As every cold stone store the quality of ice cream is not a problem. Always delicious! But wait time is absolutely ridiculous. Im writing this review while in line trying to get an ice cream. I have been waiting 20 min and im only half way in line. DEAR MANAGEMENT, please HIRE MORE STAFF! This way maybe your staff will be more friendly, would make more tips and would smile more. I hope the ownership should take this as a huge compliment, since people are willing to stay in line for 40 min for an ice cream.

Mmm, ice cream. We came here as a cheaper alternative to the fancy ice cream shops of Atlanta. The line was short when we got here, so there was only a little bit of time to decide on our orders before reaching the glass display. We tried a couple flavors before I decided on coffee ice cream mixed with chocolate shaving, for the java chip feels. A small cup with a free topping turned out to be $3.79, which is definitely cheaper than those fancy ice cream shops I referred to (ahem, Jeni's and Morelli's) but the serving size was also smaller. If Jeni's could offer a serving size this small for a more affordable price, I would totally make the drive out just for the ice cream. As we sat in the seating area, the line for ice cream grew longer and longer and never seemed to diminish the entire hour we sat there eating and chatting. Cold stone is apparently the place to be on a Friday night in Dunwoody.

I've been here twice now, with two different handlers. And maybe it's just the base I get (French Vanilla), but the ice cream here is always half melted. Perhaps, their "cold stone" isn't so cold. Not sure what the problem is. If you like ice cream soup then this is your location. If you like firm ice cream then try a different location. The service here has always been great.

I have been to this Coldstone location a few times and have had very different experiences. I came here a few months ago for the first time and sampled a few flavors to see what I liked. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making suggestions and trying to get me something that I would like. I ended up getting chocolate ice cream with cookie dough and oreos. Everything tasted great and it was a solid experience which made me want to come back to this exact same location. However, the last couple of times have been disappointing and have fallen greatly from my original visit. So the past times around, they happened to have dark chocolate ice cream which is my all-time favorite flavor of ice cream. The ice cream tasted great and there was no issue with that. I always have to have toppings on my ice cream because I just can't eat plain things especially with massive scoops of ice cream. So I went with cookie dough, oreos, and fudge which is pretty much one of their signature creations. After they had scooped out my ice cream, they were about to mix in the toppings and told me they were out of cookie dough so I decided to go with brownie instead. Then they told me that they were out of BOTH toppings so it was a little annoying because how can you not have some of your main toppings in the middle of the day. To make up for it, I decided to get a waffle bowl and proceeded to pay. Once I took a bite into the waffle bowl, it was stale and just ruined the whole experience. It was a rough trip and I wasted over $6 which sadly I have never had an ice cream shop experience be this poorly. Hopefully it's back to normal next time around...3 stars based on overall visits.

Like many other reviewers have mentioned, this place is often very crowded. Staff is pretty nice and friendly and try to accommodate folks who want to taste the ice cream. The ice cream itself, isn't that amazing, I mean its not as creamy as the best ice cream, and combination wise it never really impresses me too much with the options you get to add. Nevertheless, its ice cream, so for a fix during a hot day, might as well get some if you're around.

I really wanted to love this place. I'm not sure what my other experiences have been like at other Cold Stone's, BUT the ice cream here wasn't that great. Which was a surprise, considering a regular is around $5. That translates to about.... 1 cup, maybe. When I ordered, I asked if they could put two ice creams into one regular cup. The server seemed confused, but when I spoke louder and pointed out the two ice creams, she nodded like she understood. Check back to when I was picking up my orders. Someone other than the person who took my order had "created" the ice cream, and they were two separate orders. Which is not what I even wanted, or ordered, but I had to pay for it because I'm not a rude asshole. So that was a little over $10. Which was enough, cost wise, to get a pint instead. The flavors of the ice cream I tasted weren't special in any way. I've had better ice cream from the grocery store (Publix, anyone?) that was a fraction of the cost. I got The Pie Who Loved Me (Cheesecake Ice Cream with Oreo Cookies, Graham Cracker Pie Crust and Fudge) and Cookie Minster (Mint Ice Cream with double the Oreo Cookies and Fudge). The mint taste is... nonexistent. If I'm getting mint ice cream, shouldn't it TASTE like mint, and not like vanilla ice cream with Oreo sprinkles? The Pie Who Loved Me was better, but the cheesecake taste was somehow... off. I guess I was just expecting more from a company that has been reputed for its tasty ice cream treats, but I'm thinking now that it's the gimmick of the place that has charmed people, and not the actual taste of the ice cream.

I love the service. Everyone is pleasant. Be careful of coming during peak hours, the line can be out of the door, but it's worth the wait. I always get the Birthday Cake remix and have boughten the gallon of ice cream from here. The store is normally kept clean and it has a Blimpie section.

I've been here a few times and the experience was fine...nothing horrible, nothing fantastic. None of these visits were on a super hot summer day like today. It was perfect, hot ice cream weather. So of course Coldstone was I packed. That is good, except for the line was not moving. They need to hire more staff in order to speed up the process. Also, it was HOT inside! I was sweating while I was in line. So uncomfortably hot! It felt like the air conditioning wasn't working, as I might have been standing outside. Between the line not moving and the crazy hot temperature inside, I won't be going back.

Service is great and fast. Staff is very friendly. The reason I went there was for some ice cream. This is not your ordinary ice cream. Its richer and thick but nice. Top of the line!!! Be careful tho...calories will sneak up on ya lol. #cheatday

Very poor customer service . First time here and I am appalled by attitude of the girl who helped ( probably a college kid who is here just for the heck of it). Very disappointed !!

This place is always out of something. My co-workers and I go to the Blimpie on occasion when we need something quick bc our office is right across the street. It's become a running joke of "What were they out of this time?" I've been when they are out of BREAD! A sandwich place and they don't have bread?! Today, they were out of turkey. We will all be so happy when Lenny's opens up nearby.

Ugggghhhhh what a pain in the butt when they are busy. They never appear to be concerned about getting people through fast, but dang it that ice cream is tasty! Sweet cream and Oreos FTW. I wish I could say I've had better. But the only place I'd choose instead, if they were equal distance is Jeni's. This place is 3 seconds from me. They don't even sing anymore though! Which actually might be a good thing...

These guys hates working here. First I waited forever, they charged me wrong amount, took forever to give my money back and then screwed up everything. New and better employees are needed.

Good ice creams chock full of whatever ingredients you want right in front of you. This location was on the smaller side, but it's a huge national chain so expect the same thing you get at any of the locations.

Like it - because I can only indulge a small amount to keep my diet on track. Love it - because the vanilla with nuts and chocolate chip in a waffle bowl dipped in chocolate and sprinkles was just too... Gotta have it - because... geez... how could anyone say no to sweets like that?!

Management doesn't care to run a tight ship so the place is very dirty both behind and in front of the counter and it is shared with a Blimpie's. They definitely weren't ServeSafe when we were here. It also followed the previous reviewer with the long line. Sorry to see this location give the Cold Stone brand such a bad mark.
