I was so giddy to pick up my order this Saturday morning, that I made 20 minutes in advance. As I looked up the phone number to this place on Yelp, I wondered why the ratings were so low. I've never had an issue with service in the past. Today of course had to be the day that my order got jacked. I called an order of the honey-glazed salmon on a bagel thin with a small coffee. When I got the register the manager looks at my order and then yells at the staff to make it over again. There goes that convenience of ordering over the phone. In addition, I ordered a toasted Everything bagel with very light cream cheese and then realized that it was barely, if at all, toasted and cold. Nonetheless, the food is usually good (over the weekday). I usually get the Lox or honey-glazed salmon on a bagel thin and a coffee. In my opinion Eintein's has some of the best coffee in town, along with DD, and Panera.

Seriously the worst Einsteins. The staff is rude and they consistently get your order wrong. Then when you point it out, they give you attitude and say that YOU made the mistake and not them. I agree with another reviewer, the whole staff needs a courtesy overhaul. Or just fire all of them and hire actual competent, customer service-oriented individuals. There's plenty of other places around to go besides this place. Stay away!

There is one reason that they will never compete with dunkin donuts (time) it takes forever to get a bagel and coffee. Good product but who wants to wait this long except on there off day!

Usually my roommate and I will do our laundry on Tuesdays at The Laundry Lounge. We were wanting some coffee to go with our laundry and since Starbucks is out of the question we went to Einsteins.....clearly the wrong decision. I always try to avoid these chainy type of establishments and support local whenever I can, however this is the only option in sight. We went in...placed our order: 1 medium black coffee (which they didnt screw up) and 3 shots of decaf espresso over ice. This last order was a doozy for them...after repeating the order 3 times the cashier yelled to the back that she needed 3 espresso shots, to which we added decaf. It was served hot. We were given a cold cup and pointed in the direction of the ice. The guy at the end of the line was very nice though. I dont know that ill be back

What's with all the hatin' on Einsteins?! I love this place. I swing by here on my way to work usually about once a week. I usually go through the drive thru and I've always had good service and very little wait time. I usually go around 9 a.m, so maybe I am missing the rush? Their coffee is always fresh and tasty (this is coming from a coffee snob) and the bagels are top notch. I love the fact that they offer hummus as a bagel spread, too. I know Einstein's is a chain and chains get knocked a lot... but, I'm still a fan of this place. I have never had a messed up order or an experience I wasn't pleased with. I'm hooked on my good grains bagel with hummus and my medium coffee with soy milk and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Slow and had to ask about my order and then they finally started on it. The bagel selection was lacking as well.

This location needs a complete service attitude overhaul. Two stars due to location only. My order is wrong more than 50% of the time and over rings are common. Why this prime location can't do a better job is sad. Thankfully, there are plenty of competitors nearby. Come to think of it...I can't recall good service at any of the E-Bros locations in ATL.

Einstein's is a truly dichotomous experience. The service is usually terrible, so much so that they are known for this. However they have an uncanny knack for remembering your name... I have been to this place about a thousand times literally. The neighborhood blend coffee is excellent however it seems they are almost always out of half and half. I very much enjoy the Lox Bagel. Cream cheese is light and whipped and very good. I really enjoy the food and coffee at Einsteins however prepare to be baffled by the inconsistent service, it is almost part of the culture there. However they will remember your name which seems to make you forget you were just told to " hang on " by three people while they were all staring at one person make a bagel.... Weird. If you frequent an Einsteins you understand.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The rudest staff I've ever experienced. The service moves at a glacial pace as well. After giving them numerous tries because they are on my way to work, I will not be returning.

So slow! 20 minutes and counting. Still waiting inside for our order of 2 bagels. This is lame.

  • Pam D.

Coming here always SEEMS like a great idea. Soft, fresh, bagels. Hot coffee. Perfect breakfast. However, service here is really slow. About .7 seconds after entering this place or getting to the drive thru I'm reminded as to why I haven't been here in so long! It's an instant headache. Drive through takes forever, but going inside seems to take even longer. So customer alert! THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD. I've had issues at this location with them understanding what "frozen blended mocha" means. When I asked for it (...it's on the menu!) they asked me, "What kind?". After talking it out, I thought it we got it taken care of. Well, after our bagels came, it wasn't until about 15 minutes after that -- when Taylor was already done with his bagel - that I got the WRONG order of an iced latte. When I told them I clearly asked for blended, they haphazardly dumped the entire contents into a blender and gave it back to me. This was a stark difference from my experience at other locations. The seating area is not large enough to accommodate their large number of guests. Thank goodness Panera recently opened nearby! They don't have a drive through but I guarantee it will be faster.

This place is busyyyyyy. Extremely friendly staff. When we first arrived in ATL we decided to get some quick breakfast. The staff was sooo nice. Truly demonstrating southern hospitality. The bagels were also delicious. great cream cheese. my gf and I are now fans of Einstein bagels.

Ok... I am going to defend Einstein Bros. Bagels on Monroe because I am a frequent customer and the low rating is undeserved. I usually visit Einstein Bros. Bagels in the morning for a ~$1 refill with the Einstein's mug (if you purchase a mug for ~$4 the first coffee is free). The coffee here is always fresh in the morning and on level with any major coffee shop chain. They also recently replaced their coffee thermoses. Other times I come here with one of their coupon flyers or I might just stop in for my favorite asiago bagel with light cream cheese. The interior is clean & tidy, they have a nice patio, and they also sell dog bagel treats for any dog lovers out there. They have a drive through but I rarely use it. There is a parking lot with free parking too; but the best bet is to park in the Publix lot nearby and walk over, to avoid the headache of trying to head north on Monroe. Yes, Einstein is a chain, but the food here is as good as or better than many other bagel shops in this price range.

I reached out to the CFO Rick and he responded immediately, sent my yelp review along to the COO who sent to a local Manager Steve. Who called me today and had went into the store and experienced similar issues to what was in my review. Steve has confided in me what changes are taking place and invited me to return to give feedback on the visit. He was gratful for the feedback, learned much about yelp and will be a regular visitor to yelp.com . Rick, Steve Thank you for reaching out, its leaders like you that continue to win my business.

I have to be honest, usually the drive through here is kind of slow and the staff is not rude but not super friendly either, HOWEVER, ARAMIS (I hope I spelled that right) IS AWESOME. I went through the drive through today and had the most wonderful experience as soon as I pulled up to place my order. The person working was so genuinely nice it truly made my day (not to mention that the bagel was delicious). I actually had two people tell me how pleasant I was later that day, when I was shopping, and I give all the credit to Aramis from the Monroe street store for putting me in such a wonderful mood!

Went here yesterday at 1:20pm and was waited on by the most angry and disinterested woman ever. She literally said, "Yes?" when we approached the counter to order. She had a frown on her face the entire time and tried to rush us through our order... and we were the ONLY customers in the place. She had a tattoo with the name "Leo" on her left forearm and Einstein Bagels corporate should be embarrassed to have her as an employee. I'll be sending an official complaint to their HQ as well. Wow, so awful. At least the bagel sandwiches were pretty good. The staff appears to be in charge (inmates running the asylum), with no visible managerial leadership to be found.

I drive past this every day to work and last week, I finally couldn't resist stopping for a bucket since I was utterly famished during my commute. It was my 2nd trip to this location. The first was a quick drive-through for lunch. This morning, I was going to go through the drive through, but there were already 5 cars in line so I decided to go inside. There was no one ahead of me in line, yet it still took almost 10 minutes for anyone to say hello to me and ask me what I wanted. Once someone finally paid attention to me, it was a bit difficult to keep that attention as I read out the bagel flavors that I wanted in the bucket. The employee kept wandering off or talking to a coworker between throwing the bagels into the slicer. My drive through experience was no better. I placed my order and drove around to no cars in front of me. Not a car, but a woman on foot ordering from the drive through window. She did get her food nearly immediately, though, so I pulled up and waited. I hear one employee say to another what my order was and it started to seem to me as if they had forgotten to make my food until they were reminded of the order by my car outside their window! After several minutes of waiting, I finally got my lunch. The food was tasty as always, but the service at this location really needs some improvement.

This location is under new management and the new manager--with, it appears, almost 50% new crew members--are really turning things around. Our kids LOVE Einstein's, and it's the only bagel shop in the neighborhood, so my husband and I went here reluctantly, holding our noses for pretty much the past decade. The team members were sullen, loudly fighting with one another, and orders were regularly screwed up. On the one occasion that I made a major complaint to the (former) manager, he made no apology and literally rolled his eyes. NOW, the manager usually takes your order, the staff are talking to one another, and although one order still came out a little cold, they immediately took it back and got us a fresh, hot one--with apologies. It's not gonna be a New York bagel, but it's a heck of an improvement and we may actually start going there with enthusiasm!

Though the bagels are good - it appears that the store clerks feel that no customer is important. They don't get it that without customers, they do not have a job. They do not think that they should show ANY appreciation for you stopping there as opposed to the new Panera Bread less than 1 block away! I ALWAYS have gotten GREAT service a Panera Bread - and the 1 time I did not, it was address immediately. Whoever manages this location does not care about customer service. It is clear upper management does not either from what I see - Einstein Bros asks for your review at bageltalk.com but obviously they do not do anything with that date because if they did - this location would have a COMPLETE overhaul!

The only reason I give this place 1 star is because I have gotten bagels here once & it been OK. The service has always been slow, my order has been messed up only realized after I've gotten home a couple times. But, today was the last straw. I will NOT go back to this place. I went to pick up bagels w schmear and came home to see that my bagel had a long black hair stuck in the schmear. I almost gagged & obviously through everything away. That is just horrible!! This store needs to be reported to corporate.

No complaints on the food or coffee, however it usually takes well over 5 minutes from the time I order until I am handed my bagel and latte. It actually took 9 minutes Monday morning while going through the drive thru. Not my idea of convenience when you're running late for work. Which I always am. I would prefer swinging by Einstein's than McDonalds any day, but really can't stand being 10-15 minutes late to work because Einstein's can't get their act together. If you have time to spare, stop on by - but if you're like me in the morning, keep the car in drive.

I was in here earlier and I usually rather enjoin Einstein. But today was an exception. I'm not @ this one very often but alas this Review seemed necessary nonetheless. Anyway, I walked in and up to the counter and after 5 min. I was greeted. 5 min later I was asked if I wanted to order anything. Needless to say I had already been standing at the Order Here sign for 10 minutes. I wish I could sag it was busy and I seemed oblivious, but that was not the case. There were 2 other patrons there, but it looked like they had been there awhile since they were finishing up their meal. And I had asked if they were ready to take my order twice already. It takes alot to push my patience but they were def trying their best. So I order a bagel w/ butter and a caramel latte. Well the bagel ended up being room temp and the butter on it was still fresh and unmelted, interesting right? Oh it gets better. My latte was ALL syrup. It tasted like it was about 4 pumps worth of caramel. Just way to rich I almost spit. Overall the visit was unfortunate to say the least. Thus should keep me out of Einsteins for a few months. Cest la vie

After working out at LA Fitness Ansley, i was starving!!! I called my hubby to find out what he wanted. He got really sick on Saturday and hasn't really eaten much. You know when someone is sick when he replies, "Um...can you bring me a bagel dog from Einstein Bros?" I was like Bagel dog...really...oh-kay!?!? It's been awhile since I have been here. When David and I crave for bagels, we only go to Belly in the Virginia Highlands. While I was standing in line, I was trying to figure out what to eat. Bagel..eh, too much carbs! How about a sandwich...no, I really want breakfast. Maybe I will get a bagel dog too....no, I definitely don't want the other gays in line thinking I am going to eat two bagel dogs! Breakfast wrap...now we are talking! I ended up ordering a bagel dog for David and the Santa Fe wrap for myself. I also grabbed one of their raspberry lemonades to sip on while I drive home. My wrap was pretty good! David scarfed down the bagel dog...can't go wrong with that option! I would go back...I just need to remember that its there! I do agree with Katie though about the service. I think ordering, paying, waiting for food took about a good 20-25 min! That's a bit long for take out!!!

Not to thrilled. I think it is the location. NPDNWH= They need to replace the staff. Terrible service. They could not even get my order right. There was only one other person in the store. The employees were just hanging on their cell phones chillin and being loud. How difficult is a power bagel with peanut butter and a medium drink. I stopped drinking Soda June1st. So my options are Tea or water. Their sweet tea was disgusting. The whole experience grossed me out. From now on I will only go to the one at Perimeter or Druid Hills Rd.

I like the food fare that Einstein's offers but I never come to this location because the service flat out STINKS. The first time I came here I went through the drive thru, which is a nice feature when all you want is a bagel and hot tea. There was ONE car in front of me and I waited over ten minutes. I would have just left the line but due to the parking lot design you can't and there was a car behind me. So, the next time I came here I decided to go in. The lady who took my order was rude but she got the job done. It was busy so I expected to wait a little while on my to go order. People that had arrived after me started getting their orders so I walked up to the register to ask if mine was coming and the lady said to me, "it's busy, we'll get to you." I wait another five minutes and ask again. Come to find out they had lost my ticket and never prepared my bagel and hot tea. At this point I'm livid and the staff didn't care enough to even apologize, which would've been very appreciated. I've been a few other times to this particular location and had bad service every time. I drive a bit farther and go to the location on N. Druid Hills instead.
