Very nice establishment and a good solid meal. The burger was good, and is known for the in-house ground beef that is made from the trimmings of their choice steaks. A good burger. The fried green tomatoes for an appetizer were fantastic. A great blend of flavors with seasonally ripe green tomatoes, shaved green onions, and a blue cheese topping worked very well together. A good size appetizer for 1-2 people at most. A good solid meal, plus you can enjoy the breeze of downtown and the sounds of bustling traffic, while relaxing on their tree-covered patio in the shade.

We had a reservation for 8 originally, and actually called quite a few times to change the time of our reservation and then finally the number in our party down to 6. We were DragonCon attendees, and they even let us come in costume :) Great customer service! The hostesses were very accommodating. We also had someone in our party with a severe seafood allergy, and she was well informed and attended to. No problems! The fresh chips and spinach dip was TO DIE FOR, and my husband lamb burger was perfectly cooked. I also very much enjoyed my french dip, the meat was so tender! THE FRIES ARE THE BOMB!!!! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

PROS - the chic modern dining room, service, wine CONS - the food If your idea of a night out on the town is to sit in a nice posh setting amidst the modern decor that isn't too pretentious while enjoying decent wine and good service this may be the place for you. If we add food into this equation, you should leave, immediately. This is an overpriced incompetent steakhouse in name only. Think of it as a wolf in sheep's clothing. The restaurant's kitchen is shared with a Turkish restaurant located on the upper floor and Cuts steakhouse beneath. Certainly there must be a profit making motivation devised of the synergies that come from such an arrangement. Why go to the expensive steak restaurant when you can get the same more value oriented fare at the sister Turkish restaurant? The problem with cross utilized kitchens is the food in the steak restaurant which should emphasize the natural flavor of the meat prepared came out tasting like a kabob that was on the other restaurant's menu. Yuk. This experience has led me to the conclusion people are absolutely clueless when it comes to good food or have terribly low standards. There are real steak restaurants to be found in Atlanta, this isn't one of them.

Surprisingly relaxed steak house with a pretty and elegant atmosphere. Our server Mark was on point with taking care of us and making suggestions. I had the 21 day aged ribeye topped with lump crabmeat and green peppercorn sauce. For a paid side I picked the garlic cilantro fries, so good! There are some burgers and dinners here, but the premium steak items are a la carte. Very nice place and I would eat a steak here again anytime. Be prepared to splurge!

Came here with a group for dinner and seated right away around 6 pm on a Monday. The restaurant got noticeably busier right after we arrived. Very nice ambience and very clean restaurant conveniently located. The server was very professional and explained all the menu options and specials. The goat cheese fritters were amazing. Just the right amount of crust and sauce with slivered cheese over it. Temperature was good. Crispy potato chips were served with the spinach dip which made it interesting. The server came out with a bucket of a big loaf of bread. I ordered the lamb chops which were made from a nearby Mediterranean restaurant. They were deliciously season and very tender medium rare. The rice was tasty and moist with some sautéed spinach over it. The temperature of the food was good. Servers were attentive. Quality of the food was good but menu is pricey so this was expected.

Just ok. They didn't know what Pittsburgh blue was and my streak came back almost medium. Everything was just ok. I expected more. I wouldn't go back.

I am not the biggest fan of steak since it is not good on my digestive system but always I wanted to go the restaurant since it was walking distance from my old apartment. The interior design of CUTS was very nice. I started off with spinach dip. It was not the best spinach I have had but it was still good. As my main course, I order the rack of lamb. I loved the lamb but I was not the biggest of sides since I do not like rice. The service very good. I could tell the waitress was very knowledgeable about menu. The next time I go to CUTS I will order a steak.

Great food and service. My steak (filet) was perfect, tender and flavorful. The appetizers were awesome. We got the fried green tomatoes and the Goat cheese fritters. Some of the best appetizers I have had. Service was excellent as well. The sides were just ok. The bread was warm with yummy butter.

Got the 12-oz Ribeye with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts (mixed vegetables). The steak and mashed potatoes were great, though I asked for a Medium Rare and it was more Medium (couple others had the same issue), and the Brussels sprouts were tasty, though they could have been cooked a wee bit longer. Great service.

This place sucks. The service sucks. The food is pretty bad for a steakhouse that looks like it should be higher quality, esp since they had us take off our hats because its a fancy place.... and then we walk in, and we see a dude with a hat on... SUPER RUDE. Anyways. the drinks were okay.. we found something brown in our drink, dug it up, and it was a fly. and they tried to tell us it was part of the muddled pineapple. Please see picture for reference. You would think they would comp us for the drink... no, they just replaced it. but later gave us another drink 'on the house' which we have come to believe is the same drink with the fly but without the fly in it... The steak was okay, it would be better drowning it in A1, the burger was pretty terrible, and for such a fancy place, you'd think it'd be something better than iceberg lettuce. The sesame tuna was so bland i added a bunch of salt and pepper. The only good thing here was the fries. and the goat cheese risotto fritters. I would never come back here again.

Bartender did not know her drinks very well...essentially heavy alcohol...a hair short of doing shots. Our waiter was very good. Food solid.....not exceptional...my steak came out lukewarm & overcooked. There are better steakhouses around for the money

Showed up, put in name with hostess. Sit at bar waiting for table hostess doesn't show up, so we check again. Hostess says she is getting our table, never comes back. Waited at bar longer, finally ordered there.

Very good food, nice atmosphere, and wonderful service. I was at a meeting with coworkers and we chose this restaurant on the recommendation of the hotel concierge. Very good choice!! One of my coworkers lost a diamond earring that night somewhere along our walk to and from the restaurant. She called the restaurant the next day and they checked the booth where we sat. They found the earring in the fold of the seat and called her immediately. What a wonderful statement of the caliber of employees this establishment hires and maintains!! Kudos !!

CUTS has become my favorite restaurant in the downtown Atlanta area. Last year I discovered CUTS SteakHouse and loved it. This year is no different. The ambience is nice and relaxing. You fit in whether dressy or casual. The prices are very competitive for a steakhouse. Their food is delicious and drinks are wonderful as well. The service, though, is what has really got me hooked. The servers are very friendly and professional. As well, the managers are surprisingly generous and several times gave us a round of free drinks or desserts. My colleagues and I left feeling spoiled. You definitely get more than you pay for. I highly recommend.

Sujen was superb! I wanted one of their signature cocktails but I am not a fan of coconut rum. She brought it to me with coconut vodka instead. She was super relatable and friendly, will definitely ask for her next time I come!

Steak is subpar. Go to Kevin Rathburn's if you want your life changed for the better. The prime rib was enjoyable, more fatty in the middle than I would have wanted it to be. The mashed potatoes, spinach and asparagus were great though. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Being right downtown and in the heart of the city is exceptional, great location. The servers are on point with the service and very professional.

Sorry I hate bad reviews but I got a house special filet mignon and flag went up when I realized the special with mashed potatoes was $7 less than just a filet Food came and my steak was already cut. With the grain it was tough and I honestly do not believe it was a filet. It was tough cold on the outside and not shaped or tasted anything like a filet. Needless to say it was a bad experience I most likely will not be eating there again.

The ex and I wanted to grab some lunch during Dragon*Con. I had passed by the restaurant so many times while walking around and saw they had a burger special for lunch, so I suggested it. We didn't get off to a good start. It took a long time for our waiter to get to us. And the place wasn't even busy. When I saw a couple who came in after us getting taken care of their waiter before us, I was pretty pissed. But our waiter did apologize when he did get to us. The service was better once it actually started. We decided to share the Cuts burger (with Vermont white cheddar) and the Cuts Knife & Fork Cobb. The burger came with garlic cilantro fries. The burger was OK, but nothing to write home about. The salad was pretty good and had PLENTY of cheese. Too much for me, in fact. The fries were again OK. That was enough food for the two of us. I did dig the atmosphere. I wouldn't be against trying them out another time, but I would branch out and try another item.

We stayed at the Omni hotel and were looking for a decent place within walking distance. I love a good steakhouse and this place did not disappoint - great outdoor space makes it a game changer. The waiter recommended the 12 oz, peppercorn-crusted NY Strip, topped with crab meat (with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus with truffle oil). For $45 this was well worth it. Everything was cooked perfectly and was really delicious. Waiter also suggested the surf and turf - 12 oz filet with a beer battered lobster tail for $65. Sounded amazing. Will definitely have to try it on my next time out to Atlanta.

While staying at the Marriott down the street, Cuts was the perfect place for dinner. On a busy night, we were seated right away inside. The decor was very eclectic and fit the atmosphere. We were immediately greeted by Justin who served as a fantastic waiter all night. He was extremely courteous and offered suggestions when need be. On top of all that, he walked us out to a side door that would give us a shorter walk back to the hotel in the rain. Safe to say I've never had a waitress do that before. I ordered the slow cooked pork ribs with garlic cilantro fries. The ribs were so incredibly tender and had a perfect sauce. The fries were a generous portion and had a great seasoning. I only wish I had more room for dessert! Check this place out, they also have a cute outdoor eating section.

By the end of service the server did a 180 but the beginning was shaky. I asked what the soup of the day was and was told "Let me ask, it may have changed." Well, it was 11:30...so just be honest and say you didn't ask. Then while he was gone, we overheard the waiter for the table next door explaining all the specials. When our waiter reappeared he told us the soup and then asked if we were ready to order. I stated "Well, we would like to hear the specials that the other waiter told that table about." He got defensive and told us one (very expensive) special. I asked about the sandwich special and his reply was "Oh, its not very big and I don't normally tell people about it and you might be watching your carbs." Say what? Would he say that to a table of men? When he returned to take our order there seemed to be a positive shift in his demeanor. Then we ordered Lamb burger, French Dip and Ponzu salmon. We got Mac N Cheese as the sides. The food was very good (especially the mac n cheese) and the service for the remainder of the meal was very good. We also ordered the apple cobbler and the pecan brownie which were quite tasty. Cuts is in a difficult location and they really need to be excellent to sustain patrons who have many local options.

Food is really good here. What's annoying is there is no parking validation and the lot next door charges $10. Service is a hit or miss but I do recommend this spot

Good steak. Good service. Good sides. 3 "G"s in my book gets four stars. After a long ride in high heat a steak is what I needed. The filet ain't as good as one my my Big Green Egg. But it hit the spot. I will return. The Mac and cheese and cheesy grits were very good. Just my mistake for ordering 2 cheese sides.

Located in the Downtown's central area, Cuts Steakhouse is a convenient restaurant for a fancy dining experience for residents of the nearby Hyatt and Marriott hotels! As expected from a fancy restaurant, the decor is modern and the environment is quiet and clean. However, the biggest winning point is the food of course! Even though I went into a steakhouse, I ordered the shrimp and grit entree, which came in a decent proportion that was surprisingly filling. I personally didn't like how the dish was more cheesier than the other shrimp and grit dishes I had before, but I definitely appreciate the size of the shrimp and the freshness of the ingredients. Maybe I'm just not a cheesy person! The meal ended with a creme brulee, which did not fail to deliver a sweet delicious experience. Absolutely solid. Of course, all this was a bit pricier than usual, but I think if you are willing to splurge for a night, expect a phenomenal food experience in a great setting from Cuts Steakhouse!

In town for a business trip and was looking for a "non-chain steakhouse". Well this place fits the bill. Doesn't look like a "steakhouse" but the steaks are as good as it gets. Menu is a-la-carte but even at that, $40 for one of the BEST Rib eye steaks at any price. Only negative is the outdoor patio dinning. Your right on a busy intersection and bus route.

Not sure where to start . I'm the worst food and restaurant critic. I will ALWAYS find something wrong. I have a F&B background so we are the most critical. I've got NOTHING, ZIP, NADA bad to say about CUTS. Unbelievable!!! Ribeye , Prime Rib, pimento Mac n cheese. The best. Wine selected by our server Ashley from St. Louis. Honestly she made the night. No tip was enough for her. The GM Hussein, Owner Musso were beyond words. Best food n night I've had in a long time. Worth the hr drive for sure. Just go! That's all .

5 star food 6 star service!!! My servers Ronald and Kevin made this sleepy trip to dinner into a desirable dream of pure royalty! And to top it off the ice cream and brownie combo was mastered to perfection!! Ronald made the best scoop of ice cream and brownie after discreet instructions. This was the first experience where the master scoop of ice cream was accomplished with no hesitation or contemplation. This is the best place for steak in the ATL!

Excellent ribeye steak. Service is excellent and very professional. Nice romantic atmosphere and great music. Don't come in sneakers. This is an upscale restaurant. A little pricey but the food is delicious!

**Review based on service experience** 1.Came here after a conference and had a wait of 40+ mins past our reservation time. 2.We were told we could not sit outside bc of storms...however there were no predictions of rain or a single cloud in the area. 3.We wanted draft beer but they did not have a single draft option available. Manager did by us a round of bottled beers however it was after our meal when we no longer wanted drinks and even expressed that. 4. Air conditioner was also broken (end of july) and their solution was to bring in giant fans **review based on food** Great flavors, awesome perportions! Worth the visit for the food but probably only during odd hours since establishment doesn't seem to know how to handle crowds or how to honor reservations

Went in a party of 6. All were happy with their entrees, whether it was seared tuna, crusted salmon, surf and turf or what I ordered which was the shrimp and grits which was quite tasty. A little pricey but excellent food and service.

We walked here from our hotel for a late supper. The service was friendly, attentive and prompt. Our food was served just as ordered. My husband's medium-rare burger was perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the iceberg wedge salad. The bread for the table was fresh, hot and crisp. We told our server that we were going to share the Georgia cheesecake and appreciated it being presented on two plates, each with garnish. This was much nicer than the single plate with two forks we expected. We would dine here again.

Was surprised at how good the food was! We sat on the patio. I had the sirloin over garlic mashed potatoes, and hubby, the rack of lamb. The atmosphere and service were both great! Will return.

Cuts is trying to be something it's not. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic steakhouse. The steak was amazing. Everything else seemed to be simultaneously "trying too hard" and "completely overlooked" For example: Weird hanging bottle "art" on the walls that looked like it was taken directly from some ill-advised Martha Stewart magazine tip. Bar stools from Ikea that were completely out of place with the rest of the furniture. Plastic faux-stone wall decoration. Some slapped-on bathroom decorations with industrial "mens/womens" signs and the same soap and paper towel dispensers you find at any public restroom. The waiter, similarly, seemed uncomfortable and nervous, like an inexperienced actor playing part of "fancy waiter at a fancy restaurant" To his credit, he didn't bug us often during the meal, but he also didn't really check in on us either, and my boyfriend hadto flag him down when my steak was overcooked. About the steak: I ordered mine "blue rare," and specified "cold center," while my boyfriend ordered his medium rare. Both came back medium rare, and exactly the same level of "doneness." I mean, you couldn't even tell the difference between the two. They did take mine back and replace it with the steak I ordered, but it was annoying, and left me eating my side dish at the table watching my boyfriend eat steak. The food could have been worthy of the amount they were charging for it -- if only the restaurant, staff, and attention to detail could keep up. As it is, it's like someone tried to put together a restaurant, having never actually been to a high end steakhouse. Just a bizarre experience altogether.

Very pretty decor, attentive service, great drink, good food! Had a very good sweet rum cocktail, tuna appetizer, rack of lamb which of 4 pieces 2 were a little more than medium but still delicious!! Got the asparagus truffle was good! My friend had the lamb burger and he really like it.

Cuts doesn't make the cut - the slightly better than average food (3 stars) was completely overshadowed by the horrid service and attitude of the staff (minus 2 stars). I was on a business trip, so I was a party of one. I did not have a reservation, which seemed to upset the brain trust of three hostesses and the painfully insincere manager. Other parties that came in without a reservation were given the same shoddy treatment. I was offered seating at the bar, which I declined (there were plenty of convention drunks in the bar for Cinco de Mayo). After waiting 30 minutes, the manager said my table was ready - in the bar. I was getting late and other restaurants were busy as well, so I took the seat. The bartender was obviously annoyed she had to get out from behind the bar to serve me and one other table, and I should have left then. I few minutes later she came by with a menu and bread that was warm on the outside and barely defrosted in the middle. My rib-eye steak and potato was obviously a difficult order, as she had to come back twice to clarify my order. A few minutes later the steak showed up, but no potato. I inquired as the the whereabouts of the potato, and she said she would get it shortly. Apparently in Atlanta that means no less than 10 minutes, more like 15 to 20 minutes. When I asked her for the THIRD time about the potato, someone from the kitchen did bring it out. About 10 minutes after I finished my meal, she came by to clear the table. Another 10 minutes went by and she finally came by with the check. Her sorry attitude remain constant for my entire stay. After reading other reviews on Yelp, I would agree the service stinks. I would spend my money elsewhere.

This place is schizophrenic. It says it's a fine dining steak house (with the prices reflecting that) but when I was seated, it looked s lot more like a sports bar. There were TVs every 2 feet, plastic place mats, high tops with metal stools, etc. If you are going for sports bar, that's fine, but don't ask the table next to me to take off their ball caps because it's upscale. On top of all of that, the floor was elevated and it bounced when anyone walked by. Incredibly off putting in any setting, much less a fine dining establishment. Service was adequate. The waiter was nice enough but didn't know the (limited) wine list. My reservation was at 7:00 but they had already sold out of all the specials. Food was uneven. I ordered a ribeye medium rare. They nailed the temperature. This steak was the best part of the experience. I was a little surprised how thin the cut was though. The grits were OK, nothing to stand out. The Brussels sprouts were half tough and half overcooked. The creme brûlée had been fired earlier in the day and refrigerated. When it came out it was covered in a layer of condensation, cold and gooey. Management - I will give the manager credit. He circulated around the tables and when I said the meal was "just OK" he asked for specifics. I relayed what I have written above. He apologized and took the desert off. I thought he handled it well. To sum up, if you are looking for a high end restaurant for a client meeting or date night, then look elsewhere. If you are just looking for a good steak on your own, or to watch a game, this is a good place. Just make sure to sit at the bar where the floor doesn't bounce.

When new spots pop up around the city- I try my best to pop my head in. With Father'Day last weekend, my GF and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try this restaurant. The decor at this spot is extremely nice- tons of wood and nice lighting. For the meal I had the prime rib, with spinach and pimento cheese Mac and cheese. It was delicious and the sides are definitely shareable. My GF had the filet with the grits and cilantro fries- her meal was good as well. All and all it was a good experience- and I would definitely return.

Ordered a16oz Prime Rib medium rare. Came out medium almost medium well. Said something to the waiter who asked me to cut into it and he looks at it and says it looks medium rare to me. Everyone else at my table agrees with me so I send it back and ask for rare if that is there medium rare. Second prime rib comes out and is medium at this point I just said it's fine cause I was hungry. Nothing really to rave about, I will give them that patio was nice and overall service was good.

I like a nice steakhouse. I didn't know what to expect from Cuts steakhouse but I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and modern decor on the inside. This restaurant in the heart of downtown may seem hard to get to but it's well worth the trip to Atlanta. I had the 12 oz ribeye cooked to a medium, the pimento macaroni and cheese, and the escargot as an appetizer. The appetizer was really good, first time eating escargot and I definitely enjoyed it; I think the sauce it was cooked with was what made it great - a nice lemon butter sauce. The ribeye was amazing, grilled perfectly and seasoned nicely. The Mac and cheese was also very nice but I didn't make much damage on that since the ribeye was my priority. The server was very nice. He seemed new like he was still getting the hang of it but he had a good attitude and checked with us a lot. The drinks were the most flavorful but the alcohol was distinguishable; that's a good thing in my book. Definitely will be back! Good choice for a date!

This place is good for a date or a small dinner party! I love the decor. The lighting and the vibe was nice all around! Its got a wonderful location right downtown! The dinner portions were average size but very yummy. I will go back! One thing that did bother me was when we got there around 10PM (they close at 11PM) no one was at the front to greet us and my boyfriend had to walk up to a waitress and ask if we could sit and eat and she told us that the kitchen was considered closed because they were slow at the time. Right as we turned around the manager came after us and told us that we were more than welcome to come eat! Over all this is a wonderful restaurant and I will go back

No stars is my rating but I have to post a star. Horrible service by untrained staff with average food at high prices. ... And it takes an exceptionally poor experience for me to write a bad review because I'm in the business and have empathy for most places.

  • Megan B.

It was apparent as soon as I walked in the door that this place is new. The staff seems a little unsure but extremely friendly nonetheless. The atmosphere is pleasant. It's dimly lit and trendy. We sat in the bar for drinks and appetizers. I will say it is extremely overpriced and agree with some other reviews that it is trying to be what it's not. I find it bothersome that for an $11 martini they use well vodka they don't even use Smirnoff or a lower grade vodka. A "fancy" restaurant shouldn't even stock that kind of vodka and knows no one wants it in a martini. The price for a regular martini with an upgrade to a better vodka was $15 and the blue cheese in the blue cheese olives was dried out and seemed to have been stuffed in days before. My boyfriend got a double jack and coke. She asked if he wanted a bigger glass or the single glass. He said single... Which ended up being equivalent to the size of a double shot glass. Smaller than any drinking glass I've ever seen. Both cocktails weren't so hot. The food was overpriced for the quality and size of what you get. The escargot was not as good as I would expect it to be. I've had way better at some of the restaurants they are imitating. Spinach dip was pretty good but not worth the price. Overall two small average appetizers and two decent drinks rang us up at nearly $60 before tip. If the prices were lower I would've given a better rating but the value is terrible. An overpriced Applebee's with the facade of an upscale steakhouse.

In town for the AIA conference and we stopped by here for dinner our first night. I was looking forward to some good ATL grub but was pretty disappointed with this place. We ended up sitting in the bar area and ordered drinks/entrees there. Our waitress was nice although a bit aloof....which wasn't a huge deal but added to the whole awkward experience here. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was just okay. The mac n cheese was a real downer - the cheese was definitely curdling not sure if thats due to too much cream or what but it was NOT what i had envisioned atlanta mac n cheese to be like. My coworker had to send back her plate because they brought out the wrong cut of steak. They ended up taking it off the bill. The service and staff also didn't seem very warm. A pretty subpar experience for our 1st night. I won't be back.

Call me old fashioned, but when I pay over $50 dollars for a meal I have higher expectations of what that meal should include. At the very least, I shouldn't have to sit with an empty glass waiting on a refill of water or soda. I shouldn't have to ask two different managers to turn down the music blasting out of the speaker near our table on the patio. And most importantly at a steak house, when I order my steak medium rare, it absolutely should not come out well done. We should have turned around and walked out the door from the first moment when we were informed that our "online reservation" was only good for a table on the wet patio. Telling people who are standing there with a good reservation that they 'really should have called" is not helpful. The chairs were wet, the overhang kept dripping on us and the music was clearly being used to lure people in rather than entertain those of us already there. The menu was full of options ranging from $24-$40 for entrees, none of which were cooked properly when they came out. One of the people at our table ordered ceviche as an appetizer and it didn't even come out with the entrees. We had to chase down the waiter to find out what happened to it. The drinks were OK, but they only had one drink menu / wine list because apparently all the others had gotten wet / destroyed in the storm. He brought it to us to begin with and then took it to give to another table, so I took the waiter's recommendation on a glass of wine, the price of which he misquoted by $2. It wasn't terrible, just seriously over priced. When we eventually tried to pay our check, we had to wait for some time before our cards were taken and one of our companions was on the phone, so he had to wait even longer when he came back to get them to accept his payment. In fact, he had to chase people down, and two of the people he tried to talk to did not seem to understand what he was asking. He eventually found the waiter (who had gone on break) and paid, but sincerely waited 10 minutes at the very least. Closer to 20 probably. Unbelievable. 0 out of 10, wish I could give less. Terrible value, I have never felt so ripped off when going out for a nice dinner.

Underwhelming from start to finish. Several of us were in town for a convention. Earlier in the weekend I walked past Cuts and there was an employee standing out front, handing out cards, shilling for business. It looked like it might be a decent place to get a steak, so I made a note of it and went on my way. The next day one of my friends made a reservation there for us through open table for 7:15 that evening. When we arrived there was some issue with the reservation, and they told my friend that open table wasn't a good way to reserve a table with them, and to just call. We were wondering why bother with having the open table option, then? We ended up being seated outside, as there was going to be an interminable wait for inside seating. It had rained previously, and several of our seats were still nicely moist from the rain, with no real way to get them dry, aside from using your backside as the towel. We ordered drinks, and those managed to come out relatively quickly. I asked the server for a recommendation for a glass of cabernet, he instead steered me toward a glass of Meomi Pinot Noir. (Which is an excellent pinot, no doubt, but it also told me that the only decent cabs they had were not by the glass, which wasn't cool. I did see two solid bottles of cab on their wine list, neither of which was available by the glass, and both of which were over the $100 mark. I wasn't planning on killing an entire bottle of wine by myself that night, so I went with the recommended pinot.) Once we got the drinks sorted out, we ordered food. The menu was simple and not confusing, so that was something OK, at least. At this point the music being piped outside was so loud that we couldn't have a decent conversation. We asked if it could be turned down some, and they said they would. After a long while, the music actually seemed to get louder. At that point we ended up just yelling at each other, "WHAT? I'M SORRY, I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE MUSIC" until a manager heard that and turned down the music. I understand that you want some background noise that isn't traffic going down the street, but seriously, it was very loud. It took a long time to get food. It didn't get there all at the same time, and some people didn't get what they ordered. Even after trying to sort everything out, at least one person never got their order, even after several attempts to rectify the situation. My steak, ordered medium-rare, showed up well done. I waited for it so long that I didn't bother sending it back. One of my colleagues said that he had purposefully ordered something on the menu that he figured they couldn't screw up, and his was OK. Getting the check was like pulling teeth, and also caused a lot of consternation. We did ask for separate checks, which I know can be a pain. One of us ended up waiting another 20 minutes to get his check, and they then didn't bother taking back to run his card for at least another 20 on top of that. My check was $61 for one glass of wine, an over-cooked steak, and a side of brussel sprouts. (The side was pretty decent, actually.) This before tip. Honestly, if you want a steak, go to Longhorn, you'll get a better steak for half the money. If you're stuck dining in the downtown area, go to Rays, it was much better for the same amount of money spent, with much better food and service. Overall I have to say that you should avoid Cuts. I've seen other reviews here that give it bad marks, my experience was in line with those reviews.

Steak was soso. I had the filet and thought that it wasn't anything special. The mac and cheese side didn't impress me either. I would put them in the category of an expensive outback.

This is the worst restaurant I've been to in Atlanta so far. Don't go there if you want a good steak and potato. You will surely be disappointed!

Giving this place even one star is painful. Our waitress was the worst waitress I've ever seen in my life. We had to ask for her every time we needed her. It was like she had to be reminded that we were there and needed to order food, and needed to retrieve the appetizer that we ordered from the kitchen, and needed our check- and needed our check to be split up properly. The manager was an idiot. When asked about the bread and butter we ordered he joked "you guys came too late- we are out! Haha! I'm just joking!" (Mind you we arrived an hour before they closed and several tables were sat after us.) The steaks weren't cooked the way we ordered them. For our troubles- the manager gave us Creme Brûlée. Yes because we'd love to stay longer when it already took over an hour to get our food.

Visiting Atlanta from New York and wanted to try a place that would be good for date night. We were greater by an amazing nice staff, sat at a beautiful booth table, and had the nicest server. She was sweet and knowledgeable. I am not much of a steak eater however our waitress suggested the special for the week which was an Asian meat paired with BBQ shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes. I decided to get that and my boyfriend got the ribeye. We started off with having the shrimp cocktail and the sesame seared tuna, they both were amazing! Before our food came I had the pino nior red wine which was one of the best wines I have ever had. The food came out and like the rest of our meal was beyond amazing. My boyfriend, who eats steak all the time, said it was the best steak he has ever had in this life. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steakhouse, friendly staff, and amazing food! Will come back if I am in Atlanta again!

Below average. Metro style atmosphere, quite nice seating arrangements our waiter tonight was a bit slow in servicing. Pricing compared to other high $$$ steaks house is better. $26 approx. Had a Cesar salad that was above average. The NY Strip meat was not better than a Lonestar or Outback steak house. Disappointing. Food did not match the ambience. Convenient locations to downtown hotels. Would not give it another try.

PROS: BEAUTIFUL, inside and out. The decor is awesome. This place used to be a Bennigan's or something and they did a remarkable job renovating. We sat outside and it was a perfect summer night. Great, fast, friendly service. Reasonably priced and our steaks were seasoned perfectly. CONS: First, let me say, I'm pretty hard on steakhouses. If you tout yourself as a steakhouse, you should know steak. We decided to try this place out during Restaurant Week. We both had NY Strip. I ordered mine medium rare only to get a medium well steak. He ordered medium and got well. I HATE to send food back, but I wasn't going to be able to eat it overcooked. When they brought out another steak, it was pretty much just seared rare. At that point, I gave up. At home the next day, I warmed it up a few minutes in the microwave the with a few drops of water to keep it moist and it was delicious. Overall, don't go expecting a high end steakhouse. You can expect to have a nice time in a lovely atmosphere.

I went here for dinner while on a business trip. The service was great and the steak was one of the best I'd ever had. However, the menu was really limited and the restaurant had a little too much of a chain steakhouse feel.

This is a super nice restaurant for either a romantic dinner or a nice business dinner. The food was excellent and the service was good. My husband enjoyed his steak very much and I enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer and a shrimp cocktail. I was completely satisfied with my meal. They were generally gluten free knowledgeable and had a nice port wine on the menu as well. While a little pricey we were happy to randomly stumble upon them during our journey in Atlanta.

The best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Portions were pretty big. The service was also great! A few people at my table had steak and one person had the salmon. Everyone loved their food. A bit on the expensive side, $25 average entree. For an entree, extra side, and a beer my bill was about $40.

This place is awesome! The service was amazing and the food was sensational! We had a party if 7 people and we all ordered different things. We all left saying that our meals were outstanding! I visit ATL often and I'll definitely be making my way back to this restaurant. I highly recommend it!

When for a business lunch over there, in this huge freezing place with love r&b music, there was literally 5 peoples in the restaurant but it took them more than an hour to start to serve...The food is average, the place looks good but it's not worth a penny. To avoid.

I was looking for a lunch place to hang out with a colleague before an evening flight, and we passed this restaurant a couple times, but assumed it was too expensive to be able to expense later. The smell of the cedar planters was so nice that I suggested we at least look at the menu. I am so glad we did - the prices were more than reasonable and it was a lovely afternoon on a great patio. My favorite things about this restaurant are the small details that were thought of - the tree perfectly planted in the patio to provide shade, the orgasmically good dinner bread with garlic butter, a sophisticated but unfussy ambiance, and very attentive service (our waiter, Steven, was fantastic and we were even greeted by the stellar bartender, Edward). The food was great: nice-sized portions, my sales guy's shrimp and grits were AMAZING (so so hard to find), and it was no problem to make some alternations to our dishes. The drinks were also wonderful - I opted for several of the sangrias, and also tried my colleague's Georgia Sunset which was crisp and addicting. For an off-menu fruity surprise, order an Edward's Island. In short, this restaurant has immense potential as it is brand new, and I expect to be a regular as I want to hang out on that patio every time I am in Atlanta.

Worst service I have ever had. We were never assigned a waiter. It was fairly busy and every server/busboy completely ignored us. Food was ok. They comped us desserts because of the terrible service, then put the desserts on the bill. Definitely avoid this place!

Came in for a leisurely meal around 4 on a Friday and had 4 courses over many hours until after 7. Everything was delicious and ester was perfectly attentive without being overly so. Had the Four Cheese Spinach Dip for appetizer, House Salad, Filet with Lemon Butter Sauce Crab Lump and Garlic Mash and Brownie With Ice Cream and Coffee. Tried two local beers they had on tap which were pretty good. Love the decor and general atmosphere and will certainly visit again if in Atlanta.

Beautiful ambiance and decor!! Paid parking conveniently located next to the steakhouse. My husband and I ate here for a pre-Valentine dinner. He had a taste for Prime Rib(his favorite). Cuts Steakhouse is deceivingly smaller than it looks. When you enter, there is a bar area with lounge seating. The lounge area could use a few discreet space heaters or radiators. Most of the patrons, myself included, commented on the cold temperature and kept their coats on. I suggest requesting seating in the main dining room. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. I would not recommend ordering this dish. The green tomatoes are very thinly sliced and are paired with blue cheese crumbles that are so overwhelming, you can't even taste the tomato. We also ordered the House & Iceberg salads. I enjoyed the house salad, especially the dried cranberries. My husband ordered the Iceberg Wedge salad; ask for the blue cheese dressing on the side. It was very heavy for our taste. For the main dish, I had the Ribeye Med Rare/Medium- it was overcooked. But the recook was perfect. My husband enjoyed his prime rib. I would recommend Cuts Steakhouse for a great date night. Just don't order the Fried Green Tomatoes.

The food was melt in your mouth! I had the aged Filet.... You could have cut it with a spoon! My husband had the aged Prime Rid.... I couldn't keep my fork off of his plate. So juicy and flavorful!! I only left a 4 star because of the service. We Had to ask for drink refills and had to request our waiter check on us! He could have been having a bad night. FAB FOOD

Downtown Atlanta restaurants live and die by the weekday workforce in the area - and the convention/tourist industry. I was a bit worried a few years ago when "Truva" opened their Greek restaurant. It would seem that a single-cuisine restaurant, other than American, would not do so well over the long haul. But the owners devised a brilliant plan. They split the building they were in - moved the Greek restaurant upstairs and remodeled to add a steakhouse (Cuts) in the downstairs space. It's a cute remodel. And I think they should do well. On to the actual review. I had lunch there on Tuesday. Me and my lunch-mate both had the same meal - Cuts Burger with Vermont white cheddar, served with their signature cilantro garlic fries. It was delicious! I would recommend them unreservedly. Great service, appropriate portions, reasonable lunch price for a steakhouse (both of us ate for $24). I will definitely try them out for dinner or possibly use them for a work group function. Fairly easy to find them - with parking garages on either side of their location. I know people tend to get skittish when talking about downtown Atlanta, but I think you'd be perfectly fine at this location.

Great drinks, service and food! Our server (Isaac or Isaiah) was awesome! Very outgoing, took the time to listen to questions and was well informed on wines. Steak was perfect. Appetizers perfect size. Great location too. Definitely will be back next time I'm in town.

Nice looking place, the food was decent. I had the skirt stake w/ butter lemon sauce and cream spinach. Service was Okay, although didn't look very busy or packed there was a 15 min wait time. Knock some beers down while you wait at the bar.

Great Job, Cuts! My experience at the steakhouse was phenomenal. Typically, me and my collegues dine at Ray's in the city when we are in town. Great steak and sushi but very pricey. We decided to try out Cuts because of it's close proximity to our hotel. We sat at the bar because we did not feel like waiting for a table in the back. Our order consisted of the prime rib, lamb chops, and skirt steak & lamb sandwich. Sides included the garlic mashed potatos, wedge salad, and the vegetable of the day; brusselsprouts with bacon. Everything across the board was fantastic, cooked to our specifications. The brusselsprouts surprised everybody at the table. They were steamed and topped with (real) bacon bits, and shaved parmesean. The bartender was very accommadating and the manager, Hussein, made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We had a great time at this steakhouse and compared to Ray's, the food held its own at only 80% of the price. Our new steakhouse in Atlanta is Cuts, thanks to the great service and delicious food. Will be back again!

Three of us went, two of us had good meals. Third asked for medium well steak and it was RARE. At those prices, it should have been perfect. Wouldn't go back!!! The manager tried to make it right, but that is pretty bad if a steak house serves a rare steak to someone that ordered medium well!!! I will pass next time, too many other great restaurants in ATL

Went for Valentines Day and it was a great time. I had the new york steak with a lemon butter sauce and crumbled blue cheese with mashed potatoes and a white wine. And my bf had the new york steak with the cuts signature sauce and a lobster tail with mac and cheese. I ate off his and my plate, definitely going back for my bday in april.

Food was good. For appetizer we has goat cheese rissoto fritters. Ther are good but you only get 3 tiny ones for 9$. Cuts burger was good. Garlic fries that comes with it are really tasty. Also tried au jus sandwich. Meat was a little salty. The au jus was the most salty thing I have ever tried in in my life. Service was odd. Its the best way to describe it. They were very polite but did weird things. I ordered a beer. I got the food and completely forgot I never got a beer. When we asked for the cheque we politely reminded them that we never got a beer as to not charge it. They said oh I know you never got it dont worry I didn't charge it. There was no apology or anything. But it wasn't a big deal. We paid and I asked for change. It took ten minutes to get my change. In that time our waitress presented me with a giant glass of beer on the house. Just finished eating what am I supposed to do? Chug it? She finally apologized and told me they were having problems with the draft beer tap. This should have been resolved earlier not as I am getting ready to leave.

Just had lunch today. Mixed reveiws. My co-worker ordered a French Dip sandwhich. I've got to say it looked fantastic....My meal was a different story. I ordered the lamb burger. Just for the record, lamb is my favorite meat. I've had it prepared just about every way you can so I know what good lamb tastes like....and this was not it. When the manager came by I told him the lamb burger was bad and he told me "Well we move a lot of lamb"....to which I replied that might be so but this lamb definitely tasted funny. He then replied "well maybe you were not used to the way it was prepared". No....what I'm not used to is being served lamb that smells & tastes spoiled. What he basically said was....the lamb is fine....your and idiot because you dont like the way it was prepared. Just to be clear....there was nothing "unique" about the burger that could have confused me....it was on a bun.....with some lettuce......and a tomato. What did confuse me was the terrible taste. Back-handed insults are not the way to build repeat business. Tip for next time.....how about saying.....sorry you it's not to your liking....can I get you something else....

The service started out good until a big group showed up, then we were forgotten. There were mistakes on the meal (one item was left off and my customer could not start eating until it arrived. We all waited for it to show up and then the food was cold. This was a business dinner and I wanted it to last through desert. However, since it took so long for anyone to stop by and offer, it was too late. I wish I had selected a different place. I will most definitely not bring customers back to this location.

I went here for lunch with a group and we all had some type of sandwich. The sandwiches were very mediocre and I didn't think this was anything special. It might have been better if I got a steak, but rating this based on sandwiches, I would say it's fairly average.

  • John J.

It's a 3 star steak house. It's between a Longhorn/Outback and a higher end such as Ruth's Chris/Rathbun. Price point is appropriate for the rating. Excellent service.

    (3)
  • A W.

I had the shrimp and grits with added spice as suggested by the waitress. It was very good, the other people eating with me had strip steak and that was good also. Service wasn't as great as a capital grille or Ruth's Chris but it was acceptable. We each tried a different dessert and they were okay but nothing to rave about. Great place to eat if someone is paying for you or you have a discount but otherwise I wouldn't recommend.

I have never been to a more disorganized restaurant. After the rudeness at the front desk upon check in, we should have left. We sat for at least an hour before we received our beverages, another hour before we had our appetizers and never received our entrees. The woman's bathroom had no toilet paper or paper towels. Service appeared slow and inexperienced. Plates and glasses were being dropped on the floor and not cleaned. The kitchen may have been overwhelmed but the management was unapologetic. After two and a half hours, and no entrees, we asked for our check. The management was unorganized and the staff was a reflection. At ten o'clock, we had to find dinner elsewhere. Definitely not recommended.

Went there last night with a large group. We were seated right away. The food was delicious, especially the garlic cilantro fries! The staff very friendly but seemed a bit off their game. I'm not sure if there were some problems with the registers, as we waited for our bill for over an hour. At one end of the table we were thirsty! Not a single refill on our waters and our waiter didn't ask if we wanted refills on our drinks from the bar. Here's a tip: large group of people traveling on business (obvious since we asked for separate checks and some of us were carrying conference bags), out for dinner late in the week want drinks! Lots of drinks! Luckily for our waiter the 18% gratuity was added to our bills, otherwise he would have been very disappointed.

I am giving this restaurant a 5-star review for the French dip, not the steaks. I can't comment on the steaks, as I only had a sandwich at the bar. As a self-proclaimed French dip aficionado (my favorite sandwich - I have probably had over a hundred from different restaurants all over the country), I have to say this was one of my top 5. Excellent, thinly shredded prime rib and asiago cheese. Toasted, so that the meat was well cooked with crispy edges, as I feel a French dip should be. We aren't talking about a steak here - just a French dip. The fries were great too! Not really a complaint, but just a recommendation - ask for extra Au Jus when you order. The tiny cup of Au jus is about enough for half of the sandwich only, and it's tough to dip in such a tiny cup too. A bigger cup of Au jus would make this one of the best French dips that I have had! They gladly, and quickly got me the extra Au jus, so I was very happy. On the service side of things, the bartenders were attentive and pleasant. They always addressed me by name (they asked when I sat down). No matter what person it was behind the bar, they always asked "how is everything tasting, Scott," or "Scott, are you ready for another drink?" Nice touch. Drinks were stronger than a measured shot, but not too strong. I like that - they were perfect, though pricey. Jim Beam for $8.50 - I would expect an extra little splash for that much for a typically rail bourbon. This place is highly recommended. I would love to try the steaks next time, but with my love of French dips, I'm not sure I could resist getting the much cheaper menu item instead since it's so good.

I've been on Yelp for a while, but never actually wrote any reviews. This was the first time I felt moved to write one. I was at a conference over in the Sheraton nearby and my colleague and I wanted to grab a nice dinner close to the hotel (a full day in heels = not so fun). We're so glad we ended up here - we even stopped by for lunch the next day before I left for the airport. Yes, it was *that* yummy! First of all, the servers and the hostess were amazing (thank you, Edward!). Incredibly knowledgeable about the food they served, checked on us often, opened doors when we came and and left the restaurant, provided witty banter, and just made the dining experience an awesome one. The place itself is wonderfully decorated. Although I was with my colleague, we both agreed the decorations were top notch. Romantic and sultry, but still a good enough ambiance to bring a large group. Before they come out with your entree, they provide a warm, flaky basket of bread with their butter (ours had thyme). Melted in my mouth; I could go there just for the bread alone. But I'm glad I didn't stop there. I had the shrimp and grits because it was mentioned several times on Yelp. And let me tell you - it did not disappoint! It's apparently a recipe that was passed on for 3 generations. They provide you with lots of shrimp over a bed of hearty grits. I am by no means a grits expert, but I do eat a lot of shrimp! Shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Added bonus - they actually don't leave on the tail for you, so it's less work. :) The grits were a great consistency and I think I licked my plate clean (my mouth is watering just thinking about the grits). Plus, the shrimp and grits paired perfectly with my white wine. (I never knew grits could be a great pairing!) Again, I had such a great experience for dinner that we came back for lunch the next day and sat at the bar (where, as luck would have it, Edward was again our server). I had the steak salad and immediately fell in love with the dressing. The hangar steak was cooked medium rare (perfection) and it was both not too heavy and filling. Seasoned well! And if you get Edward at the bar, ask him to make his special drink. Something with crushed oranges - it was heavenly. I know it's a bit away from the main part of Downtown, but I (obviously) highly suggest that you stop by this place, sit back, relax, and enjoy the food and ambiance.

started to write a poor review because the sandwich I ordered (French dip) took about 20+ minutes. after I told my waiter my the sandwich was out in a minute or two and shortly after the manager came by to check on me and several other tables. vey good service but the dip was a little too salty for my taste. probably bc of the fresh shaved Parmesan on it. the quality of the beef was great, fries were not, and the au jus was super salty. would try it again but with a different dish. nice atmosphere but overall experience due to the long wait and saltiness of food I have to give it 3 stars. oh, $11 for it was cheaper than I expected to pay... next time I'll try a specialty item and see the quality.

Took my 16 daughter for nice night out alone. Overall experience was moderate at best; while the decor and vibe inside is actually pretty cool (not sure what the deal was with previous post - they are in the bat section and complained it looked like a bar?); the food was average to a little above and the service adequate at best. We had cheese dip app - not impressive as mostly creamed spinach with some parm sprinkled on top - just no real flavor. Seared tuna was prett good; my daughter enjoyed the shrimp and grits.

Edward and the team were great. They made what was meant to be a fast dinner feel special and well-considered. The good was great, portions not overwhelming. This is a newer restaurant and I hope they do well. If you are at a conference in town and close by, don't miss out.

Our reservation was at 10:30 we got right in. The drinks took 25 minutes. And it was only a glass of wine., and a margarita. Which came with salt and we asked for none. Food took almost an hour!! And it was so so. Only good thing was the server was nice. don't bother. I would never return.

Cuts earned 5 stars on all accounts. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great! I enjoyed shrimp and grits--the best I've ever had, by far--and my friend had a burger, which came with delicious and unique cilantro fries. And the prices were very reasonable for such a great dining experience. I look forward to my next visit to Cuts!

The atmosphere, prices, service, food were outstanding! Visiting from the NE, was most pleasantly surprised by the low prices! Had the cuts burger and the garlic & cilantro fries (delicious), my friend had the shrimp and grits and said they were the best grits ever (the server said the chef prepares the grits from a 4-generation family recipe). Highly recommend!

Food was just ok, service was the most un organized restaurant I have ever been in. They finally brought us plates and bread and two seconds later someone else picked them up. Zero customer cognizance and or concern of all the mistakes. Save your money go to outback.

Came in for a late lunch. Had a lamb sandwich which was so dry. I am guessing that they use the leftovers from the day before to recreate the meal. I couldn't salvage it with anything to moisten it up. Oh well. Ill give this place another try. Love the ambience and service was personable.

The service was absolutely awful. We waited an hour for our appetizers, and then another hour for our salads. After a total of two and half hours we still didn't receive our steaks. The management was not very apologetic, and we left without receiving our entrees. Stay away. They don't know how to run a restaurant.

My wife and I walked here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night after not being able to get into another place (Alma Cocina) that was packed. There were seats available at the Cuts bar so we ordered dinner from there. The bartender was very helpful (though their beer selection was unfortunately very limited). The food was very well prepared if unimaginative -- basic sides that were dull but enjoyable enough. The prices are surprisingly good. The room itself is very attractive; someone did a nice job on the interior. Overall, I recommend it.

I took the advice of the concierge of the Westin hotel but sorry now I did. if your looking for excellent steak house go Mortons or Ruth Chris instead. For the same amount of money you'll get better quality food and a lot more of it. I couldn't believe the smallest portions of the wedge salad and sadly pathetic looking pour for a $12 glass of wine. The filet with pesto mash potatoes was equally disappointing. The small amount of steak for $32 was ridiculous and was overpowered by a heavy pesto... not a good combination. To make matters worse, the kitchen staff was hanging out rudely talking by the bar and arguing amongst themselves so loud to distract other diners as well. Go elsewhere you'll be glad you did.

We just had 15 people there and it was slow but took us 2 hours to get out of there. If your server name is Brandon and you go at lunch you may want to ask for another server as he is EXTREMELY RUDE. Not only did he make us go on sequential order to do the checks but tried to silence us as we were talking so he could give his order. The food is actually good here but the service here today was ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. If you are think about lunch... only do to go as the food is very good. My thing is with as much as you pay for the food the service is not adequate.

Very convenient - Walking distance to the Downtown area convention hotels. Service was fantastic. All of the servers were very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Unfortunately, I was only there for business lunches (two days in a row) and just got a salad each time. The Steak salad was cooked to perfection. The Cobb salad was really good as well, but the chicken was a little dry. The other items ordered, including a burger, looked really good. If I am ever back in the downtown area of Atlanta again, I would like to try it our for dinner.

Hands down, the worst attempt at dining I have ever experienced. Twenty minutes for 1st drink, 45 minutes + for apps, 1.5 hours salads, 2 + hours, we left. Management was disengaged and unresponsive.

What a great place. Thought we might be underdressed for dinner but everyone welcomed us in. I was not that hungry and would aim for something small. First, Justin was our server. Awesome. I cannot say enough about his manners and knowledge. Ordered a 12 oz steak and ate it all. My friend ordered the filet with the biggest asparagus we ever saw. Her drinks were great. Truly a great experience and will go back again and ask for Justin.

Fantastic food and extraordinary service from each and every employee. Edward is our particular favorite. He is knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and professional. On the second visit during our trip, we were seated outside of his section but were pleasantly suprised when he stopped by to say hello. Cuts is at the top of our list for atlanta restaurants.

Was staying at the Westin for a business conference this week and stumbled upon Cuts. We arrived a little after 8pm and the place was rather empty. There were also zero prior reviews on Yelp, think they're newly open. Anyways, the service was excellent and very prompt. I had the hanger steak cooked rare and it was perfectly seasoned cooked to perfection. Good wine selection too. All in all not bad, I'd definitely go back! Good luck!

The food is good but they can't handle a big crowd. Steak was excellent, sides were nothing special. Waiter was god awful, took him 20 minutes to get us water and spilled a beer all over me. If it's not crowded I would definitely try this place out. If it's packed RUN!!!!

My husband and I chose this steakhouse for our one and only dinner on a short business trip to Atlanta. We were pleased overall with the atmosphere, ambiance and service. The food however was hit and miss: Caesar salad tasted like it was stored in the fridge, too cold and soggy to eat, the Caesar dressing was okay, strong garlic and lemon flavors. Iceberg Wedge: worst blue cheese I've ever tasted, Park Bar has better blue cheese with their wings. Asparagus - BEST ever! Filet and Ribeye - delicious!! Especially for choice beef, they do not have prime steak, but it was really tasty. Perfectly crusted sear on the outside and deliciously warm and red in the center. Garlic mashed potatoes, terrible, dry and boring. The complimentary bread was phenomenal, that may be an exaggeration, but I loved it, especially with the salty lemon thyme butter. Apple pie, meh. I didn't care for it, I love sweet dessert. Should've tried the brownie. Overall, I would say Cuts is worth a try.

Picked up lunch today from Cuts and I was sorely disappointed with what I received. I ordered a french dip sandwich with cheese grits on the side and no cheese on my sandwich and some horseradish sauce on the side. The sandwich itself was overcooked, the meat was not very flavorful, I was expecting a french dip similar to what you get @ Houston's or J Alexanders--which are incredible. Also, I received no Au-jus on the side, what gives? The grits were alright, a little cheesy. I probably will not go back to this place, food not that great and a little pricey for what you get!

I dined here Valentine's Day and it was a total joke. I called ahead to get directions and no one could tell me where the restaurant was except that it was "across from a parking garage" which is most of downtown so that was really helpful. When we got to the restaurant we were asked to wait, but no one could say how long. 40 min later we were finally seated. Our waiter was the worst. He said they didn't have cocktail menus when we saw them at the bar, never brought more than one menu, never brought silverware, he disappeared for 30 minutes at a time, forgot our salads, brought another table's sides instead, and got our entrees completely wrong. Every time he walked by the table he ignored us. Everything was very delayed. It took almost an hour to get drinks and bread and another hour before our entrees came. Even though the order was wrong we took it because we didn't want to wait any longer. The waiter never offered an apology or reason for anything. There was a manager checking on us but he was clearly overwhelmed and busy so he didn't offer much help. It was obvious that the tables around us were upset too. At the very end I couldn't help but to laugh at what a mess Cuts is. The worst part is that the food wasn't bad but the staff ruined the experience. They did voluntarily comp the meal, but honestly that's the least I would expect after what we went through. Hopefully this place gets new staff and works out the kinks because they won't survive otherwise.
