Always quick, friendly. Pasta portions are generous for the price. Like the thin crust pizzas. Go there almost once a week

Loved the crust on the pizza but the sauce was lacking in flavor. We also got the wild mushroom & truffle pizza which was great for a bit and then the truffle got to be a bit too much. House salad was rather boring and the mozzarella sticks were terribe. Overall I'd have to say for the price it's a better deal then Varazano's but no where near the calliber of Fritti. I'd come again tho b/c the love the flatbread style crust.

I'm not a foodie, by any means, so I don't usually write much about food. I'm the opposite, in fact—I generally resent the time and attention required for eating, and I seldom agree to go out to a restaurant. I'm quite the trial to my foodie partner! He got my and my daughter out to Little Azio's this weekend, though, and I'm glad we went. The food was absolutely delicious all around! The atmosphere is decent, as well. It's a step up from fast food, but there's counter service, rather than table service. My daughter had the fettuccine with Alfredo sauce. She's even pickier than I am, and it's very hard to get her to eat anything. Shockingly, she cleaned her plate! I had the same, with added chicken and mushrooms. The last two times I've ordered fettucine Alfredo in a restaurant, it was too spicy to eat. This was not. It was tasty, rather than being as bland as jarred sauces, and the pasta was cooked just perfectly. The additions were so generous that I ended up with more chicken left than anything else. Sam had some sort of pasta with chicken and marsala sauce. He was very happy, too, and hardly said a word 'til he'd finished. He ordered extra bread, and that was history in a trice. I look forward to trying other dishes there in the future, eat-in or take-out.

So you know those places that are just really good, solid places to eat? This is one of them (I surprised you with that, huh?). It's just .... well, good. Simple dishes, good ingredients, nice people, cool interior. Onto the dishes! APPETIZERS Calamari Arimatica 8/10 (12/27/07) - take some good calamari, mix in some peppers, coat in a fluffy batter and serve with spicy tomato sauce. Good stuff and yes I did say fluffy. Bruschetta 7/10 (12/27/07) - on a toasted flat bread, with pretty plump tomatoes draped across, this is just a decent item to kick things off with. SALADS Asian Chicken Salad 8/10 (12/27/07) - Not being a salad person I still say this is not so bad... a little gorgonzola som'n som'n with sesame ginger vinaigrette and flat bread on the side. RATINGS 7 - Tasty - Good food. This is the most basic level of food that you would probably drop back by for sometime. 8 - Crave Inducing - One day you will be thinking about what you want for lunch and suddenly it will hit you. This is so good that sometimes it will be the perfect thing to eat.

Yet another location in the growing Little Azio family. It's a nice addition to the Moreland Avenue scene, not on the main drag of EAV but close enough to capitalize on the growing Village atmosphere. They serve thin crust pizzas with a variety of gourmet toppings. You can also mix and match pastas with a range of sauces. The calamari is pretty good, I like that they toss in some fried green and red peppers as well with them. The marinara has a nice spicy undertone to it. Little Azio is counter service and do it yourself drinks, so it's pretty low key and low stress. The food turnaround time is quick, even when they're busy. The patio is nice in the summer, I just wish the view was a little nicer than the traffic on Moreland.

I always get the angel hair with the turkey ragu sauce (i love that they make it with turkey and not beef). And they give you a lot. I can get 2 or 3 meals out of it. I usually hate big portions, but pasta is always good leftover. I like that you can order, get your food and sit down. It's a cross between a dine-in and a carry out place. It's laid back. They serve beer and wine, which is cool. THEIR TIRAMISU IS GROSS. DON'T GET IT. That's why I give it a four. I'm a huge tiramisu lover, so for it to be so gross is a big disappointment.

After our neighborhood meeting, David and I were dying of hunger. We usually like to go to Figo Pasta since its very close to where we live, but decided on checking out Lil Azio since I still cannot fulfill my pizza craving. It's surprising to see that this is the only establishment that has survived within this complex. Salsa, Bruster's and the coffee shop are long gone! I ordered the Atomica pizza which had pepperoni, sausage, green peppers and mushrooms. David ordered the rigatoni pasta with bolognese sauce and chicken. We also got a ceaser salad to share. The food is pretty consistent. Not the best Italian or "quick" Italian out there but decent enough to come back in the future. It's also nice to see a place in town that stays open a bit later than usual on a weekday!

Just get the BBQ chicken pizza. You'll see what I mean. Seriously. GET THAT!* *note: that's all I have ever had there, and it is really, really good. Also, I wrote a review for this location on the Midtown one, because they didn't have this one in the database yet. All that junk applies here too; which isn't much more than you see here. I did eat there, and that location is good too, so don't think that I hate it or anything, alright?

Take Fellini's pizza. Not quite as good as Fellini's, but we're talking the big "loft-living" atmosphere and garage doors and order at the counter casualness. Lots of light and cement floors. Add in a splash of Figo's idea of providing pasta, as well as their notion of ordering pasta and sauce separately. Combine the prices of both Figo and Fellini's together. Top with some flatbread sandwiches. You have Little Azio's. It's not to say that they suck or anything. There are a lot of vegetarian menu choices. Hubby and I did go in at 3pm on a Sunday for late-lunch, early dinner as we are wont to do. But maybe they were a little off because of that. I didn't do math as I ordered, but am used to a tab being just over $20 for us. I got pasta, he got an individual pizza. $30! I was a little surprised, but ok. I did get the add-on mozzarella and a side caesar (for him), and he got spinach and feta on his pizza. So, ok. I mean, even at Figo our tab is around $20. So I'm thinking this food is going to rock the house. My pasta was okay. It was angel hair and of course didn't hold a candle to Figo in terms of texture. I got what I assumed was their version of an arrabiata sauce (they call it telefono-I'm resisting puns right now). It's spicy, tomatoey with basil. It was pretty good but a little watery. I was glad I had the mozzarella included. Husband's pizza was just ok. It was a thin crust, which is fine, but would have greatly benefitted from another 3 minutes or so in the oven. The center was gooey, and not in a good way. And I wouldn't complain, but $30 for that? Man. They were large helpings, I will give them that. Combining pasta and pizza in one place is a cool idea. Don't really think I'll be back, though, unless someone else is picking up the tab.

This casual restaurant has a more-than-serviceable menu and a refreshing atmosphere that is perfect for a late lunch or laid-back dinner. The menu has such a wide range of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas that just about anyone will find something appealing. Between us, my husband and I have tried something from every section of the menu, and have yet to be dissapointed. The menu is the same for lunch or dinner, and they stay open all day, which is nice for those of us who eat at odd hours. Service is of the order-at-the-counter variety, but is reasonably quick and friendly. If you are looking for a romantic atmosphere, you would probably do better at Figo, but Little Azios is clean, open, freshly decorated with lots of bamboo which makes you forget you are right on a major road. The patio is also lovely when it isn't too hot. Perfect for casual dining.

Delish. We have take out regularly and love the turkey panino (with this incredible walnut gorgonzola dressing), the low-carb penne with tomato fresco sauce, the bruschetta, and the shrimp and four cheese pizza are some of our favorites. Highly recommend. Plus, you can take some home and stop by Morelli's on your way out :)

when it comes to neighborhood eats in my part of town, little azio is a staple. it's consistent, fast and friendly. while i prefer the pasta at figo for sure, little azio is very good too and the pizzas are excellent thin crust variety. the location is great with good parking and the service is friendly and fast. when i am training for a marathon this is one of my go-to carb loading locales.

This is not a place for those seeking "authentic" ZA'. It is however good food for what it IS. That would be a place that is close to my job, reasonably priced and quick. I have tried the pizzas, the sandwiches, the salads and the pasta. The pizzas are yummy, thin crust and individually sized. Not so small that one couldn't be shared. They are the perfect size for a filling meal for one. I am a fan of the margherita, the Napoletana. Normally I am not to big on "unusual" ZA toppings. However this joints Cozumel "mexican za" and the BBQ chicken za are spot on. I really dig the thin crispy cracker like crust that allows the toppings flavors to dominate. The pastas are hit and miss. I recommend the Telefono which is a spicy tomato sauce. The bolognese is not so awesome. It's more meat than sauce and the the pasta ends up starchy with the grease. The portions are small so it's not my first choice. I need to try the pesto, but pesto breathe at work is a deal breaker. All of the panini sandwiches are super tasty. Particularly the Italian and the chicken parmesan. Yummers. The meatball is feh. Actually it isn't as good as the one at subway, so you decide. The salads are fresh and well portioned. I really like the house salad with italian. The lemon dressing is hit or miss as well. Over all the best salad for the money in the neighborhood. The deck is great if you like sucking up exhaust from the Moreland Ave redlight racetrack. And the inside seating is teaming with neighborhood breeders with their offspring or lunchtime worker types. hence the fact the I get mine to go. the kids at the counter are quick and polite. So, if you see the pink haired lady rushing through with to-go. It's me,so get out of my way.

Takeout to the rescue. If it wasn't for this little cafe I'd be stuck with the traditional fast food options when on the way home from work and wondering what the heck I am going to eat for dinner. It's funny, but for some reason I just won't save the number in my phone. Sprint is making a killing off of my 411 calls for "Atlanta, Georgia" - pause for automated system - "Little Azio on Moreland." I like to get the turkey panini with a little extra walnut sauce on the side. Sometimes I will get a BBQ chicken pizza or the special pasta of the day, which never seems to change. If I need some comfort food, I can always count on Little Azio for a healthy piece of Tiramisu as well.

Slightly better than average pizza, average prices, and pleasant service make this a fair stop for a quick bite. Its a half-step up from fast food...order in the front, pay and they'll bring it out to you. Nice decor, clean place. The outside area has a few long stone tables that make for a nice place to eat when the sun is out, or on a warm summer night.

I liked this place. There are a variety of salads and pasta dishes to choose from. You can get your pasta how you like it by choosing the sauce (I chose florentine), the pasta (rotini) and meat (chicken). It was hard to decide because everything on the menu sounded so good. It was a generous helping and looked as good as it tasted. I also had the caesar side salad, again nice portion and fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. Next time I will try the pizza and check out the dessert. I'll be back.

My favorite place in Grant Park and East Atlanta to grab a quick bite to eat. Always consistent and good. The pizza's are the best and they have a great patio.

Very good change of pace and step above the fast food establishments that pepper this area of Moreland Ave. The order at the counter menu is complete with a few traditional and a few inventive pizza options, pastas and salads. The pizza is super duper thin and pliable (more knife and fork than hand) and always cooked properly. The alfredo sauce and pesto are my favorite options for the available array of pastas. Also child friendly in both menu and atmosphere (no loud music/smoking, casual etc...). Service really isn't needed other than to bring your food - but has been friendly at every visit.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
