This is one of the better Mediterranean restaurants in ATL. Maybe that's not saying much, but whatever, it's true. Is the food completely authentic to the point that it makes you feel like you are eating a shawarma in Beirut? Not really, but at least they are trying. To date, I have had the chicken shawarma and shish tawook sandwiches, and both were tasty. One thing that this restaurant has that it's competition doesn't seem to have, are the grilled vegetables as a side. I guess a healthier alternative to your typical side of fries. The prices are very reasonable and the service is good. I'm look forward to returning many times.

Now this is one great place. The food is fresh and flavorful, the portions are generous and the service is just outstanding! While the Entree's are great the sides are great too. The Grilled Veggies are amazing and the Fries have a unique seasoning! Been there twice. The first time ordered a Fish Platter and regretted it when the food came on the table. The portion was huge for me. 3 pieces of grilled Tallapia accompanied by Pita Bread, and Grilled Veggies and Hummus was more than generous for me. The second time ordered Chicken Shawarma with Fries. That was manageable and with great flavors! This will be the spot for everything Mediterranean Food!

Ate here a few times while on a business trip. Would have given it a better rating but on my last trip there found a very large plastic clip in my falafel. Manager/staff didn't really know how to handle it and kept walking away from the problem. Other than the chance of choking-the food tastes good.

Th place is fine. It's a reasonable gyro. Not one to go out of your way for. The place is fast and friendly. On Mondays they have a $5 deal for lunch that's a gyro and fries. It takes this deal to get me in the door. That said I've had it several times so it must be a good deal in my mind.

Very good food! The fish platter with the tzatziki sauce is soo good! The price is reasonable. They could have gave more grilled vegetables. I thought it was too much carrots. They only gave 2 zucchini. The baklava was perfect! It wasn't too sweet and that's the way I like it. :)

Fast casual Mediterranean. The food is good, I had the chicken shawarma and fries. Only deducted one star because the service needs a better system to get food out on time.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this place! Previously a Schlotzkey's that left much to be desired (and this is coming from someone who used to LOVE Schlotzkey's...), this was a much-needed revamp that adds so much to this area. I had the chicken shawarma (hold the pickles) with fries, and it was great. I ordered from the counter at the front, and it came out within 10 minutes. The fries had this really great seasoning on them, and the pita bread was melt in your mouth good. Will definitely be returning to try some of that hummus!

Was recommended this place by a friend and we loved it. We have two boys snd if they love the place and food I always think it deserves a 4 star.. The service and the food both were very good. I ordered the kafta Kabab... It was one of the best I have tasted. If we are in this area this is where I am eating :)

This place is delicious! I haven't tried everything on the menu but everything i've had so far was really delicious. I really like how they season the rice and vegetables. Also it's decently priced!

  • Aashima M.

Loved falafal wrap with fries/veggies on side. Reasonable prices. very quick service. It will look like it won't fill your stomach but once you start having it really is good enough. Plus you get a belly card with which you can add on points and based on your reward points you get free drinks etc. the list is long .

I've been here twice for lunch. First time i went with the server's recommendation and got the Tawook Chicken Platter which was fantastic but a lot of food. This time i got the Kafta pita sandwich and to my surprise it was even better. The grilled veggies are great too. Their meat seasoning is just perfect. Overall great lunch spot and reasonably priced.

Great takeout spot with tables and room enough to dine in if you were so inclined. Standard menu, quick and fresh tasting. Minus one star for booboo with my order - chicken shwarma was packed as beef and I didn't realize it till I got home. Beef shwarma - 4 stars, fish pita 3.8 (4 with hot sauce) Everyone was friendly enough, and the place smelled great!

  • Joy M.

I love this place. I am gluten and dairy free and this restaurant offers great options. I particularly love the falafels. The food is well prepared and well seasoned and is reasonably priced. The portion size is also very generous.

  • Ivan G.

Overall, one of the best places to grab lunch. Their Gyro's are very tasty and meat is always tender. Their veggies are really well prepared, and fries are also surprisingly good. If you come on a Monday, you will get a Gyro meal for $5!

Great place for fast, casual, healthy options. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. I have tried the chicken gyro and the beef shawarma and both were great!

Well, I liked it! Been there twice already. Had chicken shawarma wrap one time and the chicken platter the other time. Husband had gyro platter which was pretty good as well. I guess that's what I will get when I go there next week with my girl friends. I also tried their falafel appetizer - that was decent too but I should have got tzatziki sauce on the side with it. They have catering menu as well and I'm planning to ask my office folks to order lunch from there for our next monthly meeting.

  • Phil N.

Came here for the first time yesterday for lunch. It clean, quick, and good. I got the traditional gyro and it was one of the best gyro I've ever had. It was also a surprise that the traditional gyro is only 5 dollars on Mondays.

I just finished lunch with an old coworker. It was our first time visiting Pita by the Beirut. LET ME TELL YOU....THAT FOOD WAS AWESOME!! The food was so fresh and flavorful. I ordered the Kafta Platter and I finished every bite. No I am not that greedy but it was that good. The platter included one cup of rice, grilled veggies (zucchini), one pita, and the beef, lamb, and hummus. The price was decent, the restaurant was clean and great atmosphere. I will be back.

This is another fast casual restaurant in Dunwoody. We tried the original, the chicken, the fish, and the Nutella wraps along with french fries today and all of them were good, but none were outstanding. Compared to Gyro Gyro, a nearby competitor with some similar choices, the food is better at Gyro Gyro, but Pita by the Beirut clearly spent more money on real estate, decor, and uniforms. Given that this Walmart-anchored shopping center offers consistently disappointing choices like Jason's Deli and Olive Garden along with the overpriced J. Alexander's, I think Pita by the Beirut chose a smart location and will probably do pretty well, but I'll stick with Gyro Gyro when I need my local pita fix. Best things about Pita by the Beirut - their fries and their location. Worst thing about Pita by the Beirut - charging $0.64 for extra sauce after skimping on it in the first place. Come on guys, the wrap is nine bucks. Put enough sauce on it or provide extra when asked without reaching into my pocket.

  • Ritu V.

Food is good, and will keep customers coming back. The service is terrible. Waited for over half an hour for my to-go order today, when there were only about 15 customers in the restaurant, half of whom had their food already. There were a lot of unhappy customers, and seemingly little urgency behind the counter or at the grille. They need to work on staff training but my advice is to go when you have plenty of time to wait, or try to do a call-ahead order.

  • Gaja M.

They have great gyros and Shawarma's. Little disappointed with the portion size for the veggie side. This place is a keeper

  • Didi L.

This was yummy.. I had a traditional gyro with the grilled veggies ( wish I had more of those). The meat was moist, the veggies were well prepared. I truly had no issues. Oh and that pita bread..... my oh my...

Delicious food, large portions, and a great atmosphere make Pita an exciting addition to Dunwoody. There are also vegetarian and gluten free options. We will be back! Very impressed.

Cool new place. Food was fresh non greasy and love the flavors! Their mezze trio is worth trying. The place was clean and very kept up with. Awesome for a quick bite.

This place has great potential and I have been here twice now. The service is relatively quick. The reason why I gave them 3 stars is BC of the food. If you had good Middle Eastern food and are in the mood for good Middle Eastern food, then you your taste buds will be disappointed. The fatoosh salad was definitely not your traditional fatoosh salad....it was just some lettuce, onions, tomatoes and some pita chips slapped together. The gyro sandwiches are a better choice. However, they tend to use too much oil when warming up the shawarma and the grilled veggies are pretty oily too. If they can improve these things....the food would be so much better and healthier. :)

Chicken shwarma... Be warned and stay away . too salty and dry. Texture was cardboard. Horrible. Sauce is extra?? Unheard of...

So last Sunday night we had to run to Home Depot for the 6th time that weekend (that is not an exaggeration - just what happens when you buy an older home and decide to DIY) and afterwards wanted to pick up a quick dinner. I did a quick search on Yelp and found this place was not too far away, so we figured we'd try it out. We ordered a trio of dips (hummus, baba ganhoush, and yogurt with z'atar spice), a chicken gyro and a traditional gyro. We also got an extra side of tzatziki & garlic spread. Everything was pretty good. Like most of the pita places around, they over stuff the pita so it is super messy (which I'm not complaining - just a fact), but the one thing they have that I haven't seen at any of the other places I've been to is their garlic spread. If you like garlic you have to get it! It is this thick garlicy spread that just makes your pita taste 20 times better! Portions were pretty large, and we had plenty of the dips left to have the next day too. My only complaint was the pita - I think I've gotten to used to the super fresh pita at Rumi's & Aladdin's so the pita here was a little sub-par, but the garlic spread made up for it. This is more of a quick-pick up place, but next time I'm in the area and need to pick up a quick meal, I will definitely come here - or the next time I get an urge for their garlic spread.

It is a great place to get light good food fast. Had the traditional gyro and fries. They were flavorful and delicious. It did not taste very authentic but it was still really good. The service was great- polite and helpful. The sitting area is also nice with tv and music playing. It was very clean. To say the least I was impressed. I will be back.

Outstanding. What a find. Everything here taste superb. The flavor is on point in all of their meats. I could eat their food 3-4 days in a row and still not be tired of it. Even their rice is crave worthy and super flavorful. They are very friendly and efficient and it's clean. Go here!

I just visited this establishment to order take out for the first time today and I had to pause mid meal to write my review on Yelp. I actually just called them to let them know just how fresh, delicious and authentic the flavors of this falafel wrap and tahini sauce are - this is the REAL deal and all at an affordable price which included a side of vegetables, rice or french fries. I opted for the french fries which are seasoned perfectly and crispy just like I like them. The falafel are large, expertly seasoned and are juicy instead of hard and dry which I have found to be the case at several other restaurants that serve this type of cuisine in the metro Atlanta area. The pita wrap is fresh. The garnish of tomatoes, lettuce and fresh chopped herbs inside the wrap is fresh. There was just the right amount of tahini sauce drizzled on the wrap so that the sandwich remained moist throughout and never became a soggy mess. It is also helpful that the wrap is presented in an easy to eat manner, half wrapped in foil which made enjoying it a breeze. This is the best falafel meal I've had in Atlanta, hands-down. It even rivals the many excellent options for falafel that I enjoyed during my 10 years living in New York City. I definitely recommend that you give it a try. I will be back!

I have mixed feelings about Pita by the Beirut, and here's why... Pros: - Great to see another Mediterranean restaurant in the Perimeter area - They have good fries: not matchstick thin (not a a fan of super thin fries) but thin enough and crunchy, perfect seasoning. - Clean space Cons: - I wasn't a fan of the falafel wrap, particularly the pickle or whatever is pickled inside. - We had a big to-go order phoned in and it wasn't ready by the estimated time, approx 15-20 after estimated time. We also had to double-check food to make sure we got all orders. The food was ok. I think I definitely give this place another try, particularly their gyro. I just know that I don't like whatever tasted like pickle in my falafel wrap. This made it sour and too salty. I'll be sure to make sure that's not added in my order. The fries are good though. I don't think this place can handle 13+ individual orders, so we may go the catering route next time.

First time visiting and had the traditional gyro with grilled veggies and also the mezza trio as an appetizer. The gyro was stuffed with so much deliciousness (and I don't even like red meat that much). The meat was seasoned so well! The grilled veggies were just carrots and zucchini. From the appetizer trio (hummus, lebne and baba ganoush) the hummus was the winner...perfect balance of garlic and lemon...and so creamy. The lebne was not as thick as I've had it at other mediterranean places, it kinda looked and tasted like regular greek yougurt. The baba ganoush was pretty good. Overall, great healthy food and reasonable prices. Great "fast food" restaurant for a quick and healthy lunch.

Having dined at The Beirut in PTC on many occasions, I couldn't wait for this place to open and they certainly did not disappoint. My coworker and I started with e Mezza Trio which was amazing. Make sure to add a garlic dip to the platter though. For the entree, I went with the signature Pita which consists of extra gyro meat (off the spit, not frozen), tzatziki and fries. Yes, fries ON the pita! If I could do it again, I'd add lettuce and tomoato though because I like the freshness of veggies on my pita. Finished it off with a Nutella Pita which was incredible. On my next visit, I'll be trying out the Beef Shawarma. Food was so good I bought an extra order of Mezza to take back to my other coworkers.

I love this place. I come here almost every day for lunch and alternate between the gyro salad (my favorite) and the fish platter (a close second). I love that the Romaine in the salad is always fresh, the olives perfectly tart and the lemony dressing incredible. In my experience, their food is always fresh and consistent and their service always courteous. I want to compliment the owners on the recipes - you've hit the nail on the head when it comes to seasonings and sauces and quality meat. Perfect. And to the employees - thank you. It is clear that you are working hard and this near daily patron appreciates it. Keep up the good work and thanks again!

Tried the fish... Truly an unexpected delight from a restaurant that specializes in gyros. Fresh with wonderful seasoning... works well with sauce and pita. Highly recommended. Also the operation has become much more efficient to meet the increase in patrons. It's a reasonably big restaurant but nearly all of the tables were full at 11:45, but they were still able to get cooked to order items out in less than 5 minutes.

Stopped In on Sunday for the first time. Ordered he shawarma with grilled veggies. Everything was great, but I was hoping for a few more veggies. All in all, it was a good meal at a fair price.

Can't get just a pita without paying for sides. Manager has to approve and its only 50 cents less.

    (2)
  • S A.

The beef is much better than the chicken. A big let down is the lack of tzatziki.. Have to pay extra to have enough. The meals only come with a small amount if sauce; definitely not enough

The hummus was delicious! Also recommend the chicken kebab platter. The service was great and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Pita by the Beirut!

My Mediterranean palate is pretty unrefined. That being said, I thought this place was pretty good. Located in the same plaza as over a dozen other shop and restaurants, Pita by the Beirut never stuck out to me because of the tiny sign wedged between two shops. Walking into the restaurant, you're greeted by a large open space full of empty tables. There were a few tables of people sitting with their families, but we were probably the only people there - of course, there were about 10-12 of us so the nearly empty restaurant on an early Saturday afternoon was a welcome surprise. There was a single TV playing the FSU game. This looks like my kind of restaurant. Haters gonna hate. After perusing the menu, my eyes stopped at the Signature gyro wrap, which was your basic gyro wrap with French fries inside. I was immediately sold. I had a friend who visited Turkey next to me who claimed that's how he bought his gyro. After a brief rate (I was appeased by the view of the football game), my order appeared with a HUGE order of fries and the Signature gyro wrap. I was satisfied with the huge wrap and the amount of meat and tzatziki sauce on my wrap. The first few bites also had a good ratio of meat to fries. Toward the end, I realized I could have just ordered the normal gyro wrap and added my own fries and saved $.50.... I stole a grilled veggie from one of my friends, which was pretty disappointing. Good flavor but they didn't peel the carrots... Is that how you're supposed to eat carrots? Because I've never eaten a carrot with the peel. I was not impressed. A great meal for under $10. Big space for a quick in and out lunch.

My husband and I eat here all the time and we love it! Never had bad service or bad food. Only thing I would suggest is doing a better job with the rice. Every time we get the rice, all of the kernels are not fully cooked. Other than that, we always get attended to fast, and we get our food pretty quick and its always delicious no matter what we get! One of our favorite places to eat close to home!

    (4)
  • Hanan A.

I really enjoyed the gyro special here. It is probably the best gyro I've had recently in comparison with other midde eastern restaurants in the area. The fries were really good with some extra spice and flavor. I do wish they were more generous with the gyro meat. Overall good.

  • Lena P.

Yesterday I decided to give this place another try (after a few months), and it did not change my mind. We ordered two falafel wraps with fries. We got only 2 lousy falafel patties in our large pita wrap. Really?!! We got a little amount of lettuce, no tomatoes, no tahini sauce. It was just basically bread that we were eating. Service was very slow for pick up and food is very inconsistent. I give up on this place.

Have tried Pita a couple of times lately and both times during lunch, and the wait was unbearable. I just don't think they can handle the lunch rush. About a month ago, I called in my order about a half hour before I actually got to the restaurant. I then waited an additional 15 minutes for my order. That's 45 minutes for a platter of ground lamb and rice. Today, I decided to roll the dice and actually order at the cashier. 25 minutes later, I got my food in a broken, dirty box and bag. They apologized for the wait, which was nice, but that's too long to wait. Want to make your food taste bad? Put a bad taste in your customer's mouth with a long wait. There was about 10 other people in my situation, and one lady approached me and said she had been waiting 20 minutes for a side salad. She said she wouldn't be back. Clearly a line management issue, the kitchen was a mess--completely disorganized--and a lot of unhappy customers staring and waiting. I'll be back to Pita, but probably not for a few months to see if they've tightened things up a bit.

Fresh, plentiful, and semi healthy as you want it to be... Pita by the Beirut occupies the old Schlotsky's restaurant located next to the USPS shipping and across from DSW. I've been here twice and have ordered the traditional gyro each time. Food is fast and fresh (at least both times I've been here which was once on a weekend during lunch and other time after work on a Thursday). The amount of gyro in the Pita is ridiculous, but hey I'm not complaining. What I would recommend to management is to add salad as a side option for those not wanting fries or rice. I would definitely recommend this place if your into Greek food.

I have recently discovered this place and I am excited about it. Great place for lunch and dinner. Food is awesome. I am a big Mediterranean food person and this is one of the best quick food restaurants. Highly recommended! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Thank you!

Was staying near this area and searched the highest reviewed restaurants and this one came out on the list. Tried one gyro (kafta) and was totally bought! We started with a creamy and flavorful appetizer called Mezza Trio. Everything tasted beyond my expectations. Place looks clean, stuff is friendly and overall nice casual ambience. Definitely If all joint restaurants would look like this one, I would not have any hesitation to come over once or twice a week. Will come back for more...

Surprisingly good food ... I was in the area recently and I followed the positive reviews on Yelp to Pita by the Beirut. It turned out to be a good choice. The chicken Shawarma was better than the falafel imho... There are a number of Yelpers who mentioned the grilled vegetables as a great side and they are right. The veggies (mostly zucchini and some awesomely large carrots) taste great and are nice change of pace from rice or "fries." Their Tzatziki sauce is worth a try. They charge and extra 60¢ for a "side" of it but the consistency is thick and super creamy ... almost "whipped." Considering "Pita" is the first word in their name, I didn't find the actual bread to be all that fresh (... maybe frozen, then thawed???) But the veggies and their reasonable prices made up for that. The interior is what you'll find is trending among all "fast casual" type of restaurants. High ceilings and concrete floors with tables lined up all around the counter you order at. A sign outside said "children eat free" and that was evidenced by the amount of food splattered on the floor waiting to be cleaned up by the staff (sigh - "Dunwoody Parents".) You will find Pita by the Beirut in the Dunwoody Wal-Mart center ... over in the outlying section, not in the W-M "strip." You might drive by it if you're heading to Wal-Mart .

"Falafel is a gateway food," Michelle Bachmann Okay, so she didn't really say this. it was just Internet satire, but the falafel's here could definitely be a gateway food! Pita by the Beirut has a new location at the perimeter and is very welcome here. The restaurant itself is a casual, order at the counter establishment. It is clean, with functional decor and seating. The employees are friendly with great attitudes. Having just come for a quick lunch, I ordered a falafel wrap. When given the option of a side, fries, rice, or grilled vegetables I chose the veggies, good choice. The falafel wrap was ample, the flavors were fresh, The grilled vegetables were perfect. While they probably weren't the best falafel I ever had, they were very good, and worked well with the soft pita they use here. Definitely a good spot for lunch. "hey this tastes good, I wonder what else comes from Arabia?" Uh oh...

The food is good and fresh here. I've been pleased with it both times I've visited. However, they definitely need to work on their service. The first time I visited the young lady at the register was texting on her phone. I was just standing there. She looked up , said nothing, dead silence. So I ordered. Food took quite a while. There are tons of people behind counter but no obvious management. Things are too chaotic. The second time I visited, the young man at the register spoke so softly I could not hear him. At all. Food took 25 minutes, there were no less than 5 people behind counter. No organization or management. Not totally sure I will be back. It's just too slow/difficult. However - I must reiterate- food itself is outstanding!!

A semi-healthy lunch for under $10!? Hell yes. I ordered the Kafta wrap, which has lamb, beef, hummus, and some veggies. I was hoping it to would have more flavor. The meat needed a kick of extra lime, cilantro, or something spicy for me to give it five stars. I also got a side of rice, which was pretty good. I'll come back during another lunch break to try out something else from their menu!

I've had the chicken shwarma, chicken tawook, and the gyro and they are all uniquely spiced and have ample portions for even those with big appetites. Good sides, good prices, clean, bright atmosphere. On Mondays, they have $5 gyros. Yeah! This is worth the ten mile trip from my house.

I am updating this review. The owner, Nour, reached out to me about the poor review and offered to make it up to us. He comped our next meal to get us to give them another shot. This time, the food came out quickly and was very tasty. I will return. Walked in and were the only people in there, took 30 minutes for our order. Got home and it was inedible, the only good item was the fries. Can't get the taste of the burnt meat out of my mouth. Terrible place..no chance they are still open next year

Wonderful mediterranean flavors. Super fresh and delicious. I got the Mezza trio and the falafel appetizer. It was a great way to taste a bunch of different flavors. For a fast casual restaurant I was really surprised how nicely the dishes were plated and presented. I am a big fan! Next to Jason's deli. I think the garlic spread, hummus, baba ghanoush, tzatziki and lebanee might be addictive!
