish. Bad move tho. Its not nearly as good re-heated. But we will def visit again soon. The prices were a little high tho.

The service was quick and friendly, however the Cuban Panini had many pepperoni slices and only a couple of picked in the sandwich. Overall the food was not worth the price, but if other places around the area are busy, this place is serviceable

I landed in ATL around midnight and pulled into the Hampton Inn. I needed some grub before going to sleep and they told me about this all night diner. Expectations were low. However, I found the service here great. Was happy with the food. Environment was clean. Anything else needed from a restaurant at 1 in the morning?

My friend took me recently to the Landmark Diner for dinner, since he'd driven past the bright neon a thousand times without ever going in before. We arrived fairly late on a Thursday night (after 8 PM) and although the parking lot was almost entirely full, the restaurant was fairly empty. If you can tell me where all the people were whose cars were occupying the spaces I'll be impressed. So we entered the glowing neon palace to be greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us in one of the plush booths immediately. She gave us menus, pointed out the dinner specials on the front (almost all of which were fish), and gave us a few minutes to choose. Without a doubt, Landmark has one of the largest and most varied menus I've seen at a diner, and I've seen a few in my day. They had dishes ranging from meatloaf to Jewish cabbage to Thai chicken to moussaka and beyond. Basically whatever you might want (short of something healthy, of course), the menu probably had (there was even champagne available). Slightly overwhelmed with all the choices, we finally asked our waitress what her favorites were. She sold us on the Greek Combination dinner - it was a dinner big enough for two (although we STILL had a good deal of leftovers) that had a sampling of moussaka, spanakopita, pastichio, taramosalata, grape leaves, feta cheese, gyro meat and wedges of tomato and cucumbers served with pita bread. Yes, quite a sampler, and it came with salads before hand with more tomatoes, cucumbers, feta and pepperoncini. The spanakopita was very good (flaky, hot and full of spinach and cheese), the moussaka was also pretty tasty and the pastichio (although it could have used more marinara sauce) was good. The pita was warm and when layered with some tatziki sauce and the gyro meat was quite good. And as I said before, we got a LOT of food for the two of us. It wasn't the best Greek cuisine I've ever had, but it wasn't the worst by a long shot. And even though we didn't have room for dessert, the sampler case of towering bakes and pies that greet you upon arrival looked scrumptious. I could be tempted to go back sometime just for dessert - I mean, there were literally cookies as large as my face! Ginormous! There were also a lot more dishes on the menu I might be intrigued to try if I return. When you need Mom's meatloaf at 3 AM, where else would you go? Not Waffle House, that's for sure.

Escoffier would stab himself in the eye after eating here - unless it was 4am and he was trying to sober up from a night of sipping vodka and snorting 8-balls at Magic City. The food seems to have been trucked in from the Atlanta Food Bank, and the prices dictated by the World Bank. This may be the first restaurant on the world scene to be spiritually concomitant with the real estate shenanigans that precipitated the US recession. Overpriced junk propped up by delirium.

Try to come before 11 for $8 for big 8 breaksfast! The place was the first day of my full visit of Atlanta and decide to try this place at the suggestion of the hotel where i am staying. I like what I am seeing on the menu. Hard to decided. I went ahead to order Western Omelette with hashbrown along with grits. Once the food arrived, it looks good. However the taste of hashbrown needs a little salt to taste right and the grits looking like a grits soup. I don't know why. At least i add little salt but it didn't help at all. I would say Landmark Diner is clean but the food is not so bad.

Twas chance that brought me to The Landmark Diner! I had just left court in downtown Atlanta and was trying to focus on a call I was on, so when i saw a car pull out of the metered parking I swooped in to grab the spot. While on the phone I noticed the diner, put a couple quarters in the meter, and went in to continue the call and grab a quick breakfast. Service was super, fast and friendly. I ordered a coffee and a Peasant Omelet (avocados, tomatoes, and Swiss cheese) and a coffee. The coffee was average, nothing to exciting. The omelet was served with toast and hash browns, and was brought out quick. Overall the omelet was okay, maybe a bit too done. My bill for breakfast was $9.16, with tip, over $11, which was a bit much, since I have had much better, cheaper. The decor was simple, traditional diner and I love eating at a window next to a downtown street so the experience was pleasant, and again the service was spot on for my visit. There is a quote by Henri Nouwen "It is by chance that we met, by choice that we became friends." Well it was chance that led me to The Landmark Diner, but I probably won't choose to return any time soon.

Went before work for a business meeting one day. Overnight menu was still in effect, which was very limited. Hoped to snag a real lox & cream cheese bagel, but it was not on the abbreviated menu. Had to settle for plain old ham and eggs instead. Good for a diner, but nothing to write home about. The coffee was particularly disappointing. Also, southern breakfast places need to start carrying iced coffee. It's not that hard. You can actually use the coffee you brewed the day before.

Okay THIS PLACE WAS JUST UGH... My best friend Nakia and I was just leaving a concert and I have this APP on my BLACKBERRY called WHERE. With this APP it had a built in YELP. So I did a GPS location to the closes RESTAURANT and we landed here. Once we go in it was VERY HOT.. The air conditioner was broke and I can tell this was going to be one hell of a night. The place look old and stinky. After carefully scanning the menu I order the Turkey dinner with Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Carrots, Broccoli, and Cauliflower and Mash Potatoes. Very horrible, I force my self to eat this disgusting meal on earth called food. It was lukewarm, I had to tell my server to place reheat this or do something. So without a doubt he did. So i didn't eat my whole meal. I purchased a cheesecake and it was alright. but you can tell it was in the refrigerator for a minute. I wouldn't recommend this slum place. It sits in the right area because it's alot of nasty ppl downtown.

Ok...I want to start of by saying I am not cheap. But after they bought the bill for 65 bucks I lost it. Here's why: I ordered breakfast at 6 pm. No way they could screw that up right. Wrong! I had pancakes that were ok, bacon that was cooked days ago, hashbrowns were fresh, a biscuit that was clearly microwaved and rubberized. Not happy at all. My wife order the lasagna and it looked like it was made with a meat paste not ground beef. She was disgusted by smell and taste. I will never return again to this place. And then after complaining no manager came by to apologize or just say hello. Terrible customer service. Don't waste your money or time.

The food is mediocre and OVERPRICED. Seriously, what is up with the three and four stars other yelpers are dishing out? Russian-accented waitress Natasha was so slow and she efficiently screwed my order. After she seated us, she took her sweet time and returned twelve minutes later to take our order. Really Natasha? Twenty five minutes after that, our food arrives and I'm thinking, why is this happening at 1:30 am on an early Monday morning? Be very careful and read your bill. The Landmark Diner adds an "automatic gratuity" on the weekends. Granted they advertise this in the top corner of their menus, it still stinks because even when their service is crap, you still end up tipping your server whether you want to or not! Landmark Diner, I was not impressed with your food, service or waitstaff at this location, so get over yourself already!

Went here with four friends for lunch. that night all four of us had food poisoning. We were part of a group of 80 people attending an event at the Renaissance Concourse. No one else got sick in that whole group...so we are pretty sure it was food from here. We reported to the Health department but don't know if they will checkin or not.

Good food, good service and fun atmosphere. Haven't been in a while since my daughter no longer attends Georgia State. Would go again if in the area. Great for the whole family and very reasonably priced!

Dear landmark diner, Thank u for serving me cold toast, undercooked hash browns, and fried eggs when i asked for eggs over easy. I will make sure that I don't come back here next time I am in Atlanta.

I'm from northern NY, and suffered sticker shock at this place. I went to the Landmark for breakfast this morning. 2 eggs, any style: $4.95!?? Not just high, the pricing is wildly inconsistent. The eggs alone are 5 bucks, but Eggs Benedict is $10.95, which is what I expect to pay for that particular dish. Glass of OJ: $3.00. Yeesh. I understand that their overhead in a major metropolitan downtown area is probably quite steep, but wow... The best deal on the breakfast menu was the breakfast sandwich: 2 eggs, bacon, and cheese on toasted bread with hashbrowns: $6.95. It was YUMMY. I happen to love the decor...kind of at 60s art deco fusion going on. Service was fine.

All put together this is a solid choice for any time, although the menu is a bit confusing (specials) and their staff could be more attentive. The food was good, and came in a timely manner. The location is convenient if you live or work downtown or around Peachtree center, but the inside is a bit grungy. Decent food, if a bit over priced for the area they're in.

I went to the Landmark Diner with a friend who raved about and it goes here on a regular basis. At first glance, the interior looks like any other diner, with quaint decor. Alright, I'm ready for diner food. Upon reading the menu, diner food is not what you really get. There are a lot of Greek and Italian options, and a lot of fried options. I ended up getting the fried catfish with mashed potatoes. The food was less than stellar, but still not bad, and the portions were huge. While the staff seemed decently friendly, the service was very slow. Usually, I would love a place like this, but I left Landmark vastly underwhelmed. I doubt that I will enjoy a return visit, unless I'm with the friend who brought me there to begin with.

The five stars comes for the service, although I'll say that that breakfast sandwich I had was also quite good... And they got the cheese grits almost perfect (I will hurt someone who screws up good cheese grits- especially in the south. I'm serious.) It was about 7 AM on New Year's Day, and I walked into the front door alone in a haze. Last day in Atlanta, and I was up hours before everyone else because needed to drive back to DC in 5 hours with less than 4 hours of sleep under my belt. I have never had a waitress be so cheerfully kind or so appropriately attentive. Despite the fact that she herself had been working a graveyard shift, every time my coffee approached low or my water needed a refill she was immediately there with a smile and a nice comment. It is expensive, but not horribly so. And really, its awesome to find such great service.

I love diners. In college, I spent more hours than I can count in the Atlanta Diner on North Druid. Seriously, the people who worked there all knew me. What I do NOT love is Landmark Diner. First of all, the pricing is high compared to other (and better) diners in the Atlanta. If you want high-end diner fare, why not save your pennies and go somewhere like Buckhead Diner? As for plain, honest-to-goodness unpretentious diner food, there are a ton of tastier places you can find it. Prior to my last experience there, I would have given Landmark 2 or 3 stars. However, last time I ate there, I ordered a Greek salad. The tzaziki sauce was bland, tasteless, and WARM. Warm tzaziki sauce? Seems like kind of a health hazard. And isn't this diner Greek-owned? How do they manage to screw up tzaziki sauce? Soldiering on, I dug into my salad... only to find a HAIR in it. Ewww. And the server was none too pleasant about replacing my food. So not impressed. Do not eat here.

I like diner food, but I didn't really enjoy this place. I paid $12 (with a tip) for a glass of water and eggs benedict. The prices on the breakfast menu were rather high compared to the rest of the menu. I asked for my toast (it was listed as included on the breakfast entrees) and was told that the English muffins counted as the toast. Service was intermittent -- I got served and had one water refill. That's about it. I'm not sure if it was just the lunch rush or not. It was definitely packed at lunch, but not 100% at capacity. I MAY give it another chance and try one of the sandwiches, but not if I leave sans $12 and still feeling hungry.

I came here with a friend for the first time last Sunday after the event at King Plow. I was very excited because I love diners. I love the fact there are generally a lot of options on the menu and I love the grease that comes along with it. Bring it on! However, I was a little disappointed in the prices. Maybe I was expecting something I shouldn't have been but to me this place was higher than it should have been. There was a breakfast 'deal' you could get with two eggs, your choice of meat, potatoes and toast all for the low cost of $14.99. I have looked at their menu online because I wanted to be precise but I do not see it, but it was on the menu at this location. I about crapped. $14.99. Really? No thanks. So I continue to scope out the menu and settle for the biscuits and gravy. They were kind of weird. If anyone else has had them please let me know if the sausage in yours was mushy. The consistency was just odd. My friend got the egg salad BLT which is not $6.99 as it states on their online menu. I believe it was somewhere around $9.99 or something close to that. The service was ok so no complaints there. I just did not think the food deserved the high prices that were reflected on the menu.

I live around the corner from the Landmark and have been a regular since it opened. Like any regular patron, I've learned the menu by heart and found that, all in all, the Landmark does far more things right than it does wrong. The staff are all courteous and unobtrusive, the portions generous and the burgers are really terrific. I love this place.

24-hour diner. I went for breakfast and had the eggs benedict with homefries and coffee. My bill was $15. The benedict was extremely traditional - english muffin, canadian bacon, poached eggs and a hearty hollandaise - no complaints here. The homefries were a bit underseasoned and weren't particularly memorable. Coffee was fresh and strong enough for my taste. Service was good. Seems like a good choice at 3 in the morning when nothing else is open.

Landmark Diner Vibe I don't know if it is the South, Atlanta or just downtown Atlanta, but someone celebrates The streets of downtown were almost empty, most of the stores and restaurants were closed. The Landmark was open, one of the few open on Sunday afternoon. So it checks the box in terms of hours, and it also hits the spot in terms of service. Service staff was nice, typical American non-fast food staff - pleasant and polite. This is not an old school diner, its the modern new agey diner that tries to recreate the old school feel. Many, most, old diners have a weird smell and well worn fittings. The landmark has neither, it is bright and airy kinda like the restaurant on "Saved by the Bell" or any other formulaic sitcom. There is a disconnect between the inside and the outside of the Landmark Diner, from the outside it appears old and weather beaten. Like Manory's in Troy, but more profitable and cleaner. Food I was hungry after spending a hour looking for restaurants, most of which were closed. Hungry and thirsty, I purchased the Greek burger from the Landmark diner. It was pricey, U$8+, it was quick, it took them less than 10 minutes from order to food. The meal was so so, the burger was tasty but nothing worth nothing. The bun was fresh, and the best part of the meal. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh from the fridge and tasted that way. And the fries were typical restaurant style frozen fries. Tasted good because I was hungry but all told nothing to write home about.

Dinner before the Hawks vs. Nets game! =) We had the bacon burger and the wings. How should I put it? Despite how I skipped breakfast and lunch through out a hectic insanely busy work day, starved of course, but the food just wasn't that good... The burger was tasteless and the wings were dry. Sorry, I wish I could've given it a better review...

I've been here a few times now and I'm always disappointed. The wait staff is always in a bad mood and unfriendly, but more importantly the food is underwhelming considering all those cakes look amazing. It's one of the only breakfast places downtown and I was in search of some biscuits and gravy one morning. It tasted like it was cooked in garlic and the sausage in the gravy was link sausage. Not exactly your momma's southern cooking...unless you're Polish. Lastly the bacon sucked. I'm not sure how you mess up bacon but it actually didn't taste good and neither did the coffee. It was very watered down. I've been for lunch before and it was decent but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The one good thing is breakfast is cheap.

This place is awesome, especially for large groups. Twice a year, I take 15 high schoolers there. We're served quickly with good food. I've tried the omelets, which were good, and the Greek food, which is spectacular. The Landmark Diner serves the best spanakopita and moussaka that I've ever had. I've never been to a high-brow Greek restaurant or to Greece, but I do go to Greek restaurants and diners regularly. It should be noted that, though the service is (extremely) fast and friendly, the prices are not diner-level. This is more of a sit-down restaurant with a diner ambience. Considered that way, the food is delicious and copious, and the prices reasonable.

Greasy spoon, with low quality food, slightly high prices, ok service, and nice (for what it is) people watching. If it's late and you are with the party crowd (after midnight) then it's a good spot to go, outside of that find somewhere else.

I love places that are open 24 hours a day. I come here late at night and order breakfast. The food is good. I've never had a problem with service. There aren't many options at 4 in the morning but this is a good choice.

9 AM. Just flew in from DC via BWI on 3 hrs sleep. Waiting for 10 am mtg to start when I stumble in. Clean, fast, courtious service. Had cornbeef hash, 2 eggs over easy, fresh tomatoes inlieu of grits. Food well prepared & fresh. For a local neighborhood all-nite diner; a 1st rate experience.

I've eaten at several Landmark Diner locations. Each time the food was pretty mediocre. Everything tastes like it's been frozen at some point. What really tripped me up though, was not the food but the jerk at the Luckie Street location. I wandered in, and asked if I could fill up my water bottle, and he gave me this shit-eating grin and says "Yeah, for fifty cents." Are you kidding me?! What a cheap bastard. And I'm not some homeless person looking for a freebie, I am what could be a potential customer. I know lots of people in this town, and I will be sure to steer them away from this joint.

The food was prepared to order. Very nice, but expensive breakfast. The place itself is a disaster! There is plenty of old food under the booths, along with straw wrappers, napkins, and dirty mop remnants. The worst and most disgusting bathrooms are right here in downtown Atlanta. My 4 year old grandson refused to use the bathroom . Looks like it may have been cleaned last century. We won't be back until the Health Department forces a cleanup. Sorry, it's that bad.

I attend Georgia State Univerity. Landmark is sort of attached to one of the school buildings. I went there with my best friend and we Both thought the experience was AWFUL!! We sat down and order our drinks. It took our waitress 10 mins to come back with drinks and get our order in. We both ordered the Cheeseburger and Fries. It costed so much!!! LANDMARK, Y'all are by a COLLEGE!! College kids dont wont to pay that much for burger and fries! Anyway, It took 20 mins for our food to come and my plate of food looked different from my friend's. She had different fries that were crispier and tasted way better than mines and my burger was well instead of medium well. The waitress was sort of rude and NOT ONCE after we got our food did she ask are we okey or do we need anything!! After we were done with our food, we waited for our check. And waited............and waited.........and waited.......about 20 mins later I got up and went to the manager and HE DIDNT CARE!!!!! He was like, well she's very busy... BULL!!!!! She was checking on everybody else BUT US!!! Tip for her??? HAHA!!!!!! NEVER WILL I GO HERE AGAIN!!!!

4:30 this AM I found myself with my best friend discussing life. We had club hopped like pros and now it was time to eat. I decide a Reuben with corned beef sounds like a good healthy breakfast. This was served with (after hours of chatting) 5 cups of coffee. It was fun, a bit loud, great people watching. Food was fine, typical diner fare. Sure beat any waffle house or IHOP!

Delicious, huge slices of cake. I would not go out of my way for the food though. I can't get over the mold I had in my applesauce, but man, that cake is sure good. Go for the cake!

It's hard for me to figure out how this Landmark Diner can be so much better than the original location in Buckhead. It's the same menu, the same exorbitant prices, and the same atmosphere....and yet somehow I would actually recommend eating here whereas I would direct people away from the Buckhead location. Maybe it's the service...Maybe it's the fact that it's a walking destination and not a driving destination....Maybe it's the 24 hour meal availability in a part of town where everything closes early...Maybe it's the fact that I typically go here after seeing something at the Rialto that already has me in a good mood...I can't explain it. But give it a shot if you're around Farlie-Poplar and need some coffee and a quick meal.

This is a convenience kind of place. Excellent breakfast food with a great staff. Some dishes are much better than others - is my nice way of reviewing the food options here. I'm a semi-regular here because I work nearby - the folks who work there are really nice. They do not skimp on the food portions. They gave me a free, very cool dessert to try today. So, I'm giving them 4 stars for just being a bunch of nice gals and guys. 3.5 stars would be more accurate.

  • Rilindo F.

Unlike the other Landmark diners, this place seems to have better food. I am not sure why that's the case, since I believe they are owned by the same people. Wierd. At any event, they do serve good breakfast (love their French Toast). And their Chicken Kebab is quite tasty - it wasn't soaked in some teriyaki gunk like what the other landmark did with theirs. It does get busy during lunch hour, but the wait isn't too bad (around 10 minutes or so). And it's open 24 hours, so if you out partying and you are in part of town, you can stop by there for a quick bite.

It took three years to have a waiter assigned, but the at least the food was decent (but I guess anything is decent after you've had too much to drink and you're about to eat your own hand at 4:00 a.m.) Also, there was plenty to choose from on the menu, and it wasn't loud or overcrowded inside.

Landmarks of a feather do not flock together! So obvious that this location is way better managed and staffed than the Cheshire Bridge location. We stopped in here after a late night @ the Mark Ultralounge and were seated immediately. Our server was super friendly and promptly addressed all of our requests. Food was good diner food, coffee was good, great ambiance...now if these people could go show the other Landmark diners how to run things...

Landmark Diner.....when I first went to this place I was like what the hell?! It was late, Landmark is open 24 hours, provides some local entertainment after the club LOL. It's not so bad! The food is pretty damn good - LOVE THE CHICKEN FINGERS and the service is good as well. It's a neat little spot tucked away in downtown.....I'm sure I'll frequent this spot more often once summer rolls around!

Great diner located in downtown Atlanta near where I work. Landmark is part of a local chain and has always done a great job with breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night food. The wait at the Luckie Street location can be long at lunch due to the proximity of Georgia State and tons of office buildings but you can usually be in-and-out of there in under an hour. Sometimes the specials can be a little spotty but all-in-all the food is very good.

Was here Saturday morning 11/21 for breakfast. A greasy spoon, and a little dirty, so if you're a clean freak don't come here. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, but our plates and flatware were fine. I came here just for the corned beef and hash with eggs, and the only thing I'd ask is for them to cook the corned beef hash a little more as I like mine crispy. I got the home fries and wheat toast with it, all in all pretty good. Ordered some sausage for the side and out came 3 pretty hefty links (not your typical Denny's sausage). All that and a glass of OJ and left very full. My girlfriend just had a side of corned beef hash and water, and our bill was at 20$. Little pricey for what it was, but we were prepared for that from the last review I read here. I can definitely see this place as being the 3am stop after a night of drinking. The menu looked pretty good all around. The parking isn't very plentiful (all street or lot) and it's going to cost anywhere from 2$ for the meters to get 1hr, or 5$'ish to park in a lot.

Horrible please do not waste your time! Server sucked, he kept running in and out of the restaurant also he seemed like he was mad at life. The food score was hidden under the counter. Wilted lettuce in my salad. Not a good experience at all.

Cheese sticks either suffered freezer burn or were cooked in week old oil. Marinara was incredibly thin and watery. Meat loaf and vegetables tasted like they were straight out of the deep freezer. If you don't care about taste the portions were ample and the prices high--just like the other places downtown.

Morning from hell trying to find a diner to eat at ended with Landmark. The restaurant had a great atmosphere to it but no air conditioning. I probably lost ten pounds in water weight just by dining here. The food was very reasonably priced and tasty though. I would recommend this place on a cooler day to anyone. Except if you go there and get a waiter who's name I think is Lake, tall white skinny guy with dinosaur looking arms, I suggest you ask for a different waiter. He talked to us as if he had practiced his lines for this job. He asked if we were all set and when we asked for something else he was so thrown off he had to stop and think about his response. Im not sure about you but I prefer my waiter with a little less pot on the brain and a little more common sense and people skills.

The best things about this place are, it's open 24/7 and the manager that did not charge me for the burger. The Burger was medium but tasted like a dried out meatloaf to me. And the fries were hot but tasted like it was cooked in old oil.

We ate here after a fail somewhere else. We picked up chicken and waffles and a Greek salad to go and ate it in our nearby hotel room. Both were better than we expected. Usually I prefer crunchy waffles but the soft one actually worked with the chicken. The chicken was not breaded but crispy. Had the buffalo sauce and syrup on the side...mixed them all together on my plates because I like flavors mixed together. Syrup was fake flavored corn syrup. Greek salad had a 1 inch layer of feta, passable olives and decent tomato. Very typical diner food but hit the spot when it was late and we were hungry and wanted dinner fast.

Everything was just so far below any bar that anyone would set. Food was grossly under seasoned. No flavor to speak of, waitress was horrible, and even when we had a manager come over, he was the rudest person on this earth. Never coming again.

If it wasn't for our ghetto a** waitress, I could've given this place a really great review. It's pretty clean and big. It's nice but the waitress we had was a little much. I hate when black people think it's okay to talk to their black customers like we don't deserve top notch service. She was popping her gums and using foul language in front of us like we were friends. It was just bad. I'll go again, hopefully I'll have better service.

Nothing landmark about this dump! I ended up here b/c it was about 3:30am and this was about the only option that was open... The food was subpar... The drinks were subpar.... When the waitress served my drinks, the drink was spilling unto her hand which had me cringing.. The place could and should be kept cleaner..... The pricing is on par with a top notch diner, which I find very astonishing considering that its below average food n service.... --------- It's a cool place to watch the club-goers come in late at night n I've had worse food elsewhere, so the meals are edible... Note: This place should ONLY be a LAST resort option. There seriously needs to be a grading system for food spots in Atlanta... --I'm a germaphobe and there are things that had me concerned after eating here........... 1.7 stars

I needed something when I arrived to eat that was close to my Holiday Inn express. The hotel recommended this location. I loved it and the food was severed fresh and hot. All though I had not been here before I asked the server what was good. He recommended that I try Hot pastrami with onion rings. The hot pastrami came with sour crote on the sandwich. I was not sure when it arrived but it made a fan out of me. WOW was it good. I would order it again.

Arrived in Atlanta for business and had a day of leisure when I first arrived. I met a friend from South Carolina at Turner Field and we decided to have lunch at The Landmark Diner since we were craving different foods. When we first walked in, we weren't greeted for almost 4 minutes. We were finally seated, and didn't see our server for 10 more minutes. When he took our drink order, it was 10 more minutes before he brought our drinks back (sweet tea, coca cola). When we were ready to order, our server was nowhere to be found. Another man, maybe the owner or manager, finally walked past and we flagged him down. The food was mediocre, and definitely overpriced for the quality. Overall, it was quite meh. If you have 2 hours to kill, go here and wait for service.

It's an inner-city diner, whaddya want? Solid fare. Warm food, which is very welcome on a cold and windy, wintry night. (Especially if you've just taken in a show at the Rialto across the street.) Food is fresh, and service is fast. You may not find a culinary masterpiece here, but you will find solid food that tastes good. Plus, it's open 24 hours a day.

I HAD TO DO THIS REVIEW! I rarely give a restaurant one star but Landmark Diner worked REALLY hard for this one. A couple of my friends and I were in the area and decided to try something new (I mean you can't go to Waffle House everyday, right??) so we stopped in Landmark where there were only a few customers. Everything on the menu looked great, my friends ordered pancakes and I ordered a waffle. Now the problem came about when our food hit the table. As one of my friends cut up her pancake she dug a fly out of the inside of it. I seriously thought she was playing until i saw it for myself covered in batter. We called over the waitress who took the food over to the manager while I did a little happy dance for choosing waffles instead. Well the happy dance ended abruptly as a bit into my waffle because it had a sour after taste... from my experiences belgian waffles are not sour. So now we all have a problem with our food. 10 minutes has gone by since the waitress took the food over to the manager who we could see just hanging out at the hostess stand and he never made a move to come over an apologize or anything. So I went up to him and told him we had a problem with our food. "Yeah, the bug landed on it?" was his response... so if you know about the problem, wouldn't it be good customer service to come to the table and apologize??? I told him about the situation with my waffle and that he should check the batter and we stated he would make one and try it. 15 minutes later he has still not come to the table. Finally he shows up with another waffle in which I didn't ask for and when asked why he didn't come over sooner and instead of saying sorry, had the audacity to say that there was no bug in my friends food, that it landed on the plate. What??? We are trying to explain how she cut open her pancakes and found it but he continued to talk over us and not considering that the fly got in the batter. When my friend brought up the fact that we were paying customers and to not get an apology but to call us liars was unprofessional he literally said "Your not paying customers". Well we took this as our cue to leave WITHOUT paying. I have been in the restaurant business for 11 years and never seen nor heard of such unprofessional behavior by a manager. I will NEVER eat there again for sure.

More like 3.5 stars - right around the corner and a block down from my hotel - The Residence Inn on Peachtree. Had dinner here - decided to check out the meatloaf and mashed potatoes - with a generous dose of a hearty beef and mushroom gravy on both the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, plus a side of sauteed vegetables: Zuchinni, Yellow Squash, Carrots, Broccoli, and Cauliflower, plus an ice cold Diet Coke. The amount of food served up is humongous! I added some black pepper to the gravy, meatloaf, and mashed potatoes before digging in. Overall, a solid diner-grade meatloaf and mashed potatoes - not the best I've had, but filling and good. The veggies were also very good. I simply could not finish the meal. I ate all of the meatloaf - but left some of both the mashed potatoes and veggies. Service was attentive - although my server could have been a little friendlier - no smiles. The diner is huge! Very expansive inside. Lots of large flat screen HD screens throughout the place. It's right across the street from Georgia State University - so I'm sure it gets a lot of student visits. Open 24 hours a day!

Never knew this place existed right around the corner outside of the Georgia State University's Aderhold Center. Went here with some friends after exams to grab a bite and drinks. We had a fairly big group, but the manager accommodated a place for us to dine. Good service! I ordered a philly cheese steak with fries. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waitress was pretty awesome too. She made sure we had everything we needed; very attentive. Again, good service! Other than that, I shall be returning to try our the rest of the extensive menu. They have literally everything. Items for brunch, dessert, burgers, gyros, lunch specials, seafood, steak, etc. Neat place.

So I was on a Diner marathon for the past few months, and Landmark is definitely towards the top of the list. parking is on the street or in one of the paid lots. To be fair, I didn't choose this place, but I was lucky enough to score an informational interview with an amazing man downtown and this was his choice. It's a good choice for a safe bet because the all american food will satisfy most customers. Service was good, food came quick-ish, but it was just all right. However, for the $8 lunch special, you get a large amount of food...if that's what you want. Yet in a city with an already high prevalence of obesity and diabetes I'm usually saddened by huge portions, but that's a personal thing. I think fewer choices done really well would make this diner better. No need to be an Applebees.

I've been a Georgia State grad student, on and off, for the majority of the last decade and long enough to remember when the ONLY 24-hour food option in the area was the Grady at McDonald's (possibly the worst Micky D's in the world or at least the strangest). This has of course changed recently with a flood of new student housing and food options including a campus-based Waffle House (thankfully), but my favorite 24-hour location near campus is still the Landmark Diner. I remember when it opened - 2005 or 2006 - and how it used to be a great spot for doing homework, reading articles and just for all-nighters. I got to know the manager pretty well and like many of the other diners in the city, he was from Bulgaria. We chatted in Russian a few times and he always seemed happy to see me and I always got a place to sit. I visited recently and was happy to see that the food quality was still high, but like most late-night haunts in ATL, the best part is the ambience. The food is good, but you go to diners more to be entertained by the sheer randomness of the clientele, which combined with 12 free refills of Diet Coke, is enough to keep any grad student awake.

Food and service were great! Ambience is as expected for a diner. It was convenient to my hotel and thought I would stop in. Glad I did. I would recommend it as long as you understand this is a diner experience.

Ehhhhh. Food was alright. Convenient to the airport. No issues. Will probably just go to waffle house next time.

Horrible please do not waste your time! Server sucked, he kept running in and out of the restaurant also he seemed like he was mad at life. The food score was hidden under the counter. Wilted lettuce in my salad. Not a good experience at all.

Diner food done right! Great menu, decent prices, great variety! Their inlets and deserts are my favorites at Landmark!

Good comfort food and shakes. Convenient to local arts, Rialto and Theatrical Outfit. Open 24 hrs, awesome.

Super great food! Boyfriend and I enjoyed the breakfast very much! Not so friendly with the greeting... But the waiter was good.

Poor service. 1+ hour for soup and grilled cheeses. Other half of our group seated at other table served much faster than us. Over priced for type and quality of food.

Cheese sticks either suffered freezer burn or were cooked in week old oil. Marinara was incredibly thin and watery. Meat loaf and vegetables tasted like they were straight out of the deep freezer. If you don't care about taste the portions were ample and the prices high--just like the other places downtown.
