Came here with my daughter after a failed attempt to attend a concert. It more than made up for the missed concert. Staff was warm and welcoming. Atmosphere was friendly and jovial. Gen, (pronounced JEN) might be the best server/hostess in town. She was attentive and sympathetic to my daughters plight. For you men out there looking for nice scenery, the women in here were tops. Incredible, would be my one word description. It is an Irish pub, so I guess if you hate the Irish, this might not be your place. For the rest of the intelligent world, this is a must. Last but not least, the "Topped Chips" with cheese and bacon, although likely to cause premature heart disease, are the closest thing you can get to real "chips" this side of Dublin.

Love this place, great neighborhood addition. What I loved about it was the thoughtfully designed atmosphere, the excellent variety of craft beer & bourbon, and the upbeat & attentive staff. I visited on St Pats - they'd been open only a couple of days, and was really impressed with the service. What's great about the layout is how open and airy it feels and how they've really designed the space to allow for gathering with your friends (and watching a game) without feeling like your going to be rundown or having to stay at the bar. Definitely one of my new fav spots.

Great service! Never had a bad experience. Treated well. Good food. It's slightly pricey but better than some of the other pubs around here. Decor is definitely comfortable.

I hosted my husband's birthday celebration at fado Midtown. Ashley helped us from beginning to end with aiding in the selection of food, setting up decorations, and checking on us the day of the event (her day off). We used the room in the back (with the tall tables). It was the perfect size for 20 people and was very comfortable. The staff that night was fantastic-professional, fun, responsive, and friendly. And, our guests complimented the food several times. A big thank you goes out to the whole team as they made my husband's special event...special!

We went during the Colombia v. Brazil game so it was extra crowded but the hostess and wait staff were still very friendly. Our waitress was really nice. She hustled to provide us with good service. We ordered the cheese dip with boxty chips for an appetizer. My son likes queso dip at Mexican restaurants and thought it was similar and loved it. My daughter is a vegetarian. our waitress was very helpful in coming up with good vegetarian options and at the end of the meal she made a special point to make sure my daughter liked her food. We look forward to coming back to watch another soccer match and eat good food!

I've been to the Fado over on Buckhead Avenue before and had a great experience, but my experience at this location was lacking. The food was just as excellent as always, but the service wasn't that great. Our server wasn't memorable, can't even remember her name, because she barely talked to us outside of taking our order. I'll probably stick to the other location, but at least the food is consistently good! I'll always know that if I need a good bite I can at least get that here.

My coworker and I ventured here for lunch. Upon walking in, we see a sign that says, "please seat yourself", but we were also greeted by a friendly staff member who encouraged us to sit anywhere we desired. I really love the aspect that staff are eagerly greeting patrons as they walk in, even though they don't have to because there's a sign directing you to do so, but having that personable greeting adds a nice touch! Off to the right of the restaurant, there's a circular room filled with gorgeous booths and cushions with large windows. This room seemed open and inviting and reminded me of being in an atrium. I immediately gravitated towards a booth here, and the fancy décor, along with the sunlight, instantly brightened the mood. We were immediately greeted by our server and he asked how long our lunch break was to be cognizant of our time. He turned out to be very attentive during our entire meal but not overbearing--his service definitely added to the experience! I feel that their menu is somewhat confusing and slightly limited. There's a lot going on in that one page of food selection, and two different standout color schemes--red for happy hour specials, and black for everything excluded from happy hour, along with salads, big plates, glossary of words--it's a lot to take in. There's not a lunch menu here, and I feel like this location could really benefit from featuring some lunch specials, especially for someone like myself who wanted something more than an appetizer, but not necessarily a "big plate". I decided on one of my past favorites from the Buckhead location, the Chicken Boxty Quesadilla: chicken, pico, pepper jack, between two potato boxties, red-chili aioli & sour cream . This comes with four quesadilla pieces and I really love their pico and red-chili aioli on top. The quesadilla is hot, flavorful, and seasoned well and is loaded with pepper jack cheese. I loved the quality of the food I had and the presentation was beautiful. By the way, the sweet tea is top notch here, too! My coworker commended me on an excellent lunch choice. We both enjoyed our experience here. Can't wait to come back--this place will definitely be one of my favorites!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Fado! Sláinte! It's great to have another Irish pub in the heart of Midtown. Now our little part of the city has a second place to get an excellent pint of Guinness, along with better than average bar food. The decor is more city chic than Irish pub, but the barstools are comfortable and the mixed seating areas scattered throughout the large, open space are conducive to gathering in groups large or small. (Not quite as great as the old original Fado in Buckhead, but it works at Peachtree & 8th.) The $5 happy hour specials - food and drink - are a reason to leave work a little early. Enjoy a strawberry mule, a Moscow mule with fresh muddled strawberries, and a select menu of appetizers. There aren't a lot of GF options, but I was able to enjoy the roasted red pepper hummus platter, served with assorted fresh vegetables, including cucumbers, carrots, celery and radishes. My dining companions both enjoyed their bacon cheeseburgers with thin-cut fries, asserting that yes, they were better than average, but not quite up to the high standards of Grindhouse Killer burgers or even Five Guys. But since you can't get a cocktail or a pint at Five Guys, score a point for Fado.

Good addition to Midtown, with the same menu and dti is as a typical Fado. But there is a whoaful lack of bar space. No more than 20 bar stools in the entire place

The Fado is one of the best Irish restaurants there is,in my opinion. My daughter loved their BBQ Wings. The fries were great too. I had the Shepherd's Pie, that was very excellent. The staff were very friendly and service was great. The seats were so comfortable and fancy. The place was well kept and very neat.

After a not-so-good first experience, I returned to Fado to watch a game and had a change of heart. It was a full house on the 4th of July and we still had great service thanks to Rachel, regardless of our table's rowdiness over the game. She was on top of it -- very attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. I'm not crazy about their menu options and was there to just drink anyway, but I have to say the bread pudding was delish. Looking forward to trying it again. For the service this is a way better option than World of Beer a few blocks down.

Not the best experience i ever had in Midtown. Security was incredibly rude and acted as if they were looking to pick a fight with every person who came in. Service was slow. I usually have a lot of leeway with places but this is not an establishment I'll be visiting again. Buckhead location is much better

We were immediately greeted by a manager who made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The bartender gave us excellent service for the entirety of our visit and was just as concerned for our comfort as the manager. The drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is classy but still somewhat casual. I highly recommend Fadó and will definitely be making a trip back down to Atlanta just for them!

Another place after my own heart. They have $5 happy hour from 4-7! Grabbed drinks here with a friend after work on Thursday. The place is nice and has plenty of seating. Our server was awesome. He suggested the Trinidad Sour and did not steer us wrong. It was delicious (and strong!) After two of these I decided to try the Strawberry Mule, which didn't win me over. It was served in a copper mug and tasted like alcoholic pennies. For food I had the lunch portion of the fish and chips ($10.95) and it was yummy--good flavor, not too oily like most fish and chips, and the portion was more than enough. Overall I had a good experience and will be coming back to try the whole happy hour menu. (Menu here: fadoirishpub.com/atlanta… )

Food is okay. Not great, just okay. Ambiance is pretty good, and convenience of location for me is superb. I live in the building above the restaurant and could eat here some more. However, I will not be eating here again. TWICE already they PADDED MY BILL. One dollar more than I tipped. Twice. I tipped 18%+, added tip and totaled my credit card slip, but then what appears on my statement is $1.00 more than I tipped. This happened twice already. The first time this happened I shrugged it off as someone's honest mistake. Second time is too coincidental. I have a copy of the charge slip and it's super clear, no chance for a second honest mistake. This time I disputed the credit card charge with my bank, and will not be visiting this dishonest place ever again. Hope they go out of business soon so that a more honest restauranteur can come in to this great space.

This is the latest addition to the midtown bar/restaurant scene. Went here for lunch. The ambience is really nice. They have a number of big screens for sports, ... They have a great selection of Whiskey, a good selection of beer on draft and bottles. They also have a pretty good selection of food on their menu They did not have a hostess at the entrance and no sign to seat yourself. A bit confusing. We ordered beer, chicken salad and a medium gourmet burger. The salad was delicious. The budget came out raw and when returned came out well-done. The onion was barely cooked. The owner did apologize for the burger mishap and we did not have to pay for it. This was their first week and it was a busy week at that. Nonetheless if you cannot cook a burger what can you cook? We will go back and try them again, hopefully with a better result. Love the ambience and the beer/liquir selection. I will get back to you on the food.

Popped for a cocktail and a snack. Ended up with the smoked salmon bites and fish tacos. The taste and combination of flavors of the Salmon bites now sets the standard by which all other salmon bites are judged. Absolutely amazing!!

Drinks were acceptable; only reason they're not getting a one star rating. We got there after attending Music Midtown and ordered a few cocktails; the server truly seemed like he was having a rough night. He was not friendly at all. My brother ordered a burger and it seemed to come out alright and he ate it all. I'm assuming it was up to par. I ordered two minutes after my brother; my choice was a Fadó Reuben sandwich. 20 minutes after my brother had gotten his sandwich, I asked out server if he could check on mine. His blank stare made me question whether I had not ordered it at all. His reply was that I had ordered it but he never put it in. Not even apologizing for the issue he asked if I still wanted it. Being that I was pretty famished from a long day at a concert venue, I said yes please. Another 15-20 minutes went by before I got a soggy excuse of a Reuben (maybe too much sauerkraut?). Again, the server delivered it and didn't even think of apologizing. In short, I would come back for drinks, but probably would choose to sit at the bar.

Thank you so much for opening this restaurant in Midtown. We love Fado but the trip to Buckhead is enough to make us want to strangle each other. We sat at the bar. Barry was our bartender. Great service and he's pretty funny, too! The Fado Old Fashioned is really good, using Jameson Black barrel which is a nice twist on the standard. Stella on tap. We ordered several apps but the stand out...Smoked Salmon bites. Oh my...this may will qualify for my "best food I ever ate" list. We also had the appetizer fish and chips and that was also really good. We will definitely be back!!!

Fado is a small chain of 15 Irish-American pub/restaurants. Though the menu is touted online as being."upscale", most of the menu reads like a menu you'll find at most pub/bar type places around the U.S. My beau & I are giving Fado a very solid 4&1/2 stars today. We were here for lunch this afternoon, around 2pm. The place was mostly empty so, we were able to choose where we sat. We were seated by & all of our meal was serviced by Randolph. He is super friendly, eager to answer any questions, and was extremely attentive through our entire meal. (I didn't get a chance to ask him if it's okay to call him The Refill Ninja, but he managed to keep our drinks full for our entire visit, without our even having at ask. I loved it!) Looking over the menu, I was actually a little bit surprised by how many American type dishes were on offer. I came to Fado in the hope of being wowed by some really scrumptious pub grub that isn't like all of the other places around here. I honestly only saw a few things that didn't sound like what I could order elsewhere. I get that places want to cater to the masses, in order to stay in business, but why classify your place as being Irish, if the place doesn't actually serve more than a few special Irish-like dishes? And I'm talking about sandwiches that I can get anywhere, or make at home... On to the food... We started with the Chips, and two Curry Dipping Sauces, as our starter. The chips were fried to perfection! They were so tender and HOT that we had to blow on them a bit, as we ate them. I love my food really fresh & hot! We both agreed that the curry dipping sauce was just a bit too sweet & thinned oit for our tastes. We love our curry a little more like a gravy, and really savory tasting. Beau ordered the Shepard's Pie. As with most Americanized Irish Pub type places, the Shepard's Pie here is actually what the Irish would call a Cottage Pie. It's made with beef, and not lamb which is what is actually used in authentic Shepard's Pie. Regardless, it was very good! The meat, and gravy are really unctuous, and the slightly browned potato on top was cooked beautifully. We both agreed that the beef in the pie most definitely could have used more seasoning (salt & pepper), but they have those on the table so, we were able to add own. I ate the salad that comes on the side of this plate, and I thought that it was really really delicious! I ordered the Smithwick's (ale-flavoured) mini burgers. Three mini burgers to a plate. These were ridiculously good! For being so small, these burgers really have a lot of flavour & are really filling! The meat is tender, really juicy, and the hit of horseradish on these made me salivate. I would most definitely order these again. One of us was driving, and we had a lot to do today so, we didn't partake of the "adult beverages" on offer here at Fado's, but we will most definitely be back & try some of those in the near future. The reasons why we didn't give Fado five stars today were: not enough seasoning in the Shepard's (Cottage) Pie, and we both really wish that Fado had more authentic Irish, or even British (gasp!) type fare, than the mostly Americanized menu that they currently have. We highly recommend giving Fado a try. You might find it to be a new favourite spot!

I've never been to Fado! What the what? Food here is average, 3, but service was amazing, a solid 4. Since I'm feeling generous, I will round up to a 4. Fado is located on the corner of 8th and Peachtree, only a 5 minute walk from the Midtown Marta station. This is one of their newer locations. This restaurant is interesting to me because the decor doesn't really fit the food they serve. To me, they tried to make bar food look high class when at the end of the day, it's still bar food. Our server was extremely kind and attentive. She asked if we were in a rush to get back to lunch, constantly refilled our waters, was accommodating to my friend's and my pictures, and even had our checks ready to go. Food service was quick but not suspicious. For lunch, my friend and I shared the rosemary and Parmesan fries. OH-MY-FRIES! Honestly, rosemary and Parmesan taste good on everything. These could have been freezer, Ore-Ida fries and I still would have liked them. Their fries come in both thin and thick cut. I am assuming thick-cut would be steak fries/potato wedges, because the thin were not incredibly thin (read: not shoestring). Everyday they gave a soup/sandwich lunch special for $10. On Tuesday's it's chicken tortilla soup and a BLT with avocado on sourdough. The soup is good, but a little too salty. I wish they put the tortilla on top so they're still crunchy when it's served. Avocado on anything is good. The sandwich was filling, but I found the bread to be too greasy/buttery. I ended up just eating the inside of the sandwich. Fado also has happy hour from 4-7p Monday through Fridays. Along with drink specials, they also do $5 appetizers on some items (including different types of topped fries, and wings). Additionally, they also have trivia night! This would never be a go-to place, or a place to take a date, but I think as an occasional hangout, or lunch spot, this Fado is definitely well suited.

Great ambiance for watching sports. Their house burger is probably one of the most flavorful burgers I've had out..had it cooked medium.

Happy hour drinks aren't clearly defined, but I was happy with my premium cocktails ($7-15) and $5 foods. The fish taco and small fish and chips were just right. Attentive friendly staff and was great to people watch from the bar.

The food was delightful & super flavorful but what really made this spot a new favorite is the amazing service received not only from our waitress but the entire staff around us during the lunch rush! Will definitely be back!

We were greeted by a hostess, but sat at the bar. This location is more trendy and louder than the one in Buckhead...less of a pub feel. Mixture of modern furnishings and old pub decor. They only validate parking for one hour at the Metropolis deck. Plenty of screens to watch sports and of course the futbol. The food was good: Reuben Sammy and the All-day Irish breakfast. Service was great; I accidentlly spilled my drink, but they promptly got me a new one...our server was excellent.
