Diners look like this in the North east, but diners in the North East have food that actually tastes pretty good. This Atlanta "Landmark" is a horrible representation of what a diner can and should be. The offesively high menu prices here are an insult to my intelligence. Since when should bacon and eggs cost twelve dollars? I'd rather have breakfast at the Ritz at these prices. Also the restaurant is incredibly dirty and in need of a good steam cleaning. The 24 hour operating hours are convenient, and I would imagine the majority of the business here is by drunken party goers too sloshed to realize how bad this place is.

Last time I try a restaurant because I'm impressed by how much chrome they've hung on the exterior. The food was unimpressive even for a diner. I would rather go to a Waffle House. This place is some weird blend of a Bennigans and an episode of Happy Days. Dont waste your time.

No. Mostly, I just say no. I haven't always had bad experiences here . . . but I've never had really good ones, and I've always been annoyed that I just didn't go to Waffle House. The main draw for me about this place is that it's open 24 hours (caveat: it isn't a bad place for a business breakfast, early am, but most of my experiences were, um, late night). And I don't always want "the grease" of a House meal, so what else are the options right around this neighborhood? The sandwiches aren't bad- grilled cheese or a chicken sandwich, ok. Fries . . .not bad, but not great either. For breakfast (real breakfast, like the 8am kind, not the after-bar-hopping kind), omelets were ok, but a little greasy for my taste and the grits were runny. Not being a dessert person, I haven't tried any but will agree with a couple other reviewers that they certainly look like they'd be fantastic! They do have a really extensive menu, though, so . . . maybe . . . I say, you're better off with the not-too-far-away OK Cafe if it's still open or the Waffle House if it's late night . . . and the Goldberg's just up Roswell Rd if it's a real-morning meal - or lunch!

After 12 years in ATL passing this place by time after time and loving the Marietta Diner and always expecting this would bring the same, I FINALLY made it here. But honestly, only because of a special Tribute To Those with Breast Cancer at the comedy club next door. Thank god for the comedy club! Otherwise I would have left in a ornery mood. All we had was a couple appetizers I ordered from Landmark Diner and they both tasted like they were simply generic, from the grocery store. The Spinich/Artichoke dip didn't even have any artichokes in it and the chips were definitely from the bag and starting to go stale. Then we had the Crispy Crab Croquetta w/ Lemon Aoli. The aoli was very disappointing, especially considering what little there was. I cannot rate them on their service because I was in the comedy club and the poor young lady at the bar was there alone doing all the serving on an overcrowded night due to the event. I will always be going back to the Marietta Diner, but in no hurry to get back here :-/

This place is an good alternative to greasy spoons or those square burgers late at night. Yes, it is hard to have excellent food when you offer all kinds of food on your menu. One thing they do specialize in are desserts. YUM ! Good location and a nice gathering place after a concert or ball game. The later the hour, the more interesting the crowd gets ! :)

I have eaten here twice because I had gift certificates & I wouldn't eat there again if someone paid me to. The service was extremely slow both times, and both times I went after dinner hours when there weren't that many people in the restaurant (after 9pm). The first time I ordered a gyro, and the sauce was so watery and had no taste. The fries were good though. I had an oreo cake and it was HUGE but very bland. I went when there was a comedy show going on in the attached room, and every time the door swung open you could hear one lady cackling so loud and it was really annoying. They also played music during intermission or afterwards that my table was vibrating. If I wanted to hear that during my dinner, I'd go to a sports bar or club or something! The second time I ordered a bacon cheeseburger which was decent. I ordered a chocolate cheesecake for dessert, which was THE most disgusting cheesecake I have ever had. It was dry, and I felt like it must've sat there all week. The crunchy crust at the bottom is usually my favorite part, but this one was nasty. I took maybe 3 bites and couldn't take it anymore! What a waste! I tried to like it, especially due to the fact that I'm living on a college budget and that it's open 24 hours, but there's nooo way I'd ever go back there.

General shady atmosphere like several other mafia diners in Atlanta. Surprises with some Greek inspired dishes on the menu. If the prices were a joke it wasn't very funny. Quality is mediocre at best (the sides are especially poor) and it costs an arm and a leg. J.D. said it best I would rather have breakfast at Ritz at these prices.

The best deserts in Atlanta, hands down!! All lovingly made in-house. My personal favorites are the carrot cake and the kataifi. Mmmmmmm. Skip dinner and order both. You won't be disappointed.

This is possibly the worst food I've ever had in Atlanta. I've tried dinner and breakfast at the Landmark Diner. Even if the food were good, the prices would be outrageous. Everything tasted like it came from a bag. The crab cakes are NOT crab! They're made from processed fish (you know the fish in the bags that is supposed to look like pieces of lobster or something?). The vegetables were definitely frozen. Nothing seemed to be homemade. YUCK!!!!

  • Hans G.

Mushroom omelet was average, service was, though adorable, uninformed and unable to answer even basic questions (e.g. whether the beef hash was homemade). Almost gave it another star for being a charming little diner, but this is Atlanta and there's no shortage of those.

I love this place. I get to Atlanta a few times a year and this is a place I frequent. The decor is nothing to write home about but the food is good and the service works. They always seem to have enough staff to take and deliver orders quickly. The one thing I would avoid is the attached comedy club. If they still have it. Wow, it was like practice night at the comedy junior high. Try the gyros. You will love it.

Don't waste your time or money. This place is horrible. Don't be fooled by the packed parking lot. The restaurant was empty but we decided to try it anyhow. The prices were outrageously high and the food was the worst I have ever had anywhere. Every single item we ordered was horrible. Someone in our party ordered dessert at the beginning of the meal and they waited an hour later to decide to take it out of the freezer. Tiramisu is not meant to be eaten frozen. We said we wanted the dessert taken off of our bill (even though we felt that everything should have been taken off because nothing was edible). The waiter INSISTED we order another dessert and we declined. So he offers to give us a dessert for free telling us we can eat it when we get home (we live an hour away). Upon arriving at home we discovered they gave us BACK the piece of tiramisu that they originally served us, took away and then repacked it. Who knows if they dug it out of the trash? Needless to say we threw it away and will NEVER, EVER be back again.

I had always wanted to check this place out and when i finally made it a tornado came through Atlanta that friday nite but it was 1 in the AM and me and my other half were there wet as a gym towel. The Gyro platter was 100% on the money and for the choice of beef/lamb or chicken that's great. The next night i came back for the huge piece of chocolate cake that made my nite with a hot cup of decafe. Prices to me are about right because the last diner I went to was in The Bronx some time ago.Staff was great and on the side of the building is a small comedy club which i may checkout next time.Great food,a full bar and get a snack to take back to your room/home/apt or to your car. Go for it !

Don't ask me how I ended up here. Trust me, I wasn't happy about it. But it happened, and I wanted pancakes, and I got some pretty good ones, so I suppose I should quit complaining. But where's the fun in that?! This place is straight out of Miami Vice, with awkward pastels, heinous silk flowers, weird "marble," and some super strange furniture choices. The decor is seriously bizarro. The menu is equally scatterbrained as all diners seem to be, and the breakfast selection is especially lacking. Luckily I wanted pancakes, and pancakes they had. The prices are, in a word, ri-goddamn-diculous. 24 hour joints should have two menus: the normal one and then one with jacked up prices that they give to the drunkards that roll in at 4am that don't care how much they pay. $10 for three plain diner pancakes is insane, and they were some of the cheapest stuff on the menu. Oh, and it was $2.50 to add strawberries to them. Yowza. The strawberries were nice and plentiful and the pancakes would have been a little sad without them, but for nearly $13 you can find me happily tucking in to some high quality brunch eats at Rosebud. On the plus side, our server was incredibly sweet and the bathrooms are worth a look. Again, just for the ridiculously over the top decor.

Needed somewhere quiet in Buckhead for an evening dinner with my dad -- drove past and pulled in. Was surprisingly quiet; only three or four other tables were occupied. Service was very good, very attentive, and the menu was diner style, where everything is present from fish to salad to paninis to steaks. Realizing that somewhere in Buckhead at 7pm that's *that* quiet might not be the best place in town, we both played it safe and had sandwiches. The food itself was good but not amazing, and there was a checkin offer for a free dessert, which I used to get a baklava, which is one of my favorite desserts ever. The baklava was actually better then the sandwiches, but I may be biased on that.

Living in the area for 14 years and never been there before. Yesterday was the first time and last... Got a Living Social deal and decided to go try it. We were immediately seated and place was dead for a Saturday night. Waitress was dry, didn't smile and every thing we asked if it was good she said it was. We had to ask to have our waters refilled. Every food we ordered was bad. Boyfriend ordered lasagna which was probably the least worst of all. His Carrot cake was dry and had regular icing instead of cream cheese. I had a spinach and artichoke as appetizer and couldnt be saltier. My Salmon with capers over linguini was a joke!! It was thin slice of salmon and had what tasted/looked like a beaten eggs outside and fried. REALLY???? When is salmon that thin? and fried?? Well, desert was ok, I had a baklava. Never be back again!!!

Good ole fashion dinner open all day. Went with my parents and enjoyed the large portions and good hospitality. Run by the Greek mafia I think. Greek plates are good. Not 5 star food by any means but it's a diner so don't lie to yourself.

Went here after a random Wednesday night of drinking around the Buckhead area. A friend suggested the place and it seemed like a viable option since no one else wanted to drink any further. We went inside this very interestingly decorated place and we seated very quickly. Since it was hump day, the place was dead. I took a look at the menu and was on the hunt for waffles. Been craving them for awhile and needed a fix. I ordered the waffles with bacon strips. Everyone else ordered a mix of breakfast and dinner foods. The service was good, our waiter was very attentive and filled our drinks once they looked even remotely halfway gone. I liked my food, at every last bite. I'm not sure if it's from having the drunkie muchies or if the food was that good. The waffle had a good taste to it and it was crunchy on the edges and fluffy in all the right places. I mainly enjoyed the company I was with and didn't really pay much attention to the place. I wouldn't come here willingly when sober but it was a good alternative to a Waffle House or IHOP. The three stars was given because my meal was just overpriced. I was shocked when I received my bill. Definitely should have looked at the prices before I ordered...eeek!

Unfortunately I have more bad things to say than good. First the hostess was not very friendly or talkative. She said maybe 5 words to us from entrance to exit, including the check-out. She seemed more task oriented than people oriented. The restaurant was not crowed so we were seated immediately. We had one gentleman who brought us water and menus, without introducing himself. He came back to take our order, but had a hard time explaining the menu and did not tell us about any of the specials for the evening. I placed my order, but my friend had not yet decided so he just walked off. Then another waiter came to the table to take the rest of our order and fumbled over explaining that he was helping the first gentleman with our order. We never saw the first guy again. My friend had a question about the sides that came with the food she was selecting. The waiter only stated that the dinner would come with a choice of baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, or fries. My friend's dinner came with a complimentary appetizer that arrived after our dinner arrived. I orded the Monte Cristo with fries. Unfortuately, the fries was the best part. The turkey on the sandwich was very dry and I could not taste the Swiss cheese. My friend ordered the BBQ ribs and chicken. It came with some random vegetable medley that was not described to her when she asked about the sides. She asked the waiter why he didn't explain that previously and he just blew her off saying that came with all meat dishes. He finally offered to replace it with coleslaw or rice. Also, the spinach and artichocke dip that was her appetitizer was salty and came with the worst ,cheap corn chips I have ever seen. I checked in on my Yelp app on my phone and was excited to see they had a check-in offer of a complimentary dessert with purchase of a dinner entree. I showed the waiter my check-in reward and he said I could not redeem it because my friend was using a HalfOff Depot voucher. As we were wrapping up our meal and asking for to-go boxes, he asked if I wanted to add dessert. (not so bright there mister) He also paid more attention to clearing our dishes from the table and rushing us out than he did the entire rest of the meal. Overall, the food was not great and the service was worse. Not a very good impression for a first time visit. I will definitely not be going back there, nor recommending it to any of my Yelpers!

I can not believe that I actually ate here sober! Maybe if I had been drunk my experience would have been somewhat better. Like so many others have said this place is very tacky in it's decor choice, the menu has way too much going on, and the food is just ok at best. Also the prices are way out there as well. For a bowl of soup and side of onion rings to go it was over $10. Besides the soup and onion rings I have also had their country fried steak which was blah. The sides with it were canned carrots and peas and a big soup of mashed potatoes. Not really something that would be good unless I was wasted and eating here. The best thing about Landmark is the service. The servers I've had here have been incredible at service and friendliness.

The food here was terrible!!! My brother in law, wife and I all had different plates. All 3 plates had the worst taste ever. How could you mess up on steak?!????!!!! How could you mess up on pasta?!??!! How could you mess up on chicken?!? All 3 plates were too salty!!!! I cannot imagine going back. What a waste of $100 for my family. The waiter said that its supposed to taste like that. I didn't want to try the dessert.

Oh my aching a** that is an expensive diner. Do not be entranced by the cool fascade and eat here. The diner looks like a cool NY diner and it has food prices which makes you think you are in NY, but the food is average at best. My boyfriend and I ate breakfast here. I've had better food cooked by a junkie at the WH. I will accept average to below-average food if I am paying average or below average prices. But here you're paying $14-$19 for a breakfast entree! Forget that. I cannot recommend dining here for breakfast.

Well went to Landmark Dinner today even after all the reviews they had.my date and I met here to see how it was...even with the bad reviews. Was very good. So have to say the server was so good. She had a wonderful way about her. She was friendly and promised the food would be good. So I called tonight to find out the name of the server....Sorndora. I give her 7 stars...Excellent service.

Good after club spot when IHOP or Chix & Waffles joint is full. Positives: Rather large esp compared to Waffle House Appetizers are great, esp. Disco Fries/Chili Nachos Prices for apps and breakfast are reasonable Negatives: BRIGHT LIGHTS, bad for the currently intoxicated:( Slow service no matter how empty it is Servers seem like wet noodles, that truly hate their life

#Yelp365 #12 - Circling home in Atlanta, we passed and thought we would grab a quick bite. Parking was tough with the bar next door but we managed to find a spot. The staff was friendly, and working through the loud noise, whenever the door would open to the connected bar. The interior made me laugh, giant chairs, bright lights on one side (posted pics), though it seemed clean (did not experience the restroom that David K encountered). The restaurant offers 2 Appetizers, 2 Mains and 2 Desserts for $19.00. The entrees looked like something for each of us but the appetizers were very limited to my liking. We opted to order, I had the brisket of beef and my friend had the lemon chicken over pasta, with cheese covered fries to start us off. The food all arrived quickly and nothing seemed to old or too premade. The martini I ordered (no clue which one) tasted like a mix of alcohol, and alcohol. I don't have a challenge with a strong drink, but I did not expect it from here, nor could I, driving home. Our waiter was kind to us, even if we did take a long time to pass through the menu. We passed on dessert, and he gave us two cookies to go as a snack. On the way out, they had a bread out, which they broke up a piece of it for us to try. As Ben O said - "You could do worse than the Landmark Diner. You could also do better". The prices did seem a bit high, compensating for the 24 hour diner cost. Would not say bad, probably not go back though, just "a-ok".

The people-watching on a Saturday Night/Sunday Morning gets 5-Stars for sheer entertainment value alone... Almost feels like Vegas. The food is pretty much 2-star/3-star fare charged at 4-star prices, but I guess that it beats going to the Awful House. Be prepared to pony up, while taking in the carnival.

I always love to go hang out at the Landmark Diner. The desserts are exceptional. When you order dessert, the pieces are big enough for two! Not to mention YUMMO! The food is good but my favorite part about going is the staff. These guys are open 24/7 for decent food around the clock. If you get the opportunity to go try the disco fries!

I've eaten here a few times. Food is always good and portions are large. I'm giving them the 4 stars because they were so supportive during the Atlanta winter storm on 1/28/14. They allowed many stranded motorists to stay there overnight with no pressure to order more than a cup of coffee. It was a difficult night - many of us had been on the road for 5 to 10 hours in the gridlock between downtown and Buckhead. We were happy to have a safe and warm place to spend the night. Thank you, Landmark Diner!

Good spot for late night food or hangover food. It wasn't awesome, but also not too bad. Prices are reasonable. I wouldn't recommend the grits though.. really bland.

Stopped here for a late night snack. Got the insalata caprese which was decent and a HUGE piece of tiramisu to share, which unfortunately was half frozen. We asked the waitress about it and she wasn't very apologetic. Would not go here again if I was in Atlanta another time.

Save your self the trip from this 24 hr diner. it's expensive I dont care what everyone else is raving about. Didn't like this place at all. As Gordon Ramsey says, "when the menu is too big the place is trying to hide something.." We got vegetable omelette and Grouper sandwich close to lunch time on a weekend with the diner being almost empty. The service was slow the food was not up to par and the environment wasn't all that great. Will not rerun to this place. 2 stars for good dessert selection. only.. they charged me $2.50 for a small cup of coffee and didn't even refill it until AFTER i was done with my meal and $1.00 for cheese? this place either is in real trouble financially or is trying to cover expenses through the customer.

There's only a few reasons a restaurant remains open 24 hours a day, and we took advantage of this after the bars closed and we were looking to make less-than-great decisions. I will say that the well-dressed Lebanese gentleman taking our order was more than patient with the drunken distractions of people who were cohesive enough to come up with the idea of going somewhere to eat but couldn't figure out what specifically to eat. It's a diner not so much in the classic small eggs and hamburgers joints of the 50's, but more of the "little bit of everything" that places like Denny's popularized. This was evidenced by the grilled cheese, chicken pita, scrambled eggs, and fried grouper that the table ordered. My grouper was pretty well-fried, though it was dressed pretty plainly with the standard sandwich-making materials and ordinary fries. A parmesan ketchup was nice, though, and tasted pretty good for four in the morning. As the people at my booth got distracted and stumbled off to get lost down the streets of Buckhead, I got to try the other dishes. I wasn't impressed by the chicken pita nor scrambled eggs (though you can't really expect much about the latter), but the grilled cheese was a substantial rendition, served on hearty rye bread and containing a balancing amount of cheese. There's not enough here for me to return during the light of day, but the Landmark diners unoffensive American was pretty good in the middle of the night, and I give them props for putting up with not one, but two glasses of spilled water. We all left to find our way home down the empty Piedmont avenue, but with our munchies satisfactorily quashed.

One hot mess. This diner is where you go simply because it's 1 am, nothing else is open and you don't want to go home. I can deal with the forgettable savory menu items but what just baffles me is the stunning dessert displays that bombard you when you enter. None of them taste good. I've tried over and over and it's always two bites and I don't want to bother with the rest. Service is fine and it's generally clean but considering it's an eating establishment the food should be of higher quality. Only recommended when it's the witching hour and you're not a bar person.

I'm gonna keep it short and to the point: -Service was bad. Manager was being rude, because the guy next to us was drunk and obnoxious and we were joking around with him. Hello?! It's 4 A.M. and we literally were the only ones there. Lighten up. -Food was pretty good for 4 a.m. -kinda pricey though -Nice bathrooms

I love the Landmark, especially for lunch. They have a great deal with a half sandwich, huge salad and choice of soup for only $7.95. I haven't strayed much from this combo, but I can vouch for the omelets and their burgers. The decor is a little out there, but i think it adds to the diner's appeal. I have always had decent service, with a few trips better than others, but great on the whole. the most important thing is to SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT. They have amazing cakes, pies and eclairs and the portions are beyond compare. Its probably the only place you need a to-go box for dessert. The cream pies are probably my favorite with coconut in the lead. Parking is great, especially for Buckhead and there is rarely a wait.

First time visiting, and I will NEVER go back. The menu? Ridiculously over-priced. $13.99 for a mediocre omelet? $14 for a gyro? Those prices should be cut in half, it was nothing special. Then, the cake display got me. I thought, "maybe this is a dessert and coffee kind of place." So I got a slice of cannoli cake to-go. Bad idea. I got it home and after a few bites decided I didn't like it and put it in the fridge for my boyfriend. I was up all night feeling extremely ill. The next morning, my boyfriend found the cake was moldy. Wish I had seen that the night before. Explains why I was so sick. I'm a reasonable person, I realize you get what you pay for. But at those prices, they should seriously be able to rotate their desserts out to make sure their customers' health isn't being compromised that they can't even go to work. You want a 24 hour restaurant? Go to Waffle House. You'll pay 70% less and (fingers crossed, I know it's a lot to ask) get a non-moldy waffle.

Went to the diner randomly looking for coffee and dessert. Probably would have been better off going to Cafe Intermezzo or something closer, but settled here and ended up eating dinner as well. Our servers were really awesome and on the ball. The menu had a little bit of everything and I ended up going for one of the daily specials (Chicken Princess) because it came with a dessert and soup. I chose the vegetable soup which turned out to be pretty good, with lots of fresh big chunks of veggies (not like the canned veggies). My chicken, however, was just blah. The amount of food on my plate was ridiculous - it was enough to feed 4 people. The chicken was bland and the crab meat looked a bit sketchy. I ended up stealing some tomato sauce from my husband's lasagna to give my chicken/noodles some flavor. For dessert, we picked a piece of chocolate fudge cake and coffee. The coffee was decent but the cake was disappointing. It was also way oversized and the cake part was dry. The frosting/fudge was okay, but nothing amazing. I also hated the decor - i guess they are going to that kitschy style look, but really wtf. I felt like I was in a time warp. Won't be seeking this diner out again, unless I find myself with no other options really late at night. But this is Atlanta, there's always other options!

We went to the Landmark the beginning of January after having not been there in a long time. A few things changed-the decor a bit and the prices went up! My husband had steak and eggs and he was satisfied. I had a panini and it was just okay. Not really grilled like I thought it would be. I now know I really don't like Ciabatta bread as a panini sandwich. The fries were great. Got a cookie before I left. Be aware that their cookies are not that sweet and it was barely done, but I know some people like them that way. Overall it was ok, but I should have gotten liver and onions which I know from previous visits that they do it well. However the service was great and at least we had a Groupon!

I ended up here because of a facebook coupon. Why did I get two of those coupons is beyond me. The food was okay. I ordered the dinner combo which included a bowl of matzah ball soup, veal parmesean, and a desert. The matzah ball soup tasted like canned chicken soup which they added a couple of matzah balls, I was not impressed. The veal parmesean was eh. The desert I had it to go. Customer service was great, our waiter was very friendly and helpful. I really doubt I'll be back again, it wasn't nothing that impressed me. I could save some gas money and simply go to Marietta Diner.

I have to be honest...we actually stopped by a few other places first, but couldn't get a table since it was Mother's Day. With that said...below are my pros and cons. Note...my review is between 2 and 3 stars. Pros - * VERY good service! * My boyfriend ordered the pancakes with a side of eggs and they were good. Basic buttermilk pancakes. Cons - * A tad pricey for diner food. * Fries were under cooked and cole slaw wasn't very good. I went with a grilled cheese with bacon (one of my favorite diner picks) and these were my two side items. Sandwich was ok, but very common. I also only had two bread choices (white and wheat). I was surprised with that. * They had a bunch of coffee drinks on their menu, but their espresso machine was broken. Fun. Overall...not the best diner (food-wise) in the city, but the service was great.

I give two stars, only because my friend was able to get my crappy food taken off the bill. At least they were willing to not make me pay for being grossed out. Diner. 2 am. Of course it's not going to be amazing, but at least let it be edible, and vaguely satisfying. I wasn't that hungry, nor drunk, so I just ordered a bowl of chili, which I figured couldn't really be messed up since Wendy's can do it, but oh how wrong I was. It was almost like being served a can of barely warm dog food covered in a mound of barely melted cheddar cheese. I couldn't eat more than a bite, but like I said, at least they took it off the bill. My friend was somewhat satisfied with his plate of diner blah-ness, but I will never be coerced to go here again. No matter what the hour or craving! It just isn't worth it!

Let me just say that a few years ago I went here for dinner and the food was excellent. Apparently they have went downhill since then. I went for lunch last week and the place was barely populated. I should have known something was wrong. It should have been crowded at noontime in buckhead during the weekday. Anyhow I had the mini burgers which were very good but one of them was not cooked enough. Instead of fries I opted for potato salad which had so much stuff in it I couldn't eat and the potatoes were too firm. I'd rather traditional potato salad. All in all the menu didn't impress me that is why I got the burgers. I may try them for dinner since this is where I had a good experience last but I'm having a feeling I'm going to be disappointed. Staff was friendly. My one star is strictly based on the food and the menu didn't do it for me.

As an attempt to offer my father an alternative to Waffle House, which he enjoys going to on his breakfast time trips to Atlanta to see me, I suggested that we try out Landmark Diner. Before this morning I had never checked out the metal-and-neon diner that shines so brightly just down the road from me. Upon entering we were immediately ushered to a table close to the entrance and our waitress informed us that the breakfast rush had ended just prior to our arrival and that she was relieved to have a table. If nothing else, at least this meant that service was quick and fairly attentive and our orders were speedily prepared and delivered. Our coffee cups were never empty and we left far more awake and energetic than we felt when we walked in. When considering which portion of the menu I would study I remembered that a number of my friends who have lived in the area talk about going to the Diner at almost every hour of the day and being able to get breakfast 24/7. Therefore, I settled on the back page of the menu, the breakfast selection, and spotted one of my breakfast staples, my favorite fall-back, one of the most deliciously artery-clogging and blood pressure-spiking items available; the corned beef hash. After becoming hooked on the corned beef hash from Corner Cafe/Buckhead Bread quite a few years ago I have come to judge all other offerings up against this original (for me) eggy, salty, starchy masterpiece. Unfortunately, my hash this morning resembled less of a da Vinci and more of a finger painting. The could-have-been-crisp corned beef and potatoes were soggy and could have come from nowhere but a can and looked like nothing that I had ever been served in a restaurant. My eggs, prepared sunny-side-up, were fine (come on, they are plain eggs) and the home-fried potatoes were alright; I liked the crispy little bits of potato that hung off of the large chunks of spuds that were a little crunchy on the outside and cooked nicely through on the inside. My father ordered the Western Omelet, with American cheese added in, and requested sliced tomatoes instead of home fries or grits. He happily ate everything on his plate and was very satisfied with the Diner's omelet as a replacement for the ham and cheese version that he generally opts for at Waffle House. His order seemed pretty standard with sheets of bright orange cheese folded in to the center of the eggs and thin squares of ham flecked throughout. The ultimate goal was to try something new and find something that my dad would enjoy for breakfast; mission accomplished. However, I do not foresee myself returning to Landmark Diner of my own accord anytime in the near future. Maybe the nighttime scene sheds a better light on the Diner and maybe taking advantage of the full bar would have brightened up our meal but we kept it simple and stuck to the breakfast basics.

You could do worse than the Landmark Diner. You could also do better. The prices are pretty high for diner fare ($9.99 for a cheese omelette?!), but you can find value here and there. We took advantage of their $19-for-two special: two appetizers (which included a huge and tasty spanakopita), two entrees (from a selected list), and two classic Greek-diner desserts (i.e. rice pudding and/or bread pudding). There was only one vegetarian option on the prix fixe menu -- a dozen large round cheese ravioli, which were just like Mom makes at home. (I don't know about your Mom, but mine grabs a bag of frozen Rosetto and dumps them into the water.) The tomato sauce seemed to be at least semi-homemade, though. What else to say? They serve a small sliced challah loaf with your meal, and there's free wifi, and if you're craving an omelette at four in the morning... go to Waffle House, because $9.99 for that stuff is TOO MUCH!

I come here often when I am in town -- it's pretty much your standard diner: same menu as all the others but kind of disappointing taste-wise. Don't get me wrong, everything is edible, but nothiing is spectacular!

Live bug in my avocado will keep me away for good. My coworkers and I went here for lunch. It was my first visit there- fun decor, large menu. But the bug did me in and I won't be back. I ordered the Cobb Salad which was enormous and tasty-- until I noticed tiny legs squirming in my avocado. There was a spider or some sort of bug stuck head-first inside my half-avocado and it was still ALIVE. Of course we were all disgusted and my colleagues couldn't finish their salads either. We called the manager over and showed him the bug-- and the worst part? He was barely apologetic. "Sorry, but it could happen anywhere-- it's the time of the year, the bugs get in the avocados, nothing to do about it..." At the end the waiter came over and said the same- that he was sorry, had never seen that before there in his time as a waiter, but it was the season and the bugs could get in there. They cut the avocados fresh for the salads, so I"m sure that's true that the bug was already in the avocado-- but sheesh, when you slice it open take a look! And if a customer has a live bug in their food, be apologetic and comp the whole table! My 3 coworkers couldn't touch the other halves of their meal and yet had to pay for everything. Bad reaction to the situation. Will NOT be returning ever, both due to the live bug and the poor service.

What exactly a diner is to you is a very personal thing. I grew up in an area without classic diners, so I have a romanticized vision of what a diner should be. Technically, I would call The Landmark a "diner". A quick glance at The Landmark reveals a mix of appropriate an inappropriate elements, which is quite confusing. Appropriate: Case full of cakes and pies, slightly dated cigarette vending machine. Inappropriate: College age servers that haven't been chain smoking since they were 12, 80's music in the background, modern furnishings and brightly colored walls. Reviewing the menu is a familiar procedure; all the standards are there. I was beginning to have my doubts when my coffee arrived. It was thick as mud, just like you would expect from a real diner. I started to relax a little. The quality of the food surprised me as it rivaled the food in the best diners that I have visited. The food was so good that I actually dined here two nights in a row, which is a rarity for me. The juxtaposition of familiar and foreign was a little jarring, but The Landmark gets the food right. If food is king for your diner experience then don't hesitate to visit; go right now (they are open 24 hours a day). However, if a diner is more to you than just a great meal then you'll have to look elsewhere.

Imagine if you will a Denny's type dinner, you enter in and there's a Bar! to your left is a night club! Craziness! are you dreaming! no you have entered the Landmark Buck head dinner! Late night Dinner where you can get a Burger, Gyro, and a Martini! yes I was there on business so I didn't drink , but they looked like they great assortment...of specialized Martinis... I Had a Latte with Hot chocolate mixed (I asked, they delivered) oh nice touch to have ground Cinnamon and nutmeg on the latte... I had a Chicken Gyro...It was good. well sized, the only thing was the chicken was flat like it was processed? but It was still good tasting... WAY TOO HOT! My biggest complaint is all the food was steaming! now maybe I'm a pansy when it comes to this but even the Gyro took a long wile before I could eat it...It was raining out side maybe they thought I wanted to burn my tongue? De core-OK dirty dinner yes....But they have TVs That playing MUSIC VIDEOS! at least when I was there...nice touch...there might have been some playing sports but I would never have noticed... People- well there's a night club in the same Building....so crazy mix of young and foreign clubbers and the old crazy people you see at the Waffle house...brilliant.... grr I started this review with a 4 stars.....but I really liked it regardless of the HOt food and pounded chicken....

One word - pathetic. Do not eat at this place even if someone pays you to do so. I am a BIG seafood fan and I tried the grilled salmon here. This is when I realised that Salmon can taste so bad.

This place is just a typical diner. Nothing spectacular. I was visiting Atlanta for a conference and needed a good, cheap meal to chat with my boss in between meeting with clients. I will say that the service was very nice and the portions are large. The ambiance and decor was also typical diner which feels honey and comfortable when on the road.

I love this place! We've been in Atlanta for just over a week, and we've been in three times, and had take out twice. The desserts are MASSIVE, you should know. It's spacious, has nice light, and super nice waitstaff. I hear (from my husband and my brother) that the burger is good, but I haven't tried it. The food is good - not amazing, but we go for the atmosphere and the giant menu selection. Obviously I like the food well enough, if I've been there five times in ten days...

Ok take it from me, you will never see a star here. But you will see Buckhead old money. I use to go here every other day and get Alfredo or Salmon. Both are amazing and both are pricey! This is also a great spot to secret date someone. No one is ever there! P.S. They deliver if you live in Buckhead!

Landmark Lounge: International Night on Weds & Greek Night on Sat. Landmark Lounge is adjacent to the Landmark Diner off Roswell Road and Piedmont Road. It's ambience reflects its location being on the edge of the Buckhead area moving towards Sandy Springs. The lounge offers everything from the comfy couches wrapping around the room, hookah's burning apple flavored tobacco, belly dancers flaunting their hips, hot waitresses asking for your next drink order, and an awesome DJ that places a worldly set of beats to dance to. It's only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but it's open late till 3 am. So when your done hitting up the same Buckhead bars you and your friends always go to, try Landmark Lounge. Expect higher than your regular bar prices. But there is never a cover, and you don't have to pay for parking. Expect a mix of people. You won't find many frat boys here. Do expect to hear others speaking different languages. Don't expect to know every song the DJ plays, but do expect to like it (he's the reason why I go here). And maybe you'll find that you like the place, and maybe you'll find out that you don't.

If you've never been to a real diner (think New York), then I could see how this place might appear to actually be one. It looks like one. It offers food like one. But it's a far cry from a real diner experience. It's worth the trip to New York. Meanwhile, back to Atlanta's sad version: the food is just not good. There's no way around it. The grilled cheese, which really isn't a hard food item to make, was a combination of lightly browned white bread and congealed American cheese slices. Noooo thank you.

All we wanted were some eggs and a side of pancakes. Apparently this takes an act of Congress since there are no sides of pancakes in the menu, just pancakes as a meal. We went in around 12:30 in the afternoon and there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. Still, it took about 25 minutes to get our orders to the table. Friendly, slow and expensive. With all the choices in the area, this is not the combination I was looking for.

There are plenty of different food options available, including those that are vegetarian friendly. There's also a large dessert area with so many different choices of cake and other sweets.

Diner decor and menu items with decidedly un-diner prices. My first experience with Landmark Diner was during one of those hazy late night searches for food at 3 in the morning during a college road trip from North Carolina to Atlanta. We were looking for a Waffle House, but were frankly too lost and too tired to keep driving around looking for one. We figured that a 24-hour diner would be our best bet for some much needed food and coffee before heading home and crashing. The fact that the host was wearing a tuxedo shirt and bow tie at 3 AM should have tipped me off that we were out of our league (that and the fact that he looked like he would have preferred us to go somewhere else). The prices were high, the service was moody at best, and the food was unremarkable. I've been back to Landmark a few times, always when the closest Waffle House was too busy and would have taken too long. That's the only reason I'd pick Landmark for a late night emergency meal.

  • Emma G.

This place is ridiculous. The prices are insanely high for below average food. $16 for a sandwich seems ridiculous for a gourmet sandwich, let alone two pieces of bread and some old deli meat from a diner. The service is good, but the quality of food is nowhere near worth what they are charging. I would like this place if they cut their prices in half.

Way too overpriced for a diner! I ate here once and was at awe with the menu prices. One would think this was a sophisticated gourmet establishment; it's a freaking diner, no less, no more. It doesn't matter how much money you have to spare, there are things that should never go beyond a certain price range. It's like you pay Buckhead prices for meals that should be fairly cheap. It's like buying gas on Roswell Road or on Peachtree Street. What's the point? If you're near Piedmont and Lenox roads, bypass The Landmark Diner and go to Waffle House. At least you know how much the food will cost.

First time for us to eat here. Vegetable soup was awesome! I had the Beef burger and onion rings. The Beef burger was moist and juicy and the onion rings were huge! Very good. You get plenty of food on your plate so come hungry! Too full to try a dessert. Glad we gave this place a try. We will be back. Service was great also.

Great black n blue burger (blue cheeseburger), great dessert (cheesecake, red velvet cake, etc...) A little pricey for a "diner" but you get huge portions so usually you have enough for 2 meals! The chicken gyro is really great too. The place is never busy though....but food is good and service is good. Yummy!

Landmark Rest is bookmarked by my family and I as one of our favorite's day and night. They cost a good price for it to be a college eatery. But the food is good. The dessert's look scrumptious. One day I'll try it. You get a lot for your money. We are always full and it is hard to fill up my husband.

Went here on a Saturday night. I think we got there around 11 pm... too early... (tip: it's around the corner from the diner, if you're facing the diner, it's around the left side, there's a side entrance) the place is small, they play good euro-techno style music, very comfy couches. I suppose the place would pick up as the night went on, but the only strange part was that it seemed everyone who went there knew each other (understandable-- they all looked European). So, I guess we felt like the "outsiders". There was a cover: $5 each. I suppose it would be a cool place to come back later in the night with more people... I'll probably give it another try down the line.

I might end up taking back what I said earlier about this Sandy Springs Diner. First time that it opened, I had a nice, well-done Rib-eye steak. Nothing too fancy, but it taste quite good. They also took the time to make Sweet tea when there was none available at the time. However, today, I ordered the same and thing and it was. . . charred. There was still a lot of meat, surprisingly. Still tasty, despite all that. No sweet tea still (huh?). I was told they only have unsweetened, but they'll mix the sugar. Well, I got my tea and. . . it wasn't mixed. NEWSFLASH - this is the South - you must have sweet tea available on tap. It is just not acceptable not to have it ready. I'll give it another couple of tries.

The Landmark Diner is nothing special. This so-so restaurant will do at three in the morning if you are craving chicken fingers or gilled cheese, but hopefully you can wait to get home and make your own meal. I can't imagine eating here any other time of the day. It's already hard enough to swallow this food semi-sober in the middle of the night.

went to landmark diner for lunch today on roswell rd..got the beef gyro and tried my colleague's shrimp alfredo.. very ok.. nothing remarkable..gyro had too much lettuce and tomatoes and wayyyy too much fries..for a gyro in a place run by a greek family was quite disappointing..also 12$ for a gyro is a little steep IMHO.. ambience was good, cozy and comfortable tip: do a yelp checkin and get a free dessert..

Overpriced and nasty food! Had breakfast that was lousy. How can you go wrong on a simple meal? Had an egg white omelette with mushrooms spinach and cheddar cheese- way too much spinach- couldn't find the egg and cheese hidden in the spinach- and they charged $10.99 for the omelette, PLUS $1.00 cheese, .75 spinach, $1.25 egg white, $2.25 TEA. Overpriced and not worth it! Eat somewhere else- these prices are for an upscale restaurant, not for Landmark Diner.

  • Shalin P.

We came here after a night of clubbing. The prices are a little more expensive than your typical diner, but the big attraction for this place is that they actually have a chicken gyro on the menu. And it is excellent! I wish more restaurants had chicken gyros.

First time I've been back in years. Food was just "ok". Service was good but the Manager was rude. I saw him arguing on two separate occasions with different customers. Was not friendly at all when we came in or when we left. Would not be back again because of the manager/host.

Went there. $25 including tip for an average meal. Nothing to write home about food-wise kinda bland. I actually like the decor outside hey neon lights still catch my attention. Service is always slow. They sit you down quickly but then the slow service begins. In this visit the waiter was friendly. But gawd on the other visit... the chicken was friendlier and the ice warmer.

They have a huge menu, but every time I go it smells..not sure if it's a cleaner smell, or roach spray. Co-worker found living grasshopper in the cake display, food never seems like anything special, probably microwaved and it gets cold very fast. Bummer since I love gyro wraps, but if your craving one of those, the place in lenox mall is better.

Where else could you have flame grilled chicken souvlaki, steamed vegetables, lemon chicken noodle soup and a ton of dessert and breakfast options at 2am in Atlanta? Look no further than the Landmark diner as prompt service and consistently good greek and western quality food selections in huge portions are served 24 hrs. You can even indulge with the ton of desserts like cheesecake, baklava, etc. Unless you go for greasy options like ihop and wafle house, this is the best and healthiest option for dining overnight in the city.

The owner of this establishment were my neighbors and his son and I are good friends with that said I hope they dont read my review. I'll just say the food is mediocre at best. But some of their desserts are really good, they purchase their baklava from a authentic Greek bakery and their hummus is really good. Recently they been offered crap load of money to sell their place, I hope they take it. This place needs a new restart.

Normally I love Greek diners like The Landmark. But I wasn't impressed by it at all. I had some of the Greek food and it was just mediocre. Even the breakfast food was subpar. I guess this place would do if you're in the area at 3 in the morning and craving some eggs or something. If you're truly craving awesome Greek diner food, drive the 25 minutes to the Marietta Diner. It's totally worth it.

After the Erykah Badu concert on Friday night (which was GREAT), my husband and I decided to venture out and try The Landmark Diner. We were both tired and extremely hungry and looking forward to a good hot meal. Well, I must say that we were very disappointed by both the service and the food at Landmark. My husband had the chili burger, but the waiter forgot to bring out the chili even after us reminding him. I ordered the chicken Philly cheese steak which came out as a traditional Philly cheese steak. By that time, I was too hungry to tell the waiter about the mix-up. After taking a bite of the sandwich, I knew that we would have been more satisfied stopping at the local McDonald's drive-thru. The service was slow and not attentive at all even though the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. Don't waste your time or hard-earned money with this place, I know I won't make that mistake again!!

So here is a place to go when you're too drunk or tired to know better.. I have been a couple of times and never has the whole table been happy. I however only get eggs or belgian waffle or cheesecake everything else is an at risk for disaster order it tastes cheap and cost a bit 9 bucks for waffle dinner items easy 20bucks this is a place that can make a muck of breakfast, its sad i wanted r thomas, but the journey seemed long and looking back gut feelings really r the way to go

Just your typical diner. Good service. Pretty extensive menu but it's a lot like the Cheesecake Factory of diners. Good/average at a lot of things, but nothing that says, "Oh I would definitely come back here for this!". The portion sizes are big. Not bigger than Marietta Diner plates, but pretty damn close. But everything here is just average or bland. Gotten pasta plates, breakfast, sandwiches w/fries. Never disappointed but it's pretty costly. Everything runs at least $10 and up. Entrees are between $15 - 25. Got the steak and eggs recently. Just plain eggs, plain steak, grits (no butter or anything), and toast. No seasoning on anything. If you're looking for a late night bite in the Buckhead area with plenty of options, this is a good place if you don't mind shelling out some $$$ or the cost of another dinner. Plenty of parking. They have a wide variety of desserts/cakes like Marietta Diner but not nearly as many as there of course. But if you're looking for something cheap, then you may want to check out Waffle House. They also serve eggs, grits, and toast at a fourth of the cost. Just sayin. Relive those college days. You don't get what you pay for here.

We've been doing a lot and our horse & buggy tour guide recommend this place, he also gave us a discount coupon to use. It's getting late, and they are open 24hr. It was a short walk from where we parked our car. We wanted a light dinner: Caesar Salad with Shrimp. Everything's fine here! My husband ordered the onion soup and it came with toasted (burned toast of French bread). The waitresses & the cashier, didn't know much about the Skyline view of Atlanta, hanging on their wall, when I asked them what is the name of that building to the left or right. I lived in my city, and I'm a foreigner, and if you asked me the name of the buildings, I would know. As a tourist in your city, you should, too, if you're gonna hang a photo of YOUR city! LOL

I'm really surprised this place has such a low rating overall. Honestly, I'm thankful there's a place that serves decent food at all hours of the night. I wouldn't go there during the day or anything, but that's just because there are soooo many other great places to eat during regular dining hours that are less expensive and have a way better atmosphere. Anyways, for after hours eating they are perfect! Their menu is extensive. You can get anything from cheese sticks to LOBSTER to french toast. Anything, your drunken heart desires. Plus, they have free cookies at the front! This weekend I ate the gyro, and it was great! Not as good as the ones you find outside of Opera, but better than what you'd find from a chain restaurant. Their phillys are really good there too btw. Over the years, the only thing I've been disappointed in was their salads. This weekend I also tried out their french toast. I ordered it to go, so I'm sure it would have been way better fresh. Nevertheless, it was still fine on re-heat. It was as good as R. Thomas's just different in taste. For any out-of-towners, just know this place is pretty legit. They even have a private dining area for our ATL A-listers to sober up in, so clearly they food isn't terrible. It's real food as opposed to the more common choices at that hour. i.e. Steak N Shake, Waffle House, and *gasp* McDonalds. Again, so thankful they exist!

Summary: Come here drunk, stay drunk, and don't try to eat healthy. Definitely try a dessert. Interestingly, this was my first time going sober. I have been here many times, but I don't remember those times very often being intoxicated. Not going to lie though, great drunk food. But great sober food too! A little more expensive than I use to for a diner, but it is in Buckhead... I used my yelp deal and got a free dessert. It was a huge slice of tiramisu! And the serve (Nikolai I believe?) was extremely nice and actually brought us some cheesecake too. The cheesecake was greater than the Tiramisu. I have had better tiramisu. The cheesecake tasted great though. I want to try a different flavor next time, because they have many cheesecake flavors. We got strawberry. It was interesting, because there were real strawberries, but with strawberry gelatin on top also. The tiramisu was mostly lady fingers, little bit of spongy-ness and lots and lots of whip cream with chocolate chip flakes. Some people are into that though. I didn't really taste the coffee. Speaking of my addiction, they actually made me a decaf iced coffee and it tasted great. Exactly what I needed at 1am. My cousin got a shrimp cocktail. I would not recommend this. It is simple shrimp, no flavor. I did not enjoy the cocktail sauce either. My cousin liked it because it was healthy, but it had no taste to me. Maybe it isn't suppose to. I ordered a "landmark healthy omelette" which was great! It indeed tasted healthy. They make it with egg whites and grilled chicken. Paleo-friendly! Although if you're dieting, tell them not to bring you the toast that comes with it. It tasted good, but lots of carbs. The fruit tasted semi-healthy, because it seemed to have this like slight sugary syrup taste. Drinks wise, my cousin got a vodka-tonic and their drinks are strong!

Landmark is one of those places you go to because it's open 24/7 and that's the only reason, at least for me. If I had to give them one compliment, I would say that they are very well run. The same owner/manager is always there making sure that things are going smoothly. Most servers are great and very accommodating, but I had a one or two not so good experiences. Food selection is so enormous, they might give Cheesecake Factory menu a run for the money! However, just as you would expect with such a huge menu, most things are just not that good. I would strongly suggest staying on the Greek side of the menu as well as the trout sandwich. Other items we got, such as burger, wings and nachos were not good at all.

Pros: it's super cute on the outside & it seemed clean on the inside. Cons: the food was wayyyy over priced for the amount and quality you are paying for. I would rather go to a Waffle House for a plate of eggs and potatoes for half the price and sweeter servers. I felt like my plate was previously made and just warmed up and put on my plate. Our waiter was not very friendly either. With all the restaurants I could go to around here, I would suggest others to try some where else before eating here.

OMG!!! CAUTION!! BEWARE!! The Landmark Diner with a comedy club in the rear, located @ the intersection of Piedmont and Roswell, across the street from Blockbuster and the Mattress Firm is doing too much by gaining a 1 star vote from me! Let me start by saying that the service is as slow as molasses. I ordered a meal containing scallops and allegedly steamed veggies but the "scallops" were burnt to a crisp and the so-called steamed veggies tasted more like steamed sole from my sneakers! I requested a garden salad with italian dressing but was steadfastly served a ceasar salad (which I hate!) I asked the server, who had to be all of 921 years old (which is fine because older citizens sometimes have to work too!) but I mean it took him 4 different trips to our table for him to finally get me the Italian dressing I craved but of course by the time the salad got there, my meal (if you wanna call it that) was over! The French onion soup that I ordered tasted like pigs had been bathing in it and I was totally displeased with the meal! that will probably be my LAST trip to this, or any other Landmark Diner because at the end of the meal, the best part of the meal was the bread.........and I don't even eat bread!!! When asked by the manager, "how was everything" I told him that "it was awful" and explained in detail! He then offered a freaa dessert that I quickly declined (due to past bad experiences with those as well), paid the $34.00 tab for my date and I and exited the bldg as if my life depended on it!

The German waitress was on point with her service, she went above and beyond. The chicken parm was absolutely delicious but the pasta was pretty bad. Cold and flavorless. My dad and friend weren't a big fan of the gyro and the philly cheese seal but the server made up for it with her enthusiasm and accommodative service. The food was pretty good overall for three am!

Well, I had high hopes. New waiter, slow service and wrong order. Pretty sure they're nuc'ing the food because it comes out scalding hot. Chicken was tough, old but hot. Nuc'ed again. They won't honor their check in yelp offer said I could have either bread pudding or rice. None of their nicer desserts. Cold as hell in there too. I like cold weather but don't like shivering as I'm trying to eat. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Hope they'll try harder to survive. Other nicer places.

Pretty outside, crap food! Keep driving....we're from Florida, driving thru to check the resturants...a local told us to try this diner...BIG mistake! 2 eggs 2 bacon pieces, toast, and some cold old potatoes is what they served me for $12. Wife got the burger for around $15....it sucked too. Staff was great and the inside was cool...desserts looked good and it's and diner that serves drinks so that idea was cool. Maybe go there if you can't find a waffle house and you are loaded at 3 am. Avoid during day time hours!

The Landmark Diner is pretty bad, yet I think everyone should go there at least once for the experience. It's open 24 hours, so I am assuming most of their business comes after 3:00 AM when patrons don't realize there's a Waffle House 1/2 mile down the road. I can't imagine anyone knowingly coming here for breakfast at a normal hour. It is also worth mentioning that a meal at Landmark is roughly three times the cost of a meal at the WaHo. The smothered, covered, and chunked hash browns are also worlds tastier. This review, however, is for Landmark Diner rather than my undying love for Waffle House. The décor of this place is truly gaudy and intriguing. The Miami Vice pink and green neon lights just draw you in like a moth to a flame. Once inside, you are surrounded by tacky silk flowers and odd purple lighting The whole scene makes me think of Pulp Fiction for some reason. Jack Rabbit Slims anyone? This place should seriously been in a movie because the atmosphere is just that truly mesmerizing and weird. I'm thinking a Greek mafia movie would be appropriate. I say Greek because there are lots of random Greek entrees scattered in this very large menu. During my one experience here, I had the "Two Giant Hot Dogs Platter." For $11.99 + tax and tip I received to burnt giant hot dogs. I didn't even know it was possible to mess up a hot dog, but it is, especially when you paid approximately $15 for it by the time you've tipped. The crispy fries were pretty substandard as well. The have a lot of desserts to choose from, but judging by the other reviews, those are best avoided as well. I'm glad I went because the pink and turquoise neon lights are so fascinating from outside, but I seriously doubt I'll ever go back. In short: three Waffle House meals or one Landmark Diner meal? That's a no brainer. Consider yourself warned.

Is it weird that I've only been here drunk and after midnight? That being said, it's the best late night food in Buckhead. When I lived here I'm 90% sure this is the reason I gained weight due to late night eating...but every time I come back to visit, I have to return to see our precious, favorite waiter Spiro and soak up the alcohol. The food is pretty good (especially the Disco fries) but also really expensive for what it is. The waitstaff gets major bonus points for putting up with all the tipsy 20-somethings!

Great place for late night dining when you don't want to goto Waffle House. The menu is huge so there is something there for everyone. I usually get the gyro. My husband usually gets the Philly cheesesteaks. They're both really good. The cakes are huge and delicious. There are some expensive fancy items on the menu aside from your typical diner food. My recommendation is to stick with the diner food. It's much better and you won't leave disappointed.

I'm so glad this place exists for late night pie and irish coffee. The interior is as kitschy and expected as possible - everything a diner should be - and the slices of pie are huge. I think it's owned by a greek family - and the entire wait service staff seem to be either family or friends (it's cute to watch). There also seems to be a mixed crowd there - both young and old - a good sign for a place that has been around the block a few times . I was a little surprised by the prices for everything; $10 for a sandwich - though their servings are pretty large. For any New Yorker looking for a diner that reminds them of home - this is the place.

The WORST diner experience on the planet. Yes, I get it - its a diner but our experience was below unacceptable. All was well at first when we arrived around 3am to satisfy our food cravings after a night out. They serve liquor at that hour too which is good for those folks who just don't want their night to end. We decided to skip liquor and go for the food. Well, there was a roach right next to us who apparently wanted to dine with us as well. Our waiter laughed it off and killed it with a napkin on the spot and they waved around and said there you go, all good? We were mortified. Then he said go ahead, move and sit wherever you would like. When I said I needed to speak to a manager, he told me to go up to the front and ask - no "let me get him for you" kind of response. Seriously?! He was an absolute jerk. I had to get up, move and on top of that go hunt down the manager MYSELF. Wow. OK, so the manager was nice and gave us a new waiter, the food came out, we ate it and then they had the nerve to put a bill down in front of us despite the awful, awful experience. I asked for the manager again and they took care of our $15 meal. Seriously? I know this is likely the only 24 hour spot open but do yourself a favor and make your own late night grilled cheese at home to take care of your fix!!! Oh and not one but two random guys came and tried to sit with us. Um, again I get this is a late night thing but how rude to have people try and just crash your meal and not leave. Horrible clientele.

The breakfast was better than average, and the sausage links were awesome. I would have rated it four stars but the price was a little much for what I got. Staff was very friendly. When I checked into this restaurant, I was presented with a Yelp coupon for a free dessert with entree. withThe apple pie was delicious.

Perfect place to take the family for a late dinner at 10pm. Lots of neon outside makes it look appealing. Bright and clean inside, generous portions, lots of desert options, attentive service. My daughter loved her grilled cheese. My meatloaf was good, mashed potatoes good but a little runny, came with a ton of vegetables cooked just right. Hubby said lasagna was 'different' but practically licked the plate. Definitely a good late night option, although a little pricier than I'd expect from a diner. Most dinner entrees seemed to be $15+. With two glasses of wine our dinner for 3 was $71.

I wasn't expecting my food to be this good when I went. The chicken Alfredo was very delicious. it was a huge plate for 15.99 & the garlic toast was sooooo good. Very busy but our waiter was nice. You will expect to see all types of people at this dinner so have an open mind. Will I go again yes I will

Went here for lunch on Sunday. Big many with plenty of choices, and they even let me sub an item to get what I wanted. Food was pretty good, what you expect for a diner. Service was pleasant and attentive. Nice atmosphere. I would come back.

I had driven past Landmark Diner a handful of times, but I'm not a huge fan of diners and never thought I'd ever check this place out. However, one of my co-workers had eaten here several times and said he liked their food, so a group of four of us went for lunch around 1:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. We were seated at a booth table soon after we arrived. With maybe two or three other tables occupied, the restaurant was pretty dead. For what seems like an "American" diner, I thought it was a little strange to see that they offered Greek food in their menu. However, I was thankful for the lunch menu. Although the lunch items are not "cheap," they're reasonable considering how much their regular entrees cost. I didn't order a beverage, but my co-workers got tea and sodas, which are served in GIGANTIC Coke glasses. After having a tough time deciding between the lunch steak (I was craving red meat!) and Santa Fe Chicken Wrap, I ordered the less expensive option. Our server told us that she would bring us some bread to enjoy while we waited for our meals. The complimentary white bread was served and nice and warm. Although the large slices of bread weren't anything special, I always appreciate it when restaurants provide complimentary bread. At the very least, it gives you something to do while you wait for the food. Soon after our server brought our bread, she served us our meals. * Santa Fe Chicken Wrap w/Fries ($8.99) - This normally comes with honey mustard, but I asked for ranch instead. I was happy to see that although I didn't ask for it, the server provided a side of ranch sauce with the chicken wrap and crinkle cut fries. The wrap itself was pretty plain: chicken tenders, lettuce, tomatoes, and a bit of ranch sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla and cut in half. It definitely helped to have the extra ranch sauce for my fries. Although it didn't keep me from eating them, I noticed that the fries were SUPER greasy. They were almost translucent from how oily they were. I know, it's gross that I still ate them, but I did. Our server kindly provided separate checks per our request. When we were done eating and ready to pay, our server told us to pay at the counter. However, as I was walking over to pay, I noticed that they had charged me the "regular" price for the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap ($10.95)! However, the woman who processed our payments verified the correct price from the lunch menu and re-calculated my total with a calculator. Then, she crossed out the incorrect price on the original check and wrote in the new price. I thought it was kind of strange that they didn't make the correction in their system, but whatever. Not my problem. Overall, Landmark Diner in Buckhead gets 2.5 stars for their "meh," overpriced (yes, even lunch!) diner food. I would have given just 1 star if it hadn't been for the kind and attentive service provided by our friendly server. The restroom was fairly clean, too. It was an interesting experience to dine here, but I don't plan on ever returning. [Review 193 of 366]

Nuts and bolts: It was late night but I really wanted pancakes. I was toying with the idea of going to IHOP but this place is closer to my boyfriend's place and I hadn't been for a while. Order: Me- pancakes with bacon and eggs and oreo cake. Boyfriend- lox and omelet. Pros: They have alcohol. My boyfriend's biggest complaint about diners is that they don't have alcohol. So he was very excited when saw alcohol on the menu. Big menu and breakfast served all day. Reasonable prices for the food. Large portion sizes. Boyfriend loved everything about his meal. Good service. Cons: I did not enjoy my pancakes at all! N Cake sucked. And it was pricey. I ended up not finishing either. Neutral: My breakfast sides were fine. Take home message: I wish I had to IHOP. 3 stars vs. 2 stars for how happy my boyfriend was with everything.

So, the baklava is the bomb. It's quite expensive just for baklava, though. The food is generally pretty gross. Generic, overpriced, not good tasting, etc. I hate how the place looks and the service blows, too. I've yet to meet a friendly server there and there seems to always be a different creepy person loafing around, maybe because it's 24 hours? I will never eat anything but the baklava here.

Awful. The service is absolutely terrible. They kept seating everyone in one servers section and he could not catch up, even when they sent New servers in, it still took 30 minutes to get someone to take our order. I will not be revisiting this establishment again.

A word of warning to any would-be diners. My boyfriend and I went to this place per recommendation of some friends and we're very disappointed. The waiter was very nice and the service was okay, but the food was just awful. My boyfriend ordered the Benedict Sinatra, which came with a minuscule piece of Steak and was DRENCHED in hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were mushy and cold and actually had a hair in it. We told a waiter (not our waiter) and all he said was "Oh." and took the plate away. I ordered the Spanakopita which was just overall bad and we only ate a few bites. Our waiter was very nice about everything and apologized profusely and actually ended up comping our meal, but we were generally unhappy with our visit. Overall, a very "bleh" experience. Great coffee though.

Came here for a business meeting the other day. Parking is great for Buckhead. The coffee was yucky(think it was a bit old) my 2nd cup was a bit better. My food was great. I got two eggs over mediums with hashbrowns, rye toast and cornbeef hash. It was really yummy. I'd come back again.

I stopped by the Landmark Diner this last weekend after a bit of partying in Buckhead. A diner that's open 24/7 sounds delicious in the wee hours of the morning, but this one turned out to be anything but. I ordered one of the omelettes, thinking breakfast food was a safe bet. Unfortunately, the omelette and the potatoes that came with it were completely lacking in flavor. They tasted kind of like cardboard. I'm not the type to recommend Waffle House, but it would have tasted better than a Landmark breakfast. It's too bad the Buckhead Diner closes at midnight.

We'd just eaten dinner in Buckhead and we had a hard time thinking of a good nearby dessert place -- all the nearby cupcake, cake, and pie shops close at 5 or 6 ... and well, we somehow ended up at Landmark Diner. Our eyes were too big and we picked 4 desserts from the glass display case for our party of 5. The desserts were huge, unfortunately disappointing, and pricey for being so mediocre. German Chocolate Cake ($6.99), Strawberry Shortcake ($6.99), Banana Cream PIe ($5.99), and Apple Pie ($5.50). We would've been better off buying one of those nice cakes from Cafe Mozart :) Or even a Publix cake. Well, at least our server was really nice. Yep, I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.

This is a very overpriced mediocre diner. Typical diner breakfast food, alas only butter substitutes and Kraft IP jam substitutes (2% strawberries), etc. Probably would not have bothered with the review had it not been for our experience when we paid at the front door. We were asked how the meal was, told her not very good, mentioned that i was disappointed that they don't serve butter. Response: "Everyone bitches about that, but they don't make their money on food, they make it on liquor." Huh? Then we were asked how it compared to Waffle House. Did not respond, but the casher/hostess followed up with "I really love IHOP." Huh? Bottom line, just a bad experience, and definitely not one that warrants another visit.

It's a decent place for late night munchies. They have a wide range of menu items, from breakfast food to Greek food. Never been to a diner that sells alcohol, I couldn't help but order a martini. Overall, it is an ok place for late night food but I would just give it a 2 star.

Good and bad about this place. Here is the thing about landmark. It needs a major renovation in the inside. They have a ton of pastries always uncovered and it worries me about how sanitary this place is. They food needs a face lift as well. Is a very plain. ON A GOOD NOTE: it's a diner, it's open 24hrs... And the food is great when your Hung over. I have been to this place a few times and I like it. They just really need to upgrade the inside and put the freaking pastries away. Or stop making them.

I really liked Susannah's review but the two nights I came in for dinner I had. The BEST server. Attentive but not overwhelming. I'm here for business and don't want to drive all over looking for food and I don't like to eat processed food. These meals are homemade. The sweet potato fries last night were great. Today's eggplant parm was wonderful!! Wish I had a bigger stomach!

I freaking love this place. I've visited Atlanta several times and have tried several diners and always end up thinking they're not as good as this one. It was a total fluke that I even tried this place. My first time there, I asked my cabbie to take me somewhere for food after a concert, and he took me here. So glad he did as it's now a must-do anytime I'm in town. It's a bit pricy, yes, but at least in my case it's a bit easier to deal with since I'm on vacation when I'm there and it's not like I can go every day. But living there, I can see how it could be tough to pay these prices. But it's worth it. Plus, one thing thing to remember is the prices may be a little steep but the servings are huge, so I think you get your money's worth. You better be absolutely starving when you go because you will be stuffed when you leave. The food is awesome. They have a ton of variety (as all diners do). You've got any breakfast item you could possibly want, lots of sandwich options, Greek, Italian, seafood, even steaks. I've yet to try everything that looks good, but I love their pastichio, cheesesteak, gyro, fried grouper, scallops (which are huge, not the tiny gross ones), disco fries, and the french onion soup. It's all great. There's also lots of desserts in the classic diner display case right by the front door but honestly? I'm always way too stuffed to try anything. I did try the strawberry shortcake once and loved it, though. Also, the service is always great. Everyone always seems happy to see you and is friendly and attentive. While the food is great, the service really helps push it up to a must-do because as good as the food can be somewhere, I won't be a return customer if I get crap service somewhere. Oh, and the decor. It's so deliciously 80s art deco. It looks like a typical diner on the outside, but I'm not sure what the inside looks like. I guess how a diner in Miami circa-1985 would look like. But it's cute and makes it different.

The employees are super nice, especially considering all of the crap they probably have to put up with after the bars close. I came here with a small entourage (including two members of Danity Kane) after a long night of clubbing on Thanksgiving Eve. I promise, we were well behaved and relatively quiet, even with all of the fans that kept coming up to the table. This is not a normal diner and that's okay. I ordered the lamb shank (yes, at 3:00 AM I was ordering lamb). There was a lot leftover and let's just say I didn't need a bag. I'm not sure if it was the plating or just that gross looking. Whatever the reason, I just couldn't eat it all. At some point I went to the bathroom and if you eat here I wouldn't recommend it. For starters, the stalls are used more than the urinals because there aren't any partitions set-up. I'm not pee shy, but might have reconsidered my decision since the urinals didn't flush and were full of nasty, smelly, orange piss. When I turned around to wash my hands I found a bottle of pink dish soap sitting between the two sinks. Yes, dish soap to wash your hands. On August 29, 2012 I received an email that Yelp HQ removed the photo I took of the soap on the counter because it "was not representative of the business." It was absolutely representative, but I guess not the image they wanted you to see. Hmm... A Coke and lamb shank were less than $15.00. Yes, expensive for a diner and even more expensive when you think about having to use those nasty bathrooms.

This restaurant was formerly a great dessert place but is now definitely falling apart and rather seedy. The Key Lime pie I ordered was not very good and was probably not fresh. Not much flavor and the crust was soggy and tasteless. My wife ordered the Blackberry pie which was also rather tasteless and possibly stale. The service was good but the place was almost empty and I think they are living under their former reputation. The ceiling looks like they have several I un-repaired leaks, the curtains were dirty and the carpet has not been cleaned. The only reason we stayed there is that it was late and we just wanted a bite on the way home. We should have left and I will never go back!

It was regular, average diner food (my reuben was pretty greasy) until dessert. We had a rough day so we decided to go big and get some Oreo cheesecake. I've never had anything like it. It tasted exactly like play-doh. It was so bad I can't imagine it was actually meant to taste that way. We told the waiter it was kind of terrible and he offered us the carrot cake instead. It was ok but kind of bland and dry.

This is my second time going to landmark diner I honestly feel that the food is way overpriced for the quality of food that you receive. In my first experience the waiter was horrible but this time the waiter was much better as he did actually refill our drinks. Unfortunately I do not have much good things to say about this restaurant I had the fried chicken which was dry and mashed potatoes which were cold and my biggest complaint was there were ants on the side of my table which made me not eat my vegetable because I felt like they probably had crawled on my plate since they were all over my cell phone. I think this restaurant gets most of his business just because of the area that it is located and not The quality of food. My initial thought for the night was to go to IHOP and I wish I would've listen to my inner thoughts. I'm sorry but I just don't see why this place so popular this is my last visit I do not feel its worth my money.
