Since I am in the neighborhood, Pig N Chik has become my go to barbeque place when I'm jonesin' for pulled pork. The pork is really well done here. Tender and juicy with a distinct taste of real smoke, it has a nice crispy bark on its exterior, enough fattiness to give it a really unctiously rich feel and a pink smoke ring that quantifies that it is really cooked over wood. I like the fact that Pig N Chik offers a variety of sauces including a really solid South Carolina mustard style. Pig N Chik also makes a mean and spicy Brunswick Stew with big chunks of pork, potato and corn. If you're nearby, this non-descript strip mall smokehouse is well worth a stop in.

I finally got to eat here on May 8, 2011 after along time of hype and hearing good things. I was starved after a 62 mile bicycle ride, and ordered ribs, pork, wings, mac and cheese, beans and sweet tea. All were near perfect. I love this place. This is some of the best bbq I have ever had. Amazing ribs with huge amounts of meat on them. And I like the sauce, too. I'm definetly coming back and recommending this place. It lived up to all the hype. See my picture!

after the slight letdown of Shane's Rib Shack BBQ on Tuesday night, I felt my last night in the outskirts of Atlanta had to include real BBQ. a short drive away from my hotel, and once again, amidst a cluster of strip malls, here is a great find! and to add insult to injury, it's below a gym. way to motivate us fatties! I go in - and a bunch of dudes with cowboy hats and beards like ZZ Top all stare at me in unison, and pretty angrily. I am fairly sure they fought in the Civil War and wanted revenge for the War of Northern Aggression. so I hurry to the counter and ordered a two-meat/two-side platter: pulled pork, BBQ chicken, corn, fries, and toast...and you know what, let's try a beer from Terrapin Brewery. a rye pale ale, to be exact. total bill: $19.50 now THIS was great BBQ food! both the pork and chicken were flavorful, tender, and meaty. excellent smoky flavoring and blend of spices. corn had a bit of a buttery flavoring, and the fries were perfectly crispy with just a little softness on the inside. portions were perfect. there's also 3 sauces at your table: one is a BBQ sauce that's a great balance of sweet and smoky one is a hot sauce which is kind of standard, and honestly not that hot to me the third was a spicy mustard, which I am fairly sure had crack cocaine in it, because I was this close to guzzling it out of the container. seriously, what's in that shit? it was awesome. what clinches the 5 stars? let's see: a great selection of beers - not just the usual BudMillCoors macroswill, but a nice variety of microbrews on hand too friendly atmosphere (the ZZ Top guys eventually stopped glaring at me) food came out fast free wifi! team trivia nights pinball and arcade machines YOU CAN ORDER BARBECUE FOOD BY THE POUND (Yelp NYC, let's road trip! I am envisioning something akin to "Beerfest" featuring our best eaters: Meaty Petey, Philly Cheesesteak, G Unit...) if you're ever in this area, swing by for great portions of BBQ food. it's not a huge place, but it's not tiny either, so bring a group of friends and gorge!

This was a normal run of the mill kind of place for BBQ. It was good. I can't say it was as good as some of the BBQ I've had in Memphis or Nashville, but I liked it. Next time I will try another side besides the french fries.

this place was good. went there for our weekly thursday night dinner and decided to return here. i had the pulled pork, greens, and mac and cheese. pork was delish, greens a little spicy, but at least they were collard and not turnip. the mac and cheese was also good. for dessert we had the banana pudding and the chocolate cake (we shared between 4 of us). best part: TRIVIA!!! visit. seriously. good portions, good prices.

Another absolute fave. This definitely beats Fox Brothers, which is unfortunate because i live so close to Fox Bros. I will go out of my way for Pig N Chik's mac n cheese. SOO good - not too cheesy, just the right amount. And the bbq chicken and corn and bread and sauce are all so delicious. If this was healthy, I'd be happy eating it every night for dinner! Who doesn't love a place called Pig-N Chik?

Rfdfg bnhj, kikl.hn l;kbn nbjbn Sorry about that, had to wipe the BBQ sauce off my keyboard....(don't judge me! Lol) Pig n Chick, where do I begin?? Let me first start out by saying I have officially given up pork and I wanted to eat some one last time. I had been to a different BBQ place and had their ribs, but they just didn't hit the spot. So there I was at Pig n Chick all starry-eyed after reading the helpful reviews. My last pork meal included: The pulled pork platter with two sides (baked beans and French fries). The pulled pork tasted very good overall. It needed the sweet bbq sauce due to their not being a lot of seasoning on the meat. But with the sauce, it hit the spot. The baked beans were average, didn't notice any meat or extra "zing" to them. I should've probably ordered something I can't make at home. The fries were typical crinkle cut fries, but no complaints there. I tried the infamous spicy mustard with my fries and I see why it's popular. It has a very unique taste that has a kick to it. The food portions are pretty good for the money, I have enough food for another meal. Overall I am very pleased (and stuffed!) and just pray no one sees me nodding off at my desk after that delicious lunch!

Definitely my favorite Pig N Chik location. Okay, I am biased because I live right across the street, but still....this location rocks. They're never too busy and even when they do have a nice crowd, your order gets taken and served pretty promptly. The staff is cool and can always help make suggestions. They offer a 10% off discount for post-workout meals if you're a Gym of Buckhead member (genius idea) Pig N Chik isn't the greatest barbeque in the world, but it ain't bad either. Great place if you want some good barbeque at a good price. FOOD: Pulled pork is the best. Sliced beef is okay. The wings are good, but make sure you specifically ask for them wet if you like a lot of sauce. SIDES: Mac n cheese rocks Brunswick stew rocks Fried okra rocks

Yummy pulled chicken and baked beans, the macaroni is not that good. Assortment of homemade sauces. Very "mom and pop-ish" with a few high school kids manning the counter. Laid back, and the beer is cheap on certain days. Nice neighborhood place to grab a cheap bite.

The 'cue is good, and I enjoy the wide variety of sauces. However, the sides are more miss than hit.

Stopped by here on this past Friday. Being from Kansas City I'm a bit of a barbecue snob, and have only found decent barbecue at a couple of spots in metro Atlanta. Pig -N-Chik is NOT one of those spots. I usually try to order a combo plate the first time I go somewhere so I can get a good sampling of the various meats. Pig-N-Chik doesn't do combo plates. As the guy at the counter said, they do everything a la carte to make it easier for folks. A combo plate should not be a hardship to make, how hard is it to put 2 or 3 different meats together with a couple of sides? Then I looked at the menu a little harder, and I DID find a combo plate on the menu. It said it was pork, beef, and chicken, which sounded great. I added on 2 ribs and waited for my to-go order. I was laughing at the fact they sell individual ribs and also sell their rib tips individually. Yes you read that right, they sell rib tips for 75 cents each. Everywhere else I've been to sells rib tips either by the 1/2 lb or the pound. Paying 75 cents each for some rib tips is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of, should have been a warning sign to me. Well, the guy hands me my to go bag and the only thing in it is one white styrofoam to-go box. I'm thinking, there's no way they can put 3 servings of meat, 2 rib bones, and my 2 sides in this one little box. I get home, open the box, and see 2 small containers of my sides (mac and cheese and Brunswick stew), and 2 small foil packages. I open the first foil package and see 2 of the smallest rib bones I've ever seen in my life. They were smaller than baby back rib bones. Then I open the second foil package to see it contains my pork, beef and chicken, which was really big ball of pulled pork, chopped brisket, and pulled chicken all mushed and combined together as one big ball of meat. It looked VERY unappetizing. As far as taste, the sides were decent. The mac and cheese was very creamy, but needed a little more seasoning, and the Brunswick stew was good. It had a good amount of meat and vegetables and was very thick. The meats were not so good. The ribs (as small as they were) had a layer of fat on them, and they were overcooked because I took one bite and all of the meat on both bones came off with my bite. Fall off the bone ribs are NOT a good thing, you should be able to see your bite mark in the rib after taking a bite. After trying to separate my huge meat ball into 3 different piles, the pulled pork was OK, but needed more seasoning, the brisket that I got had too much fat with it, and the pulled chicken was the best. Full of flavor and a good smokiness to it. Being from Kansas City, I like sweet tomato based sauces, so I didnt bother with the disgusting mustard sauce or the watery vinegar "sauce", and the sauce was pretty good, probably the best thing about my meal. It did make the meats taste a little better, but good barbecue shouldnt need a sauce to make it taste good. Pig-N-Chik was OK, but I probably won't ever go out of my way to eat here again.....

Oh my gosh I LOVE Pig-N-Chik! I haven't been there in a while but for some reason just thought about them. Now I'm really craving that mustard barbecue sauce. OH it is SO GOOD. I like the pulled pork and the chicken, especially...which are both very tender and flavorful. And that big hunk of white bread, perfect for sopping up all of the mouth-wateringly delicious sauce, the beans, the slaw, the YUMMINESS!! Oh yeah - although I think the BBQ here is divine, I am reserving the perfect five star rating for that quintessential nondescript shanty of a place somewhere out in the country (you know what I'm talking about) with wood piled up in the back and smoke billowing out. You know, "atmosphere."

Overall, it was very good, especially compared to the competition. I order the half rack of ribs and a meat, which I chose the pulled pork. For sides I chose the brunswick stew and potato salad. My cohort in crime had the two meat platter of which he chose the pulled pork and chicken along with brunswick stew and hushpuppies. When I got my plate, it had a very nice portion of good sized ribs. They were perfectly cooked. Nice color, easy to pull off the bone, yet not overcooked to the point where they are falling off the bone nor tough. A very nice job of smoking them perfectly. I'd say the smokiness was something you rarely find in the area. Both of us agreed that the pulled pork was mushy. The texture was if it had been overcooked and maybe been sitting in water? I ate a few bites, but even with trying a lot of sauce to no sauce, I found it yucky. We both left this for the lucky mouse in the trash can. The chicken was huge, perfectly smoked, and delicious. Such a large portion, he didn't mind the pulled pork being not that great. You have the choice of 3 sauces. Mustard, Carolina, and Regular. The regular sauce was thick, moderately spiced, sweet, and had an excellent flavor. The carolina was okay, but not my favorite. I used to live in NC and it didn't seem to be like what I was used to getting there. The mustard was also good, but not my normal sauce, so I just tasted it and moved on. We both enjoyed the brunswick stew. I thought it was a tad vinegar-ie, and he thought it had too much black pepper. But definitely some of the best we have had in the area. You are initially handed a cup with ice to serve yourself. Both the sweet tea and unsweet tea were fine. As someone else stated, the lemonade was really watered down. They do have beer and canned soda if you like. Tip: If you go back for refills, the ice is in a cooler behind the large jugs that hold the teas, lemonade, and water. Odd not finding a soda dispenser and ice maker, but whatever works, right? =) The atmosphere was nice for a small local type of establishment. Two TVs were broadcasting football today (yay!) and the place had a nice ambiance. The staff was friendly though since you order at the counter and they bring it to you, you don't have much interaction at all. The half rack and one meat was around $15. I forget the exact prices of everything else, but they were about average, but a good value considering we did get a nice serving of meat. The location is right off Roswell Rd where we went. It was in the end of a strip mall. The smoker could be seen parked outside, but it wasn't going. Plenty of parking. They also had some outdoor seating as well. Dress attire? Have on some clothes. No fancy dressing up. But I guess you can if you want. Oh yeah, the got some video games over by the wall if you got some children that need entertained while you eat. Would we go there again? Most definitely! Maybe we hit a bad evening for the pulled pork, but everything else made up for it.

THis location has such a better selection than the Ptree Industrial one.....particularly the smoked salmon here is amazing!!! I'm a fan of pig n chik all around good pork, nice white chicken option if your being super clean.....and lotsa nice dressings for your meats.....outdoor tables to take advantage of a nice day and great sides as well. Casual lunch spot and great to take home too. Now dont think bc its casual you will get out under $10 bc you likely will spend more like $15 but its well worth it.

The Pig-N Chik has great barbecue pork, but the thing that surprised me was how good the barbecue salmon was. Great place to eat, drink a beer, and catch a Braves game!

We try to always venture out and give new BBQ a try. So while I had seen the Pig 'N Chick catering vans around town, I had yet to try their food. It's a quaint little shop where you order at the counter and the food is brought to you. I decided to get the 1/4 rack of ribs with mac-n-cheese and baked beans and a lemonade to drink. The man who took our order was nice and the food came out quickly. The lemonade tasted watered down-- almost as though it was store bought and diluted. The baked beans were yummy! I don't like my baked beans too be too mapley and these were super good. The mac-n-cheese was just okay. I like my mac-n-cheese to be a good cross between the traditional baked mac-n-cheese with breadcrumbs and the stovetop cheesier mac-n-cheese. This was a super cheesy mac-n-cheese that was TOO cheesy and overwhelming. Thumbs down. Lastly, the ribs were fatty. I was really disappointed on this one. My boyfriend got the pulled pork with okra and tater salad and he was satisfied and happy with everything he ordered. Maybe I just ordered the wrong stuff. :/

I first had this bbq when someone used P&C Catered their party. I fell in love with the sliced beef and pulled pork. I just recently returned with my husband, again, the food didn't disappoint. I think for 2 meals, and a couple of beers we spent $29. Not bad. I will def return again.

This is my favorite BBQ place in ATL. The pulled pork is flavorful and never dry. The Brunswick stew has the right flavor and texture (small chunks of tomato, etc...). I don't like stew that is ground into a pulp. The stew usually has just a little kick, which is good for the sinuses..... The broccoli is good (seasoned with some butter and salt, I believe), which is something that I seldom say about that particular veggie. The baked beans are quite tasty, too. My only real complaint is that my plate winds up empty before I am tired of eating the BBQ.....!

By walking in to a Georgia BBQ joint and not ordering pulled pork I must have made some huge unforgivable mistake. I like pork just fine. But pulled...I'll pass. So after picking up my stunningly beautiful Bella (my dog) inspired cup from Art and Soul that I had painted days before I decided I wanted to try the bbq place that I'd seen a few times while passing through the shopping center. I ordered the SLICED beef to go. I was teeming with excitement since I had not had sliced brisket since I left Texas over a year ago. When I walked into my kitchen at home to open the pound of beef I was shocked to see not one piece of SLICED beef. What I'd purchased was a tin foil full of dried up end pieces and overly charred shavings. I have spent many an hour with a trusty smoker and brisket. I am also no novice when it comes to slicing meat. So what I saw was almost a smack in the face. Was I ignorant? Did I not know what a good juicy piece of smoked brisket looks like? And, how do you char the crap out of a smoked brisket? Did the crumbles of meat cook themselves dry on my half of a mile drive home and miraculously fall apart? I was determined to ask all of these questions as I drove back to this establishment. But when I arrived the only words that came out were...."This is not sliced beef." The gentlemen behind the counter's reply was: "This is how we do it." It was such a poor reply I didn't have anything else to say. As there were diners within earshot, he quickly offered my money back and I was on my way. If sliced beef is supposed to be dry end pieces that look like pulled pork. Please let me know as I am afraid to order it in Atlanta again. KJ

Pig-N-Chik is definitely one of my favorite Q' places in Atlanta. First and foremost, I have to agree with many of the other reviewers that the pulled pork is some of the best I have had in the Southeast - served hand pulled, it is moist, juicy and plenty good with no sauce at all. However, what I feel obligated to pay homage to in my review is the Redneck Nachos! My buddy and I make a weekly pilgrimage from our office in buckhead to scarf down this often overlooked medley of goodness on our lunch break. What are "Redneck Nachos" you may ask - they are a layer of french fries, topped with a layer of cheese and finally topped with a layer of pulled pork. Lather liberally with your favorite BBQ sauce and/or Ketchup and you have yourself quite a feast. If you end up taking a trip to Pig-N-Chik, do yourself a favor and don't overlook this slice of heaven!

I was bummed out that my fave BBQ restaurant closed down after 17 long years...Dusty's BBQ, near Emory College. I tried to go to Fat Matt's Blues & BBQ (Piedmont Rd) on July 4th and the line was out the door, and is very popular place: "No Way I'm standing in that line," I said, and quickly left the establishment. Then I remembered going to a place called Pig-N Chik a while back. The BBQ there was exceptional, and they serve food "express-style" so you don't have to wait as long for your order. They were very busy today (7/4 is their busiest day an employee said) I ordered (as takeout) the white chicken plate with 2 sides. Again, I reiterate: this place sells exceptional BBQ! Although I don't eat pork or beef, and I prefer my chicken on the bone, shredded is ok which is what some of the items consist of-chopped and shredded meat items, hence, the "express style" nature of the place... they also sell pork, ribs, desserts and ice cold beer (if you dine in for that, though), even BBQ turkey. Their BBQ sauce is very good-tangy with a little sweet aftertaste, The chicken is, at best, tender and moist, not dry...mmmm! My 2 sides were just as tasty...seasoned broccoli and mac & cheese with a slice of Texas bread. I only paid $12.90 (with tax). If you don't want to stand in a very long line, I recommend trying this place out...you'll like it!

One of my favorite lunch-time BBQ restaurants. The brisket and pulled pork are always very good. Whenever I'm in the mood for BBQ for lunch, I look for a Pig-n-Chik.

I could NOT taste the smoke flavor in the meat. My husband said he could smell it on his fingers. But he could not taste it as well. The meat was tender but I wondered if they cooked it in an oven and the smoker was just for show. This BBQ place is small, clean, service was good. The atmosphere reminds you of eating in something like a cross between a regular fast food restaurant and Zaxbys. The potato salad was tasteless. The Brunswick stew was OK and the Baked Beans were OK... but they were not BBQ baked beans.

I read the reviews here before going. I knew that they would serve their stuff on plastic plates, and I knew that once you got your food, service was on your own terms. All that aside, my girlfriend and I had been watching the Food Network the night before our visit. There was some show about bbq, mostly ribs. We've been to Dreamland and JR's, and even to Chef Pete's when it was opened. It was time to venture out and try something completely different. For dinner... 1/2 rack of ribs with Brunswick Stew, and mac and cheese. Lil Lola got herself a pulled beef sandwich. Amanda got the 1/4 rack with the stew and fries. It's a bit expensive, but you have to expect that for ribs! The ribs came out dry. You have different sauces at the table to mix and match. The food was really good. To me, it was almost great. I think portion had a lot to do with my opinion (vs price), but I really can't complain. The meat fell off the bones, and the sides were delicious. The pulled beef sandwich is not something I'll get for a toddler again though. It's tough to cut, and is a choking hazzard for young ones. Good thing they have other kid dishes to choose from! Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. 3 Dekalb county cops came in while we were there to eat. If cops like it, it can't be all that bad! At least you're safe while eating, right? The best thing I can say about the experience... it completely satisfied our craving for ribs!!!

called in my order on a thursday night and they ran out of briskit! it was only like 7pm! they didn't let me know until i got there so nothing was ready and i ended up having to re-order then wait for the food. so annoying. minus 1 star. the Pulled pork sandwich was great! Really good Mac and cheese! they used real cheese or something so it wasn't as creamy but it would not recommend the hush puppies. it was super dry. the bruinswick stew is different than what i'm use to but wasn't bad either.

The original Pig-N Chik is great. They have good ribs, chicken, and a good turkey sandwich. The sides are all good too. Beware of the spin-offs though. One in my area of town has since closed down and I imagine it was due to inconsistency, which is what I found there. You can't go wrong with the original location though.

A little hard to find on the lower corner of a two story strip mall, but definitely worth looking for. Pig-N Chik has some of the best brunswick stew in the city, a great brisket, and top notch pulled pork. Pig-N Chik is family friendly; it feels like every time that I have been there was a large family or a youth sports team attacking plate after plate of barbecue after a baseball or soccer game. The service is good and the turnaround time on orders is very quick. They sell pulled pork by the pound, which makes for a great quick to-go item to take to a party or a tailgate. Overall, a very solid entry into the Atlanta Barbecue pantheon.

I don't mess around with my bbq. I like my pork pulled, not shredded. I like my beans baked with bacon. I like my mac n cheese creamy and with no reminiscence of a blue box. I like my okra fresh. And of course I want corn bread or at least a darn good piece of white bread freshly doused in butter, warm out of the toaster or off the grill. And if I get french fries, I want them spiced and crispy. And of course, I want lots of sauces. Hot and spicy to sweet with a hint of kick. Here's what I got at Pig-N Chik. Decent pork that was pulled, not shredded. I was able to actually bite into it, although a few pieces were overly fatty. The meat was tender, and if you like your meat pretty plain, it was tasy enough just as is. Since I am always seeking the a new condiment for which my pork can be a vehicle, I tried their two homemade sauces...one sweet and one spicy. The sauces were good, although I wish the spicy one had been, umm, spicier. The bread they served the bbq with was meh. I took one bite then gave it to my one-year-old niece to play with. I asked the man who took my order what he recommended for sides (the small plate comes with 5 ounces of meat...he recommended pork...and 2 sides). He recommends the brunswick stew and the mac n cheese. I was obliged to follow his recommendation. The mac n cheese was too creamy and not in a good way. It was a half step above velveeta. Now I love a good velveeta just as much as the next guy while watching boring football games, but when I eat bbq I want savory mac that has a mix of cheeses and has a good bread crumb crunchy crust on top. There was no crunch to this mac n cheese. As far as the stew...that was the absolute winner. I would go back to Pig-N Chik just for the Brunswik stew. I've never had Brunswik stew before, but it was delightlfully spicy. The potatoes weren't quite cooked through, but that didn't even bother me as the flavor was delic and the meat was tender. I tried my mom's fried okra and hush puppies. The okra was undoubtedly frozen...come on!--this is a bbq place...make it yourself. That said, it wasn't terrible. The hush puppies were pretty tasty. If I returned I'd get a bowl of brunswick (am I spelling that right?) stew and a side order of hush puppies. Lastly, I tried a few french fries my sister ordered for my nephew. They weren't seasoned as french fries have to be...and for being frozen french fries, they didn't have that yummy oven crunch. There was a great positive to this place. It's a wonderful place for kids... and they have an old school Mrs. Packman that you can play for 25 cents a pop. My idea of a party.

Yesterday we planned to go out to dinner & a movie. Wasn't sure what we wanted, but settled for barbecue. I had been to PigN Chik before, found that their food was very good. When we got there we found that they had a local band playing blues/rock in the parking lot. These guys were pretty good, a local band called "Snapperhead". I had a pork sandwich which was very good. Instead of going to the movies we ended up staying and enjoying the band and drinking some beers. To sum it up very good sandwich, plenty of beer to choose from, & a good blues band, Also a very big plus, a very cheap evening.

With an overall yelp rating of 4.5 stars I was a bit underwhelmed by my visit to Pig-N Chik this evening. First of all, I'm a fan of chopped pork. Most places will give you a choice of pulled, chopped or sliced (or at least 2 out of 3 options). Pulled is all they offer here...at least it wasn't greasy... The meat was served cold :( The sauces were okay...a spicy hot vinegar based and a tomato based regular sauce. They also have a mustard based that I didn't try. The brunswick stew was heavily laden with whole kernel corn and lima beans...if I want that much lima, I'll go to Peru! On the bright side, the fried okra was close to perfect. The staff was friendly, however, you have to place your order at the counter...if you can deliver the food to the table how about taking the order there? The outdoor seating is plastic tables, pretty much in a row, on a sidewalk...not much atmosphere. I'll stick to Williamson Bros. in Marietta.

*sigh* I am a North Carolinian of 35 years, I moved here roughly 3 years ago. It has been one disappointing experience after another. I don't know where to begin. Well I guess I will just start with the burnt hush puppies that I received. Now, I understand your a restaurant and you are catering to many customers at one time but HOW do you serve burnt hush puppies!? My little sister learned how to make hush puppies without burning them at 7 years old. Next, your pitiful excuse for banana pudding. I have had better banana pudding in my grandmothers rest home and that was 5 star compared to this one. Who on God's green Earth came up with the brilliant idea to replace vanilla wafers with Moonpie quarters in a banana pudding!? Whatever moron came up with that should not be cooking because their understanding of good old fashioned down home southern cooking is as deep as a balogna sandwich. On to the coleslaw, I don't mind shredded coleslaw. I think the flavor was okay but there wasn't enough juice to it. It was dry ,and was like eating a lightly dusted salad with flavor. Please stop serving these items under the premise of being North Carolina style because NOTHING is NC style about this food. On to the barbeque. As I mentioned, I'm a born and raised North Carolinian from Eastern NC home of Bills BBQ and Parkers BBQ where you don't get burnt barbeque. You don't get burnt hush puppies, and the barbeque is flavored. I (the customer) do not have to add some lousy sauce to the meat. The cole slaw is COLD, juicy, full of flavor AND they serve it on a sandwich with the bun (REAL barbeque sandwich). The sauce *laughs* is the proof that whoever made it could not be from North Carolina. I literally want to see that birth certificate because NOBODY from the beaches of NC to the mountains would EVER make a sauce like that. They only understood the main key ingredients (vinegar and pepper). Any real North Carolinian knows there is more to our sauce than that. I am so disappointed and disgusted that I can't go on giving a review. I just pray that some day a REAL North Carolinian will open a barbeque restaurant in metro Atlanta because this clearly is not it.

Six of us met up at this location last night for trivia. No one had ever been, so of course I consulted the almighty Yelp and found a mixed bag of reviews from 5 star to 2 star. Not sure what to expect, we each ordered from all over the menu. Here's the synopsis: Wings: Great value on Thursdays (50 cents ea), good and spicy Pulled pork: Nice portion size, good value, tender Turkey: Expensive, a bit on the dry side, poor portion size Brunswick stew: Thin, watery, surprised to find potato chunks (?!), spicy Beans: Average taste, no BBQ meat, seemed to be straight from canned plus BBQ sauce, really Bread: Plain white, no toast, no garlic Banana Pudding: Absent, but they DID have banana pie, which was mildly disappointing according to my friend Beer: 10 bucks a GALLON (seriously, it's served in a gallon plastic milk jug) Nostalgia: Galaga and PacMan for a quarter . . . that was cool, I have to admit Hubby and I had 1/2 lb of sliced turkey, a small side of beans, and a pint of brunswick stew, and 2 teas and had a bill of nearly 18 bucks. This place is ok, but the quality/quantity/price point match that I require to give a 4+ star rating just isn't there. KC Pit beats the pants off this place . . . too bad they don't have trivia.

Good solid food here. I'm not going to say it is the best BBQ I have ever eaten because I am a huge BBQ fan and I don't know if I could choose a favorite. The food is consistent. I always go with quite a few people and I have never heard a complaint.

I ordered the pork plate, cole slaw and fries. Having formerly competed in barbecue competitions, I am a great fan of good barbecue. I was terribly disappointed! The pork was tough and tasteless. There was no hint of smoke flavor and no evidence of any seasoning on the meat. The sauces were great, but the meat shouldn't have to depend on sauce for taste. The slaw was good, not great and the fries were fine. Based on this visit, I would not return.

This BBQ is really good. Not what i expected, but it wasn't bad at all! The people that work here are super friendly and helpful as well. I hear the redneck nachos are amazing (i'll have to try them next time!).

Alright here's my take. I really like the BBQ. Really good Q. Sauces are excellent also. Sweet tea is good. However, the side dishes are lame - they taste like weak, elementary school cafeteria dishes at times. The side items are not on par with the BBQ. Too bad.

I came here reading the reviews and I was a little bit disappointed. The ribs were very dry and overcooked. The pulled pork was pretty good. The potato salad was just OK. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Fabulous pulled pork...along with mac and cheese and fresh steamed broccoli. I will be back!!!

My favorite BBQ place in Atlanta. I've been to both, but this was the first one I tried. The pork is juicy, pulled, and flavorful...and another biggie for me...it's served on Texas Toast. Albeit, untoasted - which I'm cool with. The sauces are great too. I spent some time in North Carolina, so I enjoy the vinegar based sauce, but the tomato base is great too. The best thing to to, though, is combine both! I encourage you, if you're a Texas, Carolina, Alabama, etc. BBQ Snob...try this place!

I was a bit underwhelmed as well based upon the reviews. I like Swallow in the Hollow for real BBQ. The service and food is good here, but not great. Not some place I'd go out of my way for.

It's so easy to screw up barbeque chicken. It sometimes can be too dry. That has NEVER happened here. It's amazing. I go in and think about trying other things on the menu because all my friends do and they say it is all sooooooo good but I can't seem to break away from the chicken. I smother it in different sauces, all good, so at least I'm trying to break the habit. I order a side of brunswick stew to go with it and I'm a happy girl. This really is some of the best in Atlanta.

good food. at this location they have dj trivia on thursdays. love the soda in cans - i know it'll taste good and the machine didn't run out of flavor. pulled chicken platter is good. the bbq sauce has a good flavor. this is not a fancy place so don't expect any hoity toity people. down home good food. i recommend the french fries as a side (i even double them instead of getting anything else).

The hubby and I went here on Valentine's Day since nothing says I Love You more than pulled pork. Maybe it was just an off day for Pig N Chik, but the BBQ was awful. It was DRY!!! And BBQ sauce didn't even help. Dry pork is the worst. However, their mustard based BBQ sauce was pretty tasty. I did try the Redneck Nachos. I like the idea of them, but overall, I wasn't impressed.

Great place! I always tend to judge a barbecue place by the quality of their brunswick stew and theirs is pretty darn tasty. Great barbecue, great sauces, and pretty good potato salad. The only bad part is... you go here and eat your huge plate of barbecue and just outside... you see all the workout guys coming down from the gym upstairs!

got the pulled chicken sandwich which was great for a chicken fereak like me... it was all white meat!! yiipiee!! great tangy sauce with excellent potatoe salad!!! ill go back just for that :) lol.. enjoy!

No insult to Texans who love their brisket or folks who insist that BBQ means ribs, but in the South BBQ is all about pulled pork. And the Pig-N-Chik falls short when it comes to pulled pork. I've given the place a couple of tries and their pork always comes out mushy and tasteless. And why would they serve their sandwich on those huge slices of Texas toast or whatever they call it? Pork sandwiches are supposed to come on a bun. Just can't recommend this place.

  • Frans D.

Wonderful pulled pork sandwich! Big chunks of tender, tasty, juicy, smokey meat. Good selection of barbecue sauces. This is my favorite place for barbecue pork sandwiches. I haven't had any of their side dishes because the sandwiches are so big I don't have room to eat anything else!

Quit simply the bomb. Thick BBQ sauce, ribs, pulled pork and Chicken done right. The sides are amazing as well. As far as BBQ joints are concerned, if you love BBQ, you will love this place.

The mac and cheese is creamy, and the ribs are fall off the bone good. Extra star for delivery and huge portions.

All about that BBQ is the theme and cuisine of Pig-N-Chik. Since I don't eat pork I can't comment on there pulled pork specialty but I can comment about the chicken. The BBQ chicken has a nice tangy kick to it and goes well with their slaw. Pig-N-Chik is in Sandy Springs and generally the service is speedy.

What's great about Pig-N-Chik is the atmosphere and the people. The food alone isn't worth driving out of your way, but it's perfectly fine for what it is (solid bbq.) However, this is a very inviting, casual little spot that hosts super fun trivia nights on Thursdays - if that's your thing, I recommend checking it out. There have been two different hosts in recent months, both of whom keep the game moving quickly and have friendly personalities. The staff and management couldn't be nicer, either. Like the restaurant itself, which is covered in sports memorabilia, they're laid-back and want to make their guests feel comfortable. Those guests run the gamut - you'll see people of all ages, races, and walks of life here. Nestled at the edge of a shopping center on Roswell Rd., Pig-N-Chik has a small menu. They have a few specialties and try to get those right. You have the option of a sandwich with beef, pork, or chicken, or a plate with the same meats. Meats are served dry, and there is a pretty good sauce on the table (it's smoky and tangy, which I like - but if you want sweet or vinegar, you may have to ask specially.) You can also opt for "Redneck Nachos," which is your choice of meat over crinkle-cut fries, topped with shredded cheddar cheese. As far as the meat goes, the pork is your best bet. The chicken has been a little dry the couple of times I've gotten it, but let's be honest - I was just gonna douse it in sauce anyway. If you simply want to hang out with your friends and get a pretty decent dinner at a very affordable place while in a comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff, Pig-N-Chik is worth the stop!

BBQ nuff said. This place has some of the best Q in town. Butts, quarters, brisket, and even salmon. The smoke wings are a must. And if you ask they have a white sauce that's great with the turkey and the broccoli. The service is remarkable I mean for a counter service restaurant the are go out their way to help especially Sheena. Great beer selection. Ok desserts. Love this place my family and I go there at twice a month ohh did I mention the redneck nachos

Atlanta has so many great bbq places. This is one of them. Clean, great beer selection, nice outside dinning available. More importantly-Great ribs, collard greens, and okra. The nearly perfect supper place. Really good value for the money also. I would have given 5 stars but the guy taking our order clearly did not like his job and wasn't too fond of us either. Maybe his dog just died or something. Whatever. The food is too good not to make this place one of my favs! Be sure to try their vinegar bbq sauce. Oh my hell that's good!

  • Sandra B.

Maybe I came on a bad day, but I was thoroughly disappointed with my meats. Both the brisket and pork were overcooked and dry. Perhaps some people like drowning their food in sauce, but I like it best when the meat can stand alone. The mac & cheese was not any better. There are definitely better BBQ places a little further down Roswell Road.

Great 'que. Pulled pork is smoky, delicious and consistent. Good sides. Cold beer. Can't go wrong here.

I was tired when I ordered to go, but I thought the ribs came with a side of BBQ sauce. Maybe I just forgot to ask for it? But who goes to a BBQ spot, orders ribs and does not want BBQ on their ribs? Maybe it's just me. It's in my hood so it's quick and easy when I want food and go home. Its BBQ (minus BBQ sauce sometimes). Can you tell I am upset I didn't get my sauce? My advice is check your order before you leave or request the stuff. Overall it's okay. The ribs were eh without the sausce so maybe not having it clued me in to the real deal. I had some collard greens and green beans with it and they really were not the most flavorful bunch of veggies. I have tried the pull pork and that was better. The location is casual and you order at the counter to stay or go. They have a beer fridge and some video games for the kids. It's okay for something quick and you're in the neighborhood.

I just flew into atlanta and was too exhausted to go venture out to find something to eat after I got to my hotel. I found this place in the hotel book and figured I would give it a try. It was amazing i forgot how much i missed southern bbq. Got the beef brisket and it was so good

First timers. I got 1/2 pound of brisket and Brunswick stew. The lady got pulled pork sandwich with mac n cheese and broccoli. Prices were usual for a BBQ joint, I understand I'm going to pay more because they actually have some time invested in their dishes. However, the single side of stew, while good, wasn't worth the little amount they give you. The mac n cheese and broccoli certainly weren't worth writing home about. I wanted to be wowed after hearing about this place. The pork and brisket were tender nothing unique in the flavor department. In the end it was very satisfying but nothing spectacular. It helps that they deliver and they have MOON PIES! very docile atmosphere and friendly service.

  • April H.

BBQ pork was great! The tea was wonderful too. However, the Mac and cheese was way over cooked, the broccoli was undercooked and covered in garlic. This could be a great place if they would work on the side items.

I love this place. Great place to have lunch. Food is delicious. They even offer up some hard to find soda creams via can. Love the fact they even have a pac man machine in here. You can't go wrong. Bathrooms don't have the freshest scents to them is a mild drawback.

We recently had Pig-N-Chick cater my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. We had beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked wings, Brunswick stew, beans and slaw. Leading up to the event I received email and phone calls confirming the order details. The food was delivered on time and set up nicely by the delivery staff. We received many complements from the guests regarding the food. It was very good. Thanks to Jim Graddy, Bill Marrack, and Chris @ Pig-N-Chick! David H

Do you ever have one of those days you don't feel like leaving the house & stayin in your jammies then you smell the neighbors grilling out and your stomach gets to grumbling and well cooking is not an option ? If you're tired of Chinese and a bag of popcorn won't due try Pick n Chick they deliver, the b.b.q. is reliable so all you have to do is make a phone call and it will show up in a jiffy. Eat yourself silly, relax, then back to bed for a nice nap sounds good right ? Ribs are ordered on occasion while not my favorite (in town) are tender, the Smoked Turkey & Pulled Pork will satisfy. Oh my the Smoked Wings (.50 each) mmm I've become a bit addicted to these they are highly smoked, seasoned and need not a drop of sauce. All meats can be bought as sandwiches, plates or by the pound and several sides can be purchased in two sizes. Moon Pies large or minis can be snapped up at the counter. Sauces are on the tables if you are getting delivery let them know what kind(s) you want. Beer is in the cold case and catering can be done. Sometimes when walking the dog a pit stop is made here the staff will even bring the dog water, nice. Pick n Chick closes at 9:30 just be there before then or you may not get what you hoped for.

Great BBQ! Always consistently good. I love the variety of sauces. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. I took two people from Kansa City yesterday who claimed that they have the best BBQ in the country. Afterwards they agreed that the BBQ was fantastic. They told me they will come back on their next trip to Atlanta.

Got some to go today, pulled pork was great, Brunswick stew was not lol kinda watery and bland. Might give it a try again but as of now it's worth the extra 2 minutes to drive to The Greater Good BBQ down the street

I have tried Pig N Chik through various deliveries made for lunch to my job. The ordering of the food can be cumbersome at times as whoever answers the phone can sometimes be rude, sarcastic or otherwise trying to make an excuse to not take your order via the phone. But once the ordered is placed and the food is in transit the delivery times are reasonable. The taste of the food and meats are great! The meats have lovely, smokey flavor and I only eat the turkey and chicken. They have really good sauce especially the hot vinegar based sauce. The sides are good as well, their Brunswick stew is good, their mac & cheese is ok and their other sides are good as well. Overall good solid BBQ place just wish they would get a better person who answers the calls for deliveries, it would make me and my co-workers more likely to send more business their way or possibly cater an event.

3.5 stars.5 its good, its not GREAT. But its damn good pulled pork. It lacks a bit of flavor alone, so it needs a lot of sauce. But the meat is super tender. The sauces are good too. The sides , some great, some ok. Fried okra is a must!! Mac and cheese is solid, hushpuppies pretty good, the corn and french fries should be skipped. The brunskwick stew is alright. I like the spot a lot. The staff is really friendly, its priced well, televisons on the football games with volume up which is nice and there is outdoor seating. They also have trivia on thursdays, we wanna give that a try, sounds fun. They also have alot of good beer. The only reason I can't give a hiring rating is their health score was an 87..... I probably won't return until thats fixed. Other wise, solid spot.

Just had the chopped brisket. Easily the worst bbq I've ever had. The brisket was extremely dry. Tasted like it was sitting around for a few days. Also had the Brunswick stew. Terrible. The tea was good, lol

A solid BBQ place. Pulled pork sandwiches are pilled high so you won't go hungry! broccoli has fantastic seasoning. The only drawback for me is the sauces. the thickest sauce is somewhat sweet and the other two are watery. BBQ is always about personal taste however. bottom line. One of the better nearby, just not the best.

I decided to try Pig n Chik bc I live near by on Roswell Rd. I order the pulled chicken sandwich with mac n cheese and baked beans... The chicken was good, but It wasn't "pulled," it look more like chunks of chicken. The sauce was my favorite part, the right amount of tangy and spice.... Unfortunately, the collards, mac n cheese and baked beans lacked flavor. I had to add salt to every side that I ordered. The mac n cheese tasted like easy mac, not like the baked mac n cheese I was expecting from a BBQ restaurant. I also wish that the sauce was not on the side.... Next time I'll go to Fatt Matts (yikes)

I love you. I seriously crave this BBQ place! I tried all the so-called "go-to" BBQ joints around town, but I always come back to you. You aren't fancy or pretentious. Sure there is an explosion of sports memorabilia and such everywhere that rivals any TGIFriday's, but I didn't come here for your looks. I came for the food! I've had almost everything from ribs to pulled pork (all delicious)...but my favorites are below: The chopped/pulled chicken plate is my regular order and I love that there is an offering of different sauces that range from spicy to vinegary. The broccoli, tater salad, okra are my favorite sides. The macaroni and cheese isn't the best, but I came for the meat baby! Once I tried some chicken wings and now I order that too every time I come over to your place. The smoked wings and lemon pepper are delicious! I wish you offered better blue cheese though, that would send it over the top. I live near all three locations and that is just trouble for me.

I was totally going to take a picture of my wings but then they arrived on the table and I forgot, sorry. My favorite way to eat BBQ is on a baked potato which doesn't seem a popular way around here? (Seriously if someone knows where I can partake in this without going back to Chattanooga pls share) So honestly I am not a very big BBQ person. They do have something similar here with BBQ pork on fries (redneck nachos or something like that) but I'm not a pork fan at all and fries are not baked potatoes. I will say though the chicken here is awesome. I'm not much of a one thing on a sandwich person so I got a plate with mac and cheese and Brunswick stew. Their hot BBQ sauce is awesome, it's a bit tangy from vinegar yet nice and spicy. It is perfect with chicken. The mac and cheese is pretty good, and honestly it was the first time I had Brunswick stew...I decided I had to try it. So I really have nothing to go on, but I thought it was pretty good. Today I was feeling like wings though, so I got hot wings with carrots. They were also really good, though I wish I had gone for smoked ones. They were all a nice size and pretty crispy. I find the dining room totally adorable...and best of all they were playing hockey on TV! :O Not too far from home, so I will probably be back many more times.

I have very few favorite BBQ spots and this one is in the top contenders on my list. I go here on a regular basis and find their pulled pork is consistent and very good. It's hard to find decent BBQ in the city and there are several places in close proximity and none of them even come close to Pig N Chick. Their ribs are very good, chicken is great. The sides are more than satisfactory. The only exception I have with Pig N Chick is their Brunswick Stew. It's like some black pepper in water with a little boiled hamburger in it. Very poor excuse for Brunswick Stew with everything else being so high quality. They have their own sauces which you can buy bottled. I have all three and use them often with my own BGE creations. MUCH better than any store bought sauces.

This place was amazing. A complete pig out experience if you ask me, but that's only because the food here is so good, I couldn't resist! We came here several times during the month I lived in Atlanta and it was a place that had friendly service, was clean, very casual, great for families and larger parties to eat at, and just a fun overall experience. Their BBQ meats are alright (you can find better in the A), but their sides are amazing and they have this mustard based sauce that is to die for! I just loved how unique this place is. Coming from up North the Southern hospitality is a real nice change :)

Atlanta has a serious problem. It believes that it knows bbq and has some authority to write Yelp reviews on such. I have had the fortune of traveling outside of Atlanta for some cue. My eyes were opened, I saw the light, that good cue is done in a smoker, for many, many hours, till the meat itself is the focal point of bbq, not the sauce. When you drive past these places, you smell the cue long before you get to the doors, it's this first experience that begins your lunch or dinner journey. When the meat is so tender, especially on a rib, that a plastic fork is all you need, it shaves off the ribs and you see the juices, and you can TASTE both the the quality of the meat itself.....smokey flavor infused into the meat, while retaining original moist, texture qualities... THAT is cue, only best described in a run on sentence. I had both the pulled bork and the ribs right before the lunch crowd, on a Saturday. The meat was not at all as I described above. It was only edible. It was not three star, it did not melt in my mouth, nor do I believe it had the capability to do so. The quality of the meat was just not there, nor was anything reflected in the meat of the cooking process. As for the sauce, now if I could just rate a sauce, I'd give it 4.5 stars. I do like a variety of sauces, and while this is a sweet full sauce, I really dig it. I could buy a bottle, but never darken the actual doors of the place again. I pray for you, Atlanta, that you will find the holy grail of cue, Pig N Chik does not hold it.

I've eaten here dozens of times over the years. Great place, nice people, and consistently good BBQ. Pulled pork sandwiches are big, hearty, tasty. This is the bbq I love, not smothered and covered in sauce, the meat flavors really come thru. They do a great job!

  • Anna A.

This place is great. No fuss. Cheap and good bbq. Memphis style dry rub bbq that you add your own sauce to. Good char on meat and good variety of sides. Collards were fresh and flavorful, Mac and cheese decent and creamy yummy potato salad. My favorite thing was the vinegar- based hot bbq sauce! That is super hard to find at restaurants outside of West Tn and as a native M emphian I was so happy to find a place that served my ideal sauce.

  • T-Nicole T.

Not good. My husband orders brisket, no flavor. I ordered pulled pork, no flavor. Our food was bland. It was just some dry meat. And it was not clean. I should have known there was no flavor because I didn't smell the food, just the wood burning. Horrible. Don't waste your time or money. If you've eaten barbecue before you won't be impressed. If this is the best barbecue Atlanta has to offer them only get it from the surburbs. Go to Jim N Nicks. They have good food.

Ordered dinner from here for a friend who's sweet baby underwent open heart surgery and when the driver showed up at Egleston to deliver the food he REFUSED to give it to them because they didn't have my cc (why would they??). I called the manager and explained the situation and she said "We all have family issues. I'm not having the food delivered." Can not believe how terrible this service was!!!!!

For openers, if you believe, as does the Brown Shoe Gourmet, that the best barbecue is found in hole-in-the-wall places with just enough grease on the table to write your initials, bars on the windows and where you wouldn't go at night - then this place is not for you. But then you'd be missing probably the best pulled pork in Atlanta and likely the only place serving pork rinds (a southern delicacy at $2.75 a serving). Making the place even more unusual is the fact that it's in a strip mall on the ground floor level just below a gym. So, while you're pigging out (pun intended) you see folks going up the stairs ready to try and work off that which you're just about to put on. The PnC pulled pork (arriving on a thick, thick slice of great American white bread) with a nice char aided by a good rub. It's moist and has the flavor of smoke without being too much of a good thing. Don't know of anyone in the area with better. Their pork rinds are light, and with the hot sauce, a joy to behold. For a guy who's spent a lifetime in pursuit of the perfect barbecue (read my other reviews) this is, I believe, the only place I've been to serving pork rinds. Their beef is good, not great; the chicken has a nice smoke flavor and is almost very good. Three sauces: the traditional tomato based which is thick and full flavored and a favorite of this barbecue fan. The hot sauce really isn't all that hot and the mustard based sauce is great if you're a Carolinian who's lost their way. The only real issues with PnC, aside from fast service, clean tables and an unending supply of tea or lemonade, is their sides. The Brunswik stew is water, has chunks of potato, corn niblets and pork... and despite all that really is one of the better stews about town. Even a little spicy., The rest, mac-n-cheese, slaw, potato salad, baked beans are fair to middlin' and, as a result, disappointing when you consider the quality of the meats. Pig-n-Chik would merit a full five stars if they worked on those sides, and maybe even added some hand cut fries.

The Pig-N-Chik is a pretty decent Q joint. I think the food served at the Peachtree Industrial area might just have this location's food beat by a bit, seems like they could have used a little more smoky flavor. Last night we hit up this location of Pig-N-Chik because we were craving BBQ and this is the closet we have. We almost made the drive to Fat Matt's or Fox Bros, but decided with the traffic that we'd just go here. I ordered the sliced brisket with mac and baked beans as my sides; the girl got the pulled pork with mac and Brunswick stew. The brisket was good, but the pulled pork was way better. As far as the sides they were not all that great, the mac n cheese had little taste, the beans tasted like Bush's canned beans, and the Brunswick stew just didn't do it. Although I've had a lot better bbq the Pig-N-Chik did the job. The main dish was good, but the sides need a little work. The service was great and friendly. A good solid bbq place for being in Buckhead / Sandy Springs.

I am thankful Pig N Chik is near Krogers because we had to return a RedBox movie and it is perfect that we didn't have to leave the parking lot to go out to eat. Also, the person taking our order was super nice and the food came out very promptly. I thought the sides were decent (I got corn and the mac and cheese) but wasn't a huge fan of the pulled pork for some reason. There are better BBQ places in Atlanta, for sure, but I am thankful there is at least one BBQ option near Krogers for convenience sake.

If there was a way to get this place zero stars I would have! I was calling in an order for a catering event for 150 people. I was on speakerphone because in the state of Oregon it is illegal to talk on the phone while driving which is where I was at the time. The gentleman that answered the phone was very short and would not speak to me if I left him on hands-free. Icon up and he proceeded to call me back to tell me it was not ill legal, to slow my driving down, and give me other advice. What a jerk. He lost probably $500-$600 worth of business because of his ego. I guess he has no idea what customer service is. Good thing there is Fat Matt's barbecue!

Passed this for years and finally decided to stop for lunch. Full house but could still find a table without much wait. There was really only one thing on the menu I had to have -- redneck nachos. Who can say "no" to French fries covered in BBQ meat, cheese and choice of sauces. Price not too bad for a lunch. It was a successful visit because I've wanted to nap all afternoon.

I have to start off by saying that I eat Pig-N-Chik probably more than any other restaurant in Atlanta because it's close to the house, affordable, and slap your momma good. I just haven't had a chance to review until now: Atmosphere- The way a BBQ place should be in my opinion, casual/ simple/ local pictures/ mouth watering BBQ smell, 2 televisions for watching sports. It's in a strip shopping center w/ a Kroger so it doesn't look like much from the outside but very comfortable on the inside. Drinks- They have a decent variety of craft beer including all the local breweries but you can also get lagers like PBR and other draft beers at cheap prices. The pitchers are served in gallon jugs. If you're not drinking beer then the sweet tea is excellent and they have lemonade, RC Cola, and typical soft drinks. Food- The pulled pork is some of the best I've had in Atlanta and I love all their sauces. If I'm not getting the pulled pork then the bbq chicken or their buffalo wings (fried) are also excellent choices! The only disappointment is their side items and the bread which is the only reason I give this place a 4 instead of 5. Overall- A must eat BBQ restaurant if you live in the Sandy Springs/ Buckhead area. Delicious food, great atmosphere, good people.

If I could give no stars I would. My son had the most disgusting celery and ranch served to him with his wings... the celery was slimy When I complained, it made no impression on the staff... would never return

Oh yeah, I'm a fan. And this is why: 1) Super close proximity to my parents' house. 2) Delightful pulled pork, served on thick white bread. I got a few yucky end pieces, but all in all it's seriously solid. Lies somewhere between Dreamland and Fox Bros. in terms of quality BBQ. 3) Great beer selection. Even though we did take out, I took notice of the litany of local selections, as well as a gluten free option in addition to cider. Yay for beer. 4) A nice selection of sides. Whether you're craving mac and cheese, slaw, baked beans, or hushpuppies, they've got it. Good for those who like options, bad for those (like me) who are incredibly indecisive.
