Never a complaint. Variety of pizzas. I'm a fan of the philosopher's pie and the Caesar. Good quality pizza and always smiling faces ( not fake smiles, there's a difference ) at the door. No delivery on Saturday.

Good spot for a hoagie on a weeknight for a solo traveler in the hotel/conference district. It was affordable and had a nice chat with the local servers. If I were in a group, the pizza choices looked good. All veg entrees are clearly marked on the menu. All around good stop after a travel day.

Our meals were delicious. I had a list of restaurants to try on our visit to Atlanta but ended up at Mellow Mushroom at least once a day because everybody in our party enjoyed it so much. One of the best Caesar salad's I've ever had, great pizza and garlic bread, too. Wish we had a Mellow Mushroom in Michigan.

I've been to this Mellow Mushroom location many times. In total I've been served by 4-5 different servers from the multiple times that I've been here and each one checked in on the table frequently (Even when the restaurant was very busy), and made sure we had everything we needed. On top of the great servers I love 3 dishes in particular, the hummus, cheese calzone with light jalapeno peppers, AND Magic Mushroom Soup. If someone wants a meal on the cheaper side, I'd go for Hummus for the table, and the Magic Mushroom Soup for each person, it fills you up, and taste incredible.

Great place, awesome service...Lexi was amazing and stumbled in on the 40th anniversary...good job!!

Really cool place. Great service from the moment you walk in. There was even live music on this Friday night. Awesome mushroom soup. Good beer selection. Even though I know they are a pizza place, I did the build your own salad which was really cool. Cool decor as well. A great laid back, fresh food, chill kinda place.

I was in Atlanta and I was with a friend who is a big Mellow Mushroom fan. The food was surprisingly decent, but the waiter here was very good.

Always enjoy the mellow Greek salad. $3 Sweet Water craft beers!! Fun atmosphere, family friendly, unique pizzas.

I can't even describe how much I love this pizza. The wheat crust is delicious with Parmesan sprinkled on it, it's amazing. I got the house special, which basically has everything on it and it was SO good!

Wonderful friendly service. I love this place for a quick meal. The pizza is very good--not the best. The decor is very interesting. Garlic bread was a little disappointing.

It was pretty good. Had the bbq chicken pizza and thought it better than CPK's version, especially the crust. I would come back again if ever in the area.

Very good pizza! Best I've had in a while! The meatballs are really good as well, which we had as an appetizer. The waitress could've been a little more welcoming and positive, but the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall good experience.

We ordered the bruschetta and the mega veggie pizza. The bruschetta was very nice and so was the pizza. The pizza had plenty of vegetables, fresh ingredients and was flavored mildly. The bruschetta had tomatoes, garlic and plenty of feta cheese with balsamic vinegar. Was a good experience

hmm not a fan of soggy pizza. came with some coworkers and they enjoyed the pizza so i guess some people like they're pizza soggy and doughy.... the menu does have quite a lot of pizza combos you can try, but i prefer real ny style pizza!

Great flavors/toppings and perfect thickness. My friend had been raving about this place for months before I finally visited Atlanta. Not the best pizza place I've been to (I've been to a lot), but still a great spot.

Mellow Mushroom is the bomb. When I lived in North Carolina, we ate at the shroom allllll the time. The pizza is fresh and the crust is light and airy yet thick. Being originally from Chicago, I prefer thin crust (real Chicagoans only eat deep dish when their friends are visiting from out of town). Mellow consistently hits the spot. I don't know if they put crack in the Italian sausage but it is crumbly seasoned perfection. The gluten free pizza crust is made with special care and guess what? It doesn't taste like a wheat replacement product. It's delicious. The salads are awesome too. You can make your own, which I'm a big advocate of. Service is usually good although last time the server didn't know what vegan meant (even though they advertise vegan cheese on their menu). But after explaining no cheese and no butter, we were on our way to pizza perfection. Nothing is bad here.

Solid place. Our server was great - very mellow and gave great recommendations. The pretzels app was huge and delicious, as was the spinach dip. The drink menus were a bit lacking as they were missing a lot of the beers and didn't give us a full cocktail menu. The pizzas were amazing. I got the red skin potato and it was so good. Chewy thick crust and delicious toppings. It reminds me of a casual Bertucci's with better pizza. I could barely finish half of it (after eating those pretzels). I wouldn't make a special trip but would go back if I was in the area.

This place was awesome (we sat outside). The mushroom pizza was very good. Our server Jeff was very knowledgeable about the beer selections and other attractions in the Atlanta area. Next time we visit we will be stopping by again for sure.

I had been to a different Mellow Mushroom location another time in Atlanta, but this one was much fancier. It's located downtown kind of by the World of Coke and the aquarium, I think, and also near the Americasmart, where my conference was. I think we got a large pizza and was about $18, a little pricey but split between two people it was not as bad. I believe it was called the White Rabbit pizza, and it's specific to this location. It had pesto, olive oil, mushrooms, and all sorts of good stuff on it. Service was decent and I would come back to this location when in the area.

Good food, crappy service. The food came out very quickly. The waiter was very rude. No refills on our water and he tried to take our food away while we were still eating it. Then he told us "not to be rude" but we needed to leave because "people were waiting for tables." I didn't see a line but I did see about 7 empty tables--just not in his section. Probably won't come here again. I'm not sure what all the hype is about.

We're here from CA for a convention & we lucked into the Mellow Mushroom. The design is a little quirky, but the minute our server, Steven walked up to our group, the design didn't matter. He was professional, fun & made our experience memorable. The menu has a variety and the food was good. The hummus was fresh, the spicy shrimp was delicious & all the pizzas we tried were great!

I have tried to order from Mellow Mushroom downtown location for delivery on several occasions over the last 3 years. My experience 2 years ago resulted in a 90 minute wait with a 30 minute window and cold pizza. After a year a decided to give them another shot. Unfortunately this time resulted in the same. Quoted at 45 minutes, it again took 90 minutes and constituted cold pizza. I should preface this with the fact that I live only 6 blocks away from the location. My business at this point will go to Nancy's pizza, and though you look at a 45 minute wait for deep dish, at least it arrives before 60 minutes, hot and ready to eat, and they are much further away from my location. I would not recommend bothering with Mellow Mushroom. I, or my friends, will no longer be customers.

First let me say I am a native born New Yorker so pizza is something I think I know and know I enjoy. This place has a very different crust and dough. It is while airbrushed with garlic butter and has some cheese in It as well. Very tasty kind of light considering it really isn't as thin as I prefer. The staff is really nice and helpful. Kind of funky atmosphere but fun. Pretty reasonable and good. Fun place with lively crowd

I've been to this location a couple of times and i thought it was time for a review. The decor is whimsical and funky 70s vibe. They have a open air patio with a fire place but it was unlit. The wait staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve. My go to on the menu is the magic mellow mushroom soup and the enlightened salad. The soup is do rich and creamy with chunks of mushroom, green onion and cheese that fills you up. The enlightened salad is so minimal with the ingredients but it is soooooo good and everything goes great together. I love their pizza and calzones too. The portion sizes for the calzone was a little too big for my tastes but at least it can be shared between two people or you have the other half for leftovers. Their meatballs are yummy and their pretzels with different dipping sauces too. Great casual place to eat.

I am so happy I stopped in here to have a beer, work on my computer and relax. I had the door opened for me by the GM and was immediately met with smiles and help from the two men inside the door. The bartender, True Adderton, has kept me smiling and feeling more than welcome since I sat down at the bar. Lunch hour was hectic for all, but I was never slighted or had to wait for a refill or True asking if I needed anything. I was also impressed with how he took time to explain and answer any questions that all his customers had with complete and thorough ease. All the employees that I made eye contact with me smiled and were friendly, but I want to send out a special thank you to David Headley. He made sure I was taken care of and enjoyed my mushroom soup was good (It definitely was! Delicious!). I am about to order another beer now. :D Oh and I loved the 80's music!!!

I'm giving Mellow Mushroom a bad review because of poor service. Our food was sent to the wrong table and then our server brought them to our table. Frustrated with his service because he lied about them being sent to another table. Not cool! Just be honest!

When people travel, I think the natural tendency is to try all the fanciest restaurants the city has to offer. While we're not immune to this, we do however like to mix it up with some regular meals like a good pizza or burger & fries. After a series of really nice (but expensive) meals in the ATL, it was refreshing to just take a low-key walk across the street from the W to Mellow Mushroom. We started with the spinach salad which was fresh and tasty. This was followed by a pepperoni, mushroom, onion & basil pizza, The crust reminded me of really great NY pizza. The fact that we rapidly put away the whole large pizza between the two of us should attest to how good we thought it was. Coupled with great service, good drinks and a nice comfortable space, we really enjoyed Mellow Mushroom :)

Great location love the patio with the heaters, did not have beer menu on table and noticed after we left of the on tap beers, but pizza is great, service top notch, and free validated parking for 1 hour in garage, but beware garage is credit card only.

Looooove their pizza! Every time I'm in Atlanta and stay at The W, I've gotta get this pizza. They always deliver to me at The W, too.

We were on vacation, tired from our morning hike to Sweetwater Creek and very very hungry. In Georgia I feel like not too many restaurants are open until late or maybe we just didn't look hard enough because as I said we were really tired! Mellow Mushroom closes at 11 and for the whole hour that we were there, there was people always coming and going! The menu selection of drinks AND food is hugeeee, the names for the drinks and food selections are very creative, which I like! What I really liked about them was their originality. We ordered the Funky Q. Chicken Pizza which had : BBQ Chicken, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, caramelized onions, and Applewood smoked bacon. Yeah, it was as amazing as it sounds!! We ordered a medium pizza for two people, the slices were so big we had leftovers and we were very happy to have that for lunch the next day! Our server was very mellow :D and even though he was pretty busy he managed to get our food in time, our drinks refilled, etc... I have no complaints, definitely a great place for a late night craving of good pizza!

Since moving to ATL from Boston, I have yet to find good thin crust pizza. Everyone told that Mellow Mushroom. But while it is decent, it's nothing comparable to true crunchy thin crust :( The sauce was way to thick and had a weird off flavor that did not taste good at all to me. The crust was crunchy anywhere, not even on the bottom. I think Fellini's is the closest I've been able to find here. I don't think I'll be trying Mellow Mushroom again...

Service was ok. Food was not good. Salad lettuce was brown. I asked for an extra breadstick for my 2 year old and they said no! Ridiculous. Beer is good here though

ATROCIOUS SERVICE. We arrived around 8pm on Sunday, and save for 2 tables, the place was empty. Perhaps it was the just our bad luck to have this disaster of a waitress...highly inattentive, she was never around, and the couple of times we needed her we had to ask the other servers to hunt her down for us. When she did bother to reappear, she spilled water on one friend, and just shrugged and walked away; requests for plates and silverware were ignored. Although the other tables had left while were ordering, there was an inexplicably long delay in getting us our food (a good 30 minutes AFTER salads had been served), especially one pizza that came out 15 minutes after the other pizzas had been finally brought out. And towards the end when she came to clear off the table, she threw dirty napkins on a plate that one of my friends was still eating off of...same friend who had patiently waited for that last missing pizza. I am not a MM fan - we went on this night purely out of convenience, as it was walking distance from where we had gathered earlier - and this experience only served confirm why this chain doesn't do it for me...and that I will NEVER step foot in this particular one again.

I was in Atlanta this past weekend and I went to MM 2 days in a row (on the first day I went twice). I enjoyed the great service, the food was fresh and very tasty. I had been one time about a year ago but I just never had a chance to get back...geesh I have been missing out! The Chicken Philly is very good and I like that they offer wheat bread as a option. The BBQ oven roasted wings are AWESOME and the pizza is yummy as well. I enjoy going to a place where the menu offers health options that still are very good tasting. MM is a winner for sure. The W Peachtree location is super cute and the patio is very nice. I can not wait to go back in the spring time to enjoy it.

We spent a week in Atl in January and probably ended up eating there 10 times. The salads were great. The pizza delicious. Service was very attentive. Wings were fine, could have been a little better and I think they ran out of avocado while we there which was a bummer. We'll be eating there a lot again on next trip.

I've been to multiple Mellow Mushrooms in FL and GA and this location is the only disappointment. I mean, I'm still a fan of the food and the usual amount of TVs and good beer selection. This location does have good service and food, but the rest is seriously lacking. Small little TVs and there are only handful that are mounted by the bar. The beer selection is pretty small compared to the other locations I have visited and no beer club. Besides that, I really do enjoy their pizzas and chicken and cheese sub. I still go about twice a month and order pizza to carry out as well.

MMMMmmmmmm.... Mellow Mushroom. I've been to several MM's in my life, but what makes this one special is the 2 stories and the huge mushroom sculptures suspended from the ceiling. As always for the food, get one of the salads with esperanza dressing (I love that "hope" makes everything taste so good), and save the extra dressing to dip your crust in. J had a meeting during his usual lunch time, and I wanted to be able to get something quickly since he put off our lunch until 1 (when I normally eat my first lunch at 11...yes, I've got a newborn so I'm allowed to eat 2 lunches... and yes, actually, a 1pm lunch still allowed me to eat my first lunch at 11....). Lucky for me, there's 1 hour of free parking in the deck of the building, which has an entrance less than 100 yards down W. Peachtree from MM, meaning the servers gets you in and out as needed. For our weekly maternity leave lunch, we got the greek salad and a house calzone with added sausage to share. The house calzone comes with mushrooms (as does everything, as implied by the name), spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella, so the sausage just gives it a little more oomph. Their magic crust, sprinkled with herbs and parmesan cheese is what makes the calzone so good, but I'm a crust lover. Particularly when theirs is nice and crispy and you dip it in the esperanza dressing as previously mentioned. Staff here is friendly and efficient. They have free wifi, a good draft list, and tvs, and I've never seen it terribly crowded. There's a good selection of booths and tables, so you could actually hunker down and work if you needed to. I ate enough free pizza during college that I'm not the biggest pizza fan anymore - once a month is usually all that I can handle. But J loves it and could it eat every other day. Lucky for him, this MM is right across the street from his office, so he can get his fix whenever he needs it for lunch and not have to involve me. Then again, as delicious as the crust is a MM, I think I should consider eating it a little more often... #Yelp365 - 44/365

We came here twice last week for dinner: Once for dine-in and once for take-out. On Friday evening we dined in for pizza and wings. They had a guy in their playing music after 9. Service was great and food was delicious. I was honestly surprised thy weren't busier, but we aren't locals so maybe they get their dinner rush earlier in the evening. I really liked the decor and thought it was really neat that is was two stories (our local MM is single story). We came here again Sunday night for our take-out order. The bartender was super nice and got our take out order packaged and ready to go.

This is the quintessential delivery pizza. That said, I don't think they deliver! I'm referring to the style of pizza. Nice thin bottom, thick border, coated with butter/oil and sprinkled with cheese. Yum Yum. Ingredients are consistently good and the pizza comes out nice and crispy. They do trivia every now and then, and I've always had a good time there. Do arrive at least 20-40 minutes before trivia if you have a group and you want a table though. Maybe it isn't as cheap as Papa Johns, but it is worth twice the price easy.

Again, I don't like going to chains on vacation but we were appeasing our chinese group mate who loves this place. I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised, too. First of all, they had live music which really made the dinner. This guy could play/sing. He did mashups of old and new songs and honestly I could have listened to him all night. I wanted something "light" so I ordered a half greek salad and a half tempeh sandwich. Both were enormous and pretty good. I do wish the tempeh sandwich had more flavor to it. I ended up stealing some tzatziki sauce from someone who got it with their pizza. Service was good, atmosphere was great, downtown Atlanta was another story, but that's a review for another day.

If you are looking for good, cheesy, greasy, individual or multiple person pizza, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Conveniently located downtown, right off the 75/85 Exit. Even if you are coming from out of town, you can't go wrong OR get lost by choosing to stop at Mellow Mushroom. This place is quick, efficient, and tasty! I just had this pizza yesterday, This review is making me want another!

I've ordered take-out from here several times over the past few weeks - so far I've had salads and the Freshies pizza. I love the Brutus salad, but never mind about adding the jerk chicken. It was a waste of money. The food is good so far and a decent price. They have many veggie options on the menu. My only complaint is half the time they forget my salad dressing unless I specifically check and I always have to ask for silverware. I've ordered take-out. Please give me silverware.

Stayed at the W right across the street for the weekend and even though had enough pizza for a month, decided to give this ATL local a shot! And glad to have done so! The service was great, the pizza crust was delicious and the toppings were so fresh! The only thing I hope they change is go light on the cheese, specifically when asked to while ordering!

  • Amanda M.

Chicken Tortilla soup looks like chili. There is a pound of cheese on the Caesar. The pizza is bomb. The honey parmesean crust is amazing and the entire crust of the bread is crispy. They put whole strips of bacon on the meat pizza. HOLLERRRR

About 12 of us go here every week for Team Trivia and we've had generally positive experiences most times we've come down. I wasn't ever a huge fan of the pizza at MM, but I've found this location makes consistently good pies. You'll be happier with the more exotic pizzas and when you pile on the toppings! Their chicken caesar salad and pretzels are also excellent. Warm chicken on the salad with great dressing makes all the difference. My favorite server is Emily. She's very attentive and makes everyone at the table feel welcome. Also, this is the classiest mellow mushroom I've been to. Instead of tons of murals painted by stoners, they gave some stoners a blow torch and some metal and they made gigantic metal mushrooms hanging from the ceiling.

I have been a big fan of Mellow Mushroom living in Georgia and have been since moving away years ago. They don't have this on the west coast we had to eat here while visiting and it was right across the street from where we were staying at the W Downtown. ATMOSPHERE: Like any other Mellow Mushroom I have been to with "groovy" décor. Clean and colorful. This location has a first and second floor. The bar area with plenty of flat screens. FOOD: We ordered 1/2 and 1/2 1. The Dude - bacon and ranch themed pizza. Yum! 2. Thai - cheese, thai chili sauce which was a little sweet and chicken. Also good. 3. Pretzels - 1 of each salt, parmesan and cinnamon. Parmesan is by far my favorite. 4. Chocolate brownie sundae dessert - just ok. The brownie wasn't as moist and dense as I would have hoped. 5. Beer - we just ordered Miller Lite but they do have various assortment of beers. SERVICE: Very good and timely. No complaints. CONCLUSION: I love Mellow Mushroom still! Although the Dude and the Thai pizza are not my favorites it was still good. I love the dough/ crust! I will be back!

This is a nice Mellow Mushroom location. With it being near work, I've ate here several times for lunch. It has a good crowd but never packed. The decoration of the place fits into the hippy motif. The service has always been above average with the servers being generally cheerful. Other restaurants should take note. As for the pizza, MM is definitely in my top 10. While the toppings and cheese are delicious, I think what really sets MM apart from others is the crust. Softy and chewy mixed with parmesan cheese, it makes the pizza even better. A good experience all around.

Spinach salad (equipped with pecans, feta, and dried cranberries) and the medium cheese pizza were absolutely deeeelicious. Interesting atmosphere that I have no complaints about. The service was great, we had a server by the name of Brooke, she was extremely kind & helpful. Would definitely recommend.

My friends and I ordered 4 different specialty pizzas (Mighty Meaty, Mega Veggie, Kosmic Karma, and the House Special), all of which were excellent NY style pizzas. Very urban chic decor. Clean. Free parking in the adjacent parking garage, but the garage is creepy at night because there were a bunch of dudes just standing around with toolbags and walking back and forth around the cars parked in the garage.

Service was great. Out of all the restaurants I have been to since I have move to Atlanta, best service and staff!!! So made the experience even better. Food was great, pizza cooked just liked I wanted( I like it a little more crispy it came that way). Also got the meatballs came out cold but or server replaced it and they where pretty good as well. For pizza in Atlanta this is the place to go.

My co-workers and I are big MM fans - Monroe Drive was one of our favorite lunch spots before our office moved. So, we were excited to have a MM location near our new location. So, we went to have our favorite lunch specials (Mel and Double-Double). Not on the menu there. So I order my fave - the jerk chicken sandwich. "No chicken", we are told. But the waiter takes his time bringing us a menu to make another choice. And forgets to bring drinks. Or requested limes with the drinks. We make up our mind for Plan B, but no waiter. Finally we flag him down and he informs us that they somehow found chicken and our initial order was going through. Interminable wait, no refills. Some orders came out, others did not. And they were wrong. And the waiter didn't look interested in our situation. Someone else came out and apologized, but then walked away before we could mention some needs. Then, my sandwich came out. Burned. And chips were missing. We looked at other tables and they were having the same problems. A cheap sub at my desk would have been worlds better than this experience.

Wish there could be 1/2 stars as this is a place almost at the 4 stars. I had an early dinner after a day of meetings at a client. This was just around the corner from my hotel and seemed like a smart choice. I had the pretzel (small order) appetizer which was huge. I got the garlic/parmesan topping and they were hot and very yummy. Not sure though they qualify as pretzels since they were really made out of pizza dough. Maybe if I had just gotten the salt topping it would have felt more like a pretzel. Still, very good. They had Smithwicks on tap along with the other Guiness offerings and that made me happy. Hadn't had one in a while and it's mostly my summer beer, so it was nice to kick off the summer again. For dinner I had a cheese calzone with jerk chicken. It was really good and also, very huge. Jerk chicken had the right seasonings and had moments of "gotcha" in it, but with the cheese and the dough it does take it down a notch so it's not so spicy. I had never had jerk chicken in a pizza type fashion so I was being daring. Hey, cost was very good for the quantity you got and that was a major bonus too when traveling on business.

I gave this place a one star review about a year ago, which is all it deserved at the time. Now that it's been open a while it has gotten much better. The service is still very inconsistent. You'll either get somebody great, or one of those 20-something skinny-jean zombies that detest your very existence. The pizza crust used to be woefully undercooked, to the point that it was mostly raw dough. They use Bakers Pride HearthBake series ovens with ceramic decks, and when the restaurant opened they were set at 375, which is far too low for a busy pizza joint. The last few times I've gone in, our pizza and calzone crusts have been more thoroughly cooked, though there still is a noticeable gum line. Which is a shame, because the crust is good. It's a whole wheat dough sweetened with honey, and has those lovely little blisters that tell you it was fermented long enough. When cooked well, it's airy and chewy, but when underdone it's dense and flabby. When the place is very busy is when you are likely to get an undercooked pizza. The constant opening of the oven doors lowers the temp over 75 degrees, and they don't seem to compensate for that. This goes for every pizza place. But like I said, they are better about it now. Those are great ovens capable of making great pizza, if they'd just turn the temp up when they're busy. The cheese and toppings are standard, and nothing to write home about. I do like the house calzone with spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes (add sausage). The menu strongly suggests the meatballs for the meatball sub are homemade (it says they are rolled with love), but inquiry revealed that they are indeed frozen foodservice meatballs, meaning do not order the meatball sub under any circumstances. Likewise, the wings are very low grade institutional snack wings. All gristle and skin, yecchhy. Of note: they do have Coke Zero at the fountain. This is not really 3 star pizza; in any town with a decent pizza scene this would be considered toast with ketchup. But you're in Atlanta, an absolute barren wasteland of most traditional foods including pizza, hamburgers and barbeque. So here it's 3 stars.

    1. The SWEET TEA is just awesome!!! 2. Don't try to order a Pepsi. 3. Their hot cheese on the pizza is gooooooooooooey (in a good way). 4. They close at 11pm even if they forget to turn off their "OPEN SIGN." This place was very roomy with booth and table seating. The have tables on a second floor too if gets more crowded. They had a weird strange wooden statue of Budda I suppose right when you walk in. Weird. They use interesting sounding names, but you won't get the gist of it until you actually read the descriptions. They serve beer there too, and if you're lucky, you might be able to get a football bucket special or something where they give you 5 different beers for $10 bucks. My only complaint is, their pizza is kind of small. Even their small pizza look like a personal size pizza and we got that large that look likes a medium.

I have eaten at other Mellow Mushrooms but stopped in this one on a Saturday afternoon. I usually get the Jerk Chicken and Pineapple pizza or the hoagie and maybe some pretzels, but I couldn't decide so I got the calzone. The calzone was perfect! Cheesy but not a lot of ricotta, fresh ingredients and a tasty tomato sauce like the pizza, but my favorite part was the bread. I told my New York friends that while it's far from the most authentic calzone possible, it's certainly the best tasting I've had. The service was fine, people were friendly and reasonably attentive, and also took the time to fix their wi-fi when it went down rather than telling me to just reboot. If I am not too lazy to walk from my apartment I can see myself doing quite a few Saturday afternoons up there this summer.

I want to love Mellow Mushroom... The meatball appetizer, so good. The Bartender mixes up perfection (I daydream about my last now-and-later tasting vodka-based drink). The service though, flat out horrible. 45 minutes for a to go order, not acceptable!

Okay, so usually I don't write reviews at two or three stars... BUT, you have a right to know. And who better to tell you! I keep trying Mellow Mushroom restaurants because of some haunted past where I had a number of good pizzas. If you read my reviews of this particular store, and the store in Ballantyne Charlotte, you'll understand my deep disappointment. So why two stars? Why not 1... why not none? Well, I try to balance everything. So here is your balance. When I arrived, I was seated quickly. My server arrived promptly. When I ordered a drink, it came cold and in a big cup. (1 star... I know, I'm way to easy!) The second star was for my server. He was great. Attentive and courteous. He came by several times. Filled my drink, asked me if I wanted a to go cup... TWO STARS! Now here comes the tough part. The pizza that I SOOOOO loved in the past, was awful! It wasn't cooked all the way, it was doughy, the cheese was tasteless. What happened to this chain!? I had their Magic Mushroom Soup, It was barely warm. Not a great experience. It will be a long time before I give this chain another chance. Sorry Mellow Mushroom, you've mellowed far too much for my liking!

Some may call me a gluton for punishment, but friends wanted to so I said yes. Our server made all the difference, pizza was great.

We stayed a the W across the street and decided to go to the first restaurant we saw. Decor seemed like Atlanta's version of our Applebee or TGI Friday. Service was great, and food was pretty good. We had a medium pie with jalapeno, tomatoes and extra cheese and their buffalo wings. We had it again the next day. Only bad thing was their buffalo wings only came in 5 and 10 pieces I was looking for at least a 20 piece.

This is a tricky one. The food was great. The service was...both terrible and great. I think we arrived for lunch right at shift change and got lost in the shuffle. We waited at least ten minutes before anyone even checked to see if we had a server. A very concerned and kind host took our order and then the server who was supposed to be helping us showed up and the order was transfered from one to the other. Consequently everything we orderedwas wrong. We got the wrong salad, only one of our 2 pizza orders was submitted and we waited probably 15 minutes for our drinks, which would have been wrong if not for a last minute correction. My buddy and I shared my 10" pizza while her 's was baked on the fly. The server was really embarrassed and paid for the late pizza. The owner came out and checked on us and sent the kindly host to check on us several times as well. They were aware that the service was sub-par and really worked to make up for it. In the end everything was good and we were satisfied. The place is brand spankin' new, I think they just need to work out the kinks. The decor is totally far-out! Amazing giant mushrooms made of copper hang from the ceiling. I think the place has a lot of potential. I'll give it another shot.

It took 3 hours for our office order to be delivered... a small pizza and two salads. Cold pizza and wrongly made salads. Total fail by these people.

This was my first experience of a Mellow Mushroom Pizza and it was good. I mean really good. the pizza is thin with nice and crispy crust. cool looking place too. I would definitely go back. The only thing is that it is a little more expensive than I'm used to. 4 adults, with 2 pizzas, 3 sodas, 2 salads was $60

This is the only Mellow Mushroom location I've ever been to that had fast service. They seem to be very well staffed and managed. Two girlfriends and I walked over to MM for lunch and were in and out in less than an hour. They even quickly brought us our three separate checks right after our food came out, as we did have time constraints that day and couldn't take any chances with our time. It was a little strange to get used to the huge room; it's really expansive for a neighborhood pizza place (Esp for MM). But I found I really enjoyed sitting up on the 2nd floor. We also noted that the downtown waiters are extra cute! :)

Mellow Mushroom crust is the best ever. Also, I love that they deliver to our house downtown, they are very prompt, and the food is consistently yummy. The chef salad topped with grilled chicken is my favorite. My husband likes the White Pizza. If I go for Pizza, the Mighty Meaty is awesome. The dine-in experience is also very family friendly, and there is good outdoor seating. The upstairs semi-private area is great for a large group if you want your own space. The downside is that it is just pizza, and it is a chain.

I had the holy shitake pie. It was decadent and delicious. It was 10 p.m. when we arrived, and there was only one other party and people at the bar. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Overall, a great experience, and we look forward to going there for late night snacks.

Food was fine. Service was slow as hell. It was 4:00pm on a Sunday and we were two people waiting a crazy amount of time for a server, then our food, then refills, then our checks. It's was far more than half empty in there. Why so slow?

I got here 7 minutes after close, and they still hooked me up with a great pizza. The service couldn't be nicer and even though this place is huge, it is nice and cool inside, a great escape from the Atlanta heat.

Really great place for a slice of pizza and cocktails after work. The staff is super friendly, efficient, and they allow motorcycle parking inside the gates of their outdoor dining area. Highly recommend!

The pretzels were pretty good ( salt with mustard dipping and grated cheese and pizza sauce). I ordered the steak, cheese, onions and peppers calzone. The portion was pretty large but there was absolutely no seasoning. Would not order again. Service was pretty good considering we were a large party of 10.

"Oh, we don't deliver at night time." Cool, it's Sunday at 6:45pm, I'll take my business elsewhere. Review is based solely upon service as the food was unattainable.

Food is great! Service is the best I've had in Atlanta. Our server Jeff was very knowledgeable, personal and attentive. Manager that was on duty was great as well. Definitely plan on coming back next time I'm in town!

Really fast, fairly cheap. The pizza I had (veggie) was cooked really well, thick, flaky crust. Not greasy at all. Really great service and a fun place to hang out!

Great service, great food. We ordered the Mediterranean pizza, the garlic butter and Parmesan pretzels and the beer cheese. I recommend it all - especially the beer cheese!

Fun atmosphere, creative pizzas, crispy-chewy crust, good draft beer selection, and trivia on Thursdays. Win!

Service is great. Our server was attentive. Food was okay - nothing spectacular. I forgot how expensive pizza can be when you don't order from Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Our "large" pizza was $20~ and it was pepperoni only. We also ordered caesar salad and buffalo wings. The bill came out to almost $50 for two folks.

I had the jerk chicken sandwich and an order of wings. I was in Atlanta on a business trip, and I have to say that the food was pretty good for my new york standards. The portions were very generous and it was refreshing to have the sandwiches called hoagies. Our waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Since Atlanta is crawling with this place the fiancé & I decided to give it a try. We throughly enjoyed Mellow Mushroom. The service was outstanding. Very friendly, polite & attentive. The pizza was great! We got a pepperoni and bacon and it was delicious. We also ordered the Garlic Pretzels and they were very good. The pricing is also very good, not expensive at all. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for some good, nicely priced pizza.
