Very happy to have found this churrascaria to satiate my beef cravings. Good salad bar. Awesome meats!! Excellent service!

Maybe I've been applied by the fogo de chao's etc. Was in town for business and stumbled on the small Brazilian steakhouse, I thought I would give it a whirl. Atmosphere is quaint, fun and clean, with bright colors everywhere and the music is the right volume where it fades in the background so as to not hamper conversation. Service is very friendly and polite. My waiter had from what I could tell, a genuine happy to be here vibe. The food is where everything comes crashing down. Salad bar is alright and may be the highlight of the evening. The meats however were overcooked and sometimes saved cold. This made it very though to eat. Cuts like the New York were rubbery. If you must come stick to the house special, the spicy chicken and the sausage. MM

First off I want to start this with saying I am not a picky eater. This place probably had the worst Food and Customer Service I have ever experienced in my life. I have been to many restaurants across the nation and experienced world class service and not so great service and this place took the cake. Also, I am very familiar with different Brazilian Steakhouses and the wide range of flavors they offer. Let me set the stage, Its 5:30 pm on a Sat and me and a buddy want some Brazilian steak. We wander into this quaint little place called "Fire of Brazil" right in the heart of Downtown Atlanta. We noticed the restaurant was completely empty besides us and the servers (Flag 1). We ask the server if they are open and she says yes and immediately asks if we know the price. We both said yes and she asked AGAIN if we were ok with the price ($41). Mind you, this is rather cheap for a Brazilian steak joint. We again say yes and are led to our table. Being this is all you can eat, we grab a plate and head to the salad bar. After wrestling with some flies (Flag 2) I was able to finally get a couple veggies from the miniscule selection. We return to the table where we begin to eat. We both finish our salads and have our green indicator cards ready and then NOTHING. We waited for about 12 minutes before the first server came around with the selection of meats. Now to the disgusting part. They brought out the side dishes which were bread, fired bannannas, and PINTO beans. What Brazilian steak house serves PINTO beans? The proper bean of Brazil would be the black bean. The meat was dry, taisteless and not edible. Also, what Brazilian steak house serves TURKEY???(Flag 3) We both tried 1 piece of meat and were so disgusted that we literally had to stop. I still had my indicator card on green and one of the meat servers approached asking if I would like another serving, I told him we were done and would like the check. He gave me a dirty looked, grunted, said something in spanish, pointed and grabbed my card and flipped it over and stormed off without ever acknowledging my request. We had to ask 3 additional people for the check prior to it coming. We paid and started to exit the building when we noticed all the servers sitting in the front window playing on their phones and never said good bye. I expected less then par service because of the price, but this was unbelievable. I highly recommend you spend the additon $10-$15 and go to one of their competitors (Fogo) if you are looking for a great meal. Bottom line, it took me longer to write this review then I actually spent at this restaurant. DO NOT WAISTE YOUR TIME!!!

The salad bar was pretty good but the meat was mediocre. It was lacking flavor. The creme brûlée tasted like flan. If you are looking for a good salad bar this is your place.

Initially, I was quite nervous when the people I was meeting over lunch requested this place, because I saw all of the terrible reviews. After the experience, there are a couple of things that I would mention, but overall a great deal for lunch at 17.99. The food was great and a deal at this price. I will say, if I would have eaten there for dinner and the price was $41 I would feel very ripped off and would be tempted to leave a bad review. It is an excellent $20 and under meal, but a definitely not a $40 meal. I was pleased with the service, especially after the other reviews.

I dined here for lunch last weekend with a small group of friends, I'd never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before and from what I heard it seemed promising; though overall I was a bit disappointed by the experience. One of the main reasons we decided on Fire of Brazil was to take advantage of their special for Downtown Restaurant Week: AYCE steak and salad bar, your choice of non-alcoholic beverage, and dessert (flan or creme brulee) for $25 - not a bad deal, considering the regular price is $50. Thank goodness we didn't pay the $50, it definitely isn't worth it... The salad bar, while comprehensive is very standard. For an upscale (ish) restaurant , I was hoping it would at the very least not be so comparable to my former campus' cafeteria. The meat was hit or miss; some cuts were better seasoned and better cooked than others, and some were overcooked and slightly burnt. The quality of some pieces was debatable. The dessert was the highlight of our meal, I had the flan which was quite tasty; I was able to try the creme brulee as well, and they nailed the burnt caramel layer! The service was mediocre, our server was nice enough but he seemed confused about certain aspects of our meal and was slow. the meat servers were attentive (diners are given cards to reflect to the meat servers when we were ready for more meat: red: no; green:yes), but fairly passive. My expectations were much higher for this place, but given the price and the availability of dining options in downtown, I'd pass on Fire of Brazil next time...

I love Brazilian steakhouses. Fogo de Chau and Texas de Brazil are both outstanding. Unfortunately, the latter is not available in the Atlanta area, and Fogo is expensive and tough to get in on a weekend. Fire of Brazil is just like another review said. It is the Applebee's of Brazilian steakhouses. The meat is pretty good, not epic, but good. The salad bar, though, is a little anemic and from what I saw, not terribly fresh. Overall, the whole experience from the decor down to the food was just kind of cheap. It's the service that really hurts this place. Buffet, hibachi, and Brazilian steakhouses seem to have lackadaisical service usually, and I always set realistic expectations to that effect. Fire of Brazil's service was very slow. Drinks took forever, and the meat came out way too slowly. One should never sit at a table with an empty plate at a Brazilian steakhouse. To say I was disappointed would be accurate. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but definitely not up to my expectations. My advice based on my experience here would be to call way ahead of time and make a reservation at Fogo de Chau. It may be a little more expensive, but totally worth it.

Extremely slow service. High price, better cuts of meat only came around once and they were very reluctant to provide more than a piece or two. The sides came at the end of the meal and it was more than 10 minutes until we were greeted at our table by the server. The fact that they were not busy when everyone else had a wait should've told us something.

I took my wife to celebrate our eighth anniversary, let me tell you I'm very disappointed about this place meat was dry and overcooked the service was horrible The waitress rarely checked on us, everyone server and gaucho seemed to be loitering around the bar and walking back-and-forth between the dinning area and the bar it was just a bad experience

Company makes for great dining experiences, and had I not been in good company, I think I would have given Fire of Brazil a one-star rating. SERVICE- uninterested, undependable and "snail without his morning coffee" slow! We had been seated for a good ten minutes before anybody came to our table, and when the server did finally arrive, he seemed bewildered and 100% "out of it." I mentioned that we were there for the Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week $25 lunch special and he looked at me like I was crazy (Restaurant week had been going on for six days already... it's not like it was day one) then walked away without another word. Five minutes later, he returned and, confirming he understood the restaurant week deal, asked us for our drink orders. Another ten minutes passed before three of us received our iced tea, and the other two drinks were forgotten altogether until we stopped him well into our first course to ask whether they were coming out at all. After that, we hardly saw the man. The meat servers (the gentlemen who come out of the back with the skewers) were fine- paying attention to our "yes, please" cards and polite enough. FOOD- the salad bar was mediocre (at best)- nothing was impressive or worth going back for. The meat was pretty decent- some cuts were better than others. I enjoyed the bacon-wrapped flank steak, the sausage, and their house specialty flank, but the other options were all just okay. The dessert (crème Brule and flan) was fine- prepared well. Good, but again... not outstanding. FINAL IMPRESSION- I expected something better from a "Restaurant Week" restaurant. For the $25 deal, I certainly ate my fill and cannot complain too much, but I would never happily spend the $50ish (usual dinner price per person) to eat here again. The food and the service simply are not worth it.

Compared to samba restaurant it's ok loved their beef ribs the most. The salad bar is ok as well if u just want to try it out better to try it during lunch. Cheaper

We visited this restaurant during 2015 Atlanta Restaurant week. We went for lunch and paid $25.00 per person. The price was outrageous considering the poor quality of food we were served. The salad bar was inferior quality. What was labeled as "garlic bread" was cold sliced rye bread. Disappointing. The vegetables that were served at our table consisted of 1-fried banana and a few plantain chips. They didn't serve tenderloin. Instead the served "house special" meat which was shoulder meat. They pork ribs still had the pig skin attached. The ladies room was filthy. The Health Department should pay this restaurant a visit.

  • Lindsay G.

I am a bit disappointed! For the price this food is very mediocre. The buffet is all cold and only 2 hot. The meats were OK seasoned lightly... the waitress was sooo not attentive at all.. came by all of 3 times and expected the same type of tip I would have given to someone that actually did their job.. should have gone to Fogo de Chao.

Can I give ZERO stars? This place is like a Applebee's version of a real Brazilian Steakhouse. I've seen better salad bars at Wendy's. The mussels were shriveled. They served us ROTTEN tenderloin!!! Good service, but food is just plain HORRIBLE! Skip this place!

Went here for lunch. If your new to Brazilian type restaurants, they are typically prix fix - you pay for the full deal, or just the salad bar. The salad bars are usually quite awesome, and the meat is brought to you via men/women in gaucho dress. Ive been to quite a few of these restaurants throughout the country. The salad bar is "ok". I mean, there are many items - soup, salad, other nice dishes. But I say ok because I didn't find a very many items that were unique to only this (Brazilian type) restaurant. Everything looked fresh. The meat was tasty as expected. My favorites were the top sirloin and the pecana. The rest was also excellent and of an excellent selection. In summary, for lunch, the meat was excellent and in my opinon, the salad bar was very good (but I've seen better for Brazilian). Update: I'll need to deduct a star for service, or lack of. It could have been better - plate not provided prior to meat delivery, wait for check, - not to major, but annoying.

Gave them one star because the front door worked. Absolutely the WORST experience EVER! First time I left an all you can eat steak house hungry. Went to the Hard Rock across the street to finish dinner. I would avoid this one even though it looks nice from the outside.

I just wanted to add another review to encourage people NOT to dine here. All the previous yelp reviews are correct. I had read them but thought that being downtown and during lunch (less expensive) is wouldn't be that horrible--well it was!! I have been to many other Brazilian steakhouses before and this is by far the WORST. We were the first customers there and during our short time there only one other 6 person group was there. Once seated we never saw a server. Since we knew the drill we started at the salad bar. It wasn't spectacular, but everything looked fresh. The first meat did not come until 15-20 minutes after we sat down. Then our favorite meat came out-picanha & the server (not a gaucho) brought it and proceeded to cut from the rounded end (not the flat sides) which left my husband with two large pieces of FAT and one bite of edible meat. We were so shocked we couldn't verbalize to him the correct way. Then when he came back with the same meat we did explain to the server how to cut it and he chopped off a 1 inch piece!?! Again it should have been a thin slice. At this point we had had enough. We spoke with the manager and showed him the large pieces of fat initially cut. We offered to pay for what we had eaten on the salad bar (which wasn't much because we were their for the picanha). He room care of us and seemed empathetic and understanding about our complaints. So thank you to him, but never again, I will trust my fellow yelpers!

A meat lovers delight! Great cuts of various types of meat brought to your table to try at your leisure. Buffet style including salad bar and sides. The fried bananas and pineapple are a sweet accompaniment. Parking is easy and within a block of the restaurant. A great place for a nice dinner out. You won't go away hungry.

Good not the best. Service awful. Price includes 9 meats but we could not get server over to our table more than a few times. After trying three meats our waitress asked if we were ready to go. We explained we hadn't been served the meat and were told it was busy. There were many empty tables and some other tables were served several times while we were waiting. Not the best.

Too cheap to have been any kind of decent Brazilian Steakhouse. The establishment itself is really small & pretty empty. Upon our arrival we stood at the hostess station for 10 mins waiting for a table in an empty restaurant. The hostess told us she needed to clean off a table for us but we weren't understanding why because more than half the tables were empty. Salad bar would have been good if the cold dishes were actually cold & the hot dishes actually hot. Not to mention half of the salad bar was empty because no one refilled it & whatever was available looked hours old. Normally in these types of steakhouses fresh rice, black beans, & fried plantain is put on your table.....well half way through eating our dinner is when they decided to bring this out to us & we had asked about it but just never got it until way later. By the way it wasn't black beans it was pinto beans that they gave us. If you are a Brazilian restaurant why are you serving pinto beans, just wrong. When The meat was way to salty. Brazilian steak is known for being so flavorful but this meat was way way way too salty & had no other flavors. By the way there was no chimichurri sauce no where in this place at all!!! What kind of Brazilian steakhouse doesn't have chimichurri? Oh lets not forget the aweful service all the way from the hostess, to the servers, to the manager. Servers could care less about you once your seated & the manager was so unprofessional looking. Your in what should have been a sonewhat business casual restaurant but you're wearing jeans, sneakers, & a untucked polo shirt. I guess 40 bucks a person in a Brazilian Steakhouse you get what you oay for.

Service was not great. The meat came really fast at first, almost too quick, but then just stopped for a while. And we had to ask to have the lamb brought out. They almost rush you through to try to turn tables. The salad bar was just okay. Drinks didn't come until we were half way done eating. The meats were excellent however, as expected. There wasn't much ambience, would have expected them to lower the lights a little. Just felt like we were at a diner. I wouldn't go back here.

I'm a little stunned by all the bad reviews about this place and I myself am a picky eater. I was in Atlanta for Labor day weekend and I, along with a male college classmate, dined here Saturday August 30th. Davi was our waitress and she was above and beyond! The salad bar was pretty good and fresh and the meat selection was very tasty and well seasoned. I was pleased. I saw nothing at all wrong with the service from the employees, place was clean. It was $41.50 per person and personally, I feel it was worth it, my opinion. While everyone else is complaining about the price, 1. It's downtown. 2. It's a steakhouse where you're being serve different choices and cuts of meat so what the hell do you people really expect??? This is cheap in comparison to a couple of places here in Nashville with a similair setting as Fire of Brazil. Catbird Seat here in Nashville is $75 a person soooooo yea. The parking was not the best but oh well. I will probably come back again when I visit.

I love Brazilian restaurants and have been to plenty. This location and brand of Brazilian restaurant is the worse. The service was horrible. I believe they were understaffed as they had a waitress from the nearby Mexican restaurant cleaning tables. Our server did not come for 10-15 min and did not provide us with the complimentary side items (fired bananas, rice, beans, etc). The salad bar is underwhelming with few options. The servers were not pleasant, and did not have a good knowledge of their meat/temperature. One server was rude to me when I asked for a medium rare cut. "This is all I have". But not this is what I have right now...let me see if I can provide your request. Overall this was a terrible experience and I will not be going back. If you want to go to a Brazilian Steakhouse - go to FOGO DE CHAO!!!

    (1)
  • David B.

It is not the best Brazilian Steakhouse I've been to, but lets be honest, at the end of the day, can any Brazilian Steakhouse be bad? No! Its a little too pricy at lunch, and their full selection is not available at lunch, but it still hits the spot!

    (3)
  • Aaron C.

Most of the meat was under done. The sides were not that great and i thought there would be more selection. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

    (2)
  • Brodey P.

Why are the reviews so harsh? This place has some of the best food I've ever eaten! Most people say the service was bad, but I have been here 3-5 times and every time the service was amazing. The salad bar was ok, only thing they could improve on. All around good place besides that!

    (5)
  • Jason L.

Worst Brazilian Steakhouse ever... Suggestion: get in your car and go to Fogo De Cao. This place was pathetic. Service was nonexistent, meats were all over cooked. If you request meat that is more rare, it's too much trouble. Don't wast your mine here.

    (1)
  • VJ P.

This place is in a good location. But that's about it. Service at this place sucks. And more importantly cut of meats over hear is not up to par. If you need to go to go to Fogo de Chow and spend extra $30. It'll be well worth it. Number one in food and also the environment . Don't spend your hard earn dollar hear.

  • Jeremy M.

We had a group of 9 and after about 15 minutes we all started to realize how much we didn't like this place. We looked up the Yelp reviews after we were there and saw all the warnings from Yelpers. You are right and we should have looked first. Very slow service. The table of 20 next to us got 3 meat visits in a row and they ran out before coming to our table. After about 25 minutes of no meat we complained. The meat was not very good and the service was terrible. Why does this restaurant not look at their reviews and make some changes. I would never come here again and someone else was paying for my dinner.

    (1)
  • Ronda L.

Went here for v day dinner; won't ever go back... Meat was tough, salad bar was blah. Customer Service was terrible, and the food was worse. Price is the same as Fogo De Chao, but the quality was lacking.

Come hungry as the food is wonderful and is a constant stream of freshly cooked meat coming out of the kitchen. Highly recommended.

    (5)
  • David H.

I've gone back a couple of times this year, and the quality at lunch time has improved considerably. The meat is cooked properly and we'll seasoned. It's a pretty good choice for eating lunch in downtown now. When you account for the location this place is actually a great value.

    (3)
  • H G.

Where do I start of how bad it is.... I come here eat my salad and wait for 15min till I get my first meat. Mind you the restaurant is not full and it's a Tuesday for lunch... For every each new "order" of meat I gotta wait for ever 2nd the meat is not that good 3nd the don't know how to cut the meat right 4th the atmosphere is lame 5th salad bar is a joke very cheap You might say you get what you pay for not true, for the same price of 17$ I have been in many brazilian BBQ and they were fantastic!!!! If your in Atlanta do your self a favor and go to fogo!!!!!!!

I visited on my birthday years ago when they opened close to Perimeter Mall where Chuys is now and did not had a good dining experience. From food to service and I decided not to go again. Two weeks ago during Atlanta Restaurant Week I decided to go for Lunch on a Sunday at their downtown location. From a stressful parking experience and when I left they told me they run out of validation for the parking lot and to talk to someone that of course was not there on a Sunday Afternoon I ended paying for parking. The bar salad was un impressive and most of their meat offerings were not good besides the picanha. The flan was excellent and so so the creme brûlée . The service was terrible in spite of the gauchos trying to do their best. After waiting for a long time for the check I went to the front and asked for my check and the waitress offer excuses and that they were understaffed that day. I think they did not prepare for the amount of people that showed up. Where was the manager??? Poor Management and substandard food.

    (1)
  • Scott C.

Great food & great service. Lunchtime $17.95 for unlimited meats (that are all excellent) and salad bar in downtown Atlanta??? Wow! Try everything, but you'll want seconds of the chicken wrapped in bacon & the ham!

  • Sean F.

I was there last night for dinner, and the poor reviews don't seem to be justified in my opinion. It is not the best Brazilian steak house I've been to nor the best priced, but the meat was high quality, service was well paced, and the salad bar had many great choices. One might complain that meat came out slowly but I think it was paced so to enjoy each cut of meat and some salad in between. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's in the center of downtown Atlanta. What else would you expect? One complaint: the bar ran out of limes, which meant no Brazilian drinks.

  • Carmen S.

We were standing on the corner and thought Hooters or this place, we shoild have gone to Hooters, even with children. One out of five meats they offered was ok. They said there would be 16 different choices. It had a odd smell about the place, like mildew socks after a soccer game. The waitress was attentive but would join our conversation and then criticized our liking of rare meats. The price is ridiculous, especially for children aged 12-14, should also be half price like younger children. I will never eat here again.

If you've been to Fogo, you will be sorely disappointed. On second thought, even if you walk in without any expectations against which to compare, you'll still be dismayed at some of the meats. They're too bloody, or not salted enough, or the meat was far from tender (lots of connective tissue). Meat was not top quality. Even the grilled pineapple wasn't quite right.. it was too sweet (added cinnamon and sugar, i presume). Service was poor (we had to find the pitchers of water and pour for ourselves). The meat came very slowly, and towards the middle of the evening, the servers didn't check up on us, assuming that we had our fill. Salad bar is OK. Nowhere near the variety of other Churrascarias, but one item I found unique to this place were the steamed mussels. (else I would've given this join 1 star). If only my cell phone had reception as i had walked in with my convention group, i would have averted everyone from disaster!

Ok, so I was trying to take advantage of restaurant week, but u feel like restaurant week took advantage of me! This experience was severely lack luster. The salad/side bar only had 1 green veg (not counting salad), and the meats were definitely dry and low quality. I wouldn't recommend this location; especially considering the price.

So many Brazilian steak house to choose from and this one is now on the bottom of my list. There was so little meats, and it was Valentine's Day lunch, the salad bar had bell peppers on everything... I am allergic to them and it made my choices about 3... and that included the cheese. The meats that were left were over cooked and they didn't not come around with them the way I am used to seeing at other similar places. The nommy rolls are better at other places as well. Entirely underwhelming. #27/365 #27/100

Came here during a conference and saw it as we were walking by. Salad bar could definitely use some help. The meat choices were limited pretty much to the normal things you'd find anywhere though they were done pretty good and flavorful except the lamb. It wax tough and very muttony tasting.

One of the worst, least authentic Brazilian Steakhouses that I have been to. The only one that was worse was one the I went to that was owned by a Russian family! No feijoada, no Brazilian desserts, stale pao de queijo, meats were unseasoned, and many I'd the typical Brazilian salad items were missing. The best thing there was the roasted turkey... at a steakhouse.

  • Salika B.

I was disappointed..... I went there on restaurant week July 29, 2013 and the service was lacking personality and attentiveness...if I had to pay full price I would have shown out and been arrested that day.... We hardly saw any meat servers and when we did the meat was lacking proper temperature, seasonings, and tenderness. When you do Brazilian style eating the meat should be plentiful even if there are only 6-8 selections but if not it should still be good and edible and it was not. It was bleeding every time they cut it even if we asked for well done and when we did it took them 20 minutes to return and when they did it was black and chard. I read some reviews before going and decided to make my own opinion....if you've been to Fogo de Choa don't waste your money on Fire of Brazil because you will be disappointed too!

Horrible Customer Service!!! I was waiting at the passport office today and I decided to grab lunch. It was 2:15 when I got there and supposedly they were open for lunch. They told me that after 2:00 pm they do not seat people. Then they said we can seat you but all the meat is well done. Really. . I am a customer of the perimeter location but all of them have lost my business. I don't think they are there to serve customers. Dont worry I won't interrupt your work day again. You just go ahead and keep chatting.

DON'T DO IT: I know you are reading some of these reviews thinking "how bad can this place be?" I love brazilian steakhouses and thought the same thing but like many others I was thoroughly disappointed. I have to say the service was good - polite waitstaff and friendly servers but inexperienced (made me bob and weave with their knife handling) but food was preposterous bordering criminal. I left hungry because the meat was mostly inedible to my palate - stale overcooked, tough and poorly seasoned meats. I am really gratefully that I only paid the lunch price or I may have felt I was a victim of broad daylight robbery. My recommendations to management is - you have an excellent location, and waitstaff with a lot of potential but reconsider quality of meats and the cooks and this may prevent a free fall of you reputation which is bound to happen unless something is done soon.

Make sure your bring some money, 41 bucks a plate! Service was good, food ha it's up and downs. Some was dry, some could have been cooked a little more. Salad bar sucked didn't eve. Have croutons. What salad bar dose not have croutons, kinda strange. But overall I am happy I tried it but i doubt I will return. To many other places in atlanta to go back

I have been here three times and after last night, strike three you're out. Besides the non existent service (refill your water? good luck... another bottle of wine? ha! new plate after you're done with the salad part.... self service there) ... this is the only churrascaria I have ever been to where you have to wait time measured in minutes between slices of meat. It was like that when it was busy but it was the exact same experience when there was only two other tables filled at the restaurant. Most churrascaria's you are flipping your card over to red so you can catch up with everything that came your way. Not at Fire of Brazil. Get a slice. Eat it. Wait. Wait. Wait. Nibble on a fried banana. Wait. Ok, there's the next slice of meat. I like my steak rare, but the majority of the cuts here approached raw, not rare. The filet was served cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. I'm pretty sure this place survives on it's location and capturing the conference crowd downtown because if they need repeat customers, they won't be around much longer.

Not worth the money. Horrible service. Disgusting looking salad bar. I'm glad I don't live in the area. I'll never have to go back there. I gave them two stars because they did have a delicious cocktail with vodka and mint. KEEP LOOKING. do not eat here.

Brazilian friends say that it's very similar to the real brazilian flavor. Beef is great, there's a lot of variety in the salad bar and the price is way more affordable than fogo. Strongly recommended

I think this is more of a 3 1/2 star than a 3 star. So I've read the reviews and would like to add my two cents. The staff was very friendly and tried hard to accommodate me. I think the nature of Brazilian Steakhouses is that sometimes, a certain cut of meat doesn't quite make it to your table when you want it to. But for the most part, there were plenty of meats to chose from. Just don't get the flank steak. I nearly strained my jaw trying to chew that one. The salad bar could definitely use a lot work. Although it was fresh and tasty, it seemed lacking in variety. The location is convenient to MARTA and the decor is enjoyable. One of the criticisms I read was a lack of seasoning. I somewhat agree, some meat was seasoned better than others. In fact, sometimes the same cut of meat was more flavorful but don't let that keep you away from the place. It's worth at least one trip, especially if you are in the area.

The meat, a wide variety of it, was gamy and cold. Seemed like they served left overs from yesterday. The chicken and bacon wrapped meat was way too dry. It's a tourist hotspot, guaranteed that none of the locals visit this over priced steak house.

Dont get me wrong, the food is good...but as a Brazilian that I am, I didn´t see anything exceptional and it was very pricey as well.Let alone the manager who, despite being Brazilian like me, was sort of cocky for no apparent reason, and always talking to us in a "superior like" tom of voice.I wouldn't recommend and have never gotten back.

Don't waste your money. Meat left a nasty taste in my mouth. Sausages were horrible and chicken wrapped in bacon was dried out. Salad bar was blech... Not worth any money at all!! Eat at McDonalds instead!

You make look at the price in comparison to Fogo De Chao and be temped to try... Dont... Just spend the money! The best thing here is the Grilled Pineapple.

The service wasn't all that and they weren't even crowed, it seems like they were more focused on the large party of about 20 to 25 people. I'm surprised the hostess didn't help out since they didn't have a lot going on. The food wasn't too bad, they did have some awesome tasty potatoes and some really good beef stew. The meat was okay, some of it was to bloody and some of it was cooked just right. Guess I'll have try another Brazilian steakhouse until I find the right one. :-)

Dined on 8/2/13 GOLDEN CORRAL OF BRAZILIAN STEAKHOUSES (with full price still) I really cant do anything but give this one star. I decided to try out Fire of Brazil during restaurant week and have to say this was one of the worst restaurant week outings I have EVER had... Reception: When my party got there (a measly four people) for our reservation we still had to wait almost 15 min for our table. And while I know its hard to accommodate reservations at a place like this where people take their time, there were SO many open tables that were just sitting there. Service: Our waiter was hardly ever around. When he finally did decide to show up he took orders/requests that he never got around to doing. The meat servers were also very scarce and almost all the meat I got tasted terrible. It was way overcooked and mostly burned on the outside. There was little of no variety of taste between the meats. The salad bar (normally used to tempt you away from the meat) was also terribly bland and terrible presented. Bottom Line: If I payed full price I would have requested to talk to someone there about how terrible the experience was. Even for $35 this was way too much. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you are going to shell out for a Brazilian steakhouse. The point of restaurant week is to build up a new client base. Instead they seem to be gaining a very vocal group who aren't just not going back themselves but discouraging others from wasting their money as well...

I am a huge fan of Brazilian steakhouses. That said, I will not return to this one. The drinks were good, but the food left a lot to be desired. You get the meat done based on when they give it to you. No asking for medium rare if it is early on the journey for the skewer. Get a slice right before they bring the center back in to cook more and you better like rare. I was also surprised that after over an hour, some meats never came by. I had to ask twice to get service while the table next to me received more choices. Definitely not recommended. Go to the competitor nearby, they are little more expensive but well worth it.

Food Poisoning My wife and I ate at the Atlanta restaurant last Saturday. Whilst the service was good, and the food tasty, an hour after eating, my wife got stomach cramps, and 2 hours later she was violently unwell for 8 hours. I went into the restaurant the next day, and was met by a surprised waitress, and VERY unhelpful manager. After a 30 minute discussion, where all I stated was that I was upset, and a sensible thing to do would be to refund my wife's food bill (not drink; she only had one bottle of beer), the manager (who interestingly refused to give me his name!) threatened to call the police. This happened three times. I was neither threatening nor did I shout. He refused to see my point, rather staring that I "had to go to the hospital to get some papers". The crowning glory came when, as his staff were cowering in the background, he exclaimed "you've now ruined my Sunday! I came in here happy!!" I asked how on earth I could have ruined HIS day, when I'm convinced HIS restaurant gave MY wife food poisoning. I left after explaining that I'd be writing to his boss. I stopped in my tracks when he shouted after me "you won't be able to remember most of what I said, anyway". I just couldn't comment any more, and left, REALLY REALLY disappointed. I've lived in the USA for almost 2 years now, and never been treated like that, here, or in Europe. I followed up with many many emails and phone calls as none were being returned, to the only phone number I could find on the website. After 4 days, I received a reply. "Sorry your wife got sick, but we won't refund your money". This was from the Marketing office. Again, I'm simply bewildered. To be frank, I don't think asking for $41.50 to be returned for a very sick wife (she only got better on Wednesday) was asking too much. But clearly it was for Fire of Brazil, Atlanta. We won't be going back.

This place is well located, but the food is not real Brazilian. There are some important typical items missing in the buffet, and lots of that food are not Brazilian or the season is different. Also, the meat was overcooked and there was no salt in it. There were few options of meet. The price is very high for the poor quality. This is an American restaurant trying to be a Brazilian one. As a Brazilian, I'm disappointed.

Don't go there!!! I was just there this afternoon and ordered a Manhattan (drink). The waitress asked me what type of alcohol I preferred. To which I said, Canadian Club or Seagrams 7. She brought me the drink. When I received bill, I was charged for 2 drinks-- a CC and a Seagrams 7. When I inquired about it I was told that the bartender had mixed both drinks in my glass and since I had drunk it, I had to pay for both of them. When I complained indicating that I did not want both types mixed together, only one or another, she said she would take care of it. She came back a few minutes later and said that I would have to pay for them both since I drank the drink. I had to ask for a manager, who eventually took one of the drinks off the bill. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I generally don't write bad reviews, but I have no choice on this one. I'm in town for a convention. My coworker said hey this looks good let's stop in and try it out. Bad mistake.... 1) The meat is sodium through the roof. 2) You cannot understand a word the meat slicers say except for one guy. We had to repeatedly ask what is this meat 2 - 3 times each time they came by. The only guy who we did not have a problem with hearing him seemed annoyed with my coworker. He kept asking him what he wanted if he didn't want the meat he was holding. My coworker said he wasn't sure yet, as there is supposed to be 16 different meats, which we only saw 6 - 7. Eventually the meat slicer asked again what he wanted, and my coworker said just bring back the NY Strip then. When the slicer came back, he asked how is everything, and my coworker gave an honest opinion. The meat slicer seemed even more annoyed at now and never returned. Hey, you asked! 3) I ate a piece that was very gamey. I was told it was beef. If it was, that beef has been sitting out because it was so gross I had to spit it out inconspicuously. At that point, I was afraid what else to try as I didn't know what I would get. 4) My coworker had the rump roast and he said that piece was very gamey. I was about to eat it, but after he said that, I avoided it. I then went back to the salad bar to eat more cantaloupe because I had enough sodium and gamey meat for the day. 5) $40/each for a horrible meal. That is why this deserves one star. Paying that price for such a horrible dinner is ridiculous. 6) Our server wasn't bad, but he wasn't great either. He eventually refilled my drink, but never really checked on us how we were doing or if we were enjoying our meal. He still got a 15% tip to the penny, but I wouldn't give more since the bad meat isn't his fault. I highly suggest you eat elsewhere. There is a reason why this place is averaging 2.5 stars. I didn't check the reviews until we were halfway through dinner and not enjoying our meal. Then I said we shouldn't checked this before we walked in instead of winging it. Big mistake....

I read the reviews, should have listened. This place charges Fogo De Choa prices but provides Golden Coral service. Our waitress came by three times, the meat men came by only a few times to serve cold and undercooked meat. At one time we looked up to see the entire wait staff standing at the hostess stand. I was visiting but should I ever again, will not visit this establishment!

My husband and I went to the Fire of Brazil for Thanksgiving. The meats were very flavorful in comparison to Fogo De Chao. Personally we thought the meats at Fogo De Chao were too salty which caused the selections of meats to begin to taste the same. I must say the service was slow and the salad bar was limited and lacking at the Fire of Brazil, but we would still choose the Fire of Brazil for the meats and dine at Fogo De Chao for the salad bar only option which is quite extensive and delicious.

Horrible. Glasses didn't match on table. Wine was warm Salad bar scant and poor selection. No black beans, they served pintos. Meat overcooked had to ask twice for Gaucho menu figured they didn't want to give it because they were not serving all selections. Do not go here. We live close by so we wanted to give it a try. We goto Red and Green Brazillian Steakhouse on Buford Hwy usually but didn't want to drive. Not worth money. It's definitely a tourist trap.

There is quite a bit of potential here, but also too many problems to overlook. The meats themselves there were quite good, and the other options were varied and delicious. Yes, it was expensive, but Brazilian is by its very nature expensive. What really stood out to me about this place was the service - or lack thereof. I came in with a rather large party, and they sat us in a corner. That in and of itself wouldn't have been so bad, except that those away from the aisle (including me) were frequently ignored. I had my card green side up more often than not, but the meat carriers were slow to arrive. I eventually resorted to propping my card up against the wall in an effort to get their attention, but that did little to increase the flow of meat to my plate. Add in the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty (granted, the fact that a restaurant is almost empty on a Saturday night is not a good sign), and you get an idea of how shoddy the service was for my party and me. I did not leave this restaurant hungry, but I wanted more bang (i.e., more meat) for my dollar. The service needs improvement badly, but the restaurant does have the food to really be a quality restaurant. I would not go here of my own accord again, though if someone else was paying for my meal I would not mind.

If you are vegan, you should not even be reading about a Brazillian restaurant. Just move along. For meat lovers, this is one of the best Brazillian places I have ever been too. Of course the meats were succulent. But the salad bar was also great. Wonderful side veggies. The servers were very friendly. And be sure to top it off with their Brazillian version of a Long Island Iced tea.

This place is just not very good. I've been to several of these type of Brazilian steakhouses and this one is by far the worst I've experienced. It's sort of like what you'd get if Denny's tried to do Brazilian. I went with a colleague on a Monday night and the place was so empty we weren't sure at first if they were open. Probably should have taken that as a sign to eat somewhere else but we gave it a shot anyway unfortunately. The meat selection was about as expected but almost everything was tough or chewy or just kind of tasteless. The house special cut was probably the best thing offered but still far off from what I've had at other similar restaurants. Price wasn't cheap... $60 after tip, including glass of wine but service was pretty good though all things considered.

Convenient location and good Brazilian food. Big salad bar. The cocktails will kick your butt if you have more than two in a single sitting--you have been warned! Just take the elevator up to the street level from the Peachtree Center MARTA station and you are there. Try it, you will like it--but bring your appetite. This is all-you-can-eat, baby!

Terrible...just terrible food and service. Second trip for me with clients as I thought my first bad experience could have been an anomaly. Nope....this place really sucks. 1) Both times I've been here I noticed a strong raw sewage smell emanating from the foyer area. This should be your first warning that something is very, very wrong. 2) If I used the words 'utterly inattentive' to describe the tuxedoed flunkies who claim to be servers...it would be a compliment. We had to raise our hands and 'flag' a server for everything from clearing plates, utensils, refills etc.... 3) Salad bar is the only thing about this e-coli trap that I would consider 'C' grade. Think 'Suddenly Salad' with bits of leftover meat. Wilted field greens, stale croutons and 3 foodservice salad dressings. After waiting an embarrassingly long time with our cards on Green..we finally waived our arms like airport ground controlers and asked one of the Gouchos to please bring us meat!! Our mistake. Meat #1) I can only describe the ribs as...offensive. I've have West Indian road kill goat that tasted better that whatever this was. So tough that we had to pick them up with our hands and wrastle the sour meat off the bones. Good news is that they are so dry...you wont really make a mess in doing so. Meat #2-4) Sausage = Salt lick. Sirloin = Well done. Flank steak = Goucho splattered blood on my pants and shirt and ran away. Then things really started to go down hill... I handed the manager my card on the way out and asked him to call me (so as to not embarrass him or our clients publicly) and he never did. Later that day I called him to and expressed my dissatisfaction with my $100.00 lunch...he said I should have told him while I was there and he would talk to HIS manager and call me back immediately. Guess who never called me back...

Where else can you go get a meatatarian lunch for $18? Since Fogo de Chau doesn't do a weekend lunch, we thought we'd give it a try. Note that the Perimeter location closed down about a month ago. The meat variety was pretty good including pork sausage, garlic sirloin, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, round steak, bacon wrapped sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, turkey, pork ribs. My favorites by far were the bottom sirloin and round steak, which were the most tender and flavorful. The salad bar is worth a mention having soups, veggies, cheeses, and various salads. I didn't eat much from there to conserve "steak space". Service was great and the gauchos, servers carrying around the meats, were very prompt when we flipped our cards. Well worth the price. Will be back.

This is a very good brazilian style restaurant. Loads of tasty meat cuts. I'm not a huge red meat eater but they cut very small slivers for me so I could taste what I wanted. The side bar dishes are abundant and delicous! The waitress we had was so good to us and very attentive. DId I mention we walked in without reservations and with a large group. They were so kind to accommodate us on short notice and a busy night.

Before I start to comment. I would like to say that I'm a native of Brazil and I know what a good Churrasco is and what's not. This place is definitely not. I will make it simple. Don't waste your money by going here. The meat is horribly prepared and the buffet is very very mediocre. If you're in Atlanta and you want a good Brazilian bbq place, just go to Fogo De Chao. I was embarassed as a Brazilian to watch people being served that kind of food.

I have been to one other churrascaria, so my review of Fire of Brazil will be comparative. When we went to Fire of Brazil, it was early (7pm) on a Thursday. There were only two other tables filled. The salad bar items were very fresh looking and tasted great. They have an option to get the salad bar only for half the total price. This makes it a $20 salad bar, but you could make an impressive meal from it even containing some meat (seafood and beef stew). I was completely unimpressed with the meat selections. There are many to choose from, but they all seemed overcooked on the outside. Since there were few other diners, the only parts I was getting was the outside. The meat was tough and not as flavorful as I would like. I'm not sure if the quality was due to fewer diners or if this is the usual, but paying over $40 for meat kind of makes you expect a much better meal. We had a great time and tried a few desserts, which are big and nicely decorated. Other diners in my party liked the mixed drinks they ordered.

Service was hardly adequate. Server did the best they could do bussing tables, however, the meat servers require some serious culinary education in meat temperatures. Not once did I receive the temp I requested (MR), yet my co-worker next to me received MR while he requested M. The meat was bland and tasteless and the salad bar options were meek and scarce. For the price of the night per person ($44.99), I was def expecting way more in every aspect. Will NOT return and will NOT recommend to any friends.

I had been warned: having been to another Brazilian place, who's name I won't mention, that this place would seem sub-par. I should've listened! Unlike the other place, where arriving at 1pm when they stop serving lunch at 2, they don't give you dirty looks and you get the full treatment you would at opening time, here they treated me like I was killing them by being there. The salad bar hadn't been repleneshed in who knows how long, and all the meat was well done. I had to flag down servers to get meat, as they were all standing at the hostess station discussing their weekend plans and counting down the minutes until their shift was over. The selection was not nearly as good as "the other place" either, and I doubt it would've been much better had I gotten there earlier. The only really good thing: it's cheaper than "the other place", but then, you DO get what you pay for here.

I would not go back if it was free. I took my wife today and the food was extremely bland. This was my 2nd and last visit. I provided my feedback to the owner Brent and manager Marcos and neither seemed interested in my concerns. After leaving, I decided to look the restaurant up and read their reviews (wish I did this first). Coincidentally, there were several negative reviews regarding the same issue of the meat being tough and not flavorful. I contacted management when I returned home and they were very defensive of their cooking process, while I was only providing my experience. Keep in mind I was offered a discount on my food and I declined as that was not my goal. I was simply providing feedback. I really wish i read the reviews before visiting this restaurant. Going forward, I will make sure to discourage anyone from attending this restaurant if they are looking for quality Brazilian Steakhouse. On a good note the host and waitress were excellent. Unfortunately, the restaurant they work for offers bland and over cooked food.HORRIBLE!!

I think I was expecting more, which was why I was a bit disappointed. Summary: Food: Comparable to other churrascarias Price: At $41.50, fixed price was about the same as/slightly less than, other churrascarias in Atlanta. At $7.50, caipirinhas were reasonable. Atmosphere: Bland. The large sign on the building leads one to believe it is a two story restaurant, when in fact, it only comprises half of the downstairs. There is a Mexican restaurant upstairs, apparently. I was hoping for upstairs open window dining, overlooking the busy downtown Atlanta Peachtree Street, which would have been a much better atmosphere. As it were, the restaurant has a very bland atmosphere with no windows. It feels like it is shoved into the bottom left corner of the building. The decor was nothing to write home about, and the restaurant itself didn't transport me to Brazil, which is what an expensive Brazilian restaurant should do. Value: When you are spending $130 for two (with only one drink each), you expect an experience. Unfortunately, you do not get that with Fire of Brazil. There won't be a return visit for me. I think I would have simply enjoyed an American high-end steakhouse like Bones better, for slightly more money.

Honestly, based on the food alone, maybe the price is worth it. However, the service is quite possibly the worst I've ever experienced. We went on a Saturday evening of Easter weekend. It wasn't exceptionally busy by any means, but we literally had to explain to the manager TWICE that the service was slow. I get that they often have to cook the meat fresh, but to be left unserved for 15-20 minutes is unacceptable. Then to have it happen AGAIN? Unreal. We have a Brazilian churascarria where I live (not Fogo, a locally-owned restaurant) that barely leaves you alone for 5 minutes and maybe I'm spoiled, but the service was among the worst I've ever had since maybe Hardee's. I guess it would have been fine if I had expected to spend half the night there. The food itself was fine... above average, even.. but the service was beyond atrocious. I'll never go back. I'll make the trip out to Fogo even if it's more expensive.

First review I've ever written (tells you how bad this place is). If you like a piece of meat with no seasoning and very blah then you will like this place! My husband loves lamb, but he literally had to spit it out and he has never spit food out in a restaurant in our 12 years together!!!! Service was also horrible took asking three servers before we got our 2nd drink!! Normally would drink 4 drinks at a dinner like this but were only able to get service for 2!!! Definitely go to Fogo De Choa!!! This place doesn't even compare!!! We thought lets give it a try it can't be that bad (after reading reviews), oh it is do NOT "give it a try!"

"A poor man's Fogo D' Chau", I went for lunch last Monday and was sorely disappointed. I work downtown Atlanta and was having a craving for some meat so I decided to stop in, the salad bar was sorely lacking in comparison to Fogo, not even 1/10th of the selection/quality. The meat selection for lunch was ok, sausage was good along with house special and top/bottom sirloin. But service was slow and they don't ask you how you want you meat cooked, I like mine med rare and I had a plate full of meat scraps that were cooked medium to well-done. At Fogo they ask you everytime how you want your meat prepared. Also, the server was slow as well--I had to ask him multiple times for refill on my water and a basket of rolls. Maybe a little unfair to compare to Fogo, but when you spend $20 on lunch you expect better. Fogo definetly doesn't have anything to worry about from fire of brazil!

It's good. The meat is tasty. The unlimited meat and the cheese rolls that come with the meal make up for the struggling salad bar. They have these fried potatoes that are really good, I should mention. The sides and salads are on a buffet and you get those yourself, meanwhile the servers bring you the meat. They come frequently. No problems with the service at all. It was exceptional. The only reason I've been here or know about it is because my job took us here a few times. If you want to get full and are in the downtown area, I recommend it.

This place sucked. The service was slow. We had to keep asking for our table to be set up. The meat smelled old. 3 out of 4 people in our group could not eat it. I have eaten at Fogo de Chao amps loved it but this place sucked. Would give it 0 stars but was forced to give it at least 1 star to submit the review.

I have wanted to go to a churrascaria for the longest time - Fogo de Chao to be more precise. But I ended up here first since I was never able to convince anyone to accept the daunting mission of sitting down at Fogo and shelling out a chunk of money to eat a ton of meat with me. Anyway, I was looking forward to this place since it is basically the same concept as all of the Brazilian steakhouses that have popped up. Huge salad bar/cold food buffet and "endless" roasted/grilled meat on skewers served tableside. I tried a few of the bar/buffet items that were ok, but it is mostly just filler. The meat came - there were a lot of options, maybe two of them were fairly good and rest ranged from ok to poor. One major problem was that some of the meat was not cooked well. They had these 3 inch cubes of beef and some of these were totally raw on the inside - they were cooked on the outside, but half an inch in they were just completely cold, solid red meat. It would not even cut with a knife. I like my steak medium-rare, but this was just completely inedible. I'm not sure why they can't cook their meat properly - this wasn't even close to being right. So I have not been to any other churrascarias so I cannot compare, but I have to believe this has to be near the bottom. Hopefully I will be able to go to a better place one of these days and get some great food. 1.5

My wife and I went to Fire of Brazil in downtown Atlanta due to the fact that we enjoy Brazilian steakhouses...we've been to Texas De Brazil in a couple of locations, Fogo De Chao in DC and another one whose name escapes me in Ft Lauderdale. Fire De Brazil was the worst of them all. First let me start with the positives: The host was friendly, polite and welcoming. Ok now that we wrapped that up. Negatives: The salad bar was not anywhere close to the level of the previous restaurants mentioned....not in terms of variety, quality or presentation. After we finished our meager selection we sat and waited for our meat, which in reality is the real reason we visit these type of places. We waited 10 minutes for the SINGLE Gaucho to start serving, that's right not many Gauchos serving different meats but one serving all of them. It wasn't that they were particularly busy either, there was maybe one or two other tables and they were getting ready to leave. First serving of meat was not up to standards, too dry, too tough and not enough flavor. It was all downhill from there. We asked the Gaucho to not bother with bringing lamb because neither of us eat it and he said "well it is lunch time so we have a limited meat selection and lamb isn't available"...we were happy since Lunch is more than half off the regular price. We ate our fill and asked for the check and we were charged for the full dinner price. Definitely not worth the price and the quality was way below what we were hoping for. We will not be visiting Fire of Brazil again.

The food is good. There is no doubt about that. The service was perfect. But for $50 bucks a person for dinner, the food needs to be exceptional in my opinion. The meats were well cooked but lacked flavor. The salad bar, while extensive and tasty overshadowed the meat. I've had much more satisfying (much smaller meals) at fine dining restaurants for about the same per person and appreciated the subtle layering of flavors, the presentation and the ambiance much more. That's my personal feeling anyhow. If you want all you can eat meat though, this is a great stop.

If Fogo De Chao is the Mercedes of Brazillian Bbq spots, then Fire of Brazil is like the Honda Civic, it gets you where you need to go, but you arent going to pick up an babes driving it....LITERALLY. Hit this spot for lunch during one of my many cravings for brazillian barbecue. I thought this would be a good time to try some place new, and since Fire of Brazil had a 17.99 special going on for lunch, I figured there was no way that I could lose. I didnt take into consideration that there is pretty much ZILCH parking downtown in the middle of the day, so I had to tack on another 8 bucks for parking. Fire is a bit larger than it appears from the outside. I think the dining room seats about 100 folks, and it has space for larger parties. So heres the deal.....as with all of these places they give you the "rules", give you the sides, and then give your drinks/plates. At that point i turned my card over....so the green showed nice and brightly. However it took longer than I anticipated for the servers to start coming out with the meat! So i waited, and 2 minutes later, I went to the salad bar. They have this Mango crab salad that is really good. Of course filled to the brim with some type of mayo, but that damn thing is good though. By the ime i had checked out the salad bar, and sat down, they were bringing out side dishes...then came the meat....and it came swiftly. In a race to get the meat out, as one of the servers was cutting some of that nice flank steak and i was grabbing it with my tong (thats what she said), this mf actually cut my finger...like took a piece of skin off... It was like a twilight zone moment...."did that really happen"? I didnt know what to do...it was bleeding a lil bit, so i just aked for some napkins and kept eating....gross...sure..should i have gotten a free meal..yep. But i looked into that guys eyes and realized that in a recession, and probably making $11 bucks an hour, he really couldnt afford for me to do that...so i left it alone...and that guy kept my meat coming early and often...no complaints, just a look of supreme gratitude. however my servers were a bit different. After taking my time (1.5 hrs), reading my book, grazing on beef, pork and chicken, i was still yearning for more...instead i got the polite, "are there any other specific things that we can get you before we bring the bill"----Uhh yes, you can bring me another round of all those damn meats cooking back there like i paid for..." Anyways...food was decent...not nearly as good as fogo or chima, but on the same level as the brazillian spot in smyrna...(cant think of name...scott sleepy)...Just average, with a horrible parking situation. Watch your fingers...these mofo's are likely to cut them off if your not careful...

I went for lunch and the food was amazing. Its all you can eat for $18 but the quality of the food makes up for the price. Great costumer service and an amazing salad bar.

I have been here twice for lunch and have been impressed both times. The salad bar is above average with treats like a cold seafood salad a long with all of the usuals. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Fire of Brazil charges less than $20 for lunch and it was worth it. Large selection of grilled meats to choose from that were all tasty. My favorite was the house special steak fire roasted to a perfect medium. I also enjoyed the sausage and lamb. This is a great downtown stop when you are cold and hungry. I'll be back!

ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES!!!!! I went here on November 23, 2013 for a birthday celebration with some friends and family. They food was not that great but it was ok to eat, or so it seemed. After enjoying a drink and some laughs my entire party noticed 2 roaches climbing the wall not even 3 feet from our table, then we look up and there are two more hanging from the ceiling, blending in with the black paint!!!! I could not believe me eyes!!!! We call the manager MARCO or MARCOS over to address the problem. His response was: "We had Terminix to spray, I guess we have to tell them about this. I don't know what else you want me to say." Please for you own sake, go somewhere else where they take pride in SANITATION because MARCO or MARCOS sure doesn't. The sad this is NO ONE that worked there was shocked and our waiter told us of 6 separate incidences where there were reports of roach sitings...

The only thing that was good at that place was the salad bar. Everything else (the meat) was bland, dry, and cold. Also, the waiters didn't know proper English which made it hard for my friend and I to decipher whether the meat was pork or not since we're not very familiar with it. I expected it to be way better, but sadly it didn't exceed that. I suggest Fogo de Chao if you want some good steak, despite the prices there.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Fire of Brazil. The Gauchos are cool, the salad bar is very extensive, and the meat is incredible. Favorite selections of mine were the Filet Mignon which was very juicy, the NY Strip, and the grilled pineapple with cinnamon!! Very good food, and definitely worth a trip. The only con is that for $41.50 per person, it can get very pricey. I've been told to try the lunch hour for a cheaper meal albeit with less meat selections. Give it a shot!!

The food was tasty and for the most part cooked correctly. A few of the beef offerings were over cooked and the server seemed to be in a hurry to get us out the door. The salad bar was average at best and had a limited selection....next time I will go to F.de .C.

I had a disappointing dinner. The talapia sandwich (a fish torta) was unseasoned with iceberg lettuce, a tomato, and cheap white bread. The chips were dry without anything to dip in and the black beans were unremarkable. It wasn't bad, but I would not suggest this to anyone.

Do you want a lot of red meat for lunch? Want to give your large intestine a work out? This is the place for you. For lunch, it is the best deal by far. Basically, it is $16 all you can eat with a salad bar (hot and cold). Do they serve you grade A beef, no. Better than Kroger meat, yeah. You can't beat the price, but your body will hate you later.

This restaurant is absolutely horrible. Not only was the owner walking around with a chip on his shoulder when he should worry more about the customer's experience not to mention his weight, but my food was just horrible. My food took 45 mins to come when the restaurant was pretty much empty and top of that the food was just bland. Never coming back to this place again. Im quite upset since this location is in the heart of downtown. I expected more.

"And a voice came to him: "Rise, Peter, slaughter and eat!" - Acts 10:13 That scripture always comes to my mind whenever I see a Brazilian restaurant - MEAT! In terms of quality, I usually rank of Fire of Brazil behind Fogo de Chao and Caro de Boi. That said, the biggest plus for this place is that during lunch time, it's about 15 dollars. I repeat - 15 dollars for unlimited. . .. MEAT! Obviously, the meat selection is smaller than during dinner time (about 9-12, I think), but it's enough to fill you up during your lunch our and some. The flank steak is my personal favorite, followed by the garlic meat covered in bacon and the chicken covered in bacon (the greatest innovation in the last century). Yum! (Of course, if you are one of those people, there is always a salad bar as well, which you can partake separately. But if you mostly go for that. . . why?). So there you have it . If you are in downtown and you feel like scarfing down half a cow without a bit hit on your wallet, stop by there and prepare for a meat-fest! Just be careful not to fall asleep after the meal. :)

I expected so much and received so little. Service was spotty. The salad bar was bland and the meat extremely saltly and tough. The amount I spent was insane concidering the quality of the meal. Lesson learned. Never again.

I took my fiance here for Valentines dinner only because everything else was booked and we didn't have a reservation, the wait was not long so we went there. The bartender was so nice and had our drinks made in 5mins so I was excited about that. But once they took us to our table in the back of the restaurant i was a little upset. Only because the walk to the salad bar seemed so long. But it was nice to be away from the kids that were at the front so I guess that made up for being in the back. The meat was pretty good and our waiter was very nice. He checked up on us like clockwork. lolol. The only part of dinner I honestly had a problem with was the bathroom. One thing that really grinds my gears about eating in a nice restaurant is when they have a filthy bathroom, and their bathroom looked like it had not been clean all damn day!!!!!

I went for dinner and enjoyed my dinner. The salad bar had a wonderful selection of both hot and cold items. There were numerous salad and seafood options. Everything I had was very good. I had to be careful to not fill up before I had the main star, the meat. I do not eat pork ,so it was a bit disappointing that so many items either were pork or wrapped in bacon. My boyfriend, the pork lover was in heaven. They made up for it with their house eat. It was amazing. I have no idea what type of cut it was ,but oh my it was so so so good! They also brought some black beans and these remarkable little roles to the table. They tasted like the best part of a crescent role. Yum! I can't wait to go for lunch because it is such a bargain then! Oh please don't go in your jeans especially if you go for dinner. I was really appalled at the people that did. It kinda ruined the nice atmosphere.

Not the best example of a chuhascaria out there, but the meats are good and if you go for the lunch it's a good deal. I think they could improve the selection of the "other" foods.

    (1)
  • Marcus T.

    (2)
  • Paul K.

I was going there with a group and they already selected the place and I was nervous after reading the reviews below. The food and service was fine and would go again.

Ate here with work people while at a conference at work. I'm not a meat eater, so I only had the salad bar--it was fine, however my coworker went to the men's room and said there were roaches in the restroom.

MM

I've gone back a couple of times this year, and the quality at lunch time has improved considerably. The meat is cooked properly and we'll seasoned. It's a pretty good choice for eating lunch in downtown now. When you account for the location this place is actually a great value.

Why are the reviews so harsh? This place has some of the best food I've ever eaten! Most people say the service was bad, but I have been here 3-5 times and every time the service was amazing. The salad bar was ok, only thing they could improve on. All around good place besides that!

Worst Brazilian Steakhouse ever... Suggestion: get in your car and go to Fogo De Cao. This place was pathetic. Service was nonexistent, meats were all over cooked. If you request meat that is more rare, it's too much trouble. Don't wast your mine here.

Went here for v day dinner; won't ever go back... Meat was tough, salad bar was blah. Customer Service was terrible, and the food was worse. Price is the same as Fogo De Chao, but the quality was lacking.

Great food & great service. Lunchtime $17.95 for unlimited meats (that are all excellent) and salad bar in downtown Atlanta??? Wow! Try everything, but you'll want seconds of the chicken wrapped in bacon & the ham!
