I'm going to get fat. we ate there 3 times last week. seriously. the food is delicious. I'm not Jamaican but my husband is and he LOVES IT. The brown chicken with rice and peas is savory and feeling. The jerk is just right and the beef patties--- WOOOOOO. Tried the plaintans at Phillup's suggestion last week and of course they were delicious as well. this is such a hidden gem that I almost missed it. if your in the mood for a great Jamaican spot this is the place.

This is a preliminary review based on some jerk that I managed to sample. Chef Bless had Yush Café on Pleasantdale Rd and is known for his Ox Tails, West Caribbean flavors and South African treats. I was walking out of the nearby Sherwin Williams store and detected a delicious odor on the wind - this was a barrel smoker attended by Bless filled with Jerk Chicken. I started a conversation with him and he took me inside so I could look around. The business is just barely opened with a limited menu (at least the paper menu I was given) and a full bar. The Junxion is located in the Embry Hills Shopping Center anchored by Big Lots - it was formerly some country cooking place and previously a couple of Indian buffets - I think Bless will take it to the next level. Based on the number of customers who sat and ordered while I was there, Bless should do quite well. He offered up some jerk to me to sample - it was simply delicious - the sweet pepper sauce really made it a terrific combination of flavors - very savory and satisfying. I enjoyed talking to Bless (who didn't know me from Adam yet was very gracious and accommodating) - Bless loves his food and seems to get off on the good thoughts and well wishes he instills into his cooking. I'm getting together a group from work to sample more (hopefully next week) as we do a weekly catering thing at work and are always looking for tasty treats. I'm also thinking of organizing a UYE - anyone interested?

My coworkers and I went to this place for a farewell lunch because another coworker suggested so. We have maybe 13-15 people in our party and after we finish ordering we have to wait for our water although there was only one other table with 2 customers. Then 45 min later only 5-6 people got what they ordered and our server came back saying they ran out of certain rice so either wait for another 45 min or change the rice order. In the end some of us left first because we have work to do and the rest who waited for the food brought it back to eat at the office. Service was too slow. A lady, the manager maybe, said that it wasn't usually like that. I still think they're food was good. Enough spices and huge portion. But to wait for your lunch for more than an hour is a bit much even when it's delicious.

I would have liked to try this restaurant; however, on Friday lunch time there were chains on the doors. The restaurant appears to have closed down - no note was left taped inside the window to let customers know the status.

We went here on a whim. I love Caribbean food and lament that there is no good restaurant close. This place did not disappoint. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. Paper table cloths so not too fancy. There is nice reggae playing in the background. The service was great. The servers were friendly and really seem to care. The chef even came out and greeted us. The menu is short. I had jerk chicken which was tender and perfectly smoked. The sauce was sweet, but good. Presentation was surprising and a step beyond most restaurants in this genre. My wife really liked the cabbage. Definitely going back. This place is worth a try.

OMG! This restaurant has got to be one of ATL's best kept secrets! I am a native of ATL and I had never even heard of this place until today! I found out about Junxtion through my Grubhub app. I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat tonight for dinner but I knew I didn't want pizza or Chinese and I was looking for a place that delivers, so I logged in to my Grubhub app and it pulled up a few restaurants near me, and I saw Junxtion. Food: I am a huge fan of Caribbean food, so one could say I'm hard to please, or a tough critic, but this food was by far the best caribbean food I have yet to taste in ATL. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Dinner, and the Curry Chicken Dinner with two sides of plantains. The chicken fell of the bone...for real! it was so tender and moist and seasoned to perfection! The plantains were not too soft and not too firm it was like a perfect meal! Cost: So in order for them to deliver your minimum total must be $25.00 which is not un reasonable for the amount of food you'd be getting...if you're ordering for two people like I did. My total ended up being $28.00 once they included tax. Delivery: The delivery time was slow, now I do have to disclose that my address comes up in two different areas of ATL, so that caused a problem, but the delivery girl was adamant about calling and getting the appropriate address so that she could do her best to get here in a timely manner in rush hour traffic. My only suggestion would be that maybe they should put GPS in the delivery vehicles. Overall: Great experience! Amazing food! I will be ordering again probably very soon!

Wow! In the first place, the scents of the food that greet you as you pass by the smoker at the entrance are enticing. Then they serve you curry chicken and Ox tail that is pretty amazing and the cabbage side is a must! Chef Bless knows his way around a smoker.

So I decided to try this place out for the first time yesterday....I looked at the reviews and thought to myself "hey, why not try out the jerk chicken??!!" So I did.........Not that great, maybe I went on an off day. The plantains weren't sweet. I ,overall ,was very disappointed. I didn't want to give them 1 star since they are still new. I have tasted way better... The rice and peas wasn't the authentic brown color...it looked like they boiled white rice and added kidney beans. No flavor whatsoever. I won't be coming back.

Bathing in post-lunch nirvana! This was my first visit to Junxion. Friendly staff, open seating. The day is cold and the restaurant was rather chilly as well (-1). I had read of their jerk and, once I saw the menu, wanted to maximize the experience so I order a three-meat combo - Jerk, Curry, and Brown Stew Chicken with rice & peas and veggies (cabbage/carrots). EXCELLENT! Junxion may very well be the overall best of all of the restaurants in the area (includes American (cafeteria/diner/fast food/sports bar), Cuban, Chinese, Indian, and Mediterranean). The jerk is a well-seasoned offering with or without the sauce, flavorful but not hot. The curry and stew chicken followed in the same profile with none overshadowed by the seasoning. The rice & pease were pleasantly more moist than what is typical and the accompanying cabbage/carrot medley was perfect. The menu is under expansion and will grow in its offering to include African dishes. Expanded offerings at lunch will provide a welcome diversion from the redundant options existing in the area. Mind you, all are sufficient with better options elsewhere, but Junxion will occupy a space of its own with its well-prepared dishes. Look forward to the next visit!

Four stars for now, but I definitely plan to go back soon to check out the nightlife/events and update my review. The aroma of the smoker outside was an amazing scent, making my mouth water from the parking lot. Once inside, my husband and I were surprised to be the only ones in the restaurant (Where were you guys? Check this place out!) , but it was a quiet Tuesday and we saw MANY people come and go for pick-up orders throughout our visit. This is a brand new, pretty up-and-coming restaurant/event venue that has some real potential to be an awesome little hookah/dance/party spot in an unexpected location. The servers were all very friendly, and Chef Bless came out to meet us and check on how our food was. Which gets me to the food, which was ballin' outrageous. I could eat a whole plate of just the rice that was served as my side, which was drizzled in some of the jerk seasoning and was nothing short of addicting. I had the tilapia as my main course, and it was perfectly cooked, fresh, and seasoned. My husband had the jerk chicken and was also very impressed. We will definitely be back for some karaoke or some fun hookah times with friends in the near future!

Excellent jerk. Not too spicey with a great sauce. The goat is very good for a meat that is hard to do right. The plantains are the best in town.

Food not consistent! I came here 3 times to give them a fair chance since they were new. The first time I came the portions and the freshness was all there. The second time they gave me half the food from the first time while the price was the same. Now this third time I got straight robbed! No white meat ! Just a bad cut thigh! And a small leg ! And you can actually hear them heating the food in the microwave from the dining area ! Won't be back ! No more chances! I tried to support local small business. No customer service either ! She bought the food and NEVER CAME BACK !

Great food, great service, white tablecloths, great wine, big screens to watch sports or Scandal night. the staff is very competent and kind. The chef came out to see if all was okay and to introduce himself. Easy to find, lots of parking. I will return.
