On our way to my VERY first Dragon*Con experience, my friends and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat. It was almost 8 pm on a Friday, and we agreed that the food court at the Peachtree Center would be the best bet since we wanted to eat fast and head over to Dragon*Con as soon as possible. When we arrived at the food court, we were offered samples of food from several different restaurants. Although two of my friends ended up getting their meals from a competitor, I thought Malibu Wings' sample - Malibu Chicken - tasted the best, so I headed back to purchase my meal from them. The woman who had handed me the sample from Malibu Wings also gave me a card, which was basically a business card/coupon, for the Dragon*Con Special they were offering. The special consisted of "2 Chickens + 2 Sides for $5.99," which is a pretty good deal considering we were in Downtown. I knew that I definitely wanted the Malibu Chicken since I liked the sample, but I was indecisive about the second chicken option. Fortunately, they had no problem giving me a sample of the Spicy Malibu Chicken per my request. Since I thought it was pretty good, I went ahead and got it. For my two sides, I chose rice and green beans. As I was getting ready to pay for my meal, the cashier asked if I wanted a large drink for $1. I normally get ice water (hey, it's usually free and healthier than soda!), but I was told that they charge 50 cents for a cup of water. Who charges for ice water?! No thanks... I went ahead and just got a large Diet Coke for $1. At least it was cheap and they offered free refills... Overall, Malibu Wings gets 3.5 stars for an affordable, better-than-average food court meal. Since they were extremely busy due to Dragon*Con, they were serving food that was fairly freshly prepared instead of sitting around under heat lamps all day. Both the regular and Spicy Malibu Chickens were ever-so-slightly crispy on the edges and flavorful. The rice and green beans were decent, and I was satisfied with my meal. I'm curious about their chicken wings and may return if I ever find myself at the Peachtree Center food court. I would recommend Malibu Wings to friends and other Dragon*Con attendees. I stumbled across this place when Atlanta received the snow disaster, my sister and I couldn't find any place that was open so we decided to see if peachtree center had any places open since it's a big food court. the people here offered us a sample and it was extremely good. They had a special that had two meats and two sides for 5.79 which I thought was great and they gave us A LOT of food. Once we got back to our dorm room the food tasted kinda dry ( just the chicken ) but it was still good. I figured they must have given us so much food because no one was coming to the peach tree center with there being snow everywhere. So a few weeks later, I was on my lunch break and I decided to try this place again. They still had their 5.79 special and they gave me a lot of food yet again and this time it was perfect. If I wasn't trying to watch what I ate, I would probably be here every day. This place is amazing for such a good price.

Malibu Wings is a fast food Chinese joint located inside the Peachtree Center Mall food court. There are about 2-3 of these Chinese food court stalls at Peachtree Center, all competing against one another. After trying the food at the other stalls, I think Malibu Wings has the best-tasting food. It's also the best value. The standard going rate for a Styrofoam-boxful of food in these parts is $5.99. Sometime in 2013, Malibu Wings lowered its special pricing to $5.75 to one-up the competition. The special is called the "Malibu Special" and includes any two chicken selections and any two sides. The portion size is quite generous, so the special is certainly a nice deal. The chicken they like to sell hard is the "Malibu" chicken. It does taste good and is arguably the tastiest chicken at Peachtree Center. Small chunks of chicken are breaded, deep-fried, and tossed in a savory and rather sweet sauce. The sauce is somewhat rich. All said, this chicken cannot be healthy for you, but it goes down easy. If you go during a peak time, you may be able to catch the owner or one of the cooks breading and deep-frying the chicken. At least you know it's fresh. There's a spicy version of the Malibu chicken too, but it's only mildly spicy. If you want spicy chicken, go to Bistro 7, another Peachtree Center Chinese food court stall, and get the "fire chicken." Side items include carbs (rice and noodles) and veggies. The rice is yellow rice and comes with chopped carrots. I like the noodles here the best because of the quality. That said, quality is relative. The noodles are lo mein noodles. My favorite side to get here are the steamed vegetables. These include broccoli, carrots, and cabbage -- basic, but a healthy alternative. One observation I've made is the rice or noodles count as one of your sides. At the other Chinese places, this is not the case. However, putting rice or noodles in one of the side compartments of the box means more space for the meat. Therefore, I've surmised that Malibu Wings is still the top value in the food court. If you finish an entire Malibu special, you will be stuffed. With a name like Malibu Wings, you wouldn't think it'd be Chinese food. And yes, they sell wings too. There are about a half dozen wing flavors including honey, BBQ, teriyaki, lemon pepper, spicy Malibu, and buffalo. You can get a dozen wings for $7.49. Fried shrimp and fish are sold as well. Service is efficient. If you order water, they may try to upsell you bottled water. If you don't want bottled, tap is available (free). Overall, I find Malibu Wings to be one of the most reliable and affordable food court options at Peachtree Center Mall.

Worst customer service I've had in a while. I don't know what is wrong with these businesses now in days. It's not worth talking about. Just don't go there.

I eat at Peachtree Center often, and this is one of my favorite spots. The food is fresh at lunchtime, and the staff are really helpful. I have no idea how you can get this much food for about $8, including drink. They offer free samples, so taste everything and pick whatever tastes best to you. Minus one star because their health rating dropped to a "B" for a few weeks. It went back up to an "A", but be diligent and check the health department ratings! Highly recommend Malibu Wings at Peachtree Center.
