This is my favorite Thai restaurant to get Chicken Pad Thai! I've come here a number of times to order the same plate and it's been constantly delicious! We went there on a Sunday around 7pm and there was no wait. We had the choice to sit either inside the restaurant or outside on their patio. Our waiter was attentive and we got our meals rather quickly. I've also come here for lunch and the portion sizes are always perfect, not too much or too little! This restaurant is also on Scoutmob for 50% off your meal (up to $13.00). I definitely recommend this restaurant for folks looking for good Thai food in big or small groups.

    1. The food was good but lack the heat one might expect for Thai foodies. 2. basil rolls hmmm noodles were different ! Noodles seem to melt in your mouth ! Good roll and nicely presented. 3. I will and do Suggest this place remember to ask them to Add more spice no peanuts in my salad more cilantro ! Overall easy on the wallet and good food!

There is a special menu, that you have to usually ask for that contains items not on the main menu. Make sure to ask for the Seafood Fried Rice as it's one of the best dishes here at this restaurant, its not really traditional Thai food but it sure is delicious. Another item on the special menu is the Volcano Shrimp, which has a nice kick of spice to it, another one of my favorites. The service here is excellent by the way. The staff will give you great recommendations if you are not sure on what to get. They bring you extra spices like hot chili sauce without you even having to ask. They also like to check in on you just to make sure your experience there is a pleasant one. You can tell they have been trained well in customer satisfaction. Overall, this a great Thai restaurant that I will definitely be coming back to. My Recommendations: -Volcano Shrimp -Seafood Fried Rice -Thai Tea -Coco Chicken Soup

Stopped by for Lunch today. The food was really good and the service was fast. We enjoyed the Chicken Pad Thai Noodles ($8.95), Coconut Soup ($4.75/cup) and Chicken Basil Fried Rice ($8.50). I would recommend this restaurant if you were in the area and craving Thai Food.

Jasmine green tea. Aromatic, filtered, free of tea leaves. Thai basil rolls (non fried). Light, fresh ingredients to prepare your palate before the main meal(s). Served with a semi-thick plum sauce. Crispy cheese rolls. I did not particularly enjoy this. The "cream cheese" was unexpectedly too liquidy and not the typical cream cheese flavor I expected. The menu boasts of "fresh crabmeat" but I only saw a few strands of what must have been this crab meat. Served with a sweet & sour sauce that was actually better than the appetizer itself. Tom yum goong. Light broth. Spicy and sour and packed full of flavor that breaks through possibly any congestion you might have. May be one of the best I've ever tried. Pad see ew. Chicken was a bit dry but the rest of the noodles was flavorful thanks to the sauce. I liked that it was on a thin sheet of fried (rice??) paper. Seats inside and outside. Ambience looks typical of "mom and pop" thai restaurants. Service is efficient and quick. Plenty of parking.

Pretty good thai food for this area of town. It's consistent and they will actually make your food thai hot if you ask, which I always appreciate! Repeats for me include the tom kha and red curry.

This is a new side of town for me that I am beginning to explore and it seems rich with dining options. Little Thai came up on my radar so I decided to give the restaurant a try. It is located in a corner of a strip mall near the busy Johnson Ferry. We chose to sit outside and I liked that the tables and chairs were not the standard black metal that makes tons of noise when you try taking a seat. A couple other groups were there as well, mostly local working professionals. Our server was very kind and seated us immediately and brought us some water. When we ordered a vegetable dish she recognized the appropriate questions to ask (is tofu OK, is egg OK), which I thought was very sharp of her to do. I chose Panang Curry with Pad See Ew and a Thai Iced Tea. The Panang portion may have been the lunch size, but filled me up plenty for a 1pm eat. The food was average for a Thai place, but I appreciated the pricing. I would return for the service, especially if I had a larger group since they seem accommodating!

Scoutmob Fail I saw this place on Scoutmob and decided to try it with my friend. The place was nice with the Thai decor. We ordered fried spring roll as our appetizer which had sooo much cabbage than anything. I didn't really like it . I ordered the masaman curry and my friend got chicken fried rice. The masaman was really good but the fried rice was okay. The food was decent, nothing special. When we got our check I showed our waitress the Scoutmob and she went back to change the bill but.......... It was only a dollar difference. False advertising! Don't put 50% off then put in small print up to $7 off. It was only the 2 of us and she added gratuity on there which was more on what they advertise. Scoutmob said 18% gratuity "may" be added. She decided to take a little extra and she was barely at our table. So overall, there was nothing special about their food and I won't be coming back.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE,THIS PLACE!...a few friends from work and I were regulars and would eat lunch here everyday (no judgement please). The panang catfish was the best and Wendy our waitress (yes OUR) is always polite and funny! I will always recommend Little Thai also for their coconut cake and chicken samosas!

This is a good contender for Thai in Sandy Springs. Not the best but I enjoy it more than Erawan but not as much as Bangkok Thyme. They're a good option for lunch in this area. Curries and classic Thai dishes are solid. I like that they use a rice paper "bowl" of sorts for presentation with their plating. But I do find some of their dishes a tad too sweet. Tasty but a little sweeter than I'd like my Thai dishes to be. Appetizers are good as well - particularly the roti/curry dish and the curry puffs. I'll continue to visit as long as I work in the area. I'd like for them to take down the sweet a notch or three and add more spice.

Little Thai Cuisine is your typical strip mall restaurant. No doubt that it's a faithful standby for those who work in Sandy Springs to go to during their lunch breaks. Reading through some of the previous reviews, I've noted that others have wanted their food a bit spicier. Well, at places like this, you can always ask. If you're like me, you like your Thai food a bit...piquant. And by that, I mean ordering curry "Thai Hot" (as spicy as it gets) setting the mouth and throat ablaze with such heat that the sweat glands begin to open up along with the sinuses leaving you melted into your booth seat as a mess of inflamed skin, sweat and snot. Oh, yes - they can do spicy if that is what you want, my friend. Of course, if that isn't to your liking, they are more than able to make your order mild and safe. We ordered a couple appetizers - the Thai Roti, a flatbread served with chicken curry dipping sauce and Chicken Curry Puffs. We also ordered Thai Tea. The Thai Roti was exactly like it should have been (definitely related to tandoori naan bread) and the curry sauce was flavorful. The Chicken Curry Puffs were like Thailand's answer to empanadas. They too were very tasty, though I didn't much care for the accompanying cucumber salad. After finishing our appetizers, our waitress was not to be seen again. Apparently they were swamped trying to keep up with other orders. We placed our entree orders with another waitress (possibly the manager) to keep our meal going. For entrees, I ordered red chicken curry (Thai Hot). My wife ordered the Massaman curry. I may have gone a bit too far ordering "Thai Hot" (read paragraph above). It was tasty, but painful. Next time, I'll simply ask for "Hot". I stole a couple bites of the Massaman curry off of my wife's plate (to relieve my tongue from the assaulting red curry). Yum. Mildly sweet and nutty. The avocados (along with the other veggies) on the Massaman curry looked fresh and appetizing. All of that said, as good as it was, I've been to a handful of other Thai restaurants that were very similar (and just as good). Indeed, Little Thai Cuisine is exactly as a 3-Star Yelp review should be, "A-OK". Note: At the time of this review, Little Thai has a Scout Mob deal for 50% off (up to $7 off lunch and $13 off dinner). Check it out!

Had carry out, service was quick but the food was just okay. A bit pricey for the amount of food that was given.

Food and service is excellent. I had the masaman curry and my husband got the pad thai. We also tried the basil rolls and the thai iced tea. It was really really good but the portions were really small, especially for the the price. The tea was the best part by far, and the basil rolls were just 2 standard fresh rolls cut into 4 pieces each... so 5.50 seems like a good price, but it's really just almost 6 dollars for two fresh rolls :-) But, the 3 pepper hot was not quite as hot as i expected. It was simply slightly hotter that mild. Also, i love that the masaman was served with carrots and cashews and potatoes and onions - not just potatoes and onions and peanuts. It was also served with brown rice and avocado - delicious, but a very small portion for almost 15$. The pad thai was 13.50 but it was a small portion as well. The flavor was okay - not as rich or traditional tasting as usual. All in all, it was a good experience, but not worth the price. We desperately need the price here to adjust for the small portions, or we need larger portions. No coming back for us any time soon.

Went here for lunch with my sister. I ordered the cashew chicken and my sis ordered the penang ck. They both cost around $8~9. The food was so fast and it taste great!! Will definitely come back and recommend to other people. My mom comes here often for lunch too :) I recommend the curry. So good.

I'm suffering from a cold so I really wanted something spicy, like "please melt my nose" spicy. Typically, my go-to favorite Thai dish is green curry, but I know it's one of the milder curries even though I usually order it medium to hot. So I took a different route of ordering a red curry which is supposed to be spicier. I was a little disappointed from my to-go order because it seemed small and it might be that I'm spoiled by the portions of Little Bangkok on Cheshire Bridge. I think I'm more disappointed that I requested for "Thai hot" but my nose still remains congested. I like the fact that the curry was more creamy than watery like other Thai restaurants I've tried. The curry was still good, but I would've wanted something spicier. I'll continue searching for a spicier curry in Sandy Springs, otherwise, I may have to take matters in my own hands and attempt making my own.

So food is good; however, they use a delivery service that it took 2 hours to get and food was cold. I never got a notice that my food was on the way.

  • Safia A.

Softshell crab and the basil duck were delicious! We had the coconut ice cream for dessert, which is made in-house, but I didn't think it was that great (not creamy enough for me). They kept bringing us rice when we ran out which was nice. We also had two waitresses attending to us, but they didn't communicate with each other... so there was a lot of repetitive service. They even added rice to the leftovers that we took home. We'll definitely be back!

Super Yummy Thai food! I've had the Prad Prik and the Basil Chicken and have enjoyed them both. The non fried basil rolls are a must try and I absolutely love the mango sticky rice---not too sweet of a dessert

Good Thai food, the chicken dumplings and basil chicken are amazing! Like the fact that they have a nice patio and its shaded!

  • Queenie D.

I definitely enjoyed that eggplant entree that I had... My only beef is that it is a bit pricey for the portion and there was not enough rice. An extra set of rice is $2.50 and I just cant help but raise an eyebrow about that. I found the food delicious and the service was lovely, the atmosphere was okay (we sat on the balcony) but the price and portion was a bit off considering that there are plenty of thai restaurants around this area... and oh, parking is horrendous especially during peak hours.

So the food at this local spot is great. The service and price leaves things to be desire... Dinner is expensive for Thai food

Excellent food. I love hot food and originally ordered the Thai Basil Noodles at level number 4. The food was delicious but I wanted it spicier. Well, they helped me make spicier. I added the dry hot seasoning and two other sauces. Other than the spiciness and the flavor of my food, the service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. I will definitely return.

We actually came in a few minutes after they had closed to prepare for the dinner shift. I did not realize this until I checked into Yelp on my phone :\ I felt really bad but Nicholas, our server, assured us it was fine. He chatted with us quite a bit throughout our meal and was on top of everything. He told us that the owner of the restaurant treated the employees really well and that last Christmas, Nicholas received a bonus out of the blue. I really appreciate it when I hear a restaurant owner treats their employees well. All too often, that is not the case. We both ordered chicken pad thai. While it was tasty, it was far from the best that I've had. Later that day, I felt very sleepy -- a sure sign that the food contained MSG :( My suspicions were confirmed the next day when I had the leftovers and experienced the sleepiness again. That aside, Nicholas mentioned he had some coconut cake and asked if we would like some. It. Was. AMAZING. The frosting was very light and not too sweet and the cake was also not too sweet and very fluffy. The BF, who detests dried coconut, loved this cake. Not only that, it was beautifully presented with various fruit sauces (see photo). I would come back for this cake. Hell, I would order this entire cake from them if I was able to!

I work OTP. It's not practical for me to retreat ITP over lunch, thus I'm stuck eating OTP. Was in the mood for noodles and after looking at reviews this place seemed to have vetted out. Like a soccer mom van, I took the journey of cutting though subdivisions ending up in a 90's strip mall in search of takeout Thai. The Pros: I love mom and pop places and this definitely had the hallmarks. Despite being Thai the staff spoke Mandarin. The place itself was fairly well decorated and clean. A quick glance at the menu shows authentic stuff and the American-ized stuff which as a disgrasian I couldn't pass up. Almost everything was under $10 for lunch with a nice serving. The Blerg: Ordered the classic Pad-Thai which came out with almost no veggies and was totally soaked in oil. Despite the white meat chicken everything just turned into a sort of stew/paste. The worse part is the simple lack of awareness of some of the staff. Take-out order was already pre-paid before the ticket went into the kitchen. After a near 20 min wait, someone finally comes out with bags of food and sits it behind the counter. It was quite obvious it was for the fair people waiting and wise-man logic says "maybe give food to people that are already waiting." When asking the staff we were curtly told to wait for someone else. Another 5 mins roll by... Only from my own past of working in a restaurant prevented me from jumping the bar and snagging what was already paid for. I get that the lunch rush means busy, but god sakes you that doesn't prevent someone from working smarter. Little Thai will test your little patience and eat up the little time you have before you ever set sights on even a plastic folk.

I stumbled upon this place many, many, many years ago. I am so glad that I live closer now so that I can pop in more often (10 min drive vs. 30 mins before). My go-to menu items include: Chicken Satay, Thai Spring Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai, Panang Curry and Masaman Curry. They consistently deliver the same quality and flavor profile. There is a great outdoor patio that I love to use when the weather is nice. I have even passed the love on to my daughters who both describe the food as "yummy!" There are so many other thai restaurants that I've tried and this place serves my favorite Pad Thai by far.

Geography helped this place get my business more than feedback from others, although I did glance over a few of the reviews to get a general idea of what to expect. Here's what: * If you're coming for lunch on a weekday make sure to give yourself an extra 10 minutes to find parking. Apparently everyone in Sandy Springs & Dunwooody comes to this shopping center on their break. * Service is quick and it gives the impression that things can get a little sloppy. Damp menus that feel like they were just wiped with a rag that hasn't been washed in days? Ew. * Not much flavor, but that's probably because they're trying to get a lot of people fed in a short amount of time. In my head they have three plates full of cooked chicken, beef, and tofu just waiting to be added to rice and some sauce. It's not bad, although for the price I feel like you should get more all around.

Good place. Chicken satay is v nice. Pad Thai was fine. Thai coffee was too sweet for my liking. I believe Thai roti was an Indo-Thai fusion item. The roti was more like Indian puri (deep fried) and the curry had a rich flavor of peanuts and worked good for us.

Friendly staff and good food. Got the Thai basil chicken. Wasn't the best I've ever had but wasn't the worst. I would eat here again and thanks scout mob for bringing me in.

This is a cute little neighborhood Thai place. The food is really fresh and delicious. The basil spring rolls were possibly made to order because when it came out, the rice paper was still a little sticky. We got the soft shell crab special and beef red curry. The crabs were big and deliciously fries. The sauce was a little bit sweet with pineapples, potatoes and other veggies. The red curry had a little kick and hit the spot for me. We got the mango sticky rice for dessert and that was our highlight. Super fresh mangoes and just the right amount of sweetness. We used a scoutmob and the total, including tax and tip, was $50.

This is. Great place to dine with great service! I enjoyed every bite. My favorite appetizer was the Nam Tok (sliced beef sirloin tossed with mint leaves. The food was hot, fresh and great proportions. I love Thai food and enjoyed sharing the different entrees with my friends.

The first time I ever ate here, it was for lunch and I found a hair in my food. It happens, and it's not enough to deter me forever, but I wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to get back. The second time was much better. Our roti appetizer was barely out of the kitchen before it was in my belly, and my panang curry was delicious. Service was really good, too. I think I prefer my regular Thai place to them, but they're a nice alternative -- they have great appetizer choices and awesome outdoor seating.

very authentic! owned & operated by Thai owners. SERVICE on point! very helpful; able to answer any questions. the servers refill water very frequently and checked on us w/o having to flag them down. I noticed they did the same for the other tables. so double thumbs up on service! ATMOSPHERE feels just like Thailand. the decor is very casual, homey-like. all the decor here is made of wood (typical of Thai) and are all handcrafted. there are booths and regular chairs for seating. there is also a lovely outdoor patio with roofing and fans. FOOD delish! full of flavor and a hint of sweetness in all the dishes. nothing is overly sweet or salty or even oily. you can alter the spicyness on any dish. I recommend you guys trying out: + MASAMAN CURRY (the best in atlanta/ga) + COCONUT CHICKEN SOUP (they offer a bowl size; awesome for sharing!) + RAMA CURRY (not found in a lot of thai restaurants. it's a peanut sauce base!) + CRISPY BASIL DUCK (yummy duck breast) + BASIL LAMB (generous portion) + AVOCADO & MANGO EGGROLLS (a must try!!)

This place is great! We went here recently and really enjoyed the spicy basil, coconut soup, and masaman curry. All of the ingredients were cooked well and the sauces were delicious. We had been once before and we had avocado egg rolls that were so good. The service was very friendly and prompt. We will definitely be returning soon. It looks like they have a full bar and outdoor patio as well.

Another bad Asian restaurant in this part of town. How it got all these good reviews I'll never know. Tried the Satay, and the peanut sauce was watery and bland. Tried the Roti (I love Roti) and the chicken curry had no chicken and was sweet. Larb was ok, but not much to Larb. The Pad Thai was also bleh, not much flavor even for Pad Thai (yeah I know it's supposed to be pretty bland), was real heavy on the sauce and the ingredients (i got seafood) were pretty poor. Spent the rest of the evening trying to get the taste of bad food out of my mouth. Unfortunately this area is looking for cheap and huge quantity only, quality is a poor 3rd.

The service and food was excellent. This little gem has a great vibe, covered outdoor seating, and a great overall feel. You will be relaxed and feel right at home. The portions are large and you will have a "to go" box. Will definitely be eating here again!!!

How have I lived in Sandy Springs for so long and never had Little Thai? We started our love affair on Friday and I hope it never ends. This is seriously the best Thai food I have EVER had. The Pad See Ew and Massaman Curry were both outstanding- lots of fresh veggies and several options to choose from for your protein choice. We also had the coconut chicken soup which was delish! The best part was the homemade coconut cake though. Oh Lord Jesus! This was the best coconut cake in the history of cakedom. Little Thai feels like a family run business. Not sure if it is but it had that feel. The decor is really pretty. There is a nice, big patio but it was too cold to enjoy on the night we were there. We went on a Friday night about 7:45. The restaurant was crowded but not so much so that we had to wait for a table. The service was great. I am dying to go back already!

Amazing Thai food!! They have super fast and friendly service. I have eaten here twice and both times my meal was absolutely perfect. On my first trip here, we literally walked in and sat down at 12:02 and walked out with full bellies and thai teas to-go at 12:20. We had somewhere to be, so it was nice to eat quickly and not spend too much time waiting. I returned a few days ago, and received the same awesome service. I love this place and will make it a point to eat here every time I am in Atlanta. Try the Tom Kha and the Panang Curry!

You know, I liked Little Thai. Location is cute and decorated appropriately and has a nice size covered patio if you prefer sitting outside. The complex the restaurant is located in is quiet and parking is abundant. Now, the food. Pretty good. Not great, but good Thai food that completely satisfies a hearty appetite. I really enjoyed my chicken pad thai and the coconut soup was really spectacular. I found the portions to be very large and the prices perfectly fine. I definitely recommend Little Thai as being the best Thai restaurant in OTP Atlanta. Pretty darn good.

Not really sure what everyone is talking about. I really think this was extremely below average. The service was great, but the food was something I would rather not ever eat again. The pad tai was a little weird. Would not recommend coming here.

I went for Tom Yum Goong soup and it was very good. The staff even told me where I could find Kaffir lime leaves so I could make my own! Also had the chef special mango dish with chicken. A little on the sweet side but I adore most things mango. My waiter was very attentive and checked with me on the spice level of my soup (it always makes me sniffle) and entree.

Just wanted to try a new place. Ordered thai roti - roti was good but the curry had one chicken piece in it, I mean its ok to drop in one more chicken for that size of a roti right? :) Anyways entrees were mixed veggies with shrimp and thai fried rice with chicken. Some how I dont like the chicken served in thai restaurants in generally as they feel tool bland rubbery. Apart from that spices were good food tasted nice. Not too many people in the restaurant. Service was good attentive. Ice cream - ordered home made coconut icecream which was a disaster. Not good at all should try the other ones next time they look yummy :). Overall good place for once in a while...

The food was about 1 step above a frozen Lean Cuisine meal and the prices are outrageous... I got the half price deal and still felt extremely screwed. The Pad Thai tasted and smelled like cat food. Would not even recommend if you could get 75% off... Or 100% off. Yuck!

I only gotten to know about this one from a recommendation of a friend and I decided to check the place on my own. So far it has a nice atmosphere. Service was okay. The food here is excellent. I had a chicken pad thai and some soft-shelled crab and both were so good! I think I have found a nice gem here in this town.

This is a nicely decorated, upscale Thai restaurant with good food and service. The food is fine; not the best in the world but not bad, either. However, the portions are small and the prices are too high. $22 for an entree is way too expensive for an ethnic restaurant in the suburbs. I would've given it 4 stars, but knocked it down to 3 due to the pricing.

  • Jas L.

Hands down the best thai place ever. We friends went to that place as our favorite place was closed. Ordered pineapple friedrice, noodles and some meat food and we were lipsmacking. . Yum.. we ate too much and as the portions were big we had leftovers and I couldn't wait to eat the pineapple fried rice... yum.. yes we will go again and recommend. 4 star cos the price was a little expensive. All my friends agreed on 5 star if it wasn't for price.

Food so-so at best. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Pad Thai smelled real bad, tasted ok at best and was served on some sort of plastic rice cake type thing. This is definitely a tippy place, but the owners seem to cheap to hire any extra help and as a result customers end up waiting three times as long as they would at other similar restaurants. Very unimpressed...

I was recently relocate to sandy springs for work. I scoutmobed the area and was surprised to find so many locations nearby. I am a big thai food fan so after first deciding to go to bangkok thyme my sis and I switched to little thai. We were glad there was wifi there with a simple password - little thai. The service was fine. All of the servers spoke english perfectly. The food was good no complaints there. What I do have a problem with is the pricing. Its quite expensive. 15.50$ for a pad thai and its additional for beef and or shrimp. My sister got the pad see ew cause I didnt know which to get. I asked for half beef and half shrimp for my meat. The server was nice but did not tell me it would be a dollar extra. She even suggested for my sister to have shrimp and chicken and charged her extra. I didnt think that was fair. The portion was also very small. Our combo meats were just a few pieces of hard to chew beef and three pieces of shrimp. Theres no pricing for their drinks on the menu so be careful. I had a thai iced tea and altho the portion seemed large it wasnt enough for it to be 3.95. Our total came out to be $40. I was shocked. We only had entrees and a drink! Now we went there on a saturday and were disappointed that the scoutmob deal didnt work on a saturday. Maybe if im craving thai on a weekday I might return but for that price I could have gotten alot more food at a better price.

Went here with the family last night for dinner. While the service was good, my brother has gotten a terrible case of food poisoning from his pad Thai. We have eaten at various Thai restaurants in the past and have never experienced any food poisoning symptoms. We will not be returning any time soon.

We've stopped by this place twice for lunch. The first time was months ago. I remember ordering a beef curry with rice. I also remember the food portions being somewhat limited, but tasted pretty good. So yesterday, we decided to go back and give it a shot. Several of us had not had good Thai food in quite some time, and this is the only place we can think of close by. Maybe if I order something different, I might enjoy the experience a little more. I ordered the Pad Thai this time. Such a generic Thai dish, add some pork, it shouldn't be too bad. Alas, my experience was exactly the same! While the dish was okay, fairly tasty, it was also very very small in portion size. I kept referring to my plate as the appetizer plate, and left wishing we had gone somewhere else. Total cost (including $2 tip) was $11.10 for me. I would much rather pay a couple of dollars more and have a little more food. I don't think any of us will go back. The food is good, but we need more than just a sample.

Surprisingly great Thai! I would definitely come again. Pad Thai and avocado mango egg rolls are a must

I found my new Thai restaurant! Too bad it's not close to be but it's worth the drive. YUM. Service and food were awesome. My water was never empty haha.

My father is picky about what he eats (no dairy, no sugar, tries to stay away from wheat, etc) so when I came into town I figured Thai would have something for his picky pallet. Other than the momentary confusion when he thought I said we were going to a "pie" place, he was happy with my choice and we were pleased with the place from the get-go. The hostess was very cheerful and seated us quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. They have all the usual Thai dishes I know and love (Pad Thai, basil fried rice, curries, etc). We each got a different curry, red, yellow and green and each of us was very happy with our meals. I also got Thai tea, which was delicious. The atmosphere was nice. They had dim lighting and music. My only complaint would be that the music was a little loud. Might have just been our particular seat though.

A charming neighborhood Thai joint in Sandy Springs, I was totally pleased with my dinner at Little Thai. The decor, like most Thai places, was lovely if a little over the top. An intricate fountain in the corner, lots of carvings and the like: I love that it didn't feel like a generic strip mall spot. We were seated quickly, had our water glasses filled, and perused the menu. No surprises here, just your typical Thai favorites. I ordered up my usual for the winter months: tom kha and masaman curry. The tom kha was absolutely delicious: some of the best I've had. The masaman curry was nice but I definitely prefer the flavor of Top Spice's. Take note vegetarians: about 80% of the menu was marked that it could be made in a vegetarian version, so that's pretty awesome. Service got a little absent while we were waiting for our check, but everyone was super friendly and thanked us profusely on our way out. If you're in the hood and craving Thai, stop in and you won't be disappointed.

STOP. If you're looking for the best friggn Thai food in the Perimeter area, just stop reading reviews and searching now, because THIS is the place. Why? (1) Food is incredibly good. (Almost as good as Top Spice.) They had these avocado egg rolls that were phenomenal. (2) Atmosphere: Awesome. There is a wonderful outdoor patio (it just overlooks the parking lot, but whatever). And the inside is not just some typical crappy cafeteria style seating; it has a really nice Thai theme. (3) Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable, pricey (for Thai) lunch. Panang curry was a plethora of fresh veg, but the sauce itself was overly sweet and not pungent enough for my taste. I dislike paying for Tom Kha @ lunch, but it was worth the extra if you are like me and love the stuff. Quick, friendly service. Bonus that when I said I was in a hurry, they got me in and out in about 30 mins. Food was a 3.5, but I am bumping them up for all those veggies and the speedy action. Cheers~

When someone turns off the heat at work this is my go to spot for hot coconut chicken soup on a cold day. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced for the Sandy Springs area, and when you call ahead they usually have your food ready to go when you arrive - awesome for short lunch breaks. The folks that work here are super nice, and the food is served with a smile. There is ample outdoor seating for warm days, great for people watching at sandy springs circle. The lunch portions are large, and I usually have leftovers for dinner when ordering pad thai and the like for lunch. All the usual Thai menu offerings are available here (in case you're like me and too lazy to pull up the menu before ordering). The food is good, and this restaurant is my go-to Thai lunch choice at work when the mood strikes.

We came in a couple minutes after they had closed for lunch and Nicolas was more than welcome to serve us. I served for 5 years and usually we don't like last minute customers but he treated us as if we were any other customer. Exceptional service and great food. The coconut cake was great!

Little Thai is among the better dining choices in Sandy Springs. The restaurant's decor is charming, the seating is very comfortable. *The concern for customer's comfort and preferences is outstanding.* Those factors led me to award Little Thai 4 stars. Based on food alone, Little Thai rates a solid 3 stars. With a bit more effort in the kitchen (example being in plating) Little Thai could easily deserve a solid 4 star rating. Using ocean fish (such as red snapper, pink snapper, wahoo or cobia ) instead of tilapia in fish dishes would be a major improvement. For a serious Thai food fan most of the 'spicy' dishes served at Little Thai may seem a bit on the bland side. If you're familiar with Thai food and prefer spicy, let your server know and they will get it right. What I usually do is ask for the fish and little hot pepper 'sauce' and season my dish to taste. You can't go wrong choosing any of their soups, curry dishes or chicken.

The Tom kha soup alone is worth the trip as it is outstanding. It's creamy and vibrant with flavor and just looks damn tasty. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I want a bowl right now.

The food was very tasty and the place was very nice. The service was good, our food got here on time, and the restaurants mood was relaxing. We had the tamarind stir fry with chicken and pad see ew with beef noodles, both mild in flavor. They were both delicious and very filling. If you like wine, get red sangria.

J and I stopped in for one of our rare lunch dates. We'd just voted on Sunday Sales and felt like celebrating. We were promptly seated in the corner booth. They've done their best to fit in lots of booths, so they're pretty tight n the corner. There's some traditional Thai decor - carved wood, spice boxes under the glass of the tables, orchids, etc. I started with the spicy shrimp soup and then got the Panang curry shrimp, while J started with the coconut chicken soup and then the green curry. The soups were good, with developed flavors and a nice amount of spice. Though both the entrees were labeled with 2 hot peppers on the menu, neither was that spicy. We both got the brown rice, which is an extra $1.95. That's one of the more expensive brown rice fees that I've seen around town. The service was good, the food was good. If you're in the area and you want Thai, it's solid, but nothing special. #Yelp365 - 326/365

Finally, a Thai restaurant worth going to! I have been searching for a great Thai restaurant in Atlanta for awhile, and we're so happy we finally found a good one. The pad thai was well-seasoned with just the right amount of sweetness. The masaman curry was a little watery but had good flavor, and the mango sticky rice was pretty good despite the mangos not really being perfectly ripe. (The mangos were not their fault, though, I don't think they were in season when we went.) The waitstaff was nice and friendly, no complaints there, although it was pretty empty when we were there-- probably because it was getting close to Christmas. If you go, ask to see the dessert menu, even if you are too full to actually eat dessert. The menu is a picture album similar to the ones they used to sell at vacation resorts for $1 before the invention of digital cameras. It's hilarious.

walking into this place provided tremendous hope as the atmosphere really spoke of a restaurant that paid more attention to its food quality and taste over its decor. i felt an immediate need to become one with bamboo and ... i dunno... honey? perhaps it was the lunch entree i ordered that led to my rating. i ordered the pad see ew. it was pleasantly average. i always order pad see ew with tofu... and in this case, the tofu tasted old -- as if they made it the day before and threw it in to warm it up. maybe this should just serve as a warning to ASK about the tofu before you order it. next time, i certainly will -- if there is a next time. service... friendly? yes. quick? if you're talking about water refills, yes. otherwise, service getting our entrees, getting our checks, and getting out was long and tedious. you would think if they did tofu shortcut, that would mean faster food to your table. nooooope. :)

Yum Yum Yum!!!!! The service was great, the food was awesome! We had spicy shrimp soup for an appetizer - licked the bowl clean!!! I had chicken panang curry; thai spicy. Fabulous! My boyfriend had Pad-See-Ew - very good as well (unless you want something spicy). Will definately eat there many times again!

I've never sat down and eaten here before but my family has ordered take out from here for a few years and it truly is impressive. From the little interaction I have had with the staff they have always proved to provide polite and courteous service. I most recently tried their Mango Chicken for dinner, also proving to be equally as a delicious as a midnight snack (thus triggering this review). (The sauce is crucial for this meal, otherwise you're eating steamed vegetables and chicken.) While not overpowering the taste of the vegetables and tender chicken (carrots, baby corn, onion, and green pepper) the mango sauce beautifully enriches the flavor and not compromising its intended sweetness. The meal overall mixed perfectly with rice and helps equalize if there is too sweet of a flavor. I've also experienced their Chicken Pad Thai, a staple in their cuisine. Little Thai's Pad Thai perfectly possesses the right amount ingredients combining for an excellent flavorful meal. Also I strongly suggest an order of Spring Rolls, they combine the deliciousness of a fried exterior with a rich vegetated interior.

Very nice lunch meal... Basil noodles with chicken and coconut soup. It is a sleepy little place with very Thai influenced decor. The facility was spotless... I mention that because the furnishing were ornate and had the potential to be covered I. Dust and cobwebs-I look at these things- and even the artificial plants were dust free. I think that is a good indicator of the pride in the place and the quality of food. I will be back!

Date night to go. The gentleman who greeted us and checked us out was a delight, big smile, friendly, made us want to come back before we even tried the food. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, Tom yum goong (shrimp soup), shrimp pad Thai, basil noodles. We enjoyed it all, we will definitely go back.

I never thought that I would ever be able to find a place that could take the place of my beloved Sy Thai in Birmingham, MI. I think that I have done it! Little Thai is sooooo good. I have been there about 10 times now, I had to be sure that it wasn't just a fluke and it is not. Their pad-see-ew is awesome. Very fresh and plentiful with respect to the veggies. I highly recommend this place for your Thai fix.

As much as I love Thai and stick with places I know I like, I was hoping to find a new dining place at Little Thai. I was here a number of years ago and remember not being overly impressed but when seeing one of those 50% Off certificates from Sweet Jacks, I jumped at the chance to give it another try after seeing all the good reviews. Once again, we both were not impressed with the food, minus the Tom Kha Coconut Soup which was quite good, although rarely have I had Coconut Soup that is not good as if it would take an effort to make it bad. We had the Chicken Curry Puffs for an appetizer and they were not bad. For our meals I had Tamarind Shrimp and between the shrimp being undercooked and the dark sauce just very plain, I felt it was nothing to brag about. She had the Garlic Chicken and also was not impressed by the sauce and felt there was very little chicken in the order. We did not see the waitress from the time we were served our main dishes to the time we were done and she gave us our bill, never refilling drinks and not taking the dishes away until we were leaving, which was about 30 minutes after we paid. We were not worried about taking up tables from customers because the whole time we were in there, only one other customer came in and she was there for take out.

Good, but not great. I would prefer the food to be spicier. To be fair, I have a high tolerance for heat. But I found most of the food to be lacking in spice and somewhat ho-hum.

I found this place when I used to live in Sandy Springs about 2 yrs ago. I dont live out there anymore, but I still enjoy coming here to eat whenever I can. I love the atmosphere, it is quiet and peaceful and the staff is very nice. I usually only go for appetizers, but sometimes I will order a main entree. The basil chicken is awesome, and I have tried all of the curries that they have to offer which are also good. They make the best Tom Kha soup ever! (Coconut chicken soup with mushrooms), and I love their veggie spring rolls as a snack. These two are what I usually order because I usually get full off of this alone. This is remain one of my favorite restaurants to visit in Atlanta!

I came here a couple of days ago on a Scout Mob 50% off deal. I got Basil fried rice and crab and cheese rolls. I paid $11 which I think is steep for lunch on a Scout Mob deal. The basil fried rice was good but the cheese rolls were gross! The cheese was runny and unappealing. I will not be back here. So far the best Thai for my buck Ive experienced in Sandy Springs is Bangkok Thyme!

This is one of our favorite places in our neighborhood. We visit Little Thai weekly after our yoga class. The food is healthy, the service is friendly and they have a killer outdoor patio. Leave room for their sticky rice with mangos... it's awesome. :-)

I came into Atlanta from Los Angeles for a business meeting. We were looking for Thai food for dinner. First we went to Thai Restaurant of Sandy Springs but they didn't want our business. At 8:30PM they told us they are closed even though their sign says they close at 9 PM! So we looked for another Thai restaurant in the area and we found Little Thai. The people running the place were so nice. They helped us out with some special orders off the menu. We had Tom Kha soup, one with Chicken and one with Shrimp. Very good flavor. could have been a spicier for my taste. We had "Basil" or Phat Krapaow with Shrimp and squid. Very good flavors. We also had the Green Curry, except for the fact that they added potato to it (Green Curry should not have poptato) the flavors were great. Again could have been spicier. We finished with Mango and Sticky Rice and it was also very nice. A great experience all in all. Again the people running the place were so nice and friendly.

SO glad to find this place after our longtime family favorite Pattaya closed down! The masaman curry chicken, panang curry pork, apple tilapia and tamarind grouper are solid choices, along with a hot pot of the Tom Kha Gai. We find it's difficult to stray from our absolute favorite dishes, but we've chosen other daily specials and been pleased. If you like your dishes a little more/less spicy, just ask. They are very accommodating. Be sure to save room for their homemade desserts too. The coconut cake and coconut ice cream is the stuff dreams are made of. Double YUM! Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this place if you love Thai food.

Whenever I'm in a new place, I like to locate a solid Thai place, and this is my latest one! I test drove their Pad See Ew, one of my favorite Thai dishes. I asked the waiter if they could make it with tofu (I feel slightly guilty whenever I make this request because some of my friends insist Pad See Ew must be eaten with beef). Well, my wish was granted and granted very well! The wide rice noodles were cooked to perfection in sweet soy sauce. The delicious broccolis and tofu made me feel healthier, haha. The price was good, and the place was clean and cute. I'd definitely visit again for a casual meal!

Nice place and setting. Enjoyable patio. Pretty good service. Food portions are nice. But if you live or work in the area and you are craving some Thai, you will do OK with them. I would go back if I can't find a better Thai place but I'm sure there's got to be something better out there.

I am not a huge fan of just any Thai food- but this place I really like. My favorite is the basil noodles with shrimp. I think they give a fair portion of good sized shrimp. Not like the sprinkle of tiny guys you may see elsewhere. I've only ever eaten in during lunch and it's good quick service. For dinner/take-out I've tried the Panang Catfish which I really liked and would get again. Also the Tamarind Grouper- but when I went it wasn't Grouper it was some other fish I can't remember. . . The chili rating I think can vary. Sometimes I've gone and Thai hot isn't so hot. I just had lunch there and the Thai hot was pretty darn hot. Overall I think it's a really good Thai food experience that's reasonably priced.

very good thai food, and one of the best i've tried in the atlanta area. have been looking at reviews of this place for a while, and when they recently came up on scoutmob, i had to give it a try. little thai has a very nice patio, where all the tables on this particular night were seated.. the interior looked like the quintessential thai restaurant decor, which is not a bad thing. we tried the chicken satay, yellow & green curries, and pad thai w/ shrimp. the satay was outstanding -- definitely the best in atlanta. the pad thai also ranks way up there; not too sweet and plenty of spice. the curries were also very good, and stand up fine when comparing to our other favorite thai establishments in town (thai silk in buckhead, bangkok thyme in sandy springs, thai emerald in roswell). in short, if we lived closer, we'd be regulars here, and if we ever find ourselves hungry in this part of town, it will be a go-to spot. but given our proximity and being in the delivery radius for Thai Silk, i don't think anything stood out quite enough for us to drive the extra 8 miles for little thai consistently.

Get the Tom Kha. I liked it better when a cup came free with the meal, but it doesn't hurt my feelings to pay for it. This is some of the best of its kind I've found. I've been consistently pleased with their service, flavor, and presentation. The decor and presentation actually add something to the experience that even affects my curmudgeonly engineerness. My most recent visit was to introduce my niece to Thai food, as she expressed reluctant curiosity. I felt this would be a great place to make that first excursion as it has authenticity without being insurmountably daunting to those who feel like ramen is a proper Asian excursion. This hits darn near everything I look for in a good Thai place.

  • Stephie Z.

As far as thai food goes this place is just a'ight. Pad thai is mediocre. The pancake in the thai roti is okay but the curry dipping sauce is a bit to sweet and not spicy enough to beat other restaurants versions. Tom Yum soup has a good spice to it and was probably the most enjoyable dish I had. Red curry is tasty but a bit too sweet as well. I wish they would tone down the sweetness in their dishes. Could this review get any more fucking boring- me thinks not

Yummy, yummy, Little Thai in my tummy. The food here is so good and, for Asian food it's pretty healthy. The veggies are fresh and never over-cooked. They have really great lunch specials, efficient service and a pleasant patio (even though it looks over a parking lot - but there aren't many patios in Atlanta that don't). The curries are great and their noodle dishes aren't as greasy as many. I'm pretty particular in my requests at times and they always nicely accomodate. This place is really a gem.

Very good and consistent. Love all the curry dishes. In the same strip as Van Michael. We live in the neighborhood and are total fans. Sandy Springs finally has a low key, casual dessert place. This is a great spot for stopping off after the movie. The coconut cake is to die for!

I tried Little Thai, after the good reviews on here. I found it to be average at best. While the portions are of decent size, I ordered Red curry chicken, which showed on the menu as "two peppers" (the highest peppers they had for lunch), and then asked them to make it Thai hot. What I got was on the upper end of mild at best, and the flavors of the meal were subdued. I still think Simply Thai is the best i have found for a quick take-out lunch close to my office. Still looking for comparable or better though.

The Masaman Chicken curry was good but the potatoes were hard to bite into to. The portion was huge for lunch. Flavor was good. Not my favorite but will definitely go back when craving thai since I have not found many in the area. Service was quick and friendly. One thing that I did not like is when I ordered a coke it came in a 20 oz plastic bottle. Thought that was odd.

Everything we had was phenomenal. For apps we had the Tom kha soup, the Thai Roti, and the fried crab/cheese bites. For diner, we shared the panang curry and that was plenty of food. The Thai beers were cold and the servers were very nice as well. We eat out all the time and We will be back for sure.

I was in Sandy Springs looking for dinner with my gf, and was hoping to get some tasty Thai food from the Doc Chey's location that was apparently only in operation for about 10 minutes. However, realizing with no small amount of disappointment that Doc Chey's had packed it up, I began to scour the webz for more delicious Thai spots in the area, and so came upon Little Thai. I had read a review from the Atlanta paper which lauded the Thai Roti appetizer, and was thus inspired to order it. GF and I filled out the meal with several other appetizers (all of which I far preferred to the Roti) and split the Pad Thai with chicken: a true deal-maker or -breaker for any first-time Thai excursion. It was all scrumptulescent (again, except for the Roti). We sat outside on the patio--it was especially nice given the cool fall weather--and were pleased with the waitresses' willingness to make valuable menu recommendations for us. (e.g. "Try the chicken satay with peanut sauce.") Considering we ordered and ate FAR too much food, the price was absolutely reasonable. WANT MORE.

We only recently discovered this restaurant and have been back several times. The food selection is great and the portions are very impressive. We have sampled beef, pork and chicken dishes - all were very good and flavorful dishes. One nice surprise was that brown rice was available in place of white rice, which we liked. They have several healthier entre options, which we like very much. We love the patio outside. Little Thai - is a big winner with us!
