Went to lunch here twice last week. The service and food were excellent. (NOTE: I was there at 11:45am before the lunch rush started.) The space is beautiful, as is the food. The patio outside looks just like the cafes in Paris. The Crispy Octopus and Chickpea appetizer was delicious and the octopus done perfectly. The Tomato and Mozzarella salad was fine but nothing special. I would skip that and go for something unique, like the Lump Crab, Corn and Avocado starter. The avocado is like a smooth quacamole without the cilantro or lime. Very good! The first trip I order the Salade Nicoise, which was very good and light. Nice tuna on top. BUT...I went back for the Cajun Chicken which is fantastic. It is a huge plate of food with perfectly done chicken breast. In fact, it seems like two chicken breasts which sounds overwhelming but you will want to eat every bite! The seasoning is flavorful but not too spicy and the chicken is thin but still moist and tender. The dish comes with fries and a small salad but I subbed them for mushrooms. Terrific! Ended with the Chocolate Mousse. I always say, a chocolate dessert is like sex. Even when it is bad it is still good. But in this case it was yummy! YUMMY! The place was crowded both days by the time we left. Full of beautiful people with beautiful food. I am definitely going back again.

Solid 3. Service was attentive and quick. I didn't experience a lot of the gripes other customers had. However, we did go very early on so there weren't many other tables vying for our server's attention. The crab avocado salad was good. It was on the small side. I also got the soup of the day which was a broccoli cheese soup. This was nothing to write home about. My friend had the salmon tartare and the foie gras. The salmon tartare was good. The foie gras had a weird bitter aftertaste, which they attributed to it being marinated in some type of liquor. I didn't care for it and normally I enjoy the taste of foie gras. The server was very kind and gave a new foie gras in hopes that it would taste better. Still not good, so he ended up comping it off our bill. Note I did not think any of the food deserved beyond a mere "good." For a restaurant at this price point, I think that the food should exceed that.

I've watched this beautiful establishment go from just one of the new buildings in the Streets of Buckhead to an instant classic in less than a year! I haven't been here in awhile, but was amazed at the attention to detail that has happened here from the white clothed tables outside, the quaint cafe expo window outside to the ambiance reflected from within the building that beams and overflows out from the windows to the streets outside making everything happier. If you literally want to feel as if you have escaped to a quick getaway to France this is your place to make you happy to know you have this in your hometown just a hop, jump and skip away.

Le Bilboquet has only been going for a couple of months as I write this, and we were in for only their second brunch ever, although we ordered lunch items. First, the space is excellent, especially for the day where you have solariums on either side of the dining room, which brings in tons of natural light. The location is right in the middle of the valet circle for the shops there, so it's simultaneously faux urban and actually crowded. Our service was good, although they didn't have a high chair and tried to put us at a tiny table for two despite having our 11 month old with us. (Yes, I've actually had people send me private messages on Yelp after reviews relating to high chairs that I shouldn't have the kid out to places like this or Corner Bakery for brunch, I should be a Waffle House.) The reality is that Foodies still like decent food even once they have children and guess what the kids are well-behaved, because they're used to eating out. Le Bilboquet should get some high chairs, as it's easier to keep children well-behaved when they've a place to sit. We had two lunch dishes: Cajun Chicken and Beef Paillard (which stands in contrast to Bistro Niko's Chicken Paillard). Both were served with a small salad and pommes. I say "pommes" as these really tasted like "French fries" as opposed to "french fries". If you know what I mean, then you know what I mean. They offer aioli with the pommes. The Cajun Chicken was amazing. The Paillard was good but more of steak frites that had just been tenderized. Our service was attentive, although with the place being open and the day a bit slow, we found three different managers who stopped by to check on us two to three times each, which was fine, and I chalk that up to well-meaning attentiveness. The menu is reasonably priced, although somehow we came out at about $85 after tip and with no alcohol for two of us. The space is beautiful and the location is great. I look forward to trying this for dinner. Welcome to the neighborhood Le Bilboquet!

It was one of those Friday nights that I already expected to end with shots of tequila. What I didn't see coming however, is doing those shots in a French restaurant. But hey, there is a first time for everything, right? Appetizer that I highly recommend the crab with avocado. Absolutely phenomenal. For the main course, i got Filet Mignon medium, it was prepared just right and was bursting with flavor. Steakhouse grade preparation, no doubt. Although I didn't have dessert here, I finished off the meal with a few shots of tequila with my date, while the rest of the table stared in surprise. Our waiter, Michael, was awesome. Not only was everything done in a quick fashion, but he provided some excellent tequila suggestions. Service on the second visit was excellent also. Ambiance was fairly nice also, the glass ceiling added a great touch, especially on that rainy night. You could literally see the thunder through the roof. I would come back here without hesitation.

I admit; I haven't been to many French fine dining restaurants, so my knowledge of the cuisine is very limited as well. But I have been waiting for Le Bilboquet to open at this location for a while, ever since they put the signs at Buckhead-Atlanta shopping complex. It's located prominently at the section that also has parking lot, Gypsy kitchen and Shake shack, right in front of the valet. So it was hard to miss. After so many weeks of anticipation, Le Bilboquet opened it's door to public on 11/20/2014(Thursday) , breaking the pattern of Tuesday restaurant openings at the Midtown-Atlanta shopping complex. (They also had an invite only dinner service on Wednesday 11/19/2014). Le Bilboquet is not exactly a new concept. They have been operating in NYC for more than 25 years and they already have one each in Dallas, Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro. With Atlanta as fifth location, they bring some big names in culinary world, like Chef Julien Jouhannaud as executive chef, to the party; so naturally the expectation was big. (I looked up what Bilboquet means - it's just an old school gaming device that has a cup and a ball attached to a string). The inside of the restaurant is elegant - once you enter, you will immediately notice bar with grey counter. Also, decorated tastefully with blue banquettes, beautiful paintings & photography and classy red & white terrazzo floors. We had made reservation via open-table with very short notice, so not many know about its opening yet! We were welcomed and seated. It may be just an opening day thing, but everyone was super dressed up with jacket, suit and tie. Luckily, we guessed as much beforehand and came in business casuals, so we didn't feel out of place. By the way, they have long list of nice wine selections but these are not cheap by any means. So we skipped that and went directly to food. We ordered, For Appetizers 1) Les Calamars Sautés aux Légumes($16) 2) Le Tartare de Saumon($14) For Entrees 3) Le Poulet Cajun($25) 4) L'Escalope de Veau au Citron($34) Dessert 5) Apple Tart($10) Les Calamars Sautés aux Légumes is just sauteed squid & vegetables. This is our favorite dish of our dinner. Squid was sauteed, along with green pepper, red pepper, zucchini and fresh parsley, in butter. It's presented with half lime inside a cloth pouch - so that when you squeeze the lemon, seeds and pulp won't fall on your squid. The flavor was very subtle and it was delicious. And we were pleasantly surprised how much squid was actually in the bowl! MUST TRY. Le Tartare de Saumon is Salmon Tartare. We were impressed with the quality of salmon in our tartare - it was cut perfectly such that it was buttery smooth and just dissolved inside our mouth! (I can't wait to try their tuna tartare next time). Le Poulet Cajun is just grilled breast of chicken, prepared with cajun seasoning. The plate also comes with french fries and small salad. The chicken was grilled perfectly and I liked the seasoning. But I thought it was touch over salted. And the portion size was just huge! Fries was good but nothing to write home about. L'Escalope de Veau au Citron - Veal Scallopini with Citrus sauce. This was my partner's favorite entree and I agree. There was two thin pieces of veal, cooked perfectly tender with the citrus sauce. It was served with mashed potatoes, which was more like finely whipped potatoes. Very buttery and tasty, but I like my mashed potatoes little chunky! Finally the apple tart was another favorite dish of the evening! It was served with a big scoop vanilla ice cream and sliced crunchy almonds on top. I don't know how they made the tart, but it was one of the best I have tasted ever! Also it slightly tasted cider'ish, I am guessing they fermented the apple a little. Regardless, we loved it! (I need to try creme brulee next time). Service was another highlight - our waiter was super polite and ready with suggestions on anything. Also our glass was almost never without water - they kept filling as we drank. Though they are open only for dinner at this time, starting from first week of December they will also open for lunch service, and brunch service on weekends. And also cafe menu will be made available between 3 to 5 pm everyday. I can imagine sitting on ratan chairs on the outdoor patio, sipping some coffee! Also, if you have used valet parking($10 for 4 hours), they will validate your ticket and that gives $5 discount! I thought that was nice! Overall, Le Bilboquet is definitely another valuable addition to the Buckhead-Atlanta, along with Thirteen Pies, Gypsy Kitchen and upcoming Southern Gentleman!

We were walking around shopping and needed something quick on the go. The three of us ordered Panini sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches which were good. I had a ham grilled cheese sandwich which was small, quick , tasted good and priced well. Food came out quick, and we were on our way. Great spot!

This place has great food. The Prep on the Octopus was awesome and the mussels were very tasty. During our visit the wait staff was very attentive. In the past I have experienced some Customer service issues but the food makes up for it!

I was blown away by this place! The food, the decor, the service was top notch. The restaurant was so bright and beautiful. Unlike anything I saw in atl. I felt like I was in nyc or san fran. I was expecting croissants and pastry to be served but they had a wonderful lunch menu that was delicious. Not to mention the portions were huge. My cajun chicken was spectacular. So juicy and seasoned perfectly. We also had the mussels. They tasted fresh, not frozen and the wine sauce was so good, i had to ask for extra bread so I can soak it in the sauce. Yum. I cant wait to try dinner there.

SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Pretty much sums up EVERY aspect of this establishment all in one word. From the valet, to walking in the door, going to bar and then the WORST dinner experience of my ENTIRE life. This place truly 110% SUCKS!!!!! I have HONESTLY had better FOOD and SERVICE at BURGER KING!!!! Save yourself ALOT of money and go to Bistro Niko or ANY other French establishment in Atlanta and all you have to do is walk through the door and your experience will BLOW this place out of the water. if I could give a NEGATIVE star I would!!!!! Remember Le Bilboquet=SUCKS!!!!

A friend organized dinner at Le Bilboquet. Six of us at the table in the front right corner -- the best in the restaurant. Bilbo is a relatively new place and service will get better with time. Despite a few lapses, the dinner and experience were lovely. Among the six us we ordered a pretty wide selection of food. Steak frites. Moules. Various salads. Veal. I started with a soup of fennel and something else that I can't remember but wish I could. Why? I'd go back for the soup alone. It was perfect. For the main course I had the magret de canard. A digression. Who makes duck at home? No one. So I almost always order duck when it's on the menu. Back to the review. This was the best magret de canard I've ever had. In Atlanta. In San Diego. In DC. In Brussels. In Paris. The skin was crisp. The meat was medium rare. The portion was huge, enough for two had I not been so greedy. We skipped dessert. Here are the downsides: - Get there early. By 7:00 Billbo was jammed. - The time between the appetizer and the main course was 30 minutes. We were impatient by the time the main course was served. I assume this will get worked out with time. - While the interior is beautiful, it is noisy. Glass, wood and tile floor make for a beautiful room but impossible acoustics. Almost forgot. The valet parking was very handy.

Had brunch today and enjoyed it very much! Place is Lively - staff was courteous - we got there before the rush so we did not have to wait. Started off with a couple glasses of bubbly - one rose and one blanc de blanc - same producer from France and both were delish! Had the tuna tartare to start followed by the omelette of the day and the Cobb salad. We wanted it coursed out but our server did not hear us so it all came out at once - not so bad. The tartare was perfectly prepared with the sauce drizzled around the perimeter of the plate - yum! The omelette was so simple but so delicious - Gruyere cheese and ham - very nice - this dish also had roasted fingerling potatoes that were seasoned with tarragon and Rosemary - perfectly cooked. The conn salad was deconstructed with healthy portions of everything - very good! For dessert we had the creme brûlée and it was a nice way to end the meal. We had a nice bottle of Chablis for our meal and it's nice that they serve it in the proper glass at the perfect temperature. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful date night spot with exceptional service. I loved our waiter! He was a treat. That meat and cheese platter was the best I have had at any restaurant- do try if you go! Also had their potatoes au gratin and salmon entree. A bottle of their Pinot noir came with a little history lesson from our waiter- loved his attention to detail to make our night that more special!I have to say, will be thinking about that phenomenal meat and cheese platter until we can go back!

It's a cute place nestled in the center of the parking valets for the Shops of Buckhead. Cute patio, but would definitely be better with less exhaust ;). Good was excellent, tuna tartare and the swordfish and pork chop specials. It's not a cheap place by any means, but decent for the area and enjoyed the Miami feel of it, though that part my husband could have done without. The staff was exceptional until it came time for the check, which having known the length of time we were going to wait, we would have opted for coffee.

We were drawn in from the corner of the street by its outside charm and appeal. We were greatly surprised at how cute it was on the inside as well. The hostess were nice and took us to our seats. It was a quite area at first, that ended up changing when management decided to take up residence as well. They proceeded to counsel their staff and discuss their scheduling. Many of the servers continued to come over conducting business loudly in what I was hoping to be an afternoon quite brunch. The corner table near the restrooms seems to be the employee break room, so if you start to be seated in that direction I would certainly ask to be seated elsewhere or wait for another table if they are on a wait. As the other tables were filling up we did take note that other tables were getting there after but getting their food before us. The server informed us the kitchen made an error and had to recook one of the dishes. He only informed us after we had began to look a little frustrated. So enough about the bad parts of this place and onto the good. Service was nice and my water glass stayed full. The beet soup is really great and I highly recommend it. Both of the Benedict dishes were tasty. I will be back, I was just expecting a little more class.

I don't usually have time to write reviews on anything these days., but I have to admit my business partner considered our meal and service to be the best in Atlanta so far. Our sever "Erdem" (I asked him his name 3 times!) was quick on his feet in anticipating our needs before we did. We never had to pour our bottle of wine because he was there to do that for us. He was also able to answer our questions on food without hesitation. We were never rushed which was appreciated greatly. To the managers and owners please keep doing what your doing. Will be back next month.

Really torn here. Food was pretty good but not out of this world: mussels were lacking in plumpness, the broth was not that interesting at all (that's being kind), the steak on the steak frites was great, but the frites themselves were cold, yet the crab and avocado app was out of this world. For a true bistro, you'd kind of expect that up and down, but these aren't "bistro" prices, they are far higher. We did see all the service issues/feedback, and I was worried about that. However, we did have very timely service, and for the most part, it was good (save the humous description of a beer I ordered that couldn't have been more incorrect - they did kindly switch it out though). But the final problem I really had, and what of course I remember as it was the last experience of the restaurant was we were leaving, was that they don't validate for self-parking. You have to pay (I self parked as the valet line was stupid long). So I just paid close to $200 for a meal for two and they nickel and dime for parking? Seriously? What a joke. Not a good start for ex-Streets-Of-Buckhead-ATL. This is a bigger issue for the overall development if they job you for parking. They didn't seem to learn the lesson from Atlantic Station??

Had brunch at this lovely restaurant. We were a party of 5. Everyone loved their meal and the service was great fantastic location next to many high end stores. Easy parking. Either valet or self park.

Don't waste your time or money...worst service ever. Cocky waitstaff and bartenders. I felt like I was in a club rather than dining in a wanna be french restaurant.

Last night, I ate dinner at Le Bilboquet, so this time, I can actually review the food and service. The food was very good, especially the octopus appetizer and the chocolate mousse dessert. I had the scallop of veal for the entrée; the veal was very tender, although the sauce was a bit bland (they may have forgotten the lemon) and greasy. The potatoes au gratin were excellent. My dinner companion had the duck, which she said was excellent. The service was a bit lacking, as other reviewers have noted. Our waiter completely failed to bring us any bread at any time throughout the dinner. I noticed that other people got bread almost as soon as they sat down. Initially, I thought we would get it before the entrée, so I did not say anything. However, we never received any bread. We also ordered a bottle of wine, and the waiter failed to keep our glasses full-since our bottle was kept across the room, we were unable to do it ourselves. As a matter fact, the waiter failed to refill our glasses at any time. Again, I kept waiting for him to do so. Finally, when our glasses were completely empty, I asked him to refill them. Also, he did not tell us what the daily soup specials were-I had to ask. He was pleasant enough, but just not very attentive even though the restaurant was not full-there were empty tables around us throughout the majority of our meal. I would recommend the restaurant for food; however, just expect a faux pas here and there on the service end.

Beautiful with excellent food -- there's nothing not to like here; ok, almost anyway. The simply designed room in all white is well done, white table clothes and large mirror included. It is remarkably quiet with every seat taken, a muted buzz only ensures your conversation is private. The service was acceptable, albeit a little slow, but, hey, it was the second night so we are giving them some slack. As authentic as a Paris bistro, Bilboquet promises to be in our rotation! And, oh yeah -- avoid the 10.00 valet parking! Opt for free self parking instead.....

My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. It seems like a bit of Paris dropped in the middle of Buckhead. We sat outside and there was a lot of activity but that added to the experience. The price is very expensive.

This place was delicious. We sat on the patio..perfect weather! The Cajun chicken was literally the BEST chicken I've ever eaten! It had a buttery/wine taste and certainly tasted marinated. The fries were crisp and perfect for this dish. Parking valet is $7...I hate paying for parking!

Le Bilboquet has truly opened a gem of a restaurant in Atlanta! From the moment you walk into the restaurant, the decor, service and ambiance are great. The Salmon served over a bed of lentils is cooked and seasoned perfectly EVERY time. The Veal and Chicken are my next favorites. You can't go wrong here for a romantic dinner, or a great Sunday brunch. The Tuna Tartare served with a cracker crisp on top is incredible and the salads are large portions. I haven't had anything on the menu that hasn't been wonderful. Love this place!

I don't know about the food but I called and some guy I hope wasn't the owner or manager answered the phone with a bad attitude because I wanted to speak to the person in charge. Its 2:30 pm and he spazzed at me about being a telemarketer and hung up... He had no idea why I was calling and I'm sure to never visit this restaurant because of the service and hospitality I'd more than likely lack at this place.

We are thrilled that Le Bilboquet has finally arrived in Atlanta. As fans of the original NY outpost, we are familiar with the menu and can happily report that the food is just as good in Buckhead. Since they have only been open for a couple of days, I will forgive a few lapses in service, but we were greeted warmly upon arrival and ushered through the busy room to our table. Our waiter was friendly, but seemed a little green to the industry and less attentive than we would like. The main issue was having to wait too long to be offered a cocktail and then waiting another 15 minutes for it to arrive. This has become a problem at restaurants all over Atlanta in the past few years (I generally blame overexerted mixologists) but it seems like an easy fix. Note to all restaurants: the sooner the wine arrives, the happier the guests from the start. The menu is classic French Bistro fare. We had the Steak Tartare, the famous Cajun Chicken, and the Grilled Salmon, all delicious and in generous proportions, the first two with salads and fries to accompany. The Tartare appetizers and Crab Salad are wonderful as starters or a smaller meal. The "Bilboquet" Salad is simply dressed with vinaigrette and is quite large. I think I'd prefer to split it next time. Dessert was a perfect little Creme Brulee and ice cream. The room is simple and elegant with white walls featuring large contemporary art, white tablecloths and green banquets. Because the restaurant is free standing, there are a lot of windows to overlook the action at the new Buckhead Atlanta. The Christmas lights are especially pretty this time of year. I look forward to the outdoor bistro seating in the warmer season as well. Our dinner was at 8:00 which was the perfect time to notice the shift in patron from the well-heeled, older crowd to the younger, fashionable set by the time we left. Overall, we enjoyed our night at Le Bilboquet and look forward to our return.

I dined last night at Le Bilboquet, with high hopes. Sadly, this new establishment, surrounded by the new Buckhead Atlanta, in all its beauty, has much work to be done. While service was friendly and well meaning, it just was not good. It took almost 30 minutes to get our cocktails delivered to the table. The table layout is awkward. Servers needed to work around our table to get to the two in the corner, which created problems for them and us. The food, once received was good. The Cajun chicken dish was particularly good, but all in all, just not a good or great experience. I live only blocks away and was hoping this would be a new "go to" place. Maybe with some real work, it will get there.

Went for dinner last night and had a fantastic meal! Beef tartare was to die for, had so much flavor and perfect for such a hot summer night. My husband's duck was cooked perfectly and exactly to the temperature specified. We arrived early hoping to enjoy a few drinks at the bar but the bar was full and the bar area is tiny. The hostess was very accommodating and seated us at our table well ahead of our reservation. I took off one star because once we were seated the service was very slow. However, having lived in France, I can vouch this is normal in any good Restaurant over there. They're just really in no hurry at all. At least Le Bilboquet is keeping everything authentic down to the service. :-) I look forward to returning!

I didn't try the food. Just stopped in for a cocktail. The place looks nice and the menu is one I'll circle back for. The bar service was OK. Not great and not terrible. It was adequate. Was poured a nice drink but the attentiveness/friendliness of the barkeeps could improve.

Terrible. Simply put. My wife went this week with friends. Poor service...over an hour to get served. Food just good but definitely not worth why they paid. They put 5 people at a table meant for 2. Don't bother unless you want the Buckhead scene...yuk

This review got only two stars because of the service, not the food. The food is fantastic. My first time here was when they had just opened and the service and food was great, but I had also gone on a slower night like a Wednesday or something I think. The second time, not so great. I had raved about this place to a friend from out of town that loves French food, so we made reservations for 9 pm on a Saturday. We get there and are told they're running a bit behind so we waited, for over half an hour. It all looked so good that we told our server we were just doing appetizers, six to be exact, so we could try a bunch of different things. We also went with a bottle of wine, which ran us $100, but was well worth it. Their wine list really is nicely done. We were still eating our food when I'm guessing the manager, he was dressed up more than the staff, came over and started clearing our table. Out server immediately came over and whispered something in his ear and started apologizing. At this point our plates and food were already stacked and pretty much ruined. No measures were taken to remedy the situation. My friend literally still had her fork in hand when he started clearing the table. So since our food was gone, we grabbed the check and left. We were there at our table for all of forty minutes. I get that maybe the manager was trying to either be efficient or just come talk to the table of two attractive women, but I won't be visiting again. For a bill well over $200 I expect to be able to eat in peace and not have some random man come and ruin our experience.

What a difference a few months makes! I first went to this Atlanta outpost of one of my favorite New York restaurants in December of last year when they had just opened. On that visit, the restaurant was clearly still trying to find its rhythm. I finally had occasion to go back this week and I had one of the best meals and overall dining experiences I have ever had in Atlanta. The service was smooth and attentive but not at all intrusive. The food arrived from the kitchen at a perfectly measured cadence which gave our party ample time to enjoy our cocktails and then to linger just long enough over the first course of Foie Gras Terrine (sinfully delicious) and a wonderfully bright and crisp Endive salad. We stayed with the staples that make or break a good French Bistro for our main course: Steak au Poivre - perfectly seared and cooked exactly to medium rare with a peppercorn sauce that was also spot on and Duck Breast which was also executed beautifully. The restaurant was busy and buzzing and all the tables around us seemed to be enjoying their meal as much as we were. To create this kind of energy and deliver service and food to back it up is no small task! Atlanta needed a good, authentic French Bistro and now it has one. Sante!

My lovely bride and I had an early dinner here on Saturday night. We booked our spot thru Open Table. I ordered the tuna tartare and the steak frites. She had the soup de jour, which was a savory cream of vegetable, and the Cajun chicken. We agreed that the frites are the best we've had in the ATL. The food is much better than average, and the ambience is quite pleasant, especially around sunset. Service was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The manager checked in on us, which was nice because we learned about their to-go cafe, open 7 am - 5 pm. Save room for the profiteroles. Another meal of this caliber, and I would upgrade them to 5 stars.

One thing that surprised me about this restaurant: it is not a quiet, romantic evening with a date with intimate conversation. It is VERY loud, which is completely fine, but not what I had expected for some reason. The hostesses were very nice and friendly. We arrived 15-20 minutes prior to our reservation, so we grabbed a drink at the bar. My boyfriend and I are pretty understanding people and don't mind if we have to wait a couple minutes for a drink when it's insanely busy - which it was. When it was finally our turn to order a drink, the bartender did not seem too thrilled to take our order. He gestured to my boyfriend to repeat himself by raising his eyebrow and pushing his ear towards us. Did not make any other attempt to be friendly, lean in closer, repeat our order back for verification. Zip. Fine. It was the night before Valentine's Day (which we were making our celebration because we hate preset menus), so we weren't going to let the bartender's weirdness get to us (even though he was being very pleasant and friendly with EVERYONE else). Our drinks tasted fine and were made properly, so we didn't care. Luckily, once we were seated, our staff was SO friendly and more than made up for the bartender. Unfortunately, we cannot remember our server's name, so I cannot give him credit, but he was so wonderful. He was not overly friendly or annoying, and he checked on us the appropriate amount. Our food did not take long at all, even though they were packed. I had the steak tartare and my boyfriend had the cajun chicken - both were very delicious and satisfying! Our overall bill was pretty inexpensive compared to what we expected to spend. We may or may not return, but maybe not to visit the bar.

We were so excited to try this much hyped new restaurant but we were very disappointed both in the service and the food. First, the noise level is way more than "lively"- you literally can't hear conversation at your own table. Second the service is miserably slow. It took 30 minutes for someone to come take our orders. They immediately brought one persons salad but the rest of the tables' apps/soup etc took another 15 minutes, which is strange. It took another 45 minutes after the apps for the entrees to arrive. Meanwhile the table beside us, which arrived 30 min after us, had their food long before us. We would have overlooked the service if the food had made up for it, but it was okay at best. We love trying out new restaurants in Atlanta and most live up to their reputation but this did not, which is very disappointing considering the prices. The steak had little flavor and was a poor quality cut and the fries were very similar to Mcdonalds except not as crispy or warm. My husband had the roasted chicken which he compared to airplane food. Cafe anis's version is far superior. The desserts were okay but not good enough to save the rest of the meal. The only thing that I thought was good (not great) was the tuna tartare. But that won't get us back. We had high hopes in this restaurant since we love the new development and all the other restaurants there. But it won't last long if they can't improve the service and food. Save your money and go anywhere else.

No long winded review here ................The entry ,hostess stand and bar area are all jumbled together as to block servers, guests and everyone else . Poorly designed. The food was either stupidly large portions or poorly executed. Cheese plate ( nothing special ).............. Comes super sized for 27.00 sorta like Hickory Farms ;) ,,,,,,,,,,,ok, if you are sharing with a group; bad if there are just two. Entrees were a miss .......Luke warm and SALTY as hell. Sea bass tasted like sardines served with a sad barely warm ratatouille . Steak and frites ????? . Downright lousy frites with a peculiar aftertaste . Dessert : Profiteroles was another super sized soggy tough mess of disappointment .......... My take is that unless they tweak the menu and things are not so large and ridiculously priced; they will be short lived in their new digs. Took a look at the lunch menu and it starts at about 18.00 and goes upwards of 27.00,,,,,,,, I know they are paying over 100 bucks per square foot, but this isn't the upper east side of Manhattan. Buckhead has plenty of other places to choose that are on established side streets with complimentary parking and great food. Service was very nice .

First thoughts: What a lovely place. Filled with beautiful fresh flowers, blue velvet seating, and a nice bar. Would have loved to sit outside but it was raining when we went. As hip as the Buckhead Atlanta area seems to be (admittedly it's not my scene) I expected a more diverse crowd - but my husband and I seemed to be the only people under 40 there at lunchtime on a Sunday. I was disappointed with the limited menu and ended up ordering sliders because nothing else sounded especially appealing (très américain, I know) but they were fabulous, with prosciutto, spinach and some type of avocado spread. The fries were delicious too. The service was terribly slow despite the number of staff who appeared to be standing around, hence the three-start review. Everything was fairly good, but but not stellar. We probably won't eat there again.

As frequent visitors to the old version of Le Bilbouquet in NYC, not the new larger version when they moved, we were very excited to have the restaurant come to Atlanta and be the star of the new Buckhead Village. The night started out well, then fell apart in spades. The Good- Beautiful space, and reminded us of the old Brasserie La Coze, owner of Le Bernadin in NYC that was forced to close when Neiman Marcus needed their space. Parisian, light, airy, and well suited as a stand alone space. Nice attentive greeting staff that pleasantly allowed us to join the Bar for a drink, before promptly seating us when we requested. Waiter was attentive, and took our wine order, filled water glasses, and took our orders. First course was very well done, with Tuna Tartar, Kale Salad, and Endive salads all first rate. The Bad- From there on it blew up. Wine was ordered, and wrong wine delivered to the table. Easily corrected, but will get back to that later. Entree's were delivered and we were very surprised at the execution. Prime strip steak with fries ordered medium, and medium rare. Both arrived super rare with no char, and were sent back to finish. When returned it was very apparent it was not prime, was not tender, it was just bad beef. Meat vendor should be replaced. Bronzino was ordered, and arrived with very fishy smell, and with a long blond hair that my wife (a brunette) extracted with a stiff upper lip, and then tried to eat. Very fishy, not fresh, and towards the end of the meal caused my wife to visit the ladies room and get rid of what was in her stomach. Fish vendor,or kitchen should be chastised for delivering spoiled fish to the table. Then the final surprise- the bill. It was delivered, and totaled $420. Seemed surprising, so i did what I normally do not do- reviewed in detail the charges. We were charged for 7 entrees(party of four), 6 appetizers, and one bottle of wine extra that was the mistake wine from earlier. I pointed out the mistakes to the waiter, who left to correct it. He came back, still wrong, I pointed out the remaining issues, he left, returned, still wrong. Mistake wine still there. He said take it off my tip. I said no, let's get this right. He left and returned and on the fourth try, it was correct. New bill $260. This implies bad systems, tracking to kitchen, and lack of training of staff. Have to wait at least 6 months to return, and hope they sort themselves out. Too bad, because Atlanta needs new jewel box restaurant, and this could be the replacement for Brasserie Le Coze.

Been here multiple times for dinner and once for brunch. Both are more than lovely to sit outside. Some favorites include both the tuna and salmon tartares, the crab and avocado and endive salad for starters. Squid is also a winner, but could be an entree. As for entrees, you can't go wrong with any of the fish options and the duck is my favorite. Also, best french fries and potato gratin. For brunch, the french toast and crepe suzette are delicious. Service is always on point as well.

Located in the heart of beautiful Buckhead Atlanta Bilboquet is nothing short of a fine French Bistro. One of my favorite places to dine when my corporate colleagues visit from NYC and Paris. The croque monsieur is my go to, but everything on the menu is fantastic. Did I mention how on par the service is? Bilbo To Go, their to to go window in the back, is my new favorite place to pick up a coffee before heading to work.

As close to an authentic Parisien bistro as you will find in Atlanta. Superb service, very good food, and a restaurant which has been architected to create the vibe of the real thing in Paris. What we liked: 1) The dessert are the best thing here (as with most good French restaurants). Get both the chocolate mouse and the profiteroles. I could eat here every day just for these 2 dishes. 2) Several very good appetizers. Smoked salmon, endive salad, tuna tartare. 3) The French fries are fantastic especially with the bearnaise sauce. This is a key test of any parisien bistro and this one stands strong. 4) Service was excellent. Much better than in Paris in fact. They took the time to congratulate us and we're very accommodating to give us the table we wanted. What could be better: 1) They forgot the crab and avocado salad we ordered. Small oversight but nonetheless shouldn't have happened. 2) The food while very good, does have some small room for improvement. Some feedback for them: - Tuna tartare needs some zest or spice to make it less bland (although the freshness and quality is evident as is) - Toast for the smoked salmon should be crispier - The Belgian chocolate mousse isn't rich enough (pales in comparison to what you would find in Brussels) - The profiteroles are very good but need more sauce. Ideally I would serve the sauce table side and pour it at the table. Add also some crunchy chocolate bits to sprinkle on top for texture. Also I think they should offer a choice of chocolate or vanilla ice cream in the profiteroles. 3) Please add a Forêt Noire (Blackforest Gateaux) to the menu. I will give you a fifth star if you do! We're looking forward to going back.

Our waiter was from Costa Rica. We had a much better time understanding him than he understanding us. Ordered a red wine, pointing it out on the menu...he brought a frigid white. He corrected the error and brought what I ordered...at kitchen temperature, which we put on ice to bring it to life. Meanwhile, we had a pleasant conversation w/ the manager, learning that the mussels could be ordered as an appetizer, which I did. A LARGE serving arrived w/ a LARGE order of frites. I was assured this was the appitizer portion. My benchmark for mussels is what was served at Brassiere la Coze; these were a distant disappointment: lukewarm and pretty tasteless. My entree was the Cjun chicken, which was tasty and juicy, but a day or two over the hill. By the way, I was charged for the entree portion of mussels, which was corrected when I pointed it out. IF I return, it will be many moons hence.
