The food is not the best and the wine selection is horrible. I did enjoy the lamb chops. They were very flavorful but the menu sucks! They need to add a larger variety to the menu. The food was a disappointment for Ethiopian cuisine. I would not recommend this spot for food. Only to lounge and listen to music. I would have drinks before arriving here too. lol. It's not upscale as described on their website. Huge disappointment actually.

Terrible valet who argue with you over parking in city parking spots that you already paid for so they can put their orange cones down and charge people $20 for valet. Rude. Odd sort of decor and atmosphere inside, not at all like what they are in the pictures. Yeah it's a no for me. The wait staff were nice though.

Terrible. Arrived around 2 pm and they still charged $20 and held the line ... When there was no line. When I got to the door, the girl wasn't paying attention so I laid the $20 on the table and she called me back and asked me to hand it to her because "it's a respect thing". Terrible sound system. Music was so loud but very unclear.

This place lacks quality. There is absolutely nothing positive that I can mention about this lounge. Let's start with the food. I ordered their chicken pasta and what I got was a heap of poorly flavored chicken bits and perhaps 6 pieces of penne pasta buried in the dish somewhere. Again, not only did it lack flavor but the meal took an eternity to come out of the kitchen. Evilla serves watered-down juice. How does this happen when there's not even any ice in the pitcher? Both flavors (we had pineapple and another flavor which was very difficult to distinguish because it tasted like sugared-water) had zero taste. Maybe they are on a budget. Now, let's briefly talk about Evilla's service. The waitress we had serving our table was a blonde-headed young lady; she was ok. The only thing I didn't like about her service was that we had to hunt her down for everything! When she finally came at our request, she would forget to come back with whatever it was we asked for. We definitely were not picky nor were we nasty to her. Things can get busy and hectic, however there is still an obligation to be met to your patrons. After all, this is your livelihood. Next, the DJ. My, my, my, did he suck. We were there yesterday, the night of Berto vs Mayweather fight. I have never seen a lounge clear up so fast because of the type of boring music he played. 90% of his selection was hip hop and the remaining percentage was a medley of other garbage. That DJ needs to get hip with the program. Moving on to the atmosphere. There really isn't much to say but this: If you are looking for a cheap hookup with a girl who looks like a man, then you've come to the right place! If you want to go to a lounge with just slippers, jeans, and a wrinkle shirt, then you've come to the right place! If you feel like waiting on line outside because there is SO MUCH HAPPENING inside (sarcasm), then you've come to the right place! If you feel like being around a bunch of people dancing and smoking in the bathroom, then you've come to the right place! If you feel like going to a lounge to party with a crew of barely-legal-looking people, then you've come to the right place! I hope this review has helped many in making an informed decision.

Sadly this lounge didn't 'wow' me like I heard it would. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't extraordinary either.. From the extremely casually dressed bartenders(jeans and sweatshirts and tennis shoes) to the twelve dollar martini. I felt it could be better. I'm not the type to leave bad message or reviews about an establishment but Evilla ended terribly. Our waitress "Patrice" was absolutely terrible. We had to find her 4 times to order our food. For the 4 hours we were there she only checked on us twice to the point where we had to ask another waitress to attend to us. On top of that a friend who was in my party, her card apparently did not work when they swiped it, Patrice, waited 30+ minutes to inform my friend that her card was not working. So logically one would think that you would try to key in the card number or give her card back and ask for another, but instead she held her card, in her bra, visible. She told my friend that she to had to hold her card without any other explanation. We asked for the manager and she did not get her, so I did. When I explained the situation to the manager she looked lost and confused and also did not agreed with the situation. She told me she would handle it and that was that. Well it wasn't, she talked to the waitress in front of my friend and the waitress walked away mid sentence and so did he manager in the other direction.... So that is when we had a problem. I went to our waitress and asked her to give my friend back her card and I'll pay the tab. She proceeded to yell at me, I asked her to lower her voice and try to reason with me. She said that she didn't know where my friends card was and tried to walk away from me like that resolved the issue. So my friend and I were finally able to located the "hostess" who had her card on the lower level off the establishment. She was very reasonable and keyed in my friends card.. And guess what it worked!!' She apologized for her co worker and said that our waitress "Patrice" did not even try to key in my friends card. Long story short. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone unless you have a very high tolerance level and plan to pay in cash. The customer is always right in my experience in customer service but apparently that is NOT common knowledge at E-villa. The rest of the staff that serviced us were amazing.

Amazing authentic Ethiopian cuisine fused with Southern American dishes. Very pleasant to the palate! Beautiful venue with an amazing ambience. You will not be disappointed!!! Should you decide to stop by, tell'em, 'Tracey referred me!'

Wow! What a gem! Excellent service (ask for Lady...superb service), great hookah! Poetry, comedy and good music! Definitely coming back on my next visit to Atlanta!!

We went last Friday night for my boo's birthday. We ate upstairs and reserved a booth downstairs for party time. After eating, it took a minute for them to find and clear our booth downstairs because some people ignored the reserved sign. After that there was a minor mix up with our server, she thought I was dumb. A $150 bottle +t/g is not $230... but someone with some sense fixed it and we were good (thanks BJ). We were a party of 13. Some ate with us, some came later. The food came fast and was amazing, drinks were good, the no smoking upstairs came in handy while dining. The downstairs is a long narrow room with a DJ and small dancefloor in the center, it got hot and smokey, but the music was good and we had an awesome time! I'd def come back!
