Excellent! We all ordered different pastas and sauces, (very authentic). We also had the arugula salad, which was generously served and delicious. The place is casual but nicely decorated, they frequently came to our table to check on us, excellent service! We will definitely come back

The food is great, service was pretty slow, and the staff is. Nice, but seemed a bit "touched". Not sure where the retardation ends and the genius starts, but the veggie panini IS THE KING? Go get that shit! They gave us free desserts for the long wait for i give 4 stars, but only extra star for the gesture.

This place is really quaint and I would definitely come back again. It was a little pricier than I wanted to spend for lunch. I got the cheese ravioli with the bolognese sauce. It was $11, without a drink. But, if you want a drink then it's an additional $2.75. They do have lunch specials, that Re very well priced with a entree, salad or soup for $6.75. You do have to pay an additional $1.25 for a drink. They bring you your drink and bread with amazing olive oil infused with rosemary and crushed red peppers. The food itself was adequate. I felt they were a little stingy on the sauce and the ravioli was a little too al dente for my liking. One thing I would have then change was they didn't have fresh Parmesan. It was something you would buy from publix, so that was a little disappointing. I also had to go up to the front counter to get a drink refill.

Simply GOOD food, I had the Zucco Pasta, SUPERB. I've been here a few times and the service has been consistent, very good food. :)

I've eaten at a few Figo's before and this one was ok. I came on a rainy weekday after the lunch rush for a to-go order. I had the lasagna and it was saltier than other locations I've been too. I can't comment on waiter service and such just because I didn't eat in. If I'm craving this place again, I would probably opt to go to another location.

Great, local pasta restaurant. Usually do takeout and love how fresh their food is. Yummy spinach salad with goat cheese and pasta sauces are sooo good!

Yum. This place is excellent. A group of 6 of us came in about 30 minutes before closing time on a Friday night (sorry!) and ordered some pasta and wine. They also had bread and olive oil at the table. I ordered a spinach penne with a salmon cream marinara sauce and it was so good! I ended up eating all of it, though I was going to try and be good. They have a casual atmosphere where you order at the counter and then the food is brought out to you. I really enjoyed dining here and the staff was great despite our late night pop in.

Delicious! The spicy sausage, peppers and tomato sauce was out of this world served over perfectly cooked pasta! Great service, incredibly helpful and accommodating! I would have liked to have had more soup and risotto options, but that's my only complaint. Well done!

This smaller location for Figo always looked a little ominous to me but after having a few lackluster experiences at the one on Howell mill gave this one a try. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. Love the gluten free and whole wheat options in so many varieties. Great place for a quick, inexpensive, satisfying meal. Caesar salad is really delicious too. Personal favorite is whole wheat tagliatelle with siciliana sauce (eggplant, marinara, and buffalo mozzarella)

Everything's good/ the same as the other locations. EXCEPT parking sucks. and its a little smaller here compared to their edgewood or vinings locations.

I was "carbo loading" with my running team before my first 5k last night and we decided to go to figo. None of us needed to carbo load to run 3 miles but who needs a reason to eat carbs?! Figo is in a small plaza so don't miss it. Parking is tight but a few spots in the front, no real issues there. When you walk in you order and pay then the waitress seats you. Not much seating but at 6:30 on Friday we didn't have any problems seating 5. I asked the cashier if she had the ravioli special but she didn't seem like she knew or cared if I would like it. She did mention that the specials are usually pretty good. Prices for entrees are $10-15 which is not bad and you can add meatballs for an extra charge. The bread on the table was delicious with the olive oil they provide. Refills were free. The pepper grinders were uniquely painted, that was kinda cute. I ordered the goat cheese which came on the hardest ciabatta bread I've ever tried to eat. I had to scrape the goat cheese off and put in on the table bread. That combo was delicious. My entree was the beet ravioli in lobster sauce. It was served with 6 ravioli on the plate. Great portion for me but if you're super hungry add meatballs or appetizer. My water glass was refreshed at regular intervals which is always a plus. It was definitely nice to be able to leave when we were done an not have to wait for the check. I would definitely eat here again but I won't be making carbo loading a habit. Enjoy!

Very nice neighborhood spot. You go to the counter to order the type of homemade pasta + the sauce you want, and a server brings it to your table. It's tasty, fast and and inexpensive. I had penne with arrabbiata. I swear it was as good as at any white table cloth restaurant. A tip of the hat to the order taker, Grecia. She is pleasant, polite, efficient and friendly. Plus she has the world's most beautiful name.

I absolutely love FIGO and just found their original location. I loved Howell Mill sorry they moved, have not been to the new one yet, but parking there looks very dicey. I've also enjoyed their Dunwoody location on more than one occasion. I always get the same sauce with varying pastas. The mushroom cream sauce -- LOVE it!!

This is the hidden gem of all the Figo's...it's small, cozy and nestled in with a few other restaurants and therefore pretty easy to miss. The staff is super friendly and well-versed on the menu. They even have an ingredients print-out for those with allergies and are very aware of gluten and soy sensitivities. You can't go wrong with the $6.95 lunch special-your choice of a panini, salad and figotini and the portions are great! Definitely money well spent, especially for being in the city. The only thing that makes the Howell Mill location top this one is the outdoor patio. But I'll definitely be back here soon!

The original FIGO Pasta. Don't get too distracted by the other branches: this humble locale in between the dry cleaning store and the nail salon is where it all began. Stroll on in and soak in the clean design of the restaurant. Explore the menu where you can mix and match sauces ($4.50) and types of pasta ($4.25) or explore one of the specials. Order at the counter, after which the server will give you a decorated pepper shaker to serve as your meal marker. Find your own table, and a waiter will greet you with water served in jars and an overflowing basket of bread. I personally enjoy Whole Wheat Penne and Funghi sauce or Broccoli e Gamberi with Fettucine. Try the monthly specials since the risotto has never let me down! This location is much smaller than the others I've visited, but it makes for a much more intimate dining experience. Quality is also higher here than most other FIGOs I've visited. TIPS - You can order the pasta without sauce and they will give you buttered pasta - Definitely try the specials. The risotto (when they offer it) is fantastic. - Bread is unlimited, and the olive oil on your table is not just for decoration!

I've had better pasta out of a can. Now this being said if you are slightly clogged up this will definitely give you some relief. My body decided that this was not food but apparently something trying to invade my body that must be purged immediately. On a good note I didn't die so that is a positive.

Cute little place with casual comfortable atmosphere. Decent size portions of delicious pasta. You're given the option to build your own and choose amongst several different types of pasta and sauces. Perfect hot meal on this chilly gloomy Monday in December.

We were visiting Atlanta and We found this place on here "yelp" and it was delicious. I had the lasagna and my husband had the wild mushroom ravioli with Alfredo sauce and they both were amazing. The waitress was great and done a wonderful job explaining everything to us about the different dishes. You can also pick your own pasta and different sauces. MAny different choices of Italian dishes. This is a very casual and comfortable place to eat, small to mid size we would definitely eat here again thanks to Yelp reviews;) oh and we also had the Tiramisu and it was wonderful and big portions of everything!!

I just discovered Figo and I have to say that I love it! The food always arrives quickly and with a smile. I tried a new dish my last time and felt it was too spicy for my taste (although had great flavor). The server was super sweet, even made me a different dish to take home! This is my new weekday spot......

My friend and I would often drive past FIGO and she'd ask me if I've eaten there yet. After about a year, we finally decided to go there for dinner. IT WAS AMAZING! The cool thing about FIGO is that after you pay at the counter and sit down, instead of finding you using number cards, they find you based on the pepper grinder they give you when you pay. These pepper grinders are painted and vary from flowers to baseballs. DONT GRAB THE WRONG ONE or else you'll get someone else's food. P.S. Make sure you tip when you order, or leave some cash on the table after your meal. You sit down, a waitress will come over with complimentary bread in a small tin bucket. Pour olive oil and add pepper from your spiffy pepper grinder. Wait about 5 min and they'll bring your food out. Food: - Chicken and Mushroom Marsala with the funghi (creamy mushroom and garlic) sauce is SO GOOD. I can't get over the flavor. The pasta is a bit on the al dente (hard) side though. - Salad: a friend ordered the arugula and loved it, and I've heard that the spinach salad is orgasmic. Ever since my first time eating at FIGO last month, I can't help but anticipate when I'll be able to go again. With so many pasta and sauce choices, that gives hundreds of possible combinations. Too much pasta, not enough time!

Casual, delicious, reasonably priced and reliable. They have great specials and all the regular standby's. The mushroom ravioli is amazing and the small crostini's are to die for. Bread and oil at the table are complementary. They have a fantastic lunch menu that offers a great value.

Though I didn't eat this time, I have eaten here before and bought my client her lunch. The food is great; I think they even do GF pasta. What I liked about this place was that we were able to hang a couple of hours and do work - very laid back.

I'm a fan of Figo in general. The fact that this location is literally a 2 minute drive from my apartment just increases the appeal. I've never dined in at this location. I've always stopped by after work and picked up dinner. They're usually pretty quick and I don't have to wait more than 15 minutes for my food. The quality is consistent & I get the same thing pretty much every time. Why mess with a good thing? If I have one objection, I wasn't thrilled with the meatball. It was really small for the price. I was expecting something maybe 2-3 inches across and this was the size of your standard meatball. For $2? No thanks. I can make my own at home. I also found a piece of bone and that freaked me out a bit. I know they can't necessarily tell that when they're making it, but biting down on that was a decidedly unpleasant experience. Overall, I'm happy with them. I'll just stick to what I know and make my own meatballs.

I don't know what the owner of all of the Figo Pasta's in Atlanta has done, but a place that I used to look forward to dining at has turned into a skimpy joke. I had been an early lover of Figo at some of the original locations back in 2006-2007 I believe. I even worked at a location for a few months. The quantity and quality of food they give you has nearly diminished, from the bread to the pasta. If you have a party of 2, you are lucky to get more than 3 measly pieces of their cold, jaw-breaking bread. (The bread has changed multiple times since 2007). What's so hard about keeping bread warm The amount of pasta that they give you has decreased, ESPECIALLY the ingredients/add ons to the pasta (eggplant, mozzarella, etc.) It's quite ironic that the Figos slogan is "be yourself, be FIGO", considering the place has gone so far from its roots that you can make tastier pasta at home for a quarter of the price. I blame the owner of all of the Figo's for this, since he is ultimately in charge. It is not the managers' fault at the various locations. So, Mr. Bald Grumpy Italian Owner Guy (I forgot his name), please go back to your roots, stop being a cheap skimp on the food, and "BE YOURSELF, BE FIGO!"

  • Kevin L.

It's the Italian equivalent of Chipotle. Lasagna was cold in the middle. Meatballs were chewy, tastes like eating unseasoned beef. Bread was mediocre at best. I'd save the money and cook pasta at home versus spending $15 for lasagna and two plain balls of meat.

    (2)
  • Danan C.

Great food, but the price-meter is a little bit off. It would be 2 $'s if you didn't order any meatballs with your pasta, but who does that? My wife and I had 1 dish with pasta, meat balls & sauce with no drink an it was $30.00. That being said. It's definitely worth it because it was delicious!

Keep in mind this is the smaller restaurant, really small. I didn't go with any expectations of great pasta. You order at the counter before finding a seat in the small place. I think 3rd time is a charm. I had a good experience this time around. Before I had just spaghetti and meatballs, the next time I had pasta puttanesca, and this time I had penne with pollo sauce, which was very good. It had good flavor, but very little chicken in it. Just remember it's fast and cheap.

I really wanted to like this place, especially after reading all the positive reviews on here. I ordered two things through Zifty, the 6 cheese ravioli with the bolognese sauce, and the lobster ravioli. I figured that even if the lobster ravioli wasn't great, it's hard to go wrong with cheese ravioli. The cheese ravioli wasn't horrible, but it was fairly tasteless. The lobster ravioli itself was pretty good, but there was almost no sauce, which killed it for me. I don't need overly spiced and cheesy Italian food, but I expected a general higher quality. I'd say maybe it's better at the restaurant, but I don't see how.

My husband and I have very different views on pasta. He sees it as a pure cost/benefit analysis: "I could make this at home for $2." I see it as an experience, and, if you're lucky, a taste of Italy, cooked with love, that you could never recreate yourself. Fortunately, Figo works for both of us. With reasonably-priced pasta dishes and a cute atmosphere, it makes for a cheap date night and leaves us feeling full and satisfied. I go for the linguine with checca (can someone PLEASE tell me if it's pronounced "cecka" or "checka"?), a simple but incredible dish with real mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, a little olive oil, and fresh basil. But. Let. Me. Tell. You: I am also now a meatball fan. I never gave much thought to meatballs. I mean, they're balls of meat. And the appeal is what, here? However, Figo recently started offering a selection of meatballs, and I am officially a convert. I tried out the (very inexpensive) $1.50 chicken parmigiana meatball, and it was an out-of-body experience. Fork-tender ground chicken, herbs and spices, laced with mozzarella and basil, with a wafer-thin cheesy crust around it from the pan-searing. AMAZING. I don't think I'll be able to go back to Figo without getting one. You really can't miss it. Other than the fact that the salad has a little too much dressing, Figo (and this location was the first one!) is worth a stop-in. Perfect for a casual date or dinner with girlfriends (half priced select bottles of wine on Tuesdays - hurrah!), it's simple, tasty, and inexpensive. Exactly like pasta should be.

Never crowded, great service, and great food. I'm a huge fan. I go there often for lunch. It's a great alternative to the other restaurants in the area.

Genius idea. Choose your handcrafted pasta or gnocchi and choose your handcrafted sauce; both are priced separately and plates come to about $8 - $10. Order and pay at the counter and it's delivered to your table, but it's in a classy, hip environment, unlike most counter-order eateries. Handcrafted raviolis and lasagnas and specials of the day. Sauce choices are varied and all the ones I sampled were fantastic. Creamy salmon-basil with fettuccine was enough for 2 meals. Panini are tasty as well. Clever, affordable, delicious, well-executed. A low-maintenance, pleasing experience.

  • S S.

The food used to be excellent. I could count on the specials being great, but my last visit the specials were sub par. I expressed this to 2 waitresses, and they did nothing to offer an exchange or $$ or a coupon. The basics are still ok, but the general feeling was so,etching has slipped. I talked to friends about this and they had experienced the Lessing of standards here. This is only for the collier road restaurant, not the others in atlanta.

Food was great. They offer Gluten free and it was delicious, I'm super picky especially on gluten free, but it tasted wonderful! It's a kind of mix and match deal they make fresh. Very tasty and filling.

So, here's the thing.... A friend ushered me into Figo after hearing me lament about missing all of my favorite restaurants in LA. I had heard him blather on and on about Figos fresh pasta offerings, and was a bit skeptical, one bite of my freshly prepared corn and truffle oil ravioli and I was sold. I've got high standards, however, I'm not a food snob, I recognize fantastic food when I see it. My ravioli were cooked perfectly, not too mushy, with tons of bite, the tomatoes in the sauce were fresh, chunky, and fairly well seasoned. The day I attended it was snowing, so, the dinning area wasn't packed, so, I cant speak about that, however, it was nice, clean, well lit and comfortable. I will be going back to Figo, my brain filled with all kinds of ideas for amazing pasta creations.

Actually had a hard time finding something I liked on the menu-- for having a lot of options it sort of didn't have much that called out to me! But I went to lunch here by myself one day when I felt like having a leisurely lunch break and it was a really enjoyable place for dining alone. You have a waiter that brings your food/bread etc. but you order at the front of the restaurant so it's not quite wait-service-- something I like a little better when eating alone. I had a special, some sort of pasta and cheese with chicken and peas, and it was very good, but again it was the only thing that appealed to me (if the special of the day were something different i'm not sure what i would have done!) sure beat waiting in line at taqueria though.....

  • Alice H.

I agree with Jeremy J. that the more the chain expands, the less consistent the food becomes. That is why I always stick with the Collier original location. My two sauces are always either the cheeca or the funghi, and I am truly in love with both of them. I always ask for my cheeca to be cooked extra-hot because I like when the cheese is melted, even if it is not the proper Italian thing to do. For the money, Figo is the best place in Atlanta. And, although I admit that I haven't been in a while, the Italian (owner?) and the Aussie are fantastic eye-candy!

I can always count on Figo - the food is delicious, and the service is friendly (and often entertaining). We're lucky enough to live within a mile, so this is my go-to restaurant for take out. Everything is delicious. We usually try at least one of the daily specials of which they usually have a soup, an appetizer, a pasta, and a dessert. The ingredients are so fresh - the pasta is the best I've had outside of Italy. My favorites are the wild mushroom ravioli with funghi sauce and the whole wheat penne with siciliana sauce. The portions are generous (definitely enough for lunch tomorrow). This location is good for take out or a casual dinner in the neighborhood. It's especially entertaining to order your take out in person and listen to the owner's Italian nephew take orders and interact with customers with his Italian accent and flare (it was particularly enjoyable after Italy won the World Cup). If you really want the ambiance, you should go to the one on Howell Mill (not that far away) which has more space and separate rooms. This location is not good for groups since it is quite small.

I called place an order tonight and Elliot let me know that they were closing at 9:30. I said never mind I guess, to which he responded ok, then stayed silent in the phone until I finally hung up. Hey Elliot, maybe you should change your sign to closes whenever we get too lazy to work anymore!!!!

Where do I start??? If ONLY Figo was anywhere around Chicago... (1) CHEAP, inexpensive, like you can dine with wine for under $15 (2) Salads to die for, especially the Insalata di Argula con Parmigiano... it was the perfect blend of peppery, tangy, deliciousness!!! The Insalata di Spinaci e Caprino was yummy too, tangy and sweet. (3) Gluten-free Fusilli, it was meaty, fresh and did not taste like rice noodles. (4) You pick the sauce!! I tried the Broccoli e Gamberi, total yum, and they did not overcook the shrimp! Then I had to try the Cinghiale (aka wild boar sauce) which was meaty and slightly sweet. Seriously, I had no idea I was eating gluten-free it was THAT good.

Small cozy, great date spot, gets you in the mood for conversation over a delicious white wine! Service was great...the host was Italian so it made the experience more authentic. My panini went down well and I'm sure I will order it again! My gf pasta dish look like it was made to please a pasta lovers appetite!

The location or Collier is very small, I like the space inside of the Edgewood location better. You order and pay at the counter and the server brings your food to your table. The wait is reasonable and the kitchen is pretty much beside the dining area. The menu is broken down into the type of pasta, the sauce and the topping. I always get the penne, garlic based sauce w/chicken and mushrooms. It always fresh. The parking can be difficult but it is worth it! They open late on the weekends so call first.

Figo is one of those places that I loved the original, then the second one was ok and now its full blown whatever! I would like to name this phenomenon the "Flying Biscuit Nose Dive." Too much of a good thing turns me off to a once delicious cheap eat. Figo is one place that my wife and I list essentially every time we run through the joints that are close to the house and we are not sure what we want to eat that night. Every time it gets second and third rankings. We do like the place though and the food is consistent but it used to be really great. Some dishes that are of note are the ravioli with checca (tomatoes, fresh mozz, basil, oil), the melon and prosciutto, and the angel hair bologenese ( i know, basic, but decent). We also love dipping bread in peppery oil, but most times the bread is pretty basic. I recommend the place for cheap eats and decent food but it has def lost that charm we remembered when mass production wasn't the key. Mange!

This small pasta joint is about 3 blocks from where I work. That hasn't always been the case - I used to be willing to travel 20 minutes just to get their fresh pasta. Only a few short years ago, the choices in this restaurant category were very limited - now, these places are ubiquitous. Yesterday someone treated me to lunch here. Had a nice light arugula salad with a side of salmon/herb sauce plus a glass of house white. My friend had the eggplant ravioli with funghi sauce and house Chianti. All dishes were acceptable, and the funghi sauce was exceptional. Stick with the fresh pasta and the inexpensive wine for the optimum experience here. Also, the arugula (when in season) is fantastic - my experience yesterday didn't live up to this billing, but I've been nicely arugula'd there many times in the past. Figo has helped spawn a plethora of small fresh pasta joints in Atlanta, and for this we owe them our thanks. Visit any of their locations - they're all good. Recommended for sheer value.

This place used to be the best pasta restaurant in town, highly frequented by italians, so you knew it was authentic. Now it has become a chain restaurant and unfortunately the quality seems to go down with the size of the business. It's still palatable but where I used to go a few times a month my frequency has dwindled down to at most once every couple of months (just to see if they've gone back to their old ways)

I'm absolutely a fan! You are gonna get me with great service, fresh food and a clean spot every time. When it comes to this restuarant, size does not matter! It is a very quaint and intimate spot with indoor and outdoor seating. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in all other areas. Whether dine in or take out, if you are a fan of Italian, you must visit here.

My first time at this place and I absolutely LOVED it!!! At first sight, I wasn't sure what to expect. You order at the counter and get a pepper shaker to take to your table. Our cashier/server was very friendly and made great recommendations! I had the Tuscan sausage and apple ravioli with the Funghi sauce and it was absolutely delicious. I will be back...I just don't know if I want to try something new or stick with what I loved.

We grabbed dinner here before going to Red Brick on a Friday evening. It was super fast and soooo delicious. I'm nuts for gnocchi pasta and they gave me plenty of it for a nice price. Don't let the calories scare you away, it's worth it!

Figo gives off a homey setting compared to the other Italian restaurants you have been too. I love their Italian bacon pasta.... with lots of extra black pepper. Some of the Figos you go to will have a dessert side (the one on Howell Mill I think) You can order gelato or sorbet after your meal. It's cheap, it's good, and it's quick.

  • Stephie Z.

I was not impressed with my Figo experience. The "hostess" who took the money was really nice as well as our server, but the food itself was crap. I ordered a dish that was supposed to be spicy and it was super bland. Newman's Own makes better sauce then that. The bread was decent and the company was good, but they need to improve on the food, since after all they are a restaurant. I am going to try and give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again at the Va Hi location. Hopefully a new dish will be better than the dollar store crap I had before.

Right around the corner from my house but would still be woth it even if I had to fight ATL traffic to get there. The prices are great for the quality of food you get. Never had a bad meal or bad service any time I have been.

I love this place and thank you my closest friend that she introduced me to Figo. I live north of Atlanta and there is a location by North Point Mall. We will be back.

Finding Figo to be Fabulous Figo Pasta is probably one of the staples of my weekly diet. It's just one of those places that when someone says "let's go to Figo", you can't argue or complain. Choose your pasta (artichoke ravioli, fusilli, spinach papardelle, etc.). Choose your sauce (fughi, Bolognese, salmone-yum). Decide if you want the daily soup or a side salad, or how about their daily appetizer specials (Bruschetta anyone?). Decide on a bottle of wine (red or white). Decide if you want to save room for desert (can you really pass up Tiramisu?). That's it! And it's guaranteed to be delicious! You wait and order and pay all at the counter when you walk in, and the sweet girl hands you a painted pepper grind. You chose your table (inside or out?). They bring you fresh bread and extra virgin olive oil (e.v.o.o. if you are Rachel Ray). Then they bring your food warm and delectable. Then you eat! The only other advice I can give is not to bring your indecisive friends. There seems to be just too many choices for them to handle. But whatever you choose, it's going to be delicious.

I eat at Figo in Decatur all the time, since it's right across from my work. The Decatur location is great because it's fairly large (compared to say, Collier Rd. location which is TINY and better for takeout). My faves: Cheese ravioli or whole wheat penne with Pollo sauce Spinach Salad (AMAZING!!) Fried Aritchoke Ravioli Skip: Gnocci - or at least mine was way overcooked and mushy Amatriciana Sauce - the panchetta in mine was super fatty and not to tasty Also, they have great specials. If you eat there often, join the email list on their website and get the specials list weekly.

I really liked figo as a cool little date place, not too pricey. I expected a little better olive oil for the bread. But the pick your pasta, then sauce, then table is really easy. The Brusetta is great. of course not all pastas go with all sauces, so you kinda gotta know you're stuff.

I felt compelled to yelp this place after reading Lauren's review. I reviewed the Howell Mill Figo location and loved it. This location has the same great food, but it is much smaller, and doesn't have quite the same ambiance. I can't speak about the children, because every time I've been here its been rather dead. In short, I go to this location if I am by myself, but if I wanted to take Jane for some Figo, I'd just go to Howell Mill. They are both equally close to my house.

Great Pasta, Plenty of seating, and food is great. Only downside to this location is the parking.

Had my first Figo's experience here! Love the fresh bread and olive oil. And the simple menu order system. Fresh pasta and yummy sauce at a fair price ... can't beat that!

Figo Pasta Haiku Review There's never a line at this tiny whole in the wall, yet the food is great!

At Figo you order at the counter up front, then take a seat in the dining room. Pick a pasta, pick a sauce, pick a table. It's that simple. Once your seated, servers come by to ask about drinks, grated parmesan, the usual. They're very friendly and attentive. Try the spinach and ricotta ravioli or the gemelli with pollo sauce (chicken). But don't worry - it's all good.

I was in town for work and decided to look up a Cheap Eat from Citysearch.com and Figo was definitely more than a cheap eat!!! How I wish there is a Figo Pasta in Texas. Went there for dinner and was surprised to see what a long line it was outside of the restaurant! Apparently you order your food before you get seated. But once you sit down the food comes to you right away. Service is just awesome! The pasta is fresh and there are plenty of item to choose from! For 2 person, we ordered fettuccine with sausage marinara sauce, crab ravioli in pesto sauce, 2 glasses of red wine, bruchetta as appetizer, and a tiramisu. The total came up to only $30! If I visit Atlanta again I will definitely come back here for sure.

Meh not so much a fan...they didn't even have pesto pasta which is my favorite! Having said that, I guess the "build your own" is a good idea. The actual restaurant has a lot of cozy nooks and corners. Service is not high class but decent. Good for a dinner with friends if you're looking for something decent and quick-ish, and you're in the area. Nothing I would drive TO.

The pasta here is great, they make it in house. Sometimes service can be slow, the ambiance is sort of blah, but the food is great and cheap and there is free parking etc, so its a no lose situation.

My boyfriend was in the mood for pasta, so thanks to yelp, we stumbled upon this gem. We called in our order for take-out and arrived 15 minutes later to pick up our food. Great, prompt service. I was surprised to see that there were not more people there, the place had a really cute and intimate atmosphere, even though it is in a somewhat sketchy looking area. The food is so reasonable- under $10 per person and I love how you are able to customize your order to your preference. They have so many raviolis and pastas to pick from, it was hard to choose. My bf got the short rib ravioli with the Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino. I got the wild mushroom ravioli with siciliana sauce. His was the tastier or the two, the short rib had great flavor and I loved the light but well-seasoned sauce. My portion size was larger, but the sauce didn't have that great strong flavor as his did. This place is great for eating in or taking out- I'll have to try the other combos next time. Wish they gave you some suggestions of what goes well together!

I love Figo, but not this Figo. I usually go to the one on Howell Mill, but opted for this one instead since I was on my way towards Buckhead. I'll put it this way: I definitely would have saved at least half an hour backtracking to the Howell Mill Figo. Tiny dining area, ridiculously crowded, and full of screaming little kids. Ugh. The staff had us wait to order until a table opened up, but they offered to bring us out some free appetizers. Fair trade, I thought. We ended up waiting half an hour to order, which wasn't that much of an issue, but those "free appetizers" never seemed to surface. Now that is just cruel. As if that wasn't enough, we got jumped in line by some people who arrived after us. SO not cool. The food was delicious, as usual, but the disorganization was unacceptable. With the Howell Mill location just a few short miles down the road, I can't picture myself returning to this Figo or recommending it to anyone else.

Figo is cheap, so I guess I got what I paid for. My sister took me here once, and I was pretty unimpressed. I like a dimly lit, casual place, but I thought the service was intolerably slow and a little neglectful. The caprese salad, which I normally love, was just mediocre, and the tables seemed to be too close together to walk comfortably between. I won't be back.

Figo is definitely one of the best cheap eats in the hood. Where else can you get a salmon salad for only $7. I sometimes think I can eat healthy and cheaper here than cooking my own meal, which is why I eat there alot. My favorite comfort food is the Spinach Linguine with the Sciliana Sauce. And I've newly discovered their paninis. All remarkable, all a great price.

I had the October special today for lunch and it really was outstanding. Ravioli filled with broccoli, spinach, and kale....and somehow infused with acai! It's only on the menu for October but I think I'm gonna have to go back this week before it's gone. Also, a dollar from this special goes to support breast cancer research...it's a win-win! You order at the front, and the girl that took my order and brought my food was super friendly, considerate, and informative. The only complaint I have is that the portions were kind of small...they do give you bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar which helps out though.

I LOVE Figo. Both of them. They are completely different places, however. If I want to go to a restaurant, I am going to go to Osteria del Figo on Howell Mill. If I just want food, I'm going to go to Figo Pasta on Collier - I think of this Figo as being really good food, but fast food style. Usually, I'm going to get it to go. It's a nicely decorated little place, but the reason to go to Figo Pasta is to get good food fast and cheap, not for the atmosphere or to be waited on. Imagine if McDonald's served high quality Italian food, and that's what Figo Pasta is. In my opinion, that's pretty much awesome.

I absolutely love the ambiance at this place (Decatur location), comforting, and romantic. Great music serenades you while you eat, and the food is both good and well priced. You pick your pasta, and you pick your sauce to make your meal. Lots of choices, and great specials. They have wine and beer as well. You MUST get the Caesar salad (get the whole one if there are two of you) as an appetizer; it comes out fast, and is delicious. The only reason this place doesn't get the full five stars, is because the pasta sauce isn't that overwhelming; but then again, it is pasta sauce. Overall, I would eat here again, and again.

I liked the nice Bohemian atmosphere that Figo gives out. Their take on Caesar Salad is a bit difficult, but great. I didn't do too well on the sauce that I chosen, but the pasta itself is great. I'll try to do better next time. And oh, the woman in the Figo Pasta place on Howell Mill that looks like a tanned Sophia Loren - whew!

We headed here after an afternoon at the Red Brick Brewery. It was the perfect complement to all the beer that we tasted. The staff is friendly and eager to explain anything on the menu. The prices are reasonable and the selection of sauces, pastas, salads, and specials guarantees that everyone will find something appealing. It was a wonderful experience!

Impressive, Figo. I didn't expect much from this restaurant because it's rather inexpensive, but the food is very tasty and the portions are generous. I enjoy the salmon in a pink sauce with penne pasta. Delish. The mushroom ravioli is another favorite of mine. The atmosphere is suitable for many occasions - a dinner with friends, the family, or a date. This is one of those places everyone can usually agree on. I recommend Figo to all.

Authentic and charming Italian restaurant. The made-from-scratch ravioli was great, but I had to send my gnocchi back. It had the consistency of peanut butter. The tiramusu, topped with fresh coffee bean shavings, was awesome. This place has potential. I'd go back.

I love that you see them making the pasta, even fine dining Italian restaurants rarely do that. That is the reason I went and will continue to go.

The pasta is great, the ambience is fresh. I really do appreciate the fact they have 8 different sauces. I mean really who does that? The mix and match system is a great idea! you could have the same ravioli three times in a row but a whole different experience depending on what sauce you choose! Well I am sure I will be frequenting this place often since it is about 5 blocks from my house :)

I love pasta and could truly eat it every day. I generally don't order pasta out, as it is usually over cooked and the sauces are usually not to my liking. Figo comes close to delivering good pasta. The pasta is a shy less than al dente and that is a major complaint for me. I like the red sauce with eggplant and ricotta salata cheese. They also do a nice job with ravioli. The bread that comes with your meal is surpisingly tasteless and bland.

This place is great pasta on the cheap. Also if you are a emory student or grad student show them your card and you get a free salad or brushetta. Like i needed another reason to come here. (decatur location)

When I found this place, it was a little cash-only joint off of Collier Rd. It's like the Soup Nazi, only they serve homemade pastas and sauces. You pick your pasta; you pick your sauce, and voila, it's just like Italy...well, almost. Mirko and Sandro, the owners, are warm guys who never thought their place would take off like it did. They now have a few locations and they are all packed. The mushroom ravioli and the spinach pasta are great; the pomodoro sauce, checa, and the meat sauce are amazing. Really, though, anything here is delicioso!

Anxiously awaiting the Edgewood location to open... Mildly addicted to the checca sauce. Just really tasty, fresh ingredients.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
